Very professional and thorough app. I am very pleased with this app!

Is this thing on?. I’m a PTA. I’ve loved this app for years and recommend it frequently to other professionals. However it has started crashing before it opens and I can’t reach tech support. What’s going on?

Pro apps. These apps are completely useless the interface is just terrible you can't do anything you want to do and the pro apps or even worse than the essential anatomy five. The pro apps such as the Hip pro foot pro heart and knee pro give you no freedom of movement. Viewing and selecting things is a pain. As these apps are right now they are completely useless if they were anything like this essential anatomy five they would be amazing. I am a 2nd year med student.

First rate app for Physical Therapy. As a clinician, I find it impossible to remember every origin and insertion of every muscle in the body. This app has been an invaluable reference tool to guide me during manual interventions needed to rehab my patients. It's also been useful for patient education to help them better understand various diagnoses. I've previously used this app on my iPad, but now I have it at the palm of my hands with the iPhone 6+. There were several other anatomy apps in the app store, but this is by far my favorite. It's easy to use, the graphics are beautiful, and my patients love it. Besides, the price was right and worth every penny. I wish I had this as a student!

Needs improvement. I thought it would give you better access to the muscles. You actually need to look up on a list the muscle to see it. It would be nice to touch the muscle on the full body view, have it zoom in to it and give you the pin to click for information. When you look for the muscle on the list it does this cool effect that removes the layers of muscles covering the one you want to see. But as soon as you move it you lose the information pin that shows up at first. I think there should be a way to turn it on or off. Like the hints on how to zoom in or out. I like the graphics and the information of the muscles, but it would be nice to have more control of what you want to see. Thank you.

The media comes up as black on my phone. I invested in this specifically to see the functions of each of the muscles and really liked that this app apparently had a demonstration portion. But when I click on Media, it just comes up as a black picture and no demonstration. I just paid money for this and I’m not happy about it

Not supported by iOS update!!!. I updated my iPhone and now can’t use this app. PLEASE UPDATE THE APP TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE CURRENT iOS VERSION!!!

It's a good app but bad interface. It's really choppy and it could be updated.

Pretty great.. Not many options for the tests, especially when you are only studying some of them. I would have bought the package one with muscles, skeletal features etc. if I saw that one first. Still a really great app! Has helped me boost my grade up a whole letter grade in Eval.

Great app as an artist. I'm an art student and do a lot of figure drawing, for which it's key to have an understanding of anatomy. There are a lot of first rate anatomy books aimed at artists, but I haven't seen one whose drawings or photographs are as clear and easy to read and understand as the ones in this app. Being able to drill in or out between skeletal and surface views is fantastic, and impossible to replicate in print with anything like the clarity here. I gave the app 4 rather than 5 stars only because it would, I think, be easier to use if it were possible to zoom in or out with a pinch gesture and to scroll around the image by dragging. But that said, it's a very impressive piece of work.

Could be a great app. The design is beautiful but the app itself is basically useless. My guess is a lot of people involved with the app have written rave reviews. For the price you should be able to do more than just look at layers of muscles. They should have oi action, antagonist, innervation etc... Available when you click on each muscle. If they added this it would be a perfect app. It's also not very intuitive. It would be so easy to have a walk through within the app.

Muscle pro iii. This has to be my favorite app. I refer to it time and again. Great explanations. Helps me understand what my doctors are talking about. I'd give it 10 stars if that were an option!

Incompatible with iOS 11. Purchased the app just to find out that it is not compatible with the up-to-date iOS. A total waste of money... Folks, we need an update! Your app is being recommended for those who are taking a personal trainer certification course...

3d is so much easier than flat. I've gone to several web sites to find 3d medical images. Some are good, most are poor. The web sites don't provide that much information. This app provides a lot of good info. I'm a coder and I work for hospitals. The muscle system is the most difficult, for me at least, body system. I'm really good with skeletal but when the ortho docs start talking about the muscles, I get so lost. I can't believe how much this app and the others have helped me. I type the muscle I'm looking for into the index and there it is. The magnification is really good, too. This is just an app but there is no just about it. The web sites that use 3d are just suckering you in so they can get you on their mailing list. If you not comfortable about the price, buy the free one which is muscle system, head and neck. I was blown away. I had to have the apps. I do have one question though. Are there going to be apps available that cover pulmonology and other systems in the body? The digestive and urology are good but pulmonary, heart and other popular body systems would be great. Thanks for a great app. It helped me the first day I got it. I also enjoy just looking at the different muscles. I've also bought the cardiovascular system.

If People Like This Why Stop?. The developer says this will be the last update to reassess where to assign resources. Are they assessing correctly? I argue they could use professional input!

Wonderful. I use it all the time. Makes a great teaching tool for patients.

3d4Medical Muscle System App. Review. I have been making an effort to learn anatomy as well as possible during my undergraduate career, and I can honestly say that this application has been a huge help. For me, a 3d model is one of the best ways to learn something. I am a very visual learner and sometimes reading charts just doesn't cut it. Also, knowing that working in 3 dimensions with actual people is what matters when it comes to helping people makes this very specific to the real thing. I get a sense of how things are oriented far better from an easily manipulated model than a flat textbook with great limitations on angles of view. I highly recommend this as a learning tool. -Random dude on the internet

the muscular system. This is very useful program for anyone studying anatomy. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I am expected to have as good a grasp on musculoskeletal anatomy as anyone out there, and this program has been very helpul in my studies. I do wish it was more geared for iphone functionality, however. Moving up and down with the touchscreen, and zooming in and out with the pinch function of the iphone would be very useful. I already use the program a lot, but would use it much much more if it was more functional with capabilities of the iphone. Overall, I would recommend it for anyone studying advanced muscular anatomy.

I can’t say enough good things. I am a Physical Therapist. I have been using the muscle and skeletal app since my iPhone4 to explain to my patients what is going on in their body. I literally use these two apps every day and have gotten more complements from patients on their greater understanding of their condition due to these. I have been stressing the last two days without it due to the IOS update. Thank you for getting this out. It is my life line at work!!!

Wonderful. I have muscle pro, skeleton pro, knee and shoulder. They continue to update and recently added several animations for different surgeries. They have changed the transverse, sagital and coronal views in several applications. They still don't allow 3 D movement in any view to rotate etc. Sometimes I need to explain small structures and can't quite get the view I want. I am a Physical Therapist in a primary orthopedic practice. I use these apps multiple times each day to explain pathology or recent surgery. Patients are amazed and frequently comment they now understand. Lots of thanks from them for taking the time to explain better than their physician did. I have been in practice more than 30 years and used multiple aids but this is the best ever, especially on the iPad.

Makes me. Rock Star!. As a personal trainer I can quickly look up, review, and study anatomy. This makes me better able to share knowledge with my clients and keep them educated about the muscles they are working as well as any previous injuries they may have had. I like how fast the controls are. I can quickly get to any major muscle group and find what I need to know. This is a must-have tool for personal trainers!

Great. Great app for clinicians!

App not as functional as I had hoped. I had purchased this app hoping to teach patients anatomy during their treatment sessions. Because it is difficult to navigate to a certain area I find that it is less than helpful. I can never get the app to show the muscles that I want in the views that I want. The navigation tool will only go to certain areas. I wish I could just pull the navigation window down to the area that I want and it would stay there. But no, when I get close, it just automatically moves to a predetermined location. It's still just easier to go get a plain old anatomy book and open to the page I want to show the patient. I'm glad others have found this app to be helpful but for my needs I would only rate it one star. To be fair it doesn't crash. It looks very pretty. But for me it's useless.

The best. Simple and easy to use. Fantastic visuals.

Not useful. Just like the therapist said, this app is not convenient to use for your clients. Yes it has all the muscles but trying to select them is a real pain you have to pin things to get to the muscle description. Anytime you do anything your viewpoint is covered by A sliding box. Some of the other apps at this company makes really convenient useful and easy this is the primary complaint that most people have I would highly recommend their other one which is muscle 2.

Not. I have used the Essential Anatomy app on my iPad for about a year and absolutely love the interface and ease of use. This app is not the same by any means. There is no freedom of movement, you cannot select muscle groups and you can't select individual muscles unless going through the pin menu. Also the quality of the image isn't as good. I understand it's not going to be as complete as the anatomy app but come on. I wanted this app to show my clients quickly what we are focusing on and it takes me longer to pull up the structures than to explain it. I'm asking for a refund and just getting Essential Anatomy 5 and adding on the muscles package. I really wish the interface was consistent throughout all of the apps. I would buy them all if that where the case.

Best so far.... So easy to use. Helpful teaching tool, visual aid, etc. And it appeals to so many senses.

So far so good. I'm currently taking A&P and am finding this useful, though not perfect. If I could zoom in and touch the body parts and the app says what that part is it would be an easier study tool.

Student. I did not like it the display is not HD and it loads slow hard to pinpoint muscles

Fantastic voyage. As a spinal injury patient, I bought this app a long time ago to help my rehab by learning muscles. This upgrade is the most astounding advance I have ever seen in any app. The amount of detail, combined with ease of navigation is stunning. Watch the helpful intro before you use it the first time and then just explore. After several excursions, watch the intro again; it will really stay with you. The is like peering into your own body. As you remove layers of muscle, you may find you self mesmerized by the crisscrossing muscles in the shoulder blade or admiring the scores of connections to the backbone. Smooth spins allow gorgeous 3-D views unavailable in any textbook. I've had an hour slip away with out noticing. The detail is so good I installed it on my iPad 2 and only the captions suffer pixillation. How long can I resist the iPad version at $40 (I believe).

Not working. The 3D media screen is not working!!

Greatest. Fantastic

Not user friendly. Not a fan of this app, bought it to help with studying but it's not user friendly, the functions aren't useful and it's a bit confusing. Wouldn't recommend.

will not install. downloaded but only says installing on actual ipad (newest ipad) with ios 8. deleted from computer and downloaded and installed again. same result. restarted ipad, no luck. glad you have my 4 dollar donation...

Worth every penny and more. Invaluable in daily use in multiple device for daily clinical use and teaching physical therapy.

The best out there. I've tried similar apps, but this blows them out of the water. Perfect for massage therapists.

River raft guide. I really appreciate the app. It's amazing to have help understanding your body at your fingertips. The app showing range of motion of muscles is particularly unique quality one cannot get from a book. I look forward to checking out other products.

Excellent although some errors. I love this app - extremely easy to use, clear labelling, beautiful graphics, and excellent access via the scapel tool to the muscles you want to look at (granted, you don't control what muscle(s) get taken away, but that's a minor thing). I didn't give it a five, just because there are some database issues that need to be worked out, which I'm listing below: - The Flexor Pollicis Longus muscle in the forearm is correctly labelled until you get to the L4 view (Anterior), where it is then incorrectly identified as the Peroneus Longus (a leg muscle) - The Obterator Externus (right) muscle is incorrectly labelled Obterator Internus (right) from the Posterior Pelvis: L7 view. In the same view the Obterator Externus (left) muscle is correctly labelled. - The Origin/Insertion description for the Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis in the Anterior Forearm view has the incorrect Innervation of the Plantar Nerve (should be the Ulnar nerve for the hand) That's all I've found so far. Update: the sacrotuberous ligament was added recently I believe, which is cool, but it's rendered like a muscle, which is misleading ;o) the other errors I listed previously have been fixed as far as I can tell, so yay! :oD Great app!

Amazing. I am a nursing student and Was going to school for pt It's also good for people who want to work out and Know what muscles they are working. It gives you a 3-D representation of the muscles. It also illustrates the insertion points , origin points and the actions and nerves Innervation and artery supply to each muscle.

STUNNING - 5 STARS. This application will change the way you think about the human body and ensure best working practices in the field of medicine and health care. I'm in the medical profession and having used this over the last month, I can honestly say it’s the best intuitive app in my Iphone. I use this to teach med students as well as educate my patients on the inner workings of the muscle system....they love it and so do I. This app also makes a great training aid for those involved in sport and weight training, if fact I have recommended it to many of my private clients who compete within the sporting world. A stunning application that should be on everyone’s device. Highly recommended……….Dr. Bill

Outstanding app. This is so easy to use with great information. When I was in massage school it was my to go app. I didn’t have to use my textbook all the time when I need quick information. I recommend this app to everyone.

This is amazing!. It took some truly brilliant and dedicated minds to develop such an application. Thank you!

Great Little Muscle Guide.... This is a good app for massage practitioners or bodyworkers in need of muscle reference, BUT it is limited by the size of the iPhone screen. Viewing muscles is not always easy, nor completely accurate. my earlier complaints had to do with the lack of real 3D, but the update has addressed that issue and now it is very easy to flip, swivel and zoom the body any which way to get to the muscle you want. It's still a bit small on the iPhone, but I can imagine on the iPad it's awesome. It's still not a replacement for larger formats and classic textbooks/guides, but it's a great little carry around for the practitioner/student who wants a quick reference to most of the main muscle system. as always, it's the support of the app that makes it stand above the rest (you listening Myofinder?), and Nova support is great.

Muscle System Pro is excellent. The Muscle System Pro is great. I have been doing massage for many years and have always wanted a way to easily identify muscles and show them to my clients. The ability to zoom in and out, rotate the body in 3D, and find the name of specific muscles is fantastic. This is a solid application. I wish all version 1.0 applications worked this well. In future upgrades, I would like to have an option for Muscle System Pro to speak the name of the identified muscle. This would help users learn the correct pronunciation of the many muscles in the body. If you have ever needed, or wanted, to learn about the human muscle system, this is a must have app.

Great App. Overall, this is a great app! One feature I would love to see implemented is the ability to strip the skeleton and add specific muscles. As a teaching tool, it would be nice to be able to look at specific groups of muscles by themselves.

Solid. Solid tool for the price. Would have liked an easier way to look at different layers but overall very helpful

Terrible. As quickly as I downloaded it, I removed it that much quicker. This app was a waste of money and space on my phone. I thought you would be able to tap on a muscle and it would give you the name of that muscle. No. You have to search for each "section" such as neck, head, etc through a list. In addition the resolution is terrible. This is not what I wanted and I want my money back.

Great!!. A good price and an excellent app. Love it!! Five stars!! God bless you!! :D

Would be great if it worked properly. This would be great if it worked properly. 1. For some reason the model starts spinning (and far too quickly for any use) and I'm trying madly to get it to stop. 2. The function where the body is supposed to open up so you can get an interior view from a superior or inferior angle is BEYOND irritating. I absolutely cannot get it to work. By the time I've accidentally made the proper combination of strokes and taps, I've already hit the one to close it back up. Very very irritating. 3. My home logo in the upper left corner disappears, never to be seen until I close out the app and start over. 4. The Help option is no help, but that's no surprise. Apparently no one in the computer industry understands that concept.

Very unintuitive. Other apps allow you to tap a muscle and select it and give you the info, and you can still manipulate it. This one has pins, and the pins go away as soon as you try to rotate the model at al which is VERY Annoying!!!!

Amazing Study Tool for Uni. I always use this to prepare myself for my anatomy exams.

Crashes. Please fix

Love it. This is a great app and a great learning tool, highly recommend it !

Awesome App BUT.... I love this app, it's awesome BUT I can not get it to update!!!!! Please can u sort this as I can't use it until it does! : (

Useful, but intensely annoying. You can't really manipulate the figure properly and every time you zoom in on a bodypart, it has to load up, which causes a delay, which is incredibly annoying. The object cannot be fully manipulated when you do zoom in and you can't select muscles by touch -- once again, incredibly annoying. You can only zoom in on the zones that the app allows you to zoom in on. There are only certain angles which you can view the pins and the information. If you're zoome in and you press to show pins, it zooms you straight back out again to one of the pre-set angles. Stupid. The saving grace is the search function and indexes. It provides good information for each muscle and the animations are very useful. I notice that the creators have created an new app now for more than double the price. Having tried it on a friend's device, I would use that one instead.

Excellent. I really love the convenience of this app, on my phone, fantastic!

A pretty handy app. This app has heaps of good information. Especially when you're a remedial therapist. The maneuverability of the diagrams need a bit of tweaking. But the videos offer another dimension of to studying the anatomy. And it's cheaper than the ridiculously priced medical anatomy apps.

AAAA+++++++ WDBA. Awesome app, very clear and accessible, excellent detail. Helpful at university/college level. Keen for updates to include ligaments and a way to control the automatic rotation speed.

Another wonderfully edition to the series.. This application was everything I had hoped for and more, an essential tool for any anatomy student.

Good Visual Reference.. Makes me wish the screen on my i-phone was bigger. - Andrew.

RMT. Love this app! Great pocket reference, learning aid and great to explain muscles to client. Amazing app.

Who needs a text book?. My anatomy unit consists of all the muscles and its nerve supply and its major blood supply. This is what i use to study for the unit. I purchased both nova apps (skeletal and muscular) for both iPad and iPhone. When I study I use the iPad, for quick reference i use the iPhone. The layered approach is extremely useful, coupled with the multiple views and manual rotation, its aid is immeasurable. It would be perfect if the nerves could be integrated into the muscular app and even more so, the muscles and nerves added to the skeletal app, and eventually the whole nervous system along with the digestive, lymphatic and reproductive systems. All of which can be purchased as in app purchases on the initial skeletal app. This has replaced my text book almost entirely, leaving the anatomical positioning of the nerves and vessels. Keep up the good work and hopefully this becomes a complete human body application

The App Media doesn’t work. This App has been fantastic for a long time. But now suddenly the media section where it shows the movement of the muscles no longer work. Disappointed...

Useful but annoying. I have used the title of another review as I completely agree. This app is useful; the muscle diagrams are clear enough. However, you can’t move the diagrams all that much. For anyone who has used Essential Anatomy or Complete Anatomy the range of movement that is possible is subpar. Spend the extra money on Essential Anatomy 5; much more bang for your buck. I deleted this app shortly after purchasing it and bought essential anatomy instead.

Great for massage study. This application has been a godsend in learning all of the muscles. The ability to zoom and also see the multi-layers is particularly useful in relation to deep-tissue/remedial/sports massage. The quiz has been good for consolidating the study. Whilst this is the most expensive app I've ever bought, it was worth every dollar.

Fantastic. An absolute life saver in my anatomy studies when I’m struggling to find something that the text books just don’t depict well enough

PT Tool. The app is a great tool as a PT working with clients doing rehab. I love it.

Great App - when it chooses to load. this is a wonderful app, great for studying anatomy - would be good to see some animations of movement to see muscles in action and a smoother ability to rotate the morph would be better. Only negative is the fact the app doesn't always load up!! for the money i would have expected more funtionality - all in all not bad.

Soo good. Best thing for anyone studying Physio/medicine or any other kind of anatomy, even better on laptop as it's easier to maneuver, well worth the money

Nice. But needs better transitions between sections

Best in class. Easily the best myophysiology/anatomy app there is. By a long way! Inclusion of the ligaments would make the perfect. But that's whaty hard copy of Gray's Anatomy is for.

Awesome. Awesome app

Great reference. Outstanding

Version 2.2. The new version of this is so bad that the quiz cannot be read let alone answered. There are six multiple answers and none of them can be readily read. I like the old version much better.

Love it. Great app. I also downloaded the Mac version as well.

Great App. Great app. I use it daily at work as a reference tool when reading client medical reports etc. works very well on iPhone.

Awesome App. This app has so many features and diagrams that are awesome. Could it have more? Yes. And more videos also. But the app it self has a great look and feel. Only thing I would say is that you should be able to choose which muscles you can take away and add individually. Other than that awesome.

Mr. In short.. This is a brilliant app, I'm a med student, having this reference tool saves carrying around tortora and grabowski's principles of anatomy and physiology. I also believe that these apps offer a better explanation of the regions, the exploded view is really cool. Great work

Does not have ligaments.... Great idea, good quick reference on the go, but not anywhere near sufficient for learning. Should have propper ligament views for all the main joints. Pretty, but not for beginers, only good as a reference to major muscles.

Kelly. Best Anatomy app I've found! Easy to use and amazing graphics. Well worth the spend.

quiz mode. Great detail, but sometimes it is hard to touch correct flag. I wish it had more quiz modes and a way to include/exclude muscles. Very pricey.

Awesome!. This is a fabulous learning tool! I love being able to remove layers of muscles to see muscles below. :)

Crash!. I've had to reinstall this app three times now. It freezes and that's it. I then have to delete and reinstall again. Excellent detail and I love the quiz feature. Hate the freeze and crash. Please fix it.

Crashes. From the preview the updates look amazing. I really enjoyed the other version. BUT every time I open the updated version it crashes and puts me back to my home screen. I have not been able to study once with this updated app. Please fix it.

Awesome. Exactly what I need to help demonstrate anatomy to physio patients. Love it!!

Okay, you did a great job.. I'm a student of a 2 year massage program. This program rocks! It is a significant improvement and is well worth the price and the time it takes to work through the finesse of manipulation the program. Views are great, testing is torture but everything is way beyond any other single app out there. I think I can speak for all the geeks of my school. We all have it and ipad of iphone it is the coolest. thank you.

Good app if you're in fitness or chiropractic. As an exercise scientist and going into chiropractic college, I have found that this app is a suitable replacement for the muscular charts of old that I have hanging on the wall. The glory of this app comes from the cutting away of the muscles to reveal deeper, more intrinsic muscle groups and all of their insertions. For instance, you'll get a description of the short biceps head, used for external rotation which translates into supinated biceps curls when you workout. The longer head and brachioradialis would be better trained with hammer curls. You also see the nerve supply and origins, i.e. where the muscle inserts. Like "AllTraps" says, it's a bit pricey for what it offers. I also rated it a 4:5 because it's not so easy to rotate once you're zoomed in. Thirdly, you get sagittal and transverse planes but you don't get to see from above or below. I wanted a true 3D experience. For twenty bucks it was still a justified purchased. You'll be able to review all the pernickety details and engage in quizzes. Good but not great. With a few tweaks the price tag will justify the program.

Helpful. Is this application worth $20? It is hard to say. If I was a professional in the health care system or a personal trainer I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this app. It is a great visual aid to show to your clients to give them a better idea of muscles you are referring to. On the other hand students might find the $20 is too steep of a price to pay. An anatomy textbook is still far more detailed and more helpful. And you probably already own one. You may wish you spent your money going out with friends instead.

Muscle System Pro rocks!. Very comprehensive, this app permits animation-assisted zooming into detailed muscle images; likewise there is a very useful capability to remove (sometimes several) layers of muscle to see underlying structure. Most useful for our fitness & training clients to quickly view the target muscle (group) just before or during an exercise. Too bad we can't view "i" (info) in larger format (or have option to) as most of our clients are retirees / boomers.

Space 🐷. Pros: detail info for every muscle including O/I, nervation, action (with video); clear graphics; able to add your own notes Cons: can be slow to load; takes a huge amount of space on the iPhone, only updated every couple years - I feel with more development/updates it could be more efficient.

nope.... This app isn't really that great at all. The graphics aren't retina, and the quiz feature is terrible. The pin is very hard to see, and often times you can't even see which muscle exactly it is in. I wouldn't waste your money on it...

Love it!. Great app for locating muscles in the body; it also provides the origin, insertion and action. Fantastic!

App review. Very good presentation fairly easy to use. However the app hangs once in a while and some information and certain muscles are messing. Overall quite good but I'm not sure it's worth the 19.99 There are similar apps for less cost.

Though it was awesome. So this app would be fantastic if only I could use it. It keeps crashing on me

Amazing!. Amazing application. Is it possible for you guys to update the app, and make it easier to access the pins on muscles?

Do not buy if you have an updated iOS!. I was happy with essential anatomy but this app is junk and shouldn't be sold if it's not compatible with newer iOS. Waste of money and makes me weary of making future purchases

good. good for most identifications! it would get five stars if there was more detail in the ability to cut down only specific muscles piece by piece

Brome Lake Fitness. This app is a must for all who work in the fitness industry. Ease of use is fantastic and extremely helpful in educating clients on muscular anatomy and function !

Great anatomy app!. I always have to freshen up on my anatomy. Having this makes it convenient and fun to do so. I should mention that I also purchased the ipad version and have the skeletal system as well!! Solid APP!

University Student. 3d4medical Muscle Systems Pro was a essential asset to the completion of all my anatomy courses. A definite must have!

Great App for health professionals. Great App! I'm a PT and work with Physio in a clinic and also in gyms and really helpful for my own research or to show to patient!

GREAT app!. I'm a physical therapy student and this app had helped me out A LOT! It's very detailed, accurate, and easy to use. I CAN'T WAIT until they release Essential Anatomy, Spine, and a Brain one for the iPhone!

Useful and beautiful app. This is a very useful and beautiful app. As a personal trainer, I can use this wonderful resource as a reference and learning tool both for working with my clients and for increasing / refreshing my own knowledge.

Great app for Nursing Students!. I have found this app so useful for learning the muscles for my midterm practical exam. I started with the free head and neck skeletal and muscle apps. It's great to have a quick review while you're sitting waiting for an appointment or for your professor to arrive to class. I have recommended it to other students!

New update.... The new update does have more things and moves faster, BUT it seems to me that the crisp, clear graphics are not as clear as they once were. Everything seems to be a little fuzzy around the edges... Sorry, just my opinion!

Chiro school help. As a chiropractic student taking gross anatomy I like this app a lot and it was something I could use in place of the several-hundred-dollar software the school wanted us to purchase. I will recommend this to my fellow classmates!

Excellent detail and ease of use ... The detail of the images are superb, and the app us extremely easy to use. There are numerous people who would both enjoy and benefit from it, particularly anyone in the medical field, massage therapists, athletic instructors and even clumsy, aging athletes like myself who are constantly injuring themselves and want to know what muscle they pulled!! Highly recommend.

The anatomy app I've been needing. As a Biomechanist, I've ben searching for an app that is simple enough to illustrate broad concepts to clients, but complex enough to help train interns; both Muscle System Pro II and Skeletal System Pro II fill this need beyond my expectations. Even my pre-teen children are using it to learn both systems. Fantastic app!

Good but needs work. This is a great program but could be improved. The ability to isolate single muscles, be able to pinch to expand or zoom in with two fingers. A hold button to leave flags on or off instead of having to select the flag every time you make a change a view. The ability to move body in increments instead of only being able to see certain areas of body because some muscles stretch from one area to another.. sartorius for example. For 20 dollars Its a bit on the high side. I expect better use of the iPhone and iPads touch panel. It is a useful app for some one studying anatomy it just needs a lot of tweaking. Jeff

Good App. I am studying to be personal trainer and having this information at my fingertips is amazing. My only criticism is that the developer has not tapped into the strength of the iPhone for program navigation. I would love to see pinch/zoom, dragging to navigate the body (other than when completely zoomed in), double tap to remove muscle layers, etc. This would make navigation simpler and more inline with what an iPhone owner would expect. 5 stars when that gets implemented.

Can't run app on my IPhone4. I purchased this software and was excited to carry the software over to my IPhone 4 from my 4th generation IPod touch. Can't install it on the phone. My IPhone is running the latest ver software 2.8 from Verizon. Until Verizon IPhone can run ver 3.0 this software can not be installed on the phone. Disappointed as I have it on my IPod but not the phone.

Verizon phone users be wary. I have a Verizon iphone 4 with the latest version (4.2.8). I paid for and downloaded the app through the iTunes store but I can't use it because I don't have the most current iphone 4.3 version (per the developer). App seems to be only for people with the AT&T phones. Looks like a great program but since I can't use it, I can't really say for sure. I would probably give it 5 stars if I could use it. I don't know if there is a way to get a refund. Be wary if you have a Verizon iphone. Will change rating once I can use it.

The Muscle System Pro. I purchased Netter's Musculoskeletal flash cards Application a couple of years ago and I've been quite content with it. Several weeks ago, a friend showed me this App and I was blown away! I was so impressed with the 3D images of muscles, the 360 degree viewing capability and the ability to dissect muscles layers - all which the Netter app lacks - that I had to purchase it. It would be great to see ligaments and joint capusles, however, after dissecting deepest muscle layers. A great app!

Actions Videos are Fantastic!. The multi-view Actions Videos showing ALL the muscles involved in that action are Fantastic! The ability to CHOOSE which pins are shown is also very helpful as ALL of them showing all the time can be overwhelming and unnecessary for me.

Great app!. This is a very useful app for studying. It sure beats looking at a book for hours to learn the same stuff. The price is a little high but it is still worth it.

Amazingly Helpful. I'm a massage therapy student. This app has made it possible for me to quickly refer to all the details of whatever muscle or muscle group I'm working and it's relationship to the body without having to rummage thru various text books and flash cards trying to place it. Awesome 3D graphics and quiz feature for students. Thank you for cutting my study time in half.

App for Personal Trainer. I am a personal trainer and I use this application to explain and show my customers muscles that are involved in their exercises etc. I can highly recommend it, its a great tool. The navigation could be a little better but once you get used to it no problem.

Terrific app! v2.2. For the price nothing else comes close to this as far as anatomical accuracy, detail and ease of use. This app actually makes me want to purchase an ipad. Could the ipad version be even better? Just would like to point out that several reviewers complain about OS incompatibility. In the download description there is a very clear statement regarding what OS is necessary in order to run this app.

Great Study App. As a new student needing to memorize and learn the plethera of information, I've used a number of study aids - this app has made my learning much easier and the quiz feature has been a big plus. I've bought the muscle and nervous system apps as well. No regrets!

Awesome!. As a massage therapist, this app serves in so many ways! I can zoom in on areas of concern for my clients, check insertion points, and easily contribute to their knowledge and mine. The scalpel function is super helpful, as the layers of muscle are sometimes hard to visualize. It's easy to use, and so clear! I love rotating with a flick of my finger, as well as being able to navigate around the body in seconds. This app is sooo much faster and easier than a book! Everyone is really impressed, and grateful to learn in such a painless fashion.

Very detailed. Overall this is a very good anatomy app with lots of details. Would be a five star app if interface was improved to allow you to just touch the structure and see the info on it instead of always having to hit the pins button every time you slightly rotate the model.

Crashing?. This isn't a review of the app as such, although I am a huge fan, but rather a comment on the crashing problem below. I had a similar issue with version 1.60 and used the link above to send the company an email. Amazingly they got back to me that same day and solved the issue. I am taking the time to pen this comment because customer support like this is not the norm and should be commended when company's make it a priority. P.S. the new version is incredible!

Everything I expected and more!. It was extremely helpful! Helped me pass a difficult and competitive anatomy practical! It individualizes every muscles and isolates the OIA's for each. Note: Perfect for CU boulder anatomy lab students**

Muscles. I am a PTA student and this App is very nice to have on hand. I love being able to go over the muscles without having to lug around all of my text books. The 3D pictures are nice, as well as being able to dissect the muscles. The origins, insertions, and nerve interventions are very handy. I still wish I could interact with the model more. It would be great if you could control muscle actions and see the model move. Over all this is a great App, just wish it was a little more entertaining.

Super useful. I downloaded this app as a study tool for gross anatomy. It is great. The ability to see what the muscles do via animations is useful. I like the graphics and the functionality. The only thing I don't like is that you can't maintain the ID pins when you rotate the view (like when seeing where the origin is if it isn't present in the current view.

Great Study Tool. I first used this app when my professor for Structural Kinesiology required his students to get it as an added study tool. I ended up using the app more than my book. That class is over and I still use Muscle System Pro III all the time. I'm aspiring to be a PT, so this has been very helpful in furthering my knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology. Probably my favorite features are the media videos that demonstrate muscle action for each specific muscle; those make visualizing what's happening with each muscle much easier.

Only app I've ever actually paid for. ....DEF worth the $3.99...I have a 4S iPhone so was bummed I couldn't get the $20 one another student had with more features for the iPad, but this one works just fine and really helped me with my artistic anatomy endeavors!

Muscle System Pro is AMAZING!!!. A few PTA students have recommended this app to me and I am so happy they did! I've been looking far and wide, both in apps and online and this is by far the most comprehensive, yet user-friendly, resource for learning muscles - including origins, insertions, actions, and innervations. I no longer fear my upcoming practical!

Ok, but typos abundant and Quiz is worthless. The general concept of muscle anatomy is available. Good detail of insertion points and functions. That being said, there are many typos throughout the site showing a lack of upkeep. Also, the quiz is virtually unusable. You have toggle the screen from the answers to the diagram and there is no way to zoom in. This is ridiculous when you are trying to identify flexor a or extensors. You actually cannot toggle the view at all in quiz mode which makes the quizzes very hard to impossible. Also, often the answers with drag and drop will get moved when you try to move back to the answers which is frustrating when you are fighting a clock.

Its just okay, not great like the skeletal app. The app navigation is very counterintuitive. I cannot stand that it has you zoom by double tapping instead of spreading fingers like in everything else on the iphone. Also every time you change to a new muscle it says "...loading..." Totally unacceptable for a 4$ app. Please fix these things and make it more like your skeletal anatomy app.

Great graphics and detail!. Great graphics, good level of detail, and nice zoom and information features. This is a great tool if you need to be learn the muscles of the body. Should be great for fitness trainers and as an aid in injury identification and treatment options.

LOVE IT. It was kind of complicated at first to figure out but after you get the hang of it and see everything it can do you'll fall in love! It has media showing details of the muscles and moving clips of how the muscles move the body. It also tells the innervation and artery supply of the muscles which I've found on almost no apps for muscles. Completely worth the cost. I'd even pay more. This app is better than my text book.

Just keeps getting better!. Already an amazing app, this update makes navigation so much smoother. There is so much here - whatever your anatomy knowledge level - that this is a bargain price!

Essential App!!. This app and the others in the NOVA series are lifesavers for any health sciences student. Intuitive interface, beautiful renderings, and detailed info on every muscle. 3D4 NOVA apps are my go-to reference source for my Anatomy studies!

Truly One of The Best Out There. This app is spectacular. For an individual interested in anatomy, it is an outstanding app. It may seem a little pricey, but if you enjoy learning the about inner workings of the human body, this appp is made for you.

Great Program. Great resource for learning anatomy. I wish I could have had this program back when I was in school. Very impressed! It was disappointing to see that someone gave this program 2 stars given how useful it is.

Fantastic app. This app is amazing! It is helping me immensely and is so thorough. If you go to their website and give them feedback they will actually take the time to email you back personally. If you're a student you won't regret it.

This app has muscle. I've recommended this app to my anatomy students. I'd say it is one of my top 5 favorite apps! I plan to use these apps in class. Thanks and keep them coming!

Excellent for Patients to See. I use this app all the time with my patients to show them which muscles are involved in their pain or injury. Not only are they impressed with the cool technology but also they feel they understand what has happened and what can be done about it. Highly recommended for all GPs and Family Doctors who see simple musculoskeletal injuries.

Great app!. I bought this app to study for my Anatomy and Physiology class. I like it so much I just browse through it and look at all the muscles just for fun. Very educational and very easy to use, I love being able to search for a specific muscle as well.

Best app I've purchased. The information in this app is worth it's price 100 times. The app took a little to get used to, but it's simple enough to figure out. The interface is awesome. I love the "media" section where it actually shows video of the muscle actions. Incredible. Buy it, you won't regret it.

A must for med students!. Having this app in my white coat has been a tremendous help. It's a quick reference with a beautiful and intuitive interface. The ability to zoom in and out and dissect out layers of muscles is more natural to learning than trying to flip through pages of an anatomy text like Netter's.

Huge Help!. I am a Physical Therapist Assistant student and this has been an incredible source for help. I love that I can email myself any views that I need to use for study purposes. I also have the skeletal system app and will be getting the nervous system app. All have been better help than the costly Netter Anatomy book. I want an iPad just because of these apps :)

Almost there.... I gave this app 3 stars because of a few reasons, which are listed below: 1. The program has crashed a few times since downloading. 2. Although the app has many muscles, I found a few missing that were on my practical exams. There are also no muscles of the plantar surface of the foot, which is disappointing. 3. For 10 dollars I expected a bit more out of this app in terms of muscles and interface experience. I do think the "Quiz" is beneficial as a study tool.

Awesome but.... Its a good app if you are learning orexplaining anatomy and need a visual aid. I wish this version had coss-sectional and transverse views but it does not- maybe in the future ( hence 4 starts) also the timer on the quizes is very fast and I can't find any time adjustment seting. Either way great app for basic use and customer service very quick to reply.

Excellent App. This is an excellent app. The recent updates are really great!!! This app is a great resource to study for school, it helped me a lot to study for A&P class. This app is way better than a book will ever be and I'm looking forward to the next updates. There is no other app that can compare.

Brilliant. This is one of the best anatomy apps I've foud so far. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the medical field or just interested in learning more about your body. I have a spinal cord injury and work in rehab medicine and have found it very useful.

crashing. I purchased this about a year ago and used it constantly during school. Since graduation I have used it in my practice as a reference guide and to show my patients specific things. Since the upgrade, I am unable to use it due to crashing. I have a 3GS and just read the small print that it will not work on this device. Now that is upsetting. I would like to request a full refund since I am not planning on upgrading my phone anytime soon.

This is a great App. I love this app. It is great. I liked it so well that I bought the bone and cardiac apps as well. I wish I had pulled the trigger on this purchase a little earlier. I paid $20 two days after the price went up from $15. Oh well it has still been well worth the money!

A Great and Handy Reference for both Medical and Art Students. I use both this and the skeletal system app all the time in the studio as references when drawing from the live model. Also, the 'quiz' feature is a great way to test your knowledge and see how much you *really* know. These guys make great apps!

Amazing app. As a physician, I wish I had this app when I was going through med school. It is absolutely amazing! My girlfriend is now using it to study for the anatomy portion of her personal trainer classes. It is wonderfully intuitive to use. The included quizzes are a bonus. I can't wait to check out Skeletal System Pro II or the flash versions on the producer's website.

Beyond helpful. This helps me to learn visually where muscles are placed relative to each other, as well as viewing attachment sites. I love that you can pull away layers to see from superficial to deep. My only complaint is that the notes of attachments and actions are worded differently than what I have been taught, which makes it difficult to use for memorization learning.
