Don’t bother if you have Automated Benefits Services. If you have the ABS version of BCBS, don’t bother with this app. You won’t be able to find any providers who are actually in network. You won’t be able to see all of your claims, provided you can see any at all. And your deductible and out of pocket will always show zero paid, even after you’ve made several payments for that benefit year. You well have to call for everything, and you’ll wait on hold for over an hour for something you should be able to see for yourself in under five seconds if the app worked for ABS subscribers. I’m frustrated enough with this that I am going to talk to HR about what options I might have that could be useful to me. And what I need from pans and services I pay for with my earnings.

Lacks Basic Functionality. The app provides a fair amount of information, but the lack of a landscape mode makes it very difficult to use on an iPad or other tablet. In addition, there is no way to contact support other than a phone call. The whole reason people use these apps is to AVOID those annoying phone trees and customer support people who just read from a script. There is no way to email support, and the chat bot just refers you to the support phone number. This needs landscape mode and real tech support!

Phone Service. When I call for help, I get prompts that I don’t want to hear. Then it asked me if I want to hear it again. Why would I when that’s not the reason I called. Let’s just get down to business and not ask give me “commercials” for your services. Then it plays a “commercial” for behavioral services and asks me if I want to be transferred. Then it transfers me anyway when I say no. Now because the phone props are driving me crazy, I may need the services. Is that why you put it in there? So now they transfer me back into the system and I have to go through the whole process again. I want to order two ID cards for the next year but I don’t get a person. It orders it through the automated system and then wants to end the call. Now I have to go through more stuff to try to figure out how I’m going to talk to a person to make sure next year‘s cards are ordered and not this year‘s cards. Hire actual people as operators so they can answer the phone and transfer me to where I want to go. What would be a two minute phone call with a human being took me 15 minutes with your automated system. What a waste of life!

STILL no Apple Wallet integration! Unacceptable!. Why is there still no Apple Wallet integration to load our insurance card directly into Apple Wallet??? Other states apps have this feature and I thought I saw an email saying it was coming with the new January 2022 cards. It is still not available. Please add this critical feature ASAP. It is an absolute embarrassment to not have this feature by now.

Not sure why this gets such low reviews. I downloaded this to make it easier to check my EOBs and just get a General overview of my account. It easily displays all my information. It sure why it’s got such low raising from people. Used my same log in as the website. No issues so far.

WASTE OF TIME GO TO AN IN PERSON CLINIC. If you plan on using this app, get ready for your appointments to get canceled whenever they feel they want to. I scheduled an appointment for the 28th of august and it got canceled a few hours before it even started. Then I scheduled for the next day, waited for them to join the meeting and got canceled on 3 minutes after the meeting should have started. This honestly has shown me how much of a waste of time this app is. I suggest you just go in person.

Awesome App. This is the best app for viewing insurance coverage, where your at meeting your deductible, it’s just an awesome tool to have at your fingertips. Beets calling and talking to a person and wasting all that time on the phone.

Great app. I really like this app with its one stop information availability. And the virtual ID cards were very helpful before I received my hard copy version. Unfortunately since the last update a few days back (11/14), the app crashes upon attempting to open it. I look forward to when it is working again!

Customer Centrix. This change from Express Script has not gone well for myself. January: received Optum notice to long in. Followed instructions 3 hours later no success! I was told there was a problem with two members in their system had same ID (user name), I was locked out after several try’s. Called BCBSM, seems you guys had no answer, referred me to Optum, couldn’t get through the Optum AI phone system! Left message Optum called back 2 weeks later. Today: fOne hour ago tried to log into Optum, still locked out! Called the number listed for help, spoke with Christian, pleasant enough guy. He said he unlocked my Optum account. He sent me an email to go into BCBSM website, 1. Choose “coverage” 2. Choose “prescriptions “. I got into BCBSM website, first off I am asked to pick a plan!?? I already have a plan! Before I represented BCBSM in my agency I was a system analyst these instructions are a nightmare. This must be a nightmare for your agents unless of course I am the only client having these problems!

Hard to use, ages to load, seems broken. Pages will be blank for 30-60 seconds and then load so I’ve already assumed it’s broke and given up and then I get a surprise that it works. Unfortunately what it shows me is never what I’m looking for. Very hard to navigate, very unclear to find what I’m looking for. Biggest complaint: cannot long press on my group id to copy it! So dumb!

Website broken. I received a letter in the mail to fill out a form within 10 days. Went to the website listed on the form but it just brought me to the main page, not to the specific form needed. Then tried to use the app, found the form I needed which redirected me to the main webpage again. Why do they demand these forms need to be filled out but make it so difficult to get to the form. Disappointing.

Unsatisfied and disgusted you guys ain’t no good. Have been nothing but problems since my company switched over . I pay to much money out of my check to have an issue every time I go to use this card . It has been happening since October of 2021. Something needs to be done about this . The service you all provide is very unsatisfied . Then you sit on the phone for about an hour to two hours . You need to be shut down .

Can’t find a Doctor !!!. Way too many Doctors not accepting new patients despite being in network providers. Also too much info not up to date, Retired Doctors still listed as active, etc Having no luck at all finding a Doctor aside from going to Urgent Care or the local ER. Would prefer to have a primary care physician that can provide follow-up care which you cannot get from urgent care or the ER !

Stoneage tech practices. Cannot discriminate between plan years for documents, just as slow as the website, and nine times out of ten you can’t find what you’re looking for. Menus designed for insurance professionals instead of the insured - things aren’t called what you’d call them and, if the heading seems to make sense, what you’re after isn’t under it. BCBS exists in a world of its own…

A bit slow. This app has always been a bit slow, but I will add that I have fewer problems with loading than I have had in the past. Also, I notice certain links within the app will open up a “browser-imterface” to display info from their website. I’ve never understood apps that do this for their own website vs displaying the info within the app itself. At this, point I might as well visit the website directly. Overall an average app.

Good reliable care. I have had very little issue with this healthcare. We have had some major medical needs, including surgeries and pain care. When an issue has come up, it has actually been resolved fairly promptly. We have been with them for over 15 years.

Stopped working. I've had this app since November, and it was working perfectly fine until few days ago. I cant even open the app, it would automatically close. I tried restarting my phone, and deleting the app and trying again but nothing worked. I think the new update did something. I really hope they can fix this.

Contact section is practically useless. The app seems ok as long as you want to see, and agree with what is available. Trouble is, if you have a question, you can’t ask it unless it is a frequently asked question that will receive a canned response. No option to email a question. The chat questions are controlled by a computer with yes or no options. I want to check on a reimbursement that did not show up as received. Absolutely no help received. Maybe they laid off workers because of the COVID-19?

Decent App, but Will Not Let You Paste Usernames or Passwords. I use a password manager to generate and remember strong passwords for all my accounts, and the BCBSM app does not provied an integration with it. That's an annoyance, but most apps don't honestly, so I'm used to going to my password manager and copying and pasting the password as a workaround. But the BCBSM app doesn't even let me do that. The text buttons ("select all", "paste", etc.) do not work; tapping them does nothing. Have you ever tried switching back and forth between two apps to manually type in twenty random characters, some of which are symbols, and all of which gets hidden Remembering your place is not fun. The app is nice enough when I am logged in, but every once in a while it logs me out for some security reason or another, and after that I can't be bothered to use the app since it's so much easier to just go to the website on my iPad or wait until I can use the laptop at work. Fix this, and my review will go to at least 4 stars.

Contribute not working. I’m trying to make a one-time contribution in the app and the submit button is non-functional - it blinks and nothing happens. At least I hope nothing is happening because I tried it multiple times thinking my network connection may be the problem.

Trying to Pay Premium on time. I opened this App on my phone. I can sign in but that’s it! I can’t go to any of the icons and get on the site. I’m just trying to pay my premium! I tried to get the App on my iPad it did the same thing. This App is useless. Now I have to call BCBSM and deal with the automatic system and hopefully get a chance to pay my premium on time. Very Disappointed!

App does NOT work 90% of the time. Wont even open, even though it’s updated. Thought maybe my phone needed a restart..... still doesn’t work. Not the first time and won’t be the last. Just trying to pay my bill without having to pay processing fees over the phone 🙄

All my insurance info at my fingertips. The app is designed very well and very intuitive. I am able to get to all my insurance, health and wellness, HSA, and doctor information in a tap or two. Touch ID and Face ID support is really helpful in logging in quickly. This is one of my most frequently used apps along with my other banking apps, mail apps, and games. Awesome App. Thank you.

Blue Care Network. The app is very user friendly! Being able to print or share my information is also extremely convenient! Thank you for considering all of the variables insurance holders encounter.

Difficult. I have found it very difficult to find a doctor in my network, that is a primary care provider. I’ve tried expanding the search radius,still no luck. When I do find a primary care provider it says that they’re not a primary care provider.I’m not quite sure if they Mean in my network or in general. I finally broke down today and call the one 800 number on the back of my insurance card the customer service rep shawntel was very helpful.

A bit confusing. It’s a little slow going. It’s also a bit frustrating when trying to choose PCP and my subscriber number on ID card doesn’t exactly reflect the subscriber number listed in the app causing it to come across as invalid for providers. It’s created a bit more confusion then necessary. But overall, pretty neat to have access to info.

Useless. As far as I get is it recognizing my face at log in. Can’t get past that so there really is no point to having this app. It would be very helpful if you could fix that so I can actually get in to see my information. This has been going on for weeks and it doesn’t matter where I am or if I’m connected to WIFI or not. I have the I phone 11 which has recently been updated to whatever the newest version is. So not sure what the issue is but please do something.

Inaccurate information. I am not happy with this app because of the inaccurate information that I get here. It clearly states my co pay amounts however when I go to the doctors office or call BCBSM I am given conflicting information. Also, I can not retrieve my benefits details from the app. It says this information is not available. Then why do you have an app if it is useless to me???? Not happy!

Poor app performance and no Apple Wallet integration. The app performance is bad! After clicking login on the app, it takes forever to complete and take me to the main screen. Long enough for my phone to fall asleep and lock if I don't touch it. Often I give up in frustration waiting for the app to load. Also, make the insurance card available to load into Apple Wallet! I should not be subject to a slow loading app, that may never actually finish loading after login, and is dependent on an internet connection/cell signal, just to view my insurance card. It should be instantly available for me to view in my Apple Wallet. Several times, when needing to produce the card at a doctors office, which never seem to have a good cell signal for some reason, I stuck standing there waiting and hoping that the app will actually load so I can get to my insurance card. Many times I've had to give up and attempt getting it through the BCBSM website, which also may not work due to a poor network connection. If it was in my Apple Wallet I wouldn't have to deal with or worry about any of that. Allowing my insurance card to be loaded into my Apple Wallet and and fixing the performance issues would greatly improve my overall satisfaction with the app and my view of BCBSM. Other than that, when I can actually use the app, it does everything I need it to do and I'm generally satisfied with it. It's just those two, in my view huge, issues that need to be fixed.

Case Manager. My husband has a lot of medical issues for many years now, so he was told about getting a case manager, so he did. We must say it’s the best thing we ever did. She keeps in touch with him at least once a week and brainstorms over his history, new Doctor appointments and what happened. She has been a blessing. 💜😊👍

Great app. Works flawlessly for my medical, pharmacy and our of pocket questions. The search works great if I can’t find what I’m looking for. (...all these other poor reviews seem to either be related to the users internet connection or simply their lack of understand of how to navigate properly. I think the setup is great and super easy to use.)

Mindlessly User Unfriendly. This app is useless. You can’t access this or many other BCBS features (sad), because it is so restrictive at login. Login is everything, Developers. If you make it too hard to login, it won’t be used at all. Yeah, I get “ for security”. But it appears you’ve pushed it all the way up to wokeness. Remembering user name and password is a challenge for most people. Guesses are excessively limited on this site. After 2 tries, you’re locked out. And the only way to get back in is to CHANGE your user name and password. Again. And god forbid if you try an old password. At least allow a biometric login, please?

App lacks functionality and easy information access. This application is extremely difficult to navigate, lacks ability to customize search to specific specialty doctors, gives invalid referral results for specific services, and doesn’t offer a feature to return to ‘previous results’ page. It takes you all the way back to the beginning search page and you have to start over each time to review other doctors and information. Very time consuming and not a good list of doctors to choose from. Doesn’t appear to be a complete list of local doctors and specialist options.

Missing Add to Apple Wallet. Setup went smoothly and I was able to get what I needed to get done accomplished quickly, and order replacement cards. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because they do not allow you to add your insurance card to your Apple Wallet, which I was expecting when I pulled up my virtual card and I thought was behind the times.

Apple wallet for Insurance card. It’d be really convenient if the insurance card can be added to Apple Wallet. Currently it only ‘prints’ and I can store it locally but the wallet feature would be far more convenient and elegant. I used a third party app to make the card for wallet for now but would love to see this feature eventually. Thank you.

BC/BS app. This app is completely awesome!! I’m able to see what we have to pay before the hard copy of the EOB comes, very helpful!! I spoke to someone in customer service to help me load the app & thankful for their continued help, support & cooperation, awesome people & so helpful.

Access and use of site. It is easy to get around in and allows you to see what you need without phone calls

Mrs Jacqueline Glover RN. The service Was Excellence & customer service had 1 little problem from one person. I call to ask about mail order pharmacy. When I asked about the mail order he hung up. I’m a cancer patient, I take a lot of drug, My teeth has fallen out, causing me to not be able speak clearly. Thanks for getting back to real customer service.

App doesn’t work. I rely on this app and it doesn’t work more than it does. Very frustrating. I’ve deleted it and reloaded it and still says oops technical error and no one in technology answers the phone. Ugh

Much much more than I expected!. Having the impression that anything medical and insurance related are a big black hole... but I must say I am very very impressed with this app! (I work in digital myself) The app navigations and information are clear and it straight forward, very user centric. Good work team! Keep it up!!! I only hope all the experiences will be native and not directed to external sites.

Glitchy. Most of the time the app works great, but then when you really need to see your card you get that message that says try back later. It gives no reason other than my balances aren’t available right now. I’m trying to view my card, so I’m not sure why that would matter.

Slow to load, no landscape. While I do like the info available in the app, it seems slow to load. I have pretty good internet connection with 400mbs connection. Also the app does not appear correctly in landscape. I review the info in the app while reviewing/paying medical bills on my iPad with a keyboard and the app shows up as a portrait app on a landscape screen. It works, its just small. Will these things stop me from using it? No, they are just inconveniences. Should BCBS have their app developer work on these things in the future? Probably if they want to continue pushing paperless statements.

One of the worst and most useless apps. BCBS of MI has one of the most useless apps I have used on my iPhone. I have downloaded, registered, and done everything to get going with my BCBS account and yet no matter where or when I open the app and try to do something, it takes forever to do anything inside the app. Every time I click on something (eg., to find a doctor) it keeps showing me this round and round waiting icon and it remains like that for a very long time. This happens for every tap or click. It happen everywhere, so I know it’s not my home wireless that’s slow! Quite frankly the app is useless for me because I can’t do anything inside it without spending ten hours on a simple task.

OK but Urgent Care needs to be up front. App seems to work OK (Touch ID works for me), but emergency services need to be up front. Preferably on a map and a link to Apple Maps or (better) Google Maps for navigation. Straight line distances are not accurate. If I injure myself away from home, I need to know what urgent care services are near me - covered and uncovered (identified as such). When I’m bleeding, I don’t want to type in a search nor go through a list to try to figure out which is easier to drive myself to.

They double-charge me EVERY YEAR. I have had BCBS for three years. Every Dec/Jan they double charge my premium with no warning. Last year it was $700, and when I asked for them to send me a refund, they told me it would arrive within a month. It never came, they applied it to my acc when I told them not to. In total they have overcharged me $1000+ in the past 3 years, and the only withdrawal courtesy fees I’ve ever gotten are from BCBS. My bank told me they have a history of doing this to me. I haven’t even gone to the doctor this year. Fix your auto payments, it is predatory that they do this consistently.

Excellent digital support. Thank you for providing BCBS app. It streamlines customer inquiries, account information and claims records on an incredibly user- friendly app. The convenience of having this info available via my phone is very much appreciated.

Website load time and lost information. Never able to connect to app immediately. Takes a long time to connect sometimes requiring canceling out and starting over. Lost log in criteria. Had app setup to face recognition and it disappeared. Had remember me checked and now I have to log in every time. Site does not appear to be stable

Customer. I use to use this app all the time. To keep track of payments and my balance on my accounts. Then one day I wake up and it no longer opens. I have deleted it and reinstalled it 10 times the same thing. At this point I’ll just use Mybeaumont app it works great. With the money my husband spends on the insurance a pay you would think they could at least keep the app going. Before you say it’s my phone. I have the new iPhone max plus. So it’s not my phone it’s the app.

No point of App. Not user friendly. Everytime I want to view my account this app links me to a website where I have to sign in again and verify my account. I can’t see what I have in my account unless I go through 5-10 minutes worth of verification and I have been asked to create a new account multiple times after already signing in.

Easy to use app!. All my insurance info is super easy to find. Includes what’s covered, my costs, I can even look up prescription meds right on the app. So nice not to have to visit the website for answers to plan questions. Highly recommend the app!

Great app!. Great experience and nice functionality.

No longer works. This app worked great until about a week ago when it was updated and now will not login. It just spins. I judged updated the app with the new version hoping it was fixed, but it still won’t login. Same error. I have an Apple iPhone.

Find a doctor. You would think I could find a doctor using the Blue Cross blue shield app however it sends me to another app That doesn’t offer me a sign in to look for a doctor. How my supposed to sign in and it doesn’t let me it’s not using my phone email and password not sure what to do. I’ll have to wait till I get to work and look at it that way

Am I covered or not. The BCBS of Michigan app notes my coverage includes vision. I also have a BCBS insurance card for vision. However, when I search for providers through the site, it re-directs me to MetLife which does not list vision as part of my coverage with them. So it is very confusing to figure out how I am covered and where I can make an appointment that accepts my insurance.

Add apple wallet support. It would be nice for blue cross Michigan to add apple wallet support to their app. Blue cross Tennessee already has it. Not having to carry around an extra card would be nice !

Convenient. Gives me easy access to coverage and claims information. Keep up the good work

Worst experience ever. This has been a nightmare. The have deactivated my plan out of error and I have had to spend hours and hours in the phone to reactivate my plan. Even still, 3 months in, my insurance does not appear to be working, despite my payments. Truly the worst experience with healthcare I’ve ever had.

Needs 2 improvements. Please enable pinch to zoom for those of us whose vision isn’t as good as i5 once was. Also, please let me add my card to apple wallet!

Really difficult to get access to mental health care. This is hard to find professionals on. The mental health care section just tells you to call in. There’s no point in using this. Finding people who do telehealth is not incorporated into the app. It’s all based on physical location which is not how people live anymore.

DKing. This app is convenient and allows me to show my provider the reason some of my claims may not have processed. It also has great discounts to take advantage of.

Horrible Bill Pay. They change the settings to just about everything on this app from month to month making it nearly impossible to just pay your bill in peace. The only reason I still use this is because it’s even more impossible to pay your bill over the phone.

Easy. I like that you can see your information fast and easy.

Website. The website is so easy to navigate. It’s very current and accurate.

Great service!. The agent sent me all I asked for and answered all of my questions. She as also very professional and courteous. There is nothing more I could ask for.

Too slow to be useful. This is the slowest app, and the website is just as slow. Extremely frustrating when you are trying to find information, but it takes 5 minutes to load.

iPhone X Issue. Great app! Since I started using iPhone X with the face biometric, the app won’t work: signin halts at the start when face recognition initiates. The app just hangs and won’t log in

So happy that this app works so well!. I can’t believe all the information at her fingertips. The app is so well laid out graphically and with such fine detail!

Nice. It’s so easy to navigate and pull up insurance on my phone and not worry about losing my ID cards.

Keeps shuttinf down. Every time i try to open the app if shuts down

2024 documents. I received notice in the mail that my online documents are ready. These were to be available October 1. I am unable to locate let alone view these documents.

Apple Wallet Integration Please. I wish this app allows to add insurance card to our digital wallet. I know it is possible other states have this ability. Is this something that is being worked on?

When I can access information, it’s great.. I can’t count how many times I’ve tried to access information and it just sits there loading. Whether I’m on WiFi or not, it takes forever. It’s pointless to have the app if I can’t use it.

United auto worker Blue cross blue shield customer member. I have a $50 co-pay to see urgent care that is my only fee when I go to urgent care I am being charged $195 on March 29 I believe of this year because of a coding error and no one will fix it shame on everyone they know I have a $50 co-pay that is it at urgent care I will tell everyone about this

Lost Card. There is no way to access the app if your lost your card and you don’t have your login info.

Awesome App!. Was able to successfully upgrade and login even after so many months!

Information not accurate!. I’ve been using this app to search for a primary care physician and several doctors profiles claim to be accepting new patients, I call and wait for 10 minutes to talk to someone only for their receptionist to claim they conveniently aren’t taking new patients at this time. This app isn’t helping what so ever, which is so frustrating.

Horrible Site!!! Never up to date information. The find a doctor is never up to date!! I have spent 2 hours now trying to find a doctor and each office I call the doctor is retired, dead, or not seeing patients!!! Wow!! For the price you pay you’d think you could actually find a doctor who take BCBS!! Horrible service!!

Crashes Constantly (iPhone X). Every time I login or sometimes before I can log in this app will just crash back to my home screen. I’ve tried over and over again to get back in to the app but usually as soon as I hit my claims button it will crash for sure. Basically a waste of space on my phone right now. I liked using it before it was crashing all the time.

App Crashing. The app is great when it's working. For some reason the app keeps crashing and will not open

App is so slow. I can’t believe a huge company like this can’t get their app to work. Haven’t been able to log in for the past 3 days. When I was able to log in before, it feels like their server is being powered by a hamster running on a wheel and that hampster takes a nap for 23.9 hours a day. Get your crap together and fix your app.

Clear navigation. I appreciate how user friendly BCBSM website is to navigate. Clear and concise information.

Benefit information. I can never pull up my benefit information on the app. I get a message stating “we’ve encountered an error.” I also am unable to identify my remaining cost share.

Notice of change letter. I can’t find the annual notice of change letter on the mobile app.

Fix app. Fix your app so you can log in it has been broken for days FIX IT

Won’t open. The mobile app sometimes won’t open.

Outdated information and very clunky app. I’ve spent over 8 hours trying to find a primary physician altogether. Well over half of the contact information is either outdated or incorrect. The filter options do not filter properly so each search is far too wide to only have incorrect information when you get there.

Qualified Health Coverage Document. Thank you for making the qualified health care coverage document so easy to access!! Wish my auto insurance company was this easy to work with. Love BCBS!!!

Helpful. App is very helpful when it works. You always have access to your membership card with it. Great way to keep track of what is going on. Just has a lot of roles or won’t work.

The Best. Great app, easy to use, lots of pertinent information. BCBS of Michigan has the best people to work with. You have a problem they will help you solve it.

Search function doesn’t let you scroll results. Just downloaded the app on my iPhone 7 and was searching for a new doctor, however I am unable to scroll down to see all the results. App is a wonderful idea but not helpful at this point to find a doctor.

Agree. I completely agree with review of Aguazales. The touch I'd doesn't work and the password cannot be posted in. I also use strong passwords and find the sign in incredibly frustrating!

Terrible registration. Unbelievable that the app doesn’t allow birth date input except by scrolling through using arrows new month at a time. What a waste of time for the users. I haven’t used it for much else but if they put the same amount of thought into the rest of the app, this will be the worst waste of time app ever.

Complete Failure. Very misleading. I submit claims with supporting documents through the app for convenience, then I wait and each time I will receive “snail mail” about two weeks later asking for more information that I must physically submit through the mail. What a complete waste of time and energy. Extremely disappointed with this app.

50/50. When the app actually works, it’s great! I would say at least 50% of the time though, the app is experiencing some sort of technical issue, in which I can’t access it. It’s very frustrating.

Reliable. Can access all of my insurance info and costs at the touch of a button.

Not great. Very slow, difficult to retrieve information. I can view my explanations of benefits, but for anything else, I either get a blank page (health and wellness), an endless spinny-thing (discounts) or “this information cannot be retrieved” (my benefits). It seems like, for the price of insurance, they could have an app that works correctly!

Easy to use but slow to load. When the app works, it works great. But it takes awhile to load and will stall at times

Awful!. If I could give this app zero stars I would. Since the moment I downloaded it, it has worked ONCE! Other than that the app is down or I click and it literally closes it immediately. It’s not helpful and extremely inconvenient. Disappointing when you pay so much for the service individually or as a company.

Not loading😡. I had the iPhone 7plus when I first downloaded this app and it was working perfectly. Now that I have upgraded my iPhone to the Xr it will not load the app. It took about 5 tries to recognize my face, but once it finally did the app wouldn’t load. I’ve done a force close and uninstalled it 3 times but it still won’t load. Please fix this bug fast!
