one way only. This is en -> norwegian only! However, it is not possible to search for norwegian words at all. I feel this should be possible.

Not both ways!. It can’t give the english for a norwegian word. Even when i guessed the english to see if i was right about what a norwegian ingredient was in my bread, the word choices were limited. “Oats” but no “oatflour”—how do i know they don’t use a different word for that? So if your in Norway, hardly useful, everything here is obviously written in Norwegian!!!!

Good content, but graphics not up to date. When I purchase an app, I have an expectation that if it does not meet up to ios7 design standards, it at least visually looks nice on all iOS devices. It looks terrible on the ipad with retina which is nearly two years old. Please update the graphics quality.

Good but..... I wish there were a way to look up words in reverse. It seems to only allow english search words but sometimes i want to look up a norwegian word.

Does NOT translate from Norwegian to English. Avoid this app.

No good. This only works from English to Norwegian. Not vice versa, as advertised.

Great book in an app; missing Norwegian to English. ***Bear in mind that this app lacks a Norwegian to English dictionary.*** Even if they're not willing to include one with the app, I'd be quite happy to pay another $5 for a simpler standalone app. If it seems a bit pricy, don't be turned off. This app is the digital version of a complete hard copy dictionary, with the added benefit of fitting in your pocket and being searchable. (This ostensibly has 54,000 references; my trusty 500-page Collins French-English dictionary, likewise $10, has 65,000.) The screenshots above are typical of common word definitions; many meanings and phrases are included alongside simple translations, which is where the real dictionaries really stand apart from the imitators.

Horrible app.. This is not a full dictionary app. Only English to Norwegian search for words. No Norwegian to English and interface is terrible. Misleading description and not worth the price.

A half app is better than no app. This is the only app using the database of an actual (and relatively good) dictionary. Too bad that we need another app for the Norwegian to English translation.

No reverse search!. NOT WORTH IT! Again - same as other reviews. Over priced. No reverse search of Norwegian to English so I can't look up what a Norwegian word means. What's the use of I can only look up words I know in English when I am hearing/reading Norwegian words I don't know every day. I wish I had read the previous review before buying this. The games are ok but also not reversible. It would be good to have flash cards in Norsk so that I could see if I know what they mean in English. Do not purchase unless they update to fix these problems!

Nice. A little difficult to navigate could use a BACK key to return to previous screen. Amazing detailed examples of the word in context but could use a word and/or pronunciation feature and a basic translator from Norwegian-English (would not need to be as indepth as the English-Norwegian)

Bad User Interface. This is a useful app, but overpriced. No reverse search, and limited practicality.

Thoroughly annoying. This is only a one way dictionary - so of rather limited us. Worse, it constantly demands that you rate the app 5-stars. It seems to be impossible to turn this ridiculous nagging off. A disgrace to Collins that their well-regarded name is associated with these shonky implementations (this is, however, better than their "collins gem" dictionary which is missing even very basic words. Avoid these products.
