Not enough balls..... Can't get past the second castle. Some of us dummy game players are older. You need to have a no limits ball button for some of us. Going to take it off my phone until an update. Just no fun when you cant win.

Too few levels. Only five levels. Seriously? Sure, the game is free. But Donut Games could have easily added a lot more levels, some additional options (save progress every three levels, unused stones carried to next level), and charged a buck or two and this would have been a lot better.

CASTLE CRACK ADDICTION!!!. This game is my new drug of choice. OMG i havent put it down since I downloaded it. WARNING do not download if you have a lot of work to do. YOu'll never get it done playing this game!!

Aim, FIREEE!!!!. Fire this app on to your iphone/itouch/ipad whatever you use because this is awesome to the infinity power times 3 because of the new modes new levels awesome Another Donut Game of an app.

Frustration. This is a very fun, cheap app that is worth it's amount of money. The only flaw is that when you run out of stones or your defender dies, you lose. That is the frustrating part and until they fix it, I will only give it four stars.

Donut Games apps that work all the time. When it has a donut game label, you know it works without fail. On the iPod, 3G, 3GS, and the new I4. Read reviews from other people, we all can be wrong. Donut games works hard before they release their apps that is why they work flawless. Other app makers can't say that. And this is the 100% truth Law Dawg

Fun and easy. Very addictive. I just wish there were more levels. This is great for mindless entertainment while doing something else too. Kind of lame to start over all the time though.

Great little game. Took me bout a week to get past the final board. Which there are only 5. This game can be so much more though. For one. The point system is kinda low. One point for each extra stone after u finish a board?!? How bout letting me keep those stones for the next!! Lol. How bout more then 5 boards and some different up grades??all in all it was a blast trying to get past the 5th board. It was a challenge in deed!!! Tip. Get the bouncier stones for the final board. great job. Liked it so much that I bought the lawn mower game. Which was also a blast!! Keep up the food work donut games. Peace out btw. Unique, But Not Enough.... The game is quite unique. The overall essence of the game is arcade style. Playing the game involves the control of a catapult that is weakly guarded. As the catapult, you determine its angles and powers towards a small or large enemy base. While attacking the base with the various angles and what-not, a few events could happen such as guards from the enemy castle attacking your catapult guards or gaining +3 stones from obvious targets. You win the level by demolishing every last bit of rubble from the map. After winning, you have the choice to either upgrade the amount of guards you can have, gain an extra stone, or improve stone bounces. You lose if you run out of stones to launch and HAVE to start COMPLETELY over. It all sounds pretty fun and cool by just seeing pictures of it or reading a small review, but it actually isn't as great as you would expect it to be. Pertaining to the title "Not Enough...", the game doesn't have extra options that include something such as starting at a specific level or have unlimited stones, free play or anything in that manner. If it had awesome things such as challenges, target mode, multiplayer, or so on, the game would be worth every penny and have higher ratings. For one dollar, the game seems pretty reasonable to the price. It would simply be much better if there was more content than just playing the same game over and over. But that's just my opinion.

Greeaat game!. I love this game it's pretty easy to understand and is really fun... The only thing is that I'm stuck on level 13 ik it's stupid but I've been trying 4 hours and can't get past it.... :(

I love this little game. This is a great little pick 'em up game that doesn't take a lot of time but is surprisingly fun. The little guys coming out of the castle to attack you add some real-time strategy to it. I've played through everything, so it would be cool if they added some kind of online version where multiple people competed to destroy the castle first. That said, for .99 it's a no brainer. Buy it and have fun!

GREAT. Before this game was not worth getting but now that it is free and an upgrade that includes 50 levels a trainer mode and an arcade mode. It is just worth getting without doubting anything.

Awesome. R u kidding? People this game is a gazillion time better then crappy angry birds I'd rather sit and be bored then play angry birds this game is awesome i played it the whole afternoon I thought it's Been 30 minutes what is boring about destroying castles what if the people in there where snobs wouldn't u want to destroy the castle??

Potential. This game can be fun but, with inability to save, is frustrating. Starting at the beginning and doing the same levels over and over again isn't very interesting. This also is a little challenging for a gamer playing just for fun.

Challenge!!. I absolutely love this game. 50 levels! Everytime I think I'm stuck I make it through and move on to a new level. Well done graphics; I'm totally a fan. :)

Excellent, excellent game!. I'm completely addicted to this. Much faster paced than Angry Birds, and this new update does wonders. Really fast gameplay, really tricky at the later levels, but always fun. Quick and easy to restart a level. When you start out it can be a little overwhelmingly difficult, but after 10 minutes you'll be firing off the catapult with aplomb! Really great game.

Kid Stuff....Right? Wrong.. Well, kids would enjoy the game, to a point. This game is well built, harder than you might imagine, and deceptively addictive. I played the Arcade section for a while and liked it, but it was the Challenges that really sucked me in. Nice details, interesting elements, and well worth a dollar!

neat. graphics are great, it's a tidy little game. I hate that you lose the game entirely when you run out of stones or your defender dies. Why not start over at the current level?! This is a very basic concept most games have enjoyed since the late 80s... a little more depth would greatly enhance this game. more castles, different enemies besides the other footsoldiers, maybe knighted horsemen, or archers. Add flaming stones to the arsenal maybe, for more damage. really all of these things could be implemented w/o changing the fundamentals of the game. needs some work to be great, but it's fun. really love graphics.

This game is entertaining. For perfect boredom situations.. Add a level edited/maker and the ability to share levels. Or make adding campaigns. You could also make new scenarios, different parts of the world, different gadgets to use.

Free and fun. This game could have well been a buck and I would pay that much atleast...it does have the same concept as crush the castle and the target practice is the best part. I think it's a great FREE game and well deserves 5 stars because it's simple and passes the time... Like every other game, and because of the target practice mode it has alot of replay value...

Simple yet Engaging Action Puzzler. Before you say anything, this came out before Angry Birds, so if anything, AB is a rip off of this. This game is very fun, the levels are numerous and well designed, the other games offer their own interesting challenge, just a great classic mobile game.

Completely Addicting!. At first, it looks like there's not a lot going on in this game, but this couldn't be farther from the truth! If you like the challenges of puzzles or strategy games, you'll like this game a lot. It is very creative, a lot of fun, totally challenging, and completely addictive. Donut Games Are Flawless. No problems with this game! For free, it is well worth the time to download. Gameplay is smooth. Would like to see more levels - maybe ones that exclusively demonstrate different power-ups.

Addicting, fun. I've had this game a while, the addition of achievements is nice as well leader boards and such. One of those games u can always come back to after a long hiatus

Fun.... I like the game okay but wish there were more controls... replay, end game, etc on the actual levels on which I am playing. I also had problems with stones being hurled at full power without my having pushed "fire". Time will tell whether this was a bug in the game or if my iPad was acting up... lost a lot of stones this way!

Lots of strategic fun!. I do NOT understand the low ratings. I've played a lot of games in my day, and this is not a bad game at all. The idea is to use your catapult to launch stones at a castle and knock it to the ground, bit by bit, by adjusting the angle and power of the launch. A lot of fun. A must have, for free. I would have paid a buck or more for this game.

You guys are so stupid. In the description, it says that this game was released in 2007 while angry birds and crush the castle were made in 2009. So stop complaining about how unoriginal this game is and do your research. It amazes me how many people can't read.

Fun, addictive, Donut classic!. This is a great little game, so fun and addictive. I'm always wanting to get in just one more level, or try to best my best score. It's in the same spirit as that monkey game, but even more clever and engaging. Donut games all have a similar flavor, but this one is one of the best -- and free.

Challenging. It would be flawless if each level had to be completed within a certain time.

Great Little Pick Up And Play Game. This suprised me for free it's a very fun game simple to pick up and play but tough enough to keep you coming back for more. A little bit like a worms style game but different enough to be it's own. Runs great on OS 4.XX give it a try you sure can't beat the price!

Only game I. I can't get enough of this game. I only play the "Challenges" mode and am trying to get 3 stars for every level. Release the Prisoners took me TWO weeks to beat and thats still very early in the levels. I'll be playing this game for a long time to come. I have one suggestion for the developers which is to put markers on the catapult angle bar like they have on the fire power bar. Its more fun to be consistent and figure out how to beat a level then to not be sure every time I move the arrow. For me I'd give it 5 stars without question if they included that feature. Highly recommended if you like this sort of game.

Awesome app. I download (and usually uninstall) a lot of free apps - this one is totally worth it! I don't see why anyone would rate it less than 5 stars

Fun & Addictive. Fun little game. Sometimes, I play the game, other times I play in trainer mode just to have variety. The big challenge for me is to always better my prior scores for each level. Although I'd love to see new levels or a real-time level generator, it's still a nice little game & great diversion… Enjoy!

Hours and hours of addictive fun!. Castle Smasher is one of those rare games that keeps you coming back for more. You'll catch yourself finally putting it down hours after you started. Hopefully, there will be more levels available in the future via a free update or a for-pay expansion pack. Who doesn't want more Castle Smasher?!

Love it. The pixel art style of the game, the simple gameplay, everything given great attention to detail, makes this game an all round 5 star. Hope to see more in the future

So so. Funny how alot of reviews mention how good donut games are but say nothing of this poor excuse for a game, my bad for d/loading I thought it would be more like Angry Birds, but all you do us pile drive bits of the castle onto the ground, BORING and to make it more difficult instead of making you use some sort of strategy it just gives you less ammo/boulders to use, the worst part is target practice HELLO. Practice, not where you miss one taget and have to restart the game. I would like to learn how the catapult operates not shoot, oh you missed start again.

Not up to Donut standards. One of the lesser games that Donut puts out. If I had realized this was in arcade mode I would never have bought it. To have to start over everytime is a pain in the backside. And while I at it.....let's do away with locked levels. I'm tired of paying for a full app but not being able to access the full app if I happen to get stuck on a level. Developers....get over yourselves.

to the people of donut games..... i have beaten the game and it is not really worth 2 dollars, maybe 1 dollar perhaps, an update would be better { to include more levels (perhaps some that can be custom made), make it more like the game "ishoot"- you can make money and buy equipment ( such as fires, bow an arrows to hit the enemy people), and to increase your stats such as "more guards, amount of stones to throw, and bouncier stones, and add maybe a few more likekind of guards with different weapons to increase their stregth to defend your side.} i hope you understand the point i am trying to make and to make this app a little better

It gets 4 strs bc it doesn't hav the option 2 change the warrior(btw wateva he is!) into a girl but how could u compare this to angry birdsthis is WAY better angry birds is okay but it's really easy this is challenging and fuun  I think this game is great! and ps it's free so stop complaingpeace out suckers lol dancer :D is out

This one is great. DG rules and it's awesome when they make their games free cause they are awesome the challenge is getting at least 2 stars on each level no beating them all though I'd still like DG to make more levels

One fix- if this change was made I'd change it to 4 or maybe 5 stars.. I love this game but PLEASE listen to this and other similar reviews asking you to make an update that allows you to make an option to start the game from where you lost last. Maybe give us three trys and if not then it's a complete game over and you have to start over. But please give some type of option to start from where you lost. I'd love this game a lot more if so.

Awesome but needs more levels. This game is awesome. One of the best "rock throwing" games (like Angry Birds, Crush the Castle, etc.) out there. It just needs more levels to get a 5 star rating...I beat all these 50 in a couple of hours.

Epic and free. this is addicting if you have some time and I think this is way better then angry birds it's a must get just touch the install button... it's waiting for you

Donut does it again!. Takes the Crush the Castle/Kill the King concept and gives it that simple and stripped-down but still fun (and inexpensive) Donut touch. If you're on a tight app-budget this app and their other physics game, Cat Physics, will fill your bill nicely. I'm continually impressed with the quality and value of the games Donut puts out. They make many of their apps free at different times (although they never seem to show up in app alert programs) so keep them all on your wishlist. Keep up the good work, guys!

Fun!. Another original and fun game from Donut Games that I've kept as a favourite. They have an amazing catalog of games that aren't just another endless runner clone or just another In-App-Purchase money sink like so many iOS games are. This is a lot of fun and stands alone with no In-App-Purchases. Recommended.

Great game with a small flaw. Thankyou to Donut Games for producing another fun, addictive and easy to control game that is stil unlike it's Donut 'siblings'. I am unsure why other reviewers complain of it being too hard, too frustrating, too hard to control - I found it simple to understand and it struck a balance between being easy and not challenging enough. Granted, those who are gratified by instant high scores and progression through levels may be disappointed, but I don't feel that thus is a failing of the game. Once you play around with the angles if your shots and the power if your catapult, it's surprisingly easy to get regular bulls-eyes - you just need to be persistent. Also, squashing the guards as they run out to attack you is kinda fun, in a very morbid way. What is a little frustrating is the inability to start the game where you left off. Instead, players are forced to return to the start each time. Perhaps the developers did this intentionally, but I struggle to see why - I am sure it us a glitch that could be fixed in an update. Once done, I'd have no hesitation in giving this a four or five star rating.

Disappointing. Was expecting a physics controlled ball and demolition model but got a shrinking castle instead. Graphics are also sub-par. Leave it on the App Store.

Awesome!. ... Like all Donut Games, Castle Smasher is awesome!!!! The only thing I would suggest for you guys to add, is a sleep mode to the game. Sometimes I would leave the game on, and when I come back, my iPod is still on and my battery is already at 20% after I've charged it all night. And I only left my iPod on for 10-15 minutes. So, please put a sleep mode to the game, so we can all save our batteries! Just fix that and it would get 6/5 stars! One last thing..... Keep making FREE APPS! Thanks.

Cool app but. With the new os 4 and multitasking, u guys should update all ur donut games to enable multitasking in it. Like, if I switch to another app, and then return to a donut app, I lose all the progress and the whole app/game starts loading from the beginning. Please update cuz I really need that cuz half of my apps are donut game and thank you!

Donut = Triniti. So I've decided that like Triniti, Donut takes already established games, re-does them in their own art style, makes them less compelling, and sells them. Every title is so vanilla, that they all blur into each other.

Great game. Very fun, at least as fun as crush the castle, lots of levels, interface is good, different game modes are fun. Gets more difficult too.

Great Game!!. I just got this game and I'm already addicted. I'm a huge Angry Birds fan and I finally found another game that feeds that addiction! Thank you Donut Games!!

A favorite. I come back to each challenge to try and improve. Very enjoyable. And I like the stats!

One of the best free games. This is definitely one of the best free games I have (if not the best). The levels are challenging but bearable, and really fun. There are power ups and variations of play. Get it!

Awesome!. THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!! But it needs more levels!! I thought there use to be 100. I got it one time but then i got a new ipod. But then i got it again and nows there 50. Im pretty sure there was 100.

Cool. It is a good castle smasher app and it's great for free but angry birds and crush the castle are better but they are all great in there own ways.

Addictive Destruction!. A fun game but not my favorite Donut Game. Still, great animation and fun gameplay, but very repetitive. I look forward to any new Donut Games still!

Get it, it's free. It's a pretty fun little game. I love the retro graphics. I know this was the original, but I do prefer both Angry Birds and Crush the Castle to this; they're more physics-based. But this game's still fun.

My favorite Castle Smashing Game!!. I have Trebuchet, and another one (?) name escapes me...but this is the best, the best graphics especially!! This is the real deal!!

Don't get.. If you are a fan of donut games, don't be surprised when this game dissapoints you. Try if you would like, but the other donut games are a lot more fun.

Smash them Castles.... In keeping with Donut Games' other releases this is an arcade style game with expected quality and graphics. Play is simple, use your catapult/trebuchet to lay siege to the enemy's fortress. Well Done!!

Great job by donut. Donut games has a special talent for creating simple, arcade-style game, and most are 5-star worthy. This one is no exception, instant buy!

C'mon. Hey, it's a fun little game! Worth 2 or 3 bucks? That's up to you. But not every game is going to be way complex. Lotsa people like that. Too bad we can't get a trial of every application, and then buy the full v. if we like it...

Wow.... The game was was great! Until I died...why do you have to restart the WHOLE thing when you run out of stones or die? Why can't you just restart the level? Until that's fixed I only give this game three stars.
