Roni Music Is An Original. For over a decade I have used Roni Music's computer apps. When no other slow downer, looper, speed, or pitch adjustment applications were available on the planet freely or for a minimal price, depending which application was acquired from Roni Music's download page, Roni Music's products were available and worked like a charm. I am very happy to have found this app. What I really like about this IOS slowdowner/ looper app, is it gives much more control than others I found. Plus, I can add my own files into this app without the need to have a computer...if you have tried some of the other apps, you'll see what I mean.

ASD Bummer. I wish I had known before this purchase that importing from iTunes would be such a difficult job. I would not have bought it.

Only 8 seconds?. Only loaded the first few seconds of the file. Deleted app.

For the cry babies out there. Quit your crying about downloading songs. This is a GREAT app if you want to learn those hard leads. I've been playing for over 25 years and always had a hard time figurig out certain parts of a song. This app has certainly lived up to its expectations. Any improvement would only make this app that much better.

Great lite app! Just like the ASD we all grew up loving!. This is just like the original, but you must read the restrictions. All the negative reviews from people are all based on not understanding the restrictions. It is not that hard to read and see you need wifi to upload songs into the program and that they must be mp3. The reason for this is apple restrictions on app accessing the music library on your phone. Believe me I am sure the programer would be capable and love to make the app work with music library. Anyone that is complaining about this app didn't bother reading the full description before buying. ASD is a classic music program and the developer deserves three cheers for making it an app. Lower price would be great, but hey... You only live once.

Problem solved. I had encountered a problem after an upgrade and was very upset. I have to say the company took care of it and was very gracious in how they handled it. I initially had the free version and later upgraded. I should have bought the full version from the beginning. It is a great app.

Useless. The lite version will only play thirty seconds of your song rendering it completely useless. Don’t bother.

Should I have just bought the full app in the App Store?. I upgraded from the lite version to the full version in the app. It worked fine. However, the app i have is still called ASD Lite. Plus the App Store says i have not purchased the full version and still wants me to pay 15$ to get it. Should i have just bought it from the App Store? If so, why do you even offer an in app upgrade if the full app is in the App Store?

app uploaded the song onto the app and once you stop paying for it then they only play 1/4 of the. After uploading a full song it doesn’t let you keep it saved on the app Even after paying for it then they only play 1/4 of the song again and take back the full song that was uploaded during subscription. That’s like buying Apple Music and only getting snippets after you bought it. Too bad cause it’s a great app

Skip to next. This is a great App. However, for my needs, a "skip to the next song" button would be miraculous. It's really cumbersome having to go back to the song list to play the next song in a playlist. Am I missing this function?

Looping in time is way too hard.. Good app, simple interface, does what it says. Good that it it does fractional pitch shift for songs not tuned to the same pitch as your instrument. But looping is extremely hard and takes forever to get right, in time to a song. After you do get it right the forward and x 2 buttons are great.

Long-Time Satisfied User. I've been using the Mac version for well over ten years now, and didn't really want to pay another $30 to upgrade again. When I heard about this iOS version for $15, it was a no-brainer. Works great! I only wish the pitch adjustment offered smaller intervals, like the Mac version... which allowed me to tune certain bands' songs (which are tuned between semitones for whatever reason) exactly to my guitar. That would make it perfect for play-alongs.

Outstanding tool for musicians!. This app works like magic. Complex, up-tempo passages in songs you need to learn can be allowed down in the original pitch to any speed you need to be helpful. Can't hear a particular note in a solo? No problem. This is probably the most helpful app I've ever bought. It has saved me hours of time worth far more to me than the cost of the app. As apps go it's not cheap, but worth every penny. And no, I am not affiliated with the developer in any way.

Not full song. If you need to play the whole song don’t bother with the free version. It plays a tiny part of the song, but the full version is way too expensive

Sold out to Apple Music. You won’t be able to use your iTunes files with this software unless you hand out $9.99 to Apple Music every month ~ ASD sold out to Apple- Good luck struggling musicians!

Great app, frustrating UI. Love the app and use it every day. But the slider controls for setting the loop start and end points, speed, and pitch are a really, really bad choice. It’s really difficult to set the values with a slider. A text input would be so much better.

LOWER THE PRICE. This app just shows you what the full version can do. The full version is a great app. But YOU NEED TO LOWER THE PRICE. The reason app makers are making MONEY is because they price their apps to sell ALOT of them. If you priced yours normally you would also sell ALOT of them. $15 for an app that does something other free apps do just as well is insane. Your desktop version is WAY too expensive as well. You need a business manager.

Amazing!. Learning songs on records in the 60s & slowing them down to try to learn the licks was the only way we could learn something. Now you just select a song slow it down, it stays at the same pitch & you learn it. Then you keep playing it a little faster till your playing at full speed - Way Cool!!!

After 2 Hours...I gave Up1 Conclusion: Does not work.. Downloaded the app and spent a few hours trying to upload songs. The developer goes into elaborate detail on how to set up your wifi settings, and to make sure it's working. I think if you downloaded the app, you should already know this. Regardless, it wasn't worth the time trying to figure it out. Downloaded MusicTrainer for .99 and had no problems what so ever. What is really crazy, is out of the total 57 ratings, 27 give it one star or a "hate it" but the developer still wants $15 for the full version.

Well.... I have mixed feelings about this app. I love it, and would buy the paid app EXCEPT... I wish I could be able to somehow save the changed pitch/tempo to my ipod or computer somehow. AND... I really wish I could use music from my ipod's library. I can see how what the person below me says could be true, though if it is or not I don't know. That's what would have to happen to make me buy the full version.

More like the Amazing Let Downer. This app has a gret concept, but ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? FIFTEEN BUCKS FOR THIS PIECE? the light version plays 1 QUARTER of the song, something which it lies about in description when it says play any part of a song. All i need to learn in the songs i put on here is the solos, which are not in the 1st quarter of a song. Absolutely ridiculous. I will buy it if you considerably lower the price.

Great!. Being able to import songs from you iPod library is awesome, and it does it's job without a hitch. The only drawback is that the interface and the icon is pretty boring. Very functional, just plain.

Awesome companion to PC version. Been using the PC version for years. $15 is a bargain for this powerful program. We like to use our IPads during band practice for lyrics, etc. and this allows us to hear songs with possible key changes we may make and can slow down and loop tricky parts of songs (even our originals we recorded).

Read the instructions and limitations!. Forget the negative reviews. You have to use Wifi because Apple and NOT Roni Music places the restriction on connecting to your iPod songs. Tell Apple to remove this restriction and I am sure the app will get updated. For me I have a specific list of songs that I want to learn at any given time. So I just make a list and import them. This is great software and I am really glad it has been ported to the iPhone.

Works Great!. My Music Trainer app suddenly stopped working after upgrading to ios8, so I've been in the market for a new phrase trainer. This one works great, although the sample size is pretty short. I plan to upgrade to the paid version soon,

Not playing iPod library is due to an Apple restriction.. Apple doesn't provide the hooks needed by this app to play tunes from the iPod library. It's Apple's fault, not the ASD developer. Write Apple and ask them to provide the API's needed by this app; maybe they'll listen. In the meantime, this is a great app, though it's a little inconvenient downloading the files. But, that's the only way the developer could get access to the music files.

How do you export?. The app works great! It is everything i've wanted for years. Only issue is I am unable to figure out how to export my "Amazing Slow Song" I created in the app. If I can figure this out, I will actually purchase the full version.

A great app for what I need. This is a great application for what I need. I'm a professional solo musician and backing tracks are a big part of my show. Being able to import audio files to edit the time the tempo and the key ,and then export them to my applications on my tablet where I can play them live during my show . It works perfectly for me even with key changes five or six steps above or below for that reason I give it five stars. I also use AudioStretch which is a similar application but I like this one better . Want to thank Ronimusic for this application and another very useful application that I use a lot Sweet MIDI

Looping. This app has so much potential but the fact that you can’t sing the whole song makes it extremely difficult to know if you can carry the whole song vocally. All the higher notes, the REAL kickers are building throughout the song. Also the key should be presented at the beginning of the sing along with the key we need. That’s what the app is for after all. Super bummer.

A New IPad. I recently updated my IPad and Rolf, the customer service person, helped me set it up. He was very helpful. He explained how to renew the app on the new equipment and how to move my library. I’ve used this app for years and am totally satisfied with both the app but impressed with the attention given through customer service. DT

Can’t access google drive. I have lots of music on my google drive but this app will only connect with iCloud or Apple music

ASD Lite vs Full. I purchased the full version from the lite version and it works on my phone. I'm pretty certain I purchased it in the past from a different device, yet when I initially tried to 'restore the purchase' the loading icon never stopped so I purchased once again. Tried to access my 'full version' from the iPad to which I later downloaded the app to no success. It does not make any mention of an 'ipad' or 'iphone' version. Unfortunate. Otherwise app works ok, just be weary of how you're spending your money.

Extremely Useful. I have used this App for many years. I absolutely love it. I use it to change keys of songs, as well as changing tempo and/or speeds. Also use it to loop in order to better learn specific parts of songs.

Great language learning tool!. I listen to Japanese podcasts using the speech settings. Let's me slow down and loop small sections without distortion. ASD does this better than any other app I've tried.

My best music app. This turns all my songs into a beautiful, slow, ambient tune. I dont use it for learning, i use to set songs at just the right tempo and pitch for even more enjoyment in my music

exelent app. as a jazz piano player I can't describe how happy I am for having this app, it's simple but gets the job done now I can transcribe all my favorite Oscar Peterson tunes. buying the full version of it for sure

Asking for payment again!?. I purchased the app, got a new phone. Logged into Apple ID and it asking me to pay again on my new phone???!!

Major Drawback. you cannot access the music on your iPhone. I own the full version for the laptop and use it on a regular basis. Was hoping to find that same program for the iPhone but it's not as good. the version you pay for also doesn't have access to the music on your iPhone.

Prime example of a program that can use new 3.0 features.. ASD needs to get up to date and use the iPod library. Ever since iPhone OS 3.0 has been available, third party apps have been able to access the iPod library. I've been waiting for an update for months now. If it doesn't come soon, I'm going to delete the app because it's useless to me right now. I use ASD on my computer and love it. I'm ready for the iPhone version to be just as useful.

Very unprofessional customer service. I have loved this app for years. Have actually recommended it to many people, but want other people to know that there may a security flaw, which the VERY unprofessional customer service rep tried to tell me was user error. Last night, someone accessed my phone, using this app to play the last song I was listening to. They edited the song, and even named a loop, misspelling the word “experiment.” I thought it would be good to let the company know, but according to them, their app cannot be hacked. Maybe they should let the government use their spectacular coding skills, because even the Pentagon gets hacked. Yes, I am not using the latest iOS, as I’ve been advised to avoid it until Apple gets it right. That said, I’m fairly sure ASD was the point of entry. This a their exact response, lack of proper capitalization, formatting, and all: “forget that it's not possible to hack your phone using ASD whatever happened is either a bug in iOS 12 or just some user error I would guess the later”

Disappointed. I thought I would be able to actually do something with this app, but I can’t get any of my songs on there, and I am very disappointed.

Singer who thinks this app is just what he needs. As a performer, this app is awesome. But it is even more awesome on the Mac where I can change the pitch and/or speed and then SAVE the file as an mp3 and import it back into iTunes. Then I sync Tunes with my iPad and the edited song can be played in ASD on my iPad and into my Bose tower sound system. It could be much, much better if the iPad version could import the iTunes lyrics so I can view them as I play the music. Another feature that would really help is the ability to select multiple songs for the ASD playlist instead of having to manually select each song from the beginning of the iTunes song list. These two features would definitely get this app a 5+ star rating from me. JohnO

Best investment I have ever made. I forget how much I spent on this. But I use it all the time. It is by far one of the best things I have ever purchased as a musician. Highly recommended for musicians of all skill levels. Keep up the good work!

.....if it ain't broke, don't fix it..... .....just updated this app, and now ALL it does now is crash immediately upon startup...... how cool is that......one would think the update would be tested for problems before passing on to us.....ah well......there are other similar apps out there that do basically the same thing..... the search is on.....

Needs an update???. I've downloaded this app to learn song slowly but I'm only getting 43 seconds of all my songs. Is it because I have the lite version or is it just the app??

Import One Song at a Time - You have to be kidding!. The app only imports one song at a time. This is so painful if you want to learn an entire album. On the plus side, the app imports and plays the music I purchase from the iTunes Store fine. Perhaps I'm downloading unprotected files, or perhaps the app can actually read some protected files. The "Show File Extension" setting doesn't seem to work, so I have no way of telling which of these is the case. And if I can't bulk import, I can't tell if any of my 3000 songs won't import because they're protected. Definitely not worth $15.99.

A Nightmare!. Compared to the fantastic PC version this app is hideous. I have sat here for an hour and for the life of me I cannot get it to import tunes from my iPhone music playlist. The Help menu is massively complex to follow. Life is too short. Deleted app and have gone back to using my laptop.

Completely useless. As an early adopter of the slow downer, I object to paying $23 for the phone version. I expected that there would be restrictions on the lite version but not this ridiculous totally unusable “first quarter” nonsense. Why even bother. This makes me reluctant to pay anything at all for the app. I think I’ll find a competitor.

Lite version isn’t very useful. The functions are good, although I think the layout could be redesigned. But with the lite version you can only listen to a quarter of any audio track - ANY track, even one you create yourself. This makes the lite version nothing more than an ad for the paid version, and not useful in itself.

Great app but obscene price for full version!!. This is really a great app for musicians! I can slow down a complex lick or riff and hear each note. Awesome!! I give it one less star because the full version is way too expensive! I reckon more will buy it if it's cheaper.

No sync with Spotify?. Have downloaded the lite version on my iPhone, however am unable to access my Spotify (premium) playlists. I don’t use Apple Music. There doesn’t appear to be any troubleshooting tips for this problem? If so, the app is not very useful to me as things stand.

Brilliant. I don't know how I used to practice before this. I have used it for years now. Without fail this is one of the most useful apps out there for a musician. My only qualm is that, after many uses, it can take up a lot of storage, but a simple delete and fresh install fixes that instantly.

Works Extremely Well. I use this app to transcribe jazz trumpet solos and it works extremely well. The user interface is simple and intuitive. Slowing down to 1/4 speed allows me to catch even the fastest jazz licks. It's very simple to create a loop and save it too. Connection with Dropbox allows me to pull MP3 files from anywhere, so I'm not limited to iTunes music. I'm very impressed. The upgrade to the full version was well worth the money because it saves me hours of frustrating work. Well done Roni Music. Regarding tech support: I had one question which was answered in a matter of a couple of minutes via email tech support! I can't ask for better than that.

Best purchase ever. I've had the paid version of this app for years and years and I still use it almost every day, it is the best and I even taught myself how to play fiddle using this app just by slowing down and looping tunes I wanted to learn. Love that there is spotify integration now but the latest version keeps crashing or closing my Spotify page if ASD is even open and not doing anything in the background so I need to close the app every time I want to use the Spotify app. Still gotta give 5 stars though, papa bless.

Import issue. Why is that when I import a music file I can only see half of the file when I’m playing the audio.??????

Excellent music app. I’m an amateur guitarist who like to play solo guitar. I can use the app to shorten the music piece and slow it down. Then play it over & over by using its repeated feature while I’m learning how to play. Even I turned off my iPhone, it’ll still play the music. Very convenient. I love it!

A great app and great support. This is a great app for practicing on any instrument. This is one of my most used apps. It supports airplay for easy set up if you have a compatible receiver or speakers. As for customer support all of my emails and questions have been promptly answered. I read a previous review that mentions if you upgrade the lite version you won't be able to install it on other iOS devices linked to the same account, but I have upgraded to the full version from the in app purchase of the lite version and have it installed on both my iPod Touch and my iPad. Truely an amazing app.

Doesn't work. The app doesn't import any music from iTunes. I tried to import from Spotify and it didn't work either.

I don't like the fact that charging $16.99 for the full version was bad, charging $20.99 is crazy and way over priced for this stupid little app, a 3 year old could make this in under 10 minutes and it would still work just as good as these people say it is. It's way over priced and should be lowered

Works GREAT!. Love it!!! Does what it says it will do. And, It's FREE! I work around the 2 minute limitation of this 'lite' version by taking my music into my DAW. I edit my music, taking the first 2 minutes and pasting it to the end of the song and then save a copy. I do this a couple of times so that I have copies of the piece that start at 0 mins, 2 mins, 4 mins etc. That way I can get the whole piece slowed down with out shelling out $15 for the full blown model. Yeah, it takes a little time but costs NOTHING. Love how you can incrementally alter the beginning and end of the loop I'm working on. Excellent! I got the free version and don't need the full blown one but would buy it, to support your great product ... if you would drop your price to something more reasonable. GOOD STUFF guys! Drop your price please.

Excellent sound quality!. After trying the lite version I immediately need to buy the full version! Never heard an app for slowing down having such a clear sound! Totally worth my $15! Can't wait to start using it while I play guitar!

What a scam!. Two major issues: 1) inferior in every way to anytune yet priced the same for the paid version 2) dishonesty: this is one of those apps releasing frequent updates with no meaningful improvements just to maintain visibility. If only apple would put the brakes on apps that do this!

Useless now!!. I used to love this app!! I loved it so much I paid $16 for the full version….but I haven’t used the app in a couple years because I got out of playing music for a while. I come back to the app and you can no longer play music from Spotify!! I feel like I should get my $16 back!!

Almost 5 stars!!! Except one thing.... Its the app perfect designed app for slowing down songs without affecting pitch. My only issue is when i had it on smartphone i could import any song from any mp3 including amazon, but with iPhone it is iTunes ONLY and most of my purchases are Amazon.... and now, either amazon or itunes has disabled transferring to each other even on pc. This app will get 5 stars when it allows amazon imports!

No Spotify. Was a great app and no longer can access Spotify content. Loved this app before Spotify killed support. Too bad. This was a great app. Going to look elsewhere.

Very Well Thought Out!!!!!. This program is amazing!!! Not only because of the fact that I now hear all the notes and the timing nuances, but because of the tools this program offers. One can change the speed between 25% - 200%, change the pitch -6 to +6 semitones - in .01 increments if needed. You can change the mix in case the instrument you need to listen to is dominant on one speaker. All these sliders have five different sensitivities allowing you to easily change values in whole numbers, or up to thousandths for some. The looping is very easy to set up using either a start and stop button, or the sliders. With a touch of a button you can slide the looped segment to the area just before or after the one you are working on. Etc... I really like the execution of this program and what it is doing for my playing. I originally thought that I would only use it to listen to small segments in loops to learn breaks, but I also find myself listening to whole songs at slightly slower speeds.

Useless in 2023. Does NOT work with Spotify OR Apple Music. Useless in 2023. my understanding is the full version is also not compatible with either one. this was a great app in the past when it actually worked with what we all use. I can’t imagine very many people still use this app anymore though since they decided to become irrelevant.

Works well without flaw. This app works so well, I’ve started to see that not all YouTube instructional videos “get it right.” I’m relatively new to guitar and trying to learn finger style acoustic blues. I use this app for practice but also to figure out tabs for songs where they aren’t available. While not the purpose of the app, it’s made my musical ear much better. I love this app - can’t believe it’s free!

SOOOOOO HELPFUL!!!!. This app not only slows down, speeds up, and adjusts the pitch (accurately) of any song you choose - it links up to Spotify, making it the single most convenient and priceless tool I have ever used as a musician. An absolute MUST for musicians that spend hours learning by ear, or want to practice their pieces along with the originals, yet adjust the key to their liking. Amazing. I am so happy I found this!!!!!

Terrible. I wanted to try this out before buying. Every time I try to link my Spotify account with the app, it won’t let me. Okay so, I tried to log into my Spotify account with my email. It says my email isn’t linked to my Spotify which is a lie because it is and has been for years, and I checked 2 minutes ago and it is. This is not a problem with Spotify, or my phone. This has only happened with this app. Waste of 30 minutes trouble shooting 😭

Price. Lower the price and you'll sell more apps. The price as it stands now is unjustified.

Just a "Downer". I had this app for years. It used to be great. Now, it will restrict anything from iTunes library from loading. it's near impossible to get any music into this app. If you're an Apple user, forget it. Worthless.

Not working!!. Just downloaded it, thought I would use the light version before I decided to purchase the more expensive version. I just downloaded it and played a song, and it keeps stalling and pausing and stopping. Not a fan.

It should be cheaper. Really 15$ I could get way more apps with that. It should be 1$

All i need to learn in the songs i put on here is the solos, which are not in the 1st quarter of a song. Absolutely ridiculous. I will buy it if you considerably lower the price.

Why???. What is the point of having a playlist feature if it does not automatically go from one song to the next???

Get rid of 2 min. Restriction!!!. Yes, this a lite version and they need money, but all we really are doing is listening to our songs slower! Just get rid of the 2 min. Audio restiction and I'll give ya five stars!

Why i can use the music that i have in my iphone. They need to fixed i like very much but it's to hard to put the music from my computer why ican use the music that i already i have in my iphone

What about the rest of the song???. Maybe on the paid version we could hear more than a minute at a time. Other then that Super Cool.

True to the name. Slows down with minimal distortion. Worth the money for the full version. The pitch adjust is awesome as well. I'm not sure what the mix meter does but still toying with it.

Guitar. I want to transfer songs from my Iphone 5 voice memo, to my slow downer app & can not figure out how to get it done. I bought the full app but in the transfer mode ASD is not present. Can you help me please, thank you.

DO NOT BUY!!. The pitch shift does not work, does not sync with Spotify accounts, does not keep consistent time when slowed down. This is some horribly designed app that is just trying to take peoples money. I repeats DO NOT BUY!!

Awesome. I love this app a lot the only thing I don’t like is how you can’t change the length of the music and can’t move two bars at a time . This app would be better if you could be better if you could move two music bars at a time but the app still works great. A really annoying thing also about this app is that you can only pick songs you downloaded which is very annoying because then you have to download a song if you want to use it. If the app let you use YouTube it would be much easier to use the app. The time limit on each song is very annoying, plus you can only use that section this drives me crazy because I want to use other parts of the song and I can’t do so. This app is very good besides this stuff because I can’t find any apps like this so it makes this app very unique. I for sure rate this 5 stars if there wasn’t this stuff wrong with it.

bad. I can’t do anything i use Spotify I log in into my Spotify account i make a playlist of the I want to use and nothing shows up.Also in not spending 14.99 cash for the other one.

Doesn’t work to it’s full potential. I bought this app on the “lite version” for 14.99 and have been using it with my Apple Music subscription. I see that there is a “real” version on the App Store but I don’t want to have to pay 14.99 for the same app again. When using Apple Music with it I’ve found that it will only let me slow it down and speed it up. I just bought Spotify so that I could access all of the features on this app, such as the transposing, but nothing with Spotify works. I can’t access anything with Spotify. I’m a music teacher and I love being able to use this to help my students, but with so many limitations I just find myself frustrated. I’d love to have some feedback as to how I could use all of this apps features.

Best transposer out there - and with Spotify!. I play guitar with bands with singers who need the song in different keys. I can get the transposed songs together but when I want to jam alone to practice, or especially when I want to learn the lead, this app is super helpful. Change the pitch by half or full steps, which essentially changes the key, but doesn’t change the speed. And it works with Spotify premium, so I don’t need loads of songs on my device, I have millions in the cloud. Been looking for an app like this for weeks.

2 things. Re help for roni music, If you backed up your old phone when you had the full version than restore that back up hope that helps 😀 And It doesn't let you edit the full version of the song, all in all the worst music editor app you will EVER get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Works for me... time to upgrade. Hi there, I was worried about the low reviews, but hey: free's nice. So I tried it, and it works just fine. Songs imported from my library very well. It's helpful, even limited to the first 1/4 of the song. Still, I'd like to play along with and learn entire songs, so I'm going to buy the full version now. Adan

Roni Music, please help. I originally downloaded the "lite" version of this app then purchased the full version. However, the logo always remained "ASD Lite". Now I'm setting up my new phone and only have access to the lite version. I already purchased this app once; I'm not going to buy it again!

Amazing. I have used ASD for several years on my laptop and it is sensational to have it on the go.

Negative comments?. Not sure why there are negative comments it works great.

Okay but too limited. This is a neat concept but the 2 minute max is too limiting. There are other free programs available that don't have such a restrictive time limit.
