I have been waiting for this app. I had an idea for a stand alone device that does what this app does! You compare the price against the rad 1 rollover stand alone device and you save $130. I have some suggestions for features but this app works wonderfully. Even made a iPhone holder in honor of this app and boy am I happy!

Cool app, but has a few bugs. When I click on the gps button, the app crashes. Also, It would be awesome if they put speed and elevation on the main screen. If they can fix the bugs and add speed and elevation, I would definitely give it 5 stars. Oh, and make it possible to change the vehicle color

It works with iOS 11.1.2. Today is November 28, 2017. I have iOS 11.1.2. The app works fine. It must have been updated since all the previous comments about it not working with iOS 11.

Very Nice!. This app is very well done. It is very configurable and has sweet graphics. I have been looking for this kind of thing for a while. Everything works as good as or better than advertised. Another reviewer claims there is a bug when the pitch is near vertical. There is a limitation that is well spelled out in the help telling you that the roll indicator will be unstable if the pitch is near vertical. This is ok with Me. Who operates straight up or straight down anyway? The smoothing works very well.

Unable to reorient. The app works well when horizontal. I now have a phone holder that works better vertically but the apps closes when I try to reorient.

Please update for iOS 11. This is a great app but it has not been updated for iOS 11 compatibility.

Alert sounds are AWESOME!. I've been waiting for an app like this for a long time. What sets this one apart from the rest are the audible alarms. You can specify pitch and roll limits for your particular vehicle on the setup screen. As you drive, when your vehicle's attitude approaches your pre-set limit a you hear a warning tone. When you reach the limit, an alarm sounds. The alarm is great because at those times when you need to know the vehicle's attitude most, you're usually too busy paying attention to the terrain and your driving to look at a gauge. The response time on the dials is adjustable, so they're very smooth in their operation. The compass is a nice bonus! Thanks for a great app!

I like it!!! But..... I haven't used it on the trail yet, but so far I like it. It has WAY more features than the other apps. My only suggestion is offer more Jeeps than just the JK and military. On the pictures of the app, it showed a TJ option, and I was disappointed that there isn't a TJ option. Just like you've seen in the other reviews, there's animosity between the off-road brands. But that's not where it stops. There's more animosity within each brand. For example, most of us TJ folks aren't real fond of JK's, and so on. I feel like I'm betraying my TJ roots by displaying a JK on my clinometer. If you want to go a step further, offer a LJ option (TJ Unlimited)! I'm already a Smittybilt fan, but that would put it over the top!

Junk. Worked when first installed. Now it will not calibrate no matter what.

Not as Accurate as I'd Hoped. I needed exteme precision in this application and I didn't find it. Other "level" apps exhibit must finer performance characteristics than are currently seen in this app. For example, tiltin the iPhone 1 or 3 degrees either forward or side to side sometimes doesn't result in a change to the readout. And that made it almost useless for my intended purposes. Now if that kind of precision isn't important to you, it seems like a fine app.

Needs Car Play functionality. This app would be great if it could be used with Apple CarPlay

Could easily go 5 stars if. If you swap the compass and pitch and roll to the other side. And move setting to where compass is. Point of this is, we could then use the gpsdata and still see the compass. I use god data to track speed and elevation etc but it blocks my compass heading. Fix that and everyone in the jeep world will have this app. Add the time as well

Well worth it.. I love that I can specify the angle at which the alarms sound. That way I can take into account how much cargo I'm carrying, whether or not the roof rack is loaded, etc. And it's also great that the alarm is two staged, giving a warning before the rollover angle is reached. Very easy to understand and use. Very well implemented. Great app!

It’s ok. Has not been updated in a while. It’s an ok app and does what it says. Looks like no updates since 2017 which leaves some of the new IOS feature out like split screen/multitasking. It would be a 5 star if that worked and I could bring this up with navigation at the same time on an iPad.

Disappointed. Downloaded this app and it won’t open. App keeps crashing as soon as I press the icon.

Doesn't work well. iPad or App Store gives me problems posting, so this is Cliff notes version as I don't want to write a lengthy review for a fourth time. Left/Right too touchy and exaggerates. Front/Back too slow and understates.

Nice tool. I am mounting this in my Jeep XJ, more of a gadget than anything. But, I live in the mountains of Colorado and knowing elevation is great information. It would be nice to have a fixed location to display elevation if the GPS is enabled. Other than that, nice APP.

Cool gadget!. The only thing I would change is to be able to insert more vehicle data like lift size, tire size, axle ratios...etc as these things would change the degrees of rollover and such. Ex. A lifted Wrangler would roll over from a higher center of gravity than a stock one. Judging from the Jeep on the Clinometer, these values are set from stock.

Different trucks. I would like to see updated to ios11 and have other trucks besides jeeps I got a gmc would like that on there

Works well, but adding “apple play” could make it great. I enjoy using it, but I have to mount my phone. How awesome would it be, to just plug it into my “apple play” head unit and see it on the screen!!!!

Great app!. I really like this app for use in my Jeep . I just have one request -it would be great if it worked with apple car play so I could run it to my biger display! Course that would open the door for some kind of aftermarket Jeep pages similar to their top line radio displays!! Even if the app had to pull info from a obd2 reader- having some neat interactive info pages for the Jeeps that are not Ribicons is a missed market!!

Needs UPDATE!. Just downloaded and used one day and iPhone updates but app hasn’t in weeks now

Clinometer. Bought this, has never worked. Doesn’t even open up the app.

Entertaining app.. The meters work perfectly and are customisable. Graphics are smooth, clean, and easy to read at a glance. This program does NOT have the option to turn off GPS to help save battery life. This program does NOT utilize the built in compass on the iPhone 3gs and is not nearly as good as it would be if it did. Both of these would be easy to implement into an update. Otherwise I love the app.

Excellent.... I've been looking for one of these and seems to work great......so far. I like the variety in the settings.

Could be four stars but no TJ?!?!. Seems to work well and I enjoy using it, just wish I wasn’t looking at a JK...

Needs update badly. Constantly crashes and gps doesn’t work, no sounds, if it tilts to fast the app will shut down. Great app, Definitely needs some work.

Great. Great app! I like to set the audible alerts a little low to give my passengers a little scare. One update I would like to see would be the ability to save your most extreme angle. Would definitely buy this again.

Nice app! But.... Can you guys add a clock to the app face? That would be so much better.

Pretty cool. This is a pretty awesome app but I would love to see an update with compatibility for apple CarPlay. This way the display could show right on the stereo display! But it works well for what it is.

Crash, crash, crash. Trying to select options crashes the app. Using iPhone X. Can’t choose alarm angels without crashing. Compass useless. Good layout and graphics.

Won’t zero. The vehicles just keeps flashing and says it can’t zero! Tried resetting and reloading the app! Would buy the physical smittybilt inclinometer but it had really bad reviews on how it’s built! Any clues

What a great idea!. This app serves a very practical and important function. Make sure to lay the phone on your dash in a visible area and keep both hands on the wheel. Also- can you do the update for new iPhones? I have the 5S. Thanks!

Smittybuilt clinometer. Does not work with ios 11, guess this app is useless now

Not compatible with future iOS updates?????. I just purchased and I get a pop up screen saying that this app will not function with future iOS updates....really? I want my 99cents back.

Was nifty. No updates.. It was a nifty little app, up until iOS 11. No longer compatible without an update. Don’t waste your money.

Does not work on iPad mini. The app works on my iPhone, I like it. But unfortunately it doesn’t work on my iPad mini which is what I really want to use it on. I deleted and reinstalled the app twice, still no luck. Will there be an update soon?

Best Clinometer App. This app is outstanding!! The latest version has the best features of any Clinometer app out their, and I have purchased about 5. Like the interface not cheesy like most, very professional looking no BS. Like the functionality and how it orients itself on start up (just remember multi-tasking might require home double click and close to completely reset). Works flawlessly. You can set the alarm angles for what makes sense to you. Really worth the money, and Smitty picked a winner. Pick this app and you have picked a winner too, enjoy. Make sure all audio is on for warning tones, not just volume but the little switch by the volume control on the side of the phone. One of the vehicles is a Bronco too, awesome! Thanks Fliware!!!!!!

#1. I downloaded several of these apps. This one is definitely the best by far. Wish it had a TJ as a vehicle option but as long as it works who cares. Don't waste your time and $$$$ with the others.

Interesting App; Still some bugs. I’m interested to try this app on our next trail ride. It beats spending more money on an equally capable device, or the a lot more money for a device that performs better. The one bug I can’t seem to figure out is that warning tones/sounds are turned on, but when triggered by excessive roll and/or pitch there are no sounds played. A puzzle.

Not CarPlay. Make this app CarPlay compatible and it would be perfect!

Well done. I use it in my dash and it look very good !! Work well. But not enough 4x4 design, like xj ,tj, trucks would be nice

Best one. This is one of the best ones I've found. I just wish it wasn't so geared towards jeeps. Cool guys don't drive jeeps, they drive full size Chevys. Make one of the vehicle options a 1980's full size GM and this will be the best app ever!

Why. I'm tired of everything revolving around one or two types of jeeps there are many different jeeps on the trails not just Jks and so forth so why not include the zj's and the xj's and so forth. Cool app but doesn't have my jeep in it

UNSAFE, not for driving, TOY. Do you really believe I can read the compass or numbers while driving? What is this warning about safe driving at the start of the program for? did you read it yourself yet? I wish huge numbers and graphical inclination exaggeration. Absolutely unreadable in dashboard distance. Not for vehicles! age 4-12

Vehicle Clinometer. The graphics on this tiltmeter app. bury all the others. It's just like the one on my old 4Runner except with all the modern GPS features. Very cool! Works perfectly. Great App!

I love it.. I use it my land rover. I'm assuming the stock warnings are set for jeep. My land rover can do much more than a jeep can.

Marketing ploy. I actually paid money for this app. Several years ago, after buying a new soft top for my Jeep. First, I REALLY feel you should not be required to pay for it after you give them hundreds of dollars for their product (They could easily include a code w/ the product - Or, a great idea, provide a code when the product is registered!) Anyway, the app. hasn't been updated for ~ 4 years! I realize they could possibly feel they don't need to improve the app., but w/ the improvements that are coming out every year among mobile phones, that's an ignorant perception. Now Apple is moving on to 64bit only. Basically, with the absence of updating, it's quickly becoming obsolete/ worthless. If Smittybilt is going to REQUIRE the purchase of this app. (Not provide it free of charge to customers), then they have an obligation to update it. I'm just asking that Smittybilt support their product from which revenue was made. I've personally experienced where they do care about customer service and their products. But they're apparently letting this one fall from their "Product line". And lastly, yes, I fully understand it was "Only" a buck or two to purchase it. But if you consider the number of customers who purchase the app., compared to the amount of money it would take for an update, it very likely comes out as a large net profit.

Great app but.... You can't change the tilt numbers. I'm not sure but it might be because I'm running ios4.

Cool tool. This is a steal for $.99! The physical ones are at least 5 time as much and you can’t even change it up. I haven’t seen a new review and wanted to try it out. It’s safe to say that this is much better than buying one from Amazon and especially from your local 4x4 store. This thing is timeless. Look at how long ago the dev did anything to this app. This came out in 2017 and it’s still going strong without changes. $.99 folks, remember when almost every app out there was $.99? This one still is and it’s worth more than that.

Very Very Cool App. I love this app! I always wanted to buy a clinometer for my TJ, but did not want to have one of those big bulky things on my dash. One minor suggestion, it would be cool if future versions allowed the app to run horizontal. Nice work!

Great app!! One suggestion though. One suggestion, y'all need to add a basic pickup truck for one of the vehicles, not brand specific, there are many who use this app who do drive trucks

Great App but could very easily be even better. This app's function is great. The only reason I didn't give the app 5 stars is the lack of vehicle choices. With the overwhelming amount of Jeep JK's, CJ's TJ's on the road it might be good idea to add these.

Needs additional vehicles. Not a bad app but I would like to see additional vehicles, specifically a H1 & H2 Hummer. I belong to a national hummer club and would be willing to spread the word about this app if you add the H1, H2 and H3

Accurate.. I used it over the weekend at Rausch creek. Worked well and was accurate. Need a firm good mount for the iPhone. 4 stars till they give me an XJ though.

The pitch doesn't work. If the app worked then I would give it 5 stars. It's fine for just a couple bucks EXCEPT for that the pitch meter is broken. Only goes from 0'-180'. That's dumb. I tried to delete and reinstall but that didn't work. Please fix this bug. Then everyone can buy it with piece of mind. (the roll meter works great but I want the whole app to work)

Now it's perfect. This is a very useful app that also looks great. With the addition of the "disable auto lock" feature it now has, it's phenominal!

Great app. Lovin this app. Wish I could change the jeep to a TJ though. I don't know why Hummer guys expect it to have a Hummer option, Smittybilt makes Jeep parts.

Clinometer awesome!. Love it! Audible alerts work great! Good zero function, compass matches hand held true! Gps is great! LIKE TO SEE: speed on main screen not only on pop up.

Bug found. Great app, except when forward/back warning angle reached the readings go crazy, losing angle accuracy. Smoothing is not an acceptable solution to this bug. Would also like to see a $.99 version for non-GPS devices.
