Game changer!. I got this app quiet a while ago but I didn’t see any use for it in the beginning. Recently, there was an update (or already I noticed it recently) which made importing filter lists easier which is a game changer. I could do a ton of stuff which I can’t do in safari. As I use it more, this app has a treasure trove of features and is regularly updated. I’d say money we’ll spend! The sheet number of customization is amazing!

Great Developer Response. After doing the latest update yesterday, the app would crash on startup. I contacted the developer. Within a couple of hours he had discovered the fix and replied back. He submitted a new update to Apple which was published this afternoon. Now, everything is working great. That's great developer response for a great app! Highly recommend!

Best mobile browser I’ve come across. This browser has all the bells and whistle ‘s! I’m not very technical but I’ve never had a problem using it to do anything I needed you. I love this app and I would suggest it to anybody, thank you Dev!

Goodbye Safari crashes, awkward ux, repressed options. This thing is Amazing. It can handle all pages with out using all the phones memory, it is super efficient. Goodbye Safari’s crashes and reloads due to crappy coding and careless memory management. The Ux is simple and obvious, you can have tabs like you wanted them, and not having too reboot after all Safari mem leaks. Unlike other small browser it renders all pages and plays all videos properly. Tons of options to block pops, advertisements and scams. You have full control, with tons of options for networking, websites etc. Unbelievable that one person did this. Not going back to safari, hope Apple learns and goes back to quality driven by developers vs politics and rigid/stagnant process driven by “designers” and politics.

Vers. 10.0.3 No Filter Exceptions & Blocks Web Pages. My first review was somehow deleted. The latest updates block a lot of pages with filters. In settings, I cannot find what filters are doing the blocking. When I attempt to create filter exceptions they do not work. The option to have iCab create a permanent filter exception has been removed. It has become difficult to use iCab to browse the way I used to.

Getting buggier. Let me preface this review by saying that I've used this browser for a few years and it's been great... until recently. Maybe it is because the progression of iOS versions are breaking things, but iCab doesn't always work now, and the settings are becoming too complicated. I frequently get timeout messages when clicking on the result of a search. Some pages freeze. The developer is very nice and puts a lot of time into this, but when the suggestions are things like "try disabling filters" or "use the modern Web engine, not classic", that is a sign that there are perhaps TOO many settings that people really shouldn't need to know about. If Safari opens a page and iCab doesn't, that tells you something is wrong. I tried Edge and it actually isn't too bad.

The best IOS Browser out there period. I can't say enough of how awesome this browser is. Just the rich options for the interface alone would earn it five stars IMHO. But the other features it provides makes it hands down the best out there at any price.

Crashes, Tabs don’t load, Memory Drain. (Note To Devs: If you Add Encrypted Password Protected Bookmarks, I will literally spend another $10 and give you 5 stars haha) Now to my issues; If you open too many tabs you will never be able to open the app again without it crashing. All tabs will be lost indefinitely since you’re forced to go to iPhone iCab Settings and Logout Users or reinstall the app. Activating “Delay loading background tabs” fixes this but then some background tabs will fail to load unless you close them, copy the link, and send another web request through another Tab. My previous problem was with the tabs container, it will always annoyingly asks if you want a private tab or new tab. People concerned with privacy have far better mechanisms in place than “private tabs” and people unconcerned with privacy are continuously annoyed.

Best browser. I have been using iCab for several years and never wrote a review. My mistake. This browser is better than all the rest. Try it. You will not be sorry. It is fast and reliable. It also gets regular updates and customer service is great.

Great browser with two important suggestions. 1. It needs a dedicated night mode like in Opera. Simply being able to lower the lighting isn't enough because only the main browsing is affected. Search and settings pop back to full luminosity. 2. An option to be created for the actions menu to allow easy whitelisting of sites for cookies.

Great Web Browser. I’ve been using this browser for a few years now, and it’s better than the name-brand browsers for your iDevice. The many ways the app allows you to customize your browsing toolset is amazing. The developer listens to feedback as well, and there are updates as needed.

user agent doesn’t work. I bought this app to use the browser agent so i could edit my website from my ipad. Unfortunately, changing my device type to mac our windows or linux kept me locked out off my web admin tools. Also the user interface is dated and just not good. There are features like quickstart that have no setup and no explanation. consider updating your icons and UI elements to be more in line with modern standards or at the very least give users an option to do so. Also create an onboarding experience that explains some of the features of iCab. If browser agents are a key feature to you, i would advise against purchasing this app. It really needs a major revamp overall. It feels like someone who doesn’t know or care about designing interfaces for mobile made this app. 2/5 would not recommend

Fantastic Flexibility. Excellent alternative for those times when Apple's Safari browser just won't cut it. This app has more options that I will ever use, but it is comforting to know they are all there waiting, just in case. The Connected podcast team gushes about this app on a recent podcast (Apr. 3, 2019 episode, ~ 15 minutes before the end) if you are interested.

Superb!. Paid for it 10 years ago, a decade later I still receive free updates! This is the closest browser on iOS to give similar desktop experience. A true swiss army knife. If others can't, iCab can! Developer constantly updates and very responsive.

The absolute best. Have been using Icab for 3 years, and it is without a doubt, pretty much flawless. Very safe, conveniently updated and improved, just light years ahead of competition. Perfect for IPad and mobile. Can’t compliment the developers enough. Get it, you won’t regret it!

A great app!!!. Okay so I don't even know where to begin lol. I am totally blind and use this app with Voiceover. I love how accessible it is, and that the creator of this app bothered thinking of us, as many do not think to make apps accessible with voiceover. First of all, you can customize what commands you want to use for gestures and bluetooth keyboards. I use a bluetooth keyboard and so this is awesome. I notice when I have the option to add a new command, it's the same options that already have commands generally. Hoping for new ones in the future. I also like that there's a download manager so I can download anything I might need. I sent an email with some questions to the developer and he was quick to get back to me with answers, and also very patient haha. He has already offered to fix a bug I discovered unintentionally involving Voiceover and brightness. Apparently when you turn brightness down to 0 on the app, Voiceover is unable to read it. This makes me wonder why I can adjust brightness to 0 on my IPad itself. Maybe 0 isn't really 0 on the ipad? Anyway there is more I could add but this message is too long as it stands. Haha. Keep up the awesome work. Hope this app never gets abandoned like so many have in the past.

Scrolling broken on many web pages. Every day I use this browser, which was a PAID app, I encounter web pages that I simply cannot scroll on, no matter how much I swipe up and down. This is a major flaw! It seems mainly to occur on news sites. Please fix it! How can it be that a reputable mobile browser has a flaw that prevents you from browsing the web??!!?!

Just keeps getting better. I’ve been using this app for several years, across multiple phones, and it regularly comes out with new releases that improve it. But even if it didn’t; even if it were only updated to be usable on each new phone and version of iOS that came out, it would still be the most feature-filled, customizable browser by far. I’m a power user and a developer, so I appreciate being able to customize layouts exactly how I want them. But I’m also lazy, so I appreciate not having to! This app provides a great experience for users who just want a great browser but don’t want to fiddle (I only used the user agent setting for the first couple years) but empowers you to power it up when you choose to. Even with Safari finally having “extensions,” iCabMobile still reigns supreme.

Wonderful app. In an era where every application is competing over how many features it can remove, iCab proudly offers you the ability to configure it however you want. Move menus, Set Filters, and use a browser that respects that its OK for us to have different preferences.

Only browser with “Bookmark all tabs” feature. I’m dumbfounded that this alone doesn’t exist in all mobile browsers. It’s such a killer feature for productivity, focus, and keeping sessions clean and organized. Not to mention performance. How many times have you used mobile Chrome or Firefox to find yourself with infinite ([:)]) tabs open? I use OneTab all the time on my Mac. Now with iCabMobile and its killer Firefox Sync and Dropbox Sync features, I can maybe get some work done on my phone when I finally stand up, move, and get away from my laptop, and not feel like I’m living in two different unsynchronized worlds when I have to go back. 5 stars! Keep working. I hope this team stays supported.

Just doesn’t work. It claims to do much more than it actually does and really fails to do a lot. Cannot render consistently. For example, google docs tables turn into a dead block the crashes the app whenever simply trying to place the cursor there. The other comments about strange blocks and fields that seem to be random are very true. It would be amusing if it weren’t so painful. Apparently a lot of people have had a lot of luck using it for something specific though I can’t imagine that lasted long. Good luck.

Since earliest days of Mac and iOS!. iCab has been around since the earliest days of the Mac and iOS and it seems to have matured leaps and bounds. I spent the last two hours just pouring through all of the deep, deep settings that allow you to configure this browser to do literally everything you can imagine. Not for the casual browser crowd - of course you can ignore the infinite options, but if you spend time tailoring your experience you are greeted with what I’d call your personal Internet. Dark mode is awesome... full screen browsing is immersive and impressive especially on the newest huge screens. I didn’t know half the search providers supported even existed. If you are a tech-saavy human, this is the browser for you. Kudos iCAB!!!

Love it!!. So before I even downloaded the app the developer answered some questions of mine, which I really appreciated! I’ve used the app for a bit now and I love it so much! My downloads are saved on the app, I can do split view, you can add accounts, and so many other things! So stop reading the reviews and download the app already!!!

Finally a replacement for Atomic Web. This is quite honestly one of the best browsers for iOS out there right now. It has incredibly granular customization and doesn’t feel like a gimped desktop browser, unlike the mobile versions of Firefox & Chrome. I’ve been looking for something to fill the browser sized hole left in my heart after Atomic Web stopped updating, and this is definitely it. One thing I will say is, some people might not be willing to take the $2 leap of faith, maybe offer a free version with locked features? Definitely my new daily mobile browser!

Still the BEST!. After relying on iCab as my go-to browser for years, I'm ashamed to admit that I've apparently never reviewed it on the App Store. It is simply the most feature-rich iOS browser available. And it seems to display as fast as Safari. (The only thing it can't do is automatically drag-and-drop web links into Notability, something Safari manages.) Otherwise, iCab is unbeatable! Before purchasing any add-on utility, be sure iCab doesn't already offer that capability!

The best browser you’re not using. iCab Mobile always continues to impress me. Yes, you could use Safari, but look at all the things you’re missing: full screen mode, browser ID spoofing (awesome feature), file downloads, 1Password/Dropbox/every other app integration, draw gestures, multi-touch, view source, and more. This is the power user’s browser. If you want to control how you surf or are a web developer, you need iCab Mobile.

10 Stars for iCab Mobile!. Love iCab Mobile! It has so many features it’s amazing. Adblocking is one of my favorites. The Modules feature has a plethora of tools you can use with the page you’re viewing. You can tweak everything—tabs, font size, ad blocking, clear history and cookies, and on and on. Highly recommend iCab Mobile for iPad!

Still my browser of choice on iOS. It’s not the only browser with tabs on iOS, but it has a bunch of useful features under the hood. I also like the ability to customize the toolbars. I often wish I could set it to my default browser, but of course Apple wants Safari as the default Browser, probably for security reasons.

One big flaw, else could be 5 stars. I’ve used this browser almost exclusively over the years but from year one they still have a huge bug which they have not fixed: If you get to a complex page and you turn sideways and back the iPhone (to switch between vertical and horizontal views) the browser eventually crashes. This is very annoying and has not been fixed for years.

Anyone who is looking for the most feature filled power browser, with things within its settings that will not only blow your mind but continue to as you’ll never have enough time to really dive into each and every feature and tool that it offers….then this is the one for you! 😀 It was definitely for me.

Superb: Mercedes Benz of browers: luxurious options, fast, secure. Default setup works well; complex tailoring available. Epic bookmarking. Quick iCloud sync. Superb support—worth “extra generous tip”. Use tracking filters WITH CARE! Take it for a spin. (I hope someday Spple allows change of “default browser”.”)

The BEST alternative browser in the AppStore. I used to run iCab on my Mac back in the day, when I was also running Atomic Browser. Both were VERY configurable, and as time and OS upgrades passed I missed both & moved on... Recently I’ve been looking for a browser that has as configurable UI, like a “dark theme” because white toolbars & backgrounds are just plain eyeburn. So I revisited iCab, and dropped US$2. I’m NOT disappointed at all, iCab is wicked quick and plays well with AdGuard Pro. Even if you don’t have an outside Ad/Tracker blocking solution, iCab can help out there too. ICab has something for everybody, including power users and everything you set is (optionally) synced via iCloud or whatever service you use. I tried the rest (Chrome, Brave, FireFox) and this is the best.

An unappreciated browser. Like most I’ve tried my share of browsers but this is by far the most versatile and powerful browser on the market. From the speed and stability to the ability to upload and download files and videos nothing compares to it.

I don’t know how a third party browser is faster than Safari, but it is.. Speed isn’t everything, but iCab is actually faster than Safari. On top of that, it has a number of extra features that make it a little more stable and potentially more useful than Safari or any of the other third party browsers I know of on the App Store. I could probably find something to dislike if I tried, but I like it too much to try.

Don’t pay! File upload no better that Safari. Bought this app out of hours of frustration trying to upload a PDF file on this super expensive ‘Pro’ ipad. I tried the ‘iCab’ upload setting and moving files into the iCab folder. Nothing works. Wasted my money, wish their was a trial version. I can see the files I want to upload but they are all greyed out same as in Safari??? I really don’t get why simple tasks are so hard on iOS.

Really good privacy!. Best incognito mode! “forgets” on exit. Does not open Facebook, Twitter or other apps. This is really good if you want to keep things private. If you open Facebook, it does not open the Facebook app when you look at Facebook messages. You can see/messages without using Facebook messenger. Awesome job.

Love both Desktop and mobile with one exception. For the life of me I cannot get the bookmarks from my desktop to sync with the mobile version. Mobile version works fine but I have to manually enter every URL. Possible to make an import bookmarks for “dummies” video on your You Tube channel? I have tried iCloud sync and trying to manually import but can get neither option to work.

Consistently amazing. Alexander does it again and again. iCab Mobile is the single most sophisticated and full featured browser available for iOS, a title that it has held for years. With support for the modern web engine (which is admittedly flakey, but this is not under the control of the app developer) iCab Mobile takes the browsing experience to another level. Support for many advanced uses and web apps makes this browser one of, if not the, most important apps I have today. I would happily pay a monthly subscription for this browser.

Shame on developer to rip off posing as watch browser. Is this some kind of joke? Why does it show as Watch Browser app. It is remote control from watch. I should have donatex these $2 for charity. With Google app n Safari- who uses this dump. All reviews are seemingly paid. Does anyone actually use this stone age app in these times- ya right. Edit: is it that small? Well Samsung Gear has it. What is the functional efficacy or actual utility of this remote. Remove it from the watch browser category n stop luring unsuspecting users.

Review-Latest update- iCab is what every iOS web browser should aspire to be. I decide to give you kudos by giving your Mobile Web browser a full 5 stars. Thank you very much for still supporting many older, legacy iDevices amd legacy iOS version. It is still much needed and I am glad that your Web browser is still supported on iOS 8 and above. Your Web browser is still one of the great ones after all of these years! The missing app to your iPad only experience. There are a select few out there wanting to go ipad only and a lot of things get in the way of this lifestyle choice. iCab brings you one step closer by giving you a Browser that can actually load sites the way you need them for a true desktop experience on a browser. Just go for it and take the time to learn some of the nuances that may be different but once you get it, it’s worth it.

Desktop-Class Browser. This is hands-down the most powerful browser available for the iPhone or iPad. It has all the features and abilities of a full-fledged desktop browser. There’s been so many times I wanted to do something that’s easily done on a desktop, looked and found the exact same feature in iCab. The browser supports downloading and installing additional ad-blocking and privacy scripts, making it one of the safest browsers to use. Unlike Brave, it also supports excellent syncing options for mobile-only workflows. In addition, the developer is extremely responsive and helpful.

Download Superstar. After apple removed almost all their downloaders for video, I was actually stuck to find something that was adequate to fill the void. This browser is it. If you’re like me and want an incredible web browser...... don’t even hesitate the $1.99 Is more than well worth it.

Pretty great, one problem. Much better than it used to be, pretty much the best browser for iOS at this point in my opinion, although it still has one major problem: every few weeks it randomly slips into “private mode“ and forgets all your tabs. That’s really annoying. Other than that, it’s my browser of choice.

Best browser. iCab is the best browser. No other browser offers the many features and options that iCab has. And it has an excellent user interface that looks good and is easy to use for both novices and experts. The developer responds quickly when I have questions, too. There is an option to pay a tip to the developer, and I used it last night to show my appreciation.

Great browser. Most mobile browsers are plain vanilla, this one’s not. Lots of customizable features and options. It’s my most used mobile browser, by far. Plus, the developer is accessible and always improving things.

Amazingly good. I’d really love integration of third party system level adblockers. I’d gladly pay for it too!$$ The ads are sealing through, and your copy last filters are no longer cutting it. ————-old review I customized the hell out of this app to make it my own. I really love it. I thought adblocking would be bad since it’s not using the systems installed one like safari can do, but it’s copy paste filters work great for everything I’ve seen thus far. I love the different profiles too. There are very few apps as customizable as this. I hope the dev continues to do good by us. I’d happily pay more for added features or something to help him to since this is such a useful tool for me.

Love it but 12.3 problem. iOS 12.3 seems to have broken the URL / search input field. When text is entered to attempt to do a Google (or whatever) search, or when entering a URL, instead the current page is searched like a “find” command. A failed “search in page” message box pops up in either case which leaves you and the browser dead in the water. You can still select from your bookmarks but that’s about it. Can’t type in anything new, unless you manually add a bookmark for a search engine or something else. I have not been able to fix this by changing anything in settings, not even “combined URL+Search Field”. This is a real show stopper with the 12.3 update. The other problem I have always had is that on older style textual “bulletin board” type forums that involve lots of hyperlinks up and down the page, iCab usually doesn’t “Go to” the right place when you click a link; in other words it goes to the wrong message which is a bit annoying. It sometimes returns to a previously visited link and in other cases seems to go some fixed percentage of the way up or down the page. So I have to do a whole bunch of manual scrolling to get to the right place and this is constantly! Even given the above, iCab is still pretty much the only browser I’ll use on iOS (but the URL field problem has to be fixed pronto!)

Wow! Great Browser!. Easily the best, most comprehensive iOS browser. Many exist before, but especially after you upgrade there are a myriad of useful options and services. And after you upgrade the browser flows much more smoothly.

Crazy amount of customization very cool browser. I haven't used this app nearly as much as I could but it's able to stand on its own next to the big dogs. If you aren't a little bit nerdy you might think there's too many options but in my view this is one of the most beautiful piece of work you can find.

My favorite iPad browser so far.... iCab is a wonderful browser for the iPad, it brings the best of the desktop browsers and combines those features with a few of their own, including; tabs, full screen, plugins, view source, timed private browsing, password memory, downloading of files etc. Highly recommended.

Very ugly app icon. Great browser, does text reflow which is the most important feature to make a browser usable on an ios device, this is the second best ios browser after mercury pro. 4 stars from me because of the fact that it's got the most UGLY app icon in the world ! Mr developer : don't u really think it's about time u gave ur app a good looking icon which might also look like a web browser icon?? I seriously hide ur app inside a folder coz it's that ugly - and u really need to have an icon that indicates to the purpose of the app so it needs to look like a web browser's icon . Example : an earth icon

Dr. This app is very sophisticated, easy to use, and thoughtfully improved regularly. Reminds me of a high powered comfortable car. It has many many options which can make it daunting at first but indispensible once you master them. I have 4 browsers each one unique, but none do overall what iCab does. Its outstanding feature is the after sales service and updating.

Best browser UI. Enjoyed using iCab on iOS. Nicest UI, lots of very fun and useful options. Have ditched Atomic in favour of this. Crashes a lot on imgur & reddit, reloads tabs like mad once it gets into low memory, then just persists doing that until you poke it in the eye. Slightly better than Safari, but at least Safari doesn't bail out when I have 3 tabs open at once. Keep trying, please!

What a mobile browser should be. This browser is well worth the purchase. I am not one to buy many apps but it truly is worth the purchase. The best features are by far the ability to use normal upload forms, manage downloads and modify the header. The downloads can be transferred back through via iTunes to a PC, so it really adds a file storage element to the device from the web. It has about 35 modules / add ons that can be utilized such as view source, save to different formats and send in different formats. The modules are one section in the options menu which is probably about 15 sections of settings all up. The sheer number of options will blow you away. It matches a standard browser and then some. Full screen works well as you get small semi-transparent icons spread out across the screen and it is easy to use. I could seriously go on about this browser but you should just grab it. Do recommend.

Awesome. I got this app a few hours ago and man I've only done half of the things you can do with this app. There's so many different things. Hundreds of useful options and a lot faster loading then safari highly recommend it best browser ever must have!

Superior to Safari. This browser is simply superior to Safari in every possible way! Love the amount of customizability in the settings and the inclusion of gestures just rules. One thing I'd like to see is an option to customize the sensitivity in horizontal scrolling as it's a bit odd when scrolling up and down but there's a bit of horizontal scrolling that occurs at the same time - a tad off putting. But a minor complaint given the myriad of features that Safari does not offer!

This is my go to iOS browser. Hands down the best browser on iOS. I have been using iCab Mobile as my go to browser on iPhone and iPad for some years. It is well supported with good regular feature updates. Evenso others don't come close to its feature set and can only play catch-up, if ever.

My favorite iPad browser. This is now my favorite iPad browser. Similar in features to Atomic but now the icon and general look is much better than Atomic. Dropbox support is totally sweet too. Can't wait for when iPad has iOS 4.x so this app can multitask.

Lots of problems now!. Don't know what happened to this app. It was great but after the latest update things went to hell. icab won't scroll smoothly, stopping every second or so as you scroll up or down pages (VERY annoying). Also it won't go back to google with the back arrow, just sits there not loading. Pity, because it was a great app. Hope the dev fixes these issues and makes it great again. I'll be looking for another browser, or maybe I'll just go back to Safari. I would normally not give a single star to an app, I always give the dev's a chance to fix issues but these problems have been going on for ages, I really think it time for the dev to pull their finger out and fix the problems with this app!

By far the best ipad browser. I must say, I'm wrapped. This is by far the best web browser for ipad that i've found. a word of advice though, it takes a bit getting used to and the settings for the app are very extensive, i found i didn't really start enjoying the app until i'd got all of the settings just the way I like them. but two thumbs from me nonetheless, definitely worth more than two bucks!

Phenomenal. This browser has a lot of incredible features for the power user, but still stays easy to use. Makes the browser into a powerful work tool. By far the best browser I have tried (and I've tried a lot!)

Terrific for Torrents. I was looking for an easy way to start torrents downloading on my Mac from my iPad. iCab Mobile plus Transmission turned out to be the perfect solution. With iCab I can actually download files to the iPad. Then I can easily upload the downloaded torrent file to Transmission through the web app. Loooooooove it. Thank you iCab!

Okay, but crashes 4/10 times. I have used iCab Mobile now for a month as I read a number of positive reviews and was disenfranchised with Google Chrome and apple safari. Well anyway, the browser is okay, if a little complicated, but the issue I have and why I have stopped using it, is because it crashed four out of ten times. The fundamentals need to be right, and I don't see this program as having the fundamentals.

Best iOS Browser available. As part of a university trial, I tested all the top rating iOS browsers head to head on an iPhone4 and iPad2. They were evaluated for performance, stability, features, 3rd-party app integration, user-friendliness, customisation options, customer support and value for money. Using those criteria, iCab mobile came out on top in nearly every category, making it the clear overall winner. iCab was by far the most stable of all browsers tested, and cleaned up the competition when it came to customisation options. Every single bit of iCab can be customised to your needs, with a massive list of user-friendly options and plugins available. Being able to rearrange button layout and button transparency in both regular AND full-screen views is a good example of how it can be customised exactly to your needs. Safari is already a great inbuilt browser, but it simply lacks the power and polish of a fully featured alternative like iCab. Dropbox support, custom gestures, Firefox syncing of bookmarks, tabs and history, it's all there, using an interface which will seem instantly familiar and friendly. If you don't buy this, I can't put into words how much you are missing out on! :)

Love it. Does everything as stated, reliably and painlessly. Best points, Painless full screen browsing, download from ALL links and has a handy little javascript plug-in system. Great Browser. I have found this to be a good browser when needing to open multiple tabs (when searching for a flatmate for example). I love the tap and hold a link so you get the option of open in new tab. I have just two gripes- searching via google is a bit difficult. Really should be more like safari. - full screen mode is great, but I wish you could hide the buttons or make them transparent. The grey corners are annoying.

Great App... Just one issue!. Overall iCab has a great feel and the hooks into other applications is a welcome feature, and will keep he using it! However, one issue is the clip function with Evernote (*a great tool!) is very slow and in sone cases requires a reset of iCab. If you could fix this then it would be a 5/5 for me.

Needs proper ad blocking. Very impressed with this browser! Would have given it 5 stars if it had proper ad blocking like Atomic Web. Has a fantastic set of plugins. The built in filters don't block anywhere near enough ads. Love the bookmark import through Dropbox feature although I had to figure out how it works.

Perfect. Forget Safari & the new Chrome if you have an iPad this kills them both. More options and features than both put together. However I still prefer Safari on my iPhone as he UI is less cluttered on the smaller screen.

Upgrade removes critical proxy feature. Upgrading removed the ability to control your proxy, the only reason I paid for this app. Couldn’t be less happy about this

Fantastic safari replacement. Very well done. Has almost all the features missing from safari that I wanted and no big drawbacks. Works around safari's annoying refresh problem when you have more than 3 tabs (makes safari horrible!) Things that could help: * turn tabs that aren't viewed recently into offline pages to reduce memory consumption (allows for more tabs). * gestures to switch tabs would be nice. Otherwise, fantastic job and the best browser in the store (I've tried them all!)

Best web browsing app that keeps on giving. I have been using iCabMobile since the first original iPad, and iPhone 5. The developer continues to add features and update, packed with all kind of abilities needed to browse Internet like a boss. Multi account, split view, saving media inside browser, showing all images, and a lot more. Thanks for iPhone X update fixing the browser bar!

Excellent app. Very useful. The downloads feature is worth the price of the app alone! No issues of crashing. For the other reviewers it could be because their device's memory is full or needs to be restarted. A common problem and easily fixed. I use this on both the iPad and iPhone (with iOS 5.0.1).

Perfect replacement for safari. When it opened I thought it was safari - but it's faster and you can upload documents to onto the web from an iPad!!! Only thing is that the logo you click on to access the app is yellow and would look nicer as a standard browser app color like blue. That's a minor thing for what you get. Truly worth it, and I'm picky.

Fully Featured. iOS web browser that deserves a lot more attention than it gets, I have been using this for years and haven't found another browser that offers the amount of functionality and customizability that this one does. The only shortcomings I have are with the limitations of the WebKit browser engine itself, such as lack of flash and webm support. The download manager is extremely useful and the customizability of the UI is second to none.

This is what safari should have been. Huge amount of customizable features and appearance options. Unbeatable download tool and it saves or sends web pages. It just seems a little slower than safari but its grown up feature set makes it a no brainier. Don't know what Atomic and Mercury were thinking recently, but at least iCab still does almost everything you could want. Especially good on the pad.

Don’t waste your money. Worst app I’ve ever bought. Crashes on both my old iPad Air and my new iPhone XS, so its not my hardware. Even if I restart the iPad it still crashes. I’ve even tried uninstalling the app and losing all my downloads for nothing. When it does rarely work it’s a great app, but only for a few minutes at a time. Why can’t we rate zero stars ?

Brilliant - at last a true Safari replacement. This is the browser I've been looking for on my iPad. It looks like desktop Safari and has most of the features of the desktop browser ported to the iPad version - downloads, easy bookmark import/export, options to open in background tabs, a quicklaunch window. It's an elegant, full featured but uncluttered interface with a couple of very clever interface tricks to access often used features. A lot of thought has gone into this browser. You shoold try it. It's streets ahead of Atomic, which I used for a few months. And at last, something has come along to permanently displace Safari. What a find!

Best browser on iOS. This is hands down the best browser for power users. Now supports Lastpass integration, which is main reason I bought the new iPad Air. Also has a heap of other modules and features. All third party browsers are slower than Safari due to not being able to use Nitro, however my tests show iCab sun spider on the iPad Air is as fast as Safari was on the iPad 3/4 so it is not that bad.

Best iOS web browser hands down. Worth every penny, I will actually pay more for the amount of functionality that I am getting Let's see 1. Universal app 2. Dropbox sync for bookmarks 3. Password protection and guest account 4. Private browsing 5. Wifi connection from your pc to retrieve your downloaded files and bookmarks 6. Downloading files!!!! Better han Safari, Opera and Atom combined (I have them all). Some bits and pieces also that I noticed that makes it a very enjoyable browsing experience. Only downside I can think off is the way the tabs are handled in the iphone (I prefer the ipad version). This could be because of the screen limitation however I would love to be given the option to set this.

Great Browser!. This is a great browser for google reader. I love the full screen mode for reader. I also really like the tabs they come up very fast when called. This is how safari should be! Worth every penny.

Best browser in the App Store. As with the other reviewers, I tried other browsers first and always went back to safari after half an hour or so. Not so with iCab. It's fast, the tabs are amazing, and the ability to change to way the browser identifies itself is fantastic when you don't want to get stuck with the crappy mobile formatted site. This is one of the first non-Apple apps to have a permanent home in my dock! On that note, the icon just doesn't blend in with the stock icons. That's my only criticism of this great app (and it's a petty one) so its getting 5 stars.

Great app. This is an amazing browser with soooo much customisation available, there are two things I would ask to be changed though. 1. The icon for quickstart bookmarks should be able to be changed so that it can have the websites logo or whatever 2. The tabs icon should be changed around so that it’s easier to switch tabs with one hand, especially on the iPhone X it’s quite high up

The BEST browser. Honestly, I’m a hardcore web navigator. I can not praise this tool or the developer enough. He’s very responsive! This would easily be in my top 5 must have apps! Best iOS browser I've ever used. I was a big fan of a different iOS browser for many years but recently discovered iCab Mobile. It is - hands down - the best iOS browser I've ever used....and I've tried virtually everything on the market at some stage. What I love about iCab Mobile is its configurability. You can basically configure everything and that makes a massive difference to how usable a mobile browser becomes in everyday usage. I used to prefer jumping on my MacBook Pro for heavy browsing but with iCab Mobile, I feel right at home browsing for long periods at a time. If you're looking for a full-featured, fast browser with great support from the dev, look no further than iCab Mobile. EDIT (after updates): still the best iOS browser I've ever used and the dev is remarkably responsive to help and feature requests.

Intermittent stalling. An amazing browser I purchased and have been using on and off since iPad 1. It offers so much it’s difficult to criticise, but now it may be playing poorly with the new iOS 11. I’m experiencing unrelated and non repeatable stalls on occasion, requiring closing app to clear up. I utilise many gestures and tabs on Pro 10.5. No issues with other apps or browsers. Hopefully I’m not the only one and the matter can be pinpointed and addressed. I wish I could be more helpful, but there is no one specific thing triggering the instability for me.

Overload of Goodness 😄. I tried iCab browser a couple years ago. It was better than safari (not hard) but I wasn't overly impressed. Since that time I've been an avid Mercury browser fan due to its abundant and excellent features. However with their most recent update which looked very nice but actually REMOVED some of my favourite features (what was they thinking?), I decided to venture out again to see what was on offer. Had a quick squiz at Atomic but that was about on par with Mercury. I thought, hey I'll give iCab another go... Omigosh, blow my mind! Couldn't believe how much it's been changed and improved within 2 years. The new features and versatility leave all the other browsers dead in the water! Tabs, Readability, iCloud sync, modules, loads of gestures, and lots more. So needless to say I jumped the mercury ship and am now cruising the iCab. It's a smooth ride 😎

Fantastic!. I've been using Atomic browser for over a year, found it to be all that was advertised, but lately have had regularly used websites repeatedly crashing while trying to load. No help from the developer and is no longer supported on Australian iTunes. I researched another alternative to Safari, came up with iCab and can say it is as good as Atomic in most ways and a lot better in many others. If anyone is looking for an alternative for Safari, this is where to go. I only give 4 stars because 5 would be perfect, and nothing is perfect.😉

Great browser!. Like all the other reviewers, I’ve tried all the others and Icab has become my default browser. So many features and I’m still growing into the browser and finding more and more features that I use everyday. Now I just wish there was something like icab on the PC :)

Top notch!. Anyone looking for a robust Internet experience on their iPad would be wise to grab this. Safari is ok, but icab does things I want a web browser to do (except flash of course lol which I can't blame this program for but still it docks it a star). Full screen browsing, plug-ins, tabs, easy history and search options, private browsing and most importantly it will download any file off the net and turns your device into a portable hard drive. I hate spending cash on apps, even a buck, when I don't have to, but this was just a no-brainer! You will wonder how you got along without it.

Really neat but UNUSABLE!. I find this is a really neat browser, well designed, neat looking, features that match those of full-fledged PC browsers and way ahead of Safari, but... It crashes at every single page as soon as I start scrolling or click on something! Sometimes it even crashes after it is done loading a page before I even touch anything. So, I am giving it as low a rating as possible because I consider that it does not work. It is like a luxury car with no engine or a figure skater with no legs... Useless!

The Best. This iCab Browser was recommended to me by a third party after experiencing difficulty downloading mp3’s. It has worked flawlessly each time and even seems faster than Safari for my needs. Great App!

The best by far. Icab had one irritating thing that is fixed and it is now so great. I don't know why anyone would use anything else. The interface is as good as a browser interface can be. Absolute best browser for power-users. This app takes a few minutes of customizing the settings, then you have the best browsing experience you've ever had on iOS. You can recreate and correct all of the annoying browsing quirks that safari And chrome have. This is BECAUSE you can customize EVERYTHING: the interface/toolbars, add-ons, context menus, secondary context menus, search engines, app launches, full-screen, search engines, downloads... basically design your own browser based on your unique preferences and do stuff that you can do on a desktop browser (multiple tabs, open/load pages in background, save to WedDAV/dropbox/app, print to PDF). Over the top everything you want browser.. This browser has every feature you could ever think of and you can customize everything. I used to use sleipnir however they never listen to their English customers and I consider it totally inferior for the first time ever after discovering this app. My favorite feature is the large graphical tab display to show thumbnail and detail titles of open tabs where you can also rearrange their order. It will also read off-line webpages if you drag them in in iTunes. On an iPhone 6 S plus I can have 90 tabs open just fine

Exactly what I need. I use icab and chrome. Use icab mainly for downloading and saving pages as PDFs (that I export to google drive). Offers a lot of features. The only suggestion I'd make is for tabs to work similar to chrome's setup.

Great browser. The browser is awesome, it has so many options that one can customize. But I cannot rate it a 5 because it’s not perfect. There is a bug with 3-finger tab option and quick stater page stays bright white in dark mode? As of current, the above issues have been fixed. The app deserves five stars. Bravos!

Safari on steroids. iCab’s level of customization and features is unmatched on iOS / iPadOS. For instance, the layout is fully customizable. This browser may not be for the average Joe, unless pre-configured. However, if you are willing to spend time to tweak your browsing experience, iCab mobile does so much more than other browsers. Some of my favourite features include mobile split view (both portrait and landscape) and filter list support (Easylist, for instance, blocks lots of junk) and its integration with lots of services such as Firefox Sync. iCab Mobile is easily the most complete and customizable third-party browser on iOS / iPadOS. Two thumbs up to iCab Mobile.

Does not reflow text after zooming. I thought this app would be able to automatically reflow text after zooming in or out. It doesn't. And it doesn't do it manually. You can change text size, but it does not reflow. The app seems to do everything else as described. If anyone knows of a browser, other than Chrome or Dolphin, that'll work on the iphone and will automatically reflow text, please reply; thanks.

Excellent browser. I've been using iCab as the go-to browser on my iPads for years now. It's powerful and flexible. It brings a lot more of the features of a 'real' computer app to the iOS version than is the case for the overwhelming majority of such ports. Vielen Dank! I wrote the above a while back. I have to echo what I wrote then. This is a superb iPad app. It has many features lacking in its competition and, in my opinion, is the best iOS browser I have used. Saved forms don't work. I can't get Saved Forms to work. It always says it has no data for that page. I've tried using wildcards, different sites, still no luck.

Excellent alternative to Safari. The most feature rich browser I've ever used. Saves me a lot of time and effort. It feels like a full fledged desktop browser instead of a minimalist app. The developer is excellent at keeping it updated. Definitely worth the small asking price.

Amazing browser. Amazing support. iCab Mobile continues to set the gold standard for the party iOS browsers. Just an amazing app all around. I don't remember how much I paid for it but I'm certain it was too little. Great features and usability and incredibly prompt support. Can't recommend it highly enough. Just an update to say that I fully support the developers new in app purchases. The small price is more than worth it in light of his continued and active development.

Best browser on iOS. iCab is the most excellent browser I've used on iOS. Maybe not for the average user, but definitely for anyone who wants to do more than casually browse the Internet. It has a plethora of features to customize your browsing experience and make it more like the experience of using a desktop browser. Support for lots of (included) plug-ins to accomplish various tasks. Almost everything is customizable, some features can be turned on or off, for just certain websites. On top of that, the developer gave me excellent support when I encountered an issue with the app. (The issue was caused by a bug by Apple, but he suggested a workaround that solved my problem.

Light years ahead of Safari. This is the best iOS browser by far. The amount of options can be overwhelming, but honestly it is incredible how much customization you can gain from this and how many awesome things it can do. Worth every penny!

OK. Not Fantastic.. Safari still seems faster starting up and reloading on an iPhone 3G (not sure on a 3GS). I like the full page mode, and the scroll page is helpful on really long pages (but not really helpful for normal pages). The tabs don't really work like real tabs, just other pages. If it was faster, I'd use it instead of Safari. But I'm back to the native browser for now.

Best browser on iOS!. Update Review # 2: Changed from 1 star to 3 stars For those that are having trouble playing videos, I have found that enabling the option under “Browser” to “Allow autoplay of videos” (and then refreshing any pages) allows the video’s to play without any trouble. *Changed review* Currently, iCab is broken and will not allow you to watch videos. On my phone it seems ok but on my iPad, I usually can’t play the video. This has been broken for a little over a month, likely due to an iOS update. I’ll change my review when the problem is resolved.

Love this browser. Stable and so many config options. Closest thing to a desktop browser you can get for iPhone and iPad. Having different user profiles is a huge plus.

Do not set you search engine to Bing. They have the wrong url for Bing. It won’t load. Use a bookmark if you’re a Bing user. That’s the bug of the month. Unfortunately, all those features come with a cost, complexity and coding errors.

Does not work with X. Edit: Still no fixes. Constantly crashing, becoming unresponsive at random. No longer useful. Deleted the app. Review changed to one star. I’ve had this app for a couple years and it’s been amazing. When I upgraded to iPhone X, however, it really stopped working for me. Crashes all the time and there’s a weird glitch where you can’t follow links. You’ll tap the link and the app will just select the text. Not good.

Robust. Browser with lots of deep & unique features. Installed this probably 7+ years ago (or whenever it first came out) and the developer is consistent in updates and refinements.

Scam. I bought this scam of an app specifically to change font sizes of websites. When I go to the settings that involve font the page is blank. I hit the + at the top and I try and enter +50 % and I get an error about no URL but there is no where to type in a URL and there is no help features available that explains anything about changing the font

Average. I have a work website that does not work on safari. Heard about this and it kind of works. Pages don't fit right. You loose basic functions like copy and paste, but at least I can scroll now.

Still the Best. I put iCab aside for a while since I'd switched away from LastPass to another password manager. Silly me. Of course iCab handles any password manager that iOS supports. As well, it has capabilities that are far beyond Safari. I should never have strayed.

Love this app.. Had it for ages use it often. Will recommend. One issue though, can't seem too adjust text sizes for web pages anymore. So many pages aren't set up for the iPad is really love to have this feature back.

It used to work, but needs updates. I recognize it was Microsoft that made the change, but absent this app updating its strings, it’ll keep aging out as webpages move on (IE 11 is pretty old, as is Edge, but neither are available & Chrome 60 came out 2 years ago. I didn’t pay a lot for this app, but I bought it for a single specific purpose that it can no longer do. I’ll update my review if the app is updated.

Just buy it.. I almost never review apps, but this one is exceptional. If you’re on an iPad and are looking for a browser for power users, this is the one. iCab is like a swiss army knife. Features that impressed me that I can remember offhand: - multi-account support, with face ID auth - sync with third party services like Firefox Sync - customizable user agent — you can use regex matching on the url too - full hotkey and gesture support - nearly full customization of the UI — I can remove clutter, and use my iPad’s screen to its full potential - ... and so much more.

Excellent Secondary Browser. This is an excellent backup browser for sites that act funky in Safari with Content Blockers. Very customizable, great downloaded interface, and can set the User Agent to Desktop. A great power-user browser for iOS.

There is a problem. I didn't open the privacy mode. However, when I quit the program (the application is still running in the background), I immediately found that the pages I opened were all gone.

RECENT UPDATE MAKES ICAB UNUSEABLE. After the latest update, no matter what webpage I attempt tp load, even Google, I get the message “ This web page was blocked because of a filter. Great, but sometimes quirky. ICab is a great iPad browser, which after you’re used to it, is above and beyond Safari in every conceivable way.

Used to be a good app. When I first bought this browser it was the best. I could download anything and everything from anywhere, but now it seems you can’t get it to download anymore. It’s basically another safari now. SAD!

Bookmarks Deleted One Morning. Suddenly the app despite no recent update has slapped a password onto an Administrator account. I had no idea the app had a multiple accounts feature. I can only log on as a guest and all my settings and bookmarks are gone. It demands a password I never set so certainly can never guess.

Web pages no longer load. Developer please contact.. After the latest app update webpages no longer load. A blank black screen just loads. No amount of refreshing seems to work. Had this app for years and this is the only problem I’ve seen so far.

Ok, not great. Doesn’t block ads, which is my greatest problem. Help screen shows up blank when you try to search for help on this topic. I have ad block plus for safari, but can’t seem to import it into iCabMobile. Lots of complicated settings with little or no explanation of what they do. I actually paid for this app and feel like I got ripped off since it seems no better than safari.

Not usable with IOS 11. This was my favorite browser until recent updates. I have tried changing desktop IDs and etc. Went as far as resetting my iPad.... I’ve tested my work sites with other browsers and also gave enough time for developers to fix their app before whining. The browser doesn’t work but I like the app icon. 1 Star!

The best browser for iPhone and iPad. Does everything.. My favorite for several years now. I occasionally try others like Firefox and Dolphin to see if they have followed the lead, but no. ICabMobile still rules for IOS browsers.

perfect tools &nice author. When I use this tools to some website I found that some ads can't be block,so I send an email to author then he reply me!!!! And tell me to add the url to block ads,it really get effective,thanks a lot!!!!!!

Becomes worse with each upgrade !. Now is becoming as useless as Netscape browse in 1992 ! Nothing in reliable, browsing is slow, cookies are not working making identification a real pain in the as… Too bad developper does not take this seriously…

Can’t increase text size. This was recommended to me because it was supposed to have the ability to increase Text size, but that feature is not easy to get to and doesn’t work very well, so this was a pointless purchase.

Freezes. This app freezes more often than any other app I have worked within over the last 5 years.

The user agents are out of date for latest browser versions. Developer got back quickly saying he’d update the user agents and mentioned that can create my own which I didn’t know - awesome support!

Doesn't work , bills even after you uninstall. I don’t know which is worse, the fact that this app automatically and randomly billed me weeks after I had uninstalled it or the fact that it’s nearly impossible to find how to get a refund on the Apple website. Very disappointed

App is either broken or useless. I downloaded this app, and opened it, and it looks like this is a page advertising the app. I could find no functionality on it whatsoever, so I deleted the app, went back into the Apple App Store, re-downloaded it, and it did the same thing.

It's alright. It would be perfect if only it had an option to remove legacy web rtc such as the experimental features in safari. When i'm using a vpn it leaks my ip via web rtc.

Fantastic, secure, all purpose browser. Love this app. I use it for all my web browsing on my iPhone and I’m so grateful to the friend who told me about it. Easy to use, secure, more robust anti spying measures than other browsers and great downloads functionality. Fully unreservedly recommend it.
