Too many bugs. Can't play the pronunciation of vocabulary words. The list goes on. I don't recommend this app to anyone

Farsi lite. Knowing some Farsi. I found it helpful. But some of the words were dated or didn't match up to what the speaker was saying. All in all it's okay. I did like that they have the words written in Persian and English. It helped me with remembering their alphabet.

Useless, low-frequency words in random order. The idea and the interface is great, but this should be used as a vocabulary-building tool for intermediate- and higher-level students rather than a teaching tool for beginners. One word a day is much too slow, and most of the words are useless: this week I've gotten "to be discharged (from a hospital)", "shipment", "commute", and... "seven". Also, the same wordlist (which I strongly suspect was made for Japanese, the original language offered by Innovative) is used for all the languages, which means that some of the entries make sense for Japanese but not for other languages (for example, having "to recieve, to pick up (a telephone)" as a single entry even though they are two unrelated words in Persian). Unfortunately, the translator seems to have stuck to the wordlist given to him a bit too faithfully, resulting sometimes in long or awkward translations, unlike in some of the other WordPower languages where the list was adjusted as necessary to suit each language better. Finally, I sometimes get words that haven't been translated yet. This week one of the words was "language", but where the translation shoul have been it just said "new". Other times there's a translation but no recording. I wonder why they bother to put these unfinished entries in there at all. Again, the app is a great idea and obviously made by a language learner, but the implementation thus far has been so sloppy and unprofessional that the idea of upgrading to the paid version is laughable.

Nice App. Very helpful, especially with a native accent speaker as the guide. I highly recommend.

Enjoy but would like.... I really enjoy this app so far. I'm learning words pretty quickly. However some words are difficult to understand what the speaker is saying. Like "kheyr". I still have no idea how he's saying it. It would be cool if on difficult words that the speaker spoke slower OR if there was an option to hear the sentence or word pronounced slower and possibly a English visual of the word being broken down to sound it out but not necessary.

Good Setup +very effective idea. Very good tool for learning! Really encourages you to check daily cause if you don't, you don't get to keep that days new word in you flashcard stack. Good push to check and keep learning. Also excellent pronunciation+ phonetic English spelling, and translation. The readout voice doesnt always read the whole text phrase though :/ that's an error +can cause u to learn wrong. Have Farsi, Spanish and Arabic wordoftheday as well, and though all are GREAT to have (better than nothing FOR SURE), Spanish choice of words has been best so far. I just hate the ads in all :P wish they'd be less intrusive.

Best language app. Wonderful tool (and I've been through many)! This and a grammar supplement is all most people would need in order to acquire everyday proficiency in any language. Great organization, visuals, and content!

Excellent tool.. As a student of ancient Iranian history, I find this app to be an indispensable tool for studying the Persian language. This app allows me to absorb more words, thus I have a stronger vocabulary base when I read primary sources.

New update ruined it. After not functioning at all for several months, now the app works just as before except there is no audio now. I have to say, I would never “buy” an app for $7 again. At least with a monthly subscription the developers have to maintain the app if they want to keep getting money. Instead, here I have paid my flat fee but the app is never working like it did when I paid the $7. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The app has a lot of words for $7, and it's the best Farsi language app currently available for iPhone. However, it is super basic. The only learning mechanism is flashcards. Also, the app does NOT sync between devices even when you’re using Cloud. I corresponded with tech support for a couple of months and then they disappeared...I guess because the problem has no solution. I think it would be awesome if the app had one or two games to make learning more fun and engaging.

Learning Farsi. Pretty helpful

Great for learning Persian!. I love this app. I refer to it constantly while I’m on my quest to learn Persian. Fun, and lots of words and sample sentences.

Simple Flash Card Program.. The free program is a waste of time. It comes installed with one word (wow). The program automatically downloads one word a day. After one year, I would have a whopping vocabulary of 365 words. Not very impressive.

A good Farsi app. There aren’t many apps for learning Persian (get it together duolingo!!!) so I’m glad this app exists and works pretty well.

Basic but great place to start. The full version is a great start to learning with easy to sort words & phrases. The lite version is so basic ( one word a day) it should be free.

Strong visuals. This app has a good graphic design. The audio portion is also strong. Wish there was an alphabet and a breakdown ofriding in Farsi. I haven't figured out how to use the word bank yet. I'll have to keep playing with it.

Good Farsi app. As a person who is Persian and doesn’t know much Farsi it’s pretty good and helpful it’s free the flash cards are really helpful too.

Salaam!. This app is pretty good if you want to learn words, but are a slow learner. It gives you a new word every day, and lets you use a flash card feature to study. I recommend getting it, although upgrading to the paid version is over-priced and useless.

Listen and repeat. I love this App because I can listen to words and then record my voice according to the sounds and accents made by the teachers. I also like that many of the words and sentences teach me about Iranian culture....

Big Improvement!. I've had this app for a while and it was ok but the recent upgrades have made it great.

Good for beginners. This simple app is quite good for those starting to study or learn Farsi (or Parsi, the actual name for the Persian language). By showing the approximate English language pronunciation along with the the original Persian script, the app allows the beginner to become familiar with the language by focusing on one word at time. A great first step for becoming acquainted with this wonderful language at a leisurely pace.

Flash card with audio only. Some flash cards show an audio sign only and it does nothing when when you touch it, the audio does not play so you have no idea what it is until the card turns over. Please fix. I am using an iPad.

Junk. What a pile of junk, at one word a day I will be able to speak Farsi in about 10 years, can't wait to find the delete button

more work needed. This app needs work. The flash words have a section where you can see the word used in sentences, the problem is, often another alternative word is used instead. For example, the flashword "raftan", is translated as "go", but in the sentences, every example uses other words such as "miravam". Adding flashcards to learn the persian alphabet would be helpful. But so far it is the best app for learning Persian I have found so far.

Meh. Native farsi speaker has corrected many of the translations already. Also, I got a spoken word that didn't match the written word...not very reliable, which makes it not very helpful.

Good app. I like that it shows the word written as well as has verbal pronunciation.

Good app. Because it's a word a day, it's frustrating if I'm too busy to get the new word. Would be nice to have an option to get the previous days' word. I like the pronunciation and the fact that it's written in Farsi.

I love it!. I love this app. It's amazing. You can actually go back through words you may have forgotten to add to the flashcard section if you know how... It's easy to memorize the words and the speaker is easy to understand. Again, amazing.
