AyeTides App Description & Overview

What is ayetides app? Never be without the tides again!

You too can carry the tides in your pocket (or now, on your wrist!) as you walk along the shore, fly into a harbor, or sail off into the sunset. AyeTides displays tides and/or currents for over 13,400 locations worldwide and unlike many other tide apps, it does not require a network connection. With AyeTides you will never see those annoying ads or be asked to pay for additional features! Sailors, harbor pilots, beachcombers, nature photographers, and more use AyeTides to plan their outings on or around the world's oceans.

Here are some of the things people are saying about AyeTides...

"AyeTides is a quality professional product”

"Your support has been the best I have experienced!"

“As a harbor pilot in New York I’ve been using your excellent tide and current app”

"I really appreciate the effort that you put into making AyeTides as accurate as it can be. It is a great program that has been very useful to us. I think we have 60 pilots using iPhones and iNavX and your app links in so well."

"I am a ships Pilot in BC and use Aye Tides a lot and it has become invaluable.”

You can see the day’s events in tabular form, or you can rotate the phone for an interactive graph that shows you the tide’s value at any point during the day. You can find a station on a map, by name, or based on your current location.

AyeTides is updated regularly and stations are added whenever we find new data. We encourage our customers to contact us if you hare having any issues with the program so that we can help you.

This app is designed to run on your iPhone or iPod Touch. While it will run on your iPad, it does not offer the additional features available with AyeTides XL, which was designed specifically for the iPad. If you have multiple devices, you may want to consider our bundle. You get both apps at a discount!

This is the only place to install AyeTides. Other websites may look like they have AyeTides, but they do not. We only support iOS, any other version of AyeTides is not ours.

Go to site. I surf fish several days each week in the San Diego area. Always use the Aye Tides site.

Handy. Flipping the phone from chart view to graphic view is marvelous.

Top Drawer. Nice update - great app overall. I use it every day and only wish it had an Apple Watch component if nothing more than to feed complications.

Great app. Works extremely well and updates itself frequently and for many locations. If you hold phone vertically you get data numerically and if you hold phone horizontally you get a cool graph of when the tides will be. You can also look into the future by incrementing to future dates. Best app I own. Jeffsurf.

An App of a kind.. The power of knowledge allows for humility. My vision is very limited to where I am in a given time. To know that i can share and SHOW what the tides would do in the close (or distant) future is just awesome, specially in graphic mode just by turning my device from horizontal to perpendicular. Too cool to describe it; a wonder to be able to do it. Keep up the good work. May Gob bless all your efforts. Be safe at sea

Wonderful App!. What’s not to love about an app that does one thing and does it perfectly. I travel a great deal and have used the app around the world. It never fails. Many thanks to the author and staff!

Simple and perfect. Gives you everything you need in seconds.

Awesome. Using it for years, just buy it. It’s cheap and incredible

Terrific app!. As a sailor in California and an owner of a remote beach cabin in Alaska, I could not imagine living my life without this app. I also check regularly it for lunar phases and sunrise/sunset times as I travel around to different parts of the country. There are so many uses, but if you live near/participate in water activities I can’t recommend this app enough. I don’t leave home without it!

Great little app. Great little app but would be nice if it would show the tidal range at a glance as well as local weather predictions for that area. Other than that, a solid app for fishing.

Love the app. Great app for tide information and also moon data. I use it everytime I go fishing.

Best tide App. This application is by far the best tide application available. Superior user interface allows the user to toggle quickly based on location. I use this app daily to navigate the waters of Southeast Alaska and gain access to the tidal flats in front of the Stikine River.

Has evolved to be great. AyeTides has long been a good tides reference tool. Have been using it for several years. The publisher has diligently evolved it, adding a number of useful shortcuts and display features, most notably month view, while still keeping it simple. Top notch.

Elegant App. Excellent example of good software design. Simple, elegant, intuitive, and does everything one wants. After using it for several years, I’m happier than ever, and I hope no one ever tries to “improve” it.

Update Broke Landscape View on iPad. I’ve used this app and loved it for years. But the recent update essentially makes it useless on my iPad which is in a case that holds it in Landscape view at my helm. The update takes away all detailed info and ability to switch stations without tilting the iPad into Portrait view! This is not convenient when plugged into power and resting at the help. Please fix!

Danthewoodman. I've tried others this is the best

Best app ever. We use the app almost daily to see how much beach we’ll have if we want to go for a walk. But when we are on our boat, it’s a necessity. We used to pour through tide books and charts and now we get the same info ( or better) in minutes on our phones. Very accurate!

Great app. I use it all the time!. I just miss the beautiful wave you used to have on the splash page (ha! That must have been intentional!)

Quick and easy. The app is quick to load and easy to use. It is easy to look at also. Simple, concise and informative.

No graphic. There should be an option to show the tide cycle as a graphic!

Worked great, until it didn’t. I have been very happy with this app, and it’s simplicity of use. Until yesterday. Now I can’t trust it, and need to find a new ride app. The app showed a 2 foot tide, with little change for many hours. When I returned to the dinghy an hour later, it was high and dry on the sand. A friend using a different tide app, said it was a -0.5 foot tide, which fit what I saw. I double checked the date, time, location of the tide station - all was correct. I had to hire a couple of locals to help me get the dinghy to the water before dark.

My Go-To Tide Tool. Reliable and accurate, simple to read, this app informs my coastal decisions.

AyeTides. Been very reliable for the 5 years I’ve been using it!

Fabulous. Use it everyday. Quick & easy.

Using AyeTides. Very good and user friendly application in my IPhone. Validating data to manual calculations using NOAA Tidal Current Tables and downloading NOAA web page data. No issues.

Tides and currents. Fast and easily understood, draws from stations and buoys. Along Grand Strand in SC with rivers estuaries and ocean, high tide mark can vary 1 hour in six miles. Current data vary helpful for kayak trips. Thanks for a vital tool!

Just OK. I was told by people that this was the best tides and currents app for sailing. It’s fine, but it is more expensive than others that do the same thing with the same data. It is a bit clunky to use as compared others, even free apps. I wish one of these would shod the currents on a chart as arrows like Navionics does.

Best Tides App. I tried a bunch of tides apps and most of them are terrible, especially the free ones which are both inaccurate and loaded with intrusive ads. This app constantly updates the tidal database and provides tides and currents at your exact location. Other apps have tidal stations with incorrect coordinates. Try the free ones first but this app is the best.

Mister Beach. Being a long time beach goer, it’s important to know the tides. I do long distance swimming and this app is perfect for predicting my longer swims.

Locked on one site. App is locked on one site (Hell Gate, NY) and won’t return to home page. Failing me at a critical time.

Fantastic support!. I emailed tech-support at 10 o’clock on a Friday night. They thoroughly and thoughtfully replied within 30 minutes. I am a captain on oceangoing tug/tank barge. I use the app daily and I’m very happy with it.

This would have save me a “life experience”. I recall anchoring “knowing” I’d have 3’ of water under me at low tide. Well….. it was a minus tide that day and I didn’t. Now I have this on my phone and it’s always with me. You schools have it with you too.

Professional mariner. Simple easy to use accurate

A God send!. Love this app! Easy to use and visualize. I use it almost daily (many years) for coastal kayak trips.

Intuitive. Great App!! Intuitive…and that is the best part. It’s not cluttered. It’s not complex. It gives me the info I want right up front.

Great Tide & Current App. I have used Aye Tides and the XL version for iPad for several years and with it I never need a hard copy tide/current book. As noted, it does not require internet for use so it works out in the middle of no where although I usually plan routes in advance and save the key locations under favorites for fast retrieval. They iPad version is more friendly with graphs and you can point to any point on the graph to find the time and tide or currrent level. Sunrise, sunset, moonrise and set and moon configuration are all included as well. Just went from Seattle to Skagway AK taking most of the narrow risky passages using this as my primary reference with no issues

iPhone 7 for sailing. Absolute must have for All navigators. No connectivity needed, quick downloads for updates, never been wrong, brilliant UI. Buy this now.

A Winner!. This is a great app! It gives lots of information and is easy to navigate!!

No data connection needed. Such a great tool. Using an Internet connection you can find nearby buoys. But if you are traveling in remote areas or internationally you can still look up buoys by name and have accurate local data. I love not needing a tide table ever or anywhere.

Easy to use. Been using it for a couple of years. It's simple and easy to use.

Love this app!. AyeTides is easy to use. I especially like that you can turn it horizontally and see the graphical representation of the tide over time. The screens are not cluttered. Just a great app!

Great app. Use AyeTides regularly and I find it to be indispensable How about a Watch version? The Watch tide apps are just not up to AyeTide standards.

Great tides app. This app organizes and presents tidal data in a very efficient manor. I love that it let’s you define arbitrary thresholds for different stations — I need to cross a sandbar that is only makeable at over 3ft. After defining a threshold I can see visual and tabular times for safe passage. The developer is very responsive. I recently reported a bug and it was fixed within a few hours.

Aye Tides great app for sailors. I am never without this app on my sailboat. It is 5.5 feet deep and sails the notoriously shallow Florida coast of the Gulf of Mexico. “Pushed” updates are fast, and data resides on the phone, so travel away from cell towers and WIFI is not a problem. I wish there was a program this good for my laptop.

Great. I use it for duck hunting and salmon fishing on the coast. Timing is everything and this helps you identify patterns other outdoor people only dream of finding.

Best tide app I’ve found. Easy to find what you need. Accurate and does not need a data connection once installed. Great app.

Very handy program. I live in an area where beaches come and go with the tide. It's great having this program for planning to get the most out of my beach walks. Easy navigation and tilt for a graphical tide chart make planning easy. It has been years since our last review. Ayetides is still unrivaled. It’s our go to tidal app.

Great app. Use this app all the time for boating. Seems to be very accurate.

Super reliable.. Always works even when globe trotting. If ocean tides affect your daily life, then this apps for you.

Bill. I absolutely love this app. It’s all you need if you like fishing moving tide!!

Excellent App. As a marine business, we've try every weather, tide and astronomical app we find. AyeTides is our tide app of choice. Yet to find better.

Tide levels are incorrect. I have found the tide levels for Queensland Australia waters are consistently incorrect along with the times being out by variable amounts. Functionally a good app. Accuracy is shocking.

Accurate. Excellent app for fnq

Very nice, does just what it says. Internet independent, so you have access to tides wherever you are. Very cool feature toggling between colour graph view in landscape, and table view in portrait, makes great use of iPhone capabilities.

Harvey Raven. It’s rare to find such a well thought out, practical, accurate, reliable, comprehensive and easy to use app. Top marks to the brains behind this.

Excellent. What a good app is supposed to be. Provides an efficient, instant reference point with easy to access information, making tides and currents a simple dimension of planning. I use it for canoe and paddle board outings, and even trips to the beach with the kids.

Aye Tides. Simply the best! Will not go on the water without it!

Accurate Predictor. As a professional mariner, Aye Tides has been instrumental to the safety of my vessel!

New version rocks!. This is by far the best tides application out there! Thank you very much for your work in putting this together - well worth the money!

Aye tides. Great program, live on a gulf island where access is controlled by tides so it is essential to know where and when. Be nice to be able to have the basics on my Apple Watch and to also be able to set multiple tide ranges.

amazing. After trying most of the cheaper tide predictors, i bought this and let me tell you, buy this and don't bother with the rest, this is by far the best. How stupid is you need internet for the others to work.Thank you for the great product, i recomend this to all the kayakers out there :)

Great app. Really simple to use and always available. Highly recommend.

Awesome app. I love being on the water and never leave with out checking AyeTides first. Very easy to use.

I like it!. Easy to use.

Decent. All the info is there but the manner in which it is organized and presented is a tad awkward

BC Fisher. All I need before heading out on the Ocean

Could Be Much Better. I am disappointed after paying $10 for this software. Other, free software enables the user to show graphical representations over a 24-hour period, calculate current and show times of maximum and minimum tides. Had I been aware of these limitations I would not have spent the money.

Aye Tides 1.73 on Ipod Touch. Purchased this to use for tides, moon and sun as I live on the coast and am a photographer. It provides all the info I need but the interface could be a little more refined. It is easy to criticise when the work is done and my comments should not detract from an excellent and useful app at a reasonable price. Great database with every place imaginable and overall clear displays and easy to use. I really like the way the sun and moon cycles are shown graphically on the horizontal display. Some small adjustments as mentioned below would get my 5 stars. - Recommended anyway. 1) The size of the date and time font on the main screen is too small. There is lots of room to have it a little larger as if one scrolls across to the next or previous day the size is good. 2) The icons for the sun and moon are really a little too small too, especially for the moon as the phases are shown, which is really excellent, but are difficult to read.Perhaps put larger icons of these phases on the message that pops up when one touches them. 3) I am often inland where there is no tide data required but I still require sun and moon data. It would be very useful if one could enter long lat and a name of the location and just get this astronomical data without the tides, this would make Aye Tides a killer app for landscape photography. 4) It would be useful to be able to have the option of having the app start in graphic mode with a vertical or horizontal screen as this gives very quick tide info without having to read all the numbers or tilt the ipod to landscape mode for this to appear. 5) It seems that the main data screen should fit easily on the page without being truncated on the bottom giving the need to scroll.

Great tool. Perfect fo judging slack in passes with real-time data

CAPT: MACK. A USEFUL TOOL.....5 STARS ++⚓️

Nice little app. I live near the ocean and constantly use this app to gauge good times to go to the beach. Well designed and I really like that it works while offline.

Worth it. This app is so worth the money.

Best and most used app!. Hands down my most favourite app. I use it on a daily basis for work. We go through some of the fastest currents in the world so being precise is necessary and this app helps out time and time again!

They keep pounding out the updates. Buy this app!

Solid and Reliable. I have used AyeTides for 2 or 3 years. It has everything I need in a tide program. It would be useful on an Apple Watch, and I hope they do that.

I use it daily. It's my go to for tides and because we live on the water, tides are crucial. Great job on the update guys... much nicer to look at :)

Great tide app. I've been using Aye tides for years now, through all the versions they have. It works easily and has a nice interface. I love turning my iphone sideways to get the graphical view.

Dom. Love this app like the graphics too!

Great stuff. As a professional mariner I find this program accurate and easy to use. It's very handy.

Great app. Excellent program, use it all the time sailing up the coast of BC as far as Alaska. Accurate and fast, a good app.

This app is no longer working on iPhones. Was a great app now it doesn’t open just crashes on iPhones

Love this program!. A very comprehensive and easy to use program

My GO TO Tide App. Have used this app for years. Love it.

Supereasy and fast. Easier to use than all the guides and electronicson our boat..love it!

Thanks for a great app.. I have been waiting for Mr Tides to be ported to the iPod/iPhone! There are a couple of free tide apps, but they require online access, while Aye Tides has it's own algorithm and is independent of outside support access, making it much more useful in all the remote places boaters go. I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to access the graph view until I went back to the iTunes Store and reread the description of the features. Duh! Turn it sideways! That had not occurred to me. You might want to incorporate that info into the About text.

Awesome Ocean Tide map. I love this app as it tells me when I have the biggest beach for dog walking and kayaking!

Aye Tides. I'm surprized that this software is not called iTides. I live near the ocean and have grand kids to entertain. It's always a treat to take them to the beach at low tide and this software fills the bill nicely to help with that. It works well. One nice feature is that I can run it for dates in the future looking for especuially low tides during the daylight hours. If I hold my iPod upright I get information on sunrise and sunset as well as high and low tides. If I lay it on its side I get a graphical chart of high and low tides. It's just great. It does not do away with the need for tide and current tables for the mariner but it is perfect for the grampas, grammas, and their grand kids exploring the coast line. Very compact. A tide table book can't easily fit in a coat pocket, an iPod or iPhone can.

Capt. Noel. Fantastic program. I use it almost every day, for work and play. Thanks for making it available. Andrew Noel B C Coast Pilot

Works well but has glitches. Great tide and current app. One significant issue...the app will not save "Favorites" (stations) for quick access.

AyeTides is incredible!. I was first introduced to the app in the tidal fiords of Alaska. It saved hours of calculating for the return trip south. It just made entering the Washington and Oregon river bars much safer. We have used it to hike beaches in Australia and Argentina. It is so accurate for such a vast array of locations.

Excellent tide App. Covers off all the obscure bays and passes that aren’t in the official tide tables. It was already excellent and just keeps improving.

My go-to tides/currents app. just keeps getting better and better. ---------- i'm pretty sure i've used every tide/current app available now. this is the one for me. well thought out and implemented. very responsive support team will work with you to fix it or make it better. thanks much folks.

Great App. I am a boater and sail the Pacific Northweast, I depend on this app every season and have been for several years now. I don't know what I would do without it. This app has never let me down and is by far the best tide app out there. I highly recommend it!

Use this app daily. I love this app and use it daily to monitor tide levels now and in the future. Great for planning, easy to use, and very intuitively designed.

Reliable and comprehensive. The app is useful and has data regularly updated so is the best choice for tide and current info- for me on the West Coast of Canada

AyeTides. Love it on my phone. Always know where the tide is. If you’re spending time on the water or on the beach, this is a great app. Easy to read. Informative and free.

Waterman. My go to for tides when surf paddling the straits-Anacortes

Tech moron. This app is very user friendly. Keeps me in the SF bay and off the reefs.

Tide Ebb or Flood?. I love this application and have been a long-time user of both Mr. Tides and MacENC. So when the 3G iPhone was released I couldn't wait for the release of iNavX and AyeTides. Good work Guys! However, I have one small suggestion for this program. At the opening page, It would be nice to see "at a glance" whether the current tide level is ebbing or flooding. This could be accomplished with simple colored arrows pointing up or down or in a variety of other ways. I know I can get this information from the landscape graphical view but that requires a seemingly unnecessary second step. Thanks again. You guys ROCK! (PS... Moon phases might be nice too...)

Best Tide App Period. I've downloaded many tide apps and this one blows all of them out of the water. Look no further. It has thousands of tide stations for the whole of the U.S.- including the ones I use. It can be used OFFLINE. It can show future (and past) dates. It shows the current tide height or the height at any other time of the day. In short, it has everything you would expect. Finally someone has replicated the famous Tide Tool for the Palm. That app was free but nonetheless this one is still well worth the cost.

Doesn't Work Properly. I can't believe the five-star reviews for this app, particularly given its' high price. The interface isn't terribly polished. The only stand-out quality is that the tide data is kept on the iPhone, so no internet connection is needed. This is actually a big deal since there frequently isn't cell coverage available when boating, tide-walking, etc. However, the data is useless if the app doesn't work, and that's the case here. The app is supposed to allow the user to swipe back and forth to see predictions for upcoming days, but my experience has been that the app responds either very slowly or not at all to this gesture and occasionally it will completely lose it and start displaying a fragmented screen. For an app this expensive to not function properly rates a one-star in my book. For half the price the Navionics app will also give tide data without an network connection.

Nicely done!. I love the live tide and current data. The "tilt for a graph" feature is great. For 5 stars, I'd like to have added the ability to search locally on a google map. So in addition to having a list to choose from, you could choose from the pins on the map. Even so, nicely done!

the tides app of your dreams (almost). I'm a marine biologist working in California. I rely on this extensively for low tide work. Tide books are great, but it's really helpful to visualize the timing of the tides, with corrections, for each site. I use the developer's desktop version of this app (Mr Tides 3), which gets about the same review from me, for the same reasons. This app is the one you want. It's easily worth the ten bucks for its functionality and having offline data -- no Internet connection required and no waiting for slow data downloads. The ability to look up any date is really useful. It loses a star in this review because the graphics aren't as nicely finished as, say, TideGraph, and the user interface is a bit clunky. For example, date selection could use a mini month calendar rather than a scrolling display that doesn't include day of the week. Station selection could have an easily accessible map display rather than a scrolling selection (though I'm guessing that including maps would require an Internet connection -- I imagine that an offline version might be humongous).

Tides and currents anywhere, any time!. If you have followed Mr. Tides on the Mac, you will know how much effort went into that program. AyeTides is the next evolution of a really solid program. This Application is great, as you don't have to connect to the net for data... It's stored right on the phone. Currents are also listed and you can get the direction by tapping on the info button. Finding the station is a snap as it brings up a list of stations near your location. It also allows several other methods for finding the location you want. The Graph gives a quick and easy way to view the tide and current. This is no first effort, this is a mature application.

Best tide app in the store!. I'm an avid kayaker and spend time in rivers as well as the ocean. I've tried several other tide apps, both free and paid, but this one is hands down the best! Other apps offered maybe 3 to 4 tide points for my geographical location. Aye Tides has literally hundreds!!! Also, unlike some other apps, you can access the entire database without having to have a signal. It makes the app faster to load, and means it's functional even in out of the way places. Also many tide apps don't make this clear until you have downloaded them, but they only give you information on TODAY's tides!!! Aye Tides allows you to scroll weeks or months ahead and plan a trip. It sounds expensive, but if you are looking for a tide app that does it all, this is the ONE. :)

Glory days Whittier Alaska. Your graphs are very easy to read.

Unremarkable. As good or better apps available for free

Great app. Use it all the time.

Tides can be difficult!. If you don’t know what to expect. This app wised me up! Thank you!

Welcome and Useful Program.... But Needs To Display The Date!!!. I have been using Tides on the Mac for a few years, and was therefore pleased and excited to see this version for the iPhone. However, a crucial feature missing is that it doesn't display the date along with the tide information, so its easy to get confused when navigating between dates. Hope this is a simple fix, as I find the program much less useful and quite awkward to use without concurrent dates being displayed along with the tide information (wouldn't of purchased it had I noticed this flaw).

Go-to tide app. Aye Tides was one of the first tide apps made for iPhone and it has served me well over the years. Now, a slew of other tide apps are out there, but Aye Tide's bright graphics, ingenious change from chart to graph and the marker allows me to quickly check if there's enough water to make it out of our creek. Separating the sun & moon times from the tide data would make the chart easier to read, but all in all, over the years, Aye Tides has been my go-to tide app.

Great App, Re-worked my review from 3 to 5 stars with Upgrade. Great app and the developer listens! I previously rated this 3 stars and made some suggestions - most of the suggestions were implemented and the app is much better and deserving of 5 stars and the price. If you've used Tide Tool on the Palm, this is the best tide app on the iPhone. I would still like to see darker grid lines on the tide chart at 3' and 6' intervals - but that's a minor detail now that the graph is interactive.

Simply the best tide app!. Update for v1.5... Solid new features. When searching for nearby stations, both distance and bearing to the station now displayed. Very helpful. I like that you can view a Google mini-map of the tide/current station location (though maps will only be available when there is cell or wifi access). Double-tap transfers to Google Maps. I like getting satellite view in tide station vicinity. The moon and sun visibility overlay on the graphic display is a nice touch. I use this app every time I'm out on the water! -------------------------------------------------- This app is totally self-contained, no Internet access needed (with exception of map view). You want the tide in Trieste, Italy or Shanghai, even locations in Antarctica? The local neighborhood- Meadow Point Tide level, current near Bush Point perhaps? No problem! The graphic display makes predicting rise and fall for a particular point in time just a matter of sliding a bull's eye on the graphic display. This is an app that doesn't shout, "Look at me! Look at me!" It just gives you the info you need in a very intuitive way and with very nice display options. With the new version, the author has fulfilled my feature requests. This app is really complete! I have to say that the money is well-spent on the current version. The price tag put me off for a while, but the competition simply didn't do it for me. Three cheers for AyeTides!

Indispensable navigational tool. Always accurate

Great App!. I have used it all over the world.

Keep up the good work. As noted in other reviews, the framework of this application was developed and perfected on a Mac and it comes to iPhone as a mature product. It does exactly what it promises--tide predictions anywhere at anytime. It also uses the unique capabilities of the iPhone in a productive manner. Once the app is downloaded, you don't have to be connected to the internet to use it. The price is a bit steep, but you don't have to buy it if you don't want it. Once again, Apple, why do you allow uninformed commenters to vote? The price of voting should be the purchase of the software so that the vote is evidence-based. If someone wants to complain about the price, the best way to do that is to refuse to purchase the product.

Best Tide Book Ever!. In the Spring I lead public and school groups on tidepool hikes. This App has made scheduling hike times a breeze. I can use the graph view to pick the best start time based on tide height. I use this App almost every day and have found it the most useful App yet. Excellent! With the new features it is worth 6 stars!

Great tides. I’be used this app from Oregon up the inside passage to Kodiak and the Aleutian chain. Very accurate.

Love this app!. We have a vacation home on the Potomac River in Virginia. I use this app every time we are there to find out the best time to go out on the beach. The water is not real deep at our pier so we use this app to know when we can get our boat on the lift. It has worked well for us and I would recommend it.

Awesome App.. I will not fish without this app.

My Most Useful App. I received a Touch for Christmas and immediately began searching the App Store for a tide program. You can't imagine my delight to find Aye Tides available. I have been using the authors' Mr. Tides on my Mac for years and, as an active outdoorsman who frequents the Columbia River, have nothing but praise for this program. Well worth the cost!

Where are the detailed charts?. Needs significantly better graphics.

Nice so far.... August has been developing Mr. Tides for years as a free app. He has been very quick with upgrades and updates. This version works fine, but is lacking of some of the features that Mr. Tides has that makes it so useful. I agree with the other posters about the dates, also I really do use a monthly view, or at least weekly, for planning scuba dives. Some of the usability needs some tweaking. I would also like to see the graph be able to be enlarged like on other iPhone pages, as my old eyes can't really read the small type around them. The fact that this has all the info stored makes it much better than the other free program which is barely useful on a boat away from the dock. In short, buy it, I'm sure these short comings will be addressed asap, in the meanwhile it works great.

Absolutely Awesome. This is by far the best app, along with iNav, that I have installed on my iPhone. Love the new integration and the developer is open very helpful. If you leave a review, you should update it when the developer adds the features you ask for, folks. This is a five star app all the way!!!!!

Best app on my iphone --- works with the iNAV chart plotter too (which is also great). I sail in an area that has 2 to 4 knot ebbs and floods and you can't safely take a sailboat out without knowing the currents/tides. This app let's you always know to the minute where you in the cycle between floods and tides (it calculates the speed of the current also). Without this program you either guess, keep track of a tide book (that only shows tides) or take a risk every time you sail. With this program I always know to the minute the exact flow of the water directly outside of my marina and not just a general number for the whole harbor because it has data from all of the recording buoys. You select the buoy nearest your location and even more accuracy.

Excellent App. I rely on this App daily for my Montauk fishing charter boat business. Very accurate, crucial to my fishing successes.

Great sailing APp. Shows you tides, sunrise, and sunset.

Great app for those that work or play on the sea.. Sooo much handier than a “tide book”

Absolutely the Killer Ap I have wished for, for years!. This is a wonderful Ap that I find indespensible as we travel around the world. We love to snorkel and swim, thus knowing what the tides are doing is essential to our water enjoyment. I see a number of "wish for" comments in these reviews that the author seems to have taken care of but no one has commmented on. Thus I feel the need to do so! The Date IS DISPLAYED now on every tide page. Also you CAN JUMP A DAY AHEAD or BEHIND, not with arrows on the screen (which admitedly would be more obvious) but by flicking your finger left or right to jump a day at a time. Very nice, and totally consistent with the iPhone approach to things! NOTE: to see the tide charts you must turn your iPhone to landscape position. Otherwise you just get a data table of the tide min/max events. This one gets my vote, big time!

Does what I want.. Does what I want.

Hydrographers opinion. I'm a Florida licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper specializing in ocean surveys. Having a tide app on my phone is a great convenience. I had a terrible experience with another app, one called "Tides", that turned out to be a totally nonfunctional ripoff with zero customer support. I replaced it with Aye Tides and have been a bit surprised to find that it does an excellent job. I highly recommend it. Stay away from the "Tides" scam though.

Short. Not very accurate for area north of Steinhatchee to Fenholloway including Keaton area

Great App For Many Reasons. I love the information that this app displays, but I also love that the information is on your hard drive, so you are not reliant on an Internet or telephone signal to get your data. Many remote beaches are not close to the Internet, and that is not a problem because this app loads of information directly onto your device.

Good aid for sailing. A useful tool for sailors. I strongly recommend it.

Nice. I've had this since it first appeared, and I like it a lot. The developer has been tweaking it, and is responsive to questions/suggestions. You don't need to access the internet to get the data, so that makes this worth the 15 bucks, but I will always carry a paper back up on board, in case I drop my iphone overboard or something. It is really handy to be able to retrieve all the info I need with a couple taps.

Garbage. Not worth a penny

Great App. As we sail our Catamaran Stella Maris from the Western Caribbean, Panama and now en route to French Polynesia Aye Tides is our faithful companion! Always right-on!

Aye Tides. Great value, easy to use, and no advertisements, amazing! My most frequently-used app.

New widget. New widget needs work. Iphone 12mini running ios 14.5. Chages station to top of favorites list. Does not bring up edit screen to change it.

Worth Every Penny & More!. Quick and easy access to tides wherever you need them. Way faster and easier than the Internet. Graphs are sweet. The date thing will be nice but it's already a hugely valuable tool for anyone who needs tidal information. As a long time Tide Tool user I have been waiting for a quality alternative for the iPhone, this is it.

Ride. Very good and accurate

Good App. I like this app a lot. Two suggestions for improvement. As one other reviewer said, it does need the date on the screen with the data. I would like to see the date in both views. (BTW, it took me a couple of minutes to figure out that you get the graph view simply by turning the iPhone horizontal. Nice touch) Second, I would like to have arrows in the bottom corners for forward and reverse to go one day forward or backward at a time. This would make it much easier to move forward a day or two. I'm rarely interested in the tides a month in advance. If you do the arrows, how about a third suggestion? A "Today" button when you leave the current day. Again, a really good app that provides the info when I need it.

Has always worked well for me. I started using this app 2 or 3 versions ago on my original iPhone. The free one or web site just was too slow and often would not connect...so I spent the bucks. And have been glad ever since. I am now using 1.60 on my iPhone 3GS. Living on an island and walking the beach and/or soundside trails every day, this is info I want often. It is great, fast and easy.

AyeTides. The best tide app I’ve seen; the graph is perfect.

money well spent. Super intuitive interface. Relatively easy to find the pertinent data relatively quickly. However would be nice if there was a map interface as well. I would rename the app Tides and Currents Offline Worldwide to capture the broad-reaching utility of this app. I actually overlooked this app initially due to the name

Incredible app. Two weeks power boating in the Puget Sound area and our Ports and Passages never was opened. Everything you need in the palm of your hand. Love the graphs especially current. All secondary tide and current stations are there without any need to correct for time or height. A really great feature is the ability to find the station closest to you with the push of a button. I would give this app 10 stars if I could. So worth the money.
