Keep On Walking. This is a great app and it does what it is supposed to do. This worked from the second I had it on my iPhone. It was worth the cost and then some. Thanks for a great job.

Great app!!!. It works and has been a reliable companion through several hundred miles and a weight loss of more than 100 lbs. It also serves as a stopwatch. My wife uses it to time speeches in her College Speech Class.

It works. I can't believe that some one would say that this doesn't work properly, this does exactly what it suppose to do you just have to read the instruction carefully and play with it for a bit I am very satisfy with the results on my iPod touch

This app is a joke.. Thanks.

Pedometer. This is a really useful app, combining pedometer with phone. I have lost almost 30 pounds by using this app to move more. The one big improvement I would like to see is for it to work in the background. If I am walking and talking on the phone at the same time, my steps don't get recorded.

Useful app-works for me. I downloaded this app after the new year and it works great! I counted my steps on the treadmill with it, and it was highly accurate. As advertised, it is a full-featured pedometer (calories burned, number of steps taken, distance traveled and total time)which is exactly what I was looking for. You can't go wrong with it. The new calibration feature is nice too. Thanks!

So far so good. I'm not sure if it's totally accurate but it's a pretty good app. Not sure if it's worth the 5 dollars yet but I will definetly know after maybe 2 more runs. Pretty easy to use. It does shut off when you press home key to switch songs so setup playlist before doing a timed run. The history summary of your runs is cool however

Love to Walk. This is a great app on my iphone. I walk every day and this keeps track of steps , distance , calories and time . I also listen to my ipod with headphones while walking and can receive phone calls while the Pedometer keeps calculating. Great awesome app.

Very good. Very good, very reasonable accuracy, to listen to music while we walk, has a history of activities, much cheaper than the Nike kit, but not so accurate. and put only the display of the iPhone is directly connected, the developer should make it off after some time to save battery

Great Product. I love it. It helps keep up on my walking program. It's better then any stand alone pedometer I have ever owned!

Better than nothing. This app is just OK. It is not very accurate, requiring a lot of tweaking depending on which course you're on. App stops counting if iphone turned off; eats your battery when left on. Ad states buttons will not accidently press, but this seems to be a future refinement yet to come. Would be better if it displayed elapsed time also.

Nice, but.... Nice app, but if you need to have a pedometer all day this will drain your battery. For those who need a pedometer for longer periods of time it's best to get a dedicated unit. Few things worse than taking a long walk and finding you phone battery drained and you can't call for a ride home.

Great. Great app the only problem is the timed runs stop if you recieve a call and don't remind you to restart them and also if you leave the app it stops timing your run so you can't change your music if you want to. Other then those two things very happy though.

Disappointed. I found the pedometer to be very inaccurate with GPS turned off With GPS turned on, it is pretty accurate. The app does not seem to work in the back ground, if I forget to bring it to the front after using another app — no steps are recorded. The small, stand alone $20 pedometers work a lot better.

It works. It's fine. It is as accurate as such things can be and as limited as they are. Correct expectations are key. It does what it does when properly calibrated. However, it loses track or stops time or recording steps if not in its locked mode. Does not function unless active ....

Wasted money. This is the first app that I found crappy enough to review. Does not clock. Does not account for stride so distance is not accurate(2500 steps=0.6mi?). One tilt of the unit registers 2 steps = no delay as advertised. Will only count steps when in the app. If you need to do something else it stops and only starts again when you enter the app again. Only $3.00 but I want it back on principle alone. I thought that I could finally retire my reliable omron pocket pedometer that I have carried every day for 3 years and matches up in distance to a car odometer (2375=1mi with my stride, weight, and height).

Inaccurate. Counts steps even when I'm not moving. Some days it counts more calories for less miles walked, and other days counts less calories for more miles walked. The calibration doesn't work either. All the pages should count/record the same info/steps/calories burned, and they don't.

Works great. love it only 2 complents that it doesn't tell how fast you went just average speed and it's not all that acurate like when I went down the road oneday it told .53 of a mile and the next day it said .49 of a mile hopefully will fix it!!!!!!

Ok app, still needs very important work. Need to fix the issues. This app works for a workout session. I need this to track daily steps. Only way the app works is if the app is open and the phone is not locked, this kills the battery. Need to fix to allow to run in the background for daily tracking.

This was a great idea, just does not seem to work. Buy a physical pedometer instead.. First of all it is very inaccurate. I went through the setup and such, and the same on my wife's, and the distance and the step counts were way off. Our physical pedometers were within a few steps of % of each others. Also, if the phone turns off it stops counting your steps. If you leave it unlocked in your pocked it, and it bounces around, it could open a menu and stop counting. Both me and my wife bought this app, and wish we can return it.

Great. It doesn't work in sleep mode but If you just turn off auto lock it works great

Let down. All I was hoping for in this app was an accurate pedometer but this one seems to work and then quits after a few steps. Used it the last 3 days and each time I've started the counter and once I put it in my pocket it doesn't seem to recognize the step consistently. I went about a mile and a half but when I looked at the app it said I'd gone 26 steps.

Pedometer by Luminant. Just tried it on iPhone 5 C. I like that you have options such as putting it in your pocket or carrying it in your hand. Easier to use than other apps like this. Can start and stop so you don't drain battery. I had downloaded IOS 8 on iPhone 5 C but apparently need 5S to work the new Health app as 5C doesn't have M7 motion sensor as the 5 S does. This app provides basic data without a lot of clutter you don't need. Only 99 cents

Very Good. I haven't had any problems with this app. The only thing I would suggest to improve is an adjustment for walking hills. You burn more calories walking uphill and I don't think the app reads that so then the calories aren't as accurate.

Accurate and easy to use, works like a charm!. I was skeptical that an app could accurately measure distance just by counting steps without making you enter your exact stride length. But somehow, this one works! It has an ultra-simple settings screen that lets you enter your height and weight, and lets you adjust the sensitivity until you hear one click per step. After you do this one-time setup, it works amazingly well. I just hit the start button before going on a walk, and it keeps track of distance and even calories burned. As a bonus, it keeps a daily log of your activity. I checked the distance it reported and it was amazingly accurate. This app is really well designed, easy to use, and well worth the 5 bucks. If you're thinking of getting a distance/activity monitor for your iPhone, THIS IS THE ONE TO GET!

It's ok. I will say that it's very sensitive when you move it will add 5 steps without actually stepping. But overall it works, as long as your fast walking it's pretty accurate more or less. I have been noticing lately that it pauses on its own and will stop tracking even when the phone is on lock and when I glance to check my progress I have to unlock it and press start for it to continue to track my steps which slows me down from my pace, so that can be annoying, especially if your the type of person who doesn't look at the pedometer until after your walk and you realize it never tracked your whole walk because it paused. :/

Not so great. I had high hopes for this. Not worth the bucks. It might be good if you just want to track steps per/day, but I was looking for it to track each individual run. It won't do that. If that's what you want, don't get this. It also didn't record the mileage, which really ticked me off at the end. Oh well. Live and learn.

So So. Pain to use when listening to music. If you switch to music or podcast screen, off of the pedometer app, it stops counting. If you you lock the itouch to save battery, it stops counting. If these two things would be fixed it would be great.

Inaccurate distance. I did not like this app one bit. The distance was not even close to accurate. Used it for one day before I found another one. The only good thing is it will not turn off if you get a call or text.

Mr. Very accurate and consistently measures same mileage for same route. Easy to read and the history feature helps keep consistent steps andileage daily.

It Works-Excellent App. I'm an exercise nut and a techie-I have all sorts of apps and electronics. I have owned a few "store" traditional pedometers and I have NOTHING bad to say about this app. I've been using it for a year and it's never failed me. The addition of the GPS feature was a stroke if genius and makes it very accurate. I absolutely love this app and it's one of the apps that makes my iPhone worth the purchase. I find it's reliable, never stops or crashes and the email feature is also great. I have some pretty useless apps, but this is not one of them-I highly recommend. :))

Great app!. Half way through a great walking trail I decided I needed to buy a pedometer! Checked with my best friend, the iPhone, to see if there was an app! Yes! Easy to use! Dead on with distance! And it was only 99 cents! It doesn't get any better than this!

AMAZING!! A MUST!!. This is so awesome!! Highly recommend it for anyone walking. It makes walking worthwhile and that's coming from someone that needs to walk more. The serious walkers must really love this.

Don. Downloaded this app. Have tried to use it on many occasions. It seems to be OK when you calibrate, but when you actually come to use it is inaccurate. Also I found on every occasion that if switch to music whilst using the app it switches from one track to another as your body/legs move. Very disappointed with this app. Anne CA

Love this App!!. I am amazed at how accurate it is! Once you tweek the sensitivity setting it is very accurate. Very easy to use too. In my pocket it accidently reset itself, but once you put it on lock that takes care of that. Definitely a great choice and worth the money!

Worth every penny. I was looking at buying the nano so I could use the Nike + system to run with and I installed this first and I saved well over $150. This works GREAT!

Decent. If left on over the course of a day, drains battery completely. You can't erase step history, but besides those flaws, it is decent. Also, a sugestion is being able to lock your ipod to save battery. Metallica rules too, so maybe an option to listen to your music with the app open? Thanks for listening.

Logging your steps???. I like the pedometer but i don't know how to log anything? how do you put your day to day workout into the history book. I hit e-mail??? e-mail to WHO?????? can someone help me???? Marcus stepping in the wrong direction???? HEHEHEHE!!!!!!! I can't give more stars at this time until i get some help with LOGGING??????

Almost Perfect!. This is the best Pedometer I've used on the Ipod. Very easy to setup and off you go! Simply enter your weight and hight and where you are going to hold it (Hand, poket, etc) and it just works. The really nice unique item on this pedometer is the history it keeps! Something none of the other Ipod Touch Pedometers. have. There are only a few down sides: 1) There is no controlling your music when the pedo meter is working. Skipping fowared / backword, Pause and volume control is impossible 2) If you have a remote to control your iPod, using the remote causes the program to close and the player to open. (except for volume control) 3) Battery Killer! You'll be lucky to get 3 or so hours out of a full charge if you are running this program. I suggest at least shutting off your WiFi to help save on power. Other then that its great! The only other nice thing I would like to see is a graph of your history day-to-day or maybe someway to export your results like the Niki pedometer lets you or a simple excel export. Overall a great Pedometer though!

Amazing app. This app is absolutely amazing! Completely worth the one dollar. I just started running before school starts and I emailed my numbers to my computer. On my computer I made a spreadsheet that showed me all my information. Very easy to calibrate and works even better now with the Gps! I would highly reccomend this app to anyone thinking about buying it.

Worth it!. Worth every cent. Used it last night and all my steps were right on. Please read directions carefully. It does work. Keep up the good work.

A Good App. I have been using Pedometer for a month, every day, and have found it to be useful and accurate. My only criticism, and this applies to many iPhone apps, is the availability of documentation. I would like to be able to access, even on the developers' websites, instructive material to get the best use of any app. So often, we have to experiment to see what the app developer intended. An example with Pedometer is the use of the Lock feature. This app is definitely worth the money.

inconsistent at best. I am experiencing wide variations in step counts at the same settings. At the default setting it is ranging from 5% to as much as 20% over the actual step count. This may get better as I adjust sensitivity, however, some additional comments. The milage appears to be calculated by step count. Assuming this is the case, you need to be able to input stride length in order to calcuate acurate milage & speed, even assuming you can get the step count correct. I make these assumption based on my observations walking the same route. That is, if I get a higher step count, I get higher milage for the same route (so it is not, apparently using GPS). That said, the numbers in the picture above fly in the face of this assumption. To get 1.42 mile in 1600 odd steps, as in the illustration, you'd need almost a 60" stride. That in itself, is a pretty poor illustration of likely accuracy. In reality, I have found the milage to be more accurate than the step count, therefore probably calibrated a bit low for my stride. In addition, somewhere, if only on the support site, it would be nice to see an indication of which direction to adjust the slider to increase/decrease sensitivity. I realize that this can be figured out by rote, but for the sake of completeness....

Overrated. I read the reviews on most of the pedometer apps and this one seem to be consistently higher than the rest. It is too sensitive -- I walked half a mile and it calculated thousands of steps. I watched as it randomly logged steps even when I was not moving my body or the iphone. I don't understand why the Nike+iPod is not compatible with the iPhone......forget all these apps and fix the Nike+iPod compatiibility issue. I did not buy the iPhone to have to continue to carry an iPod with me for the Nike+iPod accessory.

Amazing!. I didn't think this thing would work! I've been looking for a decent pedometer to use during my workouts but the ones that actually work correctly can get pricey. This is a steal at $2.99. And it's very accurate! I am impressed.

Getting a Bad Rap. I see a lot of bad reviews of this app but I don't think they're deserved. Calibrating is a little tricky but once fine tuned this is a well functioning, reasonably accurate app. About calibration: I found that I had to adjust the sensitivity a couple of times to get accurate step counts. But that's easy, just a little trial and error. Use at least 100 steps to check accuracy. Once that was worked out the distance accuracy got much better. I think we're getting spoiled by these apps, expecting everything to be easy. It just makes sense that a pedometer app like this has be calibrated to each person's stride, environment, etc. It'll take more than one try to get it right. I don't count that as a flaw. What d'ya really expect for 99 cents?

Timer shuts down. Great app unless a phone call comes in. Great app as long as you don’t leave the screen. Great app unless your display time is set to anything but never. App will not function behind any other screens. Stops dead. You need to restart timer each time. Really? Seems easy for developers to readjust. Would even pay for function!

Great!. I've found it to be extremely accurate, but takes a little tweeking to get the sensitivity right. Like a lot of others - I wish it could work while inactive, but keeps counting while other activities are going. History resets a grand total & zero total everyday & I wish I could label timed sessions or categorize them for different workouts to know what the timed activity was. Spending most of my day @ a desk with phone inactive - I haven't had any battery issues. Well worth the $!

How is distance computed?. I like many things: screen dimming to save battery, clicking on steps to set sensitivity, lap timer, and history. I assume that distance is computed by some assumption about height and pace length? I wish there were a way to input pace length. Also, why not store a separate sensitivity for each carrying mode? Does the carrying mode change the step detection algorithm? If yes, say so. If not, then why bother setting it?

A pretty decent app!. Calibrate, adjust sensitivity based on your actual steps when using for the first time and you are good to go! Good app! Just not sure how accurate the "calories burnt" part. Apart from that its a pretty decent app.

Great app. The best!! I use it every single day!

Counts but does not record. Easy to use and calibrate, however it does not keep the "history" updated which is a bit disappointing.

Works for me. I've been using this one for a little while and it's been really useful. Looking forward to seeing more features, like graphical progress etc

Needs a lot of work. Wildly inaccurate. Run the same route daily and get distances of over 1km out. Really dissappointed.

Very inaccurate re distances. Have done the same odometer-verified 3 km walk the last 3 days and have obtained distance guesstimates of 1.5kms, 2.4 kms and 2.1 kms. Near to useless for distance covered.

Kyle 5. $4 for a student app?

Neat little application, limited by Apple's SDK. This app works beautifully when it's open. But as soon as you switch to your music to change a playing album it stops counting. Also, as soon as you lock the screen it stops. I really hope apple allow users to specify which apps they allow to run in the background because this app would benefit a great deal from that. Great app, when you keep it open. Good work! Fingers crossed apple relax their policies. Wishlist: * Reset counter manually rather than just showing steps for that day * Named counters throughout the day (i.e. 6 hour walk up Mt Sorrow; 30 minute walk to work)

Seems to work. Only used it once so far & could setup the 'Hand' position properly so it measured my amount of speed & steps correctly although I didn't use it long enough to make sure the distance was correct since its quite tiring holding it in your hand for long periods of time. Using the 'pocket' position was a little more complex because it doesn't count the first few steps as they say its to make sure you don't do any missteps before starting. And since I can't see when its starting its hard to adjust the sensitivity properly. Using GPS would be a whole lot easier but since I've got an iPod Touch I can't take advantage of it which is a shame because it'd be far more accurate & ideal However, for just over $1 I'm impressed by the amount of features & presentation. It supports both music and the option to use kmph, km, kg & cm metric system - thank god because talking in miles & lbs is confusing to me!

Not worth the $0.99. It doesn't seem to work in the background when you are using the iPhone for something else, like checking the map. Nor does it work unless the display is active ... so the battery is drained with the phone just sitting in your pocket. If these issue could be solved it would be OK -- but as it is, it just doesn't work as an all-day pedometer.

Pretty, but useless. Almost impossible to calibrate with its tiny slider bar, and consistently innacurate. $1.99 I should have spent on a coffee.

Works very well with new system. Upgrading ipod system to 2.1 cures previous crashes. Appears to work very well but still need to test further (I wanted to correct the previous post immediately that it fails to work).

Didn't like it. Not great. Doesn't count all steps.

Don't waste your money. Just got in from my evening walk. According to Google Maps, the route I followed should have been 1.66 miles and taken the average person 33 minutes. According to this app, I actually walked for 32:47. So as a stopwatch (which the iPhone already comes with), it works pretty well. However, it says I covered 3.98 miles in that 32:47 ... meaning I was apparently strolling around the neighborhood doing 8-minute-14-second miles, a speed I rarely matched when I was in junior high (I'm 40 now, and I wasn't in gym class tonight). Hopefully the next update will address this bug; if it does, I'll come back and write a more favorable review...

Waste. Doesn't work! Won't count my steps. Period. Someone tell me how to fix this crap.

Good Stuff. My first purchased app and I am happy with it. It does what it says and it keeps a daily history which is one of the better features. No issues with OS2.1 on a 3G.

Great App!. This is one of the most used apps on my iphone. Works perfectly. I would like to see an option to have the screen off when walking so as not to drain the battery unnecessarily.

There is a trick. At first I thought this thing was not working because when the screen went off it stopped counting. You have to touch the "Lock" button unobtrusively sitting at the top the Steps screen. The only thing is that it then keeps the screen permanently on. It should at least dim the screen so as not to drain the battery if it is going to prevent the thing from switching off the screen.

What the.... I like it. I tried iPedometer and gpsCompass and it does NOT work on the iPod touch. That is what I have, and got this, AND IT WORKS! Oh, now I won't have to wait until I go to Grandma's for the treadmill. Now I can see how many miles I ran in the blink of an eye!

LotusUser. This is the best pedometer app for the price, as it offers the ability to listen to your iTunes music as you walk, saves battery life by dimming the screen, has an attractive and easy-to-use interface, and has excellent logs that track how far you walk each day. The only glitch I found is that it doesn't click as promised when you're trying to set the sensitivity. I'm not sure how accurate it is, really, or to what extent it relies on GPS to calculate how far you've walked. Regardless, it's an excellent way to see how far you've walked one day compared to another - and to try to improve your fitness by taking even more steps.

Quit working!. This app worked great for a couple of days and then just quit for no apparent reason. Don't know how to resolve the problem.

It's ok. Could be better at Celebrating the steps and the Distance because I walked on a trail and it didn't add up As like on a track

Wooooooow!. If I am walking, I want to lock my iPod, not have the screen be burning up!!! ALLOW ABILITY TO LOCK IPOD! I think you can allow the app to run in rhe iPhones process, like the music and mail apps can.

Not Very Good. At first--it seems to calibrate and begin functioning. The first measured walk even seemed accurate. But subsequent walks with the pedometer showed inaccurate distances, and I cannot recalibrate.

Worst App Ever!. Simply doesn't work! Starts and stops at random; I'm not an idiot but I simply cannot figure out how to make it do what it actually is supposed to do: count my steps. May as well have flushed my money down the drain.

Great!. I like how you can see your distance in miles. I would just like to be able to listen to music while I run.

Sleep mode. Give it support for sleep mode and you'll get 5 stars from me

Interesting App. The accuracy is not 100%, but it is an interesting app to put in the pocket and have an idea about how long did you walk in the shopping center or in your work. For U$0,99 is a good option.

Not good. I have used it twice & it stopped both times. I tried to email them twice, but I got no answer.

Pedometer. What a great tool! I always have my phone with me, so now I don't have to carry a separate device. It seems to be pretty accurate as well.

great idea but terrible accuracy!. After trying to calibrate on the different ways there are, I decided to pull out my pedometer ....Its more accurate and it gets the job done everytime. what a waste! this app is not even worth being free! it's straight gobbage!

Great App!. Can track your steps great

Review. I like it, it keeps it simple.

Good!!. It is a great app but sumtimes it count to many steps or too little but who needs perfect great app!!!

Bad Dog. This works great! I read all the reviews for the others. I really like this one. Well worth the money.

SOLID !. Does exactly what I want. Doesn't run my battery down either.

Use it every time I go walk. Money well spent.

great but needs inprovements. You have to be on the app to use it, you cant be listening to music at the same time, otherwise this app is great

I want my money back!. I bought this hoping it would work. I work at out alot ladies and gentleman. I saw that when I moved the phone it would go like 5 step. I am not pleased there are plenty of better apps. Either make it better or I delete. Thank you

Waste of $$. Not accurate at all. I tried to adjust the settings to improve, but simply doesn't work well. I turned it on, walked out my front door and to my car, suddenly i had taken 587 steps :)

me. NO GOOD! This app has never worked for me despite calibrations and updates. Has never kept a history, shuts down at any moment, simply does not work.

Not bad. The pedometer has a lot of good features, but even with the gps on, I always get different distances ran, and I run the exact same laps every time.

A!!!!!!!. This is a nice app but it is very sensitive. You need to set it just right. Overall this is a good app.

Great app. Take the time to calibrate it right and it will work great!

great app but drains the battery. This is a great app but charging my iphone battery 2-3 times a day is not going to work for me.

This needs Help. Wait for them to fix it - It doesn't reset til Midnight!! So when you are trying to calibrate it you can not clear it. Email them and tell them to fix it...I did.

Disappointed. The distance reported is off by 34%, and there is no way to calibrate step distance. There was no reply to support questions.

Disappointed. Disappointed. I bought the app to put in my pocket and track steps throughout my day. They claim that you can lock the app on the screen which you can, but it will not track your steps..would be a good app if this was corrected

So So. This application is not very accurate and doesn't work with your ipod on. It also frequently locks out or turns off for some reason. I would reccomend using the IPhone for the IPOD and picking up a stand alone Pedometer and saving your money on a couple of new tunes.

Not impressed. It seems like it has a lot of neat features, but you have to keep the app on all the time & it drains the battery. I did the calibration, but the step count afterwards was still inaccurate. I don't recommend it.

Rich. This is a great app! I'm amazed at how accurate it is and how it, somewhat magically, works. It is so worth the money.

Very Unsatisfied User. I purchased this app based on it's reviews. It should be marketed, as "entertainment only"! I used it for 10 days exactly the same walking distance & time, under the same conditions, and received 10 different readings. This thing was all over the place! Confirmed it with a regular pedometer. Enjoy your new TOY!

Nice app. Nice full screen feature. Nice app all in all. Slight difficulty in calibrating, but works great after that.

Great App!!!!. It works very accurate in your pocket with the settings adjusted perfectly

Good app. Works perfectly

Works if screen is left on.. Went to tryout for first time on a walk started app and then I started some music and pressed the "lock screen" key. After walk app said I took 65 steps & 0.02 miles. I went for about a six block walk. I'm sorry that isn't no 65 steps.

Dag.... Bummer, the app doesn't work unless you stay on the app, you can't go into any other app or listen to your music, so I guess if you wanna walk with this app you'll be doing so sans music. SUUUUCK! -theundrtow

Chuk. I enjoy using this app it helps me stay focused on my daily progress and calorie intake.

Pretty good ap. It took me a little while to be able to use this ap successfully but once I did, I really enjoyed it. It is very accurate if the settings are correct, there are mile market on my run so I was able to test it. It was worth the couple of bucks for me.

Step to this.... Sadly the iphone isn't really setup to use a Pedometer but this app give it a try. It works ok once setup properly. If you need an approx step count, then try this...

Good app. Helps track walking and daily activities Tom - Waco

It works. It works! Just needs calibribration.

Happy happy. I'm gonna enjoy the walk time alot more, now. I just erased another ped app a minute ago, because this one is wayyyy better. Keep up the good work.

Nice app. Works great, just wish it operated when phone is locked.

Not very accurate. I ran a mile and it said i went .35 of a mile. This is just a joke. I gave it three stars because it could be improved. (yes Luminant, thats you)

Great app. Amateur walker, here. But love this app! Took several tweaks to calibrate, but worth it.

It works. It is Better than all the other pedometers I installed

Pedometer. Haven't checked it out too much yet but so far I really enjoy it! Great app!

Pedometer - Recommend. Recommend. I find it very accurate and helps with my motivation. Thanks.

Awesome!!!. This app works great! I use the gps mode exclusively and have nothing but good things to say about this app.

Doesn't work!. I walk the same path and it always gives me different distances every time (by a lot)
