Deceptively useful. Used this so my wife could locate me in the movie theater with the lights off. I'd love to see the next version with a selection of colors(especially red for nightvision) and most imporantly a pick list of saved phrases.

Nice...... I used it to display a message to someone that I care about. It works well and brought a smile to their face. I really like that the message scrolls. It caught their attention and made them concentrate on it until the message completed. Stupid......but cool.

Great app!. Scrolling speed does need to be controllable with various speeds optional. But, this is great for flashing a message to someone sitting beside you or across the room when you're not supposed to be talking. LOL

Pretty amusing actually.. This app is just for fun and the price is right. If you could only speed the scrolling up a little it would be right on. At this speed I noticed that people loose interest before reaching the end of the message.

Stop all the moaning. It's free, does what it says, what point do u want? Maybe a few choice updates would be nice, color, avatars , speed, I would pay a buck if it was updated. It's just a banner not game, get over it. U cheapos,

Works just as promised!. Just downloaded this and I think it is cool! Just as advertised. I will most likely get the paid version if it offers some more features like speed control. I intend it for a dual purpose.....send notes to left lane lizards and annoy my wife at the same time. :-)

Faster!. It could be a very handy tool, especially when traveling in a car, it just needs a speed control, it moves way too slow as it is. I would be willing to pay for this application if speed control was an option.

Needs a speed setting. While this application is neat (my wife and I get separated in the movies when she goes for popcorn and I get the seats) the speed is WAY too slow... I have an LED name badge that has fully scroll speed function, flashing, and a couple of other neat tricks... if this software had flashing, color options, and a speed control... it would have gotten 5 stars from me... heck, I would have even paid for that stuff... I just want it to say "Honey, Over here!!!" and not take 10 minutes to scroll across

It is just fun. Nothing else to say. This is a fun app and aslo it's free! I would have paid for it anyway it is a great app when your bored or when u just want to get ur point across and be funny about it. I say it's free u have nothing to loose try it I will most likely like it!

Doesn't work. This app displays one stupid Spanish banner and that's it. If you shut the better off it still displays the same message. If you type a new message, it's still displays the same Spanish banner. It might be good if in when they ever get it working.

Got me out of the doghouse. My wife got mad at me and went outside to cool off. I wrote her a few funny messages and she ended up laughing and forgiving me. So essentially this app can save relationships. Fact. Ingenious, fun app. Also, useful for school cafeterias lunch menus. See, I'm on a roll!

Addition of Ads. The newest version has added iAds that are shown in both portrait and landscape mode. They slide in from the right side, pause in the middle then exit the left side. Would've kept this app that I've literally had for years, but the ads make the "free version" basically a piece of junk. Have deleted and have no plans to acquire a "paid" version of this app. >:-(

Nothing amazing. It's not something to go crazy for but is great for passing notes in class kinda thing. Color and other fonts would be great though. I like it plus it's free so stop complaining about how boring it is. It does what it promises and if you don't like it then delete it. You don't lose any money from it so might as well try it and see if you like it.

Slow. Limited Brightness. At first, this application would not load on my iPhone 2G. A power off restart fixed that. This app works, and is free, but could use some polishing. It would be nice to have a speed adjustment, color adjustment and perhaps non-aliasing option (the aliasing simply blurrs the message it seems).

Pretty good. This is a clever idea and easy to use. It would be better if you could change the scroll speed and change the color of the letters. Not sure if I would have tried it if it wasn't free, but it's a fun app.

The new way of comunication. This is a funny application! It's not useful, but it lets you write something, then you hold your device in the air and everyone can see what you want to tell them. I used it in school to deliver some "secret" information. Try it...!

Worth a couple laughs. Who doesn't like having their own scrolling text in LED format. It can be seen from far away, and writing silly messages is always fun. I've used a similar program but I just wish you could change the color and speed. Other than that it's good for just a few laughs.

Crash bug, anyone?. I've used it a few times, but all of a sudden it's crashing every time I use it. I loved it before (perfect for sending messages to friends from across the room), but now it's virtually useless. Please fix it, because I love this app!

Simple, great, and priced well.. I could see some potential ehancements for this program. Such as colors, common custom phrases for quick selection, a quick clear button in the input field, and an option to use a standard font with out the led background. These are NOT complaints. But I would donate to the author of this program should he/she continue developing it. And keeping it free. Thank you so much.

Simple, Free Novelty. Does just what it says and scrolls pseudo LED messages across the screen. I would use it on occassion if there was a control for setting scroll speed, and perhaps a choice of LED styles and type sizes. It would also be nice to see the scroll orientation changed based on accelerometer data so it scrolled properly regardless of whether the phone was horizontal or vertical.

Could be improved, but what a great idea!. How cool is this? You can annoy people at great distances...signal your luddite friends without phones...or use it as a unique and less-obnoxious way to request songs at concerts. Yes, it needs a speed control and a bug fix or two... but c'mon, it's free and an excellent idea. :) Keep up the good work!

This app rocks!. This app shows a sentence in huge writing where somebody across the room can read it. I highly recommend this app.

Love this app. This app does what it is intended to do And is visible from across a large room The only things I would ask for is speed control, color control, multicolor in one message & animations. I would be willing to pay for these features as I am sure that most of you who love this app would agree.

Cool App - Dead Zone on my iPhone means I can't edit it, though. Unfortunately I have a dead zone on the screen of my iPhone which means I can't add spaces or numbers. Other than that, this has worked well for me. It does just what it says it does. I'd like to be able to speed up the scroll, though

Looks stunning!. Of all the 'just for fun' apps I've been downloading the past few days, I've definitely been having the most fun with this one. Now I can digitally insult people from within the safety of my own vehicle without even having to make eye contact or extend certain fingers. Love it. Not sure if this is possible, but I would definately pay for a version that would allow me to set this as a screensaver, wallpaper, etc.

Banner scroll. Okay, yeah, turn your $400 iPhone into a $100 belt buckle Seriously though, this is a cute little app, that 100% delivers. Granted a speed controller would be nice, but my big issue may not be able to be resolved: duration. You get maybe two scrolls before the Pod shuts down it's screen. So, MY suggestion for the next great version would be to have some way to fake a screen input or something and have a timer to run. That way you can set it to scroll for an hour, or a day (if it's plugged in). Maybe all that stuff should be in the paid version. Ohhh.... add color options too.

It works as described. Nice simple app that does what it's described to do....plus you can't beat the price = FREE! It is somewhat slow -- would love to see an update that will fix that & add more features. But it's fine for now. This is my new "creative" way of telling the driver next to me what I think of them. ;-)

Expand freedom of text.. Anyone who wants to know why it's crashing. It's because your message is to long. Delete the app and re-download. Then shorten your messages. They'll probably fix it soon.

Cute idea, needs settings. This scrollinh marquee message program could actually have some real applications, but it's lacking basic controls to select display speed and color. The default scroll speed is far too slow. Also, having the potential to pick from a quick list of messages would make it much more useful.

Absolutely awesome. Really simple technically, but incredible in concept - what a great idea - possibilities are infinite - awesome way to give ur number to the opposite sex in a bar or club if you and he/she have been eyeing eachother for example and arent in voice-reach :-p

Simple yet useful. This app has a well-designed user-interface. It does one thing and does one thing well. I think I'll find many uses for it.

Awesome. It is a really great app especially for the price lol but I went to a concert last night and was almost at the front (general admission) and it would have been great to take the iPod touch I own and give the band a message but I decided not to take it because it could get lost since it was crowded

It doesn’t have a close button.. You cannot close it without opening another app and swiping this one away. There’s always a white advertisement on the bottom 1/10th of the screen. It’s too hard to find the text size and not enough variety in the font, size, and speed. The brightest yellow color was still a little dark thanks to the pixelation.

Awesome. awesome! I do a lot of shows and works great as an advertising tool for my booth. Also use it on the back window of my truck as it scrolls my web site.

Hey, it was free.... ...so not complaining. But perhaps a couple of suggestions for version 1.1: first... why not slap some color on this thing? Would be nice to make the "LEDs" yellow or red or whatever color. Secondly... being able to alter the speed ofcthe message going by would be quite handy. We're not ALL slow readers!

It does what it advertises and it does it well.. This is a simple banner app. I don't know why anyone would think it was anything more. It's free and it scrolls text. People pay $50 for beltbuckles that do this, so I can't see the problem. Is it useless? Pretty much. I guess if you were seated across from a buddy at a game it would be kinda fun. Or if you're driving and you want the guy behind you to know what's on your mind when he's tailgating you. It delivers on what it promises and it does so in a way that is simple and direct.

Great alternative to texting in class.. I used to use this in school when I didn't have a phone. I have a phone now, but I still use it:p it doesn't make one noise ;D

Performs as promised. Very well done! I'll be ready to pay for the next version when enhancements mentioned by others are implemented. For those who see no use for this program, it is just simply FUN! I scored points with my wife of 30 years with the love message I flashed her! Thank you!

Scrolling text. Well, it does what you'd expect; scrolls whatever text you type in (touch screen to change). I feel as if there is some use for this I'm not seeing...maybe flashing messages to other drivers in your car? Nah, don't do that. It needs a speed adjustment option, though, and a color picker would be a good addition. I certainly never would pay for this app, unless I discover that amazing use for it that I still haven't thought of.

Pretty good.... I am glad that I can finally find a text scroller for my iPod that doesn't require Internet connection, but I just hope that an update will be realeased soon that gets rid of those extra little dots that trail after what you typed. Sometimes it even cuts letters and symbols in half! Well, just the last letter or symbol in the phrase. But, even so, in the end it does what it is progammed to do. Everyone I have tested it on is able to read it clearly. I will say though that it could use a boost in speed as well. Other than that, for being free, it is a great app.

Banner Free, speed slow. this was one of my early apps to download and after watching updates and downloads from other apps I was hoping for an update that would allow speed control and maybe a few other options..that said it is a great lil app that is ez to use and error free TTFN GIF

Cool but.... Its a great idea but you would have to have a realy short intention span to sit there and "play" with this app. It's pretty cool but after 2 min. you get board because it takes forever for it to role across the screen. Plus if you accidentilly touch the screen it has to start over all again. Also the colors re soooo extremely boreing. More colors and a faster speed would be excelent if you would ever use an app like this

Out of box thinking!. A punk rocker at a bar was holding up their iPhone and I had to find out what cleverness was that. Brilliant! Would reccommend future features like color, speed, rotation, flash and icons.

Crash. This app was recently updated for the first time in ages, and now it crashes instantly. Nailed it!

I love this thing.. I use it all the time, putting different messages to my girlfriend on it. just messin around. It’s pretty cool.

Nice bit I'd pay for a few more features. This is a great little app that I'm still trying to find a use for. I'm sure I find one. The only bug i found was that the last character ends up displaying incorrectly. Adding a space after the last character takes care of it but it shouldn't have too. It would also be nice to be able to define background/text color, scroll speed, and vertical/horizontal orientation. Add those and I'd pay for the app!

Also crashes for me. I have had this on my iPhone's since my 3GS. Recently after an update, it commenced to insta-crash. Pity.

Fun toy!. Simple idea but awesome execution! This will work great at a concert or loud bar, write a note and hold up your phone! Possible improvements would be a speed setting. The default speed is kind of slow.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. I can't see anything wrong with a free app that does exactly what it says it does-with a big scrolling banner you can tell make yourself heard in the loudest place and from a long distance away. Cool, simple app.

Slow. Way too slow !

Banner Free. Had to rate this 5. It's free, wonderful app too, and easy to use. I don't know why people are complaining-you guys, ITS FREE!!!!  

Pretty good but a few errors.. There are some errors in this app that I would like to point out to the developer of this app. • the app SOMETIMES crashes. • TYPO: Muisc not playing. Otherwise I would've rated this 5 stars. Overall this is a really good app. I compared this with BannerFlo and this app has more options but BannerFlo doesn't crash all the time... 😄 Thanks.

Impressed but not enough customization. I tried Chinese characters on this little app and it displayed them with no problem at all. Having said that, this app could do better with the ability to change speed and colour..

its ok. its not a bad little app but in the new update it needs 2 be able 2 handle longer messages ive tried typing to the right edge of the box but when i run it, it crashes so i have 2 uninstall it then re-install it all over again!

Looks ok, is free, but lacks features. Too simple. Not very useful. There's almost no chance you'll ever be in a situation where:"I wish I had that Banner Free program" comes to mind. But, it is free, so nice one!

CRASHES IN IOS4. Used to work great.

This version is a regression in usability rather than an improvement.. I was disappointed to find that the only evidential change to this app was the addition of an ad to buy the purchasable version, and the reduction in size of the text input box. The earlier version was a great app and easier to use.

This person want your money!!!. It is ultra slow now on this free application compare in the past. The setting page mentioned need upgrade a better version (pay) in order to make things work again.

Pointless. All it does is show you what you type in, you can't set it as a background or any thing cool like that. Gets old very quick not some thing I would pay for.

Very Cool :-). It is very original, a must have on your iPhone! Now, I have to requests to make to the developper. First, we need to be able to change the color of the banner, may be even pick random different colors for each letter! Also, It would be very handy to be able to preset a few messages and be able to change them quickly with a "spinning menu". Hope to see those features in the near future!

Don't update - this is an ad version. No integrity. Mentions taking simple app free and making it a free app. That's a lie. This now adds the ad overlay. Making it slower and now takes what was useable and makes it garbage. I for one have found others and I am removing it and any other products from this vendor. No Integrity.

Name of game. Dose what it says but what's the point? A banner thing woohoo how fun but I did think about one tjing people clould use it for, if your selling something or wanting to show people sum than it's just a banner but it takes awhile for the words to go by. Great app! Even with Chinese!. I'm surprised it even works when I types in Chinese characters! Great when I need to flash a message across the room.

Great! But found a glitch. Ight it's a great app. But I typed in a fairly long message and when I exited so it plats the message the app closed. Now whenever I open it, it opens for half a second and then just closes! I think I might have to uninstall then reinstall. Other then that it's a great app!

More Options Please. The app would be that much better if we had some font color options and if the banner scroll speed could be adjusted. Fun App to envoke creativity.

This is a fun app.... But you should have an update where you can change the speed and color. Or add some animations like fireworks.

Keeps on Crashing!. It worked the first time I used it. Then, when I added my own personal note, it crash and the app never open and worked again. It completely f@&$$k up my iPhone 3g. The screen went blank for about a minute. Hope they fix the problem. It's a really shame it didn't work.

Fun for work. This is great for using across the office floor! Gets people's attention and you get your message across.

Needs to work with iOS 4.0. Will only show the last entered message. If I touch my iPhone 3G screen, this app closes. It does not display any editing aids. Must need updating for 4.0. Please update soon.

Save your space. It does what it says it does...it's a simple marquee banner. It would be better if you had color options, or it worked as a screen saver. It's not terrible, but I don't know that it's worth the space it takes. At least they have the right price!

Great banner!. This banner is pretty fun. It's basic but does the job well. I can't wait for the updated version. Great for getting your message across at those boring meetings. :-) ;)

Works!. What can I say, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I gave 4 stars instead of 5, because it's very bare-bones. No way to change speed, or save multiple messages. But I like the price!

freakin sweet!. just what i need! perfect for banner-displays. instead of those bulky LED screens, hook this onto your belt for the perfect buckle! only complaint; you cant change the color.

Developer, please fix last character. Works great except the last character gets mangled. Developer, please fix. As a workaround, add several spaces and a full stop to the end of your message.

Needs to have faster scrolling. This was fun to play around with, but would actually be more useful if the speed of the scrolling text could be faster.

Crashing app.. I got to change the sentence on the app one time, then when I tried to change the sentence the second time, it closed the app and went back to the page where you choose an app to play (I can't remember what it's called). (a.k.a., the app crashed). So I deleted it so it didn't frustrate me.

Simple and fun!. Needs color and speed controls and then charge a buck or two since it's unique even if hardly essential.

Update has Ads. Now we have to suffer with dumb ads popping in. At least I can block them with a bit of tape or piece of paper. This version has lots more options and is much faster, with a speed control too.

Gets the job done. Speed control, please! How am I supposed to let the hot girl driving next to me that she's hot if she can read my banner as I show it to her from my driver side window?! Now she'll never know that she's hot!!! ;-)

slow and crashes. i downloaded this inspite of the poor reviews about not being able to control the speed. I agree with that but even worse when I launched it the second time it crashed my phone! eventually i got it restarted and immediately deleted this app!

Crashing Problems. When I was checking out the app, it all of a sudden closed. I tried opening it again and it keeps on closing. Other than that, I love this app!!!

Think about it... your in class... the teacher is watching you... but all of a sudden.. u pull out ur iphone/itouch.. write a msg and slide it across the ground to the person you are communicating with.. it worked for me :)

More functionality, if possible?.. Please?. The app is great but the speed is just killing me - actually, not me but my phone - by the time the entire short phrase I put in is eventually displayed, my phone already goes into the standby mode LOL

Very nice, but.... Why does the good version have to be a whole buck??!! It's good, but I really wish they could just combine the two, and have it still free. Oh well. I guess I don't get everything I want. Fairly good app though.

Does What it says. Sometimes the last letter will be messed up, but still readable. Works well for making friends lose the game from across the room.

Nice but some Features missing. it's a very nice app, but i miss the option to control the speed of the scrolling, and it got problems with the last character, but a very good app!

FUN. It's fun to show off to friends, works well for me, never crashed, an option of changing color would be appreciated!!! 

Nice, but scrolls too SLOOOOWW!. Would be more fun to communicate to friends across the room if the message did not take a minute to read. Please make a speed setting :)
