Before You Download. I’ve been playing Lingyun for a while now, and its a great game that I highly recommend. It has a fun, engaging, and compelling storyline, beautiful graphics and animations that you can tell took time and effort. There are multiple different sub-characters with various backgrounds and storylines, *beautiful* voice acting, and just an overall high quality. As someone who never spends money on mobile games, I’ve come across multiple different games requiring you to pay to advance - Lingyun is far from the case. Advancing and leveling up is still fun and rewarding even after months of playing. It takes effort and time like all games, but you can still advance without spending every waking moment playing (or more importantly, without paying).

Lovely game however... I enjoy the game graphics a lot and the plot however the herb cuisine activities is tad too difficult for those who are inexperienced

Poor Chu Tang😔. I absolutely LOVE this game and the story line. At first I only downloaded the game because of the beautiful outfits and styles, but when I really got into the game, I got hooked on hard with the drama😩 But anyways, let’s talk about Chu Tang! She deserved better, she was framed and unalived herself!

THE GAME IS AMAZING but.... I LOVE THIS GAME! The outfits are beautiful, the heroes and other characters and beautiful and handsome, You can make friends on there and build your relationships in troth! you can adopt cute girls and boys too! but.. Ever since I got full requirements to adopt a child it says "I have to be a reliant guardian." which confuses me. It's not that my game crashed either it just doesn't work for me and if I don't adopt I wont be able to live my dream of have virtual children!!😖 It's an amazing game experience overall! I just hope someone could help me with getting rid of the error. Thanks for reading!

SO COOL. When i first got a ad for this, I thought the game was bad like other moblie games, but when I downloaded it It was so cool and it was addicting

Love it!. You can tell this game was thought out carefully, and it came out great! The characters look amazing, and summoning looks stunning! This is the first game of this type I actually enjoy!

Woah. I started this game because I saw an ad and it interested me. I honestly thought it was going to be another one of those quickly made pay-to-wins, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the game. It’s genuinely interesting and has animated scenes, which impressed me quite a bit. Overall, it’s a great game! It’s not my favorite genre, but I know those who enjoy this type of game will love it.

It’s Unbalanced. I was enjoying the game and so was everyone else until the server merge. Now there’s a huge imbalance between servers 1-4 and servers 5-8. Genuinely feel that things should go back to the way they were. I’ve had friends quite the game, resenting how much money they had waisted now that they stand no chance in any cross-server events. Please change it back.

a product of love. i’ve only been playing for about two days but, there are full blown artwork cutscenes and voice dubbing. not to mention the voices MATCH the mouths too. And the english translation seems perfectly fine so far. I can tell a lot of work went into this game. good luck Friendtimes!

surprisingly engaging and fun. going into this game, i expected it to be just like other games advertised similarly like king's choice or fate of the empress, but it is actually SO FUN! the mystery aspect is so intriguing and has a very fun plot line. i was surprised how attached i got to the characters. i also love the animated parts. they are so cinematic and beautiful. there is also a fairly simple interface that makes it easy to play and very fun. i cannot reccomend this game enough!

I rated this two stars because:. 1. It isnt what the add says it is 2. At a point its a fight with the queen and its just to hard I gave up. 3. Its a fun game dont get me wrong and the story line👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 4. I think they should atleast make it so you can skip a task cause if u don’t complete it you cant move on.

Amazing.. When I got the ad for this, I thought it was going to be one of those poorly made mobile games. But after a while (and like twenty more ads) I decided to cave and download it. AND I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID. I got so involved that I was actually sobbing during that part of the storyline. (No spoilers) And I love the customization option, so pretty. Love the game, and I look forward to seeing even more! (Here’s hoping that it doesn’t turn into genshin impact 2.0)

🪷great game🪷. I just downloaded this game and I’m already on chapter 2 which is fun but the sad part is that my characters friend chu tang is sentenced to death which is really sad because she reminds me of my irl friend who always looked after me. Don’t get me wrong it is a fun game to play when you have some free time but it’s sometimes sad as well. 🪷I hope you guys have fun with this game🪷

Oh my frickin god. I downloaded this game because I wanted to play a fantasy game, but this is amazing. The graphics are super good, the characters are elegant, and the storyline is simply heart throbbing. 5 stars.

LOVE IT. Honestly I was surprised how good this game is, usually I don’t really last in rpg cuz sometimes I got bored but this one is different. This one has good storyline which is actually entertaining and fun to watch. The animation is so good also the art. The only thing I hate the most is level grinding. Once ur in level 30 it gets harder to grind and also you can’t access the story if you’re not in the level they require. Overall this is a great game and definitely recommend for people who loves to play RPG’s with great animation, art, and storyline.

Fantastic, One of the Best Games in the App Store. This game is a hidden gem. Interesting storyline, amazing art style, fun activities, and really nice social interaction with the friendliest players I’ve seen in any game. It’s similar to the excellent Fate of the Empress, but with watercolor graphics. Plus, it’s kind to both free to pay and paying players. Definitely worth a try! The only downsides are that the nighttime activities are too late (11pm EST) and that there’s an awful lot of luck involved.

Better than I thought lol😍. So I download this game to see if it was bad because other games that say there like this not good but than I see the game it's not bad and no lag outfits are good you get to have choices and fighting choose outfits and makeup so over all I think this is good!

AWESOME game! Just a few upsets!. I would rate it a 5 star! There is just a few things that upset me. At level 20 things start to change. You would have to level up to go to the next story but that kinda annoys me. Another thing is for the pet the cats have a HIGH percentage to get a cat. I have to sell them. I also cannot equip all the pets I have to hero’s. If I had five pets it would only show 4 of them. There is a high percentage to get a sr! I’m glad this game exist and I’m happy to play it! I’m not saying to change it just saying the upsets! If you could change it a bit that would make me happy! But you don’t have too! Keep up the great work!

actually fun!. at first looks it might look like your average “choose your faith" games but, its beyond better then that! I love how the story portrays the (female) character wanting to be a strong women. Despite the story, everything else is also very amazing! Not to mention, if your a new player it’s very easy to get good at the game. I have been playing for less then 1 month and already at level 50! The character designs are AMAZING!! It really caught my eye when I saw those pretty dress and hairstyles. The game also has real players you can interact with, I’m very happy how everyone is positive and not cursing or insulting others in the chat.

Nice game.. This game has a very nice story and beautiful details. I’m extremely happy with it! However, I noticed that it can be very buggy, at least on cellular data. Also, it would be nice to have some sort of offline mode so I can play on the go more reliably.

I love this game. At first I was just getting this game as a joke, but then I realized how fun is this. The animation and drawings are incredible and the story is even better. There are no ads at all as well. This game is awesome and fun and you should definitely consider downloading.

CHU TANG😭😭. Surprisingly, this is actually an amazing game. The ad made me download it as a joke to try and make my character homosexual as advertised but I’m so invested in the story now. I found it so good that in that when Chu Tang committed suicide in the jail I cried. Especially when her letter said “I’m too tired and too lonely. I must find him in another world.” It hits GOOD and it hits HARD. We decorated the crescent house for her to come over and she never did. I hope we never have to change that flower vase because that one is really important to the memory of Chu Tang. This game has good voice acting a fun play style and pretty and interesting characters, like the main character’s depth of men not taking women in court seriously and her fathers disapproval. I can’t wait to see how the story develops. And I hope the adds aren’t lying about becoming a homosexual. My girl needs a wife❤️❤️❤️

Underrated. Insanely high production with very low ratings. Makes you think this isn’t a good game but it is more engaging and addictive than most big title mobile games.

Best game ever 😊. Ok literally this Is probably the first ever game I actually wrote a review on. The animations are crazy amazing. The voice acting is so good. The artstyle is super pretty and is just like my type. I also love how the ads are exactly the same as the game. The ads don't lie guys.

Good game, that new update tho 😳🥴. I swear to the holy god this game is literally calming, soo many outfits with each looking absolutely stunning, but this isn’t what this review is about, rather the ‘Heir’ thing. Me personally I have yet to unlock the feature but from the video played once you open the game I cant already tell your game will become majorly boosted, the ability to have an heir with from what I can guess etheir your favorite character or a friend, both of which is good. Just know you guys have made the absolute correct decision in creating the most cracked people making ridiculously big litters of about 11 children each, but fear not for these creatures are not rats around the city, but an army getting bigger each year. To summarize it, 10/10 adding some awards there too.

WOW!! d(^_^o). I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this game. I saw ads about it everywhere…and it really intrigued me. I tried their other game—Fate of The Empress—but it wasn’t it for me. The problem is I REALLY LOVE playing as a character in historical China. I decided to give this game a try, not expecting much and thinking I would delete it soon. But I got hooked 😅 The animations/art were stunning and it wasn’t challenging. Just something you would play to unwind after a long day. The storyline is also phenomenal. It really impressed me. I think it’s an improvement from Fate of The Empress (no hate, my personal opinion). Would definitely look forward to another game from the developer if the graphics and gameplay is just as good. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

BEAUTIFUL AND A GOOD STORY.. This app has so many features and characters it’s crazy. The amount of detail is amazing. I downloaded it for a quick play because I was bored- and I played for 5 hours straight! It had an amazing plot and battle in-between. Customize character, choose your own personality, relationships, and more. I absolutely love this game and I recommend trying it if you like a good story. :)

OMG YES!. OMG this is the best game I have played in my whole life. If it had any more stars, I would rate it one million out of one million! The voices are beautiful, the music is lovely, and being Chinese, I understand everything and the translation is amazing! Surprisingly good. The story is good so far and there aren't any intrusive ads or overkill pop ups to get you to spend money surprisingly. I think there’s like one pop up telling you about rewards for spending money, but I’ve only gotten it upon opening the game.

Great game except one thing. So I’ve only been playing for a day and it’s super addicting! Great graphics i love how the female lead is all about not wanting to be a helpless women but i really want to start a bond with Mu Lingye i love his bird and i think his character has the best looks out of them all there are 5 people you can bond with but not him why? I know he’s rude on the first meet but i think if we where able to get to know him hed be a better character overall PLEASE LET ME DATE HIM

So fun. Okay I found this game and so far I’m in love with it the graphics and story line is amazing and the most of the people playing are super nice. I’ve been playing this game for about 4 months now and i have no problems with it ps im nas 11s jichu.

I’m crying. This game is so much fun it’s everything i ever thought of but…… I deleted the game thinking I will download it later when I have enough space and when I download it back it did save all my data. But when I deleted it again and signed in with the same account it refreshed it!. I was so sad and when I tried to see if there was any login button I saw one but it was with Facebook not gameplay. So I am really sad right now please fix this.

Very good. This game is pretty good. When you first download it you have to press the world icon in order to change it into english. It doesn’t automatically set for you. After that though the game is really fun and the english translations are good.

Better Than I Expected. I don’t ever write reviews ever but this game has me impressed. I’ve been playing for less than an hour so I can’t really say much but first impressions are great. The voice acting is fantastic. It sounds very professional and like you’re watching a drama. I’m a huge fan of C-drama so I’m a big fan. The character is adorable, the art is beautiful, the whole vibe of the game is great. I really like the whole general layout of the game and how it’s made. It’s unlike any other games of this type that I’ve played. One thing I was really pleasantly surprised about is the animation clips. It’s like you’re watching a Chinese animation cartoon! As a Chinese person, I feel this game comes the closest to capturing that drama-cartoony vibe that is unique to Chinese culture. So far, I would definitely recommend you try the game.

Amazing!. I rarely to never write reviews but I had to here! I want to start of by saying that if you like historical cdramas you will like this game. I just started playing today but so far I really love the game. The storyline is beautifully written, not to mention the art!! From the drawings to the animations. Feels like I’m watching a donghua! I also love the chibis 🥰 i can’t say how it will fare in regards to character build etc. in later gameplay but so far it’s a ftp game. Also, the soundtrack is beautiful! I tried to find it on apple music but shazam couldn’t pull it up so I guess it’s not on there sadly 🥲

Why-?. I claimed the stickers for the celestial globe thing but I never actually got the stickers like. On the globe thing it shows I claimed them but never got them and am not able to use them. Please people I just the the stickers so I can use them. I spend two days for them and now have gone 2 days without them because the game refuses to give them to me even though I claimed them.

Gay rain gay frogs idk. This game is pretty good, I know people including me are gonna skip a good amount of dialogue and story, the story line is actually hella dramatic and you’ll find yourself invested once you actually read it. The gameplay flows nicely even if it gets repetitive. Other then that it’s a good game with pretty art and a riveting story. Also love how our character nearly got assassinated like twice

Unique. I can tell the people who made this game definitely put a lot of thought into it. The English translations are pretty good and the storytelling + setting are very unique. I like how each character’s attacks have their own special kind of cutscene and the kind of anime art style they use to make it more lively; those probably took a lot of effort. And I like the VAs’ voices, very soothing : )

CHU TANG ☹️. I really only got this app expecting to delete it within days but after getting invested in its unique storyline I’ve become a fan! ALSO SPOILERS: chu tang’s suicide has made me so unbelievably devastated and this game actually makes me feel sad for characters I can understand their feelings and another reason this game is great is the graphics,pretty character design and the great voice acting! If you haven’t played the game I would recommend it!

Love the game! But…. I really really like this game, the story is just grand! However, I would like there to be more options in the characters you are able to BOND with. (I don’t know if it’s different depending on the character’s gender, for example mine is male but there’s only four characters.) The character I was really hoping you would be able to bond with was the Crown Prince Mu Lingye (I really like him and his little bird!) That’s really all I hope you add into the game. Thank you so much developers, your game turned out really pretty and fun!

🙄. Loved the game in the beginning, pretty easy to learn the ropes, storyline is steady and interesting. but my god is it hard to level up your mite. i couldn’t handle it, once you get passed like 200,000, it’s hard to move forward. this wouldn’t be much of a problem if the game didn’t make you fight characters with levels that were too high. gaining mite is really slow and you can only do so many things with so so little “chances”. i was level 58 before i deleted it.

Beautiful Game~ Bottomless Money-Hole. Loved the game at first, appeared to be a lot to do, events to keep us busy, and a storyline that just kept going… but once you hit those level caps, it takes a day and a half to 2 to level, then 2 becomes 3 and 4 LOL It’s really grindy. You’d think that you could do everything in about 20-30 minutes, but sometimes you have to commit 1-2 hours instead of if you want to CONTINUE to grow. If you miss a day or simply not do absolutely EVERYTHING you can, you fall behind quickly, especially if others are shoveling money into the game. The pricing is ridiculously expensive, and a lot of the time requires you to buy multiple tiers of something (increasing by 20-30 dollars each time ~ and sometimes more) until you get the time that is actually good. It becomes very slow and repetitive, and the stories stop making sense after awhile. Almost a popularity/socialization game with strangers while the creators shovel money into their bank account.

Much Better than expected. I played several of friends times other games, and the ones from before… it’s way too hard as a none pay player. This game though, so far so good, as long as you out the time into bettering your might and characters you are off to a good start! The graphics are amazing and the game setup is much better than all the other games! Definitely give it a try when you are wanting to kill sometime or just make friends with others.

Great Game!!!!! Luv it!. This is most definitely the best game I have EVER played. The graphics are beautiful and just stunning. Actually being able to socialize with other players is also a wonderful experience. The mentor-mentee relationship gains you more experience of the game, and the troth just gives you LOTS of fun activities to do together. The new heir system is also SUPA fun AND cute! One minor flaw is maybe how you get the costumes. Ingots are pretty hard to collect and many needs loads of it. Some events also needs paying. Younger players may not be able to pay due to certain circumstances. The game is said to be 12+, and not every child has control over their money yet. So I hope these flaws get changed. Overall, it is a WONDERFUL gaming experience. I am totally addicted to it now~ thank you SOOOO much Friend Times for creating a wonderful and sensational game. Really just THANK U! ʚ(◜𖥦◝ )ɞ

Surprisingly Good. I actually think this game is pretty good if you want to wind down and relax in my opinion. The characters, costumes and storyline is very nice and beautiful to the point I kept on playing for 4 hours. What I also like is the fact that the auto system is very helpful and very prominent throughout the game. However, I think some items are quite expensive and hard to obtain but I’m pretty sure It gets easier if you progress further in the game. So if you’re just playing it, don’t get intimidated by the prices, be patient and progress. Overall, after playing this game for a week, I found myself enjoying it.

V. good gaming experience. Even though I've only played Promise of Lingyun for barely a year, I can tell it is a very good game. The images and background are super nice and very Chinese ink art-like. The character interaction is also very very nice. Another pro is that we can interact with other players and make bonds like mentors, mentees and even troths. The only downside of this game is that you HAVE to pay to get higher might in short amount of time. The VIP's need a LOT of jad and the only way to get that is by paying. I understand that the company needs this to make a profit, but please can not ALL events need to be paid. Thx! But overall great gaming experience! Thé game in general. Thé game in general is good but the next day I logged in the game decided to crash and not work for me, all my friends were gone and the timers reset nothing could work. This game left a good first impressions for me, but the next day my wallet is leaving this game. I like to spend money on games that r good and that I enjoy to play in.

Not A Good First Impression…... The Pros= Pretty and the Story doesn’t seem all that bad either. Good Story. The Cons= I feel the Choices that I have made doesn’t affect the Result that I get. And I’ve only played this for only a little thirty minutes. And I kind of wished there was more choice making and less Story as Good as the Story was. I was really in to it but it was just a little much talking/reading for my tastes. Sadly there isn’t not enough there for me to keep playing much less keep this app on my phone. Awesome game!!. Promise of Lingyun has a compelling story with an addicting gameplay system. It is very easy to progress early on, and it’s very fun to grind. You have the ability to communicate with other players. The userbase is friendly and helpful, which is great. The character designs are beautiful and the art style is very pleasing to look at. Unlike a majority of the advertisements, the game is mostly in 2D, with cute chibi sprites scattered around the world. The game is PTW, however F2P players can also progress well. There is a gacha system for the battle feature and early on it’s very easy to get good characters. Overall, this game surprised me with how good it is, especially since it’s a mobile game. There’s quite a lot to do. If you want to add me I’m Korres on NA-S19 btw lol

I actually made some really good friends here. I love the outfits so muchhh buy i feel like some of the chibi’s could use some improvement. Issue. Promise of lingyung has a good story to it and its fun to play but when i went to play i had to restart building my account for some reason.
