I can’t login if I don’t have an account on a console?. I played last year and never had to log in using a console of any kind. I’m stuck at the main screen bc it wants me to set up an account using a console. I only play mobile. Any way around this?

The worst scan app they ever made. I’ve scanned my face like 10 times, none remotely close to looking like me at all!! The past 5 years all had better technology than this. Yaw need to bring back last year's app and just rename it 2k23 because this complete garbage. Might as well choose a default face smh

Great for creating Monsters before Halloween. This is hands down the best App on the Playstore to turn yourself into a monster. There’s plenty of other also free applications that can do this, but if you like ball and spooky season use this app. Only thing that is missing is monster mash animations in game to really give it the edge, or every game should be the Halloween game for the added vibes.

Great app. This is a really good app for entering locker codes and looking at my team news, but it’s 4 stars not 5 because it makes me re login every time I want to get into the app.

*sighs* lucky it’s a free app. The app works for a day . No that’s too much time. The app works for 2 hours then the next day when I try to use it , it glitches. Doesn’t let me sign with my Xbox live account . I have to delete the app and reinstall for it to work correctly for the next two hours . Then I have to delete it again , like a continuous cycle of foolishness. I know 2k servers are terrible at times , but even the APP???? Geesh

Face scan doesn’t work whatsoever. I tried different lighting, backing up from the camera, taking up all the space and no matter what I do it never scans. Bro 2k20 and 2k21 did my scans perfectly. I never played 2k22 so I can’t say anything about those but please fix this man. This is so sad for a company that has in game inflation every year

Bring back the old MyNBA2K. I remember when you could earn vc on this app and it was a card collecting game with it that was fun and a way to earn vc but now all they want is your money and make you forced to pay for this game to earn anything.

You Had One Job 2k. This app doesn’t work for current gen at all. It just makes a squished alien head with 1% accuracy to the face scan you make on the app. Also it failed to download the scan data on your current gen console, after 10 mins of waiting for the scan to be put on my myplayer. All 2k had to do was just keep the same stuff on app from last year, but this year it doesn’t work anymore. They tweaked something for no reason and now you can do a facescan in NBA2K23 anymore. Pretty pathetic for a multi-millionaire company. Don’t even bother to download this broken garbage of an app. I also had zero issues with the facescan app for the last decade so I don’t understand why this app is sucking now all a sudden. You had one job 2k. Fix your broken app if you care about your community.

Disappointed. App could be so much better if they gave you options to buy/sell players,auction house etc etc until the developers do that not worth wasting the space on your device

You can experience real nba life from all through out ancient nba history from the 1940s to the 2000s this game changes your life it changes you and your actions and personality you will not believe me now but when you do that’s when the fun starts because if there’s anything that is making you depressed or mad this is the game for you and it’s so popular it’s new and I know your going to like it get ready everybody this is gonna be a new experience for you a friend or a family member!

Face scan for current gen is broken.. I’ve tried many times to get this face scan to work. With varying lighting and angles, the result being a squished face alien pretty much every time. I’d like to add I’ve had 0 issues with this feature in past two iterations of the game, they were spot on. This year is different. The app is also glitchy and still can’t retain your log in information. Good to see at least you guys are talking about it here, 2k certainly won’t. Very disappointing.

This App is terrible. I’ve been scanning my face into 2k since 2k18 so I would definitely say I got the hang of it by now. First it was bad enough that I couldn’t log in the sever when the app first came out. Now that is fixed I still can’t scan my face. The app doesn’t detect my face unless I constantly close & open the app when scanning. 2K y’all really need to get it together because this is ridiculous. I really wouldn’t even give it 1 star cause if it’s not one thing it’s the other

Worked fine for me. idk why there is so much hate, this is the best the head scan has worked in years (for me at least). if you come out looking like a “monster” as the other reviews say, then try going outside when its not too sunny out but theres good lighting. The sun will make your face a lot more red so make sure it aint too sunny. Hope this helps someone.

Doesn’t Work. I’ve tried to do a face scan more than 10xs and it never works. 2k knows it doesn’t work and they’ve done nothing to fix it. This is a feature that separates 2k from other games, since it doesn’t work for ps4 it makes the game less appealing. People really love seeing there real face and now everyone looks exactly the same. This needs to be fixed asap

2k what happened?. When I first downloaded this app the face scan worked completely fine. Now it doesn’t work no matter what I try. 2k you gotta fix this. Like seriously it was fine at the beginning but now the face scan is completely inoperable.

Face scan inaccurate. Been on the facescan since 2k started it. This is by far the least accurate. I literally loaded my face on to 2k22 with a couple tries. This year they screwed up my face and only changes so slightly when I reupload. Not good at all, I’ve tried probably 20 times now.

Literally trash. This piece of dog won’t even let me sign in. This is probably the most dog water piece of crap app i’ve ever seen and gotten in my life. It’s literally trash don’t waste your time getting this app. The graphics are even garbage. It has worse graphics than the original Nintendo. Not to mention the face scan doesn’t work and it make u look like the mole off of slugterra. Just a horrible app don’t get it.

Face scans. I’ve been doing face scans since they first came out and this is just terrible I got the iPhone 14 and it still barley works do better it’s so annoying I’ve been doing this face scan for like 2 hours now and still haven’t gotten it

Face scan is broken. For the past few years face scan has been completely inaccurate giving a face that doesn’t even resemble me and a skin tone that is far from mine as well. I suspect that 2K doesn’t care about this feature of the game anymore given it hasn’t been even close to reality in some time. Very disappointing. I would have given this a zero star rating if that was an option.

Best one yet. Idk what y’all talking about, This is the best face scan I’ve done yet. Granted I am on next gen. But I’m very satisfied. My player looks exactly like me. I no longer feel weird putting clothes on a man who looks nothing like me

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. If you download this app you will get nothing. Last year it was completely fine, now they changed something and it was ruined. I don’t know what they changed but they need to CHANGE IT BACK. It is a big letdown for such a gigantic company because it’s also hard to make a ‘cool’ face on the game. The game is good the app is trash.

You Had A Simple Job. I can’t even get into the game when I had just got it let alone trying to play it. Even though I didn’t get to play it it was still very bad with the fact I can’t even get in the game.

Face scan is trash. First we had to deal with not being able to log in, now we have to deal with this horrible face scan. I’ve tried over and over to get my player to look like me but no matter how many time I try it never works. Someone needs to make a new basketball game cause 2K isn’t it anymore

Don’t waste your time. In all the years of face scan tech I’ve never downloaded an app worse than this one. It doesn’t even register your face consistently. It only catches one frame then it freezes and doesn’t do anything. Don’t even waste your time

Does not function. I was hoping to be a contrarian that found the app worked just fine, but no. It doesn’t work at all. Clearly the people who made it didn’t have the motivation to be doing their best on it.

Facescan Needs Improving. You might as well settle for a default face for mycareer. I’ve attempted to scan my face a dozen times+ (with the iPhone 13 Pro) and none of them came close to looking like me. The faces appears to be squished in and elongated every time. Having my face on my player every year is the one of the main things that make me excited for mycareer. This issue makes me not even want to play it.

Terrible. I was looking forward to the possibility of playing my career as a girl and I am extremely disappointed. First off I guess PC is considered current gen and does not have it… wth make it available everywhere! I’m tired of playing as a dude and want to vs Candice Parker! Just another disappointing game where they do not listen to their players.

Can’t log in. SMH idk who face they are putting on my player but it’s not mine, I’ve tried to scan my face over 20xs no exaggeration with different lighting to get MY FACE to scan but some reason it looks NOTHING like not even a tad bit. I didn’t have this issue with the 2k22 app

Face scan Literally don’t work. When I try to scan my face it gets one box checked maximum, other than that nothing ever scans no matter what lighting and position I’m in. It amazes me that the reviews of the app are actually accurate.

Don’t Waste Your Time. I spent over an hour trying to scan my face holding my phone up to my face and turning my head side to side like 30+ times like an idiot while wasting so much time accomplishing nothing. It never worked at all a single time. I tried different internet, restarting my phone, restarting the console, deleting the app and reinstalling, nothing worked do not waste your time like I did you will accomplish nothing and be frustrated like me.

Horrible Game. The most hyped game of 2022 and clearly most under developed game I ever played. I feel like I’m playing a beta version. So many bugs and glitches. They make millions of dollars every calendar year and still can’t seem to make a better game?? They are scamming.

It’s 2023 already🙄. I mean the app is useful for earning VC but the app is really outdated in terms of the use. It looks like it was made in 2004. If they were to update it that would make the app so much better but other then that the app is mid I only use it for VC.

Bring back the card games. The app was better when u could earn vc from the app by playing the card games like MyTeam all there is to it is the face scan my opinion that’s weak

made me black and beaten up. im just a normal white dude, did my face scan in bright light. the face it gave me is a black dude who looks nothing like me, he has a black eye, the bottom half of his nose is pitch black, and his mouth is covered in black sores with one random bleach-white spot on the corner?? thank you 2k. incredible job on this

It’s a functional app. Most of these reviews are just people not knowing there login or can’t hold a phone straight. If you can do both of those things you should be green.

Innacurate. So for context I am a white dude witth long hair all around my head. I spent the last 20 minutes to get my scan right so I don’t look weird. After 20 I finally get it right and it successfully scans. And wanna know what I get? A black guy with a fade. How you mess up that bad💀

Create new password. This app is horrible, trying to send a new password to my email and it does nothing. Click it, click it, click it and nothing, based on the reviews doesn’t look like I’m missing anything. If it’s not broke, don’t change it, should of left it the same. I finally remembered my password, went thru the whole process and it looks nothing like me. I used a 4 white light background shining on my face and it still looks nothing like me, not even a little close. Why have it if it doesn’t work because it used too, better at least. AKA I’m white skined, not the planet of Apes person you created from my face.

Console login issue fixed. I just tried to login with my psn again and it actually let me into the app now I’m not sure if it’s because the app was just updated or if it is a problem with using saved passwords in your devices as I kept using my saved passwords from my phone to try to login and I wasn’t able to login but this time I just typed my password in and it allowed me to login right away So I’m not sure if it’s the app update or typing your password out but the app does now work I have all my VC and everything on the app for the game

This app is garbage that is just looking for your personal information and photograph(s).. Zero stars. Period. Spent hours trying to get the face scan feature to work. All to no avail. Don't download the app, don't give them your personal information and don't give them (what will likely turn out to be dozens) of images of your face. If Sony and 2K can't even get an app to work properly, it makes me wonder how well they are actually able to protect the personal/sensitive information they demand of us. The thing that truly ticks me off about all of this is that you need to provide them with all of your personal information and detailed face scan(s) before you find out/realize that their app is junk. It's been up and running since late last summer, what the hell is the problem with getting your stuff fixed?

Face scan terrible.. Last year I scanned my face 3 times and had my character looking very much like me. This version I've scanned my face over and over and I look like a cave man every time. 👎

Face scan doesn’t work. Idk why but it won’t even let me scan my face but y’all needa fix that

Login Failure. This app still has issue with completing login been trying it over and over and it still keep saying login failure need to fix that!!!

Great app. This app works fine with me on ps4 and ps5. My facescan looks just like me to the t.

Omg 😂. This has been terrible ever sense the first one came out. Not sure why they still try it. I’m a white guy and it always makes me a black guy for starters. Never even gets my hair right or anything. Just shut the app down!

Fix MyNBA2K23 🙏. The face scan does not work to save a crappy tried 20 times never works. Thought we’ll maybe I have to go into nba 2k23 still nothing come on now. Please fix this it is upsetting many people.

Ratings on this is terrible. This is probably the worst face scan app for 2k like it works good on next gen but current gen is terrible I’m surprised they didn’t delete this by now

Wth. Rarely do I leave bad reviews, but the face scan isn’t even worth downloading! I saw the poor reviews, and still tried it out. Turns out I’m a (hefty) black male. (I’m a scrawny blonde white male🤦‍♂️) don’t download lol

Knew the deal when I walked in. …. Seen the low ratings. Still threw fifteen minutes at it maybe 20. The audacity of y’all is incredible. Delete this app from the store to save people time

Impressively Bad. Well lit room, followed instructions, yet this app doesn’t even bother to try and match your appearance. Another disappointment, but 2k continues to show they have little care for their game besides what makes them money.

It doesn’t even work. I’ve postitoned my face perfectly many times with great lightning and hasn’t scanned anything. Based off the ratings this app is trash uninstalling 😡

Don’t Bother Downloading. Man I bought 2K23 and decided to make a MyPlayer but this app doesn’t work when it comes to the face scan. This app is trash. I am regretting this game purchase. Without this experience it is just another game. 😔

Get it together. Face scan is horrible for current gen I been at it for hours trying to get it to scan properly. I never had this problem before.

Pathetic. It’s honestly pitiful that you can’t manage your MyTeam from a companion app. Fifa has had this option for something like 8 years. Sad that 2k won’t make the investment in a web app or companion app.

Bug Issues. The PSN sign-in is literally broken. Won’t let you sign in or change your password you have to go else where. When you get back to the app it’s still broken

Face scan isn’t working. I trying to do my face and it’s not working

App Crashes. Cannot connect to my Xbox account. When I did get it to go once, I wasn’t able to upload my face pictures. I paid 80$ for this game and every year I deal with this same app garbage.

Please fix!. This terrible version of the 2k23 face scan software really detaches the player from the upgraded my career story play on the game. I’ve had much better scans in every other available year.

FaceScan horrible. I attended to scan my face like a bunch of time and Mycareer still don’t even look like me. I had no problem with face scan since it came out til NOW. Y’all need to fix this!

App works now but Face scan is broke. Everytime i scan my face the app make me look like a fat caveman. I thought maybe it just me it doing this for my roommate. I scan my girl she came out the same way this is trash a joke of an application

What is the point of this app?. You took away the free daily VC years ago. Why are you still doing this? Now I can’t even log in to put in locker codes with a keyboard. Check my internet connection? Check yourself

Horrible!. If I could give it less stars I would. They say they fixed the login issues but they haven’t. Every year 2k is not ready and rushed and this is just another example of it.

I just wanted the app to work…. I see people’s messages about failed face scans… I just want my app to log in completely. I’ll try deleting it and downloading it again or something…
