Great use for Pokémon go players.. Being able to find which gyms have eggs or bosses to fight is so very useful. I've also used the chat feature to rendezvous with other players to take down a boss. it mostly works well. Sometimes I have to restart the app to see the menu.

Won’t let me host raids !. I’m not sure what the issue is with this app I love everything about campfire. Other than the fact it will let me joint raids but when I host then no one is joining but keep in mind I’ll join a raid and it’s done in two seconds lobby full of players. I’ve been trying and trying to use this app to host raids and I’ve only been successful one time other times it just says it’s finding a group of trainers and the que goes on until the raid is over. I love playing Pokemon love this app but this is a huge issues I’m not going to be spending money on remote raids just because I can’t not host them.

Amazing. This app is amazing! I’m convinced people don’t know how to use it! You can create meet ups, “light flares” aka ping players when you’re at a raid, share shadow raids (which will allow players to click the shared raid and see exactly where on the map it is), it allows you to add people by user name, you can private message people on your friends list. I could go on and on! It’s such a useful app!

Hope it Improves. User interface is confusing to navigate and could use a more simplified method of switching between games and chats. From my observation established users are signing up but not engaging very much and sticking with whatever former method they have been using such as messenger and Telegram. This is leaving the newer users and players who are giving this app a shot with unremarkable results. The developers could benefit from considering user feedback and needs to implement features which make this app more useful for it’s players.

I can’t use it.. It’s telling me to link my account to it, But I can’t link my Apple to go. Every time I try it says something around the lines of ‘you cannot link Apple to Pokémon go’ or something like that. And if I can’t link it then I can’t use campfire even tho it’s in my news. So if you can tell me why it’s not working then hopefully I can download it but for now it’s just staying deleted.

Needs fixing. I just wonder why it takes over 5 minutes, sometimes even longer to gather a party when I’m hosting . I’m already 7 minutes in and still isn’t able to find a party for a Pokémon raid? When I join one I am almost immediately taken to a raid, it just seems very unfair that when I’m trying to host I don’t get nothing, yet when I choose to join I get into a raid in no time. Not very happy with this at the moment …

Needs revisions. Super clunky user experience for Pokémon go. When you want to join first you have to wait to even be shown a raid. Then when you are sometimes it shows what Pokémon the raid is for and sometimes not. If you decide to join, then you have to wait more time for others to join. Once there are enough players then you have to hope the host is still paying attention and accepting people. Once that happens then you have to hope you actually get sent an invite to join the raid. Then when you are invited you hope that everyone else joins and or sometimes even though I was invited I can’t join. It’s a great concept, but right now it is just a bad user experience.

Ruined the game for me.. I do not know how you get an app so wrong that it makes people want to never touch the game again, but they found a way. Remote raids do not work, joining is completely broken, and there isn't even a functional chat system, just pre-made messages that don't communicate anything specific enough to get help from others. Came back to enjoy a community day with others after not playing for a long time, and it was such a mess that I uninstalled the game.

Copying Discord. Since the launch of Campfire it’s been a buggy up and down experience. It’s main purpose is served when you need to track down raids. Other than that, the UI is undoubtedly similar to Discord. The community I’m involved with has used Discord for years, and sees no reason to move to campfire other than the ambassador promo codes. The codes are clearly a desperate attempt to get people on their app but it’s too much of a hassle. Even if we decided to move over to campfire we would keep our planning on Discord. It’s just better. Now while campfire is very similar to Discord they’ve made their own changes which do not make the “Groups” customizable. It’s just sad that they have very little originality.

Nav buttons??. Y’all forgot to add navigation buttons to get back to either the previous screen or the home screen when you’re looking at a group. I gotta close the app then reopen it to get back home. Glaring oversight if you ask me. Additionally, it’d be nice to have a button to check our notifications. I’ve had a notif badge on the app icon for ages and I have no idea what the notifs are from. Otherwise, I dig this app’s potential. I’ve been waiting since 2016 for something like this. 🙃

Needs Some Improvements. I think this is a good especially for me as there isn’t to many local raids i can join so remote raiding is my main use of this..with that being said i wish this app can somehow allow the person to pick which type of raid Pokémon they want to go after i.e. select which Pokémon the person wants to raid for instead of being randomly selected into one where i might now want that certain Pokémon

Nice improvement. I love using Campfire! Saves me so much time and gas as most Pokémon Go gyms are not in easy walking distance from home. I can locate raids and plan trips to do multiple raids in a single trip. Can also communicate with other trainers about when to meet to do raids that require more participants. Nice job Niantic.

Needs updated. If you want to be left by yourself to fight a raid, or finally get a group to fight only to get kicked out because of an “error” then this is great. But if you are actually trying to win raids and catch ‘em all, this app has so many glitches. You’re better off finding a park with other players to play in person than use this. During Pokémon go fest it glitched and I was left to fight raids completely alone 6 times. Twice after that, it glitched gave me an error message and would not allow me to enter the raid. I have wasted too many remote raid passes and max revives because of this.

Get something else. Its not bad but like, theres so many other apps like this its just not worth it, the raid feature is fine i guess. it takes forever to find a group and you can only get 5 people at once, and when joining a group after waiting like 10 minutes you have to bet on if the persons gonna invite the group or not. I dont have anything to say about the groups and chats because i dont really use nor care about them.

The app is bad but improving. So yesterday was lucario raid day I had no remote raid passes so I physically went to a raid up close and I opened my campfire to host and it said there was a bunch of people online but nobody join and it said people were in the queue to joins random raid and it took forever for people to load in a raid even tho I was hosting one so i simply got no one to join my raid with no people to battle and because of that I got to battle 4-5 times and got no shinys except for that pinecone witch im grateful for 🙏

Not Seamless. It used to swap over to the app from Pokémon Go when you would press the icon in the game. Now it opens Safari and then the App Store. So why not leave a review while I’m here. A lot of times when you’re right next to a raid it won’t let you host it on Campfire, which has been a recent thing for the last few months. The notifications are more of a nightmare than Discord’s. It’s a fun app but it has gone down hill this year

What I would expect from Niantic. Niantic is so lucky they got to develop Pokémon go. Seeing how they treat their players is absolutely appalling. The shop offerings make it seem like they’re allergic to making profits. Not to mention the countless problems that never get fixed. But oh if there’s a bug that benefits the players they will have all hands on deck and get it fixed immediately. I tell my wife they make sure we can’t have too much fun. It’s insane. This company is a train wreck and owes all of their success to the Pokémon IP. This campfire app is another dumpster fire by niantic.

Honestly I recommend. Man this helped my journey to becoming a Pokémon shadow master so much. Met a great group of trainers consistently meeting up sometimes different faces for sure of all different backgrounds. Recommended if you want to save a couple bucks on raid passes too. The ambassadors of Saint Louis are cool about rewards for checking in

A half cocked idea with lazy follow through. The raid processes in Campfire are extremely frustrating. There is no way to communicate with raid groups if a Campfire name doesn’t match with the in game name, there is no guarantee or consequence if a person in the lobby does or does not accept the friend request or the raid invite, and the entire process feels very half baked. I’ve hosted three raids in Campfire, and of the three I’ve only had one where everyone in the group joined the lobby and everyone’s name matched their in game name. There are much better remote raid apps out there.

Cannot share Posts. I’m getting extremely irritated!! Because when I am actually lucky enough to catch a Shiny Pokémon I want to actually take a screenshot and post it to Campfire!! But for some unknown and annoying when I click on the button “Share to Campfire “ it immediately takes me to the App Store, then it show Niantic Campfire App, then says “Open” so when I click on it yes it opens, but my screenshot goes missing!!! And where it has view all posts where everyone else seems to be able to share their pictures of a Shiny Pokémon, it will not let me post my Shiny picture!!! The app part is fine, but it’s extremely frustrating when I want to be proud and happy that I caught a shiny, and cannot show it off!!! Because it’s constantly going to iPhone App Store to open the app but will not allow me to share anything to it!!! Please Fix this ASAP!! I want to be proud of catching a shiny instead of being extremely upset that I can’t!

The most deceiving app for raids. So I’ve used campfire for a while in hopes it helps with the problem with raiding in Pokemon go, especially in light of Niantic’s infamous decision with remote raids. I have a lucky egg going after finishing one gym and it show there’s another close by that’s said to be hosting a raid. So I’ve drove on over with nearly 4 minutes left in my lucky egg thinking I’ll make it and complete the raid with additional XP. Turns out to my surprised, the location is on private property of sort and going in would be trespassing. But the salt to the wound, no gym with no raid at all. So I’ve wasted time, gas, and my lucky egg for nothing. The closest other gym was over 12 minutes away and I couldn’t be able to pause my lucky egg timer in time. So yeah don’t trust this garbage app completely as it will lie to you, waste your time gas and everything in between, and you could potentially trespass in private property all for a gym that doesn’t exist. Niantic if you’re listening, fix your garbage excuse of a community app, you own it to yourselves after milking your playerbase of its money and location data

Honestly a great app. I love this app and I think people don’t use it enough. I had almost no one to play with in my local area other than a good friend. I found campfire and started a group for where we play. Since then it’s slowly gained more and more members now sitting at 600+ members! We’ve built an active community, super easy to get raids done now all you gotta do is ask for some help from people that are in the area! Amazing features where you can see gyms and eggs but I would say that it would be nice if there was an option to see pokestops too for people who are maybe trying to scope out a new place to play and looking for a good spot with lots of stops. Overall really good and you should download it.

Update looks great 👍. This app helped me get into raiding, it’s alright not great but they did update the ui so they are trying. They need to add something like pokegenie where you can host queue a specific raid and join any raid you want form anywhere you just have to choose an active raid pokemon in a list to join ! That would be 5 stars!!!

Keep working on it. The use of this app may just be the turning point for the game. The ability to connect with nearby trainers, be a part of a club, and more needs invested into more. Plus remove all those other games and focus on making this for Pokémon Go (: Anyways I would like to see more unique features and in game features to connect these two games. Such as group badges on profile, additional items for raiding with campfire, & group levels. I think it’ll help grow communities

It’s good for something’s. The raiding is a little tricky to navigate by that I should say bad . For 1 if you use the random join up feature it takes for ever to get in and there is 2 queues it’s just really awful but if he hears the groups with rays, people will tell you their codes and you can read that way so so great because you can see the entire maps and where what’s located Besides that though the app is really hard to navigate.

I think it’s good enough. The app functions well enough to do as it says it can do. I don’t like the fact that you have to find people locally when you find a group???? The reason I can’t raid is because there is no one locally to raid. Also there are some bugs when typing for me, it will randomly disappear. Honestly I think this app is sorta underrated, but there could be improvement.

Pikmin bloom options. I don’t play any of the other games you offer, but Pikmin bloom I spend around $100 a week on there. It would be nice if this ap had more support for the game. Actually, it has no options at all, please add mushroom raids and options for people to look for team walks and such. It would be amazing. I’ll delete this ap until that feature becomes available. Can’t wait for it it ever comes ,!,,

Great overall but can be a little dangerous for young players. This is a great app! Don’t get me wrong, this is a really good app. I’ve been using it for a few months and I’ve met really great people and even made some new Pokemon Go friends on here! But I’ve had a few deceptive moments on this app. Like a 16 year old like me that has no license to drive, I have to walk or bike to meet up with people to join raids. You gotta be careful who you meet up with because you never know what can happen. I’ve had some bad experiences on this app which I’m not going to say for obvious reasons. All I want to say is if you’re an underage player, please stay safe!

Bugged, Glitched ,and maybe Banned???. Literally cannot join any groups as soon I try just bugs out saying cannot join group at this time and then at that point it just glitches the screen to where I can’t do anything?? And I’ll be honest I do not think even without these mishaps anything would change. I remember talking to the group in my area saying if they wanted to do anything for a community day or global go fest or a shadow legendary raid and no one ever responded. I think discord and facebook groups work better. Failure of an app that could’ve had so many possibilities.

So much potential. The app isn’t bad, but the small glitches make it more of a headache to use. Hosting raids only works half of the time, and as a local group “founder” or whatever it’s called, it is good to be able to have more friends in my area to join the Shadow Raids and others that can’t be done by remote. It would be cool to expand it so groups can have world wide members and participate in raids everywhere like PokeRaid or LeekDuck. Overall, the concept is awesome, and if the glitches are worked out with hosting raids, I’d use the app for more than community day meet ups.

Needs Improvements. I like the idea of what the app is trying to be, but there are some major flaws. The most frustrating one is how difficult it is to find a specific type of raid on the map. It has to be a specific distance to see where and what the raids are, but it is way too zoomed in to even be optimal. An easy way to fix this would either be adding a filter. Being able to choose what difficulty of a raid you want and only see those selected ones would completely fix the issue right away. You could even go a step further and have a list pop up showing the raids from closest to furthest and being able to tap on it and it taking you to where it is on the map.

Terrible for raids. Trying to host raids on this app is terrible, even after long wait times to get trainers in, rarely does everyone join, and on the rare chance that everyone joins, when the raid lobby counter gets to 1 second, someone always leaves. I’ve had 7 people ready to go in a lobby, on the last second I even saw that all 7 were still in, but when I loaded into the battle, there were only 4 people with me, meaning 3 people left in the last second. This app is full of trolls, and people that don’t know how to use it at all, and this ruins the raiding experience and literally wastes peoples money.

Great for connecting with your community, still needs work. This app is a great way to connect with your local community, and is great for community days and big events aswell! I like the map that can show you raids, and it’s awesome that they updated it to show you routes too! One thing though, the raiding group section doesn’t work though, whenever I try to host a raid or join one it just never works and I have to go to pokeraid or something to raid and invite people. Overall helped me find a great community around me and my future community days will be great! 🌟4.5/5

It’s par-functional. It’s a great idea for an app. It’s not executed as well as it should be. Finding people to raid with is cool but it’s only locally unless you find friends elsewhere and ask them to send you invites to raids. But that’s if they’re playing and if they get your message even. It’s a great idea but needs to be cleaned up. More organization in the app, better chat and group chat usage and would be nice to expand playability when raiding.

Very useful app when hunting Mewtoo!!. The app provides chat room for any specific raid which could let people gather at a target time and also provide small groups so that we could share more info with each other. Furthermore, it migrates with the map great which allows me directly drive to that gym! Save a lot of time!

Campfire Nerf?. Although difficult to navigate this app fills a void that players have been waiting years for. An actual way to communicate with other players. Or at least it did until recently. The general chat was a way to connect for raids and removing it makes Campfire that much less useful. And don’t bother with the team up button. Supposedly it randomly connects players with an open raid. I don’t want a random raid and if it’s a Pokémon I don’t want, there goes a $2 raid pass just for looking at it. I don’t know personally however, because after multiple attempts I’m still waiting… The raid map and chat feature are useful, if years too late. With raids being a money maker and one of the huge draws of the game, the recent Campfire nerf is confusing and unpopular to say the least.

Why is this app so hard to use?. All I want to do on Christmas is find some Pikachu raids, but this app is impossible to use. It only displays the pokemon if the gym is visible on the map. And only then if you don’t zoom out too far. Why can’t I just search for a specific pokemon and have the app show me the locations within a certain radius? Why do I have to keep scrolling around the map hoping to MAYBE find what I’m looking for? This isn’t one of those seek and find puzzles. This is extremely not user friendly.

Could be better. App is glitchy and barely functional but I guess it does the job. There should be a feature added where you can filter through tier raids or search a specific raid boss by search bar instead of endlessly swiping through the map. That would be helpful for people who are hunting a specific boss. Also campfire requiring you to zoom in really close to see ongoing raids is ridiculous. At least make it where you can zoom out a bit more within a certain radius. Why can I only see raids 2-3 streets over? If I’m doing drive-by raids or raid hour I want a bigger radius.

Could be better. Living out in the middle of nowhere having one pokéstop and one gym make playing the game harder especially for raids but being able to join people near or far make this app so good if only they didn’t limit you to only 5 remote raids a day. I guess hosting a raid is the only way you could play with other people after you hit the limit.

Reverse Terry!. Zooming out is not an option, you have to be looking so close for a raid to actually show up in the UI (User Interface). This is an issue for rural players like myself because our gyms are very separated, it takes a lot of energy and zooming in and out to find the raid I want to go to. I know it’s not hard to implement the dynamic view at a more zoomed out aspect ratio. Y’all entirely redesigned the app, but it doesn't matter because I can’t find a single Deino raid. Add a search function and a wider lens to view raids, then you have an app worth promoting.

Clunky spam app. It’s barely function and forces you to open or click on stupid/irrelevant events. 99% of the time I just want the the map to check for raids but it forces me to click through events I will never, ever go to. I’ve started a group on there and it’s really hard to invite people. In person, I try and explain how to join and nobody gets it, because the app is clunky and nobody wants to use it. The app needs a redesign, focus on delivering first the map and then social groups THAT WE CHOOSE!

Can’t invite friends/Can’t Host Raids you want. Why can’t our friends invite their friends, it make it so much harder to party or to find ppl, yet only host can invite. Sometime you can invite friends to a raid and sometimes it doesn’t give you the option. My friends and love ones want to join me while they are far away and I can’t invite half the time or selected raid only. It should always give me the option and MORE TIME. Please fix this Invited Friends should let them invite because it’s hard to find ppl.

DOESNT WORK ON THE MOST IMPORTANT DAYS!. Today was Mega Garchomp day and not once during the 3 hour event was i able to host a raid. You have a limited number of remote raids which worked just fine today, but when i try to use the limitless amount of in person raid invites it never worked. Not a single person was ever found to join my raid group. Towards the end of the day it didn't even give me the option to host period as it said i had to be on top of a gym which i was. I could’ve gotten so much more out of today but nope. And i wont even bother mentioning the semi regular connection failures when trying to join a remote raid on any other day. FIX YOUR APPS NIANTIC!

Good idea, hard to navigate, few people use it. Don’t get me wrong campfire is a great idea. Issue is it came out 7 years after launch so we all formed our own communities or use other raid hosting apps. Meaning that the community is still dispersed over multiple apps and you typically still need to have messenger, discord, poke genie and campfire to raid in your surrounding areas. My other critique is as an App campfire is clunky and isn’t very helpful. For example I get a ton of app notifications from my friends, I click on them, brings me to update the app, after updating I open the app then can’t find the messages lol. It’s just like if you want to make this a social app make the feed a bit easier, and if you want the raid community back give some incentive so we are using 4-5 mostly 3rd party apps to coordinate in game raids. 2 stars as I know they can and will do better but for now it’s just kind of annoying lol

Would be nice to like. But Niantic is a racist and sexist company that spends $250,000 a year on a DIE employee that hates me for being a Latino male that doesn’t think men are women. Slow creeping decay in this company has led to campfire being low quality as well as a massive increase of defects in Pokémon go. Don’t spend money here. They hate you if you are straight, or white, or straight, or believe in American values. Their own new DIE hire refers to straight people, Christians, families, as human trash. More so if you are white. I’ll never spend a money on any product Niantic is even remotely related to. Signed a Latino.

Hosting raids. Finding where raids are and where to meet others is great however hosting a raid has been severely difficult. My friends have no issues with this, however each time I attempt to host a raid it fails finding no trainers to help me. I’ve even attempted to wait a full 50 minutes to no avail so if it’s possible please fix this issue ASAP so we can all enjoy the game and app together.

Set up to make you waste Premium Battle Passes. I’m getting so frustrated with how Niantic has chose to run their “party” systems in game. First it takes on average 5 minutes to find a mandatory group of 5 more people. Only for 3 of the people not to join, making you try and find a new group. The new group joins, and right before the timer hits 0 and starts the raid, the majority of the group leaves and the games horrible refresh system doesn’t tell you that people have left in time. Therefore it throws you into the raid, complete unprepared and not enough people to complete the raid. Which also results in you wasting a raid pass you spent your hard earned dollars on! So much fun!!!!

Its not bad just needs some fixes. So overall i like the app my only issue has been with hosting raids, I've hosted 4. 2 worked 2 did not work. My first try at the raid just when i got all the plays and was supposed to join the chat to invite everyone to the rsid I kept getting a error and couldn’t do it, second one went great got the players, got into the chat, it sent out a thing in chat for everyone one to click to get in the raid went great caught Moltres. Third raid did everything the second did but for some reason it told me to invite all the players to the raid manually, by the time i was able to i had to back out cause i didn’t get it done in time, fourth time worked. Overall i like the app but hopeful it will be like the second time around moving forward.

I’m loving it just one thing you have to add…. I love this app. It made Pokémon go raids so much easier for me. I just got monster hunter now and it’s a good game. Something to add to campfire to make it easier for people who don’t go places often in monster hunter now is to make it so you can invite people to a battle from campfire. If you do that I’ll surely make my rating a five.

It just gets worse and worse. UPDATE - It’s gotten worse. It now gets stuck at 4/6 players, then when it updates to 5/6 waiting for host 9/10 times it cancels. And when I host I don’t get notifications about it being full. And it doesn’t live update if I watch it either. I get notifications randomly, even when I have the app closed and not looking for a raid - got a few at 3 am. Just use Discord. At first it was great! Joined a few raids - linked with my PoGo account well. Then it was bug after bug - couldn’t access the map or list - couldn’t host - couldn’t search - stopped sending invites - constant crashes. Once bugs are fixed - it should be a 5 star though! Also need a reporting system for those who leave mid raid, or just setup raids to sit and do nothing. Only reporting options are for serious IRL issues.

Useless app. Terrible app. If you want to join raids use any other pokie app such as pokie genie. Laggy auto swapping is frustrating. Terrible user interface. Timer to join raids is too short. You will find yourself sitting in ques for hours joining disconnecting and joining again.

Bad and frustrating to use. Just bad. Too many useless pop ups when you open the app. The “don’t show again for this event” tick box does nothing. This app is truly trying to get random strangers to meet up, even with kids. Frustrating to use. The only reason I don’t delete it is because I actually want to see what raids are on in neighbouring suburbs when I go walk my dogs.

This app is not safe.. Beside this app being annoying and not working, it’s also very unsafe. Feel free to download if you enjoy being verbally abused by people across the planet. Don’t bother using it to find a raid to join, it doesn’t work.

Coast2CoastRaiders. I am so in ❤️with this app!! At the end of last year I started my own Worldwide group & within the 1st couple of months I’d grown from just me to over 300players have joined & bn able to share my knowledge with others &then add in the info from others & it’s making me a better player &having friends from Antartica, Brazil, Japan, New York, Texas, Bali, France, Germany& of course Australia 🇦🇺 (my home country) especially given the state of the World atm, it’s reassuring to see humanity coming 2gether in harmony with each other, working towards a common goal…. ✌🏽🫶🏽🙏🏽❤️🌏💯

Doesn't work. This app use to work great to take down legendary raids, light a flair and people show up, but after an update about 2 months ago I wanna say the app doesn't work at all, to use anything it says "you need Pokémon go downloaded" when it already is, I've tried uninstalling this and Go and still doesn't work. Please fix this

Can someone help. First of all, when I saw the pictures I was like oh my god this is better than the Interaction that you have on Pokémon go where you just send Gifts to each other it was so cool but every time I log in AND sign up with the same email it kept saying you need a invite thing or something I hate it

Why launch ?. Niantic’s consumers (players) have been asking for some of these features for years but instead of incorporating into the current Pokemon Go platform they create another separate app, that is only “invite” only for all of Niantics buddy’s to gain more unfair advantages to the rest of the players. The most scary thing about this app from what I have heard (given I can’t even use it) is there is no messaging parental controls. If you are a parent with children DO NOT allow your children to use this app.

Great idea, poor implementation. As a Pokemon go player in a regional area I was glad that I found campfire, I could now join in raid with people around the world. Or at least that’s what I thought. Unfortunately the wait times to find a raid group are ridiculous. Most raids I attempt to join or host finish before a group is found. For example, a most recent raid I attempted to join. Took more than 60 minutes. The app said there were 10 trainers in the queue. I thought ok, if there are 10 trainers, I’ll host my own, then that will be quick. I looked for my nearest raid, there was 35 minutes left. I thought why not. I drove to the raid, began hosting and the 35 minutes elapsed before a group was formed. Why? Great idea, poor implementation. Please drastically improve the wait times!

Exclusive App to make Whales better. So you only have access to this app if you paid to go to a Go Fest months ago and these events were only in the northern hemisphere. The app allows to to communicate and coordinate meet ups and get help with raids etc. Shouldn’t this be for all the people who can’t travel, have accessibility issues, live in rural/remote locations as they struggle to engage in aspects of the game due to some form of limited access. But instead of helping those who need it it’s locked behind an exclusive “whale wall” which only increases the inequities in the game, thus enhancing the pay to win/engage aspect of the game. I love Pokemon Go but Niantic you are excluding the majority to please the minority who are whales. If you want longevity in the game, make it inclusive and bring people into the community not shut them out.

Age limit. I tried to use the app, but it wouldn’t let me. The App Store age is 12+ but guess I’m not even though I’m over the age. Most of Pokémon go players are kids and teenagers, fix age limit.

Wast of time. I’ve been waiting to be granted aces to this ap for 7 months and have still not been granted it, east of time thinking that it would be a good app to use for pg, just use other non niantic aps instead because they should actually work

Missing some key features. The map function is good but the messaging system is barely taken up by users. Niantic really need to introduce a remote trading system to Campfire to make the app useful enough to draw the user base in and get to a healthier level of activity. As it stands only a tiny minority are using Campfire which reduces its overall effectiveness.

There’s no notification sound. That’s a pretty bad thing to leave out considering when you’re queuing for raids you need to respond within a minute.

Needs work. Useful for seeing where raids are within driving distance. But that’s about it. The system for trying to host raids is really bad, with preset chat options that don’t cover all situations, and no way of dealing with things like someone pulling out with 10 seconds to go and killing the group’s chances. It’s really rather clumsy. There are existing options and this isn’t going to make people switch to the official product.

Not safe…. I’ve been playing Pokémon since 2018. I’m not too fond of the campfire app allowing people to chat; there is no privacy anymore, it’s now too easy for predators to get to women and children and see their locations and it’s now too easy for people to cheat on one another. Too easy for people to be bullied and singled out. It’s no longer just about Pokémon anymore. It’s now more about people “connecting” in equally negative ways as positive. I personally feel this app is dangerous.

Needs more work - has potential. Finally started to open up. Still more work to be done for it. Has potential to be a great app for any niantic games. ingress has had a lot of difficulties to group up since Google Plus went off line.

Fiddly and flawed. Visited a rural city this Easter during in person only regi raids, so I downloaded this app to see who was around, surprise surprise, no one. But I decided to use the app to figure out where the raids were and just hang out and see if anyone joined, and at first three raids were showing up as starting soon, then all but one disappeared. I hung around for about 25 minutes when I got a notification saying someone had sent a flare, but when I opened the app there was nothing in notifications, and then another raid showed up with 4 minutes left on it, and I was a four minute drive away. Didn't make it.

Practically useless. Every time your lobby fills it automatically closes wastes time.

Pikmin Bloom. Pikmin Bloom is the only Niantic game that I play, this app serves no purpose to me until it supports Pikmin the same way it does other games. It acknowledges that I play Pikmin, but there’s no section in the app for it.

Only allow 5 people to join?. Not enough for the big raids

So annoying. Whenever I use the app I am logged out and have to log back in with an annoying age prompt and terms of service every single time…. It’s been over a year and still an inconvenient mess.

Better in game than in app. Used this in Pokémon go without downloading the app itself and it was perfect, I download the app and now it takes me literally 5+ minutes to join a game then the raid invite does not let me join the REMOTE raid because I’m not close enough. This app somehow was better before I downloaded it and I will not be using it ever again.

This app is not bad but has a lot of thing that could improve id love to see it advertised more in Pokémon go or built into it so that there more people using it because shadow raids are hard to do and this app is the other thing that makes that happen but still really hard to use sometimes and host raids

From ok to useless. Was ok and mostly worked for awhile with a few new hiccups with each update…. But now it keeps telling me to download the pokemon go app… over and over and over again…

Good if you are rich. Aparently I can’t download the app anymore as I can’t load the new IOS in my iPhone or iPad, so definitely I am not going to buy a new phone just to use this app, to bad as many people is in the same boat. New UI as of June 27, 2023 is awful. How do you take a perfectly fine, simple, functional app and create so much unnecessary clutter and add so many convoluted steps for simple functions? Can’t Even Log In. I have waited through 4 updates, have deleted and redownloaded the app several times. And yet the opening screen lacks the ability to be interacted with. I can’t click “Sign In” or “Sign Up” only “Get Help” but that doesn’t get me logged in TO THE APP. I just want to log in. Is that so hard

Keeps getting worse and worse. Uninstalled. Used this app since beta, but now uninstalled (Dec 2023). So many forced updates for no reason and UI keeps getting worse. Really don’t understand what direction they wanna go with this app!

Primal Raids need catergory. While making a group for a primal raid I noticed it only allows 5 members to join your lobby, this is not close to enough to beat the 90k cp bosses

Meh. I used this app first since it’s supported by Pokémon go more than any other app, but when I started using it there were many flaws. For instance, there was no incentive for players to stay in your raid lobby, most of the people I found just joined and left when there was 10> seconds left ruining my chance for beating it and wasting a raid pass. The messenger part of the app is useless, even if you do get a raid group going you can only say the predetermined things they want you to say. Lighting a flare for a gym doesn’t do anything either it probably just annoyed the people around getting the notification. The only reason I use it is to see if there are any raids that are out of sight. Use Poke Genie if you want to host raids, use this app to find where the raids are, and use battle simulator to see who to use in the raids

Trash. Just decides randomly that ive met my “daily raid limit” and doesn’t allow me to host in person raids. Try it if you have no community around you but I certainly wouldn’t recommend it otherwise

New update ruined the app. Before the update it was great I would use it everyday. After this update it’s horrible so hard to coordinate yourself through the app and coordinate with others. horrible after update

Broke my Pokémon go. Downloaded this app and now I can’t stay in raids keeps booting me out each time

Far from user friendly. Took me a while to figure out what was going on. Once I figured it out it is still terrible. Simple solution would be a lobby type setting where people can see what hosts are hosting and allow people to click on the host they want to join instead of being random. My wife and I sitting side by side want to join a remote raid together and it is impossible to do. Might be great for other games but for this one it’s just bad!!

Horrible after new update. Before the update to make the app available worldwide, local raids were fun and finding / organizing them were easy. Now I can’t even load into campfire, it keeps telling me I “need to download Pokémon go first” which I obviously already have. Very glitchy and broken app. Hope they fix this soon.

Great app. I see lots of people complaining about not being able to log in, personally me and my friends haven’t had problems. You need a non kids niantic account, but overall great app. Just discord for Pokémon go lol.

Settings. Pretty annoying that you can’t set it to default to the map. It’s the only reason I use the app and I hate having to navigate to it every time I open campfire.

Good. I’ve only just started using this app but I can see where it has potential and where it’s lacking. This app is lacking in the remote raid area for sure. If you’re getting this app to coordinate remote raids your wasting your time. Many better apps out there (PokeRaid, pokegenie, etc). A better use for this app is to connect people in certain communities. Many people just don’t do local raids anymore because they can never get 4 people together to do them. This app allows you to connect with people in an area and set up a local raid plus set up in person trading, set up meetups etc

Doesn’t let me use the Pogo Raid Map.. Constantly signs out and then doesn’t allow the map function for Pogo because it thinks I don’t have the app installed. I click “get” and it opens the app… why does this constantly happen?

Garbage App After Worldwide Launch. When I was using this application before it was launched worldwide, it was fine. You would get flares sent to your notifications of people who were interested in the raid. Right when you enter the chat, you can immediately chat with other players and set up another flare to get more people to join. It was a 3/5 for me, and there were definitely some improvements they could develop in the application. Now the application is absolute garbage. Since the update, I have gotten ZERO notifications from the app that someone wants to do a raid. It does this cool aesthetic sonar to say that’s searching for players, but you just sit there and wait for people to join, which is a waste of time. Now I just have to be lucky enough to stumble upon a group that is willing to do these raids. All Niantic had done was remove the main functionality of this app to make it look more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Another developer that does whatever the hell they want, ignoring the wishes of their global community. Honestly, I’m disappointed this time. Would give it a -1/5 if I could. 😞😞😞

Garbage. Nothing works and no one is there. Constantly in a loop to download Pogo even when I access campfire FROM PoGo. So stupid. Get good or go away. Absolutely useless app.

Makes you think you can do impossible things. It’s mega Rayquaza day in Pokemon Go. These raids are local only, and yet Campfire makes it look like you can host and join, which is impossible. UNACCEPTABLE.

The host option doesn’t have the same range as in game. When trying to host a raid I’ve noticed the radius to start the raid in the app is smaller than the actual radius in game. So you can be close enough to the gym to spin it but to far to host a raid from within the app.

Not so great but…. The app isn’t that great. You can get a raid if you want one but it’s only within your region and s wit a very longtime to do a raid. As always kiantic has issues but we it. I use r app for raids and this one to see what’s in my area. Other than locations for raids the app is garbage.

Niantic is terrible.. This is an extension of Pokémon go, which is already plagued by functional issues and micro-transaction greediness. This app was intended to help streamline processes in Pokémon go, but has only made it more frustrating and complicated. Niantic’s efforts would be better spent trying to fix their terrible apps and customer response issues.

Just copy the dungeon finder / raid finder from wow please.. Just make the raid finder like they do in world of Warcraft. Have an option to choose what raids you want to do or an option to say any open raid. Then use it like a group finder and have it do it automatically. Just give an option to add players to your friends list. Why make us do all the work. Just streamline the process

Too late and slow. Honestly, the idea is great but it’s incredibly annoying when you get friend notifications and can’t see them because the app is constantly needing to be upgraded. It’s also not so easy to use

Requires iOS 15.5 or later...... I loved using this app until about a week ago. I am unable to access the app after the latest IOS update. I'm not sure why it's not compatible with the latest update but it's very annoying and I will be switching to a different app.

Useless. This app is so behind the time. They waited 7 years to make an app to connect communities when discords and group chats have been there for years. Utterly useless app as lighting flares does nothing, no one responds to them. I’ve lit 30+ flares and only 1 has ever resulted in anything. Don’t waste your time with this app it’s awful.

Right Direction, Needs Improvement. The latest we update with raid queues is a step in the right direction but the match making system needs improvements. The matchmaking process isn’t clear on what is happening. Over the past couple days I’ve only been able to host/join a raid on about 20% of my attempts

Complicated. In my opinion the app could be a lot more simpler. When looking for raids there should be list of available raids to attack and should be as simple as joining and using a remote raid pass. The current format is terrible just a timer telling you how many people are also looking for raids. Also need to update the map to include routes.

this app used to be great but the new update messed it up. after downloading the newest update i opens campfire and could not get the map opened. when i try to use the team up feature it tells me to download pokémon go but i already have it on the same device and when i hit the button to download pokémon go it opens pogo but change’s nothing in campfire. this is a major issue that needs fixed.

They need to fix the raid invites. I’ve tried hosting a raid twice and it tells me to send the invite by copying everyone name and pasting it in the search at when you go to invite a friend to a raid but it does not work. Even if I only have one of their names it doesn’t work. I can’t even send the invite. This needs to be fixed.

Never works. The app works maybe 1/10 times attempted for Pokemon Go. The issues with host acceptance and the time the raid is offered is ridiculous, it takes 20 minutes to find a raid group and when the app finally gets it together, the raid is over. Also does not even show what raid boss is offered. Have had to “friend” numerous people in attempts to get decent Pokemon and it falls through half the time.

Wish it worked more often. Its an amazing idea and honestly super helpful to find raids or gyms to go to and play Pokemon Go. However days like raid days tend to cause the whole app to not work and really make it difficult to grind when its really needed.

Nice App for active Go players!. Seems far easier than the other Raid Apps that look like a programming student threw together. And the updates do improve it. My request - please show pokestops on the map.

Update Software & Servers. As a fellow business owner and computer science major I recommend taking in these users feedback. In my experience I would like to see users allowed to choose which raid they can go to. For example, choose a raid in another continent. Also if we decline a raid it’s because we don’t want that raid just so you know.

Horrible. Sick of the forced player pool only to have people back out the second before the raid start. I like the old version before you forced this “hosting or looking for raid” buttons. I liked when we could communicate with each other to see who was serious about joining and adding more than your 5 limit which did absolutely nothing but make raids more difficult. Can’t connect. I used this app for the first time on Sunday with no issues. Looks like it has been updated and now I’m not able to use it. It has my log in info but keeps telling me to install Pokémon Go (which I’ve had for a few years). I’m not sure why it’s not pairing the both apps. I’ve already uninstalled both and tried and nothing. This new update or change just messed everything up and I can’t use it.

This app is good. Lots of people are leaving and reviews about the performance of this app. Though I’ve used it plenty and it’s an alright app it does its job. Seems there’s lots of mixed reviews.

Doesn’t sync correctly with Poke-Go. Today had a promo number of remote raids. I only used 4 (not even the normal amount) and it stopped letting me try to join. Yet today was a 20 raid day. I missed out on so many opportunities to raid/catch. Get these sync’ed correctly because I got screwed big time.

It feels like Niantic made this app to further divide the player community. 6 years too late, poorly designed, largely ignored. For the 0.08% of the player base that uses it, you’ll find that if there’s a meaningless update then the app becomes inoperable until you do. Concept is poorly executed and no one uses it. Maybe if they had integrated communication near launch, we could all have a better experience with the game

Completely dysfunctional and an absolute waste. Hosting raids has never been more difficult or impossible. Download a second app to get features they could have implemented into the base game that actually functions. Just download Reddit and post your host info there. Don’t waste time downloading this garbage.

They ruined app. They just keep updating it and ruin the fun to add people to be your friends on the game and Ban over stupid rules. If it’s me, it’s better off never use this app at all. That’s basically what I’m going to do if your ban here’s a tip make a new Pokémon GO basically only way to use this app again is making a new one and start over if you have a main account you can’t use it because you got banned from this app

Just alright. If this was in app it would be fine but this app is just ok it barely gets the job done and if they had taken the time to integrate it in the respective apps it would be fine but instead the ui is terrible and most of the app is useless

Horribly unreliable. Sometimes you will be looking for people to join and the number will freeze at whatever it’s on and PRETEND like it’s still searching. However, you would never know this unless you cancel the raid and it tells you there’s an error. I’ve lost so many raids *waiting* for the last 2-3 people to join. And then after the raids gone and I cancel, it tells me there was an issue all along. VERY FRUSTRATING 😃

Okay but cunfusing. When you go to contact someone directly, you send them a request but if you add them as a friend in Pokémon GO, then it still has them as the nickname in campfire but then and it also adds the friends name to the contact list

Hosting a raid. I tried hosting a raid for a primal kyogre and you only get the option for 5 people to join you You can’t defeat a primal kyogre with a group of 5 so what is the point in being able to host if you only can loose seems ridiculous

Was great then…. Was a great App to join into active raids and help or be helped to get either research or missions done but it has a major known bug that has no work around where you will be logged out, and then you can’t use the app again for, in my case, 2 plus months all while receiving constant notifications from said app about things happening. Don’t get it Niantic does not care and only wants people to download its half baked products.

Not worth the hassle. I use it for Pokémon go and you never get enough people and it won’t let you take less than a full party. When you join a host they never send the raids invite and you just waste time for nothing. If you want people to join you look for communities but this app ain’t it right now

Every time you update something goes wrong. Do you even test this before sending it out?You just forced me to update, some thing that was supposed to fix bugs. Now, when I open it there’s a big old banner that covers the entire screen to announce something I can’t even participate in. So, it’s useless until the next update. Please fix asap

Endless loop. Worked ok at first but now when I try to use the map in pokemon go it takes me to campfire which says that I have to download pokemon go to use the map feature (I do have it downloaded???). This takes me back to my go app which leads in an endless loop.

Has issues. I’m noticing that, any time I attempt to host, not a single player seems to exist. However, at the exact same point in time I can go to “join raid” and there is always someone in the queue. Kinda backwards that nobody ever appears for my raid, but for the exact same Pokémon other people can host for it without issues.

Why?. There’s no need for this app to be separate from Pokémon go. All their other games keep dying. And they built the whole map into Pokémon go already just to school for people to install this. Then gated just the ability to communicate about where we want to go to force a second install that can’t be used without invasive location permissions. This whole app is built just to make corporate money bugs happy. There’s nothing useful to users here.

During Go Tour, it’ll only show you Raids with 10min remaining or less Not to mention, there’s way too many people for one lobby and pokemon gym You would think that you could utilize the app to raid around the world but simply it’s to socialize rather than battling Kind of disappointed that’s how low they think of their players

Niantic campfire app. The concept here is good but the program lacks the ability to actually get me other players to player with. To many times I tried to host and found myself waiting for long periods of time for nothing or it won’t let me host the raid at all after walking down to some place.

Cool app, but joining or hosting raids are not the best. So this app is really good to contact your friends from games like Pokémon go. The problem is that every time I try to team up with people using the app, it says that I have to download Pokémon go. I’ve downloaded Pokémon go since 2016 and this is really annoying for me. Niantic, please fix this.

Why can’t you integrate into PoGo?. Literally why make another app, just integrate this into Pokémon go. It feels clunky having to switch back and forth between the two. The idea is good and is honestly years overdue but please just integrate into the actual game.

Most times can’t host. It’s really annoying to wait over 30min trying to host a raid and campfire can’t find a raid group for me. I can have other trainers sitting right next to me wanting to join my raid and it never even comes up for them, but instead tries to send them to raids 600km away.

Loving Campfire. This app is really useful to find raids nearby and messaging other players. I use campfire mostly for Pokémon Go and Peridot. I’m excited for the new update with “Team Up” with other players and future updates! Keep up the awesome work Niantic 😄

Latest Update Ruined This App. The original threads to find raids and make no pokemon buddies all over the world was just fine. The update with this new system to find random raids near you is a mess and makes the app almost useless other than to light campfires and do raids in your local area rather than hunting pokemon all over the globe.

Problems. This app is good to an extent, but as of late a message will pop up the second I open it. Taking up my whole screen and the only thing I can click is a link. This is very upsetting and deleting the app and redownloading it does not work. FIX THIS PLEASE!

Campfire review. So let me start this off with something special. So I tried twice to get campfire and when I got it I signed in all that bad blah blah and I pressed team up! I have an account I’m level 31 and it said I didn’t have an account, I HAVE ONE!!!! And it keeps on saying it that’s why I downloaded it TWICE. But guess what it said? IT SAID THAT I DID NOT HAVE A ACCOUNT! I have the email password and everything correct BUT GUESS WHAT IT SAID, YOU DONT HAVE AN ACCOUNT! Fix it Niantic

Glitchy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it crashes out your phone. Lately it won’t open the app when you press the icon in Pokémon GO and take you to the web store instead.

Niantic deciding they don’t care about half the world. Suddenly the app stopped working for the whole middle east region after being the only thing letting the game stay playable. Contacted Niantic and their reply was “your region is currently not supported” what about the whole year where it was working perfectly??? Was it not supported back then? Joke of a developer.
