Love this port. Perfect port with tons of replayability. Everything I was hoping for from it. Only issue I’m having is unlocking Roo- I play with touch controls so can’t execute the hot keys in the menu- any help would be appreciated!

Almost perfect mobile port of a great game.. First the positive stuff. So I have SoR4 on Switch and this game looks better on my iPhone 14, the graphics are amazing when you crank up all the video options so kudos for that. My main gripes come from this game not having haptic feedback for touchscreen controls this would be a huge upgrade for as I don’t feel touch controls are as responsive as using a controller but haptics would definitely help that. Also needs a way to save your progress during a stage like save states as gaming on mobile is easily interrupted and then you have to start the whole level again…. And maybe a feature of holding down the attack button lets you do the combo without having to tap the same button over and over again. If these features get added then it’s 5 stars for me.

Brilliance in all aspects of nostalgia.. This game is straight crack!! The playability of every character and the updated attacks that each character has is amazing. This is the best purchase ever made

The new update messed game up. I can’t access none of Shiva’s extra moves … this is bull jive mane… I don’t like no one but Shiva

Missing controller supported co-op. Perfect game with the controller, never used the screen controls really. Would love the game more if I could have co op when I add another controller. Just feels weird that I have to grind more on the PC copy I have if I want a friend to fully enjoy all the unlockables.

Backbone Controller. The game not compatible with the backbone controller? Tried using it and not able to use it. But, can play it with other retro games like SOR 1 & 2

Almost perfect. Core game itself is amazing and fun. The only problems this port has are some gameplay bugs that aren’t present in console versions - for example Survival mode with SoR4 Shiva: a lot of bonuses don’t work for him since he can’t pickup weapons, and in the console versions those bonuses become a random perk instead, but instead those bonuses stay the same and don’t do anything for him. Another example is the double jump bonus. In the console ports you can jump, attack, and jump-cancel to do the double jump and attack again. Not so with this mobile port. Also, because the UI itself takes up a lot of space to accommodate on-screen touch controls, it becomes very hard to see enemies in certain areas. If there was a way to adjust opacity and support keyboard controls, that would be FANTASTIC. Apart from porting bugs, this game is AMAZING, and congrats to the team for porting it over to mobile devices.

Love the series’s. The game is amazing but the only problem I have is the pause button I click and it doesn’t do something sometimes

A classic remaster. This game brings back so many memories. Don’t think about getting it, just go get it!

Don’t know how to run. I’ve used touch and now I’m using the backbone one controller but I can’t figure out how to run. Is that not a feature or is it character based?

Multiplayer. Honestly this game is fantastic.. but it needs a online co-op multiplayer, I played the console version and oh my god could not stop playing it. I hope the multiplayer function comes out soon I know it might take time but hopefully not to much time.

Great till it wasn’t.. Throughly enjoyed this game until it stopped working after the last update. Not sure why. I deleted and reinstalled, and it still will not work. It’s been several weeks and it still doesn’t work.

A very faithful adaptation, with modern improvements. I love the modern art and music attached to the classic game. The modern characters have more moves than I can really process, but they are great. I do really wish Roo were a playable character, I loved him most.

Make it for Mac!. This game is great but the forthcoming TMNT is incredible! Do as all a favor and port this and TMNT over to the Mac as well! Please! I really want to see these great games across all of Apple’s devices! Also, keep up the amazing work! I’ll buy anything you make at this point!

Amazing. One of my all time favorites made even better with the Mr. X DLC and yes Roo is unlockable if you use a wireless controller. Great for when you want to play on the go.

Game is awesome, support for it not so much.. No complaints about the game, it’s great. Support for this game is borderline awful. Anytime an update rolls out, game won’t even start up. How does that happen? Are these updates even tested?

Ultimate Quality. Awesome game. • can use DualShock controller and connect to TV for this. •online • wish can use arcade extra maps, but works just fine.

So Thankful!. I am so happy that SOR4 is on iOS. These type of games are so well suited for handheld gaming. Haven’t had any game play issues. Although worthy of 5 stars now, there are still music syncing issues, music inconsistencies and transitions between rooms and inner stage levels are choppy. All minor is at the moment. I hope this game receives regular updates for awhile to continue to improve the user and gaming experience.

Speechless. The npc’s got hands lol plus the extra dlc and the online co op or randomly Wish Ryu or Ken or Billy and jimmy could of made it on awl man ill spend extra $ and hrs lol

Very Good!!. So happy to be playing this on my phone. Did NOT expect it to come to mobile but very thankful that it did because I love Streets of Rage. Looks great and play great as well! Looking forward to the update and when battle mode is available will there be a option to battle AI??

Amazing game for my son and I!!!. Grew up playing these classics and this new one is perfect! Fells like the old one but much newer and fresher without losing that charm that made the older ones insanely fun!! 10/10

Love the game but…. After the multiplayer patch came out the game became a little buggy and won’t let me choose their alternate special attacks. I had all of them unlocked for the achievement. I can rate it 5 stars once it gets updated because I love streets of rage. You guys should see if you can make Streets of Rage 5, and just make sure you add Adult Skate, Roo, and Ash.

Streets Of Rage 4 review. Streets of rage is one of my all time favorite game and the fact it’s just as smooth and my iPhone as if I am playing on a game console is fantastic! More please!!

Way Past Cool!. Character designs look cool. Also it’s not impossible to play like the first 3 games. Plays easier with a controller though, so I still recommend the console version more. However playing this on your phone and on the go is still enjoyable. Thanks for bringing Adam back! The original 3 characters are the best.

Decent. Great mobile game with style and action surpassing SOR 2. Soundtrack is awesome! A gripe I have with this iteration is the game not picking up my character at the end of some areas when “go” point is reached (first lvl subway cart and Y island staircase are examples) I end up rage quitting and after cooling down I try it again sometimes successful sometimes not. Compared to SOR 2, the touch controls seem more difficult. Any game sequel adds more controls so with this game I found it difficult in training to complete the tasks. I ended up “button mashing” out of frustration. Learning curb aside, this is still a great game.

Alternative move glitch but still amazing.. Love this game. Been playing nonstop since I bought it. Even without a controller it’s incredible. There is a glitch with latest update. Alt moves are no longer available. I see someone else said you can select with s controller. I assume you’re aware and will fix.

Max’s powerslide is Overpowered. Game looks smooths, Plays smooth. Just overall great experience. Huge amount of depth if you want to get to S rank.

New issue. After the recent update with online play, I noticed that the graphic to choose unlocked moves is gone. You can still choose and select them if you move the joy stick around on a controller but the graphic is gone so if you don’t have a controller there is no way to see or select unlocked moves. Game is awesome though

One of the greatest games!. I own this game for PC as well as mobile. Excellent gameplay loop, art and music. It really scratches the nostalgia itch!

Apple TV support is a must!!!. The game is great but I need you guys to get it together for the upcoming multiplayer update with a Apple TV release / once’s both of those are done the rating is back to its true five star rating

MAJOR TRIALS LAG BUG. Beautiful game, do buy it. Wonderful port. This is a modern classic! Removed 2 ⭐️ stars because: 1) There is no online multiplayer -> this is very bad in my eyes, this is a community game 2) Does not support cross-play multiplayer so we can play with other platforms (xbox, switch, pc, sony.. etc) Diablo Immortal on iOS has cross-play with pc. I AM AWARE… multiplayer will be released later at some time. When released, I will test it out and if works just as wonderful as the other platforms (switch, xbox, pc, playstation) I will HAPPILY 😀 edit my rating and add those two ⭐️ ⭐️ ——- ——- ——- REMOVED 1 ⭐️ because MAJOR BUG: During Axel & Blaze trials, the game severely lags for no reason! I have graphical settings on mid (which my device can handle ultra) I have iPad Pro (4th Gen - 2020 model) I tried the following troubleshooting techniques, none of it helps: • closed out the app and relaunched it • reboot iPad • apps closed on the background • my iPad running latest iOS: 15.5 • Not that this matters, but I have 180 gigs of free hdd space • I play on xbox one controller (works excellent with all my games) In the meantime, I cannot practice my combos, which is very sad. I love practicing my combos, then playing story mode with my new found combo skills, that I earned in practice.

Love it. Absolutely gorgeous art work and very smooth gameplay. I haven’t played a Streets Of Rage title since the 90s and this is by far the best nostalgic feeling I greatly appreciate

Almost Perfect. I have the PC version which is modeled off of the consoles. One function mechanic that I wish would work is when you choose the air master perk in survival. In this version It does not allow you to jump after your combos or moves rendering the perk absolutely useless. That’s the biggest bug that I’ve noticed so far

Great game! Great port.. Absolutely amazing. I hope that Dotemu & Playdigious keep this partnership up. I Wonder Boy: Dragon Trap is great so is this. I hope to see Windjammers 2 & TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge make it also to IOS, I would buy them for sure.

The game is good but…. The game is good. The graphics have been updated, the combos are smooth and it works great with the Razor Kishi controller. The fact that the game just released and it already has purchasable DLC is an issue in my opinion. It’s obvious this content was originally made with the game because of the unattainable characters in the selection screen. This is a practice that must stop in my opinion with modern game designers. Sell incomplete products is not only not fair but it makes your customers feel cheated. Bad form in my opinion.

Great soundtrack for a great game. DotEmu really knocked it out of the park with this one. Everything from the art style, to the gameplay and even the soundtrack are excellent. Hopefully we can get them to make streets of rage 5 or more content for 4.

BEST GAME IN APP STORE. This is EASILY one of… if not the best action game in the App Store. The amount of content is crazy. Moves and special moves upgrade as you complete certain modes. And there are so many characters.

Please add option to change border. Great game! Please allow the borders on the left and right to be turned to black so it looks better on OLED!

Three TIMES I’ve bought this game. I can’t stop supporting this game. It’s amazing. Best game I’ve played from that year. I play it with my wife and daughter. I have it on Switch. I have it on PS4. I’ve not picked up this BEAUTIFUL port on iOS. With a Backbone controller, this game is perfect. I don’t know how to continue to send the team the message that the fans want more of this, but I’m not subtle. This game is incredible enough for me to buy THRICE. So absolutely, YOU should buy it at least once. Excellent game.

Almost Perfect. I’m a huge fan of the console release. It’s a faithful port. The on-screen buttons work better than I’d anticipated. That said, I recommend playing with a controller. The screen can get very full in later stages and higher difficulty settings. The game will crash if you reply to a text. Locking your phone while in-app, you’re fine. Leave the app, it’s very likely to crash. Very annoying.

Difficulty feels cheap!. In less than an hour of play time I’ve already requested a refund. The game doesn’t feel fun. I played on normal and the difficulty spikes too much. Especially in a room full enemies with weapons. Cheap tricks like getting hit from enemies that’s not in in you line of sight. You get hit from so many directions at once. It seems the developers tried to make it a strategy game when you just want beat ‘em up game. I’ll pass.

Gold Standard of Mobile Gaming. One and done purchase. Minimal microtransaction. 0 ads. Solid gameplay, sound, art design and graphics, varied customization, and CONTROLLER SUPPORT. AAA publishers THIS IS HOW YOU DO MOBILE.

Too Cheap. I have platinum the game on PS4 & Xbox Series X. I have played over 1000 hours & become just done with the game. It’s too cheap in version 8 & survival is very limited right now with how once you even get to level 35 then it’s just gold weapons & stars, no more perks. I dislike what they did to Skate 3’s ground roll, the nerfed the heck out of it. They need to make blood thirst pop up in more runs because sometimes it just does not pop up, actually most runs now in V8. Also, Axel needs more protection & increased damage & needs to be sped up he’s too slow even still, enemies are too cheap. They need to not design the game in a way that forces you to play with a second player just to have a good run in survival. Sometimes you just wanna play by yourself. The cheapness of the enemies is what is holding this game back from being the most talked about game and not just with the community of players who we all played the original 3 games. This is the final update so I guess they will not be addressing any other issues. Sad state the game is left in.

Great game but where’s the local co-op?. Thanks for the online multiplayer update! but I’m keen to see local co-op for the iPad so kids can play side by side during family holidays…and I can get in the action too!

Terrible controls. Controls on the iPhone are slow and unresponsive. Its possibilities that this could be a fun game with a controller but on the iphone it’s almost unplayable due to the poor controls. No run function too which is weird. The game plays really slow and sluggish and the lack of a run, block or even a dash move means you often find yourself in a position where you cannot help but take damage from enemy attacks. Feels like the game hasn't been refined or finished well and lacks polish.

Awesome game, but really hard to play.. Love the graphics and all, bought the DLC as well, but damn Normal is kicking my rear, either I move too slow and randomly get knocked out and loose half my health or just the boss’s move (especially Shiva) is ridiculous and cannot be avoided. Maybe I’m just bad at playing, hopefully there’s some balance to it later.

Fantastic game, looking forward to coop. This is an excellent port of Streets of Rage 4, running on iPad Pro 12.9 M1. I am really looking forward to pairing two controllers to play coop coming out soon. Please do not forget to include separate controller schemes for player 1 and player 2 because I have a playstation and 8bitdo controllers ;) Thank you Playdigious for making this port.

Excellent! But missing local multiplayer 1 or Multiple devices. Great, but it would be better if you could plug in multiple wireless Bluetooth controllers on one device or play with another buddy with an iOS device (iPhone/iPad) locally other than just online only. Other than that, almost perfect! 9/10

NERF THE COMMISSIONER!!!. I love this game, there are just a Trio of Demons that need a Major Nerf, the Commissioner being a major one, NO BOSS FIGHT SHOULD BE LUCK BASED WHETHER SOMEONE GETS KILLED BY A CHEAP SHOT OR NOT!

Leaderboards have no names and various other bugs. - Generic “PLAYER” name in leaderboards. Android Play store works fine, so probably an Apple thing. Lame. Can’t see anyone listed… Kinda defeats the purpose of leaderboards…. - SoR4 Shiva’s Flaming Circular Kick (neutral special) doesn’t scoop/lift enemies lying on the floor. HOW DID THIS GET THE OK? - Weird blue Tatsu not present in all the other ports of the game. Is this playdigious taking artistic liberties, or is it something from a different or future build given to them? Exclusive to Android and iOS… Why? - Weekly Simulation in survival mode is different than the consoles’. - Cherry and Estel’s default blitz can fall into pits. - Environmental hazards (e.g., acid barrels, swinging boxing bags, etc…) can cause damage to player before the round begins in Survival mode.

The controls are awful. Because the controls are so wonky, combos become an effort of consistent button mashing. It’s extremely frustrating

Bad touch controls. First off, I want to say I’m a huge Streets of Rage fan and I want so badly to enjoy this game, but the touchscreen controls are terrible, particularly the d-pad. I play as Axel and I can execute his grand upper 60% of the time on the left and 10% of the time on the right. Even using emulators to play the Genesis version on my Android phones controlled better than this. Please try and fix this if you can. It’s making this already challenging game unnecessarily frustrating.

Game is cool but the touch controls are just awful. I’m addition, I didn’t know the game was so heavy! On my iPhone 13 pro, slowdown abounds.

A fantastic game, a decent port. Edited: 05/27/22 to reflect developer comments. The description for the pre-order of streets of rage 4 says no Micro-transactions and 10% off the pre-order, so I bought it but then on release date it shows $2.99 for Mr X Nightmare In-App Purchase if you want the full package. This was never mentioned before launch,That’s a bait and switch ( or least a bait and non disclosure). I love streets of rage series but that does bugs me a bit. The actual game: Plays very nice and looks great on iPhone 13 pro however the borders on the sides and the touch controls for some reason are not placed closer to those areas( fixed in options). There is mfi support does removes the on screen controls and it performs greatly. They did not not chose to do a auto save or resume function, I know that the other ports also didn’t have this but the 8-12minutes a level is sometimes not easy to do all the time since this is a mobile device. You do get the classic streets of rage OST with the new soundtrack which sounds great ugh it’s rich bass heavy jazzy flow and multiple costume colors for your brawlers. This is a mildly sweet port on mobile, not many quality of life improvements, but still a super rad game. If you bought this on console and don’t have a switch it’s a decent buy but if you do play this on a switch hold off or wait for price drop or at least if they include the Mr. X In-App Purchase* (DLC) *It pops up immediately when you first start the game Game A+ Port B+
