Meh 3.5 stars. This app appears to be a case of "you get what you pay for". The $100 cash advance for $2.99 was a $60 (first time advance) plus tip. It took 4 days to hit my account. The other services they tout aren't any better than the free or included services other apps provide. I'll stick out to see if the credit building card comes available soon but if not I'll stick to money lion, where advances are much larger and instant, along with unique financial tools.

DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!!. At first, I was able to successfully use this app for a cash advance, but then I started getting error messages about being unable to connect to my bank account. I contacted customer support immediately, and they said they were having issues with Plaid that could take several weeks to resolve. However, they had no problem withdrawing monthly fees from my account during this time! I was never able to get it to reconnect after trying multiple times over the proceeding months, and now the developers refuse to refund the monthly fees I was charged despite being unable to use the app. They had no compassion and did not take accountability for the technical problems with their app. How can you continue to charge fees when you know your app isn’t working? It’s a scam!

Scam. Beware. This app will charge you 2.99 the minute that you link your bank account. They also will not approve you for any pay day loan, and make it very difficult to cancel and be refunded. I sent an email and still have no confirmation of a cancellation or a refund 🤦‍♂️ Update: I contacted them immediately as I saw the charge show up and asked for a refund and to cancel my account. I received a condescending email telling me that they’ve disabled my account (good) and that they WOULD NOT be issuing a refund (horrible/scam-like). DO NOT bother. Just sort by “MOST CRITICAL” reviews and you will see countless cases like mine. They happily take your 2.99 and then treat you HORRIBLY. There are so many other apps that are much better like solo,Dave,brigit, Albert, etc.

Does not work no support. This app was fine until this week. It does not read my bank information. I have installed and reinstalled. I don’t delete my bank account because I will be told I can’t add it for 60days. No help from support and it has been three days. There is no other way to contact support and it’s frustrating. Is someone going to contact me before I delete my bank information and close this account. The comments are very condescending from developers and they advise what we should do, but they are not responding. Their response was poor when finally received.. BEWARE: If you send more than one email requesting assistance, per the response I received, your request will be placed to the back of the queue. They simply have a poor communication method and not enough people to assist. If they did not have such a delay in responding they would not have a backlog of emails.

Call Your Bank. The numerous people on here saying that they are getting charged the 4.99 fee each month, yet don’t use the services and/or cancelled/closed your credit genie account need to call their bank and put a stop to them taking your money - so glad I read the reviews before signing up. Also, the one person who said they used to be able to borrow more, but can now only borrow $10 or something & now they can’t pay their utility bill - you shouldn’t rely on this to pay your utility bills every month - it seems you’re stuck in the cycle where you have to keep borrowing - try to get out of that cycle - go to work a few days a week extra through a temp service or something to get caught up & get yourself out of this endless cycle, because it will never get better like this

Never got my advance!!!. So I applied for a cash advance and they said it would deposit into my account on the 4th of November. Well I never got it so I called and they said by the 5th I said ok never got it. So then I emailed and they said you should receive it by the 5th then another email said sorry we have a glitch in our system and it won’t deposit til the 8th now?!?!? Come on are you serious??? This seems like a scam to me and no one will be taking any money out of my account because I never received a advance. Pretty disappointed right now needed it for a bill that was due yesterday and now today it’s late! I wouldn’t recommend using this company at all! They don’t deposit they just want to take money out and you think they deposited money…. I wasn’t born yesterday so I will not be giving a good review a constant run around. What a joke!!!!!!!!

App doesn’t work. EDITED TO UPDATE AFTER DEVELOPER RESPONSE: I did contact Credit Genie via email. No one bothered to respond after several days. I did not disconnect my bank account, and it’s probably not helpful for you to write back to your users in such a condescending tone. The app prompted me to add my bank account, I linked through Plaid, and then got stuck on a Saving screen. It should never just get stuck on a screen; that is a flaw in design. You should probably take the constructive feedback that users leave instead of writing rude responses. Perhaps listen to what people are saying instead of defensively telling them that they’re wrong. 🙄🙄🙄 I used Plaid to log into my bank account and then it goes back to a credit genie screen that says “saving” and gets stuck there. It never saves. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Same thing. Don’t waste your time

Can’t get advance. Downloaded even after reading the reviews trying to give this app a chance however I should have listened because when I try to see if I can get an advance it gives me a message having a problem checking for an advance try again tried multiple times and same thing. I have deleted my bank info and uninstalled app not worth it. Please do not respond back to this review to reach out to customer service because I am not emailing and waiting days for a response.

Alright at first. Let me borrow no problem but after only two times it wouldn’t let me a third time even tho I paid them back and never missed any payments they said I didn’t qualify to borrow a third time and that paycheck was way higher than usual. I guess if you need it one time is cool but more times not reliable they will leave you hanging and short $100 with no explanation but oh you still have to pay $4.99 a month for it and if you unlink your bank you can’t re-link it for 30 days so I just unlinked and won’t be using again bye credit genie. Chime and Cash app lend you money and they don’t deny you if you pay your balances back.

Unreliable. Why do you make customers reconnect their bank account for every advance? None of the other apps do that. Now because of a bug in your system with saving bank account connections, I am 2 days without an advance I was counting on having to avoid overdraft fees with my bank. This shouldn’t even happen in the first place. When it comes to money, reliability is just as important as working well sometimes. Somehow there’s never a bug with connecting to my bank account to get your repayment, but this is the second time a bug has prevented me from getting an advance.

Discriminatory against LGBTQIA. Submitting a complaint via BBB. I messaged 4-5 days ago about a name change and received a response three days later from Darcie. Darcie assumed that my spouse was a male and offered to change the information on file if I provided “his” name and my name and information. I responded, correcting her and provided the information. I had to wait TWO extra days to get a response and as expected they told me they couldn’t change my name because the account was created. Why didn’t they say this in the beginning? Prejudiced practice with micro-aggressions towards a gay/queer person. Really bad experience. No explanation as to why they said they could and then said they couldn’t. The apology was dismissive and they referred to it as a “mishap”. A mishap is a mistake. You don’t “mistakenly” assume the gender of someone’s spouse. You consciously do that. This is literally 2024. Not inclusive at all.

Think twice. Awful!!!!. This might be a long review. This app started out great with no issues. Until last month, I’ve always had auto payments turned on and have never missed a payment. Checked my checking account and two payments plus the monthly fee had been taken out. I went to login to the app and was taken back to the verification process. That wasn’t even the crazy part. I had previously “ over a month ago” updated my new cellphone number with no problem but was asked for my old cellphone number to verify who I was I do not have access to the old number anymore obviously. I’ve been trying to reach customer service for weeks with no response whatsoever. I have sent in two emails with the phone verification screenshots once again and nothing. I’m over this with this Grain. My next steps will be with my bank and BBB. I have no other choice at this point.

Legit! Really quick and easy. Needed an advance and got approved for $150, I paid for instant funding which was pricy but since there is no interest charges I didn’t mind paying it. Super easy and much appreciated! I will be back. Looks like you have to pay a monthly fee of 4.99 which I’m happy to have the option to get some quick cash! Thank you!

Process won’t complete. I’ve been stuck on the same page for hours and hours. I connect my bank account it tells me success then it goes to a blank page with a G in the middle of it and the word saving underneath it with 3 dots after it like this “saving…” but it never completes just stays stuck there. I’ve tried restarting the app and doing it over a couple times I even reset my phone and reopened the app and tried again that way with the same exact result. So 1 star is what I’m giving this app because it just doesn’t work correctly.

Stay away from this one!. I downloaded the app and put in my bank account information. BIG MISTAKE! As I was trying to put in the rest of my information, (Specifically DOB), it would not let me click the submit button. I emailed and waited 3 days. In the meantime they debited my checking account. I then forwarded my previous email and sent it top priority. I let them know that I still had not received any assistance although they had taken money out of my account. I said if they weren’t going to assist me I would like to cancel my account and have my fee reimbursed. Then I received an email, (funny that nobody emailed me until then), and was told that they closed my account but would not be reimbursing the charge. SCAM!

stolen. i’ve emailed them and told them about somebody stealing my stuff and putting my information on their app. No one has responded back to me and i did a police report and told them whatever money they put please take it back i wasn’t the one who made the account. Customer service don’t work they keep saying it’s takes 3 business days to respond? which is really stupid to me if i’m telling you something i think there should be a number you can call. I am taking legal actions against them and the person who used my information to put on this app.

Legit!. It’s hard coming across legitimate apps these days. Lots of them sell your personal info, or give you the run around. This app is 100% legit, I was able to get a payday advance with no issues. Signing up was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone.

Reconnecting bank account. I don’t see why the app doesn’t allow the ability to reconnect a bank account I solely was just trying to fix an issue with not being able to take a cash advance because my account was negative when it wasn’t so I decided to disconnect my bank account without knowing I wouldn’t be able to connect it again I contacted support to see if they can resolve issues I heard one of the devs respond and say some of there users abuse this feature I don’t see how and it takes away from real customers like me that have used the app for multiple advances you guys are going to lose a legitimate customer and if this issue doesn’t get resolved

Cash advance. I really like the app; very user friendly. The main thing I like is they don’t over extend your request - in order words; they calculate an amount for you and I like that because I only needed a few dollars to tie me over until pay date. I highly recommend if you’re in a tight and need something to get you over the hump. Thanks Credit Genie!!

They must be deleting reviews somehow. I left two reviews yesterday and not one of them are showing up here so it sounds like they are removing reviews or something weird is happening. Anyway, I’ll just post it again. 😀 It’ll work at first (maybe) but screw you in the long run. The $1.99 a month sounds good until you are reminded that you get what you pay for. Their phone number is just a dummy number so people won’t complain about not being able to contact them by phone, and where we used to receive replies in 12-24 hours has now stretched to 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS. I’m still debating on whether or not to contact my bank regarding the issue I’m having as I’ve been MORE THAN PATIENT with these people , but at least I have proof that I tried to resolve this with the company WITH NO REPSONSE.

DON’T download. It’s crazy how I been seeing a lot review about you guys disconnect someone bank account but the app is blaming us. I still took the time of my day to just be nice and give y’all try. Out of no where gotten took $50 outta my bank. When I didn’t even accept anything yet. Nice try. Stealing people money is sad. I don’t understand why this app even says 4+ age if that don’t tell y’all nothing yet. Then I don’t know what to say. Update : I have a friend that work with apple company, so I’ll be sure to let them know about this. It shouldn’t be on app anymore.

They deleted my review if that tells you anything. After putting my title as sounds like a scam to me, was curious and scrolled through other reviews…..funny how often the word scam appears in other reviews, because it is. They’re just going to deny you an advance, but continue to take money from your account hoping you forget about it and they can keep skimming from a bunch of peoples bank accounts. Then take 3 days to respond to an email and refuse to refund your subscription payment for their useless service you paid up for the next month, even if you cancel it same day.

You saved the day!. This was quick and easy! I love it! I am disappointed with credit genie! I was approved for 2 cash advances and attempted to take another one but was disqualified because my payroll frequency does not meet credit genie guidelines! I am confused my checking account is 27 years old. My payroll frequency is every other week. I called the customer service number in the app and I can never get through! I sent 2 emails and no response. So I attempted to remove my bank info and reenter it thinking something was wrong on my end . Now I am getting a message stating I can’t enter the same account number. This is so frustrating! I need to ween myself off of these Apps because they are nothing but trouble!!!

The Worst App Ever. Don’t even waste your time downloading this app. I downloaded this app to see if it’ll help me but instead it was a scam. They charged me 2.99 just for connecting my bank account and when I was told I wasn’t eligible for any services they offer, I requested a refund and they told me I agreed to the terms and conditions and I knew that I would be charged a fee and they declined my refund request. Thankfully, my bank was able to dispute the charge and put a stop payment on anything they try to charge after that but I was super disappointed in the support this app offers. They are terrible and if you want to save money build your credit you can do that for free there should be no charge in that so don’t download this app it’s a waste of time and money.

Was great until it wasn’t. At the beginning, Credit Genie was a great app. I always paid my advances back on time with zero issues. Until one day I tried getting an advance and I was denied. And after that I continued to get denied every day for over two weeks. After those two weeks I decided to stop using the app. If this is how You treat someone who was always on time with payments and someone who had a good opinion on the app then I won’t be using the app no more. Since then I deleted my account and the app and instead I now use Empower, a MUCH better app where I don’t get denied for paying on time and actually sometimes They increase my advance amount nor do they offer a slap in the face advance like 10$ what Credit Genie would offer Me after months of paying back 100$ advances with absolutely ZERO issue. I recommend EMPOWER over Credit Genie for anyone looking for a much better app. 💯

So far the best cash advance app out there!. I’ve used several different cash advance apps over the years on and off for a variety of reasons and Credit Genie is by far the best one! When one app would only advance $20 or some nothing, I was approved here for $100. Fast and easy setup!

Useless App. Installed this app about 2 months ago. They don’t hesitate to snatch the $4.99 bank connection fee, but won’t approve even a $10 loan. Not only have they denied me every single time I’ve tried, they don’t even tell why I’m being denied, and just to “try again tomorrow”. Meanwhile, when they won’t even approve me $10, on the same day I go to a check cashing store and they approve me for a payday loan of $255. How am I not approved for even a $10 loan when I’m being charged half that for a service fee, and an hour later I’m approved for $255 elsewhere? I recommend avoiding this app, waste of your $4.99 monthly and they won’t even be there for you when you really need them to be. Just use Earnin or Dave for a quick $100 loan or go to your local check cashing store and apply for a payday loan if you need more then $100 on the spot.

Seemed great until they overdrafted my account. I took a $70 loan. Every single thing in the agreement said that repayment would automatically be taken out on January 5. That’s tomorrow. Then I see this morning, a full day early, they took out a partial payment for whatever reason (first loan, wasn’t late, not even due yet) which not only robbed me of the money I was going to eat with today, but overdrafted my checking account, which I will now incur a fee for. Thanks for nothing crooked genie. Nowhere did it say, nor did I agree to an early auto debit, yet here we are. If they make things right I will change my review, but we all know they won’t. If you’re still seeing this, it means they took the f you approach and didn’t fix their mistake.

Connected and then disconnected. Hello, I tired to sign up for the app. It initially signed me up connected to my bank just fine. That’s not the problem. There was no option to manually put in my address and the app couldn’t find it. I closed the app thinking it would help but then I could no longer sign in. I do not want to be charged $5 for an app I can’t even use. I tried contacting support but there’s literally little to no real support ? No number or anything to truly help. It say to contact credit genie but how can I when I can’t log in 🙃. Update : I was able to restart my phone and log in fine. Still couldn’t properly put in address so I disconnected my bank, and deleted app all together. Sure it will be great for somebody else !

APP DOESN’T WORK!!!. Tried numerous time to connect my bank, it connects “successfully” then when it says it’s saving it it never does. Every time I go to the app I have to reconnect my card so I have been unable to get an advance because I can never get pass this step. Sent multiple emails with no response. This app was made as a copy cat of the other advance apps but it doesn’t actually help you. Just there for sure and I’m certain the good reviews on here are fake because there is no way anyone likes this app. I should have listened to the reviews.

waste of my time. update: i think it’s funny how you guys still claim it’s the user who did it. PLEASE send me the proof. i would absolutely love to see it. since i DID NOT disconnect my bank. instead of being so condescending like you all have been towards every review that addresses this issue. it should be considered constructive criticism and feedback to you all. it’s a shame. can’t change how some companies work unfortunately. but you can definitely change the tone. i work in customer service and i always accept feedback whether i like it or not. and i DONT come off rude either. i recently downloaded the app in hopes of helping me out with my financial bumps i tend to have. it happens. went to go connect my bank since i noticed it was disconnected. now i’m having to wait 60 days to reconnect. when i HAVE NOT disconnected my bank whatsoever. i reached out to customer service, which didn’t get me very far. saying i disconnected it myself and it’s the systems automatic decision of 60 days. which is insane. instead of blaming the person using the app, try and understand that it’s 9/10 THE APPLICATION!! i deleted the app because i am not paying $1.99 for someone to tell me i can’t reconnect the same account since i supposedly “disconnected it myself”. i’m not wasting my time or giving you guys my money. i’m also reporting this to apple because it seems like i’m not the only one who’s having this issue 🫶🏼

Integration is terrible and you pay for it…. The integration for this app seems to be terrible as it doesn’t support a lot of various banks. I know these products well as I’ve worked for a few in the past. They either don’t lend directly or have a mid tier partnership with a few and backed by a investment partner. I’m surprised whoever is partnered up with Credit Genie allows such poor integration with banks and a pretty ugly front end (pages don’t line up, fonts are off, etc). Fintech is hot right now but seems they may miss out on a lot of opportunities.

Shady app alert!!. Please don’t waste your time and money with this app! Credit Genie will mislead you into thinking you qualify for an advance only to get you to pay for the subscription. I reluctantly paid the subscription fee ($4.99) after genie gave me a dollar amount I qualified for. Only After paying the fee was I told I didn’t qualify based off of factors that weren’t listed earlier. I reached out to their support in hopes of a refund only for them block my account 😒 Now I can’t login to disconnect my bank account from this scammy app

Scammers & Does not work. I must’ve downloaded this app a long time ago and forgotten but I really have never used it much. Anyways, just received a $2.99 charge today out of nowhere from these people, so somehow they charged my card out of the blue without my authorization whatsoever, they don’t have a website, instead you have to use their app that does not work and supposedly hasn’t worked since early October so how I could just get charged out of the blue when the app never even worked for me to subscribe to anything is beyond me. They have one support email that does not reply, i’ll be contacting my bank, thanks

Very User friendly! 10/10. Just heard about this app from a friend. It’s been a game changer for me. Was sent an advance right away after making my account. There also wasn’t any hang ups with it communicating with my bank which is why I don’t like the other services like this. Definitely recommend!

They need app improvement BIG TIME and low lack of support shows. THEY PROMISE MORE THAN THEY CAN FUFILL. When I used the advance it worked once when the app was newer. Got $100, things were on time for when they said it would arrive, paid it back that Friday. Few months later tried using it again and bank account info was deleted. So it was a pain to get it put back on.. The delay on how long it took to fix it should have been a clear sign of how they would work. This past time, it approved me $20, great because I needed it. Used express delivery (3-5 hours from accepting the advance) and it’s been well over. Phone number for support is always a voicemail… saying their reps are too busy, and email is faster. THIS APP SEEMS LIKE ITS RUN BY ONE PERSON. I don’t recommend using this anymore than ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. Blank screen when opening app takes 3-5 min to load app, seems like low cost app design. All around poor.

Poor Service. I’m sorry to give this a one star because I can’t reconnect my bank account to get another advance. It’s not fair because my bank lost connection and I only delete it to reconnect when it’s connect was down. It’s was a good app till this happen. Even if they said they would fix customers to reconnect their bank accounts in the near future, the damage has been done and they lost a customer because of their unfair policies. Update: To clarify my review here. This connection happened before Plaid went down. I borrow from you in November of ‘21. After paying it back, I try to apply for another one, but it could not connect, so I unlinked my bank account and try again. You claim customers can only connect their bank accounts once and can’t connect again after it is remove. I knew Plaid lost connection with my bank because it happened with other cash advance apps. I delete your app after you told me your policy, why should reach out to you when I no longer used your app. This review is about my first experience with this app. I knew all ready about the down connection with your third party, Plaid!

Frozen in the G logo white screen. I’m a new user. I made an account and then I connected my bank and that went smoothly but then right after connecting my bank it takes me to a white screen with the G logo and it says saving… On the bottom of it. I’ve tried twice and it stays frozen there and doesn’t go anywhere. I try to connect to their customer service but the chat said that they can be reached at this moment and goodbye. I want to give this app a try but it’s not working.

do you really expect…?. UPDATE: this morning I got an update from CG noting to overdrafting, so I should come to the app and get an advance…I go to the app, apply for an advance—and I get REJECTED…what a joke, a cruel joke (and it illustrates how incompetent the CG people are. So you want me to keep paying the monthly “bank connection” fee without receiving an advance? And when I did get an advance, it was so small it barely covered the fee. Credit Genie is usury at its most obvious. I won’t call it a scam, but it definitely a racket—I could get a better deal paying points to Tony Soprano.

Long waits to be able to get support. I’ve been waiting to hear back from someone about the fact that I selected to have my advance sent express which is an additional fee it showed me that it would be the same day by 9pm once I selected the option it then changed it to the next day by 9pm. That’s not what I agreed to for the fee that I’m being charged. I have tried and tried to get in touch with customer support and all I keep getting is emails saying it may take up to 3 days. This app was a great resource up until this point. I’m very disappointed.

Horrible customer service!. Not a great experience. The app is very vague, and I have a question about my advance. Requested the advance Friday afternoon it’s Monday afternoon and so have not heard anything. My advance is due is 3 days and I still haven’t even received it. All of this would be okay if I could get ahold of literally anyone to explain the issue. I have emailed and called to no avail. I don’t recommend attaching your bank to a service that can not answer questions. Proceed with caution. I’ll update if I ever actually receive the advance

Wouldn’t recommend.. I’m pretty sure it’s a Ponzi scheme that’s not even worth providing your information to. Any issue u may have, there’s no support to contact other than by email. On top of that u will get a “we got your email” automated response and probably won’t hear from an actual rep for weeks. Again by email. 🤨 Not worth a penny out of your pocket nor a second out of your day. I can recommend others who are promising, just ask.. Now watch some typical “just saying what they pay me to say” rep respond to this review faster than any service u would get addressing any personal issue.

Okay. This app has helped me with cash advances but the app is not very user friendly. It doesn’t allow for you to pay your advance back sooner than it’s scheduled. The scheduled pay back date is never on my payday. You can’t chat with support. Also you pay these express fees and the money isn’t expressed into your bank like other apps. It can take the next business day which is not convenient.

No Way To Connect with customer support.. Only way to connect with customer support is to email them. There is no live chat option or contact number. This app connects to my bank account and I feel as though being able to speak with someone right away is important. Obviously they don’t feel the same. Customers should be number one priority since if it wasn’t for us there would be no need for your services. I have no other issues with this app and would love to give a great review.

Ridiculous.. This app is the worst I’ve seen, I’ve deleted it and redownloaded it multiple times after it connects to my bank but won’t “save”. I get emails from my bank saying it’s connected also, and plaid says each time that it’s connected, but the app itself refuses to load or save the information so that I can get an advance. It’s almost as if it doesn’t want you to use the service. So stupid. Save yourself the effort. Response to developer: You can only create 1 account per phone number. So I’m not sure how that’s possible with my bank account being connected. And for your reference for further responses, unless things are set up- you can’t access ANYTHING. Nothing shows in the app other thank your name, email or phone number. So there isn’t a way to know who to contact or how long to receive a response.

Rip Off. My request for a loan was denied, yet they withdrew $4.99 from my bank account for a membership that I didn’t authorize. Why would I want a membership from Credit Genie when they denied my request for a loan? I am not stupid. Their customer service was pretty much nonexistent. The only help they gave me was how to delete my account and or membership, but as far as a refund for my $4.99 that they took from my bank account, I got absolutely no response. I will never bother with them ever again. My advice to anyone considering doing business with them would be don’t waste your time or money. They are a RIPOFF!!!

Thank you Credit Genie 🧞‍♀️ 🧞‍♂️ 🧞😇👍🏿. This is one of the best apps I have used. I needed to o put gas in my car, and I LITERALLY sat right there at the gas station, and was able to get enough money to fill up my tank instantly. I am so grateful! Yes, the app does take a long time to load. But so what. I am very grateful for the help that Credit genie provided to me. It was only the right thing to do to leave a positive comment with five stars. I saw that many people live negative comments, and I read their messages. It seems like they’re hating because they are trying to figure out a way to defraud the system, and big mad because they can’t 🙄

Was going well and then nothing….. For the first month everything went well with the app. I received a loan, paid it back and received and second loan. It is due to be paid back tomorrow, but for the last week I have tried to open the app and it is frozen on the app title screen. I did perform all of the updates that were posted in the App Store, but I am receiving the same outcome. I cannot enter the app itself at all. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Kept freezing. Right after connecting my back the page froze on saving. And it wouldn’t budge. So I tried it again. Same thing. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing. So I’m uninstalling. Sorry I couldn’t use this app. Was looking forward to it. Maybe at a later time when they fix these bugs. Update: I contacted you guys by email and haven’t got a response so I did reach out directly. I’m going to delete and re install and see if the issue is fixed. If not I’ll email you guys again.

I’d give 0 stars if I could. This app will charge you money only to deny you their services repeatedly. My bank is accepted, my income, balances and spending habits meet all the requirements…yet I have been denied every day for two weeks. Not going to waste my time trying for a third week. That’s not even mentioning how terrible the app is. Half the time it doesn’t even work. Don’t waste your time or money on this app…these people don’t want to help you.

Confused. After getting a $70 advance and paying it back with no issues I was completely rejected for another one. No reason why or anything to help me understand why that would happened. I’m disappointed in this app. I thought this was the start of a beautiful business relationship.

Ridiculous to get customer service or to cancel. We have been trying to cancel for several days now. They keep sending the same email asking for the same information so it gets sent and they still won’t cancel and delete the account. They don’t follow paydays so money gets withdrawn early. Don’t use this app at all if you want to be able to have regular contact with customer service.

Slow payment process. Very slow on the repaying process this app is trash!!!! Update on my review day 3 with sufficient funds in my account and they still have not process the payment if my account goes into the negatives I will delete my account . Trouble after update. I have never had an issue with this app until last week when I did the update. Now I cannot log in. I put my info in and it goes right back to a blank log in screen. I’ve deleted the app and added it again, and that did not help. I have emailed costumer service 3 times with no reply. If they are going to take so long to answer emails they should provide a phone number also. Very frustrated

Customer Service Response Time is horrible. I use the advance cash feature and meanwhile this feature is somewhat okay when I encountered issues and reached out to customer service via email AND phone call they do not response in a timely manner. When the app is not working properly try to refresh or remove and reinstall but don’t hold your breathe waiting on customer service response. Please do better! Thank you

It’s decent but don’t answer call if you get one. If you get a call anytime during the qualify for advance process- hit decline on that thing quick or you’ll be caught with this message about how you already tried and have to come back tomorrow. Thanks, creditgenie!

Disappointing. Apps great at first, but then to get another advance was a struggle. I had to contact the support team via email several times (which they usually took a few days to respond to) to get my issues resolved and access another advance. After trying to contact support again, I had an agent who felt it was best to disable my account rather than attempt to solve my issues.

Headache. I signed up but then never used the services. I thought I deleted my account but months later got a $4.99 charge. I emailed them to ask if I could get a refund due to not using the service and being under the impression I deleted my account. They declined my request claiming there was nothing they could do. Can only imagine what else they would be unwilling to help with. Not really worth the headache.

Better Apps Out There. This one is really not worth it. Earnin, Dave, Brigit, Vola, Albert, Solo Funds. Use one of them. This one can take your money right away but take 3 business days to process? There are so many other apps that can work fast. And the amount of times I’ve reached out to support to change my payback date because it comes out like a week before my payday? Their system is awful. And sometimes you qualify for $150 and other days $5? Too much inconsistency. Really isn’t worth the trouble.

This App is A SCAM! Stay away. The comments are right. They will continue charging your account for $4.99 even after you cancel the service. They will wait a few months after you cancel and begin charging your account without approval. There is no contact information and when I tried to sign in, it’s saying my account doesn’t exist. Almost New Customer / BAD Experience. So I just created a new account today. I set up my email and password. Before I could attach my bank, a screen pops up stating “Saving”. The screen has been like that for the last 6 hours. It has not moved. Every time I go to the app, this same screen is there. Not sure if the app is frozen or not but I’m not so sure I’m that confident in doing business with this company now. I hope they get it together one day.

No Customer Support. This app worked fairly well for awhile. Then suddenly told me I needed to reconnect my bank account. Which I did. Then I received a message saying I couldn’t reconnect my account for 6 months. I’ve messaged their customer support TWO TIMES in the past two weeks with absolutely no response. Nothing. Not even an auto-response that they’ll get back with me. It says they have an amazing customer support team… Can one of those people help me?

Have Not Receives ‘Instant’ Advance. The app was OK for a while. However my last requested advance has still not been received after 4 days although it shows up on my Credit Genie account. Not User Friendly. I signed up recently and linked my bank account. I received a message that it doesn’t meet eligibility requirements. I sent customer support an email asking why as I thought my bank met all requirements. This was about a week ago and I never got a response. RIP OFF. This company is a rip off! They charge a “bank fee” but I kept getting a error message that my bank could not connect. Stuck on Saving Screen After Putting in my Bank Info. Like the title says, it’s been stuck on the saving screen for hours after I connect my bank via Plaid. I close the app and reopen it and end up having to put in my bank info all over again. Which is a bit annoying but not the end of the world. But it still gets stuck on the saving screen.

Read the fine print. I was denied a cash advance but assured I could apply again and they would notify when I was eligible. Then I noticed at the very bottom something odd, a statement that my bank account would be charged even thought they couldn’t help me out as long as my bank stayed connected. Just pay attention they just want your account connected and for you to forget about it

Awful waste of time. Like many others, i have had so many issues. Got my first advance and paid it back on time. Never got approved for another advance. So I’m trying to delete account and they say they won’t until it clears but it has, it shows it on the app. So they say disconnect bank, but there is no option to do this. All i want is to delete my account i should not have to jump through hoops to do this especially when there is no outstanding balance. Awful company

STOLE FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT. You stole from my bank account please return my money. Literally had the app for one day tried to see if I could get an advance, it asked a bunch of questions connected to my bank and started glitching so I deleted bank connection as well as the actual account yet I woke up being charged. Never hear from customer service. You lost a customer because of the lack of customer. I have emailed this company multiple times about my due dates on my payment because they wouldn’t line up when i got paid. Did i ever hear from them? No! I emailed last week about the due date. I gave the company three days before i emailed again. And nothing was done. This is pathetic that i can’t even get an email back about my issues.

Fun while it lasted. I got three advanced from credit genie. When I went to do another one they denied me and then I tried again the next day and they approved me for $10. Scam. Do not get this app I got a loan yeasterday and today I can’t get into the app at all it keeps saying my information is not right even though I know it is it won’t send me the email to reset my password so I can change my payment info. Not Worth It IMO. I downloaded this app several months ago. Every month they charge me a connection fee for having my bank connected to their app. This is mandatory in order to get approved for a cash advance. They charge me $4.99 every month however they NEVER approve me for a cash advance. Instead they refer me to other companies that may be able to help me but all of those places only offer loans🤦‍♀️ It’s a complete rip-off IMO so I disconnected my bank account and deleted my user account with them.

Stuck, would like to try. My review will be short and negative. I’m not sure if I’m possibly doing something incorrectly. I get all my information in and connect my bank account. A nightmare. I wouldn’t recommend this app to my worst enemy. Only a cruel person would do me like they have done me. I got an a FEW advances from them, then they decided not to “support” my bank. I would have never paid back my advance had I known that. I hope they all get what’s coming to them. Such an awful service.
