Good at the beginning. I got the app thinking it wasn’t go to be like the other apps I tried and I won’t have to pay for it. And so I got the App and played for the day and so I decided to take a brake and play the next day and so I got on and I finish the lesson and I was so excited to go to the next lesson when I tried to go to the next lesson it said I had to pay for it. So I thought it was an app where you can’t play all day so I waited until the next day and I tried it but it still said I had to pay. I was hoping this app didn’t have to make me pay. But I was wrong so I really hope you fix this because I liked the first little bit of it but now I can’t play because I’m not going pay $100 just to learn.

Good! Just one flaw.. This app is very good. It helps me learn fluently and helps me with my confident when I’m play the Uke. One flaw though, makes me give you 4 stars. The cost for the premium is far too expensive!! I mean, 30 dollars for one month? That’s absurd! And 130 dollars for a year?! REALLY?! In conclusion, this is a good app, but the cost for premium is too high. Thank you for your patience!

Disappointed coming back. I spent a year learning the Uke in 2020, before this was a separate app from yousician. I had the paid subscription and loved it, but backed off and cancelled my subscription after that year. I hadn’t played for a while, and came back to the app yesterday to play around for fun. I knew I wouldn’t have accessed to many of the songs, but now I can’t play and of the songs other than the lesions. I can’t even do the weekly challenge. I didn’t finish the lesions in the first place because I couldn’t go fast enough and I have hand issues so I have trouble doing bar chords, so I’m certainly not going to be able to do it now that I’m out of practice. This app is basically useless to me now.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU PLAY!!!. This game is amazing I love it so much. I got this app about two years ago and hated it. The game said that I got the note wrong but in reality I played the note, I recently got physical lessons and my music teacher told me that you need to press the string hard enough to make the correct sound. This will help with raging and potentially damaging your ukulele.

Amazing but…. I love this app it has helped me a lot with trying to learn the ukulele but, what happened with the thing of being able to unlocked more levels with paying? I had this app when it was new and it had this feature but, now the feature disappeared and sooner I’ll disappear with it because…

It doesn’t hear me I think. I have been wanting to learn ukulele ever since I made my own and took some lessons, I heard this app was good at teaching you and saw the reviews. I got my ukulele tuned up and started doing some basics, everything was going fine until the 5th one, I don’t know why but the app doesn’t do anything and at first I thought maybe my phone froze but it wasn’t frozen. I think maybe it can’t hear me but I played louder and closer and it still didn’t respond. I don’t know what is wrong with the app but I do feel very discouraged to learn the instrument now😫😖😣😭😥

Quality app hampered by expensive pricing. Just started playing the Ukelele and this app is a wonderful place to start. The problem for me is the pricing is crazy. $140 per year for software is pretty wild. I remember being able to buy software that would last for years in the past for a quarter of the price. Yeah it’s cheaper than paying a teacher, but at the end of the day since it’s software it shouldn’t really be more than $80 a year or $10 per month. If it offered more tuning options than it might be worth the price (such as tenor and baritone tuning).

Low G? Don’t bother…. I have heard great things about this app and was excited to use it with the new Uke I purchased… Well it was failing from the beginning! I was trying to tune for the app and it wasn’t accepting my G as in-tune… first let me say, while I’m new to the Uke, I am a musician so I have a trained ear and beyond that I have a separate tuner that assured me it was, in fact, in tune… then the playing started and again it would not recognize anything on that string! So I messaged them and was told Yousician was basically set up for Soprano and Concert Ukes only… Tenors with a Low G tuning we’re out of luck and Baritones don’t even bother… I mean I get why Baritones would be problematic since their tuning is entirely different but the app can’t adapt to an octave on one string?!? IT’S THE SAME NOTE JUST AN OCTAVE LOWER! This just boggles my mind… I’ve enjoyed the Guitar app so far but honestly I’m so put off by this shoddy situation I’m tempted to cancel them entirely.

Great way to learn. I started from not playing any instrument to playing pretty well all thanks to this app. The scoring, leaderboards and tracking personal best for all songs is a great motivator. A great use of gamification. I’m on my 105th straight week of use and still enjoy practicing with it and appreciate that they add several new songs each week.

Question. I found the features of this app to be really great even without paying for a subscription yet, however I have a Baritone Ukulele and I can find any sort of feature in the app that allows you to switch what kind of Ukelele your using? Is there a feature for this?

Best hundred bucks I’ve ever spent!. I taught myself how to play ukulele several years ago and wanted to pick it back up. So I went through the courses and was back at it within a day. I have so much fun playing the melodies for hours. It’s so easy to follow along, and there’s so many songs to choose from! I’ve learned so much! I love this app!

Great for beginners and advanced players. I am a beginner. Now, I can tune my ukulele because of this app! I also know how to strum up and down, all because of this app! This app is great, and you don’t have to be an intermediate player to do this! This is great for beginners and probably advanced players! I think this app is great. This app also gets most of my strums exact. I love this app. As long as you have the ukulele, and the heart to want to learn how to play it, you can learn any song. Try this app! Also, if you want to try the free trial of membership, you can! After, though, you’ll have to start paying but can cancel anytime. This app is great, and I think that people who want to learn ukulele should try this!

Fine for basics, mid to higher levels of Melody/finger strum need more. The instructional videos are plenty for the basics however when entering into the more intermediate Melody and finger style plucking, there is a lack of instruction. For example, the dual finger alternating plucking (hard to master) or placement of fretting fingers when playing Melodie’s that have subsequent notes in the same fret but different strings. It leaves students to be frustrated in their own devices. I think for a premium price, there should be more instruction/help videos for learners having difficulty beyond ,” just slow it down”

This app is everything to me. I’ve been using Yousician every day since December. I am learning bass, uke, guitar and piano… I\and voice. I have the Family subscription. I play at least an hour a day and I am getting pretty good. The app is fun, easy to follow and builds your skills step by step in a well structured training program. Thank you Yousician. This app has changed my life. One day, I will post a video of my progress from day 1.. probably after a year. I try to get a recording of my progress regularly

Listen Up People. AHHH!!! I hate this so much, first off, the tuner. the tuner says i have to tune wayyy up. but my own personal tuner says my strings are perfectly tuned. AND it kept saying that i was playing a wrong string. secondly, the teaching in the beginner stages it's just a 2/1 minute video. barely taught me anything except how to hold the ukulele. and when your doing the open notes, i'm doing it just fine but it says it's wrong. then i yell saying i hate it and i did the open note. how did that even happen?!?! it's bad and i think the singing classes are better.

Payment? Why.. I personally appreciate how they taught us a few chords and songs before mentioning paying. However, I don’t like how this app makes you pay to do any more lessons. This irritates me and I wanted to continue my lessons, because I was making such good progress. Maybe the creators could make a different way to unlock more things. Overall great app and I love it!

Discouraging, and buggy. I was so excited to try this out! I’m a new ukulele player so I want to learn more, duh! So I started playing with your app. The first mission was fairly easy! But then-you are kicked up to MELODIES. That course took me 2 weeks to finish. And then I was on chords. Phew. Easy right? NOPE! I was immediately hit with super fast intense songs. And whenever I play F major… “Missing note!” Really. I played both of the notes on the chord just fine. I was in the quietest room in my home, ONLY me, and somehow I’m playing it wrong when I see my fingers in the correct spaces. More interactive tutorials are needed as well, I am STILL have been struggling for four days on “My Dog Has Fleas - Chords”, I need more buildup before this. Anyways, if you get it to work it’s fine. 7.5/10

Why do we have to pay so quickly?. Don’t get me wrong, I love how the app is set up, and it’s really helps beginners like me, but I hardly get through 20 minutes on the app and I have to pay to continue? No thanks, I’m not going to pay that much money to keep learning. I feel like it’s a big turn off for younger users whose parents probably don’t want to pay for that, heck, I don’t even want to pay for that. If you want your competitors (if there are any) to gain more users because their stuff is cheaper or you learn more before paying, that’s fine with me. Sorry if I sound rude it any way, but my opinions are kind of strong 😅

Beginner friendly, until it’s not. I just got a ukulele and I thought this app would be great, and so far it was, but then I needed a subscription to learn more! To learn how to play more then two chords you need to pay $11 a month, which wouldn’t be that bad if you had to pay for it all at once! And the other options are worse, you need to pay $30 for one month. Other then the huge cost, I think this app is okay for people just starting, but maybe stick to another app to learn more about ukulele.

Goodbye Private Lessons, Hello Uke App!. I have been attempting to play ukulele for over a year with expensive private lessons and could barely play two songs. I finally downloaded this app after watching my 11 year old become a piano playing machine by using an app. I could not believe how good I was playing ukulele in less than a week with this app!!! There’s just something about immediately rocking out to a song you know and feeling like you’re totally jamming. I’m totally addicted to playing and look forward to every practice opportunity. I’m getting better faster and saving so much money - I highly recommend.

Great app to learn. This is a great app to learn ukulele for beginners! The videos are very helpful and it’s a fun learning experience. I’ve had a ukulele for years but never really put a thought to it. So, I decided to find a good free app that you don’t have to pay for. But, once you get to a certain point on the app it makes you pay. It will ask you to start a 7- day free trial but then you have to pay monthly just to play. Like I said it’s a good app but could use a few changes. 👍🏼😊

Makes me excited to play every day!. I set my alarm for 30 minutes to practice, and I end up playing over an hour! I just discovered that it can display notes as written music AND tabs. Now I feel like I can learn all the basics and then continue using the app to learn to read music! It’s worth the money!

Love the app but have a suggestion!. I recently got my first ukulele a couple weeks ago, and have been looking for apps to help me learn how to play it. So far out of all the apps I’ve tried, this one is definitely my favorite, but there’s only one thing that could make me love it entirely. Adding the Steven Universe soundtrack!! :) that show is what inspired me to get a ukulele in the first place, and I’ve been wanting to play the show’s songs for years. If you are able to add any of the songs from Steven Universe into the app (or at least the ones that use primarily a ukulele in them) I would 100% be more than happy to buy the subscription. Hands down. If I could learn to play any of the S.U. songs, my dream would come true. So, if you can, please please consider adding all or some of the songs from the soundtrack! I’m sure many other fans would appreciate it as well :)

Good but something is wrong. I loved the about 30 minutes of when I could use this app. After getting to Chords 1 after the video, I could no longer access the missions. I thought, “okay, it’s doing that thing where it won’t let you play all day” and I got off the app. 24 hours later, I tried to practice again, and still the same problem. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app to see if it was just a glitch but I still can’t play. I’m not going to pay for the premium plan just to do the things I was doing before. If this doesn’t get solved I’m going to delete the app, and for good this time.

Amazing app. This app helped me learn the ukelele with tutorials and listening to you play. When you play a song and mess up it stops. It has a ball that shows you where to go and colors for your finger and numbers to show you where to go! Lots of different songs! I would recommend if you want to learn the ukelele!

Must pay to use. Yousician used to allow 10 minutes of free play per day to users who didn’t want to pay the subscription. Now you get about 10 minutes total of free play before everything else is locked behind a pay wall. Yes, there’s a 7 day free trial but that’s not very long of a trial. I much preferred the 10 mins free per day model because you could actually try it out in little bits for as long as you want before deciding it’s worth it to pay. To be honest, I really only want to practice uke for about 10 mins a day anyways while I’m just beginning and I don’t want to pay for an expensive subscription to do so. I’d be happy to pay for a much cheaper subscription that cuts you off after 10 minutes/day.

Perfect! A few cons,. Hello! This is coming from a person right now, at 12:28 P.M! Great app! Really helps me learn songs I wanted to play on the uke/ukulele! All-though there are a few cons, I was like half way into the start of the app (obviously when I first started) and when I played one of the strings in (Learning melodys lesson 1) It told me to play string 2 Fret 3 and I did it but it did not work, I wasted half a hour trying to make it work, And then my brother talked somehow how string 2 fret 3 sounds like, The other con is when I was getting my ukulele ready by tuning it, It said that string “E” A.K.A string 2 was string “C” A.K.A string 3. Luckily there is only 2 cons in my opinion! Great app. One more con, As I was playing “My dog has Fleas” In almost the first melody, I noticed that it was WAY to hard for a beginner like me, I have only been using Yousician for around a week or so, i JUST started it and it was way to hard. I literally had to make sure I was actually tuned. Still deserves a 4.5 star. Less better app.

Very good. A while back I complained that you wouldn’t post any songs, but now you fixed it so I don’t have to worry. But I forgot about this thing. The fingerpicking version of Here Comes the Sun instead of the hassle that everyone fails at near the end of the song, I recommend: D F# A Bb F D A F C G E C E G This uses the first 3 frets of the ukulele and the first G is on the 4th string and the 2nd is on the 2nd string

Great for beginners but in app purchases have gone two far!. This is a great app for beginners like me but once you get to a certain point you have to pay the extremely expensive monthly or yearly fee. It is the most helpful app I have found so far but because of the subscription I can’t use it anymore. The teachers and videos are so great and I love how it gradually moves you up at a slow but fast pace. Overall it is a great app but no one can use it to the max because of the overwhelmingly priced subscription.

Very very good! A must have for starter musicians!. I love this app very much. I feel like it boosted my ukulele and guitar skills. It’s very good at teaching chords, the tuning it provides it amazing, and there are many cool songs in different playing levels for you to try. But I wish you would add some more songs like ‘count on me’ and ‘over the rainbow’ and other songs that just remind people of the ukulele. Another thing that I thought would be nice if you guys added was the lyrics to the songs. They could play on the spot above the chords so that the player could ing along to the songs as well as play them. It’s just a thought :) This is a very good app and I can’t wait to learn more. Thanks! 🎸

Might be good but.... Ugh... I really can't be bothered by signups just to use and sample the software. But the good news is I can be bothered enough to leave a gripe. All I wanna do is play the ukulele, so when I'm greeted with a requirement of signup account.. Nope. I just dont feel like it because I have less important things to take care. So, is it good software, maybe...who knows. While this app may help YOU become a better ukulelist, it absolutely killed my interest... what can i say other than, life is too short to signup and create stupid "accounts" to some ukulele app. You guys aren't a bank, sheesh! I hope the developers of this app realize that the invention and usage of the spork doesn't require signup account to use it as a tool. But when that unfortunate day does arrive, we can blame the developers of this ukulele app as complicit towards that dystopian future. Don Ho is rolling in his grave.

Perfect for a beginner (Like me)!. Hello! This is a wonderful app, I bought a Concert Ukulele a week or two ago and have not stopped using this app since! I found it a bit confusing at first but after getting the ant of it I succeeded! I’m currently paying for a monthly plan and want to go all the way until I finish the lessons! There are some suggestions I’d like to make though! -One being to make this available on consoles! I have an Xbox at home that is hooked up to my TV so I could be looking at my Yousician lessons on a bigger screen if made possible! It’s okay on my phone however with tiny screens I find it that I have to hunch over to see my lessons and notes! - Second maybe add a larger array of songs! I originally bought to Ukulele to play my own favorite songs on however none of them are on Yousician :,) (My personal favorites being ones created by Rebecca Sugar). However if that is a hard option to make happen it’s understandable! But overall a very good app for learning basics and it is beginner friendly all round. Love the fort put into this app and I can see a lot more potential for the future!

Money hungry. There are a lot of reviews on here about the price. And I get that you have to charge for this stuff. However I feel like making a way to unlock things slowly might work better for this app. And I’m not saying everything. Like having most of the lessons being able to be unlocked by getting 3 stars in the lessons. It would take time and most people who can afford it would still by the premium. I’ve been playing for years and still had some trouble with the first lessons. I would try the free trial but I saw that someone got charged anyway when putting in their info. There are also some reviews about the tuning, and honestly some of that might just be due to cheep ukes some people get. Cheep strings snap

Probably good but not good for me please look at this if you are one of the people who made ukulele. First of all HOW do you have 4.5 rating I was looking at the reviews and I saw SOO MANY bad reviews (sorry you so many bad reviews)anyway so you see string 4 is the only one that works for me it’s hard to explain but when I trie to pluck the Other strings it says I’m plulcking the wrong one even though I’m doing the right one and when I try to you know tune it right it says I’m doing the wrong thing but I’m doing the right thing and whenever I try to pluck number 3 2 and 1 it says I’m plucking the wrong one if you are seeing this the people who make ukulele please fix this issue because I really want to learn the ukulele oh and also I can’t do anything because whenever I can’t learn any songs because I it just doesn’t work for me like I don’t know how to explain it but it says I’m putting the wrong one even though I’m plucking the right one anyway like I said if you are seeing this pleease fix this issue

Strumming subscription. I loved this so much because I learned a lot and recommend it to others, although I was exited when I got to strumming and it said I had to pay and though it is great I won’t be able to pay. I know your company does it so you can have money but maybe get ads and a subscription to all ads instead because I really wanted to play more but I can’t and have to find a new way. Thank you for the teaching you gave until strumming I did learn a lot

Everything is behind a paywall and it’s not friendly to advanced players. I’ve been playing ukulele for about 8 years, but I believe there’s always room for improvement, especially in my technical skills. Downloaded this app hoping to learn some new songs and because I thought it would be a fun game to play. There’s no placement tests to put you further along in the course, which is a major turn off for someone who is proficient in basic chords. My biggest issue with this app is not that it caters more towards beginners, that’s fine in my opinion. My issue is that EVERYTHING is behind a paywall. You can maybe get 10 minutes out of this app before you’ve completely run out of modules to do. If the developers of this app were hoping to inspire new musicians to learn these skills, they have failed.

One thing…. I’ve been wanting to learn how to play ukulele for a long time, and this app is really helping, but I feel like you shouldn’t have to pay to continue the lessons. We al came here to learn, not pay for stuff. I feel like the premium thing should be optional and not have it to where you have to pay to continue our lessons. Please, please take this into consideration because I want to continue learning with this app.

My review. This is my first time writing a review for any app. Normally it's cause I don't do one but for this app I am because this was the best app I ever used! Simply guitar ruined my guitar strings, so I did not use any more apps until I got a ukulele, and I wanted to learn, so I searched up some apps, and I found an amazing one. This was definitely my most favorite!

It’s great but there’s something that bugs me. It’s great I learn with it it’s all good and perfect for beginners like me but then when you get to the strumming cords after you watch the video you can’t play anymore unless you have the trial but that’s what bugs me because I don’t have the trial and it just doesn’t let me learn anymore and it doesn’t let you learn the things after that or any of the songs either just the ones you’ve already played it’s good but problems.

MY DREAM APP!!!!. Oh my gosh I have always wanted an app like this and I finally found one. I’ve been wanting to play ukulele for years now and I haven’t been able to find an app that actually helps and it gives you a lot of feedback like if you miss a note, it will let you try again and it won’t just move on. You can even adjust the speed of the songlater on once you become more experienced, it will let you unlock a whole library of songs that you can play so don’t miss out on this awesome app

Very disappointed. All the songs that used to be free are now part of the subscription. You can hardly do anything for free. The challenges that were fun used to be free, but now the songs used for the challenges are part of the subscription. I searched and I couldn’t find one free song to play. Songs that used to be free and that were used in the lessons aren’t free anymore so you can’t even complete the lesson. The price for the subscription is ridiculously high too. I guess the only thing that you can do for free is the tuner. I’m very disappointed.

Constructive Criticism!. Hi! This is Peyton. I’m here to review this app. I am also here to help give suggestions on how you can make this app better! This is an amazing app and it’s helped me with the frets, which I needed practice with. Now, don’t take this to personally because I’m not calling this a bad app. However, I was loving the lessons until I got to the strumming lessons!! I get that you need to make money, however, kids like me don’t have parents that buy the subscriptions for us! So when I needed the subscription to do the strumming, I was really sad about the fact I couldn’t do any of the songs on there! Plus, the song library has songs that only need the subscription. What could help is that you make all of the lessons free and then, for the song library, you can make some of the songs free by making a free section in the song library. Again, amazing app, but that was the only thing I didn’t like about Ukulele by YOUSICIAN. Thank you for reading Sincerely, Peyton.

Just What I Needed. This app is amazing for beginners in all sorts of ways. The helper videos it gives you are very transparent and the playing part is made so you can go at whatever pace you want. All tho if you want to go on you would have to get the premium. So just a heads-up for anyone who is looking for an entirely free app to learn the ukulele. Anyways this has really helped me and I hope it helps you to learn something new.

I’m extremely sad 😔. I have had a uke for a while, but I just started learning it. This app was the top result in the App Store, so I took a look. I was pleased to find that it was free. I understood that there was an optional subscription, but I misunderstood that you NEED the subscription if you would like to practice for more than 2 short lesson/segments. I understand that you need to make money and the people who made and are improving this app have families and need money. I wish that some lessons were free, while others required the subscription. I wish that some songs were free, while others required the subscription. Also, some people have things in their lives that require time. If you want to charge $12 per month for the subscription, you also need to realize that some people don’t have time to practice all the time. You are ripping people off. However, this app (the small section that was free) was really helpful, giving me personalized feedback. The tuning was on point. This caused me to give two stars instead of one, but I am still really sad and disappointed that I need a subscription. I ended up deleting this app. So please, lower your prices.

Yusician is good for beginners. I like teaches you how to tune it teaches you how to play Fretz play open notes it’s just overall really good for beginners. I got so excited when I played my first song it was so fun and I have learned about like 50. once you start, you cannot stop playing songs

This app is amazing and perfect for beginners!. My sister has a ukulele and hasn’t been playing it, so I want to try to play it. I tried two other apps, but the “tutorials” weren’t very helpful. This app though. It tells you how to hold a uke, how to play it, how to read the notes, how to play chords and I haven’t even gone past the beginner stage! I also love the fact that you don’t need to pay for it (there is an X on the free trial screen) which is very helpful for me (since I don’t have much money). Overall, an amazing app. Would 100% recommend to beginners.

Too expensive. I tried out the app and really liked it. After a couple of days I realized I couldn’t go any further as it was behind a paywall. I get having to pay to for an app, no problem, $30 a month though seems steep. Sure I could buy a year for $12/month but I don’t even know if want to keep learning this instrument. Plus I won’t even be able to use it after that time expires. If I buy the app, I should be able to always have access to what I paid to buy; rental apps are garbage imho. Sadly can’t recommend

Great app!. At first I wasn’t sure about this app when I read all of the reviews but when I gave it a try, I was impressed! This app is perfect for beginners and it is free (there is an x on the payment screen). Sometimes it got a little frustrating when I didn’t hit the note exactly at the perfect time and I thought I got it. If you are advanced I would not recommend because there is no way to go ahead and the app just asumes you are a beginner. Overall I think this app is great and there is a variety of songs to play on your ukulele in addition to instructions.

It's okay for beginners I guess. I accidentally bought this app when I didn't cancel the premium trial in time. I've been using it almost daily and it's mostly ok. My biggest complaints are 1) sometimes it just doesn't recognize a note even when I've played it correctly and on time. This makes it very difficult to get 3 gold stars. 2) this problem goes away in practice mode if I turn off "play for me" in the settings. 3) there is no option to turn off "play for me" in performance mode. 4) is it possible to get the lyrics as an option? I like singing while I'm playing,it helps me keep time, but a lot of these exclusive songs are unknown to me.. When my paid subscription is up I won't be renewing, I'll be looking for another app.

Hard. U play for a little and then it skips to incrediblY hard stuff. I would only recommend this app if you have a quick brain and flexible hands/fingers. It’s an okay app. Also sometimes even if I play, the right note it says it’s wrong and my uke is perfectly tuned. Would not recommend if you are a beginner from scratch just like me.

Great app! (Not a bot, LOL). It’s really good, and it helps you learn really quickly, too! So, I made my ukulele by hand, and wanted to Lean how to play! And now, it’s a few days, and I think I’m doing very well! Great app, it does involve a subscription, but it’s reasonable. EEEEE

Why can’t we do it for FREE!. W

Not bad but. Can you please check the tuner. It says I am playing diff strings all the time even if I play the right one for example when I play string 1 it says I am playing string 3 😅😓😓😓

When is the best time to plant a tree?. The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago ……or today ! I’ve always wanted to play an instrument. And I’ve started. Yes I’m older than I wanted but here I am. It is working. I read other reviews and there was complaints about cost. Private lessons are way more expensive and a lot harder to fit ito your time. This app suits me. I can practice as I wait to pick my son up from school etc, put it down , do some more later, fit it in every where. Do the trial and see what you think. It is working for me !

What do all different Costs entail. What do all the different cost cover?

Absolutely not giving access to my credit card. What a ridiculous expectation. Deleted the app because it’s advertised as free with some in app purchases, and the very first thing you do is try to charge people for a membership after a 7 day “trial”. You’re establishing you are greedy liars right from the start, so thanks for being so obvious with guess.

Once paid Amazing 🤩. So when I first got this app I was super exited for it however when u don’t pay u can only do 2 lessons untill u had to pay but once u did I learnt abt 2 songs a day and im so addicted to my ukulele I forget to log-on to my rblx to claim my reward now bc as soon as I get home this is my brain: “Ditch bag, PLAY UKULELE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” So this app gets a 5 star rating from me ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Why do you have to pay?. I enjoyed the first two levels of it but then you have to pay money to get the rest of it and there is no way my parents are paying so I guess I’ll download another or give up ukulele.

awesomeness. love. a must have!!

I recommend this app if u wanna learn music. I really enjoy using this app to get better at playing my uke. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to learn an instrument.

I HATE IT. You know why I hate it because I do it right but it says I do it wrong 😑

Chantel. Love the app it teaches me awesome stuff

Good but bad. It’s an amazing app to learn the basics and about 4 songs but if you want to learn anything else, you have to get premium and it’s really fun and simple at the start but all of the other songs that are on the gallery require premium

I feel like giving up this hobby of the ukulele. …

Good gamified learning. Teaches chords and picking melody basics well, the lessons are gamified. 10 minutes a day free or pay. Gets hard after level 5. Worth paying for a year.

not worth it. you can’t use the app or learn anything without paying. definitely not worth it

This is good. Hey um there is a bug on mine and when I tune it it says I am playing the wrong string

So Frustrating… don’t waste your money. This is the most expensive and frustrating way of learning my Uke. The first section is either too basic and boring or is suddenly advanced and arrogating. It leaves me angry and frustrated. I end up hating my time trying to play and playing my uke used to always make me happy. Hopefully finally getting to the lessons with chords and strumming, I can build on the small amount of knowledge I have gained before this app. I WISH I HAD NOT WASTED MY MONEY and had continued working on my own for free with the very helpful tutorials on YouTube and uke music sheets on Pinterest.

All. The library off songs do not match my classes. Not many older type songs for a senior citizen. I would be asking for y money back but paid with apple so have wasted $179

Amazing. Once I paid for that I learned pretty quickly. THANK YOU FOR CREATING THIS WONDERFUL APP!!! :)

Yousian is the best. Okay thanks for that

Unexpected. Why would you pay and learn some songs? Videos are better than this useless app. YOU EXPECT ME TO PAY FOR THIS?

Internet problem. The internet is not letting me update the app and I can’t play if it isn’t updated

Easy to understand. Great for beginners

App is great but….. I think this app is fantastic and I have no problem paying for it. However, I have a massive problem paying $21.99 per month and not having any access to songs. I just want to pay monthly and because of this I am limited to lessons. I will end up paying more (almost 50% more) than the upgraded version but have way less access. I’m actually fine with paying more per month but you should get full access too!! This doesn’t make any sense to me and just seems ridiculous. I am not sure it’s worth it to be honest, really disappointing as the app itself is great but I’ll probably unsubscribe.

Good but could be cheaper. I look really hard for a good ukulele app and this app was sensational it was very good for your basics but the melodies are the only things you can do when you finish them ( there is only 4 songs) I love this app but it could be cheaper for a year! ( it is $150 a year!)

Ukulele. Not particularly good, the programs are reasonably good to practice but the end is always about speed. To pass the lesson it is always about how fast you can play it. I have played with groups and at no time did I ever play at speeds required by Yousician, that is not to say that there are not fast tunes, but Yousician I think, bring the speed requirement in to early and should be much farther down the program, let us learn to play first and the speed will come naturally.

You can only do two lesson for free. This app is okay until you get to the second lesson. You can only do the beginning level and level one before you have to pay $117 a year and that is extremely expensive. You should be able to have the 30 minutes free every day no matter what level you are on. Making people pay is arrogant and infuriating.

Uike. Tap

Waste of time. You will never learn anything unless you pay the exorbitant Yearly fee. For those that just want a bit of fun go elsewhere because this is not for you

Didn’t get far. I started the trial and got as far as 2/5, the second short lesson, ie tabs. I tried to replay this and it dropped out every time, half way through. So I only got 20 minutes into the 7 day trial. A pity, because I really liked the approach. Am I missing something. Seems like a very short trial.

Ukulele. The app is amazing

Boring. No good. Boring. I dont like it. It would be good to have more than just the one string at a time without purchases.

It was really fun 😀. Love it

Amazing. This helps you learn ukulele so good I’m a pro now.The only thing I wish is for theses people to not make it with money with an unbelievable price!

Happy Birthday. Too short

Not good :(. It broke my ukulele when I was tuning it..

I taught myself. Great app and all but I know a f chords and have made some of my own songs and I’ve been playing about a month, only using YouTube, so ask yourself, is the money worth it

Learning. It is a great way of learning how to play the ukulele

Amazing. This app is amazing. I find it so addictive. It makes learning fun (and a little anxiety provoking) as it’s like playing a game and trying to get the top score. Glad I invested in premium. Worth every penny. One minor fault but nothing that affects my learning. On the first strum of a note, it will say incorrect but a subsequent one straight after is correct. Not sure what’s going on there but it doesn’t really affect my progress, just my score. Pity there isn’t more songs on there that I’m interested in but again, it’s great for learning and practicing moving those finger around the fret board.

Learning. I have no experience with music. After buying my first instrument a ukulele this app has allowed me to learn the basics at my own pace in my free time. I look forward to my practice as it feels like a game as I learn.

enough. the only reason i downloaded this is to tune my ukulele but i cant anymore because THE UPDATE REQUIRES 13IOS OR LATER NOBODY HAS THAT KIND OF MONEY

Great. This app has thought me so much in so little time, I can also use the same subscription for piano!

The best app!. This is the best free app, better then many paid apps. Give it a try.

It’s really good. It has good ukulele lessons and it also has a tuner which is amazing, it’s one of the best ukulele apps.

Pro mode. Overall a good app except in order to get to level 2 out of 10, you have to spend money.

Paywall. It’s a really great app for learning ukelele but when I got to the learning the F chord and the strumming learning is can learn them do to the paywall if it weren’t for the paywall so early in it it would be really great

Like it, but not that much exercices for very beginners…. Like it but not enough very easy things…

👎👎. I tried the 7 day free trial and i cancelled it before 7 days and got charged $149.99???

Helps me practise. my uke has been sitting in my room for so long but when I found this app I have been playing every other day amazing app

Awesome!. Love the app! It taught me how to play quickly and easily. It’s great.

It often hears my ukulele. If I do what it tell me to do it said I did it wrong that makes me annoyed

Horrible app. I tuned my ukulele and somehow it thought string one or two was string 3 or 4 and I’d play string 4 open and it would think it was string 1 this app is overrated

Yousician. I’m like this app, before this app I was so trash at ukulele, after yousician, I did great. The reason I didn’t give 5stars is because it says wrong to the correct chords.

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING. Read the title

Left handed. Could you please make the beginner lessons also left handed

Can’t play baritone, no customer service. The app has stopped playing music, and doesn’t work for my baritone, and sometimes my tenor. No customer service- I contacted the 4 days ago, no response. Very expensive app, for nothing

Sorry I’m broke. I cannot get premium ☹️☹️

Tuning. This app is a great way to learn. However, when I was tuning the app had kept saying that i needed to check which string I was on. And I knew for a fact that I was on the right string. This made me very frustrated.

Frustrating. I was tuning my ukulele then I was on string 2 and they thought I was plucking string 1

Bad. It kept saying string 4 was string 3

Good so far!. Excited to continue

Inaccurate. I play the right notes but it doesn’t recognize it. My cousin who is very good at ukulele also says I played the right notes but it said it’s wrong. Don’t use

Facturation frauduleuse!. Je n’ai même pas encore réellement essayer cette appli, sans avertissement, je vois mon compte bancaire sans même que je puisse en douter…cela ne devrait jamais se produire en temps normal.

Nice app not impressed with subscription.. I wish I wasn’t forced to upgrade from Premium to Premium Plus to o through the learning section of this app. I get the library limitations but I don’t agree with the limitations of lessons.

Great. It’s really good!

It doesn’t LISTEN to me. It doesn’t LISTEN to me and split the notes into more measures

Stupid dont waste your time¡. I’m only giving it two stars because the tuning works pretty well but the premium is too expensive to pay for. I thought this app would be good to learn to play ukulele it is, but to just go past level one you need to pay for premium. It sucks.

Name. Why isn’t this called Youkulele by Yousician???

Doesn’t Support Baritone Ukulele. I only play baritone so the app is pretty much useless to me. It shouldn’t be that hard to support baritone (DGBE) tuning. Please consider adding it in the future. I will be deleting the app for now.

So far so good , would recommend!. I’ve reached level 4, I have learned so much in just a few weeks. I would love to have the lyrics of the songs and be able to sing along. Also some of the chords aren’t registering all the time despite having the right chord. Although kind of expensive, I’m impressed with the app and ukulele lessons would have cost me a lot more. I can do this at my leisure in my home. I would recommend. I would love to see the lyrics as well.

New songs never added, old songs removed. Love how the latest update doesn't even let you see the song catalogue unless you subscribe or do drills first. The guitar version is passable, but there are far cheaper and better alternatives to learn the ukulele. Give this app a pass.

It works but. It works but I do a note but it won’t hear me like I’m like two cm but it won’t hear

Good resource but incorrect a lot. Trying to get gold stars on songs and it is saying I am not hitting notes when I am and they are all correct. Gets frustrating especially when trying to gold I have to play over and over just to complete even though I know it was 10 tries ago.

Amazing. This app is incredible and taught me how to play ukulele when I was looking for a summer hobby. I truly recommend for all those who want to learn an instrument!

It motivates me to practice my ukulele. I like the application. I have no problems recognizing the notes. The challenges are progressive and well thought out. I like the mechanisms for learning and repeating the more complex parts at the desired tempo. UI is nice too. The application alone isn't enough: it lacks tips, demonstrations and a bit of theory. You need to use other resources in parallel. All in all, it's a very nice app.

Awsome. This app is awsome I’ve had a ukulele sitting in the back of my closet for years looking for a ukulele app to help me learn my ukulele and this is awsome it helped me learn songs and made a impossible ukulele turn into my favorote instrument

Good app. I don’t have any problem with this app it is just great!

Langue. On commence en Français mais on achète et oui c’est en français sous-titrée. Donc on regarde ce qui est écris mais pas les doigt de la personne notre attention n’est pas la même très déçue.

Wish I could get past level ONE. To get past level ONE you have to pay. How am I supposed to learn and have fun if I have to pay twelve dollars a month? It would have been such a great app if I could progress though the levels without paying.

So bad. So bad not even sure if I will get the thing and all you are doing is playing frets

Terrible. This app sucks. It never picks up the cords when I play, and my ukulele is tuned well.

Perfect. I Learned how to decently play the Ukelele In 2 days!!!

anonymous. i love yousicain because it’s so calming and it lets you go at your pace till your ready it’s so fun for bigginers my child love to learn ukulele for her band thanks yousicain

Excellent App. Recommend to any beginner !

it is too hard. it is too hard

Some bugs. Sometimes bugs a little and like it’s especially for my third cord it’s very hard to get it like right because like they always say it’s not good

Cool. It’s cool and resourceful

Expensive. I miss the good old days when we were able to play for a limited time each day for free (and guitar and uke were on the same app). Of course I know they didn’t make as much money with that model, but it was friendly. It’s all about money, I guess we have to accept it’s how the world works. However due to the relatively expensive subscription cost compared to other apps, I don’t think I will continue past my 7 day trial. Maybe if a deal comes up in the future.

This made me mad. When I was playing the number 4 it wasn’t listening

Much improved music selection. I have enjoyed playing Yousician for quite awhile now. I think it is good, especially for beginners to gain familiarity with their instruments and to learn music basics. It has become much more interesting and fun to play with songs that I know and like that I learn to play!

Ehhh. Ok, at first this was really helpfull, but once it came to the frets it was not. So when I learned the frets in the song I played the correct string with the correct fret but it said I wasn't even playing anything. Second of all with th frets is that I followed the directions to play the fret string but it sounded so unlike his happy little fret note and it sounded dead. 👎👎👎👎

Practice but it’s pretty easy. It’s really easy to learn a uke, I’m on day three and I’m on a easy song. There really easy to tune as well just tap the key you wanna tune and tune it so it doesn’t mistake one key for the other . It’s pretty good, better than the yet lessons

Great. I’m just now learning an instrument and Yousician is making it a bit easier to do so. I can tune and practice my ukelele at my leasure and it’s helping me learn songs and how to read music. Can’t wait to learn another instrument after this one.

Can’t catch notes. I would be playing everything right and it would say I missed the note. No amount of tuning it at all fixed the problem. And it would pass me even if I stopped playing. It’s kind of hard to learn like this but I got the basics down thankfully

Good. Right now I’m in the tryout and I love it it helps tune it help me know the cords I need to know and more soon I will be able to remember any song I learned it’s so good and a tip is sometimes if it’s not working then just try to retune your ukulele

Unfair. After about 10 minutes or so the app tells you that you need to pay for more if you want more time or else you have to wait for another 24 hours to get 10 more minutes if you’re willing to spend the money I think it’s a great app but 10 minutes that’s about how long it takes to get engaged and then they cut you off

Horrible Pay to Use System. This app used to have a system where you could use the app for a small amount of time each day. Now EVERYTHING is paid. After completing the most basic of basic tutorial, EVERYTHING is behind a paywall. And the prices are so prohibitively expensive that I can’t even consider paying for it. The tutorial wasn’t even long enough to judge if it’ll be worth it as I move along. Hope I can find a different app because this one is unusable now.

It’s okay. Please add more melody songs!!!!! i feel like 95 percent of the songs on this app are chord songs and i don’t always want to play those and with all these new songs being added there’s only the chord versions i would love to play these songs if you would just add more versions of them! also you guys just slowly remove any of the good songs that are left on this app and if you keep on doing that this app is going to be terrible

Not great. This app isnt very good because 1, you have to pay just to keep learning, and 2, all the beginner songs are very hard, and they dont seem to prepare you enough for unrealistic speeds. The practice mode is only for practicing, and you cant change the speed to get past the song. They have minigames on the different speeds, but they are nowhere close to the speed of the song that is right after it.

Love this app. This app is making the learning experience fun. I don’t know if it’s the best way to learn this instrument but it makes me wanna play all the time and keep picking up my ukulele. And that’s a darn good start. Couldn’t recommend it his app enough!

It’s a good app until………. It was good until I got to the chords on the learning because I had to subscribe to go on so I would suggest this app but you have to pay to move on and so I deleted the app. But if they didn’t have that I would still be using the app, overall it’s a good trainer for the part I did. A 4.5 app

I hate this app. This app NEEDS help it doesn’t teach u anything it won’t help u remember any of the keys. The worst part is NOTHING is free you need to buy everything and it’s so expensive. The app may free but you need to buy everything. This app needs to be improved I thing they should take down the app and redo everything because at this point it’s making me not wanting to play the ukulele. And I want to learn a song before I go to ukulele lessons but it won’t let me do anything.

Unless you’re going to pay, not recommended. This app is probably the only decent ukelele teaching app. The only thing is that almost everything is locked unless you get the subscription plan. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good app that you can actually learn with, but if you aren’t trying to spend a lot of money, maybe don’t get it.

Nice and cool app! But….. Hello! I love this app! It teaches me and everyone in my family how to play the family ukulele!but….I’m a little sad tho…. I was looking for my favorite dong the the sreach bar but….I didn’t find it tho!…. My favorite song is “ Fallen down “ from undertale! If it is in the app, my apologies!

Didn’t teach me anything. The app gives you one person on learn that’s easy and then every single song you play you slow it down to 0 and then you can do it. It teaches nothing about how to switch to a cord easier or anything. It just throws you in. Also just keep it on Yousician app.

paying to learn. This app was amazing at first, but when I finished the basics and got to the lessons, I have to pay for the subscription to do them. Almost every song requires the subscription to play. In my opinion this app is asking you to pay for everything, even to learn

100% recommend!. I went through 3 tuning apps. Each one resulted in a different sound. This one actually worked. My ukulele is finally in tune and I can’t wait to learn more!

Amazing for beginners!. I recently started using a this app, and overall, I found it to be an excellent tool for learning. The app is amazing and offers easily understood lessons. However, there were a few instances where I found the pace to be a bit too fast for my liking. I did encounter some sections where the pace felt a bit rushed.

It’s pretty good, but one problem. When i’m on the tuning part it tells me to loosen it so much its about to come off and i’m really confused. If I skip the tuning part and I even think its on tune, nothing works. I’m so confused. Also, it only listens to my playing rarely and usually says I played the wrong string.

money. this app is amazing I was on it for the first maybe hour practicing all my songs over and over again but then when I got to my next lesson around lesson three it kicked me out made me want to buy everything but it’s so expensive I would love to do this for free and I would finish it off I’d probably do it again and recommend it to my friends but now I’m not going to

Best guitar app period.. Best guitar app I have ever used got the premium plan the whole family using using the other training included like singing, piano and ukelele instruments having a blast everyday. I Recommend to anyone you will not be able to put it down.

My review #_#. It’s a great game but it has a problem. I play the right note or chord but it says I play the wrong one. It always happens on the same exact part on the same exact spot. The app is great overall but I think they need to fix some things. :)

Big Disappointment. I started to use this app and I actually really enjoyed it until I realized I can’t play any songs or learn any strumming tips because they have everything locked down unless you pay for “premium”. If I can’t use a regular version why is paying to use the app called premium. They would have done way better if they had just had a price to get the app. They had a great thing going and totally ruined it for the stinginess of the company.

Ehh. The app is good and all but there’s 2 apps you have to get which wastes space and when you tune and tune over and over you will get different tunes. Also when you are playing a song, the frets kind of work but sometimes it doesent work and says it’s a different note. Get it if you want.

Worst thing ever. Hello! I hate this game so much I couldn’t even tune it I was playing the right string and it said are you doing the right thing then it crept saying tune up so I tuned up then I thought maybe I am tuning this down so I started doing it the other way and it kept saying turn up turn up then I tried again and it said tune down or tune up on every not making me make it looser or tighter like I was about to pop the string so please don’t waste your time doing this.

Terrible, not recommended. So when I got this app I was excited so I would play the ukelele. First few minutes were great but as I went on to the next levels they were saying I was not picking the right string and I looked and that was the exact string they wanted me to play and it counted things wrong even if I did it correct. This made me cry for hours . I thought it was my fault and my fingers were hurting forever! DO NOT GET IT IF YOU WANT YOUR LIFE TO BE HARDER AND COMPLICATED!

Best App I’ve used. Before I even opened musician I had no clue what to even do with my hands on the ukulele. now I’m playing my favorite songs after only three days. if I could give it 10 stars I would

Pretty good. Its good but there are some difficulties like a level 2 song would be in level 1 but other stuff like that but other then that ok app for complete starters but if you know some stuff this is for you just zoom by and on your way

It’s okay. The first stage was nice I loved it it taught me a lot but later in the second stage It was so HARD I got so frustrated. If there is one thing I would change in this app is add a middle between HARD and easy. But overall I wish luck to this app, the ukulele is fun and teaching people how to play it is a great thing to do. Thank you for the first stage it was great.

Money hungry. This app worked great for the three free lessons I got, but to learn anything more than two chords and some really easy songs you need to pay for their subscription. I understand having a free app is hard, but at least put ads on the Home Screen? Or just don’t make it free at all if you’re going to be so limiting. I think this is a great idea and the app works well, but I’m not willing to pay $140/year for it.

Must pay to play. Everything is behind a paywall plus tuning for the use is off in the app. I also have GuitarTuna by yousician and yearly for that so I feel this should be bundled with it. The tuning in GuitarTuna for the uke is much better than it is on this app. The only down side of GuitarTuna is that they Dont offer much more for the uke other than the tuning aspect. yes there is a few songs but not many at all, and not too user friendly when switching between instruments.

This app is absolutely garbage. Do not use this app. I have been playing for 2 months before I started using this app, so I wanted to skip the tutorials to play songs. EVERY SINGLE TIME I CLICKED ON A SONG IT ASKED ME TO BUY ALL SONGS. It was the most annoying thing ever. And don’t even get me started on the tutorials. They are annoying, frustrating, confusing, and just plain boring garbage. I would suggest to use the Kala app over Yousician, Kala is better by a long shot.

Good app but it is going to fast. I love learning with this but when your learning it is to fast after your done with one thing you get thrown in to something that is 3 times harder then what you just did but it is a good app it is just to fast for me

Great but needs low g. This app is a great way to learn, but needs a low g option in settings (or if there is one I can’t find it). I have 2 ukuleles with low g that I can’t use. Fortunately I did get a free soprano that still has high g that I can use for this app, but it almost a plastic toy. A low g option would be great.

music education. How do you expect people to learn if you lock all of them? At least lock only some of them so people can do stuff like strumming the chords. I would put 3 1/2 but it gets a 4 for now. Otherwise, it's still a good app.

Amazing. I am 13 years old and got my ukulele at about 10 but hadn’t used it till last year, I got this app and it teaches so well!! I stopped playing because it said I had to pay but I have relearning everything now!

I can’t say enough good things about this app. I have tried to tackle instruments over the years and they all fizzle out, Youcisian made me stick with it! It feels like playing a video game (guitar hero vibes) and then suddenly you realize you’re making music on a real instrument. It’s a great way to learn.

Good but….. I love how the setup is arranged it’s wonderful but what If someone wanted to learn the ukulele and they used your app then later found out that to move forward in levels you have to pay 140 dollars. Just saying some people don’t have that kind of money you could lower it to 40 or 50 but why 140?

HORRIBLE AND DISCOURAGING. When I first downloaded the app I played a couple of chords and then it told me I had to pay but then it let me off and let me do some lessons but then out of nowhere it started to be a horrible app when I was playing my ukulele it just wouldn’t work The app was buggy and glitchy I started to cry and I counted my trying as ukulele strum‘s even though I was doing absolutely nothing but crying!?! DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!?!?!

Fine Until You Had To Pay. It was great because I got a ukulele for my birthday and I didn’t know how to play. But then it makes you pay to get lessons. Like what?!?! It’s so expensive too I just want to know how to play ukulele!! Deleting app. Don’t bother. (After response) Honestly, I just want a app to learn how to play without it wanting money from me. I am not a big fan of ads, but I prefer them over not even getting the app unless I pay some outrageous price. I stand by my decision and won’t be redownloading.

Why the change?. Didn’t know why they made a second app for this, it was a lot better to just keep it all in one. Instead of me downloading it wasting space. Ig delete the main app to download this Ukulele one.

Meh. . .. I dream to play the ukulele so I get this app. I am at first in awe of how they teach and it makes sense, but then I get past the basics and one section and it says that I need to subscribe. I mean like, what?!? I got this app to not have to subscribe and I HAVE to subscribe to continue. I think that isn’t fair, so hopefully they will change that.

Great for independent learning. I love this app. I’m using it to learn ukelele and piano. It’s engaging and fun. Each level teaches a new skill and challenges just a little more. I was nervous about spending the money but I get so much out of it and use it pretty much daily.

Tons of fun. I have been having a great time learning to play my ukulele with this game. I tried other ways to learn and nothing has really gotten me engaged like this. Well worth it.

So far so good. I gave up the ukulele a year ago. A week ago I saw this app on the App Store and downloaded it, and now I’m playing the uke every day. I’m pretty okay with not having premium, cause lately my fingertips are really sore but I still want to keep playing, so the time limit helps give my fingers a break 😂

Needs improvements, overall awful!. This app is great, but the tuner part was frustrating! I was playing on the correct strings and it said it was wrong and to check again?! I’m sure that I was on the right one. It was so frustrating I had to delete this app. I hope the tuner part gets better because I feel like this was horrible!

Amazing App. This was so good for teaching a beginner to play!! Only thing was… after about an hour and a half of playing, it told me I needed to get a subscription to continue. It’s an amazing app if you are willing to pay, but I just wasn’t.

Amazing. I really like it it helped me learn and moved at my pace all I would change is the fact that if your still at the learning course you can’t play songs, or was that just me

Amazing app but you have to pay to continue. I downloaded this app thinking it was free but for me it wasn't. They let you do like three lessons that you have to have to start paying. I was kinda frustrated at this but if you are willing to pay it is a really good learning app, probably one of the best out there.
