Not good!! Almost Made me cry!. I got my keyboard a year ago for Christmas, and I’ve tried a bunch of different piano teaching apps in hopes of finding one for free that I would be able to learn to play really well on. I tried simply piano, but after doing one lesson it was charging me like $70 to continue. And that was just for a One month membership!! Then I saw this and was like, “ok, this might work!” I read the reviews and they were all good, so I got the app. I got through 1 and a half lessons before the app wouldn’t let me continue without paying. Made me SUPER MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this point I’m just gonna ask a friend to teach me. NOT HAPPY AT ALL! If you want more customers, charge WAY LESS, then we’ll talk.

Great if you already have some musical knowledge. I am an adult and a true beginner in piano and all music. I think this app is good; however it is lacking in some basic information and could use more skills practice. I would like to see more teaching of musical notation at the beginning and I would also like to see a mode that overlays the enhanced notation with the musical sheet notation (I think this mode exists in the other Yousician app for string instruments) I had to ask my husband, who is much more musical than me, to explain the meaning of the sheet notation so that I would know how long to hold the notes for on piano. Overall, this app has lots of great lessons and songs to practice playing.

Really great piano app except 1 problem.... Hi. I’ve been going on this app every day learning piano but I didn’t really have time to learn more then 15 lessons a day. Or whatever it’s called. So this is the problem. I really like this app, but it has limited time. WHY?! You always have to get pro and it’s like 30 dollars a month and the one with 9 is still a lot. Like why? It’s like on really weird ads they keep asking you to buy their stuff. And this one really does. I really have been tired of seeing those ads that says “your lesson time for today is over” So I was wondering fix the monthly price a little? I know you guys need money but other people are tired of seeing those ads and having to buy 30 dollars just for a month like that’s- way too expensive so please fix that, And one more thing, you have to pay 30 dollars just for piano songs?! Please fix this thanks

It was good . . .. This app was so good! It always worked really well and I never had any problems. Until yesterday. I don’t know if it got updated, but the picture for the app is different and so is the loading screen. That’s not the problem, though. In fact I liked the new screen better. The problem is, when you go onto the home screen, and click on the song you want to play, something happens. You go to the page with the parts and stuff, and you click play. It starts, but then all of the sudden, the song stops, right before the first note. It’s not my internet, because I tried watching a video after it happened and it worked, no problem. Fix this please.

It’s okay. Honestly, I’ve been playing piano for a long time on this app but my only complaints are they don’t have a good selection of songs to play. For me, I am a classical pianist but whenever I look up Bach on here it always comes up with The Backstreet Boys and that’s pretty annoying. Second of all, when I started playing on here, it didn’t tell me that you could change the notes from colored to black. I am dyslexic and now I’ve learned one way, which is colored notes, I can’t unlearn it and now I can’t read regular black notes. Now I’m not blaming anyone for my dyslexia but for me you can’t unlearn what you’ve just learned. And the app suddenly pauses in the middle of your song. Sometimes in the middle of a note! Then you can’t play the song without getting that one wrong. That’s all I have to complain about, otherwise the app is fun and a good teacher.

Sad. The app stopped working after a few days. It doesn’t glitch or anything but the piano size on the screen got smaller so I can’t play anything. I think it told me something about mini keyboard electric keyboard or something like that but I wish I could change it to the normal size keyboard again. Update: ✅it went back to normal I had to delete it and download again. I hope I can play more songs but I do know I have to pay for certain access to lessons.

Highly recommend, but the songs…. Greetings developers! I’ve been on a yousician plan for years! It’s so much fun, and extremely effective!!! I highly recommend it to anyone! It’s made very clear time and love was poured into the Yousician Program!! However, although I’m not here to accuse you in any way whatsoever, I was curious…. Can you add some Disney songs? I love everything about the app, but did notice they didn’t have any classic Disney songs. Maybe you could add things like “Encanto” “Coco” “Aladdin” etc. Just figured it might brighten the experience! Again thanks so much for this app, I appreciate it! Please take this in to consideration and respond if you get a chance 😜 I would love to hear from you!!

Near perfect. This app has definitely moved me ahead. I realized I was memorizing fingers, not really reading the music, with a book. Jumping between pop and classical tracks in this app, and having a wider selection of music, is keeping me out of that rut. I wish the app had an “always use MIDI” mode where I could revoke mic permission and also not go through the “Hey, a MIDI input! Do you want to use MIDI?” dialog *every session.* Just be like, “Whoa, there’s no MIDI” if it fails to connect. The MIDI is so much more accurate for me. But overall, I like it a lot.

Inconsistent grading. Enjoy this app so much. EXCEPT for the fact that it does not read the notes correctly and consistently. I can play a chord in a song and without even moving my fingers and it will not sense it the first and fiurth time but not the second and third. (Yes, you can chalk this up to a number of things…me not actually playing the right notes like I claim, a bad sense of rhythm, bad phone - except this has been my experience on multiple devices. ) It’s really frustrating because I’ll play the same song for an hour and still not be able to hit gold stars, one that’s even below my stated level. I just have to hope it marks the notes green and figuratively cross my fingers. Bc it seems to have nothing to do with skill…

Great but for one flaw. Ok I’m editing this review because seriously the developers fumbled at the one yard line here. Ok for starters please level the learning curve a bit. You’ll be cruising along and then wham you hit what feels like impossible tasks. Also a major fix should be done to change the “hand change”. When you have to move your hand the key board on the screen doesn’t change until the note is a millisecond away. As soon as the last note at that hand position is played the finger assignment at the bottom needs to change. I love this app and I’ve made progress but these little flaws are just maddening.

Charged my account before end of free trial. My account was charged $119 for the yearly subscription before it even expired. I cancelled my 7-day trial in the morning only to realize my account had been charged overnight. I received no reminder or notification. When I emailed support their response was to contact Apple. This is the DDR of piano. It’s a game of arbitrary key-pressing with no fundamentals or theory to back it up. They throw chords into the lessons that they’ve never taught you. I played with my free trial for three days and I could not play anything I “learned” on my own if you asked me to. I am saying this as a person who can sight sing and has basic piano skills. Not how you learn to play an instrument.

Pretty much useless( have to pay for almost everything after the first two lessons). I wanted to try to get good at piano because I have a keyboard at home. I started taking the lessons and only got through the first two milestones before needing to pay for everything!!?? I though that I would be able to learn for free and that I didn’t need to pay, but that’s was absolutely not the case! If you are willing to pay for things in the app then it’s for you, but I know a lot of people out there were not expecting to have to pay🙄

Overall really great. Overall, I think this app is awesome and really good at teaching how to play piano and read sheet music. My only complaint or “warning” would be that at a certain point the songs are really difficult and will take several days of practice before you can pass them. I think this is a typical learning curve of piano, but it’s something that I could see being frustrated if someone is not prepared for it.

Skipping/stuttering. I liked this app and I thought it was worth the $ for the first 3 months but now it’s skipping really bad. Tried using my MacBook instead of my iPad Pro and it was worse. I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m getting to more complicated songs or if an update changed something. I’m only halfway through level 7 so the songs aren’t that difficult. I do use a midi adapter and never had a problem with it reading the right note. It also drains my iPad battery really fast and I have the midi plugged in so I can’t charge it at the same time. As far as content goes I don’t think it is great for learning to read music and they barely go over timing/counting. The rest of the music theory/knowledge section is lacking as well. Also, I’d like to be able to customize my scales.

Sufficient, but with issues. You can learn to play this way, though there are serious issues with combating the sound output of the app. I basically had to turn the sound way down in order for it to recognize my playing, or I was forced to play very loudly, which my neighbors didn’t like. The app will give you pop-up notifications while your in the app playing a song, which makes literally no sense at all. Advertising a new song while i’m attempting to play another only hinders the experience. During a 30 minute play session, the continuity is poor. I spent the better part of a lesson learning chords only to have the app circle back to a more basic, and irrelevant, song I played previously, which wasn’t even a part of the learning course. This has occurred several times. I’d be able to overlook all of this if it weren’t for the $30 price tag. I’ve used their guitar app in the past and didn’t experience near the number of issues. Hopefully they fix this one, but I’d hold off on investing in the paid version for now.

I love this app. I followed up with the team if they have a way to purchase in full $500 or + with free updates like the programs i own. They were nice about it when asked but unfortunately its not possible. It is what it is, happy that something like this even exist. I will be paying monthly in the future to try it out. It truly feels as if it’s synced to my piano with a cable.

Needs a way to skip levels for advanced players. I want to start by saying that I used yousician to learn the Ukulele and really appreciated it! I was new to the Ukulele and am a much more confident player now. However, I have been playing piano for several years and just wanted an app that would help me expand my skills. This is not the one. Does the free version no longer exist? I couldn’t do anything but play the first song. Also, I couldn’t find a way to skip levels, so I was stuck playing Twinkle Twinkle on one hand, when I can play level 3-4 performance pieces. I’ll keep yousician for ukulele but won’t be using it for piano.

It’s pretty good. This app is absolutely wonderful! I’ve really wanted to learn how to play piano so badly, and I think I finally found my answers! I’m so thankful for this app. I had a piano teacher, but back then I didn’t have as much logic sense as I do now, so I didn’t quite work out. When school was canceled back in March because of the current pandemic, I was inspired even more to do something with the piano in my house. And quite frankly, I was extremely bored. I would always play a few songs such as Gymnopedie.1 and Raindrop prelude and things like that but I never really knew how to play the piano. I’ve had the desire to learn this beautiful instrument since a young age, but never learned it. Now I’m 13 and I think I can finally fulfill one of my dreams. I highly recommend this app to anyone who has a desire to start learning a new instrument. You can even start with no experience and learn so on. The only thing that I don’t really like is the amount of time you have to play for free. It’s only ten minutes when you can learn so much more with five extra minutes or maybe even ten. Also, it would be great if it could teach how to read sheet music for beginners. Other than that, this app really is great.

Review. I think youcision is a amazing app I am only ten but it has changed the way I play forever. Every time we have a family gathering I play all of my relatives favorite songs and they say this is the best app they have heard of and then they have started playing on the app and now they know like 2 of the most faviorite songs all thanks to your amazing app. So thanks again youcision again for making this wonderful app.

Great app but..... I hate how you can only have a specific amount of time to play every day! Been using this app for a week. I have learned more piano and more how to play the piano than I did trying to do it on my own. I hate how many ads there are and that all of the add the majority of them are to get the premium piano. I understand that’s how the company makes money, but the ads are annoying. Anyways thank you for the app it’s really easy to use and it’s helped me learn more about the piano!!

Amazing learning app. I am so glad that I don’t have to pay for it and I am very excited to learn on my keyboard and it gives you the option to play on the app instead if you don’t have your own and I will say but it didn’t show me how to play some of the keys which made it very hard and stressful and I really like this game so I really recommend it and it’s perfect for people who want to play piano because I mean I do because I have a keyboard and I didn’t know if I could ever play so I am very glad for this game it’s an amazing learning app and it gives you the option to learn more I guess but when I do try to play in the scientist I couldn’t because the days were really hard for me but it it wouldn’t teach me the ways and it wouldn’t stop and put it say play this note but other than that it’s perfect. I would also recommend not getting simply piano if you want to have a free app because wir only teaches you one lesson until you HAVE to play for the other lessons :)

Not cool. I would love this app but I am now about to delete it because of the whole deal with the subscription. You only give two very basic lessons for free and then there is literally nothing to do after that doesn’t require a ten dollar a month subscription, I’m sorry but I just think it’s a little unfair and uncool to not have anything that you can do without the subscription.

All about commitment. Yousician’s approach of making you part of the band, allows you to develop muscle memory and technique without realizing it (ie. by having fun). Though the training is different from the teacher/student setting, the tools provided allow you to break through slumps if you are disciplined. I recommend you switch to standard notation as early as you can handle it. That’s when you will truly unlock the skills you’ll need to transfer what you have learned into real world application.

I love it !. I just started playing piano about a couple months ago and I was getting bored of the same songs on my beginners book so I tried this and I love it. I downloaded every Piano app there is and they Esther don’t work or you have to pay. But this I’m not paying and I get about 30min a day why are people saying they only get 10?Anyways I’m 12 and it’s easy to learn because you can practice and it tells you which notes you did wrong.I love it the songs are actually good!

Great way to have consistent daily practice. It has become a joyous daily routine of mine to engage in this app. Once your brain starts processing the language of piano and music, everyday grows more enjoyable. Even the times where it is quite literally painful to try to grasp understanding of certain melodic intervals or chord progressions, the more you learn the more meaningful the pain was. It really begins to pay off 6-8 months into this, plus the developers who create the in-app songs to learn from are very talented themselves. Thanks yousician.

Yousican. It is amazing you can learn so much it is great for beginners especially if you don’t have any experience with Piano it’s amazing to use even for traveling so you can even use the touchpad and you can do so much with it I have experience with it but I haven’t played piano in a long time but it still is great for beginners and if you become a beginner and if you are a beginner you can become a pro it is amazing like really good

New version won’t let you actually practice the piano. The new version is frustrating. Mandatory piano puzzles in the middle of practice time takes away from actually playing the piano. I am not against the puzzles themselves, however, when I’m practicing the piano I would like to actually be playing the keyboard, especially when my daily practice time is limited. Update: even though the games aren’t all bad, I still think that the piano games should be a separate option from “practice” time. I sit down to practice piano and shouldn’t have to spend it playing an iPhone game instead of playing the piano.

Song Library problems. ‪I was considering a subscription so the kids could start learning guitar/ukulele BUT Yousician’s music library is sorely lacking and even biased. It’s all been “Columbused”! They have NO African American artists in the Funk category. NONE, as in zero, zilch, in FUNK?!? They include only 2 African American Artists in the Blues category. They have NO Latin music category and I could not find a single Latin song in any category, not even Latin Jazz, and there was NO Soul/R&B category either which is probably good since their music librarian apparently has an aversion to people of color. And it follows that there are no Hip-Hop or Rap categories. One has to go pretty far out of one’s way to create a library of American music that is this non-inclusive. Please take the blinders off your ears, or hire a new music curator. How can you entirely exclude important, gigantic artists and genres of American music?? I’m sticking with Playground Sessions, which has been great for me for piano (I’ve progressed more in 6 months than I did over 3+ years of in person lessons.)

Best piano app ever. I love this app so much I tried simply piano and it wasn’t my style but then I have this app extra for find needed it I tried it and it was a blast I had so much fun and learned so quickly from it if you are deciding to get it you should definitely get it it’s amazing with any kind of Piano thing you have now I’m only a nine-year-old so that’s my decision but if you don’t think that this is a good app you don’t have to try it out but to me it’s amazing and it’s so much fun

100 percent recommended!. This is the best app ever! The only problem is the subscription, I don’t wanna spend money LOL, anyway here is my story. When I first saw the ad, I was like, why not give it a try? So I tried and it didn’t go so well, but in the middle of the app, I was getting better and better. Today I was doing awesome in piano. I tried guitar and didn’t work out. So I decided to use piano instead of guitar. It’s hard to tune the guitar, which I don’t like doing. So after a lot of practice thanks to Yousician, It had me be a pianist. That’s is the conclusion of the story. Now please do me a favor and download this app if you are beginning the piano.

Great app. I am an adult re-learner of the piano. I have moved from basics to level 6 in about a year. There are some songs that I hate (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - way too slow) songs that have grown on me (Call for the Spring but I'm still not fond of the vocal) The Duck Walk is challenging and fun. I made myself an Excel chart to track my "workout" progress. My goal is to develop reading fluency so this is helpful for charting my progress.

Best piano app ever!!!. I absolutely love this app♥️! I played a little bit of piano at school but never knew how to play with both hands. I constantly was searching for piano app and a lot of them would not let you advance unless you payed😣. This app lets you play 10min each day without having to pay and with just playing a few minutes each day I’ve seen results! I recommend this app to everyone who wants to learn how to play piano or just wants to keep advancing in there skills. I’m considering paying to practice for as long as I want and it will be worth every cent!

It’s a really good program. I really like this because well it’s really easy and I got used to the colors for the thing like the notes and all that and I’ve already gotten quite a bit into it and it’s really easy I’m really glad there’s no ads on it I also am really happy that like they have like really friendly songs and also another reason why I’ll give this a five star is because well it’s easier because you can understand it a lot easier and it has good ratings my dad has been wanting me to get this app for a while so I am I’m going to use this happened for a good day it’s gonna be really good to use like or like at a family reunion but thank you guys so much for making this app.❤️❤️Developers please give me a little bit of a review and tell me a little bit of tips I didn’t know about this too

One problem. I used to use this app when I was younger so I could practice piano. It was pretty good. Of course, I was younger, so I soon got bored. I am now 10 and I want to start playing piano. My iPad can not do the latest version, therefore I can no longer take the lessons. I think you should make it so that I can still use the app, even if it's not the latest version. I hope you can change this because I would love to keep learning with Yousician, thank you for any feedback, and thank you for the wonderful app. 🎼🎹👍 -LG

The ball is the bane of my existence.. I was going to subscribe. I wanted to subscribe, but that ball! That stupid little moving ball!!! I cannot stress this enough. I HATE that stupid moving ball. HATE IT! I have played piano for years. I play by ear and can really play anything, Beethoven, Chopin, literally any melody, you name it, but I can’t read notes so I got this app in hopes to learn. Two hours told me it was never going to work. Considering that I play by ear, I am obviously a sound learner and not a sight learner, so it is altogether too much for me to concentrate on moving sheet music, colors, notes, the piano your playing, the piano on the screen, and that stupid, confusing, little, moving ball. It doesn’t even do what it’s supposed to do because I can’t even tell when it’s time to play the note from it. Every time I’ve got the rhythm down (by ear, not by the ball), that ball throws me all the way off! If there were any option to get rid of that ball, or any of the other elements, I would have subscribed in a heartbeat, but I will not subject myself to the torture of concentrating on that many moving things. Please create an option to edit what you see on the screen. Please!

App is bad at picking up sounds sometimes. I am enjoying this app but something that really frustrates me is that it has a hard time parsing notes at times. I’ll play a chord and for some reason it won’t register all of the notes. I got softlocked for a time behind one of the parts before you play a song where it asks you to play all the notes that are going to be in it because it wouldn’t hear all of the notes I was playing. This has the consequence of affecting my scores in various songs, especially on the first note of the song where it seems like a crapshoot as to whether or not it picks up the input. Otherwise, I am enjoying this app, but the technical limitations are a big flaw.

Love Musician. You should totally get this game, you can play so many songs and you can pick your song my daughter loves playing it she cannot get off the piano and you learn different songs and how to play you learn how to play the piano with your black and white do you know how to play so many notes like CDEFNG so if you want to learn how to play piano and it has a free then I would recommend this app because if you were in will live you learn it but you also have to pay for this week and you get to learn that’s a double win for me.

Fantastic app for guitar and piano. I’ve been using Yousician since late April thanks to a lot of additional at home time. In the last 6-7 months I’ve seen HUGE progression in my ability to play guitar. The gamification of the learning process has kept me engaged and coming back more and more to try to improve. There’s a nice comfortable learning pace and if it’s too easy for you it gives you the option to test into more challenging lessons. I really really like this app and recommend it to anyone who expresses interest to learn an instrument. There are is one BIG thing that I wish the app offered to make learning even easier: the ability to see the entirety of the song whether it’s tabs or sheet music, it would make memorizing and practicing parts of a song a lot simpler. As it is currently, I pause and transcribe the tablature into a note book to see the whole thing.

It’s ok I guess. I remember installing this app on my iPad to use since Simply Piano cost money. I got the app to use because I have an electric piano. I am a pianist and I tried out this app to do a review on how good it is. There are a bit of issues for me. 1. Sometimes when I hit the key, it won’t count it and I’ll have to start over. 2. There is this weird little moving ball that has been irritating me! It gets distracting while I try to use the note C or any other note! I don’t know the purpose of it either. To me, it’s just there. It also will throw me off not knowing when to start or stop. Lastly, 3. The time limit!!! It bothers me when you only get TEN MINUTES per day to practice. When i was 8 I would practice 1 hour a day.. and also, u HAVE to pay money for more time. I’m a bit dissatisfied but I do recommend it for beginners. Overall, this isn’t the worst app ever but it could have some better fixes.

So far this is great!. I’ve been playing the idea of learning a new instrument for a while and I have tried to learn guitar and piano at different points of my life. Traditional private lessons are so expensive, understandable so, but the yearly cost for this app is more than worth it! I don’t understand why people have such an issue with the bouncing ball, it’s clearly there to teach and demonstrate tempo but I guess people find it distracting. I did not. The guitar version of this app felt a lot like rock band or guitar hero, and I thought what an amazing way to teach an instrument. The piano version is similar but the color coded keys and step by step instructions are awesome. I 100% recommend this to anyone who is trying to pick up an instrument and learn. I do wish they offered more instruments but I have my hands full with the 2 I’m trying to learn now.

Extremely Limited!. I have been taking piano lessons since I was six, and now I am seventeen, and I have advanced greatly. I can now play songs without even needing help. As a seventeen year old, I wanted to find an app to improve my skills without having to pay money. When I press on the experienced button in the beginning of the app, it still takes me to easy things I already know how to do! Please make the experienced button take you to challenging lessons that can teach you different things than the NOTES of the PIANO! My second complaint is that it only lets you learn for TEN MINUTES a DAY?! Like, are you that thirsty for money? If you make it an hour I would be happy, because I usually practice piano for an hour and a half daily. But, TEN minutes?! That’s not nearly enough for a person to learn ANYTHING without buying your premium! I deleted the app recently because it just didn’t help me at ALL! If you’re a professional piano player and don’t want to spend money on a music app, don’t even download this, it won’t help you AT ALL.

There is a paywall. The app lets you play the first two levels but then forces you to pay, I was hoping for an app similar to Duolingo where you can watch adds or simply have a time limit for daily use. But nope; and sense they don’t list their prices on the App Store you have no idea what you’re getting into a yearly subscription is $120 and giving the fact most streaming services are significantly cheaper then that, it’s such a waste. I couldn’t recommend this app less, it seems fun at the start but once you hit the pay wall it’s useless unless you’re interested in spending a absolutely insane price for the app.

Good but annoying bug. This app is really good for learning piano but there’s one thing that’s super annoying. When you are learning new chords/notes it asks you to play them, and the app often doesn’t pick up on it. It’s annoying because you cannot skip past it or reach any other lessons if you haven’t completed it, even if you are playing it correctly- so you cannot move foreword because the programming doesn’t pick up on it

Learning a different instrument. In high school, I played the trumpet. This is really helping learn the piano without having to start with instructions that treat me like I didn’t already know how to read sheet music. Music theory information is good if you want to create original piece, but I just want to know how to play. I’ve also played video games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, both of which presents its music similar to this app. Thank you for making this.

Older but learning. I’m over 50 but wanted to learn to play the piano. I tried different apps but they were either to costly or didn’t fit my beginners learning style from learning the 🎹 themselves or both. In my opinion, this app is very simple to use including my ability to go to next level or keep on practicing at the same level is perfect. Thanks! 🤓🎧 🎹 🎼🎶

Awesome but here are some ideas. This is so amazing I went from only knowing the c major scale to being able to play songs without looking at where my hands were going this is an amazing app over all although i would like you to make it so that you can record yourself well in the app I would also like you to make it so the you can play in the app well on like a call or something on the same device 🤗🤗 but this is a rlly great app overall ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎💖

Good for beginners but needs skip option. for the most part it's a really good app. I really like the fact that they included a mixer so you can turn off musicians built in piano sound when using a midi keyboard and use garage band or something else in the background. The only thing that would be nice to have is the ability to optionally skip components inside a single lesson because a lot of times I want to be able to play some song but not have to be forced to train all the small melodic motifs beforehand since they're usually quite tedious.

Teaches too fast and hand placement is wrong. Don’t get me wrong, this app is great, but the reason it’s three stars is because it teaches too fast and the hand placement is incorrect. I feel that the app expects me to know chords, but I have no idea what that is, and though I missed every chord in the practice, it still made me do a song with mostly chords. Then in the practice, I went to the bottom of my screen and pressed the hands for the placement, since the app said I was doing all of the wrong notes although I was, and the hand placement was uncomfortable, and wrong. You’re supposed to place your fingers two keys away from each other, putting your left pinky on the “C” key, and then lay the rest of your fingers on the remaining white keys. Then, you put your right thumb on the “C” key that’s two keys away from your left thumb, and place your remaining finger on the next four white keys.

I wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve been doing piano since I was about 3 and I got into 1st grade and I had a piano teacher and she was really nice and so now I’m 8 and I found this app and I wanted to try it out cause I want to learn how to play songs on the piano but... it was doing ok till I actually started playing and i tried to do the songs and it just kept on telling me to PAY!? you know what I’m PAYING for that! You know what I’ll learn the piano ON MY OWN! I just have to practice and Practice I just need to be my self don’t spend MY MONEY for THAT! You know what next year I’ll take PIANO LESSENS there that’s that. Thank for reading everyone’s message they wrote.

Great app but a few minor flaws. I’ve been using the app for a while now and it works great and I love it. It’s a fun way to learn. However there are a bunch of times when I will press the correct note(s) and it will not register. I notice it most when playing octaves. And I know it’s the app and not me because it will happen on the same spot every time. Even if I focus on making sure I time it perfectly. If that issue could be solved the app would be 5 stars for sure

Wish we could see the whole music sheet. Always having to scroll back to the parts of the song I can’t quite get is so annoying and really frustrates me. I wish we could see the whole music sheet and figure out the notes we need to play without any pressure, im real eating this again but I just really want it so we can just play the parts we need to practice without constantly having to scroll back it’s so annoying

Piano. I like it but the subscription is way too high

Too pushy for updates. This app would not work unless we updated and when we updated, we had to sign in all over again. Too much messing around just to use the app.

Love. This is great I have been looking through the whole App Store and this is the one but I wish It was free please make it free

Piano. I think piano is an amazing instrumental app for all young music learners!😁

I use to not practice a lot but now I’m doing it every day. I think it,s just fantastic. AMAZING APP

Yousician. I think that this is a great app but you should not pay to learn piano. I looked at the reviews and it said that lots of people don’t want to pay

Best Piano learning app ever!. Omg! I love this app you don’t need a subscription to play song unlike simply piano. I Love the app and I will continue to use this app!

Yousician takes you beyond you. This affordable app has taken me out of the notion that I had held for many years that I had, that is was tone deaf and had no rhythm. I heard from very early on that I was tuneless and stopped practicing music altogether. This app has shifted my self concept and self confidence.

Extremely frustrating. Hello I love this app! Kinda good at this…… the frustrating thing is when sometimes I hit the notes perfectly with the ball perfect it says I missed! Pls fix this bug 😭also I hate that you have to pay….why? even simply piano has the same thing! Pls fix my problems and make me happy…..(edit) I took out 1 star because the second sentence went too far! It made me as mad as ever Please please please I beg you, fix this bug! By, Prisha. Whose happiness is melting 🫠

Excellent way to build on the basics. I’m an adult but new to piano. I was takings lessons but with the Corona Virus shut down I’m now learning through you sic Ian and its by far the most intuitive piano app I’ve tried. Loving it.

fantastic app!!. This piano app was so awesome and any free trial that you can pay 1 month, 3 months 12 months.

Good but, a little stupid.. When I play the correct note, it either marks me wrong or I missed it. The same thing happens when I crank my keyboard volume to max. Plus it will show me the “Premium” ad multiple times. So I advise you NOT TO DOWNLOAD THIS APP. It WILL annoy you with it’s ads, glitches and mishearings. But it’s still quite good though.

Great. This app makes you get to choose from free to premium and free is not bad. But if everything is free, that would be good.....which app would do that though?

Great but 1 problem. Hi creators! I simply love Yousician it is great! But I would rate this app 10 stars if it existed but only 4 stars today because of one problem. And that is: I don’t want to do a free trial can you please please make it free it would be appreciated much. And would make my life. Please do this if you have a chance I would play on this app for hours after hours if you did this. Anyways overall I think this is a great game but would be better if free. So please do my suggestion as you know it would absolutely make my day. Thanks, Dai ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great music. What helped me to be motivated is the great music – fantastic songs, many of which I have never come across but really enjoy learning to play.

Now worse. Want made you change to that useless update? I can no longer follow my progress. You got my money so I guess that’s all that matters. I can not use it anymore, don’t know where I am with the lessons. You get no stars from me,I hate it.

Perfecto. I love this app 10/10 can u gimme administration access to this app?

Great but…. You need to make it pay 10$ instead of 14$

This is amazing but with a little problem. The problem is to make really good progress quick you need premium and you need premium to do lessons for longer so could you add a few more songs for free and more time in lessons for free if you don’t I’ll still be fine I’d just prefer but other than that this app is AMAZING 🤩

MUST DOWNLOAD. This app is so cheap and worth it. $179 a year is good with $17 a month is so cheap. In a normal lesson it is about $35 for only about a 30 minute session but in a Yousician you can progress quickly and practise whenever you want. Also with any payment, yearly, monthly or half monthly you can unlock 5, yes 5 instruments, piano ,guitar, ukelele , singing and bass on Yousician. Although I’d prefer piano on the same app, it is good too. The only thing I’d like to change is that there’d be more levels and stages and songs like Simply Piano so you can learn more but it’s make sense since you have 5 instruments so your focus is spread out. DOWNLOAD NOW

Reporting a bug. Today I played a song called old man band and I got seventy out of seventy but it didn’t accept me. Please fix this bug

Problem with this app. It told me that the app would need a update for it

Useless if played with phone instead of piano. If you don’t play with an actual piano and just play with your phone instead, the app is useless sice the pause button is right below the virtual keyboard and during the you will probably hit the pause button several times by mistake. I don’t know why they have placed the pause button there!!!

Pay. I luv it but the only thing is that u have to pay!

Scam. Whenever I play piano i hit the right note I know because I go piano lessons and play fur Elise and getting ready for my exam this app is a scam they are trying to make you feel like your doing something wrong because if you get it right you will know how to play an don’t use the app and then app will be canceled so any way they are actually doing for MONEY!!!!!!!!!! I am sorry to say this but your actually wasting your time take some real piano lessons the one that I go to is 50 dollars per hour and he collects the money at the end of the month so that would mean 200 dollars to do it trust me it’s better than this it may be more expensive but it better that taking a scam well I’m sorry who made this app but I gotta be honest please don’t report this I’m an 9 year old

Great app. Paid premium for this and I think it's worth it, Been using it for the last 2 weeks and haven't looked back. Since the COVID19 I wanted to get piano lessons for a while now but due to the restrictions we can't have people over our house nor can we go out to have provide lessons. So I thought I just download this app and learn from scratch. Great for beginners and can learn a lot from this app, I try to do at least 30 mins play time which helps a lot. Would recommend.

Good but I don’t want to pay Premium. It’s great but the free version doesn’t have as much items and the premium contains 50 percent of the app even if you gave us all the songs we would only be able to do one lesson per day so only like 10 songs per day so please please please make the free version have a couple more affects and items and I like how it gives instant feedback but after all that I would like a little reward if you got 3 stars or something and if we do give us like a little sticker and we can put in a collection and when ever w3 get like 15 stickers that are part of the same collection we unlock a new song or yeah as I find that very addicting but from now bye. From Wayne

Love it!. I am retired and never played a musical instrument before. I decided to have a go at an electronic keyboard. I checked out a few apps and then came across this one that I love because it gives me the opportunity to practice with music i enjoy playing while getting and really good feedback at both the note level and developing skills in general. I can see that I am progressing and having fun at the same time. I will happily sign up for the premium plus membership for a year and am sure I will get great value! Thanks for making learning so much fun.

This isn’t very good sorry. This is really hard I tried for hours it just won’t work it made me feel useless and in the inside it hurts, is it possible to fix up some mistakes then keep on going to the end?

Piano. The reason I downloaded this app is so I can learn piano and it’s so easy to now play piano🙂.

Good but wanted to play songs. I’ve enjoyed the app a lot because it teaches you the basics and all but I got it so I could learn my favourite songs. But you have to purchase the premium to do so. That was pretty disappointing but other than that it is fun

The price is high, but it’s worth it for premium.. Look, the price is tough to accept—it’s still hard, for whatever reason, to pay real money for software. But it’s worth it. It’s an exceptionally designed app: incredibly intuitive, clear, differentiated, and scaffolded. I don’t know if it’s similarly effective for advanced players, but three weeks ago I started the app with a pretty rudimentary understanding of piano. Now, I can play most pop songs pretty serviceably. That’s pretty nuts over a few weeks.

This is great. This is the best app ever except I don’t understand why you have to pay but I use it all the time it’s the best app ever

Absolutely beautiful. This is a incredibly a great app, although the subscription is a bit expensive. Nevertheless, it’s absolutely worth it. I’ve been playing piano for 4 years, I haven’t been practising reading notes while playing simultaneously but this app really impacted me a lot!!! Thanks so much

Good but I don’t want to pay for premium. I do recommend this app for kids and teens who want to learn the skills of piano but it cuts you off dayly and you have to pay to do more

The only thing..... Hi yousician, Amelia here, I love this piano app! I really do! But I really don’t want the free trial, could you please make a few songs free, By the way, i love the song dreamer and how i can play it, so could you please make yousician good for me and others Sincerely, Amelia

Great app! 🎹. I was practicing with this app and simply piano, just to say no competition between the two. This app is more professional and easier to learn than simply piano. BEST Piano app you could find, yes it costs a little bit of money but is soooo worth it! Best bang for your buck! Get this app it’s amazing and super easy to learn!

Money. It’s good but there’s to much to pay for! It would be so much better if you put more stuff for free. So that more people can actually learn better. And not have to waist to much money as well, just for an app on a mobile device! 😡

THANK U SO MUCH. I learn so much from u but I don’t like the premier it’s I little too much. Please put the Price down or take it out. I think a lot of people want that to happen. Anyways but from that your app so so good! My dad got my a panio this year. I didn’t know how to play so my dad got me a book with all the panio thing. The bad thing about was that I didn’t learn anything much. So I got my iPad and I downloaded a few apps but they all had premium. In this app the premier is good but without premier for you you can do a lot of things.

Excellent but shouldn’t be your only tutor. I’m an experienced player but never practised properly until taking up again as an adult 4 years ago and then have been a bit directionless as I have no teacher. This app has given me structure to time spent at the piano, which is what I need. I play every day for about an hour and this app gives me things to do / work on and I can see my progress. It has some outstanding features that really focus on note and rhythm accuracy. The rhythm discipline is excellent for me as I have never ever before counted rhythm wile playing! The biggest flaw is that I have seen absolutely no consideration given to dynamics or tone - there aren’t even basic dynamics markings on the pieces. I get that the app may not be able to ‘score’ tone, but there is no reason not to discuss these things in the video tutorials and to have dynamics markings on the scores. So you really do need to be getting this guidance and tuition from elsewhere (which is fine, no app is going to be a complete piano tutor or anywhere near). Also, it seems that fingering (using normal 1-5 notation) is not marked (am I missing something?) except by using colour representations for each finger! Having played the piano off and on for 40 years, I now have to think of my fingers being a colour not a number! Again, easy fix I would think. And then there is the huge potential that remains to be exploited by the developers around more automatic tuition on practising parts of pieces. The ability to see where you are going wrong and then to isolate and practice those sections at different speeds is absolutely brilliant. But, it would be even better if it used your performance to then automatically zero in on those parts with errors and work you through them gradually, using improvements to speed up or focus on one hand etc. All the features seem to be available for this to be part of a future version. Needs some more content - I’ve hit the limit on one learning path, but there’s still loads more for me to be doing so not a huge issue as long as this really is underway. Could also benefit from building in more scales and arpeggios practice into the guided lessons. Oh and finally, please stop making me play Twinkle twinkle little star!!

Awesome!. Very easy to use, can go at your own pace and very satisfying when you nail a song! I had a few issues using it on my device and the support team your very quick to get back to me and helped me fix the problem.

Beware free trial. Free trial is actually only 6 days not seven. (Because you have to cancel 24hrs before 7 days are up). Zero instructions to beginners on what the basic notes actually represent (beats) so kids will need some adult guidance and monitoring. Also, why no option to show letter of note ? Learning the notes by colour serves no long term benefit.

About rating. The app is looks like its good and i did everything to do it but when I pressed the microphone button it went off and it didn’t even work so i was wondering if it just happened to me or it does that automatically because its not worth my time.

BEST APP EVER!!!!!!!!. I’ve only been playing for 2 months and already can play chords and know so many notes By Honor Age 10

Works for me. I’m in my late 40’s with absolutely no musical training. I tried several piano learning apps before settling on this one. I did like the more simpler teaching style of another app but the price was prohibitive. Got a good deal on this one and absolutely love it. Never had any audio issue. It’s spot on detecting my notes. Progress is quick and fun. Absolutely no regrets. As far as I can see the only complaint people have is the price. But if you were getting real lessons you would sink that money in no time. My wife and I use this every day. Thank you.

Amazing. Totally amazing I play a lot more than before I had the app.

Doesn’t work at all. I already know how to play piano, but i decided to give it a try. When it asks me to play C, I play C, but it tells me that I’m playing a C sharp, so I play a C sharp, then it works. This happens for a lot of notes. It shouldn’t have to be this way though and could be very misleading for people who don’t know how to play piano.

Can’t cancel. Yousician was a great app when I was a beginner, but it started to become boring when I got premium+. It told me I could play my favourite songs, and none of my favourite songs are there. So I tried to cancel because I tried a new app and I loved it, but it said that I have to cancel through my iTunes account. I don’t have an iTunes account. So the app ripped me off into paying for a year when I’m not going to use it anymore. Thanks.

Level 2 not working. Level 2 does not work- after watching the video for level 2, the program won’t allow me to start level 2. When pressing the continue button it shows a loading image with no result, therefore I am unable to play..

Why…. Why is it so if you don’t want to play practice you have a counter of your notes played correctly and if it goes down it stops your song? I don’t understand why you would put that in

Glitches. When I press the c key I have to press the b key

So so. I’m progressing well but on “do the duck walk” there is that c chord on part 4 that won’t register.

I WANT TO GO AT MY REAL LEVLE IRL. So this app is great like i even use the guitar version with is very great you dont need levels for that one BUT on the piano version its making me start like a beginning even if im level intermediate in real life witch is kinda annoying cause i have to do the ANNOYING BASICS JUST TO LEARN THE SONG OF MY CHOICE but other then that this app is great. I just put three stars cause of the problem btw. Ceap up the good work

Yousician Piano is not in 9 languages as mention in App Store but only English. Very disappointed as I just bought the family premium to use mostly Yousician Piano but to find out that the language is only in English when App Store say it is available in 9 languages including French.

This sucks. So I simply got the app since the reviews said it was good but it isn’t. All I wanted to do was skip to level 3 since I’m that level on piano but it wouldn’t let me and it said I had to pay. Also when I play the correct note it says I didn’t. I already know how to play C,D,E,F,G but when I played the note it said I didn’t play it correctly.

Its Impossible 😤😡😡. Its way to hard for me and I hate it! 😭😭😭

Good app. It’s fun but doesn’t have like, let it go or any Disney songs

Okay What?. This app is okay. Helps you learn piano and quite a bit of things are free. But...here are some ✨flaws✨ I’ve noticed: 1. THAT LADY’S VOICE IS THE MOST PATHETIC THING I HAVE HEARD IN MY 11 YEARS OF LIVING. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE NEW TEXT TO SPEECH TIKTOK VOICE. 2. You shouldn’t be able to skip to level 9 when you just started. On my 2nd day of logging on, I tried skipping to level 3 and it ✨worked✨ biss? I AM on level 3 in real life with my piano classes, but NEW👏🏾PEEPS👏🏾SHOULDN’T👏🏾BE👏🏾ABLE👏🏾TO👏🏾SKIP👏🏾AHEAD👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾I was even able to skip to level 9 🥱makes me wanna sleep. 3. Now what?? I’m sorry if I’m mixing up Skoove and Yousician but WHY IN GOD’S NAME WOULD YA START WITH THE SONG “Lean on me” FOR A LEVEL ONE/NEWBIE?? The dev’s seriously have mental problems like no offence but you can’t start with that. If you’re gunna take advice from an 11 year old do it because I’ve seen at least 10 1-star reviews, and I really do wish I could give you higher than 2 stars. 4. This is the second time I’m saying this bc it’s too annoying. I came here to learn piano. Not to listen to ✨Moana’s Grandma✨ for an hour or however long I put up with this-this stuff. Fix it. It’s already bad enough, anyway. I took my time to write this and if this isn’t fixed by 2022 (ayo I ain’t makin threats I’m 11) I will gladly find your office and tell you myself😃 See you in 2022 bc IK you don’t read the reviews! Peace!

Awesome. Used it to improve Fur Elise 13, had fun with it

Great and all…. It helps and teaches you very well but when you get at a certain point YOU HAVE TO PAY MONEY TO CONTINUE YOUR LEARNING!Like after I finished the lesson on how to use your left hand YOU HAVE TO PAY MONEY TO CONTINUE! so yeah do not get this app you’ll be happy with it for a few weeks but you’re gonna have to pay money…

Coolest game ever. Super Cool I Could play this game all day

Qwert. Qwert👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Scammer. Please be aware of this app completely fraud and scammer I signed and paid but I couldn’t able to use it I don’t recommend this app please take care from this application!

Why. Found it but when I got to level two it started telling me to pay money I didn’t sign up for the free trial i taught it was going to be fun😭😭😭😭😡😩

Yousician. Yousician gives a convenient way of learning piano. It lets you go step by step when learning. You can earn fun badges . I recommend Yousician app.Play it got free today!

Um. I was playing and it didn’t listen to me i had to do it like thousand times! Idk why

THIS SUCKS. I HATE THIS GARBAGE APP IT CAN’T EVEN RECOGNIZE A RIGHT NOTE

Five star!. Best app I ever used for piano. I tried using simply piano and it was really good at first but then it started asking me for money and it wouldn’t let me do anything else unless I payed. But this app...WAS AMAZING!!! I would definitely recommend this app to anyone wanting to learn piano!

Wrong notes. This app is pretty good BUT when I play the right note, it shows it as wrong. I calibrated it about 5 times but still won’t read the correct notes :/ 👎

It’s Great but Random Discouraging Jump. I’ve been progressing well and feeling great about it. Well made app. But in “Three-Chord Songs” there’s a random jump of skills of notes that haven’t even been taught, and the song (The Way She Plays) is fast-paced. I looked around to see if I missed a few lessons but it appears there’s simply a gap in the learning. No pun intended. Hopefully that’s the only one. What felt like fast progress now feels so slow.

Amazingly accurate!. After fighting during 1.5 with the frustrating key detection issues of Simply Piano, I decided to give this app a try. What a breath of fresh air! Not only I don't have any more issues with key detection, but the app is able to accurately tell me when I press too early, too late or just at the right time! How are they able to do that?! I know it sounds a bit silly to be so excited about such a simple thing as proper key detection, but when you have been frustrated for more than a year because of app issues that the developers repeatedly refuse to fix, finding Yousician feels like a gift from the heavens!

Best learning app. Much better than the other ones with more review

5 Star!!!!. It is sooooooo awesome!!! I keep learning everyday! I used to not like playing piano but this app makes me play more piano!!!

Listens too well. When I am using this app to learn piano it is not listening to me playing my piano it listening to the birds and the other noises in my house, I also hit all the correct key and it says I failed so if you are a beginner like me I don’t suggest you get this app.

Notes de piano. On ne peut pas changer les notes. Exemple, mes notes sont do, ré, mi, etc. Je ne peux changer et je suis obliger de jouer avec A, B, C, etc.

Interface needs a redesign. Great teaching method but the interface is driving me crazy and filling me with anxiety...the piano keys are too small both ways...too thin and too short that I end up hitting the wrong one even I hit the right one...also wackiest part is the fact that when my finger falls slightly outside the keyboard and pauses the whole thing!!!

Really fun. Yesssir

Youcisian. Youcisian makes learning piano fun And easy I recommend it to you if you want to learn to play your favourite songs!

Horrible App Why Do people Enjoy This?. This app doesn’t work properly. For a few months it was okay until the white ball to keep beat was suddenly moving backwards, speeding up and stopping entirely. It sometimes kicks me out of the app and overall does not work.

More lessons. Nice app free in till stage 2 so I say not bad

Timing Bar. Can the timing bar be moved above the keyboard?

Good app. It’s a really good app.you don’t have to pay for it and it’s really easy and fun. Definitely recommend if you want to learn piano

Hi. Hi

Good app. This helped out a lot

Good. Good app

Yousician piano. Hi, yousician. Just Wondering where the other courses are. You should add more pop songs. You have more like folk songs and unpopular songs. And the songs are difficult when you go up to the higher levels. Now I’m on level 7 on the last course. Maybe you should not expect us to get all the notes correct just to get 3 gold stars.

Piano. I love this app it made me learn a lot of piano I practice every day thank you for making ads made me download it

I didn’t want to have to pay.. Seriously, why do you make people pay so much, I’ll just go get piano lessons instead, thank you for nothing.

Well. I used to take piano lessons and i haven’t played in a while so I wanted to get back in the swing of things but it’s starts out wayyy too hard and I can’t play that much yet. After the first two songs it makes you play it freezes and I can’t do anything either

Give 1 star to me. I love it

I love it. It’s so fun that after school I play for 2 hours as soon as I get home

Great app for beginners. I see my kids love to use this app to play piano. Very interactive medium and like the practice mode

What happened. I wanted to play something but it said “well done, that was a great session your free lesson time for today is over but we will give you another free lesson tomorrow if you want to advance faster and blah blah blah. I tried to re-download it but it still doesn’t let me play and I didn’t even play anything today!😡😡😡

I like this piano lesson. This piano app has so many songs, and I like all of them, and my piano skills are getting better and better!

Good But Could Be Better. Your app is really good. I approve but there are some flaws I would like to point out. I was maybe considering that you could fix them? Anyways here they are- Flaw 1. Maybe you could give positive feedback like if I fail a level (it happens often) you could say something like “Good Job Just Remember That blah blah blah” Flaw 2. I also agree with the other 11 year old Review about the voice it is kinda stupid 😭 no offence whoever made this app did a great job but like the voice I can’t 😭😭😭 Flaw 3. You give very little assistance. I personally think that you should be more specific about the keys and how to relax your hands and all that. One good thing: Unlike the 11 year old I like how you can skip ahead i tried many different apps to help me learn and one off them let me use it for a bit then made me pay. I had already learned the basics and didn’t wanna redo it. Thank you for reading. I took the time to give you a detailed review I’m hoping you could do the same for the app. But actually if you don’t fix the voice I will delete it & come to the office with the 11 year old

It’s WAY to hard. I tryed playing a song and it kept redoing me to the start BECAUSE I MISSED ONE NOTE and I kept playing for HOURS and kept doing that would not recommend

Evelyn. I love this app! It’s so good

Nice tool. This is perfect for me because I’ve enjoyed playing the scales for quite a while, I took a beginners course on line and I just loved doing scales but this is the tool to get that second hand doing desyncronised playing in my opinion and it’s great to keep you on the schedule of your practice also,I knew about the three steps of practice but to put it into practice and create your own exercises etc. Was too boring for me. I hope I can evolve from this game but it’s great for amateurs 👍🏻

It’s the best. So I learned how to play the piano with it and now I’m really good at it it’s really good at teaching and there’s no ads. The only time an ad came up is a rare. I really prefer that you download it and if you’re reading this and you’re the person who made it, you did a really good job. Thank you I love this app and I still have that account just yeah download it

Hfht. I have to go to the store to get my car fixed and I will be there in a eeeeee minutes and I will be there in a few minutes if you want to come over and pick up some stuff and I can do it tomorrow if you want to come over and pick it up tomorrow

Simply Piano is way easier. I really tried to give this app a shot, but it’s just very clunky and confusing compared to SimplyPiano as a beginner. It’s just very hard to learn on here compared to the other app. All this app would need to get five stars is a way for the song to not move forward until you hit the correct piano keys. Why is that not offered? It’s all this app needs because otherwise the song moves on and leaves you in the dust whether you hit the correct notes or notes and that’s no way to learn.

DO NOT GET. I obtained this app under the pretenses of a free trial. They immediately charged my card. Liars. The “lessons” are also very awful. If you click beginner they start with no explanations, no chord building, nothing but shoving you into patterns with absolutely no explanation. They put sheet music in front of you if you click “beginner” it would seem obvious that a beginner needs to understand sheet music. It’s not practice when you just play the song and tell them when they missed notes. Practice and learning are showing a slow breakdown of notes. Worst money ever spent.

Great!. I learned to play the piano with this app, and will always be grateful 😀! But there is one thing. It moves you so quickly to another lesson, and doesn’t really explain any tips on how to play the notes. I wish that would change! Also, they advertise the premium so much, and don’t give enough practice time. I also wish that would change! But other than that, absolutely wonderful!

Amazing but.... I’ve always wanted to learn to play piano. This app is amazing! It teaches tons of songs and lets you use it for free for 40 minutes. The only thing that bothers me is that when I, for a fact, KNOW that I played the notes correctly, it says I didn’t. It annoys me. Also when I play any F but the correct F it says it’s correct. Definitely should fix that. I guess that’s all. 4 1/2 rating for me. Out of 5

Great app. I LOVE THIS APP!!!! At first all I knew was how to do a scale because on of my friends had taught me how to do it, but then my parents introduced me to this app. I’m nine years old and in two days yousician taught me how to do my first song. This app may not be helpful for everyone but it sure has been a huge help to me.

Nice app. It is such a good app but it has got me in tears because it doesn’t show me where to put my hands! Just started a week ago and it has taught me how to play more than five songs already, including Ode to Joy, When the Saints Come Marching In, and Lean on Me. But pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase! If the app sees this! Please find a way to show me where my hands go! Thanks!

I love the app. I think it’s better than simply piano because it actually helps and you don’t need money to play all the songs and it’s fine it’s just teaching you different ways and give you a learning path learning path and I give you workouts and I think it’s amazing🎃👾

Good, but not great. I am trying to learn to play piano. The good part is that it’s better than Simply Piano. The Good, but not great part is: When I’m trying to play the “Pop - Three chord songs”, & “Classical - D Minor Position”, the microphone always thinks that I’m playing the wrong chords and/or notes. On the “Classical - D Minor Position”, it’s my keyboard that gets me wrong. On the “Pop - Three chord songs”, it’s the microphone that gets me wrong. Can you please fix this, Yousician, and the creators of my keyboard? Thanks.

Too fast. I’m not new to piano but this app still moves too fast for me. When you get things wrong there’s no extra practice available. Instead you keep moving through the course until you get to impossible songs for your actual level. UPDATE: there is only so much practicing the same song at different speeds can do. This app needs more songs to help you practice. For example, Playground Sessions has maybe 20 songs in one unit.

There is nothing to complain about this. Every piano lesson I find ends up clothing minis but this gives 1 lesson a day and it’s so fun and I got so good at the piano and I really think this is the one for me although I would like more lessons but it’s ok 👌🏽, c’mon people and get this game cause there ain’t nothing better than this right here, well except for when you lesson in person but you know COVID-19 and all so this is the bestseller

It’s not good 😡!. It’s crappy, I’m sorry to be harsh but, I am beginning and only know the notes c d e f and g. And it gave a full in song with only about 30 seconds of practice time. And when I make mistakes it doesn’t even try to help me fix them. And it goes to fast in the song, even when you are just practicing, it will be 5 notes ahead of where I just played, it doesn’t understand that I practice on this and am a beginner. So I can’t do what song it wants me to. I can barley play Ode to Joy and it what’s me to play dreamer out of no where. Sorry if I sound like a Karen but, I though I had to say something.

It’s fine. I loved the app, but I liked it better when there was no subscription because now I’m stuck with only 7 or so previews of songs and I didn’t get to improve my left hand at all because it only allowed me to do one video and practice before everything else was locked. Over all, it’s one of the best piano apps I’ve used I just don’t like the subscription

Great App! Some Easy vug fix and improvements. Best app for learning piano i've found. Good course of classes and fun list of 'real' songs at every skill level. Improvements: Include some more 'basic' songs like twinkle twinkle and other classics (now i have to google random links and screenshot) Bug Fix: My 'best' score increases every time i open/close a song even without hitting a new score record. Just continually inflating by small random amounts, only ever increasing. Literally without even playing song again. Videotapped it happening in app to be sure i wasn't crazy :).

Amazing App!. I love this app it helps my daughter get better at playing the piano, she has now reached level 7 and she loves the piano now! She plays a song everyday and it also is fun she gets to play her favorite songs 10/10 Recommend!

Why can’t I just play part of the song. I believe that this is a great app for beginners! It gives you choices on what you wish to study. All around great app. However, it annoys me that I cannot choose which section of the song to practice. I don’t want to replay the whole song over again. It would be much easier if I could just practice the stuff I need to work on.

Good. This app is very good except You you can’t play for long I can only play for 10 minutes isn’t very good but can still play the song for a little bit more if you’re already on a song and you can also have parts like if it’s hard for you you have a part you can do

Great App. Thank you for this app! I use it a few hours every day and recommend it whenever anyone asks how I'm learning Piano. A few suggestions / issues: - When using airpods while practicing, the sound quality is noticeably worse - It would be awesome to have a timed or (especially) endless flashcard mode similar to guitar tuna's chord trainers but for piano - It would be great if you could use the piano keys as button triggers for "continue" when watching a video or starting a session instead of having to interact with the phone every time I want to move forward

I love the app, BUT. I don’t understand how the ear training exercises are suppose to work. Even when I play along with the notes…and there is no discord… it never registers that I’ve played it correctly. It’s very frustrating to not know what you want with that section. There is no explanation anywhere for that. Can you help???

Tangible results quickly!. I haven’t touched a piano in 30 years. In just 3 weeks I have surpassed the level where I left off with my lessons 3 decades ago. I would like to see more songs added in the future but there is plenty here to keep me busy for quite a long time. I feel like it has been well worth the $120 investment.

Pretty good app. It's pretty good the only thing I don't like is that there are no boy fox songs :( but otherwise it is pretty good I've been using it for about a year now I'm learning pretty fast love it I just don't really like the songs in it I do not know a lot of the songs I know a few from my marine dragons but it's a pretty good app overall no ads which is the best

Push you too hard!. Well this has taught me a lot! But the fact that you learn something new and it gives you a extremely hard song right after, please can you make the songs easier the moment you learn something. And also, for level 6, IT GIVES ME LEVEL 7 SONGS THAT I HAVE TO PLAY!!! Just make the songs easier please.

Note problems. While I was playing a song I realized I pressed D instead of F but the app still said “Perfect” on that note. Then I ran a test. I would stop playing the piano but still let the app run, and 7/10 times the app would say “Great” or “perfect” when I was making no noise and there was no background noise. But when I WAS playing the piano, I would hit the right note but the app would say it was wrong. Please fix this.

Piano lessons. This is great when you start to play but it makes you pay for subscription which I did not want. This is an unhelpful game and I recommend to not get it but on the other hand, they did have great songs I wish I have learned. I think they could’ve took away the subscription but other than that it’s a great game.

Great app, love the new update. This a super great app, even though it can be a little frustrating to learn a new instrument. It has lots of cool features and I really like the new update where you can play one part of a song at a time. Definitely recommend, it takes lots of patience to learn a new instrument and Yousician is a great way to start.

Dependence on colors. The app is great! I love it. I’ve been able to pick up a lot more than I’ve been able to with other apps and videos. However, this app shows the music score in a very interesting way with colors. This is great when figuring out what keys I should be pressing, but it doesn’t help learn how to actually read music. I would love if there was a part that helped users transition from colored notes to black and white early on.

Great App!. It is great for learning piano, and a great way to not spend too much money on piano classes. However, there is a price, but you can get the family plan, which is really worth the $17 a month. There are also some glitches, where the screen will freeze and take you 1 second back, but don’t let it get the best of you. So, overall, pretty good app.

Great app little glitchy. The program is great and I’m having a lot of fun learning the piano. It does seem to have some lessons that are out of place and definitely has some glitches especially when playing a c cord with root note which is irritating. Otherwise it’s great and I’m finally doing something I’ve spent my whole life wanting to do.

Thieves. So I’m sure somewhere in the text of the sign up for a free trail it states it will charge my iTunes account, but I wanted to use a credit card and no option was given. It should not be allowed to steal automatically after the trial is done, they should just turn off the service if someone does not want it any longer. Cannot find the refund button/process, was used once! Now I want to cancel but if I’ve paid for a year of crappy service, why cancel if they won’t refund?

I’ve actually improved. Love this app. It’s actually gotten me to consistently practice, and I’ve found that I’m less hesitant to sit down and play because I know there’s a lesson already prepared for me to follow. I’ve used it almost daily for a few months, and I’m already much better than I was after a year of self practice. Thanks a ton!

Love it, it helped me get back to my piano after 22 years!. I used to play well as a youngster, but stopped playing when I graduated high school. 40 years later, I missed playing my piano but didn’t know how to get back...this app was fantastic in helping me get back to my piano playing groove, I enjoy every minute!

Amazing. I really wanted to play piano and I saw this ad and when I saw it was free I downloaded it and already after two days I can already play three songs it is amazing if you have a piano you should definitely download this app

Seems like a decent app but 👎 subscription model. Overall this app is good. It’s presentation is nice and the lessons are interesting. But the subscription model is not for me. Don’t get me wrong devs need to make money but I’d prefer if it was a one time purchase. The free app only allows for 10 minutes of lessons per day which is obviously not enough. Also, what about families? In app purchases are not family share compatible so that creates a headache when you have multiple Apple IDs in your household.

AMAZING APP. I started to play piano when I was 5 years old, I played for 6 years reading notes, but was tought by a teacher in person. We moved when I was 9 and we could no longer make the drive to see her, and facetime was not working out. We decided to try Yousician. I am 11 now and learning again quicker then ever. GREAT APP.

Playing issues. This app is great except for the part where it sometimes doesn’t record a note you actually played. I’ve been having trouble with this and i just started yesterday. It makes me frustrated because i’m a perfectionist and it’s frustrating to see you got a note “wrong” just because it didn’t record it. Also, I don’t like the fact that you can’t play other songs for free but that doesn’t bother me as much. I really do suggest you don’t use this app. Use simply piano or something else.

Good. I love this app and would have given it five stars but sadly after a little bit you have to pay money for the courses. It is really good though. I have made a lot of improvements that I haven’t made with other apps. Would highly suggest but, keep in mind after a little bit it does ask for money.

Why Yousician is the best piano teaching app…. It’s amazing and helps you learn how to play and even if you don't own it it’s still a great way to practice for free every day even with the practice limit and they have all your favorite songs and more. Plus challenges to test you skill.

Good but.... This is a good app in my opinion but, something isn’t right. First, I used to have real piano lessons and this is not easy to play on. Second, every time I tap a note, it doesn’t play. Third, why money? Does every game have money in it? Fourthly, can you make the keys on the piano bigger, they are to small and I know small, I’m short myself. Anyways, I just got this game some bugs but I’m sure as I play it more I will get used to it soooo...keep up the work!🎹🎼🎹

I learn how to play piano. I was looking for another one I found the app called Piano and I got my Piano instead of three and I got to play my favorite song is in a cave me real time feedback tells me what I got wrong on my steps and step-by-step I get better and better and you can also search for your favorite songs my favorite song is crazy for you OK get the F today do you have five stars

Great, but a little frustrating. This app is GREAT, and it really helps me learn piano, but the reason I rated this 4 stars because a little too quick. And it feels SUPER frustrated when you get it wrong. I REALLY wish somebody can fix that. Oh yeah, and this is the reason I deleted the app without much practice.

Kate -Belleville. I just got this app about a week ago. I had tried another one prior to this. This one is amazing and I am so glad that it was recommended to me by my nephew August. I look forward to practicing every night. Keep up the good work Yousician! I would definitely recommend this to anyone especially a beginner like me.

FREQUENT ERROR MESSAGES. UNABLE TO USE CONSISTENTLY.. I keep receiving the error message: “Something went wrong. An unexpected error occurred. If the problem persists, please contact is via the Support tab in the Settings menu.” Yes - I have already deleted, re-downloaded, and restarted the iPad. Someone fix it, please!

Almost perfect. I love this app very very much. The premium so much fun. The only reason I’m putting it as 4 stars instead of 5 is because the songs made by The Yousician aren’t on any music streaming platforms. I’m sure that there is a reason why but it saddens me when I play a song that I love and it’s not on there.

It was my last hope. Until…. I wanted to play piano so bad. So I played with Simply Piano. Pricy subscription. I saw the reviews for this and they were good and said it was free. THEY WERE WRONG. It was my last hope to learn from here from those reviews. I tried learning, and the subscription came along just to learn to use two hands! So I deleted it. And at first I was so excited too! Until that.

Thank you. Thank you for making this the best game ever it is really fun and will help me to my Piano but I need to get the other game that’s piano because it’s really boring but this game is really fun you get to play songs that you love and I don’t know what I would do without this game it is so much fun thank you for making this thank you💝💝💝💝💝

Beyond frustrating. The unmarked/unannounced position changes, even in incredibly low level songs, is absolutely discouraging. Figure out a way to show all positions at the start of the songs and/or a way to alert people of the position change before they play the wrong notes with the correct fingers. I try over and over to give this app a chance and it just absolutely falls down in comparison to apps like SimplyPiano that use completely basic methods like bolding to accomplish this easy task. You have no usable finger position notation for beginners. How?!?

Random Rating. Some songs were a little bit hard but eventually you come up with a useful technique and it works really well, but after you are done with the basic level you have to pay to get the other lessons. Thankfully you can go back and improve your songs or relearn them.

Missing Lessons / Chords. I have been Using Yousician from one and half year now. Ukulele and Piano. I have had issue with Ukulele where they do not explain everything in details Example how to read certain symbols, chords and it ends up in a practice lessons. Example for this app : With the piano at stage 3 they referred as you already learned A major chord (which they did not teach any lessons) and now it is referred to learn chord C. As you move forward these lags/missing lessons will leave you on your own where you have to figure out stuff. I loved this app but this is my second instrument which I am learning as part of Premium bundle. Just for anyone looking for membership keep above in mind.

Great app except one thing.. This is a great app. I’m 11 years old and I just started using this to learn piano. The only problem I have is that it takes money to go to the next song. First you start with ode to joy, but you have to pet until the day after. I hope this review was helpful.
