More fluidity please.. When grabbing and dragging around notes on the piano roll, the note kind of lags behind. It feels like im dragging the note by a string instead of the note selected moving right along with my finger. A great example of fluidity where there’s no lag moving notes around is beat maker 3. Sure you have way more piano roll options in this but it can feel a bit clunky when I can’t quickly / fluidly grab a note and reposition it without that laggy automation. Not bashing the app I just see this as an opportunity for growth. So far so good though thanks for the recent update.

Exported Midi, clips, and songs are not in the folders, only for helium access. What’s the point of exporting midi files if I can’t access them. Only helium will open midi files created in helium. Anything created in helium is unavailable. Just call it "save project". The helium folder remain empty…

Cannot see midi out channels in AUM. Why doesn’t Heliums midi channels appear in AUM / ?

Fantastic App. It’s amazing to see the developer continuing to maintain and advance Helium 4 years on. 4Pockets apps basically require you to watch the tutorial vids, as the interfaces are often overstuffed with useful things. But once you figure out Helium, it’s incredibly powerful. (And I find it sad to see a 1-star review because the app is missing a niche feature… Helium provides tremendous value for its minuscule price.)

Helium is gonna surpass infinity!(maybe not). Update- Randomising using a scale such as mono arp, poly arp, random etc. Selecting the “random” function in the randomizing process from the menu causes the app to crash consistently. It also crashes the daw using the app. Extremely irritating bug. Bug Report Update- Hey Paul, there’s a consistent bug that causes crashes the project every time, while using randomisation functions, if you move over to “random” button(after mono arp, poly arp), the daw just vanishes away from the screen, then restart is the option. Amazing work on the recent updates but didn’t wanted helium to having this irritating and fatal bug. Do check on this. Given that Paul, his health and mental fortitude is intact, This app is literally going to change the game and the rules! No paul didn’t give it to me, bought it. Had flaws, glitches! But the way Paul is doing things, this app is just unparalleled! The thing is uneducated musicians won’t know the potential it offers, Paul developed this for the ones who knows the game! Regards!

Big disappointment!. I do not know what “AUM” is. I was hoping I could create music within the app itself; however, where is the sound? Volume is turned up and I do not hear anything! Developer has many videos on YouTube; however, I do not have time to listen to them all, which would probably take hours. Don’t get this unless you are a professional musician!

Midi import. I haven't used this feature in a while. It used to work smoothly, but now when I import midi files with more than one instrument (from Logic Pro X or Reaper) all the tracks are mixed together on track one. Is it because I upgraded my iPad?

Great app and devs. This is a great complement to Atom sequencer whose pattern sets are similar to the remote loops in Helium but which are cumbersome to make act like Atom’s patterns. I use Helium to sequence Atom into full songs with Helium’s loops as cue points for live performance.

A powerful and multifaceted MIDI sequencer. I’ve been using this app for about 5 years and it is better than ever. I use it frequently in my projects these days. If you need help understanding and using the app, good news - the built in help has been totally reworked and expanded and it’s great. Plus there’s a load of new features and fixes that have been added. The developer is very engaged and actively supports the app. There are some great tutorials out there, both old and new which can get you started or help you get the most out of the app. I consider this app a great value for the price. It’s got more features than some similar apps at double the price or more, but to me it’s worth it even for the most basic functions.

Almost perfect. Just wish i could view more ghost tracks at the same time, and they were more visible so i could see all the midi note on different tracks on the same piano roll with different colors. Other than that, its useful.

Essential for previewing midi loops. Been using Helium for a year now, It has become a staple in my AUM setup - using the midi browser to trigger loops from my large collection of midi basslines, melodies and drums loops. Helium makes it easy to preview loops with minimal setup.

Intuitive, practical and user friendly. Needed an app to import MIDI files generated by Piano Motifs and play them in AUM. You can do this with one instance of Helium in AUM. I import a folder with the Piano Motifs clips into the Media Bay and then import the MIDI clips into different tracks (channels in AUM). Sync and then play! A breeze to use.

Pretty solid with lots of very unique features but... Desperately needs a "Scissor tool" to be able to shorten midi events but would make 2 events out of the one, or 3 out of the same one if shortened again. Thanks

Just what I needed!. I was looking for a simple enough yet deep enough MIDI sequencer to use with Loopy Pro. This one is just right for my needs… and with plenty of extra functionality under the hood if needed. I watched the two recent masterclass tutorials on YouTube from the author. They were super clear and helpful. Bravo!

Love This App. Great midi sequencer. The only issues I have with it so far is sometimes notes get stuck, and I really wish the press/hold to audition midi sequences had a latch option since it hurts to keep holding to preview so many midi files.

Crash Crash Crash. Nonstop crashes with this app. I am using it in AUM on an A16 iPAD with just 2 tracks of sequenced midi, each on a different port. AUM is running at ~30% CPU and it’s just crash after crash after crash. Absolutely unusable in a live setting. So disappointing. I will be purchasing Atom 2.

Helium and AUM. I’m hearing a lot of great reviews about this app, but, I just don’t understand what is going on as far as the connection between this app and AUM, the app works just fine; for some reason, Helium is not even listed at all, I’ve even tried Audiobus and not in the database. I have an iPad 8G (iOS 14.4.1) I can’t even see its full potential because of this issue, hopefully it may be something I’m doing wrong. Any help would be gladly appreciated, thanks.

Show us how to use the chord track…. (No, you didn’t. ) I hit velocity, and the following behavior is nothing like what you demonstrated. I turn on chord track and it doesn’t make a difference. I double tap, or hold on the blank chord track bar and nothing is shown. Please, please, show us from absolute scratch , with nothing preset in your demonstration and at the beginning of the tutorial how to get the and add chords in the track.

It works now!. Tested it out with Loopy Pro and it now works. Only issue is that the grid looks off relative to the piano roll.
