Great app. Great app for sequencing chord progressions

Perhaps the best midi plugin in history. It’s sublime! Sure, trigger guitars ... but get a nice finger picking pattern and try a piano!! Oh my... add some fancy chords to the pads and impress yourself. So much so I want to ask the dev for some control over pedal damping. I think that would work for guitars as well... Seriously brilliant ... runs in Cubasis 3 fine here. Recordings are in time and I find it’s a joy to tweak. Buy it.

What??. This looks like it will take a midi composition and strum or sequence it (like phrasebox vst). If you’re looking for this, don’t waste your money. This will only sequence and arp the chords built into the app. Midi input is just to trigger their chords. Pretty sure this app is also a repackaged version of another one of their apps I bought thinking it would do the same thing.

How hard can it be to get MIDI out of this thing?. Well designed interface and sounds great. But other MIDI plugins have a simple button to copy and paste MIDI patterns you’ve created for easy pasting into a DAW. This one doesn’t. Why? So frustrating I take 30 minutes to design a strum pattern I like and I have no straightforward way to get it into my DAW.

Crashes so much. i love this app and it has excellent sounds but i can’t have like more than 2 tracks of this plugin open in garageband before it corrupts the entire track and makes the project impossible to open and the plugin just does not work. Please fix this soon as i love using this plugin but i just cant if it keeps glitching out like this

Great. Hoping for. Midi in would be stellar. Also, ability to touch the fretboard to make a custom chord and/or voicing would be cool.

Works well on iOS, but crashes on macOS. Could you please optimize this wonderful app to work on M1 Macs?

Has potential but…. 1. You can’t change chords mid pattern in latch mode. It seems to bug out and change half the chord so it sounds terrible. 2. You can’t strum with a midi controller! You can control nearly everything except the most important thing. I want to be able to strum up and down to my own rhythm on a midi controller. Without these, it’s just a sequencer. And one where the UI is quite clunky.

Amazingly versatile guitar arpeggiator!. The more I use Strummer, the more it becomes a go-to guitar player in my AU hosts. In addition to playing patterns with touch pads, it will also convert incoming MIDI to guitar chords which can be arpeggiated. You can also send Strummer’s MIDI out to play another sound module. And, it’s a capable soundfont player, so you can load other sounds. Song mode lets you construct a chord progression and have it play back in sync with your host. 👍

I love what I think it’s supposed to do…. Cool app but something is off or I am not getting it correctly. (When used as a midi FX in AUM) It’s receiving a cord progression from helium and it will forward MIDI info With one bar latency. It only works correctly with its internal sounds. Midi ch out keeps returning to default on every startup.

Positively Sick. There weren’t many reviews here, but everything was 4 or 5 stars so I took a chance, and WOW am I glad I did. This app is positively sick. Super easy to incorporate into GarageBand. Really intuitive interface with a lot of depth. Highly recommend it! Great job to the Dev!

Crash. App keeps crashing being hosted in AUM on iPhone 15 pro max. Tried to get support but the web page that comes up looks suspicious. Not even using the internal sounds. Since I am using my phone I put it into airplane mode as I am getting alerts about a storm. It seems to be ok after that. Very useful app so I hope that is the issue. Wish there was a way to have piano to guitar chords and also be able to strum manually.

Great App, only guitar-centric strummer and arpeggiator. Great app for what it does. I dream of the world where this has a similar interface to Helium, to save and export patterns to midi. As well as a way to tap or strum patterns manually and record. Picturing an interface reminiscent of guitarism.

Good at what it does, but could do more. When making songs with a straight bpm, the strumming is serviceable especially with effects like random velocity and humanize which can add more realism so to speak to a performance. But as far as any song with a swing/triplet tempo with any sort of specific version of such, this program can’t do anything like that at all. Compare this to how logic pro for ipad allows one to offset each note in its pattern editor. I think it’s a wasted potential that strummer doesn’t allow you to do this too, to have that much more control over songs

SF bug. Love the design, sound fonts not working when loaded as an instrument in AUM. IPad air 2 14.4.2

OPINION UPDATE. INITIALLY UPSET THAT I COULD NOT DETERMINE HOW TO SYNC THIS APP WITH OTHER APPS. I REACHED OUT TO THE DEVELOPER AND DID NOT RECEIVE A PROMPT REPLY. DEVELOPERS SEEM TO THINK WE KNOW INTUITIVELY HOW TO OPERATE THEIR APPS WITHOUT A PROPER GUIDE. AS OF TODAY THE DEVELOPER REACHED OUT AND MADE A REPLY AND MY QUESTIONED WAS ANSWERED.

Latest update. The was sort of working before. It was always crashing in IMPC pro 2 on iPhone 14 pro max. Now it just says failed to load, it also fails to load stand alone. Now can I’m locked out of several projects that I utilized this with. Besides the latest update was the first update in a while. I hope this can be fixed in an update soon.

Modulation in songs?. I’m really enjoying midi strummer and especially like the custom pad feature. I don’t find the song creation as useful as I’d like because I can’t find any way to modulate. Once you’ve picked the root chord you’re stuck with that key. Is there some way in a song pattern to insert a chord outside the key? So far I’ve had to revert to using the pads which gets tedious when recording a long sequence. Still a great app for sure!
