Overall good, However…. I mainly downloaded this for the genshin daily check in, and then there was a lot more to do when your bored like quizzes on characters and even events for more primos/in game rewards! theirs also ways to check your resin, see how you did in spiral abyss, maps with descriptions of how to find chests and stuff, and a lot more! However the only thing i would say is bad is the people and sometimes you’ll meet someone who sexuallizes a lot of characters (mostly women)But aside from that, there’s also great people too that make nicer posts/wholesome stuff etc! overall it’s good for your account if you wanna get some extras, but just like anywhere else on the internet be wary :P

Awesome!. I play genshin impact, and this app is incredibly helpful. I get to check in and if just gives me awards that are sent immediately to my genshin impact mail and i can look at others posts and post my own experiences with genshins scenery and my wishing luck. This app is fun to see how others are doing and share how you, yourself are. Also, on this app there's a teyvat interactive map. Genshin impact's map is beautiful and large and the interactive map helps us know where the things we need are. It's super helpful! I rate this app a 10/10 it's amazing for me, i personally have not had any trouble and i recommend this app to all genshin players.

Great knowledge and rewards but lack of risk features on reward system. Great app! Fun and creative with ideas, a great help with builds and knowledge of the game itself. Reward system is great and kind of buggy at times or maybe it’s just me not clicking the correct earn-able feature for the rewards. It a be great if you added the risk of the treasure trove saying there’s a hole and you’d get nothing.. nowhere did I see a drop rate of the hilichurls treasure trove having a hole 🕳.. unbeknownst to me I did it cause it stated a reward would be giving regardless of less or greater depiction of the items which were stated.

.. Already great enough, but many users have been asking for a tag blocking function since a lot of users post controversial content and apparently reporting isn’t enough. But even with a tag blocking function it still wouldn’t help if the tag limit is only 5 which is very restricting since we should be able to mention every tag to define our post in order for users to not see what they don’t wanna see. And also improve the action taken after reports because I do not feel like reporting hentai only for it to not get taken down on hoyolab. And a “delete all comments” or an option to select to delete comments would be appreciated for faster clearance especially for users who just comment to help other users get achievements.. It comes off as spam.

Room for improvement. The only reason why I am not rating it five stars is because of the interactive map and the overall moderation of posts. I don’t like that I can set a custom pin and view routes on my tablet, but I can’t make routes unless I am on a PC. I have a PC, but going back and forth is very inconvenient. What about the other users who don’t even own a PC? I know they are probably annoyed about it too. As for the moderation, it is saddening looking at so many racist and homophobic/transphobic users be able to post so freely without any repercussions. The new report feature is nice, but it doesn’t do anything. Those posts are still up and the users are still able to have an account on HoYoLAB. Not only that, they get tons of engagement on those harmful posts and I know most of the users of the app are under 18. That is beyond harmful for their mental and self-esteem. Please enforce your own rules. You can’t say this and that aren’t allowed, but still let them get away with those very things.

I’m confused. I have no idea how this app is but it’s probably amazing! I just have one issue. I’ve registered into the acc I have for star rail right? Well I tried to. When I try to register into the account it said it was already in use. I was confused because I never used this app before in my life and this is my first time. So I tried to reset my password and log in but it still didn’t work! I tried everything and I mean EVRYTHING!! And it still says it’s in use. Am I doing something wrong? The email I used is completely different from the email I used for the App Store. I don’t get it can you please try to tell me what I am doing wrong? I never shared that email with anyone ever! Nor the password. Can you please help me out?

Great App!.. but a few bugs?. My friend and I saw the hoyolab app and we love it, however some notifications don’t really work for us for some reason, most specifically the daily checkin. We have it turned on, but it doesn’t notify you when it resets, so that’s a bit of a disappointment. On the topic of notifications, it would be really nice to have the ability to have a notification bell for when someone you follow makes a post. It’s just nice to be able to see a preview of the post or to be able to know what has been posted without having to get in the app and scour around. Another addition that could be pretty nice is having a messaging system so that people could talk to each other? I don’t think that I would use it often, but I like the option to communicate with others if I would like to. It would also be really really nice to see how much resin you had in your Genshin account through the app! Managing resin can be a bit scary if you don’t want to cap out, so having the ability to check it through the app would be such a godsend! Either way, I’m happy with the app so far, and I will continue to use it for my Genshin-y needs!

just got it today, but i’m loving it!. i honestly only got this game so i could get daily rewards for my newer account to help with leveling up, building characters, etc. but within the first few minutes it totally grew on me! both me and my brother are on it for more than the rewards on Genshin, but also for the fabulous fan art, which is either really good- so good it’s jaw-dropping!- or just absolutely adorable, the memes and any other fanfics there might be besides the Thoma&Childe one! (i loved that one btw Wind Traveler Jaime, if it weren’t for you i never would’ve fallen in love with ChiLumi and fall in love with Childe even more especially since my main is Lumine!!!) and the wallpapers that people make! i am very thankful for this app and glad i had the courage to ask my parents for it or else my life wouldn’t be the same!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Moderator Free Zone. The only content moderated in this app is leaks related to Hoyo’s own games. Outside that, it’s a disgusting free for all. If you’re an adult thinking of downloading, be aware that to get to actual game content, you’ll have to scroll through kids treating this app like Instagram or a dating site, doing face reveals and posting drama back and forth. If you’re a parent checking on this for your child…just don’t. Underage girls so young they don’t even understand the filthy comments people are making under their face reveals, AI slop that isn’t required to be labeled, smutty FanFics and fan art, etc. in an app rated for 13 and over, not 18 and over! Never mind the constant political commentary in an app for a game, this place is as bad as Twitter. Take the worst subreddit you can think of and remove the moderation and you’ll have a picture of what HoyoLab is like. Even the moderators have made posts in the app clarifying they aren’t allowed to actually moderate and can only forward concerns/complaints to Hoyo. Mark Zuckerberg’s issues with children and social media pale in comparison to this app.

I wish I didn’t have to see the posts.. Tl:dr I don’t like the community and I wish I could just have the ability to check in, see my stats and that’s it. I really only have this app for the check in and looking at my stats (days online, characters, etc) on my Hoyo games. There are a lot of bigoted and creepy people both posting and commenting, and I can’t block them all lol. Someone argued that a girl shouldn’t show off her body on the internet if she didn’t want people to harass her (said girl posted a picture with the bottom of her face and a regular t-shirt on). There are also a lot of people who hate and harrass people for redesigning characters as darker skinned or a bigger body when everyone in their right mind knows that Hoyo isn’t very visually diverse. It’s very tiring seeing a nice black cyno edit n knowing the people are throwing the word “racist” around in the comment section like a basketball. this app just does not have a nice community and it is kinda hoyo’s fault for being so close-minded in their designs when it comes to body shape and skin tone, as well as fostering a community that’s so used to ambiguous ages that every character (Genshin specifically because I don’t know about the other games) can be argued is legal in some way.

Only works a quarter of the time!. Love the idea of this app, but the execution is terrible. Great concept of having the map and the daily check in stuff, and love seeing fan art and being able to submit to photo competitions all from one app instead of using the website. However, every time I use the app, it will be working fine for a moment and connected to strong internet and it will suddenly stop loading things and give a network error sign on every page. I’ve tried reloading and restarting but it just doesn’t work. it’s absolutely not my internet or my phone, I’ve tested it multiple times when the problem arises. So annoying to only be able to use for a minute before it becomes completely useless. Hoping the next update fixes the issue!

The Communities here are so much kinder and wholesome. Go on Twitter and you’ll see how down bad, horny, and toxic people are from the genshin community. Here? Everyone is so nice and wholesome it’s just nice to take a break. I don’t think I found any bugs from the time I started using the app which is good, the check in feature I kind of annoying because I have to click on the icon and it sends me to my browser instead of staying on the app, but it’s not that big of a deal. Overall I say it’s a 5/5 app, and I can’t track my progress from all my games here and see builds and different TCG decks that work for me

Overall. This app is great overall it keeps you up to date on current events and banners allows players to share their art work and cosplays of characters has a daily login outside of 2 of their games Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact has an interactive map for Genshin Impact and even a resin tracker for Genshin so you dont have to completely open the game just to close it. It would be wonderful if they added a wish tracker to make keeping track of wishes in genshin alot easier. Other apps have them but most require you to pay for a something so convenient its a nice idea but something like that over $2 is absurd I'd feel alot better if the company themselves added this

uhhhhh good? i guess?. The app is super helpful! I mainly downloaded it for the teyvat interactive map and it really helped :3 plus so much more stuff like daily check ins for in game items that also help out ^^ building characters and so on and so forth. The developers are incredible and the games they make are too. But i hate the community. Like so much 💀 I never wanted to meet the community because of how much bad i hear about it and i’ve been bullied online for playing genshin before they got to really know me. Saying things like “the only sane genshin player” “rare genshin player W” stuff like that. And unfortunately now i know why. The community is just straight up cringe. Obsessive, mentally unwell, and head over heels in love with fictional characters. I didnt think it was that bad until a younger player made a redesign and was horribly cussed out over “trying to change the character” because “she is perfect the way she is”. I dont understand how you can have so much hatred for a real human and so much love for a character that doesn’t even exist…. But yeah. Thats my take on it. just stay away from most of the people and its a great app

I Really Don’t Recommend This.. this app is definitely not very fun to hang around. I usually just use it for log in rewards for Genshin. however, anytime I decided to scroll through posts, look at comments, I often find some unpleasant things. lots of the character posts I see are s**ualized (mostly the female characters like Yelan I’ve seen most of), and it’s uncomfortable to see. more than half of the actual friendly posts there’s always someone there to be toxic and unforgiving, and sometimes it’s nearly all of the comments which is really disappointing. also, with a lot of the tier lists you’ll find that if someone doesn’t agree with it, they won’t just be nice and respect it but will literally be rude and disrespectful just because they feel a different way. in conclusion, a lot of the users here you’ll find to be unpleasant. I do know some good people there, there’s that I suppose, but still. my god. if you DO decide to get this app despite hearing of this in multiple of these ratings, beware.

overall an amazing app :). Hi!! i am mushroom. and im somewhat new to this (ive been on the web for quite a while but didn’t post often) and im trying to do more events and post more but I want to say how useful this app is to anyone thinking about getting this app! The community here is nice and there are so many kinds of posts. ranging from fanart to food to in-game guides, it’s easy to find a few topics you are interested in :) the only hoyoverse game I play is genshin impact. I play everyday so the check ins are extremely helpful when I’m in need of primos/mora/food/level up mats. it’s also nice to use the interactive map if for example you have one more mondstadt shrine of depths and you can’t find it, the map can help you a lot! one suggestion is that you can let players be able to see what they have already found on the map like oculi and shrines of depths :D I found some bugs i the app but they might not really be the apps fault for example when I was doing the novice event and posted 3 times, I tried to get the reward but it said that it didn’t meet the requirements or something (?) I did claim it much later though (the app also lags a lot but that probably my device lol!) ...just realized how much I wrote so but if you read all of this congrats! I wish to get the artist badge soon and post fanarts more (and get kazuha!) have a good day- no rest of your life!! :D

They’re racist and they know it.. Genshin Impact, made by these developers, is racist. They have a region (Sumeru) inspired by the Middle East and India, yet the characters are white as paper; representative of like 1% of those cultures and populations. Another region coming soon (Natlan) based on Venezuela, and parts of Central and South America, and the official characters revealed so far are barely colored. I am from Venezuela and I know what my people look like. They chose to base the characters on the 1% of white hispanics. In both regions the bad guys that you have to defeat are the very tan people. So clearly, they know what they’re doing. It’s classic racial profiling. Not only that, but another group of bad guys- the hilichurls, are literally a race of savages, clearly based on indigenous people. Why in Sumeru and Natlan the indigenous people are the bad guys when it’s their land to begin with? Why are the suspiciously indigenous-looking hilichurls literal violent savages (and they dance like indigenous people, to boot)? Hmmm… maybe because the developers are racist and see indigenous people as savages and don’t care how it looks to portray them that way. Even if those indigenous people are actually trying to defend their homeland. Much like the history of the Americas. This game had potential. It’s engaging, the character and world design is simply beautiful (when they’re not being racist obviously), the plot is quite interesting and all the regions are beautiful. But racism is a huge no for me. I can’t justify spending ANY money on Genshin or any HoYo games until this is rectified. Not a penny.

Fun and Useful, And Need To Make iPad Version. I like all the information that is in this app. It is helpful to keep informed about all the different things going on in the HoYoLAB universe. Especially love the game user guides made by fans and the art. Would really like to have an iPad version as I do all my gaming on my iPad - horizontal use of the maps would be really helpful and lots of space. I have tried to use the map on my browser, but none of the info buttons expand correctly. I would love to be able to see all of the artwork in iPad size! Otherwise, very useful and fun.

96.3% perfect save lil nitpicks!. as someone who can get confused easily i love that hoyolab is so easy to navigate, especially since i only really use it for the daily check in rewards and online events! just 3 clicks in the app and i’m done with my daily check ins. and it looks really nice too. all the pages aren’t cluttered and each one has exactly what i would expect it to have, nothing is out of place. the cute bubbly design isn’t too much and gives the impression it’s a app meant for kids. it’s simple and friendly! the one nitpick i have is the only thing withholding that last star. i don’t like we can’t block certain tags to avoid content we don’t like. i would like to look at fanart and memes and not be flashbanged by a ship i don’t like or something that makes me uncomfortable. it would also be nice if we could step in feedback to an actual person, team, whatever instead of it just being a comment. knowing someone is seeing what us fans want changed on the app and in games makes us feel more confident that our voices are being heard. and yes i know there’s a survey sent to our in game inboxes but it doesn’t happen often and it’s nice to be able to send feedback in anytime instead of waiting in case we forget. the last thing is i want to be able to sort which characters in the order i pulled them on the “all my characters” page. is this super specific? yes. do i care? no i wanna know if i pulled punching bag- i mean yangqing before i got the cooler dan heng.

PLEASE add the ability to block tags. I'm sick of seeing HSR and AI art all over my feed. Nno matter how many times I click "not interested" (which almost never does anything), I see it appear on my feed again or more keep coming in. I swear that this function is all literally EVERYONE on the app wants, if you can't even add a properly-functioning filter feed function then at least please give us the ability to block posts from tags we don't want to see.

I recommend for many reasons.. This app is very fun, very helpful, and overall an amazing app. Original, I had downloaded this app to be able to figure out builds for characters and the interactive map(which doesn’t work for me but wtv), but I realized that overtime, this app it’s great for socializing as well. Here, you can find your people, who play the games you play. Hoyoverse has many games, yes indeed. If you want to find people who play the games you play that her miHoYo/Hoyoverse’s, this is the perfect app. They have Honkai Imapct, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Zenless Zero Zone, and Tears of Themis. I only play Honkai Star Rail and Genshin, but I do plan on getting Honkai Impact soon. This app has its benefits, many actually. You can post about your characters or maybe whatever issues you have, you can make friends and friend them on whatever game you play, you can search up builds if you play HRS or GS, bosses, maybe exploration! This app has it all. I post on this app, not daily, but just to share my experience with everyone else and my thoughts that. One thing I love about this app, is the stickers, both the stickers for each game, and the gifs. Another thing is the comment decorations. They also have this little thing called “traveling mimo” where you can use it, and get primogems for genshin, Jade crystals for HRS, and many more stuff. Overall, this app? 5 stars. Truly amazing, very helpful and super fun. I recommend, most definitely.

Great app but features could be improved. The app is great, i love that i can have an app that tracks my progress in the game i love. The interactive map for Genshin is great but it would be nice if it was improved further. It would be nice to see where on the map i haven’t explored, remaining locked chests and it would be lovely if the map removed anemocculi etc. that i have already collected. Right now the interactive map, which in my opinion would be the most useful tool in the app, only has features that can be gotten from other websites. I don’t play any of the other Mihoyo games and i can’t speak on the app features for them but i can tell this app is trying to be like the nintendo online application, which is great and would be amazing for Mihoyo games. I hope in the future they add these features and continue updating their app.

Please let us change our usernames. The only thing i think needs fixing is being able to change usernames. Please let us i know so many people that are stuck with bad ones because they where unaware it would stick. I also have a question. Will deleting an account linked to your genshin account also delete your genshin? I need to know because i liked an old account to my genshin account by accident and now i cant unlink it so i want to delete that old account so i can link my genshin account to my new HoYoLAB account. Please answer this i tried emailing with no response and I really want an answer as i cant find this answer anywhere. Thank you for your hard work.

Not worth the login reward.. CONS: - The community is boring and annoying. If it’s not people using the same 3 meme formats to talk about their gacha pulls, it’s people calling popular characters bad just because they’re popular, or someone complaining about how a character’s design is "too sexual." - The login rewards might as well be nothing. The login rewards barely even justify the time it takes to open the app. - The app runs incredibly poorly and navigating it is unnecessarily confusing. PROS: - The only upside is that you can track your Genshin and Starrail stats, but most people already play these games on their phones so it feels unnecessary. SUMMARY: Just make an Instagram account instead. As much as I love Genshin Impact and Honkai Starrail, nobody asked for a social media app where those are the only things you can talk about. Overall HoYoLAB is a hard to navigate app with a community that reposts the same 3 memes (only like 1 of which is actually funny) over and over. Don’t waste your time with this app in its current state.

Better moderation please!!. Its like Hoyo reddit + twitter. I love using it for fun just for a few minutes or to get help with genshin builds or teams BUT I have seen some pretty gross stuff on here. Nothing too, too bad, but not appropriate at all. Insane fanart of mostly female characters kissing, in weird outfits, saying really crude stuff and more. Like just posted in the open with no consequences. It makes me so uncomfortable. The app is 12+ not 18+. Minors are on here and it’s seriously creepy the things people comment or write in posts. Its not that often I see it. But I shouldn’t see it at all. Especially posts that are months old and still gaining attention. Fix that please. Other than that great for hoyoverse fansss!

Strict rules for posting, they will permanently ban you for any mistakes. I really loved this app and community, up until I was permanently muted for theorizing about a future patch in Genshin Impact. I had gotten warnings twice for copyright infringement for using popular meme templates to make Genshin inspired memes (apparently you have to credit the person who originally made the template which is impossible) You only get two warnings and then you are banned for life, which is extremely disappointing. I still use the app even tho I’ve been muted permanently to check in, and have asked a few times in the past year that I’ve been muted if there is any way to appeal the decision, and never received a response. There is no clear way to speak with Mods, and the rules are not applied consistently as I constantly see people share the memes I made I was given a warning for or people using similar templates. As a social media app they should have a better explanation of rules and appeal system for warnings and being muted, with mods you can actually speak too. My suggestion is if you download this app, don’t post anything because you never know what might be against their extremely unclear and unstated rules.

Good App Assistance!. I really like the HoyoLab App! It’s got a lot of different things to assist players. There’s a Battle Chronicle that lets you check your character’s levels and gear from your phone, an interactive map, guides to track what materials you need to level up various characters, and lots of community discussions! It’s a super solid app and I have the widget on my phone so I can track my resin and check in status from my phone’s home screen. Really theres only a few minor cons I can mention - There’s a lot of menus, and sometimes it can be confusing to navigate through them and find what you’re looking for - The interactive map is probably only about 90ish% accurate. I fairly often find chests and whatnot that are not marked on the map. Still super helpful though. - You can’t check specific stats for your characters. In a game that really stresses the importance of paying attention to the stats of your characters, it would be nice to be able to see the specific numbers and percents on the app. Right now you can only broadly check their gear, like what weapon they have and what artifact sets that have. I have to actually log on to Genshin if I want to check anything specific.

Issues with loading…. Overall I love this app. I constantly use the tool options, and I appreciate it essentially being a social media platform dedicated to HoYoverse games. However, about 50% of the time, images from other peoples posts will not load. About 70% of the time completely closing out the app and reopening it will solve the issue, but unless you remember to like whatever you were trying to look at, you will not be able to easily find it again. I do not have this issue with any other social media app I use (except tumblr, but well, it’s tumblr 😆, even there it happens less often).

The iPadOS version of the app needs major updates ASAP! (Please fill the screen of the iPad! ). - Features necessary for some of the events don’t work! (in the iPad app.) - Some stuff is so zoomed out is impossible to read the text on screen! - I’ve been waiting for the devs to finally fix the iPadOS app so that it actually fills the screen. It’s been well over 3 years at this point! - Unfortunately, a lot, and I do mean a LOT of users are either unhinged psychopaths, puritans or straight up idiots. (For example, when resin was increased to 200 (it should have been 240) I foresaw that there was going to be a problem with how slow the recharges. When I made other players aware of this problem, I was told to "shut up". Now here we are, having to wait over 26 1/2 hours for it to fully recharge.) - recently the customer service in the feedback section went from really bad, but pretty fast to decent but really slow. The feedback button doesn’t even work on the iPad app anymore! Somehow, the screen size problem got even worse on the iPadOS 26 update!

Love the app. I truly love the app, and all the reward functions, and how it looks, everything. However im encountering a problem. For some reason, It seems that all my data on my American server isn’t there. The UID for my American server is different than the one the HoYoLAB app is suggesting. I am using the email that I’ve used, and I don’t have any other emails that I use for Genshin. And I did try linking my American server, however that didn’t work. I’m not sure if this is a me problem, that can be solved in a few minutes or if this is an actual issue that others have experienced. Im sure if there was a function where you can log on using your email AND UID, then this wouldn’t be an issue. But besides that this is a wonderful app, that has a lot of functions, like the interactive map, and the daily log in.

Scaryyy. So about last month I was playing genshin and decided “oh I should log into hoyolab with my account!” And that was my first time. Anyways I decided to do it but I had a bit of a struggle with having to make hoyolab accounts but after it was easy. I Sign in and I’m happy! But then disaster… I go to genshin and it logged me out. I’m not talking about the screen that happens when you enter genshin after already playing. I’m talking about the log in screen where you need to enter your gmail. Idk maybe that’s normal but I try and try and it won’t work… after a while of panicking because I had already made it to Fontaine I decided to delete hoyolab and try again. Boom it works. Sorry if you couldn’t understand!

Interactive map. The interactive map is so nice for me to use to mark down what I have had collected. I found a few spin crystals I was missing not to mention one of the quest items for Fontaine. The only thing I dislike is that despite being able to add your pins from your in game map by your UID, I wish it to auto mark what you have collected. Like you can manually turn that on in the map settings. That way for the ones like me who are missing 1% or a few items like keys for a puzzle you don’t have to look at all of the locations to find the one you have missed.

The community rules are stupid sometimes (No offense). One of my post have been deleted because of copyright reasons. But I didn’t know that the original creator or whoever made it didn’t repost. They don’t even give you a warning text saying “Hey, this is against the copyright rules, so may you please take it down?” But NOPE! They just take it down saying it’s a violation. And if you get enough of these, you get temporary banned for like a week or two. And sometimes posts down, even if the creator allows repost. I think they should have these little notes instead of just taking the post down directly because no one is going to read through a over 1,000 words! And apparently sometimes the rules change, and sometimes the changes are so small and no one‘s gonna realize so they get violated apparently. You can use this app if you want, but just don’t post because there’s a chance it’s going to get taken down because of a rule, you’re most likely not aware of

Frankenstein App. Logs out constantly. Uninteresting.. I rarely uninstall an app after giving it this much attention and trial and error. This app has clearly been put together and pasted on top of over and over and over and has no sense of purpose or self. After hours of correcting my logins getting it linked to the correct account on my iPhone (there were 3 accounts for Star Rail), I finally got to check in once or twice for the daily login, which was not useful anyway. Coming back a week later I had already been logged out and it couldn’t find me. Also, anytime you want to update any information you have to do a login and security check which is tiny on the phone and shockingly bad unreadable on something like the ROG Ally. I literally am giving up because it’s not worth the effort. I’ll miss out on an interesting contents and meaningless rewards. I’m OK with it.

Terrible for socializing. The app is great for getting your daily check-ins and updates, but there are some things that make it terrible: 1. Posts from months ago appear on your feed before recent ones do (this negatively affects you trying to redeem codes). 2. If you try to socialize with people, you better watch what you say. Anything that sounds like mimor leaks (that everyone talks about) will make you muted for who knows how long. And if your appeal isn’t good enough, they reject it and mute you. They don’t tell you how long you’ll be muted. And the justification that people say is “I got permission to discuss leaks.” What kind of justification is that?! If people are allowed to post a discussion about a leak, you should expect people will respond with leaks in order to contribute to this DISCUSSION. The admins/moderators are absolutely terrible when it comes to this (in both hoyolab AND discord). I’m sure they would even do it on X and Facebook if they could. ————————— Long story short: daily check-ins are reliable on this app, everything else it has to offer is garbage. The admins and moderators need to be more open-minded. They need to be willing to get both sides of the story instead of “you mentioned a minor leak, mute. You made an appeal? Rejected, and you are forever muted.”

Should make another servers. Honestly it’s a great app and all, but HOYOVERSE should make another server/app for adults that’s trying to enjoy the community without annoying brat’s basically whining about everything. Reason: why?, the Genshin/honkai community is literally one of the most toxic community I’ve ever seen, and the majority of them are literal kids or some deadbeat that has nothing else better to do then complain about pixels hurting their feelings, or making up some of the most diabolical ships ever known to men. Ps: i would pay $20 a month if Hoyoverse do make another App/server for actual adults just trying to enjoy the game, { with actual age restrictions }

It’s a good app but im having some problems... I use this app a lot to post some of my art work and just check out how some other people are doing on their pulls and opinions about a certain character or they’re art as well, and I sadly deleted it for a little while and then right after I redownloaded it, I couldn’t really post images from my album/library but I could before, and I don’t know why. It’s not even showing up and all that’s appearing is the Camera option even though I need album. If someone could help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated!!

Log in options for HoYoLAB. HoYoLAB is indeed a great idea and I appreciate that hoyoverse decided to make an app full of tools people can use to help players with collectibles, finding new builds, etc, but I myself cannot use it that often due to the fact my account. My genshin account is on my Apple login (the one I currently using) and while I do have a hsr acc on Apple too, my main hsr acc is actually connected to my Game Center acc, which isn’t an option on HoYoLAB. I miss so many free jades because they all go to my old hsr acc and it really disappoints me. I’m not asking for much, I’m just asking for Game Center to be an option to log into HoYoLAB and then I’ll be happy

Actually fixed my largest gripe. Previously the app had been rather hostile to users, lowering the check-in feature constantly so that it would interrupt muscle memory and require extra clicks as it moved into the “more” menu. They seem to have fixed that, surprisingly. Kudos. There remain some annoyances, like the pop-up ads at the beginning and the inability to turn off the annoying notifications and just have check-in ones, but they’re relatively minor compared to the shifting buttons.

This is a dumpster fire. I rejoined hoyolab to reconnect with friends and get guides on my characters for builds, But once I rejoined people were less then inviting. You scroll down not even 2 posts later there is a person making homophobic comments on a post of a person shipping someone characters, Another post a person had called out another user for mass take downs and flagging posts of people shipping characters together because “the user thinks being gay is wrong”. Another user was being called racist because they edited the character Wanderer to be black, Hoyolab isn’t a place to love hoyo games but a place more like Twitter/X where all you see is chaos and fire. Don’t even get me started on how peoples posts are lewd beyond belief but only the bare minimum is covered to not be flagged and removed, how peoples posts are being taken down if they are LGBT or The person is black or even if it’s nice fanart. It’s all being taken down like a child who is jealous, Who wants to be center of attention and always right.

great app! here’s an overall:. i love the idea of having a separate app where all game plays can communicate easily. most communities ive been in, in the past, haven’t done this, and ive found myself confused more than once. hoyolab gives me the ability to communicate, argue, and connect with any mihoyo consumer/player with the click of a button. there are different types of categories for each post, therefore showing said post to a community who likes them. extremely useful feature. there are sub categories that are used to simplify the process, and ideally, help determine what shows up onto your homepage along with tags. tags are pretty basic, every app as them (places like twitter, instagram, etc.) and the system is extremely similar. now, don’t make the mistake of using # before desired tag, because… well, you’re not supposed to do that. of course, i did that in the beginning… speaking of mistakes, let’s speak of bugs—the reason im giving this app 4 stars instead of 5. bugs aren’t all that common, but they do occur. form what ive experienced, sometimes it accidentally posts your comment/posts multiple times, which is extremely inconvenient. images added to posts occasionally take forever to upload (again, not frequent, but enough to be noticeable), and so on. continuing, there are many useful posts out there, whether it’s treasure chest locations for hsr or silk flower locations in liyue, it has it all. builds for pulled characters are also included, and are extremely helpful. with the new release of hsr, it’s exciting to see the community grow. i, for one, have never experienced a whole fandom building and be included in the process, and yet, here i am. im excited for future development of hoyolab and any other mihoyo-produced apps generally, and hopefully, our communities will continue to strive.

You need to fix this.. I’m giving it a high rating so that this can be seen, but I really want to give this a rating of 3 stars. I am unable to claim the daily check-in rewards on my Honkai Star Rail account. My HoYoLAB log in information is the exact same as my Honkai Star Rail log in, and yet I keep getting the message “Unable to find character data for the current account. Please create a character in game first, or try again using another account.” I shouldn’t have to use another account that doesn’t even exist, it should just automatically send the daily check-in rewards to my game. Others seem to have this problem too and apparently extra HoYoLAB accounts have been made with the same log in info, messing things up. Please fix your app

I love this, a great way to stay up to date with the game.. This is amazing, I know how full my resin is and how much I’ve made from my teapot without logging on. It makes daily log in very easy and has a lot of resources that are super helpful. Only thing that I would like to see integrated is a character line up, similar to in game character archive where it displays all the characters highlighting the ones you have, and also showing your characters current stats, such as level, weapon and artifacts. This would be super useful to just have on hand for whenever you need it.

App is fine, some of the people are very much not. I guess this is probably how it is for most social media type apps, but the community feels especially toxic here on HoYoLAB. There's lots of non-productive arguments that just devolve into insults. Also, I really wish they would stop changing the companionship screen. The original[? not sure if it's actually the original one, but the first one I remember since I joined the app] one where the heart was in a different place in the screen each day / character was fun, I liked that one the best. Being able to collect the daily rewards for all of the games I play in one place / app is nice, however. I kind of hate that it censors so many words though, even ones that aren't really cuss words, like "idiot" or "boob." I wish they would make it so it's optional for each player to have them censored on their end. So like, I could write "idiot" and it not be censored for me / other people who turn the filter off, but it would still be censored for those who choose to keep the filter on. I don't know, just my thoughts. Overall, decent enough app, especially for a company that specializes in games rather than social media platforms.

The game is cool, it’s just the community.. I don’t like socializing with most people who play Genshin because they always turn out weird. I don’t know what it is with these people calling fictional characters “daddy” or “ mommy” but it’s really freakish and just makes you look weird. Don’t get me wrong the characters are really cool but seriously the fandom ruins the game for me ( especially all the ships. Genshin players can’t go a day without shipping the worst ship ever) not hating on the people who made the game it’s really amazing but I feel like the community needs some common sense slapped into them. Maybe you know, take a stroll, roll in some grass, spend more time outside of the Genshin impact wormhole. Really what I’m saying is the community needs to improve itself.

Great Idea! Some bugs here and there, and some suggestions :). Overall, the app is pretty cool. You have most of the Mihoyo games put in this app to check out. Instead of having to take a look at tons of different social media accounts, you can simply go to the app to take care of things. Before I start with the criticisms, none of this is against Mihoyo as a company, I’m sticking with just the app itself because that’s what I’m rating. The app can be occasionally laggy and the interface is a little confusing at first (not knowing what is what, where to go, etc.). It’s a little weird looking on the iPad, however I can’t say the same for phone since I don’t use one. Suggestion time? Oh yes it is! I believe on the app we should have a top up center for each game. I would love to buy some more Genesis crystals or welkin, however credit card is a little weird on pc and I unfortunately don’t have enough storage to download the Genshin app to use my Apple account. Therefore, a top up center would be extremely convenient and helpful. Some other nice additions would be countdowns to new updates, events, and banners. I think it’d be pretty cool to be able to see something like that so that most people won’t have to be doing the math to figure out when things are ending and when things are coming.

Annoying. Notifications are Overwhelming.. The only notifications i have turned on in the app is the daily check in notification. However, the app has the audacity to send me all of its other updates for various things, and it’s very annoying. The settings for the notifications don’t work, despite me checking it multiple times. My phone is being bombarded with constant irrelevant advertisements. If you download this app, turn off notifications. This isn’t a very user-friendly setting. Otherwise, it does what it’s meant to do.

A mix of good and bad. I absolutely adore HSR. I liked GI for a while but haven’t played it in months. I tried HI3 for just a month or so many years ago. I haven’t gotten into any other Hoyoverse games yet. But, I’m interested, mostly based on their stellar storytelling and audio/video quality. Hoyolab gives you a portal into all of their games. Their two biggest (GI and HSR) give you some tools and extras (log in bonuses, a widget you can put on your phone, a map, some web-like events). Unfortunately, they aren’t very useful. The map is pretty bad and does not allow you to mark off things that you have found (unlike every other 3rd party map currently out there). The main portion of the app is a Facebook-like comment/post section (separated by game) where you can talk and ask questions about the game(s). There are stickers, emoji, pokes, follows, guides, etc. It works pretty well, though just searching the internet normally will get you your answers faster. The biggest problem, as always, is Hoyoverse’s insistence that no other device other than a phone will ever want to use their apps or games. They have some PC clients now (which are in a rough state), but don’t expect anything like that for this app. It is UNUSABLE on an iPad or on a big computer monitor. They force the aspect ratio to stay the same, and frequently the app on a larger screen will be much smaller in absolute terms compared to a smaller phone screen. Even if it is the same size (or bigger even), because it is not on a phone, the resolution is awful and it is difficult to even read text. My years old iPhone 8 Plus can use this app better than an M1 iPad Pro or a desktop PC. Oh well.

App not optimized for iPads. Don’t get me wrong this is a great app and I’ve been using it on my main iOS account for quite some time but on my phone. I recently got an iPad and tried to use it to use the teyvat interactive map. I was very disappointed as the app displays as if it’s a mobile app and not taking up even half the screen in size so everything is small and looks as though this is truly only an app designed for phones. This breaks my heart as when I try to use chrome or safari to run the teyvat interactive map it has this annoying popup that can’t be disabled telling you to open the hoyolab app which as I described doesn’t work. If you request desktop site then when you tap icons they don’t display the information like marking the pins to remove them and the general description, there’s just a little x that can’t be pressed. This is in landscape mode which obviously would make sense as a laptop/phone replacement. In portrait mode it works fine but is there really any point in using a map in portrait mode as opposed to landscape? I personally don’t think so. Fix the app for iPad users or fix the fact that we can’t close the hoyolab popup that appears when you use a browser. I don’t know what y’all expect with this very very poor attention to detail. Will remove negative rating once addressed because this truly is a phenomenal app.

Not a Safe App for its Userbase. This application has no clear and meaningful moderation, leading to users of color being exposed to constant racist harassment and minors constantly exposed to sexual content. Users of color cannot, for example, post pictures of themselves in cosplay without receiving dehumanizing comments full of racist slurs and insults. In addition, minor users constantly are exposed to sexual comments. There is no good way to report these situations and they never appear resolved. You can only report comments for being “offensive” or “inappropriate” rather than hateful and discriminatory or putting children at risk of harm. Offending users and comments do not appear to get removed or banned. As a result, HoYoLab has become near impossible for me and many others to use safely. I have made very few posts, and do not look at the notifications from them. I have no desire to interact with other users. On the daily, I really only use this app for the daily log in rewards for Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. However, that is becoming increasingly not worth it, and I am considering deleting the app entirely.

Gamer-friendly App. The app is not loaded with so much information. It’s the perfect App for the players that use ‘Interactive Map’ in where you can farm for resources by choice. Another Notable advantage is how the app is basically a social media platform specialized for Genshin Impact updates, informing you with a lot of stuff if you want to or you can just mute it if it bothers you.

Honest review. HoYoLAB is good for finding memes, lore drops and fun events to win in game rewards they even have an anonymous system called BottleMi where you can ask questions, for feedback or tell them about your problems. You unlock character banners and frames to decorate your profile to your liking. Also a good place to meet people that also like the same topics with fun widgets and stickers 5 stars.

Horrible reporting/muting system.. I was wrongly muted for 7 days because of “leaking information” even though and speculation I have done was about INGAME CONTENT. hoyoverse is continually a lazy company when it comes to things like this and they need to do a complete overhaul on the reporting/muting system and make it so that people are not wrongly banned from interacting with and posting about things they enjoy.

No iPad scaling. One of the most requested suggestions and yet it’s being ignored instead more bloat gets implemented into the app. Feels almost like AliExpress app. Lots of popup when opening the app, mini pop ups around the edge while browsing the app. All of these yet still no iPad scaling.

IT TAKES YOUR PHOTO!. The app literally takes a photo of you when you open it! When I was in a dark place and opened the app the screen would flash white to light up your face, it doesn’t do this if you are already in a lit up area! I tried this out multiple times.

Bad security and Bad customer service. My account was hacked and I didn’t even get notified and it took me almost 6 months and i still wasn’t be able to recover my account. I wasn’t be able to submit the recovery form at all And the customer service respond is so bad and take a really long time to respond . In other game we could contact the customer service more easily in live chat . This company only focuses on game development but the security issues is so bad. I regret spending my 4 years and lot of money in this game. What a shame

Came for the login bonuses. Left after it turned to an AI art disaster.. The companion features for mihoyo games are nice to avoid having to open the games. The community posts were ok until they devolved to AI Art and character “redesigns.” Any creative talent is buried under AI junk, lewding, and treating characters as OCs. Some of these posts could be construed as the community wanting conversation, diversity and representation, but sooo many are just trashy “type 3 words make big booba pic and share” posts, and that’s not worth being on my phone.

Feels way more complicated than it needs to be. I really would love an alternative to Twitter for news and such but this app just feels too complicated and unclear. I think if it was more clear the complexity would be easier to manage. Idk how many times I’ve tried following instructions to add a widget without success. Also would be great to have a clearer list of codes that are available for free items. I’ll continue to use it for the check in because that’s easy enough to do and find now that I understand where it is. I’d use it more if it was easy for the things I want to use it for. It’s just feels like too much for the time I want to spend needing to learn it.

Interactive map missing functions. The app is alright but you’re supposed to be able to make routes in the so called interactive map but it won’t let you plus if it were interactive then why not let it detect what oculi you’ve gotten or other stuff like regional stuff tldn needs heavy improvement

Just a suggestion if feasible. The interactive map is pretty useful! It would have been really powerful and convenient if it synced with the game map (similar to the abyss and achievement stats) or at least some portions of it like only the anemo, dendroculus etc. I keep putting off exploration in game because I’d like to update the map if I collected the elemental culus or not and most of the time im too lazy and it feels like it requires alot of mental effort and cognitive resources which disrupts the flow and immersion of exploration in-game. The reason i like to record it in the map is because in the past I wasted alot of time going to places I have before just to see if the elemental culus is there and i don’t want to do that again. Perhaps only syncing the culus would be enough?

Hoyoverse version of Twitter. Sad because this app had potential, but as others have stated its low moderation has turned it into a horrendous mess to say the least. Recently, it seems that people in comments can only be toxic, rude, discriminatory, argumentative and just vile. It’s like Twitter if Twitter was 10 times worse and was based on Hoyoverse games. If you want to bring this app back to a better state where it’s a good platform for Hoyoverse game players to communicate and have fun, please invest in better moderation and take reports more seriously!

Star Rail Widget doesn’t show up. Only reason I wanted to download this app is because they added widgets for star rail. I download it and there aren’t any options at all anywhere for star rail widgets, only genshin a game I don’t even play. Don’t download this app they don’t even properly veg there app versions before release.

Unable to change genshin account to main on HoYoLAB. Overall not helpful. I mainly gave it one star in hopes that it would get attention from people actually in charge of the app, it’s helpful for the most part (genshin player) but to be honest I wanted to be able to cross reference how different weapons and peoples affected each other, like what different weapons do to a character damage while being affected buy the other team members talents (ex: when in Bennetts circle using the your animo burst when you have sucrose on your team your damage will be:#####) obviously not said like that but you can do a full team weapon and artifact damage Calculator

So much ai garbage. People steal each other’s art and it gets taken down when the original artists post it for copyright reasons??? This is one of the worst communities I’ve ever seen and it forces you to watch the dumb things people post whenever you open this app

Unmoderated, community is bad now. Full of racist, homophobic people due to inadequate moderation. Posts that include leaks of your games even stay up for multiple days and even months, when just a while ago, HoYoLab used to immediately act on every report. Please get better moderation!

And secondly the verification code does NOT expire in 30 minutes, that’s a big fat lie. It expires faster than that. Please, do you think you could do something? Great but too much stolen art. The application itself is great but the problem is more about the one who use it. Art meme and other thing being stolen some credit but the other literally say: Don’t repost even with credit. And also there’s some inappropriate content. I report people but there’s isn’t any changes… But the original person who made art and même are real talented and funny!

Great but lacking. I really only made an account for daily check in rewards and the interactive map for Genshin but 1) notifications don’t work 2) I can’t enable the floating map on my phone so I have to either switch back and forth between apps or look at my old phone 3) the network rarely connects. So many times I’ve opened the app only to have network error despite having full internet and data. Sometimes I’ll be scroll and click on a post but boom “network error”

Amazing App!. I love how they made their own Interactive Map so that you can find things easier. Even though their are many other maps, I think this one is the most efficient one. I also love that you can see other fan art and funny memes on this app! If you play Genshin Impact, then I would definitely recommend this app to make things a lot easier!

Love the app but has problems. In my opinion, I love HoYoLAB a lot! It helped me out ever since I started playing Genshin Impact (a game created by them). HoYo has daily check-ins, maps, toolbox, and character builds. This is very helpful especially for new people. The problem is, is that you delete posts that people have actually created. I created this one post that went really well! When I log into HoYoLAB, I see that my post got deleted. It broke me seeing that my post got erased and I felt heartbroken. Please HoYo, try not to delete posts that people actually made.👍👍

I can’t log in :(. I love Genshin Impact and I get this app to go with it but I can’t log in with my account because it is through apple Game Center I thought it would work because I could log into Genshin with this account but I can’t log into this app and because of this I can’t redeem codes :( I would greatly appreciate it if I could log in with my account but I know this is a big ask. Hostile Environment. I’m a huge Genshin fan and I downloaded this app to make it easier to collect daily check in rewards/do web events and maybe check out some cool fan content too. However, the moment you scroll even a bit, you are immediately bombarded with racist/homophobic content. It’s truly vile. It’s clear to see, too, that most of this is being posted by very young children who have very little understanding about or respect for other people or the world around them. This is definitely one of the darker corners of the Hoyo fandom. Don’t download if you want to preserve your sanity.

Amazing App :D. First off, I would just like to say that there are lots of amazing features and great people on this platform. It’s not that this app is perfect, because it isn’t. The tevyat interactive map is really cool, and the check in features are super nice. I sometimes post my art on this app, and sometimes there are people who like my art. I don’t expect anything to become really popular, and that’s why I come back to this app often.

Works on phone. Ipad not so much. There are many tools on here that players can use in genshin impact and various other games made by the developers. However, even though it works on my phone, i would like the option to use it on my ipad pro as well. When I load it, the app shows up in a 3in screen with a large black border. I can touch stuff but the app needs adjusting to accommodate different screen sizes.

Great however. While playing I love using the interactive maps for both genshin and honkai star rail, but the feature I love about the genshin interactive map is that it allows users to mark off/darkens the chests/whatever players need off of the map if it’s already been collected; this is not a feature on the honkai star rail interactive map and I feel as though it should be since it allows users to know which areas they don’t need to revisit

Pretty good. Big problem though.. I think this is a very good app to bring all of the Hoyoverse fandoms together, (honkai, genshin, ToT, hsr, etc.) and it has a great layout so you can actually see what you want to see. It’s very friendly too. But the problem is bots. Hoyoverse, I genuinely stopped posting on here because I ALWAYS get bots on my post and I don’t want my viewers to fall for them. So I just stopped posting now bc I always have to delete them like a day later. This happens to so many people. Please get better securuity.

Great for collecting check-ins, won’t let me apply themed backgrounds. I saved for the Furina-themed background, but it unfortunately won’t let me apply it. When I try to, it sends me to my browser, then tells me I need to be in the app. When I try going back to the app, it sends me to the browser again. It’s not that big of a deal, but it’s pretty frustrating.

Great help. I really enjoy using this because before I knew about this I missed out on a ton of information about characters and game info and even rewards but recently someone close to me recommended this app and it’s like a whole new world it so easy to use and there’s no adds so even better I think of this app as a guide.

Widget stopped working. The widgets have stopped working on my iOS phone (which is up to date). Randomly they turned black and then white. I’ve tried removing and re-adding them and it does nothing. Not sure why. I’m missing having Kazuha’s cute face on my screen Also it’s hard to find official fanart event pages in the app, which is annoying. Most of the official event pages are hard to find. I shouldn’t have to use a third party search engine to find the official fanart contest details

A few things.... This is a very helpful app! A nice shortcut for the daily check in, and the interactive map. However, I keep getting an error that says my network is not working even though it works fine. I refresh it over and over again, but it still is not working. It would also be mice if there was a way to refresh the fanart, so it’s not the same ones.

This is an amazing app but... The app is amazing I can see all the new updates in Genshin and I can use the interactive map and claim my check ins right from an app! But the thing is it’s having frequent network errors because it says “network error” when I have good WiFi and my other apps work. I also love to post because so many people like my work! (Artwork) also can you please add dark mode? Thanks!

Keep on having network error when using WiFi. I have used this app for a while as a genshin impact player. Recently I encountered the network error issue (which showing loading failure on the screen). Simply reinstall wouldn’t help, and I’m using the most updated version. But when my phone disconnects with WiFi, it works just fine. Wish the developers can fix the bugs ASAP.

Idea time boys. So I’m enjoying this app so far, but I only really use it for one thing. The Teyvat interactive map. Now, I love how I can mark off my progress as I go, but I wish there was a feature that would automatically link my character’s in game progress to the map. Just saying this because I’m not in the mood to re-explore dragonspine just to find out what few chests I have missed…

Lots of Helpful Genshin Tools!. This app is nearly a must have companion for Genshin players. It tells you what characters you’ve previously used in the spiral abyss, it has an interactive map, and now it has a great widget that tells you your resin amount! Definitely worth getting for Genshin even if you don’t post things on the community side of the app.

decent start. Needs a bit of tweaking in areas. I was hoping this would actually give daily reminders for check ins but it does not. Thankfully it’s on my main Home Screen so when I see it I remember to do it. But it would be nice to have a notification with a reminder just in case. Otherwise, easy to navigate and semi user friendly. Sticks in places for me from time to time but it’s doable. Very happy this now exists because never been able to get daily check in awards until now.

New companionship feature cold and unwelcoming. There used to be a cute companionship feature where you can just pop in and leave a companionship heart,,, they took it away and now the new features are very cold and unfriendly. It’s such a small thing but I really liked it since honkai star rail lacked a companionship feature unlike Genshin, which had one. They also took away the alarm feature. One of the cutest incentives to download the app is botched and sad now. Forums still work but it looks like they don’t look at feed back from the forum users.

The online and web interaction isn’t very good. There are times where they have web events on this app exclusive to the app but oftentimes these are dependent on your connection speed on the internet which means bad internet bad experience. I’m often ignoring these events because of how laggy they are or how unresponsive they become which is unfortunate because these events give you in-game rewards but it only rewards those who use bots to fill the event to obtain more primos or those who pay more for significantly faster internet. My internet is OK, I stay under 100ms ping but I’m still not able to see les sly interact with web events such as the Hoyo Quiz.

battle chronicles great in concept. the primary reason i use this app is the official genshin interactive map, but there are definitely flaws with other related features. for one in the ascension calculator it doesnt use your in game data to tell you how much more you actually need. and this app clearly does scan the data shown through the resin and expedition status. also i use this on my ipad a lot while i play on my phone since i dont have a useable pc for genshin. and it isnt formatted to adapt to the ipad when it absolutely should. its just weird that an app in this day and age would not be correctly formatted. i would rate it five stars if it weren’t for these things. everything else i dont really use the app for.

Okay, but be warned. The in-game rewards and tools are great! I’ve gotten so many freemos and the interactive map is a lifesaver. But the more social aspect? Yeah, no. It’s often very unsettling and there’s this feeling of toxicity— Discourse, sexualizing minors, and overall just weird interactions are EXTREMELY common. I don’t recommend the community stuff if you’re not in a place to handle harsh fandom discourse. But if you play genshin, the in-game benefits are totally worth a few clicks to check in daily lol.

No Game Center Option. (Rated five star so that people could see this.) So, while scrolling through the app store in my iPad, I found this app, I saw free rewards and knew I had to get it for Honkai: Star Rail. So it asked me to log in after I saw it and there was Apple, Facebook, and Twitter. But no Game Center. I logged into HSR with Game Center, and I used my email for Game Center and it says my account “doesn’t exist”. If HOYOVERSE is reading right now, please fix this. Thank you in advance.

Rancid. People are openly homophobic, transphobic, racist, etc. it feels like there is no moderation at all because of the vast amount of it that is left alone. If you want to claim check-in rewards, you are bound to see story spoilers from people’s featured posts taking up most of the screen. Even official notifications will end up spoiling something not even a week before a new version has been released. There’s so much reposting of art even when there is a watermark directly on the art saying “DO NOT REPOST,” or posting of AI art tagged as things like “fanart made by me” or the official fanart tag so it clogs up actually related posts. Nobody has common sense on here.

We need a translator. This social media app is amazing! Also including every Hoyo games is very smart! But one suggestion though. I really need a translator for posts and messages. I can’t understand different languages by the way. So, can you please add a translator to understand people’s or profiles different languages please?

Notifications are Bugged. I got this for the daily login and turned off all the notifications however despite that it continues to give me notifications for events and updates. Even when I turn them on to READ the notification the new notif icon both in the app and outside of it remains. So I am just stuck with permanent notifications regardless of the setting and nothing I do makes them go away. Even uninstalled and reintsalled once, the notifications were still there! Would much prefer if the daily login was in the game itself like other reasonable games (FEH, LLSIF, etc).

Super helpful, but it keeps crashing. Love the app, I always forgot to do my check in and now I do it everyday. Lately though, when I open the app it either crashes immediately or freezes and then crashes. I’m not sure if this is a new bug with the update or it’s a hardware issue, however I did try turning my phone completely off and back on, and it’s still crashing. If anyone knows a fix, please let me know.

Amazing, just a small problem. So I’ve had this app for a while, and it’s great. Allows fans to interact and share cool stuff like artwork. One problem though, is that I got Genshin Impact before the app, and have no idea how to link my Genshin account to my HoYoLAB account, which really stinks because I really want to be able to use daily check in and stuff. The app itself is awesome, just hoping this gets solved in the future. Thank you for the great games!

Love it be could be improved. I love absolutely everything about this app I just which that the map of teyvat would sync with for example the electroculus I have found in the game that way I can find which ones I’m still missing instea dof having to look for hours not knowing which one i didn’t collect. If the map could sync with the game data it be a lot easier

Good. When i logged into hoyolab after a long time it asked for my birth year and month which I did but it wouldn’t let me login since im not an adult so minors aren’t allowed to be on hoyolab? I thought it was for teens but I guess not and it also like said that it delete all my data from hoyolab like hrs or genshin impact I never had this problem before but it’s like a terrible feature for the age thing almost every person at any age play hoyoveres games and use hoyolab for primos or anything like that

Colorist games. I like Hoyo games and the stories Genshin + HSR tells. But this company has a history of whitewashing POC characters in their games. Natlan is the most egregious example with cultures based on Latin America and Africa, but the characters from that region are pale. This does not accurately represent the people from these real regions. Natlan has also mixed and matched an amalgamation of cultures to single characters, which sends a message that these cultures are a monolith. For a company that advertises itself as a global game, it is FAILING in appealing to the people and cultures it tries to represent. Diversity is necessary for a successful GLOBAL game. I will no longer be spending money on any Hoyo game unless this issue is fixed. Represent the people of these cultures properly. #FixNatlan

Good app, but not the users. I used to have this app, and I mostly used it for check in prizes and the message bottle things, but other than that, the people on this app are literally so toxic and for what? I’ve witnessed fat shaming and people just degrading others looks and appearances in general… and things like that made the community unbearable. The people in charge of this app should be giving these kind of users warnings and strikes for this behavior.

Not compatible with iPad. Currently the app only supports phone resolution so opening it up on iPad just gives you a small screen that can be scaled up; not the best. The widgets are very handy though. The mobile app is currently the only way you can access the hoyolab Companionship feature, but it’s a big buggy because it directs you to the website which they took out

I quite enjoy this. No complaints it’s easy to use, you get all the new info, and can get the livestream promo codes, love the community and the way you can mark your art and stuff only thing I wish they’d add is a messaging feature. My only question is if they use images to train Ai I doubt they do but until I know that’s why it’s only 4 stars other than that 4 and half stars

Silly app stupid. This dumb app is a great app to have fun but it’s also really dumb cause I can’t ducking log in and I’ve done password resets and dumb email stuff and it still won’t let me in and the customer service doesn’t listen because they are biased against people who play Genshin Impact versus Honkai Star rail and its restarted cousins. Honestly, Wuthering Waves on top cause now I’m blocked from my account after two many wrong attempts of trying to get into MY account. I’m voting Wuthering Waves for best game of the year or whatever because Hoyoverse SEGREGATES against Genshin players and doesn’t give us QUALITY updates. Because MiHoYo is part of that, I am venting on this app review.

Very buggy. Half the time I get a “network error” that won’t load any pages, but now there’s a massive bug with the best feature: tracking Resin. Battle Chronicler asks if I want to enable real time notes (I did this weeks ago successfully), but clicking the “Enable” button does nothing now. Clicking the “Don’t Enable” button ironically works… Tried changing settings manually, clearing cache, deleting/reinstalling the app, and restarting my iPhone: nothing works. Best feature in this app and it’s blocked behind a bug.

Bugs. like ALL the time. it’s great when it works but half the time it won’t load upon open or i’ll try to participate in web events (genshin specifically) and the cinematic intros loop repeatedly to the point where i have to close the whole app and log in again. but never actually get to participate for the rewards. love getting my daily log in gift and news etc and no hate to the company or games etc it’s just the functions never seem to work quite right

New Launch :3. Congrats to mihoyo on the successful launch of the new hoYoLab App!!! (//o/^/o//)* i’ve been hoping for an official, mihoyo made app to track progress that comes with event reminders and a more comprehensive interactive map for awhile. I’ve been playing genshin and honkai for awhile, being level 50+ on both its really nice to have another resource for when i get stuck or to remind me of events coming :)

Amazing. This app is really good for artists who want to share their art. I like this app because you can choose what game you want to talk about and it shows you only the most interesting topics, crafts, arts, and lots of other stuff too. Personally I like posting my art on HoYoLAB because it’s easy to use. The app is also very easy to navigate and so far I haven’t had any trouble finding the stuff I’m interested in or need.

Racist company. This company has proved time and time again that they are racist and colorist. Whitewashing history, real people, and gods is horrible. Taking peoples culture and white washing its people is horrible and yet they keep doing it. They have a character in Honkai impact who hates her dark skin, there’s a character in Star rail who’s skill names are just references to slavery. Penacony of star rail is based on the jazz age yet not one character of color. Newest genshin region Natlan is white washing culture again like it did with Sumeru. ZZZ has black face and only one poc playable character despite being based on hip hop and rnb. This is a pattern. I refuse to spend in any Hoyoverse game until these issues are fixed.

Useful and good app! (2nd try). Okay SO, hoyolab has helped me a lot with keeping track of my progress in game, as well as giving us free stuff for check in, (always broke so this is extra useful) and we also have special events, visually never ending guides for character building and material farming, and silly posts! (the 2nd best part:) Overall, very good -girlie

Major moderation problems. I (ChuuyaSimp❤️ on the app) have been receiving loads of hate and homophobic messages on the app. I even got told to kms because I just asked why a joke was funny. I have reported this over and over, and from what I can tell, they don’t do anything. The people saying the homophobic things have been repeat offenders based on their profiles and they just harass people on the app just because of their ships and because they ship LGBTQ+ ships. The ships aren’t even illegal or abusive. So if you do decide to get this app, just be safe and report anybody that says those things.

Great app, but... Great app! Good place to share images, art, and tutorials for things in game! There’s nothing i can find wrong with the app other than the fact that the daily login notifications do not work/are broken. I just think that it’d be nice if it’d be fixed, so i don’t have to try to remember to login everyday. It’s not a HUGE problem, but it’d nice if it was fixed. :)

True Tablet Compatibility. The game is awesome but this app desperately needs a tablet version of this app so everything isn’t squished into a 1/3 of the screen. I play this game on PS5 so there’s no other way for me to use the interactive map except for through this app but it’s abysmal with how small it is. Either give us console peeps away to use our interactive map in game or fix this app to fit a 10in tablet screen. You guys make way too much money for their to be an excuse to not fix the screen size for those of us who like to browse HoYoLAB on tablet 😕

Stuffed full of AI and sexual content. It’s useful for login rewards and online events but the rest of it is poorly moderated. Scrolling through the feed, looking at your homepage, going to a game tab, getting your login reward the app always tries showing you it’s popular content. The problem with this is that a bunch of the popular content is AI art and/or gratuitously sexualized art of characters from the games. When looking at the comments section on posts, a lot of people are oddly rude and combative. It really makes for a bad community.

I like it!. I like the app, especially the companionship system! The only thing I don’t exactly like about that is how the screen for the companionship system always changes. I really enjoyed when you would click for a heart or you hold down on the screen for a big heart! Now it’s just a thumbs up 🥲🥲 I feel the heart was really cute especially for companionship system! I hope the developers can bring it back, there are way too often changes for it 😢😢

Map is very useful. The thing I like most about this app is the teyvat interactive map because it’s actually really useful and helpful for marking certain items such as anemoculi, geoculi, electroculi, and crimson agate. Also you can use the map to mark ascension materials such as violet grass so what I’m trying to say is if you need any materials badly like I do you should use the interactive map

Okay social app. So first up, what is good: The app can be a social app It keeps track of the different hoyoverse games and links different tools The bad This app crashes frequently. The social aspect has no way to reorder the posts. what i mean with that is that you will be given a random assortment of posts through some algorithm it decides. This is particularly frustrating as you could see a post from someone a month ago and every time the app refreshes, it jumbles up the posts again. Leading it to be very frustrating to use to see people’s posts especially if the app crashed while you were in the middle of reading a post and its comments. You have no way of finding the post again unless you followed or commented on it.

Would be 5 stars if I could log in. The app stopped letting me log in, I enter my credentials and it just says “Analysing” for about 5 seconds then nothing. Just shows the login field. Click “login” again, same thing, again and again and again. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, exact same thing. I clicked on “Contact App Support” on the App Store, which opens a web page whose only option is to log in via the HoYoLAB app… which I cannot do. I used to be able to log in for the first couple weeks I found the app, about a week or so ago it just stopped working.
