Love this killer sudoku game. I am playing the sudoku game from guru smart, and today I noticed they released a new killer sudoku app, out of curiosity, I tried this new one, nice! The same simple UI and fluent gaming experience. I also love playing this one, challenging!

Too many ads. Literally after every game is a 45 second ad. Then every time you do anything in the game it’s another ad. Just super annoying.

Progress getting erased?. I really enjoy this game and don’t usually have problems. Recently the game has been erasing my progress on the 6 x 6 Hard. I’m on level 500 and the games has began erasing my completion on the first levels. Even when I redo the levels it won’t say I’ve completed it still, and at first it was only levels 1-2, but now it’s says I haven’t completed levels 1-7. It’s a little annoying as well as the game randomly opening the App Store repeatedly with different apps to download when I don’t click on ads. Other than that it’s an enjoyable game.

Glitches ruining experience. Along with the issues of having to play a puzzle more than once or losing your progress like is mentioned in other reviews, there is an issue where the screen freezes on a puzzle and locks your phone completely. It’s always happens when I’m listening to something with airpods, and the sound continues but the screen is locked and won’t turn off or even let you power cycle to restart your phone. Eventually it will power cycle on its own to restart, but until then your phone is useless and you can’t pause or stop the audio you’re playing.

Waste. Stupid puzzle is getting stuck on a level and wants me to repeat the same board over & over again. Not to mention it Shanghai’s my browser to open ads constantly. Not worth the download.

Love the game but it crashes my phone now. I’ve had the game for about 2 weeks. At first it worked great, but now every time I open the app it crashes my phone and I have to restart it. Definitely 5 starts for me if the game could open 😭

Ads ads ads. The only thing killer about this app is the amount of ads it throws in your face

Ads ruin the game. I have been enjoying the game for a while. The app was easy to use and I enjoyed having the occasional challenge available. However the recent ads being played are ridiculous and inappropriate. I’m looking to play sudoku not watch ads featuring explicit language, etc. I was hoping it was just a one time thing but since there is no way to restrict the ads that I could find I just deleted the app altogether.

Needs a couple things to be 5 stars. First, great game! The ‘hard’ levels are actually hard and challenging, which is perfect for waking up with my morning cup of coffee. And the ads between games are short which allows you to play on fairly quickly. 2 requests to make this a 5 star game. First please give the game a landscape orientation option. When I’m traveling this would allow me to set my iPad on a tray table and enjoy the game instead of holding it in my hand all the time. Second, please please please stop accepting banner ads that have movement! I don’t mind a banner ad at the bottom of my screen while I play, but lately there is a slots game you’re allowing to advertise and it demo rolls the slots every 2-3 seconds. The constant movement is incredibly distracting and causes my timed games to be much slower! Please make your banner ads static images. Those 2 things and thus becomes the absolute best version of killer sudoku in the App Store!

Buggy. If you go back to do daily challenges and hit November. It selects the day before. Makes it impossible to do all the challenges.

Mostly good. Game la very entertaining and captivating with the daily challenge and maps, but the excess of ads is ridiculous

Frustrating. I love the game and have no complaints about actual gameplay; however, the app itself wreaks havoc on my phone. Anytime it’s open, my phone starts to freeze. Every single time. The ads are incredibly annoying. I have to sit through several ads at various times throughout a game, before every game, and after every game. $15 to remove ads is a ridiculous price to play a game that’s free online with no ads. With the hassle of phone issues and a crazy number of ads, it’s just not worth it. There are better options out there.

Uninstalled after a long time. Been playing this version because the ads only came up upon completion, restarting, or to get hints or extra “try’s”. Recently, the ads started to automatically pop up mid-game and direct the focus to Safari with a suspicious FQDN (generic/random-prefix dot cloudfront) asking user to take a survey. This is a huge security risk and entirely unacceptable. I’ve uninstalled the app.

Cannot Play Previous Daily Games. I cannot access previous daily games since the new update? Why did you change it? Please change back so I can access past daily games.

Frustrated. I like this game, but when I updated the version, my history from the old version didn’t come with it. Old version interrupted you at least twice mid-game with adds. In a concentration/calculation game like this, that’s so annoying. Leave adds between games! Be able to carry history of your games between versions would be definite improvements!

Exactly what you’d expect. Game is fine but what wouldn’t give for a dark mode.

What’s going on with the app?. For some reason, the 4x4 puzzles seem to be stuck on #305. I know I’ve done more than that. What’s going on?

The app is good, but.... In some games there are several solutions, but the app considers only one of them correct.

Great Game. This is my favorite game. I probably spend too much time playing.

Fun game. Love the challenges that they come up with, on top of already having different difficulty levels

Notes are changed. I enjoy the game but there is a problem with the advanced notes feature. If I return to a partially completed game, the notes will not be the same as when I left. There will be numbers there that I had previously deleted. Same with getting a hint. I once made the mistake of getting one and it completely filled on all of the numbers on the notes wiping out the progress I had made. I have taken to photographing what the board looks like when I leave so I can return it to that state when I resume the game. There has to be a better way.

Great game but…... I like the game. I usually play before bed and I liked that I could go back to previous days in the month/year and do those puzzles too but with the update I can no longer do that😭

Latest update killed gameplay. Latest update: 2.6.0 killed the gameplay for me and makes taking notes so much more difficult the game is unplayable for me. I tried many different apps and although not perfect, this was the best until the latest update.

Game is as expected, poor data collection practices. The game runs and offers scaling difficulty. Spent a lot of time playing. However, the terms recently changed and the app collects a lot more data, including geo location, than it requires. Do not download if this is something you care about.

Can I get a refund?. Good game, but after paying for "no ads" I am still getting ads. Not as many but there are still places where you are required to watch ads. Not what I paid for!!!

Good game but one issue makes it no fun. Lately I’ll be entering my answer and even when it’s correct it tells me I’m wrong and I have to watch an add. So in order to finish the puzzle I have to watch an add after every box. Fix this and it’s 5 stars

Glitches in tournaments =constant redos. Really liked this game but if you start a tournament game and want to finish it later, it takes the board out of the tournament and counts it as a regular game. Several times I completed an expert level board to then have to re do the same board to get it to count. I end up having to take screenshots every time I leave in case it wipes it. I’m switching to another sudoku app

Some games are unsolvable. Mostly ok. But about 5% of the daily challenges have no logical way to solve. The hint will reveal a square but there is no way to find that square via logic. Needs quality control.

Progress lost. Love the game but one of the advertisements locks up my screen. When I exit and restart the game all my progress has been lost.

Greedy Greedy Greedy Subscription. I have been playing this game almost daily for over two years now. I have been thinking about going ad free but since it was $15 (for forever) I held off. Recently, every single time you pause the game or check another app/text you have to watch an ad to resume (no matter for how long it was paused). I opened the app today and decided to treat myself because the ads were so annoying and there is only a subscription ad-free option. I am not paying $2.99 a month for freaking sudoku ad free. This is greedy and I am finding a new app to use that doesn’t take advantage of their users. Not everything should be a subscription.

No dark mode. Game is amazing, settings are amazing, puzzles are amazing. Needs dark mode very badly.

Bugs in latest release. In the daily challenge you can no longer go back to incomplete challenges and continue to play them! Please reinstate this ability!

You can’t save. The game overall is good but you can’t save your spot so if you exit the app for more than 30 seconds you have to restart every single time. It is infuriating and seems like an easy fix

Pop ups. App is good but there’s a troublesome ad that opens a scammy-looking pop up in your default browser mid game. Get rid of it please.

Too many ads. They have increased the amount of ads. Hate that.

Slow. Even doing a 4x4 puzzle the game is often slow and laggy, not able to keep up with taps. I suspect it's something to do with the loads of ads the game is trying to load, or data it's snooping in the back ground, because the game animations themselves should be almost zero load. It's like someone tried to make the slowest sudoku game.

Considering upgrade. I was considering an upgrade, but is the cost one time, monthly or yearly?

Great game but. I really love playing this game. Can you add an option in the settings menu for auto lock? I fall asleep playing it all the time and wake up to either a dead battery or my phone still being on, open, and hot because when the game is open it doesn’t allow my phone to lock.

Sudoku Bundle. I love the Killer edition and cannot wait to try the others. When I downloaded this bundle I couldn’t find a charge for the game but it said it was purchased. ? Also is there any way to get the number totals in the boxes in a bigger font or some way to zoom in? I’m loving how you put a flashing box around the singular numbers. Thanx so much. Deb

Too easy. I’m very inexperienced at Sudoku and I became able to solve the Expert level with no hints after owning the app for <24 hours and playing about 5 total games

Cross Number Math!. For a bonus, you’ll get 10,000 puzzles to solve where assorted numbers, math symbols, and blank squares appear. At the bottom of each puzzle you get numbers and symbols left out and are disguised as game tiles. Put each tile in the correct place until all tiles are colored green with a final solving time. Wrong numbers will turn red. When the puzzle is solved, the next puzzle will adjust into activity.

Unhappy with latest version. Bring back the score and difficulty level

Loses games. Not always, but frequently the app loses your game if you stop to take a phone call or look at something else. I was almost finished with the daily expert puzzle this morning that I’d spent over 45 minutes on when I got a phone call. When I went back to the app I was presented with the same puzzle, totally blank. Aggravating. I certainly wasn’t going to start all over again.

Great game. Very fun to play. Always the right number of clues, no matter what level, to make it challenging yet playable.

Time Attacks Need Fixed. I enjoy the game a lot, but the last puzzle in your time attack series is always horrendous. 300 seconds to fill in 81 squares on a very difficult puzzle makes no sense. That’s less than 4 seconds per square. Then watching an ad to add one minute hardly puts a dent into your progress.

Less ads. I be too fast to have all these adds

R. I would prefer an option to choose my own level on the daily challenge. Otherwise an interesting, challenging and enjoyable game.

Hard is too easy, expert is too hard. I do enjoy it, but I feel like the “hard” games are really simple. A lot of it is given to you just in simple math in the box, like two numbers adding together. But in expert mode, I have not a clue how you would know anything. So it’s not getting that sweet spot where I’m challenged but not frustrated.

Stuck in test mode. This game shows you an ad before and after each level. I’m actually fine with that as they are usually short and the game is fun. Now the game just sits in “test mode” which just shows you an ad for google developers…. And won’t ever actually play the game. Have to turn my Wi-Fi and internet off to play anymore.

Not player friendly. The default setting kept spamming hints automatically. Super long ads. User interface is not that good either - buttons are hard to click.

Uninstalled again. Yeah, I came back after awhile to see if it has improved, but I don’t see much improvement. So I’m uninstalling it again. I can see I’m still forced into portrait mode and it’s not allowing landscape mode when I rotate my device, I mean all apps should do that simple thing now a days - right?

HORRIBLE UPDATE. the game was excellent, 5 stars, very simple and clean, several levels of difficulty and the daily challenge, no ads. It was Perfect!! Then you ruined it by adding stupid challenges with many levels, most of the levels being the EASIEST.. Why in the hell would i want to do easy level over and over and over and OVER again?! Idiotic. Then you sold your soul to the devil 😈 = ads. After every stupid dumb easiest level, advertisement. AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. Listen, if you won’t fix that crap, i am outta here 🤣🤣

Hangs up. It used to be a great game but then it started hanging up and freezing so bad I cannot use it anymore!I really hate it because it was such a good game

Delay. Timed puzzles are an issue. The buttons delay, yet time keeps expiring.

Constant glitches. Never starts the correct difficulty. half the time, it’s a blank game.

Malicious scam ads. You know when an ad pops up and if you touch your screen anywhere and it’ll take you to either the App Store or a website on your internet browser? That was happening to me just from selecting a number while playing the game. The ad that opened was a scam fake Amazon page claiming I had won a free prize. Don’t trust companies that allow their users to be potentially scammed by malicious ads. If you look up Guru Smart Holdings Limited, it is now Guoen Holdings Limited, which is a Hong Kong based company. Surprise surprise. Nice job with the fake English names in your review replies though. App is deleted, sorry for your loss of precious user data

F*** your ads!. There’s nothing like rolling through an expert level and be forced to watch a 30 sec commercial after fat fingering a number!! F—- this… I’m out.

Ads that pull me away from the game. Game has been great for a long time, but now, without me clicking anything and in the middle of my games, I’ll be pulled to some random Amazon “you won a prize” ad on safari. It happened 5 times in the middle of a 3 minute game, so I’ve now deleted it.

Love it … BUT. I love this Killer Sudoku game. I enjoy Sudoku in general and having the “math” connected tiles is a nice twist. It actually is easier to solve than regular sudoku as the addition numbers are a clue. I use the free version. BUT… 1) All my progress in a puzzle is erased if I need to pause playing. That is irritating, but nit a deal breaker. 2) Today, 10/4/21, after months of playing this Killer Sudoku, a mildly violent ad appeared. I do not know what game that ad is for, but I encountered that company’s ad on another game. The ads progressively get more snd more violent with blood splatters after the characters kill each other. I deleted the other game. Those type of ads aren’t fitting with sudoku, in my option. Regardless of opinions, I will delete this game and make sure I never download one from this creator again. You won’t make money from click through if you don’t match your ads to your audience. Please understand, using violent ads will not, repeat, will not cause me to pay for the game. I hope the developer takes this to heart and reconsiders ad choices. I also hope they have the guts to leave up an honest positive + critical review.
