Pretty good. It’s a cool app, you get free autotune effects and more! I do wished they had more beat options. I think it would be awesome if it had a lot of beat options like rap chat does. I do recommend this for growing artist and people who want to become a singer!

If you want good quality without having to pay for it, then this is not the app for you. What they don’t tell you in the App Store is that this app makes it so you have to pay for a subscription for their better quality stuff and if you don’t, you can make a small number of short covers that don’t even choose a good part of the song take my advice don’t get this app

Awesome!!. Such a fun and refreshing app!! I dont even have to worry about getting my make up and outfits dripped out because i dont have to be on camera!! It’s also U.S based so i know my information wont be used with out my permission! The tools, they allow me to explore my creativeness until no end!! Definitely recommend it 100%

OBSESSED. This is the most original music app I’ve ever seen! Cannot express to you enough how fun and easy and smart this new music-making app is. You can do comedy music podcasting any type of entertainment of your liking, whoever you are, you can be and do it on this app, whether you’re funny quirky whatever comes to mind I love how creative you can truly be with this app through self-expression and letting it all out. Sharing it with such a great supportive and interactive community of creators and followers alike. My only issue is with the mixing settings on the audio. It would be great if you can edit the audio with mixing and more mastering plug-ins in settings to make the audio better in quality, like taking away background noise or adding special effects to make it sound that much more spectacular. And be able to edit those effects with slider nudges, and I think adding these settings would make this app even more amazing. But still, none the less, this app is still amazing in it’s beginning stages, there’s so much hidden potential it has and I’m looking forward to it. Thank to the creators of Mayk. it, you have truly started a revolution of getting people to find their own voices, thank you once again, you are sincerely appreciate it.

User Friendly and Cool Results!. Just took a little playing around to end up with a really cool song! I love how easy it is to use. You can pick a beat, and even use pre-made lyrics! So vocalists, you can just focus on making a melody that showcases your voice! Highly recommend.

Great idea. It’s a great app, great foundation. Good selection of beats. However. I have a mic that has a built in monitor I use for tiktok. I am able to hear the beat and monitor my vocals during a performance. I can’t do that with this app. At all. And without that function I’m not even remotely interested in recording content for the app. It’s that important to me. Update the app to include this function and I am more than interested in doing stuff on the app, but as is it’s just cool to listen to beats and swipe other people’s content..

The devs need to Mayk up their minds. Do you want this app to be a place for creatives or a tiktok clone focused on sounds? First of all the when this app was still on test flight the “vibe check” portion weirded me out. I wondered to myself why must I submit a recording for review before entering and using the app who is going to review it why are you going to review it? Finally I decided to do it and it was made public. I don’t really mind that if they disclosed before I submitted it but they didn’t. It felt like a huge invasion of privacy. This app wants to be a social media app not a place to create.

my favorite app to make music. Man let me tell, this app is the real deal. So many random people who never make music are using this app to make their own songs, it’s like this new wave of talent that’s never been tapped before. i wouldn’t be surprised if record labels start signing people off this app very soon

new update. I loved this app it was a nice way of starting for me! But i hate this new update I can’t sync my vocals with the beat because now there’s always a timer whenever i press record! I don’t know how to deselect it or even id there’s a way! Also now it’s catching too much background noise when I’m still using the same mic and all 💔💔💔💔 please let me know if there’s a way to get rid of that timer

I love the idea. The songs need to be able to be made longer and when you edit them even if you undo button all the way to the original beat the sound quality lessens for some reason. Also would be cool if they added a beat pad or sound board so you can really make it unique or make you’re own beats Overall I love the app but it has a few bugs to work out to make editing a more smoother experience, and maybe a few features to add before it truly deserves that 5 star rating

Harsh beats only good for rapping. You can basically only make rap music. Theres harsh beats and generic sound clips and other voices in the beats they provide you. Theres no tutorial on how to use the editing things. The app crashed every time i tried to trim my voice clips. Theres potential but right now its just a good idea that needs more working. The vocal effects are like those voice changing toys for kids, i dont see how you can make anything good out of them. The radio one is fun but thats it. Also the “vibes” are cool but only if you can layer them and apply them to specific clips instead of the entire song.

Upload failed and lost all my work. I spent so long making a cover and when i uploaded it failed and went forever. This app should’ve had the possibility to keep it at least as a draft when this issue happens instead of losing your hard-work. I am furious and disappointed. Will be deleting the app!

Great app. This app is really good! I can use like a lot of sounds and apply different voice filters to my voice. In my opinion the best thing is that all of the sounds are free and there is no purchasable items in the app. This has really made me like singing more. I would absolutely recommend this app to other people.

Perfect for Reels!. i just started using the app yesterday & i’m already loving it! it’s really easy to make & mix the songs, you don’t need any engineering experience. you can even upload your own beats; full-length instrumentals as well. so there’s a bit of creative freedom, which is essential for me. i’m using it to make silly songs that i plan to make music videos for on IG & TikTok down the line, so it’s actually given me even more content ideas to work with. there’s a lot that you can do for free. the community is cool, too. not a lot of seasoned musicians on there yet, most are just regular people having fun and making songs. so there’s no pressure to be perfect, just be yourself! there are some bugs, like the editing gets a little glitchy when you’re working on a song for a while. the lyrics also don’t show up the way i thought they would when i finalized it, but neither of those issues are enough for me to take away a star. i love this app nonetheless for giving me even MORE creative tools to work with 😊

whyyy. overall very glitchy. can u pls just copy what voisey did? smooth u/x over there… need an option to turn the recording countdown off the way the re-record flow is set up is not intuitive. if i place the playhead somewhere, i expect it to record & overwrite, not instead bump the playhead elsewhere to record 🙃 whyyy the hale does the studio play the producer tag loud asl every time you switch between vocal fx??? i hope that’s just a glitch that’s being worked on and not something u suppose users can stand in the long run. my brain almost exploded from overstimulation & aggitation🤯 try to re-record a layer and instead deletes it, takes u to previous layer 😒needs to be a hot button to easily mute layers, i think. also can scrub thru track during editing nor punch in to record in a section that already has vox.

Recent recording issues in app. Issues with voice recording, with or without microphone (earbuds). Is this an issue within the app? I can see that the app appears to have recorded my voice but I cannot hear any of my recordings.

Amazing!. It’s absolutely amazing, I lvoe the ui, I love the idea and I love how this is a new reality! The only issue I have is the recording, when I hear my own voice it’s not accurate, there latency issues and it’s hard to hear myself accurately at the same time of the beat.

Disappointing. Had a song in my head that was really important to get out but this app just isnt what i needed it to be… The clips are all mostly rap, even one labelled otherwise are more rap and r&b style which, no issue with that style but it wasnt the vibe i was going for. On top of that, theres no way to loop clips to make them longer. Most apps like this you can loop a beat for a longer song. So adding a feature like that may help Also, theres no way to delete drafts, and every time i change the beat, and close the app, when i go back to it, it doesnt save any of my progress and reverts back to the same “draft” that has the same starting beat you have to change from, nor does it save any of the vocal recordings. Theres no way to save it at all unless you “finish” the song, and then theres no way to edit it once youve hit the “finish” button. Feel like i did nothing but waste time with this app and its really disappointing because it seems super promising initially.

Terrible app. At first, when discovering this app, I thought to myself, wow, the effects on this app are amazing and I felt like it was easier to make songs here than any other music editing app. I was starting to like until i recorded my first song there, which turned out great, but I’ve noticed after finishing recording my song it would kick me out for no reason. I felt frustrated because I’ve worked all night on this song only to get kicked out 3 times. I’ve tried downloading it again to update and still nothing worked. Then I came back and all my work was gone. I was mad but I let it go. Then today I was like let’s Give this app another shot so I recorded my song again. It ended up kicking me out and deleting my project. I definitely don’t recommend this app. It’s a waste of time, energy, and vocals.

Improvements. My story song board disappeared forever after erasing one song. It no longer saves lyrics I write. Overall a great enjoyable app. Needs more voices like David Bowie, the Weekend, ai Beatles possibly. Could use more variety of music clips and a tutorial like one gets in video games a walkthrough beginners mode. There are several tools it took me awhile to realize were available. We should be able to save our songs in private mode while we re-work them. We should be able to save other artists songs or mark them so that we can remix them when we have time. There should be prize points for the best remixes of other peoples songs. If the app uploaded the top hits of the week to a music platform that would help users get exposure. I particularly like the modifications on voices and pitch and speed options.

My first review ever!!. This the first review I’ve ever wrote and I have to say if your wanting to make music and practice consistently with new beats and styles this is a great app for that. Ive only been on for a day and i love it. Hopefully it helps me get exposure too.

Amazing app! What a breath of fresh air!!. If you’re into music or a music lover. You’re going to absolutely fall in love and become addicted to this app! I have experienced a couple of crashes but it is a lot going on in this app so you definitely have to make sure you keep it up to date. I wish there was a setting to where it will save my draft without posting or without erasing my music when I wanna go back and finish my recording.

The Corner of Success. This app is amazing, please don’t be mistaken by the four stars. It gives users a tinder like interface that lets you swipe left/right to listen to new music (in a similar style to tiktok) and you can create your own music with so many different effects and backgrounds. I love love love this app! I recommend it to everyone and spend hours creating music on it. My only complaint is that the music recording and editing process could have a few more tools, like being able to pause during a recording, and then being able to chose the recording filters after you sang. I haven’t found a way to do that yet, so perhaps that’s in there and I’m missing it. Those features I mentioned would take this app from 4 stars to 100 stars! This app truly is sitting and waiting for it’s day to go viral. I can see this being one of the next big things in a few years. Definitely try it out for yourself and see!

Is anybody else having audio problems?. I’ve been using this app for about four months and two weeks ago the audio started sounding crackly. I thought it was my headphones or my mic or something like that so I got all new stuff and it still sounds crackly and doesn’t work. I even made a new account, deleted the app and tried all sorts of methods to try to get it to work but it hasn’t. I really hope the problem gets resolved because I love using this app for music making.

Eh. I kind of liked this app at first. I was a fan, but I had a lot of game breaking problems as I used it more. I couldn’t make music because the studio kept kicking me out as soon as I would click create. If it didn’t do that then it was not saving my songs when I went to edit them, then kick me from the app. The audio would mess up over time and my voice would not be picked up, so I would have to close the app and reopen. It might sound like my phone but it’s not. It was the app. Also, for some reason I will sing high and low notes and the app changes them to flat notes that are unchanging and it sounds bad. To prove it wasn’t my phone or me, I’ve sung the song on other apps, no problem. Sorry, but I can’t give a better review till most of this is fixed. Thank you!

Not bad but lots of bugs. Bugs include - Account not deleting when you click delete button “Error: INTERVAL” - Lyrics not being transcribed after clicking the lyrics button - Lyrics not popping up on song when submitted Besides those things, app is not bad. I suggest making more ways to sign in, like using an email rather than just using an apple ID.

Made for you. This app makes it easy to create something from nothing. If you love music, this is like Canva for music lovers. You can create something in seconds. It’s fun to create and share music with a really supportive community. There’s nothing else like it that that I’ve ever seen. Serious or silly, it’s all good. Mostly it’s good fun for music lovers in general.

Great Idea, wish it was executed better. I actually do think this app is really cool. The “TikTok” style of discovering music is something I love, and it’s cool how you can share your songs to things like Apple Music. However, in terms of recording songs, it’s not very good. The vocal presets are very simple and don’t do very much compared to other apps like BandLab where I can fully customize and add studio quality effects to my voice. All in all, a great app, but a little bit more customization for vocal effects would be great.

Fun. This app is super fun and easy. I probably wouldn’t recommend it for professionals but it’s very fun to use for people who are just starting out or doing it for fun. The only complaint I have is that it seems to me when it says you’re not recording with voice affects you still are.

The app we didn’t know we wanted. Mayk it is extremely easy and intuitive to use, and there’s really nothing like it out there. It’s so fun to be able to create your own songs and see what other songs people are creating based off categories and interests!

Not for me. I don’t think that it’s terrible, but it’s basically just for rap, as most of the beats seem to be, even the pop ones seem to start leaning towards more rap, which just isn’t my taste in music, also when I went over to the “beat maker” part, I expected it to be a variety of different instrument noises but it was basically just a bunch of gags and hahas, so nothing for serious stuff, also the filters were kind of wonky, especially since you couldn’t tell how much of an effect it would make until you fiddled with the settings and went over the sound again, which isn’t a super big problem in my opinion, I understand that it’s also a social app, but I did want to make an interesting song, but honestly I wasn’t given much to work with in terms of background, you had the pre-made beats, which there was quite a bit of variety of, but I couldn’t make my own beat, nor was there any seeming way to upload a beat unto it, which is a pretty big deal, when people hear “make a song” it makes you think of the lyrics AND melody, and it was unfortunate that I could only make the lyrics, which makes this more of a songwriting app than a song making app, I suppose it would be useful if you’re interested in rap or making lyrics, but honestly not much else TL;DR it’s aimed towards people who like rap, no way to make you own beat, and some of the controls are wonky and difficult to use

Honest opinion. Honestly I’d rate this app higher if I where to be able to upload pre recorded vocals or even pre recorded songs ofc I know about the upload your own beat but that doesn’t really help much but other than that it’s actually not that bad

I can’t believe I can finally make my own songs with my phone without learning any of these complicated music production tools. It’s ok, but if you have problems it’s hard to get help. Long title there oops… The app is fun and pretty simple to use. However, I have had some troubles when it comes to editing: - when I record some audio and go to edit it, it only plays the first 40 seconds of the track before skipping back to the beginning even if I recorded more than 40 seconds worth of audio - when I apply a filter to one audio track, all of the audio tracks gain the filter, even when I have selected only one track. ( the selected track shows the white outline when I click on it which I presume indicates it has been isolated) - I can only change the speed of all the tracks together, there is not an option to alter the speed of individual tracks - if I record myself and accidentally have a voice filter on, I cannot remove that filter. This keeps happening as when I open up the app and start a new recording, it automatically has the magic filter selected which makes my voice sound shaky and wobbly. I have tried to find help on the official Mayk.it website which had no option for contact and support with problems and on the apple store report a problem which wouldn’t let me report a problem since the app was free. I also tried to report my problem on Justuseapp.com which Mayk.it had a profile which included an option to report problems with the app. However, when I submitted my Problem statement, the page alerted me with a pop up that said my concern was not submitted because it was a fraud (I have no idea why it would think this). I then clicked on a button that had information on customer support which directed my to another site called appcontactor.com where I typed in ‘Mayk’ but the site claimed it had no information by that name, I also tried ‘Mayk.it’ but it didn’t work either. This does not seem very professional or helpful for customers who need help as it is extremely confusing and difficult to get basic support for problems with the app. I hope they update their website so it is easy to seek help and information in regards to problems as it would make the user experience much better. I was and am genuinely excited to use this app to create and record vocals, audio and music but if the issues keep happening I won’t be able to :(

Really bad. Worst app ever

Cool, but…. Ok, the app looks really cool, but why is there nowhere that says that the first beat that you do will get reviewed by your team? I mean, I said 2 or 3 words that popped up in my mind, I didn’t work on it, I didn’t adjust the beats and all, I just clicked “done” to see what would happen after. Never did I expect it was gonna be “reviewed”. So could you warn us next time please, and if I could get a second chance it would be cool. Thanks!

Had such potential …. Was loving this app till I started to really edit my recordings by stretching them and cutting all the empty spots and all breath sounds and adding layers the app now crashes every time I go to reopen my draft to keep editing I can’t even do anything before the app closes again … I get to the point where I’m pretty much done and ready to upload and never can … please fix this issue because I really would enjoy this app if I could actually finish a song.

Think about the kids that wanna have fun.. Imagine having to make an account just to make Toad sing from Super Mario Bros. Think about the kids under 12 that wanna have fun with AI. Maybe reconsider what some people cannot do! The app works great but just why an account? Isn’t like anyone will do something bad or illegal

Dope but crashes too much. App crashes way to often. Lost a bunch of good songs because the app crashes and I can’t recover the track. :(

Could be better. If you make it to where you can extract audio from your gallery like in shot has then the Apple wold actually be dope… I give you 3 stars just because you don’t have that feature

Annoying. This app is very annoying at first the app seemed innocent and good then I had a call and it was from a user called “mouthpiece” I was kinda confused and I kept getting calls and now I think they have my location and all my personal info

Long for gospel. I love this app’s quality, it works great for me but, I am a Christian and only sing gospel songs. I’ve written many and use the country beats with them and it works ok. However, I would love for you to add gospel beats to the category. Thanks.

Needs a rework. It kicks me out when I start making vocal and the sound randomly is more louder

Concept is good. If I took a shot for every time this app crashes in an hour I’d have alcohol poisoning. I love the idea and I’m excited to see it polished but as of right now it’s not made very well

Not accessible with Voiceover. It is such a shame that this app is not accessible for people who are blind and visually impaired who use Voiceover to navigate their IPhone. Nearly all the buttons on this app are unlabeled for Voiceover users. I really wish I could use this app like my sighted peers to express my creativity.

So much fun. I have had so much fun creating songs on mayk. Its such a great way for people to make music in a casual and easy way!!

Disappointed. I only use this app to generate Ai songs, but when I try to make one, there are no celebrity Ai models to choose. Zero. I used to be able to use 21 savage, lil uzi, and a few more. But now, I can’t choose absolutely anyone!?!?!?!?!? Please help!!!

It’s ok. I really like the app, it’s my favorite studio app. However it is very laggy and won’t let me edit my music half the time.

This is by far, THE BEST APP I EVER DOWNLOADED!. I saw and ad and I thought this looked interesting because I like writing songs and my experience with it has been AMAZING so far! ❤️
