Very cute!! Ideas?. I’m not super far into the game, I bought it yesterday, but I am HOOKED. (It’s four am and I’m playing cause I can’t sleep) The art is so cute, the music is perfect with it, I love the skill point system and it’s satisfying to have your islands clear, then clearing them again. I also like that we get little stories after unlocking feats. I do have a few ideas, although it’s possible they’re in the game already. 1. Placing and planting flowers? I’m one of those people that like to make my island pretty, and so putting flowers all around would definitely do that.(again, it is already very cute) 2. House and furniture? What if you could like build your own house and make like little chairs and things? Also a barn would be cool, so you could raise animals! 3. No plants? What if like you could place something, and within those borders, no trees or ore would spawn? My crafting stations keep getting blocked. 4. Lumberjacks. What about like axes and different kinds of trees? 5. Pets? What if you could tame certain monsters, or purchase a cat/dog? Anyways, some of that might be in the game already and I have yet to unlock it. If you’ve read all my rambling and are considering getting the game, do it, it’s worth it, and $8 is like nothing for this, I would’ve paid 10-15. It’s clear that the dev/s have put alot of time into this. Get the game. 5/5⭐️

UPDATED 11/28 - Save transfer feature added. The game is great minus the autotarget controls (placing flooring or trying to dig is a pain). Hoping for some updates on this eventually, it really is a great game. 11/28 - So i just happened to open Forager on my ipad, thinking I might as well try a different build maybe - and then boom there it was in the save list m, a lvl 29 save with 10hrs. I had never started a save on my ipad. I check my iphone and the saves match. Wooo! Thank you. +1 star

The first time i bought this game i called off sick the next day. This has got to be one of the most well crafted addictive games you can possibly play on your phone. I bought this game when it just came out on my computer and pulled an over nighter at ended up playing it for 16 hours straight. I ended up putting it down for fear of being completely consumed by this game. Now that i have it on my phone i finally beat it and can safely say i enjoyed the entire experience from start to finish. 10/10

Amazing Game, But more settings would be nice. The game for the most part is extremely addicting, I spent literally 17 hours playing the game in just 2 days. My only issue is that if you get too many drones it becomes a issue to see and on the computer version there are these things called secret settings in the files that allow you to make them super small. Is it possible you could add these settings to the game? I don’t see why you have to make useful settings hard to access when there is no point to doing so.

Love this game!. My friend recommended this game to me and I’m so glad she did. I have played so many hours and I still love it. The graphics are beautiful, the music is fun, and I love discovering what my next droid will look like. I love collecting all the items and making things. This game brings me a lot of joy! There are a few things I list below that need some improvement, but even so, the game is totally worth it as it is now! I recommend! A few problems I have encountered, when using items like landfill, it seems the curser should default to an area that you can use the landfill. The curser goes onto nearby farm animals or other items that are not compatible with landfill, and it is a struggle to get it in the right place. EDIT: thank you sooooo much for fixing the train! It is amazing!! But in all seriousness, thank you so much for all the hard work you put into this game. I am so glad I got it, it was totally worth it! And thank you for making it available on iOS!

Great game! A few bugs.. I love the game. There’s two bugs that stand out: 1. When placing landfill, you have to clear the area, or the landfill placement marker will not show up. (Try to place next to a bridge, doesn’t work) 2. You can get stuck on a corner in the void where you can’t move or jump. This stops the void run, which is frustrating if it’s on lvl 30+

Nearly Unplayable on iPad. The aspect ratio doesn't adjust to the iPad screen size so you look like you have a constant 4:3 ratio. The general movement and dodge are the same “button” and trying to figure out how to do either consistently is infuriating. You have a separate action button instead of just being able to click on an object to interact with it, which is fine most of the time but when you have a very floaty and in-precise controls it is extremely difficult to do most things. This game is super fun and if you like management games i HIGHLY recommend you play this, i love it. Just don't get it on iPad as is

Amazing but buggy. One of my favorite games of all time to just relax and chill. However, after buying all of the starting islands, once you start to progress the game will randomly revert back to a previous save and delete some islands (and anything on that island), but keep your progress, so you can’t buy the island again because you technically bought it. This game is in my top 10, it’s just not easily playable when anything from dying by an enemy; opening the skill screen after buying islands; or even just meticulously buying each island one by one, placing bridges hoping that it would process the game and save, and then leaving for the night to find that all the islands just got deleted. I have nothing but respect for this game. It truly is an awesome game. But unless you want to speed run it’s frustrating that it soft locks into the beginning few islands. I can’t get wands or anything else. If I unlock an island I have to have everything prepped and steal any resource I can before the islands perma-deletes. Even then, there’s no guarantee that you may accidentally place a vault and that island will be deleted. 10/10 for gameplay, creativity, and overall fun I’ve had. Still unplayable unless you already know how to speed run the game.

Great game. This game is adorable and addictive. It’s so simple that it hooks you without realizing it. I recommend this game to anyone because of its art, music and fun gameplay. The pixel art is cute, and the world is filled with mystery. I just have one complain: the mechanism on placing objects, specifically walls/fences, gates, and sometimes dirt. The pointer doesn’t focus on the space where I want to place something even though I’m facing it. It focuses on spaces around it or just jumps to the next one. It’s also frustrating when you do get the right space selected but when you press to place it, it places it on the space below or above. It’s something that really bothered me when I first played, so keep that in mind. Other than that the game is filled with wonder and I thank the developers on their work.

Fun game but needs fixing!. I love this game, but the issues this game is having is making me wish I never bought it to begin with. I’ve had a “saving” issue. I’ll do all this stuff and buy all this land, just for it to disappear. The land that I’ve bought that has disappeared, for some reason, cannot be bought again. When I click on “buy land” it’s just a big empty slot with no “buy” button. I loss all my land and everything on it. However, I don’t lose any levels or skills. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE AND LET ME AT LEAST BUY THE LAND AGAIN

I’m 😞. This is the type of game I truly love, and was super excited to play it. I was completely addicted right up until the point that I couldn’t build anything because placing the walls is impossible. They either won’t place at all, or they place several squares away from where the mark indicates they will place, or, and this is my favorite, stack indefinitely on top of each other in the same space. So I wanted to contact the developer via in game mechanics but the link only took me to a website that I couldn’t access. It’s been 11 months since last update, so I’m guessing it’s not going to improve

Amazing game, annoying bug I experienced. Forager is a phenomenal game and I love it. One frustrating issue I was having is the game save. One file I had played 6 hours on it with no issues at all, however I’ve noticed a major saving issue. Any progress I made in a good chunk of time would be lost and the game would restore it to whatever previous save it registered. So for awhile I was making progress in the game for it to be reset where I was when I played it at the 6 hour mark. It’s very strange because the game still registered the file play time and I had allocated 10-12 hours total played even though all progress I made wasn’t saved. I went into the settings/menu and exited the game so it took me to the Home Screen of the game. Other than this major issue I encountered with some minor bugs, this game is amazing. I’m genuinely surprised that the developers made this game compatible for iOS and it runs fairly smooth.

Something to fix. I like this game as it’s on computer, but I find two bugs that really need to fix. First, the power station is really unstable, sometimes I leave it for a long time and when I come back the power station is not working. So I break it and then all the buildings near by accelerate, that is really funny but it is a bug. Second one is when placing furniture like statues, you can’t stop until you place all of them. Also if you type the right up corner which inventory should be, the inventory will really pop up, and you can use the furniture again and then double it. That’s all I get so far, hope you can fix it soon and make this game even better.

An Honest Review. I’ve put enough time in at this point to make a real and honest assessment. First I heard of this game was at launch on iOS, which I was actually surprised by given the fact that games are my life ha. I love to support the devs so I wanted to give it a try, and no joke from the first minute of gaming on, I have been hooked. What IMMACULATE DESIGN. Truly. Not only that, but the ART is beautiful with every pixel seeming to have thought behind it. The MUSIC is great - catchy, fun, and fitting (which most people don’t think about but is extremely important). ADDICTIVE as all hell, once you stop playing you immediately want to play again (which is sign number one of a game GREAT game). The CONTROLS flow sooo nice, and feel great when playing, with one minor issue being the move and action buttons-I feel like I have to hit them just right (but that could also be just me, mind you). SUMMARY-an extremely well done, addictive, cool, quirky, well programmed, well designed, well composed, and overall just a super fun great game. 5/5 all day. Great job devs

Amazing, but a few things. Forager is exactly what it sounds like, a foraging game. But there’s something about the way things get done that’s just so satisfying. The game starts off with you on an island with a bunch of trees, rocks, ore veins, and some berries. You can buy more islands with more treasure, fight bosses, go through wormholes that take you to a not so empty void, and meet all kinds of NPC’s with….interesting demands in exchange for treasure. Forager, to me at least, is the perfect game that never gets boring. However there are some minor bugs that I really hope could get fixed. At the rainbow puzzle island, I was using some bombs and some of the mushrooms disappeared before I could do the puzzle and now I’m unable to get the treasure chest. This means I can never get whatever was inside it, possibly my last artifact, the Holy Relic. Another thing, is there any way we can make droids smaller? I love the idea of having them destroy trees and bushes and everything but they’re just so annoying to have floating around and I know that I can just sit them down on my buildings but to be honest I just really like having them out. Also, last thing, please make a cursor option or something, I’m trying to use an obliterator to get rid of some islands to make space for lighthouses but it’s so hard and I often have to build more stuff to break remaining land. That’s all I had to say, I hope you read this, your game is amazing!

Good game. It’s a good game and I’ve been addicted to it for 2 months but there are a few annoying problems 1. (in my opinion) the puzzles are too hard. 2. whenever I close the game for a few seconds The sound will turn off completely. 3. When completed 88 feats and went to extras it’s had A link to the prototype and when I clicked on it I had some problems with it and after like an hour of struggling I realized it was only meant for the computer which defeated the purpose of putting the game on mobile

Fun but controls hinder play. I enjoy this genre of game, Terraria being my favorite, so I picked this up when I learned of it. I was able to progress decently for a while, but I’ve now reached the point where many building items are available (roads, landfill, etc), but I can’t reliably place them to build anything due to the controls. The controls for placing many decorative items require positioning the character to where the auto-snapping cursor highlights the target square. The problem is that if there is any other item at all nearby, whether it’s a forageable or a building, the cursor snaps there instead and prevents placement. Some items allow entering a placement mode that permits selecting the exact square(s) you want one at, and this works well. Until all placeable items can do that, it remains an incomplete game. The existing mechanic for those items is inadequate.

Game breaking bugs prevent completion.. I played through the majority of this game on PC and really enjoyed it. I got this version to play on the go, but there are some stupid bugs that make 100% completion impossible. The game will randomly remove unique items that you collect and islands you have purchased, leaving that space blank, but you cannot collect / purchase then again because the game thinks you still own it. Restarting the game does nothing to fix this issue. After this happened three separate times, I got fed up and deleted the game.

Great game. I’m absolutely in love with this game, However one having a few problems. Placing stone floors/tiles is very tedious and standing just right to place them where you want is very annoying. I’m having a similar problem with walls and gates. The gates aren’t too much of a problem but the wall as are driving me crazy. I highlight a tule I’d like them on, and the place above that tile. I cant get them to work next to any gates. If there we a building menu similar to building structures this could be so much easier. Other than that I’m having a great time :)

Love it!. I absolutely love this game. I’m not usually a person who sticks to a phone game cause I end up getting tired of it pretty quick, but this one was totally different. It’s incredibly fun and extremely addicting. It’s a stay up late into the night thing and I don’t hate it for being like that. The only thing I’d say that’s a little rough is the controls and placing items down. I can’t complain too much since it’s on the phone, but placing things down can be so aggravating and I can spend few minutes trying to place one time because I’m a perfectionist. Other than that, my train doesn’t work and I’ve just spend a whole hour designing my train tracks :(

Absolutely addictive but a few bugs. Let me start by saying this is probably the most addictive mobile game I’ve ever played and I’ve played a lot, however there are a few bugs. The main 2 of which I’ve noticed is a bug with the lighting rod having infinite ammo (the bar never goes down) this being obviously a good bug. However one that prompted me to write this review is I’ve played about 10.5 hours on 1 world (and am still not even close to finishing anything, love that there’s lots to do) but when I loaded up the game I died almost instantly and upon reloading I noticed I only have 1 heart. I’d gotten my total hearts up to around 10, and now anything in the game can 1 shot me. I’ve done everything I can think of to try and get my hearts back but it seems I’ll just have to use those blue orbs and build them back up, just a little annoying that they completely disappeared. Edit: I forgot to mention I also gained 10 emp grenades when I loaded in and I had lost my hearts, something I’ve never made a single one of or bought. I know nothing about coding but seems like my hearts turned into grenades somehow. Again absolutely love the game but this bug is very annoying

Great game.. I absolutely love this game on the pc and on mobile. It runs great most of the time i have put just over 14 hours in at this point and i’ve only noticed a few bugs. Mainly the game will slow down a little from time to time if you spam attack, the droids cant make up their mind whether or not they wanna pick stuff up for you or not, and for some reason you’ll get random potion effects added to your character with a 20 min timer but i wont even have any potions. But otherwise this game is perfect in every way. Just a few minor bugs

Rage inducing problem. I got the game and played it knowing that it was originally made for pc. The changes made to it so that it is going playable on a touch screen are for the most part well done. A major issue is the placement of tiles such as floors, roads, or fences. Fences in particular are so finicky that even if the square is highlighted the fence most times will not place or may place somewhere else other than the square that is highlighted for it to go. And there is no pattern it is just pure luck. Which it should not be. This makes progressing hard and aggravating. Until this is fixed I will not change my rating.

Excellent game, poor controls.. The game design is great; there’s a satisfying flow to gathering resources, upgrading your character, and automating previously grueling tasks. But, the controls leave much to be desired. The building system is pretty much entirely defunct. If you want to place a floor tile near a building, it could take 10 minutes of trying to maneuver to just the right pixel. Walls and doors don’t even place most of the time. If building walls/floors were as simple as placing bridges, it would be a huge improvement to the game overall. I’m super disappointed to see that the dev hasn’t addressed these issues given how long this port has been out.

Great Game, however.. As a lot of people have said this has been a lot of fun to play, I haven’t been able to put the game down. However as many have also said the game is quite buggy. Little things here and there, but the bug that’s caused me to rate the game happens when placing things such as fences and gates from the inventory *as it’s very difficult to do any other way* when you go to place a fence or gate there is no way to get out of this mode other than exhausting the amount of fence and or gates you have and boy is that torture. That being said, I look forward to more updates, and going back to play some more.

A Great Craft + Slash. Forager gets something right that a lot of crafting/exploration games get wrong: balance! The progression mechanic seems very well thought out, the pace is just fantastic. The graphics and animations are great, it’s cute, fun and bouncy. The developer definitely put his heart and soul into this. Good for Humble Games to pick it up and give him his shot. The only complaint I have is the touch controls. This is a problem with many ports. When I got Forager on my PC my first thought was, “this game is begging to be a mobile game.” The scope and control of it just seemed to be a perfect fit. I think the port just doesn’t put enough time and thought into making the controls perfect on mobile and there are some parts of the game that are impossible to do because of it. I don’t doubt they will fix it in upcoming updates. I also will need to try it with the controller, but I think touch controls need to be perfect above all else. I really loved the developer sharing his story in the extra comics section. We’ve come a long way from developers needing to hide their names on Easter eggs in order to get credit. This is a work of passion and love and it totally comes through in the playing experience.

It’s an awesome game, but with game breaking bugs. Objectively I rated this game a 9/10. It’s fun to play, pretty well balanced, and the controls are very good for mobile devices. The only problem is there are some bugs with the save data. I was pretty disappointed to see one of my save files get corrupted and role me back 40 levels. Not really sure what happened, the island is still the same, but I wasn’t very happy about that. Hopefully this gets fixed but besides that it’s a good game

Great game, love the concept BUT…. The game is great, i love foraging games like SDV, my time at portia etc & i love how it’s straight to the point without the storyline BUT one issue i think should be fixed is the fact that when you die 1. It goes back to the main screen which is a little annoying & 2. You dont respawn with all your lives replenished so if you’re fighting a big boss you’ll die almost immediately after respawning and since the game doesn’t pause while your menu screen is down even if you quickly try to eat to gain lives back you’ll still end up dying. One thing I’d suggest is maybe either respawning with a full set of lives or respawning in another area of the map so you at least have a fair chance at survival. Other than that GREAT job!

Mobile’s a Bit Clunky. I love Forager! I have it on my PC and I decided to buy it on my phone as well because it’s super fun and a great way to kill time. This port is great, except for the controls. I know that there are problems placing things like landfills and floor/road blocks in the console ports and it’s prevalent here as well. The ability to set up a dedicated d-pad with transparency on the left side of the screen would improve handling SO much, I don’t mind having to use the right side of the screen to aim the bow, but I wish I didn’t have so many instances where I’m trying to shoot something and end up dying because I kept walking into a corner. Forager’s a lovely game and if you’re thinking of picking it up, you definitely should! I just hope that the mobile port gets some control updates ;w;

Please give me back my life. Why is this so addicting? I can’t stop playing it. I don’t even understand why I’m playing it. I don’t even what the objective is. I just keep leveling up and building new things. Its so gratifying to whack the slimes and buy new islands. I have now bought this on my phone and my switch. Ugh. Got up at 5am just so I could level up some more before work. I love the little Zelda tune that plays when you get a key piece of equipment. I need more equipment. Why did this developer do this to me? You please make more updates. What other random pets can you get? I got the giraffe. It’s too cute!

It’s good but buggy. It’s amazing and stuff, but some things need to be fixed. First of all it’s difficult to place things like floors, as it targets every other thing around it. It would be nice to be able to tap somewhere on the ground to place something. Second, when I wanted to fuel a nuclear structure and I did not have any nuclear fuel, I got stuck in the menu and had to reset the game and lost a bunch of progress. Otherwise it’s amazing and hope you fix these bugs.

New stuff. You should add cool new stuff like more Islands and more quest and a a rocket to space so players can collect moon rocks but you need a helmet and a new item like Metal and use that make new stuff like the rocket and new space glass and how you craft it is by getting glass and how you make that is by just 20x glass and you use the glass for the rocket and the helmet. You can use the moon rocks to craft upgrades to you tools. you will need a launch pad to get to the moon and how to craft is well you need metal and electrical brakets and you make those by the new facility I’ll talk about that later but you need electrons that we have in game and you will need uranium. Now the rocket, you craft it by electrical brackets and space glass and More idk though but the facility we use it for the rocket and that’s all I got for now but I love you game

Feedback. Love the game, placement is totally broken for tiles, landfills, and especially walls and gates. If you could make placement for those things work like placing vegetables it would make it so much better. I can’t even build a complete wall because placement is broken. It targets everything but the space you want, and when it does target it, it just places it somewhere else anyways. Like I said, it’s super fun, but this is kinda game breaking. I can’t wall off my base.

I'm really sleepy. I'm addicted to this game and it basically ruined my sleep schedule. I've been staying up until 6 am and sleeping until late in the afternoon because I keep staying up late playing this game. I'm trying to fix my sleep schedule but it's just so hard to stop playing once I've started. It's a fantastic game but be warned that your sleep schedule may fall apart just like mine!

Love it but why? I’m sad.. I have seen this game by my friend and bought it and played it. It was really fun. I soon fingered out there were cheat commands but only on pc. I was wanting cheat commands on mobile please. Second thing is that I saw that in the past a multiplayer mode was being worked on but was abandoned for some reason. Please work on it to get it into the game. Me and my brother has been wanting to play with each other sence I told him. I hope the creator see’s this and get to add this in. If both of them were added in then I would give it a 5 star.

Neglected. This app hasn’t been updated in 2 years and an update would probably fix some of the bugs I found while playing. I didn’t have enough resources going into the fire temple so I decided to leave and come back better prepared. When I did the temple and the land it was on disappeared! I’m not sure if this is a feature or a bug but now I cannot complete the temple. Another bug is the Rainbow area. Some of the mushrooms disappeared so now I can’t unlock the puzzle in that area. Other parts of the game are just pointless. Railroads don’t have a purpose. Other buildings are nearly useless. Farming is an afterthought. New resources pop into existence so quickly that farming isn’t needed. Making the seeds to farm costs almost as much as the input. HoppyFrog should really put some polish on his game.

Progress Erased. I have now had my progress erased 3 times. Each time I told myself “it’s just a small bug, I don’t mind starting over since I wasn’t that far in”. The most recent time I had made sure to save every 5 minutes. I quit out of the app because I had work to do. Next break comes around and would you look at that. I’m reset all the way back to the beginning. Every. Single. Thing was gone. If I can’t keep my progress, what’s the point in playing this game? This isn’t some minor bug, this is literally game breaking. Fix your app.

Great game, maddening mobile controls. The game is quite fun. I’ve played it on both iOS and on Xbox with GamePass. I would say the experience of playing it with a controller on Xbox is excellent. I thought the graphics would be a better fit for my phone, so I bought the iOS version. I have found the mobile controls to be highly frustrating to use. Doing things like placing walls and floors is nearly impossible to do. The bow is also almost entirely useless on mobile. I hope the developer puts some more time into making the iOS controls more usable. In its current state I would not recommend it.

The Game Needs Some Work. The game is cute, beautiful to look at, I love the concept. But being unable to build and the touch controls make this game unbearable. I’m gonna table the game for now hoping that patches come in the nearest future and fix the issues. I hope they help to make the game worth the money I spent on. (I see the potential, even with the problems I persisted in trying to play because it was fun and engaging) Such as, if I go into use item to place a fence, then I am forced to close the game because there is no red x to get out of that build mode. My dude never places fences or walls or doors where the cursor is.

Great to have it on iOS. I bought it as soon as I got word it launched, and spent 3 hours on it in what felt like the blink of an eye. There _are_ touch control issues that I hope get sorted out, and some other issues, but they haven’t been so frustrating that I’ve stopped playing. The problems I’ve encountered are: - If a dig spot appears near an island edge, good luck targeting it. Rather than targeting, it would be good if your shovel just automatically dug under the spot where you’re standing if it can be dug. - I minimized the game, then went back and any time I tried to move I would roll for a bit. - placing roads or floors anywhere around where you have structures is nearly impossible as when you are close you will target them instead of the ground. Again, placing those right under your feet – or in the build view – would be far better. - the chickens and cows (so far) get stuck in spots that rocks or minerals appear in, and then you can’t free them without killing them. - since the manure dropping animals keep getting trapped, they don’t drop manure and that’s making it a very rare element for me at the moment.

Amazing game, needs more recognition already. This game is addicting as it is simple. The entire game is built of the premise of just simple progression, and it is very satisfying to do so. Completely worth the money, and I have played this for two hours straight on my first time playing it. Only issue is the movement controls are a tiny bit funky, but you get used to them quickly. Would like a setting to lock the movement joystick.

Refine Touch Controls. Loving the game so far, only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is to draw to attention the bugginess of the touch controls, primarily in placing floors/objects. The "selection indicator" square will flicker and disappear when close to an edge/other object, making it hard to place floors at those locations. In addition, the placement of beds/torches isn't clear either, as the indicator will be a block in front of you while the item seems to be placed behind your character and to the side a little bit.

Great game for the bored. This game is literally the best game ever. It’s simple fun and there’s so much to do. I like the enemies and the customization options. I like how you get to buy your island and it’s just overall a really good game. It’s crazy how hooked you get without even realizing it. So if your looking for a new game and aren’t sure about the price you should because it is worth every penny. I literally played for like an hour after I got it. I totally recommend if your bored sick just having fun etc. I can not stress this enough. DOWNLOAD THIS GAME.

FORAGER 2D MOBILE. I never leave any reviews whatsoever but this game seemed to surprise me! The game controls are simple and easy to use, I've spent hour's playing this game even had all-nighters because it's so addicting!! The game has no tutorial but quite frankly it's fast paced and easy to learn once you get the hang of the build and inventory selection. I would highly recommend this game to those who are seeking a challenge and a way to have fun building/ exploring new skills as you level up. If I had to wish for something to be add on to this game it would have to be CO-OP or LAN Multiplayer since the game is only available on SOLO. Everything aside this is a great game 5/5⭐️

Why do I keep who in your hearts. When I’m playing for a long time I take like a case of damage and I don’t know why can’t I have my hunger bar at ha so that’s why I complain about the game but I just don’t like it I still recommend this game it’s a very fun game to play it’s just that I take constant damage even though my health part isn’t so well but still I recommend playing this game I have been playing like for seven hours so I am pretty good at the game but it’s just that one thing is bothering so much and I can’t get the saplings or the golden eggs in it so annoying I got like 2000 eggs and I have not got one Golden

Game controls broken. I have an iPhone X and downloaded this game, hoping what others said of issues with controls were over exaggerated but they are not. It is fun at first until you start to build your base, floors, walls, gates etc etc....completely impossible to build in certain directions and areas. No way to control or target place these items. Which doesn’t make any sense since you can target place all your tables and fishings items. Do not buy this game until they put some sort of effort into fixing their broken controls for building your base, just removes the fun trying to fight it.

Controls make this almost unplayable. The touch controls on this are pretty terrible, and I would say make the game almost unplayable. Often times I’ll select the option to move and it doesn’t move my character at all, even with the visual display of the controller acknowledging my movement. It also makes targeting specific things to break down or hit very difficult, and I’ve died a few times since I can’t move when being targeted by slimes. The pc version is the best, and 5/5, the console versions with controller support, 4/5. If they can get these controls fixed, I’d set it to a 4 or 5, but until then, I’d say buy with caution.

Amazing pc game, bad port.. I love this game, but I don’t think it’s a good port. First, I want to say Mariano Cavallero is amazing and so is this game and the port rendition doesn’t do he original game justice. The touch controls, the most basic part of the game, are an absolute nightmare on the iPad/mobile port and hinders access to parts of the game. Forget using fishing nets because you’ll rarely be able to move just right to actually activate them. Hope you love dying because it's incredibly difficult to move just right in order to attack enemies. I don’t feel like I wasted money on this bc Hopfrog deserves every cent for this brilliant game, but I can’t recommend the port due to the controls.

really good game. i wasn’t so sure at first but i liked the art style and the overall look of the game so i just jumped in and bought it without looking it up or anything. it’s a really good game and i have already spent at least 4 hours on it. the art style reminds me of old flash games i would play during school or at home so that was a huge reason i was interested, and honestly i didn’t expect a whole lot, i thought it was going to be just that- like an old flash game you would play when you were 10, but there’s honestly a lot to do and keep you busy. leveling up isn’t so hard in this game and it progresses at a nice pace (i don’t think it’s too slow and it’s not too fast). as of writing this i think i’m level 22. stuff slowly unlocks with each level and it’s not too overwhelming either. i’m not good at reviews but i think if you have some time to kill and like the cute pixel art, + like a bit of farming and the idea of getting to unlock new stuff at each level it’ll be a game for you that can be picked up and put down and easily returned to anytime!

Wonderful game but.. But I wish there was a way to hide my droids. I managed to get hundreds of them without enough buildings to store them on. Otherwise this would be 5/5 the perfect indie experience.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD PHONE VERSION. The phone version is very bad. Often it does not save even after you’ve clicked save. I have lost many hours of progress because the game sometimes doesn’t decide to save even if click save and exit. Placing down floors, walls, fences, etc is so annoying it’s impractical. Can’t change items while walking, meaning you have stop during a fight change to food and then walk again. Idk about the pc version but the phone version is embarrassingly low effort for a game you have to pay for. Give my money back.

Good Game Overall. It’s a good game but I feel there needs to be more features like a building that you can store the droids you aren’t using. There are also some bugs with some of the upgradable buildings where you get stuck when trying to put fuel for example, mining rods, and the upgraded nuclear reactors

Eating stones bug / controls unresponsive!. I completely agree with the other review, for my problem with the controls is that sometimes they are unresponsive, the idea behind the controls are great but the fact that sometimes I use left joystick to move away from a slime, only to find my character not move. Another note that if you skill up calciverous and exit to title or game, launch the game again or to continue where you last left off, the game will not allow you to eat stones. This must be a bug that needs to be fixed! My work around which I find tedious, is to go into your skills page and exit out of it and then eating stones works again until u close the game. I would like to thank the game developer and the people behind this port for making this game possible! However please hear our suggestions to make the game even better! Thanks!

Locomotive not working. I made a railroad track that goes in a circle around 6 islands, but when I get inside the locomotive nothing happens. It doesn’t move and I’m then stuck inside the locomotive with no option to get out, so I have to close the game and reopen it to free myself. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Poor iOS controls, virtually unplayable. Cool game but poorly ported to iOS. The entire game is an exercise in frustration, as your character fails to dodge an attack when movement inputs are ignored and you’ll often break your own base while fighting off slimes. Placing floors and walls is insanely unintuitive. Author clearly saw dollar signs when porting this game to consoles and iOS, and was okay with poor gameplay experience.

Needed to be fixed the controls. Hard to control especially the casting weapons You need to cast to solve the puzzles in the game but not be able to cast on certain spots no matter what you do I’m so frustrated as the one had been waiting for this game on ios for a while I just stopped playing after I couldn’t be able to solve the puzzles

Controls are abysmal.. The game is adorable. Great cozy game for passing the time and dissociating. However the controls are so bad. The worst I’ve ever seen on iPad. I even synced my Xbox controller. It helped but didn’t fix everything. Trying to place walls and gates will having you wanting to tear your hair out. I wish I hadn’t paid for this game. I’d return it if I could.

iOS needs a better “select” mechanic. SERIOUSLY I AM FED UP. Placing landfill is literally the WORST THING TO TRY, only exemplifying Forager iOS's lack of useful mechanics. PLEASE!

They need to fix the controls. It is not a bad game, but I cannot recommend it as long as the controls are not fixed. I had to plug in a controller to be able to play as some actions, like using the bows, didn’t work properly with the touch screen.

Great Game, bad IOS Touch Controls. Just as the title said, the game is fairly addicting if you like survival games with a bit of action and building your own village. It has a lot of freedom on what you want to do and doesn't hold your hand at all. You figure things out on your own which drives your curiosity, ergo making you play for hours. Controls however, are so bad you can barely set up the tiny details to make your game look pretty (i.e placing your decorations, walls, flooring and such). Switching items from your hotbar can be taxing due to needing to stop moving in order to use your next item. If you don't stop, it forces you to its roll mechanic. More can be said of the controls but it's only a major inconvenience. You can still enjoy the game like I am, but I hope they fix it soon so the game can be more fun.

Sooooo close.... This is an awesome game. But. Its ios touch controls are broken. Apparently on the keyboard of a computer you can switch from regular motion to a roll by pressing the spacebar. On my phone this invisible and unpressable spacebar is constantly on. Meaning it is impossible to take a single step without rolling five spaces past whatever you were aiming for. >.< Needless to say this is making things fairly impossible. Placing floor tiles is a nightmare. Managing to reach a door is exciting. And the only reason you can craft is because your avatar hits some objects solidly instead of whizzing past. Pleeeeeeeeease fix it. I wanna playyyyy!

This game is amazing.. This game is insanely addictive, from the progress I made over time and how the controls are so easy to use. At the start of the game is quite boring, as you just farm trees, rocks, and other ores for a long period of time. But over time after you gain more materials to craft and buy new lands, the challenges to experience makes it all worth the 8 bucks spent.

Lost hours of progress. Don’t get me wrong, this is a fun game, and I have it on multiple platforms, but when something as important as saving progress is messed up, that’s just not cool. Literal hours of work just gone. How do you even mess that up? For the record, this was a world I’d been playing on for a few days, so it’s saved fine before. Just… Why?

Great game if you didn’t have to fight. I really like the game but I wish fighting could be turned off in the settings or else confined to a dungeon or cave area or something. I like to forage and build and explore in a relaxing manner and having enemies come after me all of the time makes me uninterested in playing. Which is too bad because otherwise it’s a lovely game.

I like how when you start the game that it’s hard to get another island that could just have slimes on it but people just review with them not being able to kill an enemy. The game is probably not supposed to be easy so play the game a bit more before reviewing it with 1 star

Can someone please explain this?. I love this game, but I keep randomly lose health. This complaint is very reasonable because it is extremely annoying having to wait a while before starting up the file again. This is a problem that probably annoyed a lot of players.

Game-breaking Bug(s). Saving is entirely broken, regardless of basic troubleshooting steps taken to resolve the issue. Whether it’s a cloud save or a manual save within the “optional part of the MENU. I have lost quite a bit of progress on several saves in several modes due to this bug. The other nuisance is placement with walls and gates making building infrastructure inherently pointless, so I kind of avoid that portion of the game entirely. It hasn’t been updated in two years so I can’t imagine seeing any potential fixes for these issues, but I can be hopeful. Going to put it back on the shelf for something else, it’s pointless to play when the progress will never be saved. I do not regret buying the game though, it has provided many fun hours and unique different play throughs. Just wish they sunk more time into it continuously evolving.

Not saving properly. Last couple of times I saved the game, when I went back in it was hours back from when I saved. And this time I KNOW I SAVED, cause I saved, went back to the home page, looked at the concept art link, then went back in without closing the game, and I’m literally back several hours, and several saves. No desire to play if hours are going to be lost. Which is sad, cause I love the game. But seriously, I’ve lost so much to saves not saving properly, that’s not fun.

Terrible Mechanism. I loved this game and the ideas it tries to bring... Until you play enough when the initial excitement wears off, you are left with a terrible control mechanism and a clustered map. This game was only fun for 30 min, after that everything seems like a drag and the game NEVER does what you want it to do. Oh you want to farm this tree? Nope, you will farm this radish on the opposite side you are looking at. I wouldn't recommend this game since the control mechanism and UX is very important for a game to be good.

Amazing Game, Unfortunate Bugs. I absolutely adore the gameplay of Forager, because it’s so easy to get absorbed into the grind for a few hours and so satisfying to collect items. Unfortunately, the game does not save my progress at all despite me exiting the game in various ways, and/or attempting to save manually. Since I do not plan to speedrun the game, I don’t think I’ll be able to access the rest of the content, or really play the game with this bug.

Runs great. Honestly on my Xbox 1 forager can be a bit laggy at times. But mobile seems to be optimized perfectly. It always seemed like it would be great on mobile. Runs great and has a ton of playability and replay ability honestly amazing game.

I love this game. I had this game on my old pc but it was to much for it and the game broke. I got it on here so that I could play without lag and get on in a minute on my old pc I took 5-10 minutes. Don’t waste money. Game doesn’t save progress. I had 60 out of 64 perks unlocked and was close to finishing the skill tree when all the land that I purchased wasn’t appearing. At least 7 islands that I still had task to do on to receive different chest and I just couldn’t find them to complete. When you look at the buy land section it just appears as a blank space and doesn’t give me the option to even try to buy it again. Super annoying because the game really is fun if the developers would listen to its customers reviews

No ads - I love that. I appreciate that there are no ads. There’s no hidden ads either - no popups asking you to watch an ad to double coins or resources. I can play the game uninterrupted. It took me a second to figure out what to do in the game but once I got started crafting and playing around I learned what I needed to do.

BEST GAME EVER but needs ONE thing. So I recently got this game and it was fun :) but it’s too hard for me so I would like you to add cheats to mobile OR add an easy mode where you start out with better tools and things are cheaper and rarer items show up more commonly. Good game. The game works perfectly besides some aiming issues but other than that it’s fine. I had some problems before with it endlessly trying to sync and me unable to play it but it seemed the problem was Game Center and if you turn it off it works.

Bug. Slime boss at the end just about blew up my phone. Maybe tone it down a bit with the slimes? Also when I try to lay down floor tiles it is very difficult so if there’s a way to make that easier please do. Thank you, great game

Problems need to be fixed. I love the game but everytime i save it sets me back and a ton of progress is removed. i placed banks and quarry’s with mining rods all over the place then went and used a bunch of spirits orbs for extra hearts then when i got back on all my quarry’s and mining rods were gone along with a ton of islands i bought and built on. seems like a lot of other people are having the same problem putting in hours of their day just to be wasted and nothings been done about it. please fix the save issue.

Addicting as Heck and Very fun. The second I opened this game I instantly fell in love with it. It’s charming graphics and its fun and addicting gameplay are the best combination as well as being a 2D Survival game. It is addicting and that also means it’s rewarding for playing a long time. It is one of if not my favorite game I have on my phone.

Fences are literally the hardest boss. Building gates, floors and fences are useless in this game because you will be spending a ridiculous amount of time to place each one down, the controls for it really need fixes. I’d suggest having them in the build tools as it will make things lots easier. I really enjoy this game but that glitch when placing them down ruins everything.

Game Movement. The ingame movement is good for mobile but theres something that limits the movement you see when you collect materials they pop up in the bottom left corner and you cant move unless you adjust your finger to like the bottom middle of your screen which is very uncomfortable for me cause, Im not used to that and it's very annoying when your trying to fight mobs while gathering materials.

Some tough issues in the way of a good game. Great crafting and upgrade grind game. The downsides for me: iCloud save syncing seems to only work once when the app is installed, so I’m constantly deleting the app to force a sync between iphone and ipad. The controls are very jittery especially on ipad, the popup joystick stops tracking often. Picking items from a distance doesn’t work reliably.

Controls are BROKEN.. Really needs a better tutorial mode for new players. It’s very confusing to understand the game mechanics and I got discouraged quickly. After a few hours of play it’s apparent the controls are very broken for iOS. Aiming and moving are jerky and unreliable. I spend more time trying to get the focus on a block of land than doing anything else in this game. The controls NEED to be fixed. I’m playing on an iPad Mini 5.

Lazy development by developers. I’ve noticed a recent trend on the App Store and with the small time creators on there. Anytime their game starts going good and they gain a little traction. They just leave it halfway broken and then they overcharge for it. Forger is a perfect example of this ,half the game mechanics don’t make sense. The saves don’t work half the time and the app crashes. Fix it or get it off the App Store because we don’t need that kind of garbage on here wasting space for games that could be actually good.

PLS FIX THE SAVING. I cant even play because every time I press save and exit there is a very high chance my progress get deleted. When my progress does get deleted my islands go away and that is just horrible. Gameplay is fun but the save glitch is just insanely garbage. Why make a game so good that no one can play? Why? I had so much progress and it gets permanently deleted and that progress can’t be gotten back because the game saves certain thing 100% of the time and not everything 100% of the time. PLS FIX IT IM SO MAD.

UPDATED 11/28 - Save transfer feature added. The game is great minus the autotarget controls (placing flooring or trying to dig is a pain). Hoping for some updates on this eventually, it really is a great game. 11/28 - So i just happened to open Forager on my ipad, thinking I might as well try a different build maybe - and then boom there it was in the save list m, a lvl 29 save with 10hrs. I had never started a save on my ipad. I check my iphone and the saves match. Wooo! Thank you. +1 star

Things need fine-tuning. I’ve managed to get trapped inside of a dungeon because the block I need to escape with is on one side of a movable wall and I am on the other side. I cannot move this movable wall without said block. So, I suppose I need to restart my game and lose all progress? What a bummer! Update: Upon logging in again, the dungeon has spat me out and I’m able to continue my game from here.

Game broke. Its an all around great game but after completing the full game then making a new save in hard mode and hitting lvl 20 my game breaks every time I try and open the app I’ll still rate 5 because its a great game but could you please fix this

It’s an awesome game, but with game breaking bugs. Objectively I rated this game a 9/10. It’s fun to play, pretty well balanced, and the controls are very good for mobile devices. The only problem is there are some bugs with the save data. I was pretty disappointed to see one of my save files get corrupted and role me back 40 levels. Not really sure what happened, the island is still the same, but I wasn’t very happy about that. Hopefully this gets fixed but besides that it’s a good game

Game breaking bugs prevent completion.. I played through the majority of this game on PC and really enjoyed it. I got this version to play on the go, but there are some stupid bugs that make 100% completion impossible. The game will randomly remove unique items that you collect and islands you have purchased, leaving that space blank, but you cannot collect / purchase then again because the game thinks you still own it. Restarting the game does nothing to fix this issue. After this happened three separate times, I got fed up and deleted the game.

Best mobile game!. Mobile games for me are very rarely fun, it’s just not the same as PC games or whatever, however, this game, though being on a phone is so good! The story the mechanics all are top-tier and I’m surprised that I don’t have to pay to get it. Truly, a 10 out of 10.

It’s good but buggy. It’s amazing and stuff, but some things need to be fixed. First of all it’s difficult to place things like floors, as it targets every other thing around it. It would be nice to be able to tap somewhere on the ground to place something. Second, when I wanted to fuel a nuclear structure and I did not have any nuclear fuel, I got stuck in the menu and had to reset the game and lost a bunch of progress. Otherwise it’s amazing and hope you fix these bugs.

One of the Best. I’ve played many games out there and a very small amount have peaked my interest but this one is astounding! The pixelated designs and the core gameplay are great 👏 getting closer to the ending it does get a little grindy. The games amazing and totally worth it.

Amazing. At first I was skeptical about getting this game but now I don’t regret getting this game. So when I bought it and played a little I was a little bored but after a while (or after getting the second island) it just got really better. I’m so happy that I got this game now and that’s why I’m writing this review.

The game is really good it’s just glitchy and inconsistent. I love the game I played it for a couple hours and unlocked a bunch of cool things , but later after I saved and quit it gave me a weird error message and all of the progress I made was gone. It did this for the next three times I tested it to see if it was a fluke and sadly it wasn’t. If I were you and you want to play this game I wouldn’t get it on mobile.

Good game. Good if you want to just chill and relax I am surprised that it got a mobile port because it’s usually games like this have bad mobile like minecraft pocket edition only kids play minecraft pocket edition because it’s only what they can play because they usually don’t have a pc but this game this game is so good and it’s not filled with micro transactions so it’s a good game.

Good game but buggy. Addicted to the game but once I got the ice rod it wouldn’t work and then my bow also stopped shooting. Yes I have arrows in my inventory. Also one of the shoot stars hit the tree house and I can’t get to it and now when I use the star fall scroll it keeps landing there. It’s starting to take away my drive to continue playing. Why unlock stuff if I can’t use it and complete the dungeons?

Amazing Game and Addictive. I just love how the game works. The controls are great and excellent. If you like playing Minecraft or Terraria you will like this game. It’s kinda mixed together as Minecraft and Terraria. I love how good the game plays and looks. I’ve spent hours on this game and am addicted to it.

Best game, but.... This game is amazing I’d recommend playing with a controller. Everything was fun and all until I lost half of my progress out of nowhere. The game deleted half of everything I did. Don’t get me wrong I love this game and I recommend everyone to get it, but I lost all interest in continue playing since hours and hours of my gameplay went to the void.
