F A M I L Y. I’m a husband & father of 3 ninjas (7, 5, and my ninjas princess is 2). I’ve tried so many different fitness apps and programs. Trying to find something that was more than just pushing play. I wanted something that would take me to the next level and hold me accountable along the way! Coach Sam Tooley and my Project Alpha family has far exceeded anything that I could’ve imagined. Every week and workout has meaning and is another piece to building the best version of YOU! The company that this app brings is amazing!!! Every single person grinding and supporting one another is AWESOME! Having Coach Sam checkin and also doing the workouts says a lot. I’m a elementary teacher and due to my schedule I can only workout from home. Each workout requires minimal equipment to get the job done! Now this isn’t a “Go Through The Motions” kind’ expectations app. If you want to be PUSHED, SUPPORTED, & held ACCOUNTABLE to achieving your goals. This is where it’s at!!! I’m so grateful that I stumbled across this app! L-Boogie 💪🏾🦹🏾‍♂️

Best Combination of Programing and Community. I stumbled upon ladder after following Bobby Maximus and using some of his previous free workout programs. I was searching for an app that had built in programs that I could follow and utilize in my home gym. Did a free 7 day trial of ladder and never looked back. The best part of ladder is that there is variety in the coaches and programing you can select from. Individuals in all athletic endeavors or new to exercise can find the appropriate coach. I have selected Treigning Day and loved the programming. A great combination of CrossFit style workouts with focus on building functional strength through controlled speed and lower movements. The best part is the sense of accountability and community that has come across. I workout alone in my basement gym most days before work and in the moments that I may want to scale back or take my foot off the pedal a random cheer from another member will come through to remind you to keep grinding. The app is so easy to use and the timer and coaching cues makes it easy to achieve the workouts. I have always enjoyed working out but this has taken it to another level. Highly recommend.

Stronger no matter where you go. I joined the Strong New York team in the early stages of the shutdowns that happened state and country wide. I heard the app get some attention from Men’s Health and other health and wellness forums I follow. Figured I’d give a shot since gyms were closing and unsafe to go to. Needless to say, I have not been disappointed at all. Coach Kenny’s program of Strong New York is right up my ally for personal fitness goals I have. There are plenty of options for coaches to train with and also exercises in general. The programs are structured in a way that make workouts fun and adaptable. You can tailor any of the workouts to your body type, strength level, or overall goals. But the best thing about the app is that it goes wherever you go! Literally a coach and trainer in your pocket. Take them to the gym. Take them to the park. Take them to your basement. Take them on vacation! Doesn’t matter where you are so long as you have some basic equipment to get your by. A lot of my groups exercises can be done with a set of kettlebells/dumbbells, resistance bands, a suspension trainer, and your body weight. I owe a lot to my team and the coaches of this program/the developers of this app. They’ve all made me stronger, faster, and more mentally tough. The most important thing is that I’m having fun with this and enjoying the process of trying to be my best self. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone!

I’m finally consistently working out!. Ladder has been a HUGE help in motivating me to consistently work out. I have a great functional trainer in my garage, but after lifting weights semi-consistently for many years, I haven’t really seen any improvements in my overall fitness/strength level. But now, even at 62, I’m getting stronger and feel much better with my overall fitness level (I’ve done 51 workouts so far). I really like how a weekly plan is created with 5-6 workouts, so all I do is pick the workouts I want to focus on. And now, I’m consistently working out at least 3 times a week with high-quality workouts. I’ve been using the same coach since day one and have been really happy how well he explains the intricacies of various weight moves to ensure we get maximum results. He also motivates us to work hard without being overly intense - and I like his fun facts and sense of humor! And the App is fantastic! You can easily preview each workout, document how much you’re lifting, pause any time, save your workouts, hook it up to your music App, send cheers to other members of your team, shows your milestones, etc. And they’re always improving the App with great updates to make it even better.

Life changing!. This app has changed my life! The workouts are challenging, you can pick from different coaches/teams depending on your fitness level, time you want to devote to the workout, and equipment needed. After joining a coach and a team, you have such great support! Everyone motivates one another throughout the whole process and the coach is amazing at always checking in with everyone and keeping everyone accountable. I’ve had a personal trainer before in the past in person, but this is even better! I feel like I’m part of a real team and we are all in this together! The app is super easy to use, the workouts change every day and the program of the workouts every 6 weeks. Every Sunday new workouts drop for the week so you can plan your week! And if you have an Apple Watch it works AMAZING linking up to the watch and it’s soooo user friendly! I am literally OBSESSED!! I will never use another workout app again!!! This is hands down the best thing I have ever came across and I am so glad I did!

Best workout app, hands down.. I have used almost every fitness app out there, but this app, without question, is the best fitness app you will find. The coaches are so good at creating programs that are challenging, different, fresh, tall while creating great results. The coaches are also very charismatic, which is a huge plus! I follow most on social media and they’re a lot of fun! I gifted this to my pops (60) for Christmas, and he’s loving it too. I can’t wait for Sunday evenings to see what my week is going to look like. I’ve done Coach Sam and ReignTrain, both have given me exactly what I was looking for and appreciate the attention to detail each put into the program. You can tell they aren’t just throwing workouts together, they have so much intentionality in their programs. Having access to so many great trainers is great too, because it allows the coaches to create programs that aren’t one size fits all like most fitness apps strive for; instead, it’s “here’s the goals my programs will help you achieve.” Lastly, you feel a part of a community. Everyone, not just the coaches, are encouraging and motivating. This app has found the best balance of technology, social, and fitness that’s out there. I’ve counted, I have tried over 50 apps this past year, and without question, this is the best one. I don’t even own an iPhone, I use my wife’s old phone just so I have access to this app. Great work everyone involved, and thank you!

The best. I can not say enough good things about this app!! It has been life changing for me!! I was a lazy out of shape slug. I was having shoulder pain from bad posture, everyday. I started the app with Kenny Santucci and doing his program I have toned muscles, my posture is better, and I feel so much better (and younger!!)!!! But that’s not it..Kenny is not just nice to look....he talks you through new moves and if you don’t understand or have questions, he is just a text away! Every week he motivates us with a message. Before and after every workout Kenny is giving out MOTIVATION with support and positive words. He doesn’t just give you boring videos to watch, nope! He’s there with you!! And then the support of my amazing team is so wonderful!! I didn’t know if I’d like the team portion but I DO!! More motivation and inspiring people helping you reach your health and fitness goals!! This app is life changing in the best way. If you are looking for a fitness app look no further and join my team or another on ladder!!! THE BEST!!! I wish I could give it extra credit!!! Love this app so much!!

If you are looking for a strength training app, you found it!. My friend recommended I try ladder, and I am SO glad that she did. The programming is amazing, the coaches are so supportive, and the app interface really takes all the phenomenal coaching to the next level. I feel so supported through the community and chat component as well as through the in-ear commentary I receive from my coach as I workout. Ladder makes it SO easy to stay accountable. I love the integration and tracking with Apple Watch, the weekly streaks, and the updated journal that makes tracking PRs and weight progress so much easier. You can tell that they are working to make Ladder better and better with every update and release (and it’s already incredible to begin with) I’ve really noticed a difference in my energy, motivation, and overall strength since I’ve started training with Kelly Matthews on Ladder and am so excited to see the gains that are to come with her Limitless team. Her coaching style and programming is what I’ve been looking for for YEARS. So grateful that I found something that makes me feel confident inside and outside of the gym.

A Perfect Fit. I run competitively and bike, both indoors and on the road, for improved fitness. Like many others, I have been searching for a program that would compliment these activities and improve my performance. I am fortunate to have found the perfect fit... the J Method ladder team coached by Jennifer Jacobs. This program has improved my flexibility, mobility and strength. These are extremely important to me as I am an older athlete looking to improve my results and avoid injury. The program is well organized and the exercises are all professionally demonstrated to show both the proper technique and the benefits. In addition, the chat feature allows me to ask Coach Jennifer specific questions about my training program. Real World Results... This past weekend, I was able to run my first “ live” race( half-marathon)since the pandemic started. My improved flexibility and mobility, courtesy of J Method ladder team program, were key to achieving my goal time... injury free. Don’t just read about this program or take my word for it.. Do it! Ladder team provide a free one week trial to see the excellence of this program for yourself.

Liked it more than I thought I would. I consider myself to be a seasoned gym-goer. I’ve been working out with my family since I was 10 years old and it’s always been a part of my life. As I got older, I felt pretty confident coming up with my own workouts and splits, and it was effective! I lost over 30 pounds just by doing my own thing, but then medical school started and the workload simply did not allow for me to have the time, or energy, to work out. Long, 15 hour study days would leave me with no energy at all, and the guilt of not studying simply did not allow me to enjoy an hour and a half workout at the gym. That’s where ladder came along. Truly one of the best things I’ve ever purchased. Every week includes new, updated workouts with life coaching and a wonderful community to work with. My workouts are efficient and effective, and I don’t have to do any of the thinking or planning. I’m usually in and out of the gym within an hour. I cannot recommend this app enough for someone who needs an efficient, effective, and supportive resource to help incorporate movement back into their lives. I will definitely be a lifelong user of this app.

Overall absolutely wonderful!. I absolutely love this app. The monthly membership price may look intimidating to some, but if you think about comparing it to the price of an actual in person, personal trainer, this is way less expensive. I am someone who enjoys working out, but once they get in the gym, I have absolutely no idea what to do. I will happily do what I’m told, but I need someone to give me a work out to do. This app has several different teams with different styles of workouts and different goals for you to choose from, but no matter what team you get seven workouts a week with coach videos of how to do the movements Reminders in your ear to breathe, form suggestions, weight suggestions, etc. I have tried several workout apps in the past, and this is honestly the absolute best one on the market. my only wish is this: they do let you favorite work outs and save them forever as long as you are a member, BUT there’s no way to organize your saved workouts. I wish I could put them into folders based on the type of workout they are so that when I’m looking for something specific, I can more easily find it.

Great for Home or Gym. So…I’m a person who likes to workout, but I’m not a person who has any motivation to make a workout. I’m sure if you’re reading this review you can relate. Well well, my friend introduced me to Ladder! I hesitated at first because I pay for a gym membership and to add this…would it be worth it?? Sure is! Depending on the type of workouts you’re looking for, this app has teams great for the gym (machines and free weights) or home (bands and dumbbells). And that’s what’s sold me on it. I also like how if I don’t work out Mondays (I do Spin that night), that I can still do that workout anytime throughout the week. If you get bored in a month and want to keep it fresh - you can switch teams. The only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is that unless you pay for the higher package you can’t easily change teams. You can email them and they will make the switch for you, so that’s cool. And customer service was super quick responding and moving me to the team I wanted. I really can’t find a bad thing about the app. A month to month membership and somebody timing/teaching works for me :) Give it a shot!

Team Formation. I started ladder the end of August 2023 I love it so much. Only thing is I wish it was a bit more personal so I went off and hired a personal trainer a month ago end of September 2023 but continued my journey with ladder. During my first two wks of my personal trainer I backed off from ladder and switched to my personal trainers workout app however I truly missed ladder so now I’m back doing both! I love the update on ladder btw and how it integrates into my Apple Watch! If you want to see results your in the right place. I tried three teams but definitely like coach Robbin best team formation is for me! Check it out! Stay committed and consistent and the results will come! I went from not working out or using my gym membership I had for three years to now going to the gym 5-6 days a wk some times twice a day and becoming addicted to working out! I went from not having a but to actually having one and I’m down almost 36 pounds in 3 months!!! Come join our team and utilize that trial! When I first started I couldn’t even get my knees on the floors when doing lunges. Now I do them constantly without a problem! You will be amazed at how far you can go with this app. This is my experience with ladder but it a fast growing app helping tons of people out there with similar goals in mind! Give it a try!!!

Life changing tech. After I lost a parent to a degenerative and hereditary illness, I knew I needed to make fitness and health a priority. I also knew I was going to need external accountability and support with a workout program. At first I tried an in-gym personal trainer - only getting 2 sessions a week and paying hundreds a month. Then I switched to Ladder, and now I’m happily working out five days a week, for a small fraction of the cost. Having tried both, I can confidently say that the instruction, support, and personalization you get with ladder is the same if not better than with an in person trainer. There has clearly been careful thought in every element of this app - clear UI, the right amount of video and audio guidance without being overwhelming, motivating elements like cheers and streaks — it’s exactly what your smartphone should be doing to improve your life. The coaches also strike the right note of being informative, helpful, and relatable without being over the top. I’m so grateful for this app and how it’s changed my life. If you’re considering it, try it!

Best Workout App. I’ve done yoga for years but was really looking to tone and lose fat. Other than yoga, I’ve never done any kind of workout program so I had no idea how/where to start. I was following a trainer on TikTok and I noticed that she had a program on this app so I thought I would try it. Let me just say, it has been a game changer for me. Each week is a brand new workout so, it’s always changing up. I can link the workout with my Apple Watch so it lets me know how much longer I have in sets, tracks calories burned, etc. I LOVE that it’s not a full blown “workout video” as well, just a video of the trainer showing you the move. You can have your music playing while you workout and it will play in the background while the trainer is speaking as well. It’s amazing. Try the 7 day free trial and if you enjoy it, do the yearly membership because it’s so worth it. You can change teams as much as you want if you want to mix your routine up. I NEVER thought I would enjoy working out as much as I do now and this app is definitely the reason why. Try it, you won’t regret it!

Life changing!. I joined Lauren Kanski’s Body&Bell program when the team first launched, and I have no words for how incredible it has been. I was an avid exerciser pre-Ladder, but it was always challenging to find a program that focused on strength training and progression. This app is that and SO MUCH more! The workouts are thoughtfully programmed by one of the best trainers out there. You have a week of workouts set for you every Sunday, which takes the guessing game and thought out of “what should I do at the gym/to workout today?” which is honestly like half the battle for most people. These workouts have me in the best shape of my life and I’m doing exercises I used to avoid due to injuries. I used to be in pain after running or rowing, and since sticking with this program my body is the happiest. The fact that I can do it at the gym or at home is a life saver during covid and quarantine. There’s a chat feature which has brought people all over the world together where we share recipes, motivational tricks, ask questions (Lauren is quick to respond and highly informative!) and most importantly keep each other accountable. I highly recommend this app and particularly Body&Bell for anyone. You get a week free, what’s to lose?! Thank you Ladder and Lauren for making exercise available and effective in the virtual space! 🔥💪🏻👏🏻⚡️❤️

Love this fitness app!!!. I have been with team EMPWR for about a month and a half and I see results! As woman I struggled with feeling comfortable at a gym using weights, benches or just taking up too much space… With this app and specifically my coach on team EMPWR I no longer have those feelings. I just put my headphones in and my confidence is through the roof. I know I am going to get a great work out in and I don’t second guess what workout I am doing. There is no walking aimlessly around a gym thinking did I do enough today? Did I work on the right muscles today or did I work too many muscle groups today? This really helps the over thinker (such as myself) that the workout I am doing is exactly what I should be doing at this time. Also let’s not forget music! this app lets you play your music in the background and turns it a bit lower when the coach speaks and then goes louder after so you can pump/jam during the workout :) Anyway as you can tell this workout app and my team EMPWR works for me. I hope more ladies use this app to become more confident to take up space at the gym!

Coach not actually reading my message and instead sending back a mass sent generic reply??. i downloaded ladder and started free one week trial, i did the welcome workout and then used the direct chat to message my team instructor about a few questions and concerns i have just trying to figure out if the app is a good fit. It has been 3 days, ive gotten messages from Coach A however instead of answering my question it seems like a preset message mass sent to everyone with simply filling in a different name. She did not answer my questions and instead said “Ella! Hope you’re having a good day. I saw it’s been a couple days since your last workout. Let’s try to get one in over the next 24 hours!” I noticed something similar from my first message where i said i just skimmed through the welcome workout due to having already worked out that day but wanting to get a gist of the workouts and yet coach replied with “ Let's go, Ella! How’d it go, did you find any part overly challenging? Now that you’ve got one down i recommend exploring the app” implying she didn’t even read my message and thought i hadn’t skimmed and instead completed the workout. Premise of this is wonderful at a good price and really seems to be a good community, the workout i saw looked good but feels like the trainer i got doesn’t really care. I will be changing groups and hopefully have a more attentive coach.

Changed my life!. I cannot even tell you how wonderful this app is. Where do I begin? From the community to the trainers, to the efficacy of the app.. flawless. I’ve been an avid gym goer for over two years. And I have seen more progress in the last month than I have since the beginning of my journey. Not only can you modify the workouts, but they really give you a chance to go at your own pace if you need to with so much support and options/substitutions that work for you. The app is user friendly and presents your stats and progress in a way that’s easy to understand, and you can cheer on your fellow ladder users which is a super awesome touch. I chose team evolve because I really wanted to start building some serious muscle, and Samantha has been my biggest cheerleader and such an absolute delight to work with. Her cues are spot on. I am probably biased as the trainers are all amazing, but Samantha truly is the GOAT. You can ask questions and you will always have them answered. She will correct your form if need be and you will see results if you just take the time for yourself. Downloading this app was the best decision of 2025 for me and I cannot wait to stick with Ladder here on out. If you were on the fence, here’s your green light! Do it!!

Love this program!. Jennifer Jacobs was my favorite Peloton instructor and I found it hard to muster up the same enthusiasm to ride after she left the company. So I was thrilled to find out she had partnered with Ladder Teams to deliver comprehensive training with her JMethod program. Because of this pairing, I’ve trained more consistently and with more intention for the past 32 days (since she launched) than I ever have before. Workouts include strength, mobility, core, shadow boxing, resistance, agility, cardio and interval training. The training is progressive and the workouts are always different. Videos of each move accompany the workout with voice overs designed to enhance form as well as encourage and motivate. Most workouts are 35 minutes or less and leave me feeling like I accomplished something big in an incredibly efficient way. The whole experience feels so personalized. And the coach chat and team chat functions really add to the feeling of being on a team and having access to a world class trainer. It’s a fantastic community and we welcome new members!

Ladder is THE Fitness App: You’re search is over. Welcome to the Team. I’ve tried so many fitness apps trying to find the ONE and Ladder is it. Hands down. This app has a fitness program for everyone and each program has its own dedicated coach who’s with you through every work out sharing knowledge and encouragement. Ladder has also figured out how to seamlessly integrate a social and community vibe in the app. I truly didn’t expect to use it much but it’s a game changer. Seeing such a diverse group of people share their victories, knowledge, questions, and encouragement has been down right fun to be a part of. It’s kept me accountable and helped sustain my motivation and intensity on the days I don’t feel like working out. The development team is top notch as well. The app is crisp, easy to use, and just flows well. You’ll notice instantly that they’ve put a lot of thought and work into the app. They listen to their users and are always making improvements and keeping the users updated on what’s new and what’s coming up. There’s a lot more I could go on about but the bottom line is if your even remotely interested in getting healthier, feeling good, and looking good then your search is over the Ladder App is it.

Programs are Great, App needs a few tweaks. This is the first time I have ever been able to stay on a workout plan for longer than a couple weeks. The programs take the guess work out and help you get in and out of the gym in about an hour (depending on the team you join). I’ve only done 2-4 workouts per week and have seen significant results in weight loss and strength after 6 weeks. The coaches are knowledgeable and keep their workouts creative and fresh every week. Sometimes the app itself glitches out or does weird things, like cutting off the coach’s voice during a workout. I also found it difficult to navigate and find settings for various things. It doesn’t have the most intuitive user interface, and there aren’t a lot of guides or forums online to help figure out where to find things. But other parts of the app setup are great and you can still get the job done. I highly recommend Ladder for people who struggle with indecision in the gym, or hesitate to go to the gym because they don’t know what to do. I also recommend for people who struggle to keep their workouts short and effective.

Great workout App!. I have literally never worked out until this app. I stopped being active after high school and now (8 years later lol) I’m finally putting in the work! This app is so great bc who even knows what to do in the gym when you’re a beginner?? Even if you’re not a beginner, having a workout plan for you to follow is just amazing. I love that you get cheered on from people in real time during your workout. They really motivate you. I’m in team Aria and she’s so cool and I like listening to her British accent get me through the workouts lol she’s very motivational and shes available to chat with if you ever have any questions. Or other members of your team can help you out! Same with all the other coaches. I would suggest getting a gym membership but if you’re not ready for that step, buy some dumbbells at least. You can also just do body weight if you don’t have anything to start with. Highly recommend. I’m a plus size woman and I’ve been using the app for 4 months now and have lost almost 20lbs. Your new life/body awaits you!!

Great App to download to get back on track. This App is amazing.. the workouts are great and you definitely feel accomplished after every workout.. this is great app if you have lost ur way to the gym and you want to get back on track with a steady workout routine.. because I have definitely lost my way to the gym.. and I was unmotivated.. I was eating terrible and was feeling heavy and lazy and I decided that I wanted to change my eating habit and finally take my weight loss journey seriously this time and I stumbled across this app and it have definitely helped me… get back on track with my weight loss I feel so much better now and I can already see changes in my body and overall wellbeing.. the only reason why I didn’t give this app a 5 stars is because I wish they offered meal plans to try with the workouts.. because my biggest issue with losing weight is dieting and I really wish they offered a diet plan on here with different recipes to try.. but it’s definitely a great workout App if you want to get back into the gym and meet ur body goals

Strength training with options. I had been planning my own strength trading workouts for a few years. But it’s exhausting and time consuming. This app is perfect for me. Someone planning the workouts, telling me how many reps or how long to do the exercises. They have different teams/coaches to pick from. You will definitely find one or more coaches that fit you workout needs. I like working out from home. But they have teams also designed for those working out in the gym. I did the annual membership so I would be able to change teams when I wanted to. But they do have what the call open season in between different series that allow you to check out other teams. Highly recommend if you are looking for that personal trainer to tell you how to get on shape. The real cool thing is you can send cheers as support in the app who are also working out at the same time as you on your team. It truly is a supportive group of people cheering and encouraging you on.

This is it.. I have a competitive background in both CF and Olympic Weightlifting. While I have been wanting an interesting, varied, and effective program, exercising several hours a day or doing metcons just isn’t my thing anymore. I’ve surfed no less than 5 other programming apps and have felt discouraged with movements being too simple (boring), low focus on performance, etc. Ladder offers several different programming pathways and I found the one I have the motivation to stick with consistently. The perfect volume, duration, and varied focus on different performance measures. I love the team chat, and find it much more engaging than other platforms. The “whiteboard” instruction from Coach Kelly for each workout provides just enough guidance (and does so in an authentic way- no fake hype), and my little ADHD brain feels so satisfied when I get to check the box that I’ve finished the workout. There are so many cognitive and neurobiological reinforcers. I’ve never had an app the guides you through your workout, timing your rests, etc. Oh, most importantly, I’m in my 4th week and already seeing evidence of muscle growth and strength. Unbelievable.

Game changer!. I have spent a couple thousand dollars working with trainers in the gym. You know the deal, get a good workout once a week and tips for the rest of it. This is so different. It’s 6 workouts a week following a program. I stopped working out for a long time and got really out of shape. I tried to jump back in on my own thinking I could remember everything that helped in the past. I was thinking about getting a trainer but couldn’t justify the cost. I saw this app on TikTok and signed up for the trial. I first joined team Limitless with Kelly. She’s freaking amazing, I follow her socials still, and her workouts are great! However my goals are to lose weight quickly and get more into running so I switched teams. I joined Project Alpha with coach Sam. I’ve been following his workouts 4-6 days a week. I am so shocked at how fast I’m changing! My mobility is improved, I’ve lost a visible amount of weight and I feel great… and I’m only in my 4th week! And it’s not just a workout routine.. it’s a community! You have a team chat with people sharing their own goals and struggles to help you push through and then you have your nutrition and equipment chats. With those chats you connect with everyone on the app regardless of their team! Give it a try. Test a few trainers. You do not need a gym for a lot of these workouts! The welcome videos will be clear about what to expect. Give it a try! I’m obsessed.

A big shoutout to Coach Corey! I’ve tried numerous bodybuilding and transformation programs, but none have been as effective as Ladder. What sets it apart is the wealth of knowledge it provides. From rest periods to guidance on increasing weights and insights into how each set should feel, Ladder has everything you need. Currently, I’m part of Team Ascend, and I’m experiencing the burn, sweating, and witnessing genuine progress. If you’re looking for a workout program that can help you achieve your fitness goals, give Ladder a try. The worst that can happen is deciding it’s not for you and moving on.

CrossFitter turned ladder fanatic. As a dedicated CrossFitter, I was left unmotivated after my new work schedule prohibited me from attending regular classes at my local box. We built a full garage gym when things were shut down but my home workouts were getting boring and i missed that community and group for accountability. I’ve used other free apps and even had access to my gyms programming, but I wasn’t finding the discipline i needed. Further, i had very limited time with my 12 hr work days, so I needed something less than an hour. The step by step coaching that ladder provides keeps me on track. I set a fake class time and I show up, hit play, and work my tail off with my coach on my screen. I love the community chat and sharing videos for tips. My oly lifts feel stronger and my gymnastics skills are improving. I still get to play around with my barbell on team crews control and coach Andre is super motivating every day. He does check ins 2-5 times a day and offers feedback on lifting techniques etc. this program is flexible and really works. Super happy customer here! Get after it!

Trained & Tracked. My workout life consisted of serving in the Army (working out in ways you don’t want to) to choosing to pursue my health and fitness after the Army (around 2009). I’ve been lifting and tracking my fitness since then. I’ve used a few different apps in my experience and the only two I’ve liked were BodySpace, which is no longer supported, and Ladder. The workouts are catered to your goals. If you want to body build, theres a trainer and personalized program for that. If you like high intensity, there’s a trainer and program for that. If you like cardio, there’s a program for that. On top of that, it tacks your max weight and reps and projects where you can increase at. There’s also the involvement of a community style group of people who are in your same training program that you can look for guidance or to relate with others who may be struggling through the same issues you’re having or have overcome and can provide some info in how to overcome it yourself. This app is honestly a really good app and something I see myself sticking with for a long time.

Treigning Day. I’ve been programming my own workouts for the past 12+ years after working with some of the top trainers in the country for about 5 years. I tried this app 3 months ago after following Reign and Neen on social media for some years and seeing it pop up on their feeds. Their training style is very similar to the way my trainers and I program my own stuff so I thought I’d try it out. I’ll just say flat out that it’s a fantastic app. You have the choice of several coaches with different approaches, and vocal coaching cues throughout your workout so you just put your headphones in, press play, and still have that feeling of a you vs. yourself mentality while knowing the rest of the ladder community is going through the same mental and physical gymnastics that you are to get the work done, and none of the workouts are over an hour long. It’s the only app I know of with programming, along with and an “in your ear” coaching experience, updated every week. They’re all clearly putting in a tremendous amount of work and a continuous attention to detail, and it makes for a great workout app for gym-goers of every level.

Shattered my plateaus!. I’ve been lifting for close to 3 decades now, and have always stayed fit & active. For the past 2 years I haven’t really made any worthwhile gains and seemed to have just been maintaining. One of my shift partners at work got me to try this. I made it 2 workouts into the free week trial before deciding to purchase. Ladder has been an game changer for me! I’ve busted through my plateau and hit new PR’s weekly on literally just about every muscle group/exercise. I joined Team Forged, in Coach Corey and couldn’t be happier. He’s personable, motivating, and his dark sense of humor falls right in line with mine (and from what I can tell by the chat, everybody else’s too). I can definitely tell he’s knowledgeable in his trade, and for anybody that’s been stuck maintaining like I was, I recommend Coach Corey 100%! Normally I would have laughed and just deleted as soon as seeing the price, but the free period convinced me it was worth it. For anybody in the fence, give the free trial a try, it’ll make a believer out of you.

The only thing that got me to start working out again. This isn’t just an app, it’s a team of highly skilled, passionate trainers who are creating a fitness experience that makes real human SENSE in an app format. I never thought that I would love an app so much. That’s because it doesn’t feel like an app — it’s a trainer of your choosing in your ear, coaching you along with 6 completely fresh workouts a week (which all build on each other in 6-week programs), a community of people working out with you, and a seamless app experience that is always being improved. You can tell how much the creators care about the quality of this experience. There are different teams to choose from, each with a different style, approach and vibe. It might be tough to start as a complete beginner, but if you’re like me and have a fitness background and have felt like you completely got off the bandwagon for years, this is going to be perfect for you and get you back on track. Just don’t do what I did and go too hard too fast. Start slow, focus on form, and trust the process. Worth EVERY PENNY.

Hands down best decision to join!. This app is perfect. I actually added the app in Oct 2022 but LIFE with a few deaths, selling and buying a home…. As I approached my 50 something birthday, caseload at work more demanding and my caregiving duties increased with my mom (dementia) my stress levels were through the roof while I felt like I was aging exponentially. Woke up one morning and committed. Team Movewell with Coach Nicole has changed my life. On my 12th week of consistent workouts - at least 3 per week. Her encouragement along with your teammates cheering you on is great motivation. You don’t have to decide what you are going to do. Arm day and guessing what moves you should do? This program just sets it all up for you. Turn in the workout for the day and GO! Also you can move around the week. Or do more than 1 workout a day. And even repeat a day. You can journal your weights / reps if you want to allow you to see your progress. Movewell workouts are 30 or so minutes. Broken into chunks. Screen shows the segments as well as % of workout done. It goes so fast even when I’m struggling. Well worth the investment. Try it!! I knew I needed to be lifting weights but had no clue where to begin nor the energy / time to plan a workout on my own. I love this app and Coach Nicole!

LOVE this app. I was always on the hunt for a good workout app. I prefer to workout from home, but I have a hard time with motivating myself to workout and so part of what I was looking for in an app was, for lack of better words something enjoyable. Big ask of an app. I was looking for a app that used dumbbells for strength training and something geared towards women because I don’t like having male coaches but also don’t love super girly apps that gear women for always chasing being skinny. I also wasn’t interested in kettlebells. I listened to the Gabriella Lyon podcast on kettlebells and decided to try it. Found this app, gave it a go. And now I love kettlebells! I only had a few lightweight ones at first but honestly it worked out great because I just focused on form till I could get a few heavier ones. Coach Lauryn is fantastic! I also got AirPods and that was a game changer to use with app. I look forward to working out, it’s fun and I feel so much stronger (and happier) I’m 45 year old women and know I’m investing in my health and future.

Worth the money and fun!. It didn’t take me long at all to see the value behind this app. I love that I got to try it out for a week before committing, but knew I was going to sign up after my first full workout. The design is fantastic and I love that you can choose a coach depending on your goals. I also love the instructional guidance throughout the workout and it’s not overdone. I’m super excited to commit to my coach’s programs and see what success comes from it. This app and the coaching definitely makes my workout a lot of fun. A couple of suggestions: i’m not sure if there is a plate calculator anywhere in the app, but that would be nice. Also, I’ve noticed that the coach struggles to answer all questions and keep up with the community chat. It may be helpful if there was a team that helped manage basic questions. Last thing, I would love to see the AI suggest which weight to do depending on what you did previously. I switched from Alpha Progression and that feature was really nice. In the Ladder app, you have to go into your history to see what you did and manually adjust. I hope they’ll continue to make tweaks but even as is, this is a fantastic app!

If you’re looking for a sign, THIS IS IT!. I’ll start off by saying I’ve never been much a program workout person. I would go to the gym, lift some weights, do some stuff I’d seen on Instagram, and call it a day. Never did the split workout (push, pull, legs) routine, I always just went with whatever seemed “appropriate”. I was told about this app by my girlfriend but didn’t care to try it because I was stubborn and just wanted to work out by lifting weights thinking I knew it all. Finally, then decided to give the app a try. I HAVE NOT LOOKED BACK SINCE! The app gives you the tools and the layout on how to get in shape. It’s really about trusting the process. I thought I was in shape but this app genuinely challenges you to go the extra distance. If you’re true to yourself and trust the process, this app will transform the way you view working out and being fit. It’s fun, engaging and a great way to have a support system with the coaches and the team of members who are working out alongside you cheering you on and giving you tips along the way. Amazing app!. I’ve tried a ton of workout apps, I’ve bought programs from instagram trainers, I’ve tried to write my own programs, I’ve had a personal trainer, none of it has made me as consistent in the gym as this app. I’ve been using it for nearly 8 weeks. When you sign up, you select a team. I selected team transform because Coach Shelby knows how to build up your glutes (and that’s what I’m going for). Her voiceovers during the workouts make me laugh and smile and it encourages me beyond my expectations- me, doing abs and cardio? What? That’s thanks to coach Shelby. I’ve learned a lot of new exercises. The design of the app while you are working out makes it effortless and I stay dialed into my workout the whole time. I’m able to track my progress and engage with my team in a team chat. Best and most unique of all, people on your team can cheer you on while you are working out, there is nothing like being about to quit on the treadmill and someone sends you a cheer - your whole screen is filled with an emoji of their choice, a cute sound effect, and their profile picture so you know who sent it - it keeps you going. Overall, I want to applaud the team of engineers, designers, and even product managers that built this app, great job everyone (please don’t mess up again like removing the gorilla from the cheer options).

Love the app; customer support experience not great. First, I want to start by saying that the app is great, I love the workouts, everything is all good there. My problem with customer service is that I specifically purchased the app on Black Friday when I got a pop-up saying that if I purchased that day, it would include access to gift the app free for a year to someone. I never got any emails or notifications on how to share this gift after. I had to reach out to customer service, who at first was helpful until they weren’t. They sent me a link to share with a friend but it was only the one week free trial. I sent screenshots of what it looked like on my friend’s phone and that they would be required to pay after the week and requested help with getting the year gift link. That was on December 1st and I received no reply to my email, nor did I get a reply to my follow up email on December 5th. It seems I’m just being ignored at this point. I think it’s incredibly deceptive to promote a perk for purchasing the app only to not be provided instructions and then ignored when seeking help. It seems like they never intended to honor it.

Worth the money. On top of a very pricey gym membership I also subscribe to ladder because it helps me get the most out of my gym membership. I’m on team Limitless and couldn’t be happier with it. Coach Kelly’s programs challenge us in new ways each week and there is never a plateau, which I would certainly run into myself without the help of a personal trainer. I didn’t realize the level of athletic conditioning I was in for, and I’m super excited about it. Hiring a trainer in person always seemed like a daunting task to me but with Ladder it’s something I KNOW I can commit to each week with the flexibility to work out at home with dumbbells or at the gym with full equipment. Kelly incorporates modifications to every program to give you that flexibility. The interactive aspect of our team chats is also highly motivating, as we all keep each other up to date on our progress and failures, ask for advice, and give tips. Having a support system is invaluable in keeping yourself accountable, and not letting setbacks or gym anxiety keep you from reaching your goals. I will definitely continue subscribing because the app itself knocks it out of the park, but couple that with the ability to find a group that you vibe with and it’s really a no brainer if you really want to progress past your known limits and surprise yourself with what you can do. Even if I was forced to cancel my gym membership, I would still keep ladder.

My new workout app. I’ve tried several workout apps in the past. I gave this one a try for a week since I didn’t have to add any CC info and then cancel later if I wasn’t liking it. I just finished my first 6 weeks using this app and I’ve been enjoying it. Easy to you and the workouts have been great. A couple extra I think set it apart. The group chat and high fives you can send to others currently working out. It’s always fun to see a few high fives while you are working out. There is a streak counter. Workout 3 or more times in a week and earn credit for that week. The week-counter is tagged to your profile picture. It helps motivate me to make sure I get that 3rd workout in. Also, a subtle thing I like, which may be unique to the coach I follow, but it’s his guided breath work at the end of every workout. It’s always positive and helps me set good intentions for the day. I wouldn’t say it’s something I was looking for, but it is something, after having used it, that I really appreciate and will always make time for at the end of my workouts. I think it’s worth a shot if you are considering. It’s got me back into my workout routine. Go for it!

Over the years, I’ve tried several fitness apps, but none compare to Ladder. The standout feature for me is the incredible coaching and dynamic workouts. Absolutely in LOVE with Ladder and the results!. I have been in and out of the gym for years with a couple years break in between. With some lifestyle changes and goals I wanted to reach I finally wanted to get serious about strength training and decided to giver Ladder a try. I tried to plan my workout but I felt like I needed more professional guidance and coaching that was more accessible. I have been using the app for a little over 5 weeks and I’m definitely seeing results!! I love the companion app for the Apple Watch which makes it so easy to navigate through the workout sessions. I’m currently on team Evolve with Coach Samantha and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER!! I feel like the qualifications of all the coaches (especially Samantha’s) are so impressive and instill confidence in the program. I love the modifications that the coaches are able to provide if you have certain conditions that prevent a certain movement. I love seeing everyone’s progress in the chat portion of the app and I (while I’m not very active in the chat) love my little community! Overall, I feel like this app is such a game changer in reaching my strength training goals combined with my efforts in losing some poundage (I’m currently 5’4” at 230lbs) and has helped me look forward to every workout. Being a former couch potato I can confidently say Ladder has made me into a gym girly. I honestly can’t say more good things about Ladder, Coach Samantha, Team Evolve and am so grateful for this app! 💛💚

Best Workout App out there!. I joined Ladder Teams (specifically Body & Bell) to stay motivated and have new workouts to look forward to each day/week, and also accelerate my love for kettlebellsI didn’t expect to be a part of a community when I signed up and it’s been the hightlight of my life (especially during this time). Each day and week I look forward to the workouts, hearing what people are saying and knowing that we are all in this together. The support from the coaches (Lauren and Meghan) along with the members is what make this app and form of training completely different than other workout apps (believe me, I’ve tried them all and this is the only one that has kept me interested and looking forward to more, it’s the only workout app I’ve stuck to and have committed to). The coaches are easily accessible and provide real time support, you feel like they are with you the entire workout, motivating you to do your best. Each week a new set of workouts are released and they are always changing it up which makes wanting to do the workouts even more exciting. I’d recommend this app to anyone who is looking to change up their fitness routine, looking to challenge themselves, and who also want to be a part of an amazing community and group of people.

No fitness level expectations. I am so glad I found ladder through Instagram this year! I have been using that other company that starts with a “B” for years, and as a woman just having entered my 50s, I knew I needed low-impact with weights and lots of stretching, which no other program I know provides, and believe me, I have spent the years buying a ton of DVDs. Ladder let me try a week for free and I was hooked! I prefer the Pilates and strength and Yoga and strength programs, but there are times during the year when Ladder lets one switch “teams” and try the other programs. The thing I liked best, as you saw in my title, is one doesn’t have to come into these programs already being fit. With the “B” program, even despite always having to modify, I still was constantly sore and had to take breaks to let my muscles rest. I am an active Grammy and have found I can keep plugging away each day with Ladder with success. It took me six weeks in to start seeing results, and I moved from 8lb weights to using 15 lbs for some exercises and people have commented I look more toned already. Give Ladder a try!

Genuinely life-changing.. This app is REVOLUTIONARY. From a UX standpoint, it’s completely original. You can tell in every click and workout that the creators designed this to be the first app to exist that TRULY feels like you have an ACTUAL personal trainer in a digital format. The business itself is super impressive. I love that I can listen to my music while also being coached, and I don’t have to leave the app to change songs. From a personal standpoint, If you are someone who is either a completely out of shape beginner, or just super far removed from having a regular fitness routine - PLEASE download this app and invest in yourself. The marketing campaign really says it all: you don’t need more equipment, supplements, motivation, stuff, etc. you just need a PLAN and this app does all that mental work for you, so all you have to do is get dressed and get to work on loving yourself. I have ADHD and oftentimes the mental task of planning out a workout is the biggest hurdle towards getting fit. I’ve been more consistent with exercise in the last two weeks than I have been in years. Coach Kelly is MOTHER ❤️ and this app has made a hugely positive impact on my fitness, mental and physical health, and my self care practices.

Best of both worlds to me. I’ve been strength training for 30 years so I’m quite familiar with the subject. I’ve had in person coaching at times but I prefer to follow and do things on my own. In more recent years, I’ve used several apps which have suggested plans and routines which I believe are driven by AI. I have often found the generated programs to be less than desirable with the composition of the workouts suggested. Not so with Ladder. This app is different from anything else I’ve tried. It’s a combination of having a personal coach but in a virtual way. Therefore, you have a structured plan developed by professional but you have control over when, where, how long you rest, and even if you want to substitute or skip certain parts of the workouts. It neatly allows you to integrate and stream music of your choice and logs your performance. Another unique aspect is that it has a sense of community since you can send encouragements to other members working out and you can choose to participate or just read message boards. To me, this app is worth it and the people behind it seem to have dedicated themselves to not only offering a great product now but are looking to continue future enhancements

Best Workout App with Results. I was blessed to cross paths with a former Peloton Coach Jennifer Jacobs. I was hooked from the beginning - from her love of 80’s music to making you feel like she was riding right by your side - always pushing you. It was only fitting that I follow her on her new journey with Ladder Teams to deliver her detailed training with her JMethod program. I’m training more on a consistent level than ever before and I’m feeling so much stronger. Her workouts include a variety of combinations such as strength, mobility, core, cardio and resistance. The training is different every week, however the JMethod gives you the tools to be prepared and stronger for the weeks ahead. The videos of each workout gives you personal instruction, Jennifer Jacobs is there to give you the proper instruction on how to perform each move properly so that you can see results. Most of the workouts are 30-40 minutes and will leave you feeling inspired for more. The whole experience is very personalized. The price is worth getting to train one on one with one of the best coaches in the world - and results are guaranteed. You must join this amazing team and let Jennifer Jacobs show you her amazing JMethod program.

Empower with Courtney. I signed up with this app end of 2022. I had the goal of getting in shape for a horse riding vacation August 2023. I had been out of the saddle for years and not in the position to ride every day. I started Courtney’s Pilates/strength training program to help. I am happy to report I did very well on my trip. My new strong core helped keep me in the saddle on a few occasions during the week. I will continue with this program. I have had amazing results working the program about 3 days a week. I also am riding at least once a week and getting in 10,000+ steps every day. Stay consistent. Progress over perfection. I’m 50 years old and in better shape than when I was 40 years old running 3-5 miles a day. An important caveat I really let myself go the last 3 years as peri menopause ramped up. Now I am focusing on strength, movement and sleep. I have lost about 30 lbs and am motivated to keep everything toned. I recommend this program to everyone as it really fits any schedule. Ladder Teams: Strong New York. This app and community are amazing! I’ve always struggled with knowing what to do in a workout. I need someone telling me what to do! Coach Kenny’s programs lay everything out for you on a weekly basis, allowing you to just focus on doing the work. I never considered myself the most athletic or physically fit person so I thought I’d be super intimidated by the work outs and I couldn’t have been more wrong! I can feel myself getting stronger physically and mentally! Not only are the work outs amazing, but Kenny’s encouraging words at the beginning and end of every workout are so inspiring. And if getting fitness instruction from one of the best in the biz isn’t enough to motivate you, the entire Strong New York team is sure to pump you up! Everyone is so encouraging and supportive. I find myself checking the app multiple times a day just to see who has joined the team and who has accomplished milestones and goals. I love everything about this app and am just getting started! The most I’ve been consistent. I’ve been using Ladder for 10 weeks now and haven’t broken my streak. Have been consistently working out 4 times a week with this app! Coach Aria of team Ascend is very active in the team chat and gives a lot of tips on the program, form, nutrition, and responds to her team’s questions. The team feels like a huge group of gym buddies too and are very helpful and supportive of each other. The app also keeps improving and the devs have added a lot of new and helpful features in the 10 weeks I’ve been using it.

I can’t wait to do my routine as the exercises are different and the motivation provided along with excellent advice is fantastic. As strange as this is I feel really connected to the group. The best part is I am not beating up my body, am getting great results and have more time to spare. Tried them all - this is the best!. I tried so many gym apps before finding ladder including some very popular ones such as sweat. None compare. It flows so well at the gym, I no longer feel aimless and like I’m going back and fourth between machines. I put my headphones on, follow along and before I know it, I’ve completed my workout and feel great! The instructor gives tips as I’m working out which is so encouraging. Don’t waste your time with other apps, get this one! Watch your gym confidence grow and your body change 💪

Omg YES!!. This is exactly what I have been looking for. The workouts are great and there are so many teams to pick from to suit your goals. If you’re looking for fun workouts you can do from home in your own time then look no further. So glad I found Ladder 💪🏻

Keeps you accountable - Team DEFINE!. I started this app on a free trial… after doing 4 workouts I decided to purchase this app for the year. I have not missed a day in the last 3 weeks. I love LADDER. Great community, amazing workouts and the ability to switch things up with different teams if you want.

$20 AUD offer rescinded. I am currently still on my week free trial and saw that i am eligible for a $20 AUD offer forever. I tapped on the claim offer button and nothing happens. Fantastic programming. I joined Ladder in November 2023 and have been on Kelly Matthews’ Limitless team ever since. Cannot recommend the team and app enough! I love how the progressive overload is programmed and how there is just enough variations in movements to keep things interesting without sacrificing gains. Excited to see where my strength is at in a years time on this program!

The best workout app!. I seriously love this app, have never used or seen anything like it. It keeps me so motivated with everything being timed out (you can still pause and rest when you need to) and it’s like having a PT in your home encouraging/pushing you. I do the body and bell program that’s kettlebell focused and I am OBSESSED!

Great app. This app is great pick a program and get walked through each exercise, video repeats for every movement if your not sure how to do it and you can pop your headphones in and listen to music while you workout to the audio cues, wasn’t sure about spending the money at first but it’s deffs worth it

Fantastic app. I’ve been using Ladder for 6 months and it’s been the best fitness solution I’ve ever found. I’ve given up my gym membership as this app is so much better. Being able to use it at home (or anywhere) allows me to stay consistent and find 30mins in the day to get in my workout. Having a new workout every day keeps it interesting and I’m not wasting time figuring out what to do.

Love it won’t use anything else. I’ve had apps before and switched to my own program . I got ladder because I wanted to do strength and conditioning but had no idea where to start. It’s been the best! I love it the guidance in you ear giving you ques and encouragement are so helpful. I’m going to keep doing this for as long as I can.

Impressed!. I love this app. I have been a crossfitter for over 7 years but recently decided I wanted to focus on strength training from my home gym. I tried quite a few apps but couldn’t find one I loved until ladder. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I wish it had a nutrition aspect to it too. Macro calculator, meal tracking and recipes etc.

Amazing App. For anyone who is trying to decide whether this app is worth downloading, 100% do it! I joined the Formation Team just over a month ago and have consistently worked out 5 to 6 days a week. Something I was never able to accomplish at the gym. The workouts are fun and varied to keep you interested and covered in sweat, every time! The community is also awesome, the chats keep you motivated as does the Coach (Coach Robin is the best) in your ear encouraging you in every workout. By far the best workout app I have ever used.

Workout app making the gym fun. I’m loving the Ladder app so far. It helps me get through workouts at the gym and provides a support system through the chat that’s invaluable. Syncs with my Apple Watch during workouts and lets me listen to my own music which is a plus! I tried the free trial and knew I needed to continue using it

Work out review. Actually a really good app, love how the coach chats to you durning each session and each set to help you with it and feels like someone is actually chatting with me as I workout alone, the visuals of each exercise is great and happy there’s a demo of each move set, really happy with this app would recommend, Go coach Corey

Best app to motivate you to regularly workout. Rejoined a gym and did my own thing for about a month. Was ready to work out smarter but didn’t want to hire a PT. Decided to give Ladder’s free trial a go (saw them on Insta and had read some very good reviews) and I signed on for a year within 4 days of trying it. This app is SO good. Like the best. It took me about a week to feel fully confident using the app. I love how many features it has. I also love coach Samantha - team Evolve. She does excellent guidance and I’m doing so many new exercises in the gym. I can feel my muscles growing which is my goal as a peri woman over 50. I love this app so much, I’ve been exercising for 6x a week as I’m so motivated. It feels like Ladder have figured out the secret sauce to make people love working out. I used to never workout for more than 30 minutes and now I’m doing 45-60 minutes daily without complaint. I love the community aspect - team Evolve is extremely supportive. As someone with a couple of permanent injuries, I really appreciate the ability to swap out exercises that suit my ability. Give it go, I promise you won’t regret it.

Like a PT in your pocket. I never leave reviews in apps, but feel like leaving one for Ladder is justified. Having a heap of experience in the gym, but with a few years break, I got back into it. I felt like I was on a hamster wheel of just doing the same thing each week, repeating my favourite exercises that I’m comfortable with. Ladder has helped me break that and given me the direction I needed to try something different. The structure is great, the video demonstrations of the movement is super helpful and having someone chatting to you whilst you work out is a nice change. I highly recommend Ladder.

Fantastic app!. Exactly what I was looking for! Having a coach in my pocket has helped me stay more focused and train more consistently. Have been on team forged for the past 4-5 weeks with coach Corey who does an excellent job and keeps the sessions interesting. One of my favourite features is being able to swap out exercises for similar movements that allow me to workout from bothers gym and home depending on my schedule.

Perfect to take you to the next level. I’m halfway through my free trial and loving it. I’d hit a wall with my training after I started strength training about 6 months ago. I don’t have access to a gym so this program has been perfect to challenge myself to grow with minimal equipment. There’s a great community and lots of support, not to mention heaps of fantastic trainers to choose from depending on what you’re hoping to achieve.

Best app by far. Ladder popped up on Tik tok and decided to give a go. I tried the free trial first and fell in-love with it. The coaches are there to guide you through the trainings the whole time. The fact that you can change up your team is just a bonus. I feel great and continue to stick around 🤭.

Elevate strength program. Love that the workouts are max 35mins in length. In that time I feel like I’m working hard. The variety is incredible and I must admit I have stuck to doing at least 4-5 workouts a week without a problem. Love the option of two mobility days where I can do late at night after putting the kids to bed. Highly recommend this app, and been telling my friends all about it!

The best app ever. I don’t think I’ve ever written an app review. But I’m here to say this all is so amazing. I have been training at the gym for 22 years now. From pt, to classes, to self administered programs, but ladder is seriously the best. I’m with coach Kelly, I love her.. she’s amazing with her programming, prompting. I also love feature of the app, I can listen to my own music and it fades out when coach Kelly is talking, I can track my previous weights and it will auto suggest when I need to push myself. I also love that you can substitute exercises if you don’t have access to certain equipment. Seriously the best!!

Very buggy performance lately. I don’t know what’s going on with the Ladder app anymore, but it seems to be riddled with bugs for the past couple of months. When I first started using it at the start of the year, it was flawless. Now the major issues are 1) downloading a workout takes forever, 2) syncing to the Apple Watch never works on the first go (it takes at least 3 or 4 tries), 3) sometimes several instances of the workout seem to be running concurrently i.e. they show up on the Lock Screen one after the other and you don’t know which one is the actual instance that is working and 4) it just drops out midway through a workout sometimes and all the workout data is gone. I’ll be up for renewal in several months and these issues are seriously turning me off. I don’t think I’ll continue with my subscription if you don’t devote enough resources to your development team to fix things.

My Review. I downloaded the ladder app and subscribed to Treigning day a few months ago, and before hand I was always trying hard but struggling to enjoy my time training and going to the gym. Since I’ve used this app my time at the gym is the best part of my daily routine and I’m consistently improving and getting closer in my fitness goals . Highly recommend this app

Life Changing!. I signed up to Ladder a couple of months ago almost on a whim after seeing an ad on TikTok, and it’s honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I chose Team Resilient (shout-out to Coach Neen!) and I’m able to do it all at home with not a lot of equipment as the workouts are very customisable. if I don’t have a particular piece of equipment or can’t or don’t want to do a particular move there are plenty of options to swap. If you prefer to work out in a commercial gym or otherwise have access to machines there are coaches who specialise in that too, and you can switch teams and coaches at your discretion. I’ve been managing 4-5 sessions a week before I leave the house for work and am seeing real results, which is motivating me to keep going and try harder. If lifting weights is your thing, and you’re struggling to stay focussed and want someone to give you a plan you can easily follow, I cannot recommend this app enough.

I strongly recommend Ladder for anyone looking for a well-designed, progressive training program that keeps you motivated and accountable. Best fitness app. I have tried many fitness apps and this is by far the best Cool down and stretching could be a little longer but then the workout overall would be longer and turn people off It’s seriously fabulous though Perhaps a whole body stretch additional videos would be great to access

Love it!. I’ve only been using this app for a month now but it’s keeping me motivated and I can definitely feel the difference in my fitness level. I love that workouts change every week and you can change programs as you progress or want something different. You can also join chat forums with others who are using the app. It’s a good way to keep motivated. The coaches provide tips and respond to questions and messages on those chats as well which adds to my motivation to stick to it knowing and feeling like you are part of a team. My only wish is that they allow fitbits to register calories burned instead of only Apple Watches

Obsessed!. I’ve tried a few fitness apps over the years, as I worked with a personal trainer for years and I feel confident navigating weight training in the gym. BUT nothing compares to Ladder! It’s insanely good, the support and accountability is amazing and I haven’t been this consistent in years. I’m only 6 weeks in and I cannot wait to see where the remainder of the year takes me. Thank you Ladder for the Ux experience, coaches and structured training! ✨

Body and Bell. Body and Bell is one of the programs you can choose in Ladder. The program incorporates functional movements which has been such a benefit for overall muscle conditioning and health. The workouts are fun, challenging and relatively quick, 30-45 mins. The best part of Body and Bell is that it can be done at home once you've purchased some equipment, I’ve started with only 3 kettlebells.

The BEST fitness app. Couldn’t recommend this app highly enough. I love how I’m in a team, working to a program with my coach cheering me on and providing guidance all throughout the week. It’s made such a difference to my fitness having this real time motivation as opposed to other fitness apps that are more of a workout library

Unreal!. Loving the app did the 7 day free trial and signed up!! Can’t hold me back!! Loving coach Brian! At team Vitality! Not only an extreme workout with minimal gear! But the life coaching through it aswell! With quotes and just advice to help you push through! Never been part of a group without being with the group! But feeling the support!!!

The BEST training app!!!. This is the only training app I’ve downloaded and actually use consistently. Having a coach and goals and weekly changing workouts really helps to keep you motivated and focused. Can’t recommend enough! I’m on the Shelby team and I absolutely love the workouts. It’s so helpful knowing exactly what to do when you’re at the gym and the videos and coaching throughout your workouts make it really easy to follow.

Elevate your Fitness. I joined Team Elevate 3 weeks ago on the Ladder App and let me say it is the best decision I’ve made. The app is easy to navigate and it’s like having a personal trainer right here in my home. There are many coaches to choose from to find your perfect fit. No more having to think of a workout sequence, it’s all done for you. The workouts from Coach Elise are well thought out and challenging and she is right there in your ear the entire time, encouraging and motivating you. The team chat function makes you feel like you are part of a team no matter where you are in the world!! Well done Ladder and Team Elevate💪

Best app I’ve used!. I’ve tried so many fitness apps over the years and this one is by far the best I’ve ever used. I’m 1 week in and already hooked. The ux is seamless and easy to use. The coaches are fantastic and the workouts are really well put together. I’ll recommend this app to absolutely everyone.

Wish I’d found it sooner. I’ve tried all types of paid and free apps, PT and gyms. For those that want programmed strength training this is by far the best app and super reasonable. Great App!. Downloaded a week ago and have signed up before my free week trial. Love having a plan in the gym and having it told to me while I’m doing it, it is making going to the gym easy as all I have to do is turn up. And for the first time in a while I have turned up 6 days in a row!

Best fitness app ever. I honestly have never bothered to write a review for any app before but this app is incredible. I come from a background in personal training and exercise physiology and I am generally pretty critical of app and web based programs but this is absolutely brilliant. I’m currently in team alpha and the workouts are intelligently designed and programmed for progression and you have the ability to track your workouts and it definitely helps with the accountability. It is SO worth the very modest subscription fee.

There Are Better Value Fitness Apps. The cues you get from Ladder while training are excellent, but that’s the only difference from other apps like SWEAT, FitPlan, and Fitbod etc. They change trainers without warning, so your team is disrupted, and the filter based on equipment doesn’t work, not to mention that they don’t provide exercise modifications, so if you’re a beginner who doesn’t know much about your options to modify, you’re on your own. This app isn’t worth the price. There’s better value out there.

This app ticks all the boxes. Aside from the many great features, (such as team chat and being able to listen to my own playlist just to name a few) - most importantly it gets results. Well written periodisation programs with innovative training concepts and constant new workouts keep it fresh and even as a qualified PT and someone who has always trained daily, after using Ladder for just two weeks I could feel my body changing and I began to see results. I love that I don’t have to think about what I’m going to do each day, I can just jump on the app and my workout is ready and waiting and I can train alongside my teammates from all over the world - there’s always someone else training alongside me. Thanks for creating such a great app, usually there’s always something missing in fitness apps and you have to compromise on the features but Ladder really does have it all. Appreciate all the thought that’s gone into this team!

Love it!. I’ve always struggled to find a program/app that would consistently keep me engaged. I would generally get bored. This nails it, with its 8-week programs, and a PT like experience. I’ve seen the most gains I have in a while! The coaches in your ear as you workout, reminding you of proper form and hyping you up is fantastic and what sets this app apart. Well structured and motivating. I’ve been using Ladder for a few months now (Team Limitless) and I can confidently say it’s the best app I’ve tried for weight training. The biggest differentiator is the commentary during moves and rest periods - it’s like having a trainer there with you. As commentary is different every session, I never feel workouts become monotonous. In fact, Kelly’s session video intros are sometimes the motivation I need to get to the gym. I also appreciate how integrated the chat and live cheers features are, so even though you may be technically working out alone, there’s a wider community who always shows up with you.

Ladder is different then other apps. LADDER is different the other apps because your trainer is constantly talking about which body parts you need to be focusing on during each exercise. It builds that muscle/mind connection, keeps you motivated and prevents injury. 10/10 highly recommend.

Horrible. Definitely not easy to use, and the workouts are not for a beginner. I wanted to like this so much, but there isn’t even a way to pause and start the exercise over if you are having issues with the motion. Thanks for another app that makes me feel terrible!

great for “intermediate” lifters!. I joined ladder having been training on/off in the gym for 10 years, but over the past few years really lost steam as far as my routine and generally just feeling unexcited by the gym. Ladder has been an excellent resource to get me back in the gym consistently - I love the in ear coaching and timed rest periods. Plus, the app developers are super responsive to feedback and they’re frequently pushing new updates to improve even more. I wouldn’t recommend the app to absolute beginners in the gym (please hire a trainer to learn the basics!), but for anyone else, it’s absolute gold!

Keeps me consistent. Love this app! Before ladder I was just doing push/pull training and just looking up videos on exercises doing random one each time and not really seeing progress. Now in just a month of using it I already see progress and the week by week plans help me push to do more because I want to do the workouts before the new ones come out. The coaches speak to you during the workouts which helps a lot and it’s super easy to input the reps and weight for each. I did the 7 days free and I was hooked!

I went from going to the gym ~3x per week with no direction, lacking motivation because I just didn’t know what to be doing…just a bit of everything. When I started Ladder 5 weeks ago, it totally changed my life. I look forward to going to the gym now..in fact, instead of 2-3 half effort workouts per week, I’m now WANTING to workout 5-6 times per week and put in the effort to reach my goals. Love. SO MUCH love.. Coach Nicole & Team Movewell are exactly the right fit, and 9-weeks in I’m definitely seeing a difference. I’ve NEVER been this consistent or enthusiastic about working out!! The personal trainers at the gym are at least $50/hour… making even the annual purchase of this app an amazing deal - and my ‘trainer’ is waiting for me when the time works for ME with my schedule! Paul. Great app! Variety of coaches and workout styles to choose from. It’s your personal trainer with full weekly workout plans you just need to follow along! Keep track of all your fitness needs including sinking to your Apple Watch for calories burned among other things!

Best training BUT…. Very easy to use and the fluidity of the experience is very good. If you find your group and connect with the coach, it’s amazing and you will become addicted. However, choose the monthly billing option, avoid the yearly. I renewed for a full year, and then a month later, the entire group I was following got pulled from the platform within 72 hours with no explanation. I couldn’t find another group that fits my expectations, and my requests for partial refund were simply ignored. Lost over $300. Great app, pay monthly and don’t get attached too quickly. They pull the plug without warning!

Ipad app. When I open the app on iPad it appears half screen as if it was only iPhone supported. Would rate 5-stars if it worked properly on iPad when device is horizontal. Will change my review if I figure out how to make it work on iPad.

Love This App. I love this App! I love the priority work pouts to get done when only 3 days to lift in a week. I love the videos and that it syncs with Spotify and Apple all auto no extra steps!! I have used a lot of apps this is by far the best one. My favourite cheering each other on with lots of emojis and encouragement.

Best at home training. I’ve tried a few different apps, this is by far my favourite. I love how customizable it is from type of training to who your coach is. Integrated Apple Music. The best workouts and unlimited.

Lie about trial period. The adds that pull you in clearly state that there is no charge for 14 days with a designated starting date. In my case 2 day from sign up. When I completed the sign up process i was told my 5 day free period started immediately. This approach to business indicates they are hiding the effectiveness of the program. I would use any other program over this one given this clearly unethical approach to business.

The best workout app I’ve ever used!. Ladder is so well designed and has amazing integration of music and motivation into the program! This is the first time I’ve ever done strength training consistently, even at home! I’m on team ALIGN with coach Sasha and she is so knowledgeable and inspiring. I’m so glad to have found Ladder and Sasha :)

Best app. Used a lot of different fitness app and this one is by far the most motivating and challenging app that i ever used and excited to do a workout everyday!

Fantastic workout app. The ladder app is very easy to use and very simple. The messaging feature is a very nice touch which brings a personable approach similar to a regular training program in a gym. Days of gym memberships are fading away. I highly recommend this app if you are thinking of training at home or even in the gym but are in a dead end workout routine. Team Boundless has such a good variety of exercises and makes fitting exercising into a busy schedule much easier. 10/10!!

Highly recommend!. This is exactly the app I was looking for. The guided workouts help me get the form and direction I need. The questionnaire I filled out in the beginning was spot on and give me workout with the equipment I have acccess too. I particularly love this because it takes me out of the overcrowded gyms, where I can at times be distracted. Love how it can play my music in the background without it being a distraction. I really don’t have a bad thing to say!

🔥Workout app. Since day 1 of using this app I have loved every workout and all of the coaches. Very fun and instructional. Very easy to use and with recent updates it just keep getting better. Thanks Ladder team for keeping me going even when I’m not feeling like it. It’s a great virtual gym experience 11/10 would recommend!!

Love it & Go Team Elevate ! 💪🏼. Great app that provides the structured daily program I needed, perfect for me to stay disciplined and motivated (Team support 🫶) Exercises are adjustable and you can work with little equipment at home or all-in in the gym. The “à la carte” section is super diverse and flexible (stretching, strength…). Imho, It would be even better with a section that explains more in-depth key movements to help beginners with proper form!

Ladder app worth it!. I’ve been using the Ladder app for a month (bought a year) after trying a week free. I’ve done beachbody workouts for close to 10 years but when they increased their prices a couple years back I never went back. I like this better! You can pick a team depending on your goals and switch if you need to. You can record your weights and reps right on the app while you workout and I love connecting to my own music. It’s easy to use and the workouts are great! Hitting multiple muscle groups at once. Definitely try if you’re on the fence. I love it!!

Worth it!. I’ve spent plenty of money on trainers and programs but I’ve never stuck to anything as long as I have with this app. There are so many different trainers and even within those programs it’s very customizable and meets you where you are. You’re supported by your trainer and the community chats. Best investment I’ve made in myself!

Effective. This is a decent app. If you can muster up some self motivation, or you already work out and need some direction, this is for you. Dont pick your own random work outs, try this instead. You’ll be happy you did!

Poor response rate. I like the workouts and that it syncs to my Apple Watch. The coach doesn’t respond to any of my messages or questions. I’ve reached out to their email for further questions and they’ve ignored my questions. No response at all. It seems like they don’t want me to join their workout community which has been a horrible feeling.

Free 1 year gift not working. Hi, I can’t seem to get support for this app so I thought I would leave a review. Great workouts and it makes you sweat but…My friend gifted me her 1 year subscription the app said congratulations you got a free year. I thought great! 4 days later it’s now asking me to pay $179, I think there is a glitch…would love support on this but can’t seem to find an email.

Love the LADDER App!. This was my first time trying a workout app and I love the workouts, Coaches and the supportive community. Such a positive place for people sharing a common goal. Definitely download this if you need some motivation health wise.

Best work out app. I love this app and LOVE the trainer Kelly. I have stuck with her program for 3 months now. It does not get boring and her coaching in your ear during the work out is awesome. It really feels personal and that she is there with you. It gave me so much confidence in the gym to use equipment or do heavy lifts that I don’t normally try. The app is great as well. The functionality is something you do not see with other apps - way ahead of it’s time. The workouts sync to your music and your Apple Watch. All you have to do is hit start and never look at your phone for the whole workout if you don’t want too. I hate other apps, where you have to stop and input information and then click to get to the next set. The chat is also great and motivating, and Kelly is always checking in and responding to questions. I have tried other coaches, still good, but have found the one trainer I really gel with and the workouts are awesome.

Life-changing! Unlike anything else!. This app has helped me stay consistent when I struggled to prioritize myself. When I was in college I was actually got certified as a personal trainer and did that for a while. Even though I moved onto other things, I’ve always been a fitness junkie and love to move my body. However, after having kids and starting a business it just became harder and harder to prioritize my needs. When I found the Ladder app, Coach Courtney lit a fire under me. She has really motivated me and helped me stay consistent. Plus, not having to think about what workout to do has been incredible! The app is built in such a way where it makes you want to show up to log your workout. It encourages you to cheer on your other teammates and it makes you not want to break your workout streak! Love Ladder!

Loving the App and J Method Team!. This App is a great way to stay focused and motivated. It’s been easy to use and easy to find time to use the “on demand” content. I’m enjoying interacting with others on my “fitness team.” We are becoming a community who push, motivate and encourage — all of us led by our Coach, Jennifer Jacobs (formerly of Peloton). Jennifer and the J Method Team bring fresh, daily content that works well for me as a compliment to the cardio that I continue to do, primarily on Peloton. The workouts are relatively short — typically 20 to30 minutes — and include a combination of moves to build strength, flexibility and balance. The classes are progressive — building from day to day and week to week — and have a nice flow. Already feeling good progress after starting to plateau while doing mostly cardio. I definitely encourage all to try Ladder and join Team J Method!

FINALLY found a program I will stick with!. I LOVE this app! I’m really enjoying the MoveWell program. The exercises are simple enough for beginners but still challenging enough to work the muscles and see results (with proper nutrition of course). There are also other programs if you want to switch things up. You can send and receive cheers, which I find super motivating. The community chat is a nice feature as well. My only gripes are that I wish there were a larger variety of chat options (right now there are only your programs chat, healthy snacks & recipes, and exercise equipment), and you cannot search in the chat so some users questions are asked daily. Overall, I would highly recommend this app to anyone looking for well planned programs with a supportive community!

love love ladder app. I have a long history with fitness and had to take a break - this got me back into a regular routine . it is super easy and affordable . I specificallly have maximus ( coach bobby and joe) as my primary programming- it is simple and effective but have a membership which allows me to pull workouts from other trainers - it’s just a little bit more a month and more than worth it . I specifically pull from andre for mobility and kettlebell options , coach neen for kettlebell , and nicole -for treadmill and flexibility . I like having programmed workouts that I can do at my gym with my music and an easy way to track volume and weight and if you need the accountability - there is a chat room that helps. it has become a part of my daily routine. if you can’t get to the gym - there are plenty of options to do at home or at a hotel . and I rarely have glitches in the app! Highly highly recommend !

A MUST HAVE app. I joined Ladder a month ago to add some variety to my workouts and I couldn’t have made a better decision! I was getting distracted in the gym and spending way too much time there with no direction or focus. The Ladder app has helped me change that with Team Boundless and Ben Greenfield’s coaching style. Our workouts are quick and all encompassing, and I’ve already picked up a ton of helpful movements and practices. I am challenged by the exercises and I feel energized when I’m done. I’ve also been motivated by the other users of the app and the communication with them and the coaches has impressed me quite a bit. The money spent on the app is a fraction of what you would pay for a trainer, and the knowledge and skills you can pick up here are invaluable. Anyone looking for a workout app should make the decision to join Ladder and join us in the effort to be boundless!

Great app. i joined ladder in december of last year. i have been in the gym consistently for a year and doing different programs and working with different trainers. i kept seeing ladder on my tiktok ads and i’m like nah i don’t want to join. then i saw Sarah a lot of my explore page on instagram and i love her body shape! when i joined ladder and did my first workout i was wore out but thought to myself this is something i have been looking for. a new program to push me. i love that she coaches you the whole time in my ear and can still listen to music at the same time. there is a timer and that helps a lot so i am not resting forEVER !! this app is great and very helpful. if there are any tech issues ladder tries their best to get on it right then and there. i am happy i found this app and that it found me ! team ICONIC ☺️

Great app but…. Been using the app for about 3 months. Loving the workouts and the variety and the results I’m getting. My only complaint is the voiceovers from the coach. I typically use my rest period to listen to my music to keep my hyped up and motivated. I can’t do that when my coach (Corey) talks for 75% of my rest period. Sometimes about nothing at all, just aimless rambling. If I turn off the audio ducking I can’t hear what he’s saying because it’s lost in the music. And if I turn audio cues off entirely then I miss valuable form coaching that’s been very useful so far. So if we could either cut the time of the audio coaching or have an option for an abbreviated voiceover that just covers the important stuff that would be great because I often find myself getting extremely agitated that I’m missing favourite parts of songs because Corey is STILL TALKING

for anyone struggling with consistency or progress, SIGN UP!. I’ve been using ladder for a little over a year now and it’s really been amazing. I never thought I’d be the kind of person to wake up early and go to the gym 5-6 times a week but after using ladder that’s who I am now and I really value the gym and movement! The coaches are amazing and I’ve only noticed it glitch 1-2 times over the whole year+ I’ve used it. The communities are encouraging and the way the app is set up really motivates you to be consistent. The only disappointing aspect Id say is that they offer a full year discount if you sign up right as your free trial was ending. I missed that window but signed up for the year and when I emailed they said because I signed up via the Apple Store they couldn’t apply the promotion which I found strange. Anyway, if you are on the fence, I’d say just try it! Youve got so little to lose and lots to gain :-)

Best workout app. Never believed in fitness apps, thought it would make my routine more complicated and will slow me down with staring down at the phone for instructions. BUT this app genuinely elevated my gym experience. Every single exercise is curated and is easy to understand and follow (I’m not a native English speaker and it’s very easy to understand). Journal helps you track your progress with weights and reps you’re doing. There are plenty of teams for you to choose from and join, you can even switch them any time if it accommodates your lifestyle at the moment. Every workout I have followed so far would be possible to do at home or at the gym, yet they are quiet challenging. Overall in love with this app and my progress as I grow with it. Thank you for creating it and thank you Team Limited!

Motivational & Fun. I was having a hard time getting motivated to get back into a workout routine. I have a couple of health conditions that make it hard to lose weight and keep it where it needs to be. Ladder has changed the way I think about my workouts by creating a variety that suits my schedule, my physical needs and pushes me to push my fitness goals. My cardio was suffering for a while and as of just this week, I’m finally able to sprint up to 10mph on the treadmill for a longer period of time than I have in a LONG time. If you’re not sure where to start, don’t have the equipment, or just aren’t quite sure what your fitness level is, this app will definitely have something for you. Every team has an amazing coach on your ear ready to guide you and something unique to offer.

Jennifer and the J Method Rock!!!. This is so much more then your average app. After all you do get Coach Jennifer and the J Method!! Working out at home with the feel of being in a class mixed in with a personal trainer is the way I would describe it. Workouts have been fantastic for every level. If you have any issue or question about a workout you just send a direct message in the one on one chat and Jennifer will help you. To have a coach of this caliber here to help you is absolutely amazing. There’s also a group chat for all of the members that are all so supportive and it’s fantastic. Love this app. I joined Ladder in April of 2022. I’ve been a member of the Team Body & Bell as I love Coach Lauren and Kettlebell training has long been one of my favorite ways to train! At 44 I am injury free, free of chronic pain that often accompanies the autoimmune disease I have, and am gaining strength and maintaining/improving my muscle mass which is one of my goals as I age. My love for the app doesn’t stop there… My 18 year old son will be playing collegiate volleyball fall 2024, he’s using the off season to work on building muscle and strength while keeping his ability to create force and move athletically, staying balanced and injury free. I love that I could sign him up with ladder and a coach that will help him achieve that goal. After looking through the options he decided on Team Reselient with Coach Neen. Thank you Ladder for creating this amazing resource!

Motivation fire!. I have tried it all, not saying other forms of exercise or nutrition are lesser than ladder but for this phase in my life (full time working mother of two young children) ladder is perfect! I don’t have to think, I don’t have to create my own workout plan, I just do. On top of that Coach Courteney is the voice that I needed, she reassures you of your power and pushes you to see it through! Then there’s being a part of a team, how nice it is to count on each other when you’re having an off day! If you’re stuck feeling overwhelmed but wanting to move forward I highly suggest trying ladder! I get all my workouts in from home with minimal equipment. And if you need just a plan for your gym day, ladder coaches do all the leg work for you and you just have to put your ear buds in and complete the workout!

Get the Ladder app yesterday. As a previous personal trainer and group exercise instructor, my workout weakness is overthinking. I feel like putting myself through my own programming often ends up in perfectionism paralysis, and I sometimes am super picky about how other coaches/programming feels. A friend introduced me to the ladder app about a month ago and I just can’t say enough good things about it. I loved that when I first joined on there was a quiz so I could talk about my workout preferences and get a few recommended teams. I also loved that I got a free week to try out a bunch of different teams and see which one fit. The functionality of the app itself is so great for beginners all the way to pros- I love that you can play your music in the background, but that you have your coach in your ear giving you reps and cues, and that you can see the exercise being demoed. The camaraderie within the app is awesome too- being able to chat with your team. Last but not least, Coach Kelly Matthews is incredible. After a few weeks of her programming, my overthinking was able to shut off because I trust her programming and I’m loving how my body is responding. Even more than that, I feel like I’m loving how I’m feeling mentally- strong, consistent, and motivated. Her programming and coaching style are down to earth and approachable, but also empowering. So yeah, go ahead and get the Ladder app yesterday!

The best fitness app I’ve used!. Let me start by saying I’m guilty of almost NEVER leaving reviews for anything, let alone an app. I’ve used a number of fitness apps over the last few years and I can say that I do not plan on switching from Ladder because it’s the BEST. I’ve been consistently using the app since May 2022 on Kelly Matthew’s team Limitless. It really challenges me in the best way possible and I love her strength & conditioning programming. I really couldn’t recommend her team more! The app itself is super user-friendly and easy to use! I like that I can preview everything to prep for the week or following day. Also loving the new journal entry feature to track weights used! It’s obvious that Ladder listens to those using the app and are constantly improving. It’s very rare I’ve had any issue with the app crashing, bugs, etc - I can’t say that about other apps. 👏

Finally reaching my goals. I cannot express how much I love the ladder app. I have tried many different avenues to mainly stay consistent with my fitness goals. I have tried many other things but nothing has kept me as consistent as Ladder. I am on the ICONIC team with Coach Sarah. They are challenging yet DOABLE workouts that leave you feeling good because you attained the workout and not so drained. You are able to come back the next day and give it another go. The voice overs are key to keeping you motivated and in the correct form. I am currently on week 5 and am seeing physical results but the most rewarding results come from within which is consistency and dedication. I went from working out once or twice every few months to working out 4-5 days a week. I am shooting for 6 days.

A Fitness App Like No Other. I have been using fitness apps since the pandemic started and a lot of them are very similar (featuring huge catalogs of on-demand classes). Ladder is different (read: standout) for several reasons. You are assigned a coach and a team with this app. I am on Team Body & Bell with Coach Lauren Kanski. I can chat directly with Lauren and my teammates to ask questions, seek form feedback, and get inspired. Ladder teams follow structured programs designed to progressively build strength, mobility, speed, agility, etc. This is perhaps the most stark contrast from other fitness apps where you can log in and just pick any random workout each day. Since joining the Body & Bell team, I have noticed major improvements in my strength and overall fitness as a direct result of following an intentional program. I have no plans to ever use another fitness app again!

Addicting. I have tried so many on demand workout programs and never have found anything that I was able to find motivation to continue. I never cared for the counting that goes into a lot of workout videos and I just mentally can’t commit. But ..THIS app… completely changed things for me. You get the voice guided motivation while your working out, no counting, you get audio prompts when you almost completed a specific exercise, a workout log attached to each workout that you can actively update during your session….. with motivational completion badges, weekly streaks, and you get to choose a team and coach that caters to a specific workout style, with a team chat platform, a chat about food and recipes, and a chat about equipment. The app sync with your Apple Watch and they launched a new web version! Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

The best training experience in the most convenient way!. I’ve been training/working out consistently for the last 10ish years. I began using Ladder in June of 2020 when I was about 6 months postpartum. I’m not exaggerating when saying I’m literally in the best shape of my life physically and mentally AFTER having my child and give a bunch of credit to Ladder for this. I’ve tried several different coaches throughout my membership and they are all top notch. Currently I’m on Coach Elise’s team and couldn’t be happier with the caliber of the workouts she curates on a weekly basis. I’ve always struggled with plateauing over the decade of training I’ve done. I no longer have that problem with Ladder. All of this goes without saying, Ladder is 1000% the best workout app I’ve used and I’m confident in saying it’s definitely the best one that exists. 10 out of 10! Get Ladder, stick to the program, leverage your Coach and community and you will not be disappointed.

Great investment in yourself !. I have been using different apps and programs for years and like everything , they are not perfect . This app has definitely set a high standard for workout programs to follow because they are extremely user friendly and service a variety of different levels . I am currently doing the Body and Bell program and I absolutely love it ! I have always shyed away from kettle bell workouts since the form has been hard to get down , but the coaches actually allow you send in a video of you doing the exercise and provide feedback on how to improve . That has been extremely helpful ! I have also met other people that use the app at the gym and they have offered to support as well. They also don’t just do kettle bell workouts , but a variety of workouts you can do in the gym , home or outside . I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS APP! Invest in yourself !

Best part of my day 🏋️‍♀️. I joined Ladder in Nov ‘20 with the Body & Bell team and can’t say enough great things about it! It truly is a great fit for anyone of any fitness level— from members just starting out (weights are even optional) to others who are long down the road on their fitness journey. Lauren Kanski is an amazing coach— incredibly smart, empathetic, encouraging, fun. It’s like having a personal trainer for MUCH less $$$ than an in-person trainer. And can I add that having someone program your workouts for you is the BEST. You don’t have to think about what you’re going to do when you walk into the gym (or your “home gym”), you just have to follow instructions and get it done. On top of this, there is the most encouraging and friendly community motivating you to show up every day. 10/10 would recommend!

Here’s why.. I’ve used many apps to hopefully find programs that would allow me to feel fulfilled, and reach a new level of strength and health. This app, did more, IMO. Not just for the program(s) itself, but it carries a touch personal review. Almost like a live “check up”. They (the trainers) keep it real and try to push you to give it that extra 10%. They do not keep the workouts the same, they “spice it up” sometimes, so it maintains the level of consistency and challenge on the table on the daily. This really helps your body condition and shape your body steadily. Other apps haven’t given me that challenge, instead everything is more like a “it is what it is” display. If there was a fitness app that was as close to perfection in comparison to the rest of the fitness apps in the market; this is it. :) ps— coach Kelly is the trainer you want ;P

keep Keep doing the things we love for as long as possible. Ladder and Treigning Day have changed the game for me. Like most fitness apps, within the first trial week, I find so many things I don’t like or feature I wish they had, but not with Ladder. This program is top notch. The community within Treigning Day is so strong and motivating. I’m a software engineer and unfortunately that means I am at my desk a lot. Over the years I noticed how stiff or immobile I became and figured it was just “getting older” but the vision of Treigning Day is to keep doing the things we love for as long as possible. I’ve got a 2 year old who already loves skating and sports and this training has already given me that drive to keep up and do my best for my family and myself. I’ve got about 70 work outs under my best and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon

Outstanding workout app!!. Ladder is a game changer!! At 53 years old I have tried dang near every fitness app available and in the process have wasted a huge amount of time and money! I started working on losing weight about a year ago and have seen more physically noticeable signs of progress in the past 4-6 weeks than I saw in an entire year before. It has become quite obvious that this is because I was shooting from the hip on my workouts. Although I’m very familiar with gym equipment, not having a plan was killing my progress. App itself is VERY easy to use and very user friendly. Integrates with my Apple Watch and I can start the workout and leave it in my pocket for most of the duration. If I want I can add weights or do that after my workout. Like I started with - LADDER IS A GAME CHANGER!!!!

Excellent Programming and Great Community. Ladder Teams has provided an excellent platform for top notch programs by top trainers, like Body and Bell. Lauren Kanski and Meghan Hayden are both fitness icons in their own rights, and combining forces, have created an excellent, customizable program that requires minimal equipment. Though you WILL soon want an entire collection of kettlebells, you certainly won’t need one to get a lot out of the workouts. The community they have brought together is supportive of one another, shares great recipes and other fitness tips/tricks, and is well worth the monthly price which is a 1/3 of a big box gym membership (possibly less if youre a member of a fancy gym). They’ve offered people an easy way to make working out fun again, and the Ladder Teams app UI helps bring it all together into one neat, easy to navigate package. Only critique is that it would be great if we could easily preview what sweet torture lies ahead without pausing the workout.

Virtually Motivated Fitness!!!. Three months ago my coach from Alpha Fit Club (Sam Tooley) introduced me to the LADDER app and his PROJECT ALPHA team. What a life changer!!! With 💯 workouts now completed, I’m 15 pounds lighter, stronger, and far more muscular than I have ever been in my life! The LADDER app has enabled me to be part of an inspiring, and motivating team - PROJECT ALPHA! Yes, it’s virtual, however the dedicated chat room feature has forged a community of like-minded, fitness-committed, and fun individuals (every team has their own chat room). Our coach and owner of Alpha Fit Club, Sam Tooley, is a fitness guru who is committed to creating a unique set of daily workouts, each week. The workouts cover cardio, strength, mobility, and overall fitness, with Coach Sam providing instruction and motivation during each workout. Best App Out There. worked out off and on for years live a pretty active lifestyle and consider myself as athletic but, have always struggled putting weight on and keeping it on. Meanwhile I get the ladder app thinking this would just be another routine app with monologue directions and repetitive workouts over and over,not the case with ladder you choose a goal and a coach for that path. Coach Corey builds the plans weekly offers direct advice, the app also has commentary during the workouts (not just the usual pep talk and generic motivations), they give detailed advice like key parts of each workout to focus on, so not only do you gain physically you learn how and what made you gain during the workouts. I would recommend this app for anyone who is truly serious about improving fitness and reaching those goals.

The BEST at-home workouts!. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE LADDER APP!!!!!! I have paid for many exercise apps and gym memberships in the past!!! I get excited for each of them and quickly fall off the band-wagon! Courtney on the LADDER app has inspired me and has kept me going for several months now!! I’m OBSESSED with the changes my body has made with these workouts in such a short amount of time. Ladder, using the personal trainer Courtney, has given me hope to be in shape in my 40’s. All workouts are under 1 hour and can easily fit in my busy schedule. I look forward to each workout as they are all different!!! Courtney makes the workouts easy to follow and gives words of encouragement throughout! Plus, I think if I do the same exercises as Courtney that I could possibly look just like her one day!! Haha!!

Wonderful App!. I love this App! I have used several workout apps as well as gone to the gym and hired a personal trainer. This app is pretty much the best of both worlds! I can use it at the gym or at home. It lets me track my workout days. If I don’t feel like that days scheduled workout I can go do another days or go back if I skipped a day. They have demonstration videos of each move that I can review before my workout, and I can keep track of my reps (sometimes I do more, sometimes less) and weights as well as take notes on how I felt. It’s easy to pause the workouts and it is easy to add prep time if needed during the workout. An even bigger bonus is I can use this app if I am traveling so I don’t have to miss a workout plus it links with my Apple fitness App as well.

Absolutely love this app. Team Body & Bell (LOOOVE Coach Lauren)!!! This app is the only thing that has kept me consistent with working out so far! It has everything you need in one easy-to-access app: nutrition, recipes, meal prep ideas, quick answers, workouts for every fitness level, support, community, team competitiveness, tips on best air fryers and workout equipment, you name it— this app has it! Coach Lauren has been sooo fundamental in my fitness journey— she has a great way of speaking that is straight & to the point but full of love & care at the same time. She really knows how to say the perfect words to make you “get” the particular step (drive with your heel, reach your knuckles thru the roof, etc) and is always a quick message away for form checks and other general questions. She keeps things fun while making your body burn 🔥

Several fitness coaching apps hugely lack an authentic sense of community. The team-oriented approach to fitness and progress being targeted through Ladder Teams tackles that void in a big way.

Love this app. This app is so nice because it tells you when you have 10 seconds of rest/rep time left, and with my specific team (coach Sarah on team iconic) she explains proper form tips during the exercises to remind you it’s the form that matters, so you are safe during your lifts. she’s also extremely motivating for the days you don’t feel 100%. I’m sure the other coaches are great as well, this app is focused on your goals, they’ll match you with a coach that will get you where you want to be. it is so worth it with the team group chat and personal coach chat to help you stay accountable and focused. this is by far my favorite app and I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve tried all the different apps. To All the ladies reading this check out coach Sarah ❤️ she’s everything you want in a personal trainer! Booty gains and confidence focused you’ll feel stronger than ever ( and that’s after 2 babies)

Best Decision Ever!. Last year I joined Ladder to switch up my fitness routine, to get out of my comfort zone. I was pleased with how easy it was to get started but even more so that this app allowed me to try it out for free with no pressure or weird sales gimmick. I’ve learned so much from the coaches I’ve worked with. I’ve found my perfect fitness style of strength training. I have a routine and I’ve been able to stay consistent with all my workouts. I love that there are 6 weeks of new workouts and programs. First time I’ve not gotten bored and just quit. I can honestly say that I love this app and what it stands for and it’s refreshing and motivating to look forward to my workouts daily. I also love that you can track your fitness progress and earn badges for completing workouts or hitting PR’s.

Team Alpha delivers. And then some.. I'm an avid exerciser and didn't think a workout app was for me. I thought they were just for people looking to be motivated to exercise, but Ladder is so much more. I did the free week trial and got to try out the different teams and coaches. I immediately clicked with Team Alpha. I thought I knew what I was doing working out on my own, but since training with Coach Sam I'm blown away by the fact that I'm reaching for heavier dumbbells that I rarely touched before, I'm feeling more energy throughout the day, and even my mental focus is on point. I'm training smarter than I ever have, and seeing the results. Besides the killer workouts there's so much support and encouragement in the team chat. The Alpha family are wonderful people from all walks of life sharing this fitness journey. Coach Sam offers inspirational gold in the videos he posts to the group. It's not just about fitness, but the mindset you approach everything in your life with. You may sign up to Team Alpha for the physical benefits, but I guarantee it will extend to all areas of your life. Thanks to Coach Sam for the time and effort he puts in to creating our workout plan each week. You can tell how dedicated he is to the team and fitness. Best affordable workout community out there. I joined ladder for a little competition Sam Tooley was talking about on Instagram to win a theragun. So I downloaded the app for a one week free trial (no card necessary which is literally the best) and loved the app so much I payed for the monthly membership. I absolutely love the community and accountability this app provides. It’s amazing to see everyone’s progress in the chat and all the motivational videos team members can post. I also love how the coaches can check in with you personally on the app and how you can ask for modifications to exercises if need be. The workouts are very straightforward and easy to follow along (that doesn’t mean the workouts aren’t hard). You have coach Sam demonstrating each move with you as you are completing the workouts. It’s basically like having a coach in your ear as you’re working out. I was only going to use the app for the challenge for the theragun, but haven’t gotten rid of it yet. It’s just that good!!!

Ladder is life changing!. I have started work out regimens countless times and I never follow through, mostly because I have no clue what to do. Then I joined a local boot camp which was fun because of all the people interaction but with 4 kids and the boot camp at a specific time, it became too difficult to keep up with. Then I came across Ladder and it’s a mix of all the things I love, a plan set for me that I can do at home on my own time and a community to connect with. I also like that they have you list all the equipment you currently have at home and match you with a coach that uses that equipment so you’re not constantly having to find ways to modify and leave feeling like you didn’t do enough because you didn’t have the equipment they used. I wake up every day excited to do my work out and that’s not something I’ve ever said!

Love this app !! Best app around !. I’ve been searching for the right app for over 4 months trials after trials on all diferente app there is !!!! And I’m so happy i found Ladder !!! This is everything I’ve been looking for ! Also coaches are amazing, supportive, and the chat groups and community amazing overall !! After my 7 days trial I couldn’t wait to signed up and get to learn and try more of this app !! I’m on week 3 and now I’m mad for not a signing up for the whole year instead !! Don’t make the same mistake ! Signed up for the whole year you’ll love it !! Mom of 2 my youngest is 3 years old I workout in my garage, very easy app you can pause it if you get busy for some reason. I just love this app! My searching is done ! Absolutely the best. I love this app so much!! I never thought I would pay for a workout app but this one is 100% worth it. I tried the free trial and didn’t intend to use it paid but it won me over. It motivates me by keeping me in touch with my teammates in chat and by the “teammate cheers” feature, and also helps me build discipline because I genuinely love these workouts and how it’s changing my body. I have fomo when I miss a day so I rarely do. Frankly I paid for a whole year ahead that’s how much I love the app. I get to workout from home so I even invested in some more non expensive home equipment which isn’t necessary for the app but it makes me wanna invest in my fitness. It’s been less than a month and I already can see a difference in my body and my strength level. Love team define and coach Maia! So excited to have found this app.

Download immediately. I have never written a review for an app before but this app deserves ALL the praise and more. I have been struggling for YEARS to find a program that checks off all of my needs and wants and I’m so so so thrilled to have stumbled upon Ladder. I was someone who felt overwhelmed with other fitness apps and their thousands of workout videos, never knowing which ones to do on which days and craving a little more structure and guidance without the hefty cost of a personal trainer. This program is exactly what I was looking for. Different workouts each day programmed to stack upon work you’ve done previously and an amazing supportive community to go with it. Team Align has been incredible and Sasha is the most amazing human and coach and I’m so grateful to be on her team. Keep up the amazing work Ladder, you are changing lives!!!!!

You provide the work ethic, they do all of the rest!. I have remained fairly active/athletic the majority of my life. When it came to working out I rarely lacked the motivation or work ethic to get it done, but I often struggled with the programming. I was just not good with keeping my programming both fresh and productive. Ladder not only removed all of the thinking involved, but I’ve also learned a lot simply by being a member. Most importantly I have been using the app for about 6 weeks and at the age of 60 I continue to see strength gains to the point that I am unsure if I’ve ever been as strong. I credit the excellent progressive programming by Coach Neem and Team Resilient. If you want results, regardless of your fitness level, (and without all of the thinking necessary to get proven results), the give Ladder a try. Besides, NOT giving the free trial period a try just doesn’t make sense 😂.

Great app, no support. I love this app! The workouts are amazing, I love not having to think about what I’m going to do in the gym and being able to just do an effective workout that makes me WORK. That being said, I upgraded to the annual membership but I lost access to the coach chat so I cannot direct message my coach anymore once I was out of the 30 day trial. No where on the app is anywhere to contact support or settings to ‘upgrade’ my account which is the notice I get when I am in the coach messages. Please advise! I want to be able to fully use my account and nowhere on the page where you had to upgrade to the membership did it say that coach messages were only included in the next level membership so I feel like this might just be an error with my account. Nonetheless, annoying because reviewing the app is my only course of correction and hoping someone sees this. Will update if I ever get help!

Love the app!!. Several years ago I had a personal trainer and really wanted that experience again but couldn’t afford it again. Then I found this app and it has given me that experience. Even though I’ve never met my coach I can or the other people on my team I’m able to connect with them and get feedback. I love getting the cheers while I’m a workout, it is a huge motivation. I find myself looking at the weeks workouts as soon as they drop on Sundays. I love having the ability to check out the different coaches and find a program that fits what I’m looking for. It’s great going into a workout not having to worry about what I’m going to, it’s totally programmed out yet I have the ability to adjust things to my level. I think it’s great no matter what your fitness level and I’ve even gotten my husband hooked on it! It’s by far the best money I have spent in a long time!!

Needs improvement. This is a great app if you want to just “get after it” and do a workout that makes you sweat. Other than that, I find everything else about it very confusing, things move too fast, there’s nothing that sets a “baseline” for you and recommends weight amounts to use, it’s like everything is moving so fast “sure F it I’ll do 30 lbs each dumbbell in this one without actually tracking what I did last week or the week before.” I can’t even figure out how to set what weight amounts or track the amounts I used. Also there’s no alternatives to exercises, if you can’t do lunges because of bad knees, we’ll just figure it out on your own I guess. Maybe I’m missing something. I’m also convinced team chat is full of AI bots making it feel more alive and active than it really is, and direct coach chat is nothing but canned responses, no actual real interaction with the coach.

Love this app. I have been using this app for 6 weeks, and it’s absolutely what I need. I was looking for a progressive overload strength program, and it has everything I need. I’m on the Define team that includes strength and Pilates. It’s the perfect combination for me. There’s a workout for each day so I don’t have to think about what to do next. There are so many features that I enjoy. I love that I can use my own music, there’s a built in journal to track your weights and reps, the Apple Watch haptics are great for the 10 sec countdown. I also like that I can skip a section if I’m low on time. And Coach Maia is wonderful! Her instructions are helpful and she suggests modifications for ability or equipment. There’s also a community for the team to chat to share ideas and motivation. Ladder is everything I didn’t know I needed!

Best App I’ve found For More Nontraditional Training and Exercising. I started using this app beginning of January 23 after trying to find a workout app that fit my exercise style. Honestly think I tried 5 other apps before I signed up to Ladder. This app is nice because it allows you to join a community or “ladder team” that fits your style and allows you to communicate with a bunch of people that are trying to better their everyday fitness and spread motivation to get in the gym and make a better version of themselves. I love the app because the workouts aren’t extremely repetitive week in and week out. I personally dislike repetitive workouts and rep schemes without any change. Does the app have bugs and glitches? Yeah, it’s software, and it’s always going to have some problems. But the Ladder team is always coming out with releases to improve their platform as so many people sign up. Don’t complain about the bugs or glitches. Just redownload it and it will be back up. Highly recommend if you like a variety of workouts that push your limits compared to traditional lifts. Don’t mind having well scripted out workout plans. And love seeing progress in your workout journey. Extra plus, your motivation to stay consistent will increase as you find yourself motivated by everyone in the community channels.

Simple and effective workouts. Don’t let the title fool you - these workouts can be challenging, but the movement and ease of the app are simple. The workouts build upon themselves as the week progresses and helps you target the muscles in a specific order and takes the guesswork out of home workouts. You have a coach talking at you the whole time. Just simple instruction and explanation of breathing techniques along with the proper form. The video keeps going the whole time allotment for each exercise, but I love that someone isn’t trying to keep me entertained and allows me to concentrate on what I’m doing. Give it a try - the trial is what hooked me and I’m so glad I went for it. I’ve seen improvement in strength and the fit of my clothes in just a few weeks. You won’t regret giving it a shot!

Best App for Gym Beginners. I’ve always been afraid to go to the gym because I didn’t know what workouts to do or how the machines worked or how many reps. I feel like the most challenging aspect of working out to me is figuring out what I should do each day and I genuinely would not work out if it wasn’t for this app. I’m on team movewell with coach nicole and I love her dumbbell workouts because I can do them at the gym or at home and I can do something new every day. It’s like having a personal trainer without the cost. Also you can preview the movements before you work out which I often do so I don’t look like I don’t know what I'm doing. My favorite thing about Ladder is sending and receiving cheers from my teammates when working out because it’s so encouraging. Overall I would 10/10 recommend this, especially if you’re afraid of the gym like me.

Love it. I tell everyone I know about this app and how much I love it! I have never ever in my life worked out consistently but something about this app has totally changed the way I feel about working out and fitness. I look forward to my workouts everyday. The community is so supportive and amazing. The workouts are dynamic and incredibly effective. I have two kids, am 8 months postpartum and I'm in the best shape of my life. I was worried that I would get the annual membership and be met with a repeat of the same 10 prerecorded workouts but I’ve yet to have a duplicate workout. They are all different and you truly get brand new ones every Monday. Coach Maia is responsive in the chat, the other members are encouraging and the workouts are easy to modify if needed. If you are even slightly interested, take the plunge!

Best app you can get for serious workouts.. I’ve been powerlifting for a while and I wasn’t new to the gym. I joined ladder and team Forged at the recommendation of a friend. And about 2.5 weeks into my 30 day trial I bought my yearly subscription. The coach in team forged leads you through each workout personally. I mean it’s a recording but still he’s there telling you what to do with a video of him doing it. The workouts are progressive overloads meant for body building and they’re high intensity. I’ll upping my PR every week. It’s really worth it I strongly recommend this app if you want to get serious. Helps with motivation a lot having a pre planned real bodybuilding program and a team to chat with. Also the badges make it kind of a game which helps motivation a lot haha. Get it now and get to the gym!
