Best app ever. It is so beneficial to society it’s not even funny, we can grow so much intellectually and so much faster if this app was widely advertised and used among more people! I swear I have never given an app more respect and dedication and I actually set aside time to use this app daily and I have never done that with an app before. I promise it is worth every 100$! Think about how cheap that is relative to what your begging for it?!? It’s insane! Hundreds (I think it is thousands actually but j incase I’m like 50/50 on which one it is) but hundreds to thousands of books that are easily understood I think a 13 year old would get how they explain some of these text. It is so awesome and so worth it!

Excellent content but can use UI/ UX improvements. Thank you team for putting together this wonderful nuggets of lessons and learnings. You have truly made consuming this content fun and more likely for my memory to retain. I wish to see the following UX improvements if you can: 1. Responsiveness of the app to iPad landscape mode - Why? There is a segment of people who like to read information/ books like how they read a regular book. Also deciding weather to hold the iPad vertically or horizontally is the first decision a user makes and it’s important to not make them revise their decision because the app is not responsive. 2. Ability to save the nuggets offline- I often read when I’m in the plane (like many) when there is no network. It is disappointing that lucid doesn’t download the whole nugget so it’s a wasted opportunity when you can gain some “hrs” from the user on your app 3. Getting to know the person who summarized/ visualized the key ideas- A little intro about the person and the ability to thank them for putting together a wonderful nugget will go a long way in keeping the user value each nugget more and your team appreciated.

frustrating screen orientation on iPad. I absolutely love what this app does but I can’t believe that in 2023 you can’t allow the screen to reorient on the ipad, which means it’s for iPhone and not for iPad. Many of us do our reading on our iPad but because the app doesn’t allow the screen to re-orient when I use my iPad in the horizontal position like a laptop (which is 100 percent of the time), I have to hold my iPad vertically or prop it up. I find myself deciding not to do my imprint readings at coffee shops, etc. because this is extremely awkward and the iPad gets quite heavy if I have to hold it that way for long and impossible if I’m juggling coffee, etc. When you make the next update, can’t you please add a genuine ipad version so that I can use it? Seriously, on most iOS development apps, this is literally accomplished by clicking on a checkbox before compiling. As I say, I love the app but if you can’t put out an iPad friendly version then I am going to end my subscription once the freebie week is over. Once that happens, I won’t be back as there are other more iPad friendly options out there. I really would like Imprint the best if it weren’t for this limitation that is basically developer imposed.

Unable to cancel subscription. I tested the software for a few use on the first 7 days and did not realize the trial period ended in 7 days and I get automatically charge for a 1 full year subscription. I have not use the app after the 7 days trial and forget about having the app. I did not realize my account get charged until after 60 days. I trial to contact Apple support and also the developer to cancel the remaining months of my subscription. I get push around between Apple and the developer with no solutions. The answer is always you have missed the 60 days to cancel and we can’t help you. I was willing to pay for the 60 days due to my own mistake, but Apple will not refund me for the remaining months that I was not using the app. I don’t even have a valid account to sign in to the app. This is very upsetting and bad practice process. I hope do not happen to others. Beware of when testing out the app.

The content runs out if you’re an avid user. I enjoyed this app immensely in the beginning. However, after reading all the quality content, I found they are exceptionally slow to add new titles. I had to cancel my subscription since there is no longer enough/any good content left to sustain this cost, and it’s unfortunate to have paid so much and wait out your subscription until it expires rather than getting anything back for them not living up to providing new content. New titles are not added in a timely fashion to support an avid user who is simply meeting the goal (their goal) of 3 chapters a day, so unfortunately I cannot recommend this app and ended up being quite disappointed by it.

Please make this app Hortizonal. I used the trial period to test out Imprint and absolutely loved it. It was a great companion for the book I was reading, and I found that several books on my reading list were available on the app. My only desire was for the app to have a horizontal UI option. I primarily use my iPad and Magic Keyboard as my main set up, and found it a bit annoying having to undock the ipad, turn it vertical, and then redock it to take notes on the book. If the app had horizontal capabilities, I would definitely subscribe.

Navigate to the Point. Quick and easy to learn key points. Most Books are written in ways that are structured with an array of examples that aim to guide readers to the point of a chapters. However, after reading my first chapter with the app, I realized that books are not interactive and that the interpretation of a chapter does not immediate have feedback as the app does. "In real life" we only have a feedback from what we read in three ways: talking an exam, in group studies, and or while in class discussing the chapter while in class. This method of reading is highly efficient. J.Iglesias, M.P.A.

Digital Brilliance. I have seen this app for a while but I finally downloaded it days ago. It is definitely one of the best apps I've seen in terms of UI and content. My memory and comprehension abilities have quickly become augmented via this app. The daily quiz ensures that I'm actually learning and understanding what I'm reading, thanks to the utilization of beautiful visuals to enhance the content extracted from various books or courses. However, the monthly membership is pricey! If you can't afford the yearly membership of $99, you'll end up paying much more on a monthly subscription. Thus I purchased a yearly membership. So far, no regrets!

Dark mode would be greatly appreciated. Very well made app! Only suggestion I would make is an option for dark mode. I tend to read at the end of the day, and as such am usually trying to minimize bright screen light. Granted, I imagine this has come up and dark mode wouldn’t be easy to implement and maintain (since this app has many graphics), but it could be worthwhile based on the potential gain in customer satisfaction. Even if the graphics need to be surrounded by white still, some dark mode would be better than none in my opinion. Overall though, very pleased!

Lucid is a way to learn while still being visually fulfilled. I like social media because I can lose myself in the entertainment of it all, however, I don’t always feel like I’m learning anything, and it’s a waste of my time, which makes me anxious, defeating the purpose of the practice. This app, Lucid, it gives me the satisfaction that I’m looking, and I feel good about it! To the makers of this app, thank you. And to anyone out there on the fence about the platform, give the free trial a try, it’s worth it.

Often buggy and frozen, but nice when it works. I would be tolerant of some bugs in a free app, but I’m paying for the subscription and haven’t been able to use the app in a couple days because it’s frozen when I open it. Prior to this, the daily quiz doesn’t always appear and there isn’t a good way to find it in the app. Often, to keep reading a book I started, I have to dig back through my library to find it, because it disappears from the home page. Many of the book contents are nice ways to get the gist of the idea - kind of like watching a 20 minute synopsis presentation of the book. Lots of popular nonfiction books available. They don’t cover all of the key takeaways you would get if you read the actual book, but if you’re interested there’s a link to the full book at the end of each one in the app.

Very Pleasantly Surprised. I’m one of those “I never write a review” folks. Also, for years have rejected summary / idea distillation platforms out of hand because I had seen them dumb down critical information in ways that are not productive. Lucid, IMO, is a game changer in this regard. Thoughtful graphics and focus on discrete (but very clearly connected) ideas makes it a compelling way to both learn new ideas and also decide if you want to invest precious time in a book. The psychology of focusing on discrete information blocks is well known and the app creators/ product team / devs / everyone else involved has 100% killed it. Best App Store money I’ve spent in a very long time!

Lots to like, lots of irritations, costs WAY too much. I got this app to replace Facebook as my go-to idle reading. Good idea, right? Big concepts distilled into small chunks for easy reading. I have even bought some of the original books these are based on. Good stuff, a nice morning reading ritual, and a great way to make idle time useful by learning or re-learning. I got the Yearly Subscription. But, just four months later, I am canceling it. Here’s why. $100 per year is just too dang much. I feel they put too much energy (money) into rather distracting animated graphics. A diagram? Sure. But a fully produced PowerPoint book report? Too much, unnecessary, irritating. One sentence per page. What is this? Twitter? You can put more than one sentence per page. It’s like a click-bait listicle version of a book. Just keep clicking so we can track your engagement! 🙄 Finally, a myriad of small UI problems ranging for basic order-of-operations to larger navigation weirdnesses. So yeah. There it is. Not for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Great product, but can’t use cross devices. The content and learning approach with visuals is great. However, I downloaded and paid for this initially on my iPhone. Now I am trying to use this on my iPad, but have been prompted to buy your product again to continue. There is oddly no Account management area on your app to... manage your account, password, see subscription status, etc. I hope this is coming soon. Giving this app 3 stars for now. I will come back and resubmit updated review(s) per progress I see in this regard. I really need to be able to view this on a larger screen on my iPad as I get eye fatigue with the small screen on my iPhone. Thanks!

The best quick way of learning new topics. I’ve always struggled with reading books, and sometimes even listening to audiobooks for two reasons. They are time consuming, and it’s hard to retain information and recognize what’s relevant to you and what isn’t. Imprint changed all that for me. A quick 10 minute read every day adds valuable information to my fund of knowledge. The visual presentation makes it really easy to understand and remember. If I want to learn more about the topic, I can buy the book.

Like the idea, not so much the execution. I’m a visual learner, so I was excited to have an app in which I could just scroll but actually gain something from it. Honestly I love the idea of this app but it’s just not worth the $100/year commitment (maybe a monthly subscription but with the lack of enough engaging content, I just can’t see myself committing to this app for an entire year). Additionally, I would love if there was any way to download books for reading offline (on the plane, the road, etc) and with the small amount of data per book this should not be a problem on the development side. Overall, this app has great potential, but it’s just not quite there yet for me to pay and commit to it.

My favorite app. I never write reviews, but I just had to come on here and rave about Lucid. I love learning, I’m a creative and very visual person, and also I have ADHD. Lucid is an absolute dream. Lucid communicates such digestible and enjoyable content, I have to remind myself to slow down and let the information I just learned sink in and process before moving onto a new subject! From practical learning to philosophical and everything in between, I absolutely love learning with Lucid. I have already started taking some of what I’ve learned and incorporated it into my work every day and wow, I just can’t say enough good things about this app. If you love learning and have very diverse interests but never enough time to learn about all of them, this is the perfect app for you. Also premium is worth the money if you can swing it. It’s the best subscription I’m paying for right now.

Really like the app. But the icon NEEDS to be updated.. I waited to long to actually use this app after downloading, likely because the icon/logo is so boring. This might sound like a silly complaint, but I have so many apps on my phone that when I see something that look like a library logo from 1995, it’s easy to skip over. The app itself is so beautifully designed. The icon is a stark contrast to that. To the developers: please have a designer refresh your logo and icon. As a seasoned UX Designer I predict tons more app engagement if you do this.

weird business model but ok. the cards are just simplistic flowcharts with a sentence beside it. an important sentence, sure. but it basically resembles someone’s notes after reading the book. here’s my problem: why would i pay for someone’s notes? each book’s lucid thing probably takes like, an hour total to make, not including time reading. the goal of this app is to make education more accessible, i thought, but this app could probably easily sustain itself on a genuine free business model. even if half of the books were unlocked for free you could still make it work with good unlockable features. but no lol. the whole thing is behind a paywall to the point where it’s stupid that this is even listed as a free app. my suggestion is to NOT pirate books, do not google “free pdf book title” and look around because that’s bad and you shouldn’t do that.

Saving me!. So i recently have joined the Army. I’m under a ton of stress. My boyfriend passed away about 2 weeks ago. I’m struggling a lot and i don’t like to ask for help. This app has really helped me gather my thoughts and ground me back to my body and mind. I have a new perspective on how I want to live my life and move forward…live in the moment. Thank you to the creators for providing such a great tool with wonderful views and studies on so many helpful topics. I hold this app dearly to me. It helps me a lot at night when I’m tossing and turning in my thoughts. I left a comment if you could add some topics on grief and loss It would really mean a lot to me as well as others. Keep up the good work with this app :)

Useful, but ironic. The app is smooth and responsive. It’s intuitive and yada yada yada. It will make you a smarter and more knowledgeable person for a price. I’ve contemplated this a lot and looked and the statistics and the fact is when education was free, Americans were smarter. You want to take the very thing that’s diminishing our collective IQ and make it a useful tool to educate the masses. I get it but to do that at a price is antithetical to your very mission. You want to make dumb people smarter, dumb people usually have less than everyone else. That’s sort of how it works or has worked until recently. When things were easier and cheaper you could provide it for free. You still can through nonprofit organizations. You could argue that it’s expensive to develop this tech. I’m not arguing that, I’m saying if you want to change the world you have to step up and do it.

Neurodivergents: DOWNLOAD THIS NOW!. Another “I never write reviews but I have to for this” post. Lucid has changed the game. I’ve read 12 books in a week. In a week! I’ve always thought 90% of most books are filler, and Lucid takes the key points and cuts out the rest. I’ve started taking notes in the notes app so I can reflect later on. It’s nothing to do 10 chapters a day, and I can remember everything I’ve read! If you have ADHD or a neurodivergent mind, this app is 100% a must have is worth the cost of membership. I can’t wait to see more titles added in the business & philosophy sections, but you have a lifelong customer in me!

Try it. It’s worth keeping!. I really enjoy the images and main ideas highlighted in each mini chapter. I typically lose focus and interest when attempting to read a whole book. I’m very interested in the topics, desire to learn, and this app gives me the nuggets of information I need in ways I can easily process (reading & visual). I’m very reluctant to spend money on subscriptions to apps, but this is worth it. I’ll sacrifice other items in my budget to make room for Lucid.

Help Perspective. I'm not a social media junkie but in todays world yes we need some of the technologies to do our jobs keep up with loved ones etc. But the simple fact is it was called the Boob tube as far back as I can remember! Now we have a Boobtube on our wrists on our computers we literally have these walking talking devices that can go everywhere. We rob ourselves of the simple things n life like nature, being in it, listening to the birds. This is a perfect way to learn different interests and get something back from your time on whatever device your on. I always have said that education is our most powerful tool, any day I can learn something new even a new word of the day is a good day! Being a nurse I know the capabilities our brains can accomplish and it's so far more powerful but we don't even use a fraction of it. I say well if God gave it to me I should use it like it's any other part of my body, stretch it expand it this app does just that !

Praise & Feedback. Praise: Thank you for summarizing great books in such informative ways! Looking forward to using this app more. Feedback: From a psychological standpoint, if you enable the feature of an reward effect when finishing a chapter, and even greater reward for finishing a book (think confetti & moving the book to the finished section in your library with flashy excitement and accomplishment) you will encourage people to keep going because they want that feeling of accomplishment. Anyway, good stuff, thought the feedback might be easy to implement and possible effective. Keep up the good work!

So Far, Excellent!. I’m new to this but what a fabulous idea! I’ve just started Lucid and I’m loving it so far. I’d enjoy a few little videos too - but not too many as I feel it’s important to try and stay focused on reading as these days life is one big distraction and it’s important to learn to focus and stay focused on reading as it helps in so many ways. BUT a few educational, short videos would be great. But this is a really great app. I LOVE the chapter reviews where you get to choose an answer to a hidden word as that really helps cement what I’ve learned. And the chapters are such a fun, bite sized size that they’re super easy to read. Really great!!!

great concept, bad app. concept is great, but lacking very basic things: 1) search button. seriously no search button? 🙂 2) tab with current book that I’m listening or reading. they are many people like me, when you start reading/listing some book but them decided to switch to another one, but still want to continue some time. in progress tab should be different than saved tab in my view, or at least split by two section, “saved for later” and “in progress”. 3) when you started to read book, and later on when you come back, you must continue to read and you cant play it instead? why 😩 4) why can’t I listen and look at the slides at the same time? I find it extremely good when book is playing and in parallel I can look at pictures for visualization. I figured it out how to do it, but this should be in app functionality 😉 5) program extremely extremely laggy, at least on my iphone X, and my ipad pro 2nd generation keeps crushing, maybe it is better on latest devices 🤷🏻‍♂️ if all that fixed, this would be best abstract reading/listing app, and it would definitely worth pay for subscription, for now I’m not sure if I’m going to extend mine, too much hustle

ALICE DOWN. I live in Athens, Texas. I am 38 years old, and I start using at the age of 13 due to an anonymous person who shot me up with heroin. I love psychedelics. I am, on this day of August 4th, 2023, straightening up! I can’t say sober. Not because it’s so dull and I’ll be once again squared, but because I am not me on my best “sober christened” day; and, there’s that one thing. I’m an addict. I, also, have psichzo-affective disorder> the bipolar type and panic disorder. I am currently on medication and I shared that I use gummies to cope with my symptoms. My doctor recently had to “taper down” all individuals which used controlled psychiatric medicines at the “local” mental health “facil”. I was on 1/2 mg (oh well) and kept it for about 5 months, a 90 day supply. I don’t agree.

Japanese Lifestyle. The Japanese lifestyle will keep you alive a lot longer and have less. We are in tear on your body and it keeps you stress-free and away from distractions and I am learning so much so quickly that I’m finally starting to learn the app and not have to use all the things I was copying and forwarding to myself through text messages. I assume that you guys are storing everything in my photos google photos I love this way of learning and I am so happy that you guys took me on because I need to change my lifestyle and I need to do it now and every single day! Thank you so much, James Pendrick for having faith in me.

Love the app. Never written a review but I just had to say how much I like this app. Originally had the free trial and forgot to cancel but actually thankful that I did and now have premium. Before imprint, I found myself scrolling on social media way too much and was frustrated that I have such little attention span to learn. So I set a timer on the app and now use the urge to scroll for imprint! This has been such a nice little stepping stone to building healthier habits. It’s not intimidating as I usually get starting big books so I think this will help me narrow down on subjects I want to learn more about!! I really do enjoy the visuals and summaries and hoping there will be a lot more! Def worth the money.

Can’t See All The Content. I love the concept, and I’m liking the app so far in my trial, but the explore page doesn’t have proper margins on my device and the section headers are cut off as well as the leftmost part of the first title on each row. When doing chapters, there are several occasions, especially in a recap or Q/A where whole chunks of a bullet point are hidden below the bottom of the page and the page is not scrollable. I’d happily pay the subscription fee and adjust this rating if these bugs were addressed. But I have a feeling this will get really grating, and after paying a ton of money for one buggy app (Motion), I want to avoid that for now.

Worth it. I’m a college student trying to read as much as I can. I fall in and out of reading due to my horrible attention span and varying interests, but Imprint helps me stay engaged, and after their readings, I retain more information than I would if I read on my own. I would recommend it to anyone trying to pick up better habits and learn more, and the fact that it allows me to personalize my reading experience without breaking too much into the bank makes it so worth it. It’s super hype

Huge fan - for readers who don’t always remember. I love reading and learning. I’m the type to highlight everything I find interesting so I can remember...but still struggle to remember all the valuable information I read. Lucid is SUCH a brilliant app - helps you spend time on key book concepts in a visual way, so you have more chances of remembering what you learn. There’s also a quick interactive recap / quiz at the end to train your brain and avoid just a passive experience. It made me realize that the key to memory is taking a more active role in your intellectual consumption. Lucid does just that. Thank you, this app seems to be the answer to one of my biggest needs 🙏🙏🙏 Grateful!! Ps. Also UX/UI and graphics are super slick. Hope the team can sustain the production long term!

A brilliant way to learn…. I often browse Instagram quite aimlessly. In some ways it has replaced channel surfing as a form of entertainment. What I really long for is more meaningful content to transform this mindless scroll into an effective use of time. Lucid has an intuitive user interface, throughly engaging, value add animations and supporting effective consumption of some of the most useful info out there. I find myself putting down Instagram and picking up lucid. My brain, my development, my wife and my life thanks you.

Really great!. Here’s the cliché line about never doing reviews, but it’s true! I have an extremely busy life being a newly single mom of a SN child and freshly back into the workforce full-time after a long time staying at home raising kiddos. Add ADHD to the mix and it feels like there is never any “me” time. This app has been like finding gold. The time I spend on it, is honestly worth something, and I don’t feel like I’ve taken any time away from anyone else. Perfect for my lifestyle and has kept me from complete burnout. 10/10 recommend.

Poor Free Access. So far I’ve been pretty disappointed with the experience since it seems like the entire app basically needs to be paid for ($100 a year) to be functional. I can only read the brief synopsis of each book without getting into the following chapters so it’s kinda depressing that there isn’t like a free library that I’ve found. Still gonna keep up with it for a bit to see if it catches on but it just doesn’t seem like there’s enough content available for free to last for any considerable amount of time. And a lot of the topics are pretty basic so I have no interest in spending $100 for access to something with very googlable topics. I have no issues with reading through pages of research so the “good for ADHD” component means very little to me when the content is kind of dry

… All I can say is: WOW!. I’m trying the 7 day free trial and I am blown away so far. SO ENGAGING! I’ve always been the type that learned better with visuals and short bursts of useful information. This nails it!!! My favorite part? I’ll be reading something awesome and I think… gee this would really help this person in my life… AND THEN IT LETS ME SHARE WHAT IM READING WITH SOMEONE EVEN IF THEY DONT HAVE TO APP!!! Literally - SO COOL! Huge fan so far! Keep it up you guys! Add the 10X Rule by Grant Cardone as soon as you can please! Rich dad Poor dad by Robert kiosaki would be good, and The One Thing by Gary Keller!! My only complaint would be the emphasis on social issues and topics that seem to be found in here… can we keep it to the greatest books and ideas of all time please? Let’s keep politics and social issues out of it!!!

I find myself craving time with this app. I’ve always laughed at the “I never write reviews, but…” reviews. Well here’s karma, because it’s my turn. I don’t write many reviews (at all) but I am so happy with Lucid that I had to. The content is first-rate, the visuals and storyboarding work well for my ADHD self, the format is intuitive, the layout clean, the quizzes incredibly helpful, and like one review said… this has replaced my doom-scrolling of social media with valuable learning and growth. I crave this app. And I love it’s iPad friendly, too… makes reading so much more enjoyable. Side note: help is fantastic… I reached out over synching issues and the response was A+ from a genuinely helpful and concerned team. This is a great way to get the key concepts from the most relevant titles of our time… and if one really hits a home-run with you… it’s quite the test drive before you buy the full book. I can’t begin to count how many apps I delete after the trial period, so this is out of my norm… my trial period is up tomorrow… and I’m all-in for the full version. Test Lucid and really dive in… you’ll be glad you did.

Not awful I suppose. I feel like information was dumbed down to the point that it was either almost incorrect or actually hard to understand. I "read" the first chapter of 3 books and noted that this wasn't for me but, for those with minimal knowledge on said subjects, it might be a useful tool. I'm used to reading textbooks and sifting through tough material so it could just be I'm not used to this kind of setup. I was hoping that it'd be more in depth. However if you have limited background, say for example you're a business person reading the book - astrophysics in a hurry, it might be useful to you in a beginner level. Not really recommended for intermediate+, like say a business person wanting to further knowledge in anything about business.

Worried about the cost. I just downloaded the free trial and I’m nervous I will forget to cancel it and then stop using it after a while like I usually do with things like this. So far the app is incredible. Visually appealing, easy to digest, quizzes to confirm you digested the information. I want to keep using this, $100 is a lot for an app and also it’s a very intricate app with many developers who deserve to be paid for their work. If only wages kept up with inflation these decisions wouldn’t be so hard and people could actually get better by using these apps!!

Incredible for a visual brain that has difficulty!. I’m thirty years old and have memory loss and some cognitive issues from health complications in the past. I have major trouble processing and absorbing large chunks of information but have so much reading I want to do and so much I want to learn! Lucid has been the perfect solution! I love that I can easily save the “cards” of information for later, and that the content is condensed. Thank you Lucid; well worth the cost…I’m obsessed already!

Doesn't load any content. The menu churns along and eventually displays some options, but when I click on one all I get is a blank screen. I had two thoughts: "Maybe they're having server problems and I should remember to try again later" immediately followed by "that's probably how people forget to cancel the trial that bills a full year at once". I was happy to give it a fair shake for the few cents they paid to send a Facebook ad to me. Based on my trial it seems that it doesn't work and I'm not going to give them more benefit of the doubt with $100 of my money on the line. Buyer beware: If you can, make sure the content actually works on your phone and OS before paying, because it might not.

Unfinished Courses. I really get so sick of seeing other reviewers whine about not being given something for free that someone else worked hard to create! Wading through the reviews of all of these childish losers makes it hard to find genuine and useful criticism that is worth considering before purchasing. My issue is unfinished content, and I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. I got to day 20 of a 90 day “course” and was actually enjoying it. However, when I reached day 20, I got a message telling me that the content isn’t available yet and offering to notify me when it is!! Are you kidding me? I’m so so so glad I hadn’t subscribed yet and wonder how many other subjects have been thrown up without even being completed. 20 out of 90 isn’t even 1/3 of the content! Shame! Anyway, the content is somewhat watered down, but for a “first thing in the morning” session, it was kind of perfect.

Questionable Customer/Tech Support. I cancelled my subscription through Apple during the 7-day period. So I didn’t get charged through Apple. During the trial period bought one-year subscription from the App Developer. Their customer support was good until something went wrong with my credentials on iPad (iPhone is good). I have been trying to reset my password following their step-by-step instructions without any success. The message on the screen says an email has been sent with a link to reset password. But actually I have received no email. I have sent multiple emails asking for help. I have received no response. Also, this app is horrible on iPad. Screen does not rotate to landscape. And not all info fits on the iPad screen.

A wonderful alternative to the “mindless scroll”. I am not a fan of any apps except this one, really. When I became depressed last year my first change was to remove social media from my phone and it was a game changer. Screen addiction haunts us all, though, and after a long day we all need some time to unwind. This app allows me to do just that and simultaneously fly through books I wouldn’t have the time or energy to read in their entirety. Instead of feeling crappy about my hour of phone time before bed I actually feel really good about it! I am thrilled these developers put such time and intentionality into solving a very real problem in modern society. I will recommend this to everyone I know!

Information that’s pertinent and retained. Much of the information that I have read on Insight have helped me to look at the possibilities and realities of the future and the present. I have just read about the changes in our family structures that make it more difficult for the elderly to receive care from a family member rather than being institutionalized, which is what’s happening to most of our mothers and fathers. It was eye-opening, because that’s exactly what’s happening to my mother. It is her choice, however, and she chose the assisted-living care. Since she’s just at the start of it, though, I’m hoping that somewhere along the line, she changes her mind and comes to live with one of us. Anyway, I’m really enjoying Insight and I’m hoping to afford to continue but it is quite expensive.

Please add iCloud syncing. I’ve downloaded the app and am using the week trial before I commit to the year long subscription. The app seems to be ‘okay’ so far. With always being on the run and getting things done, I find it difficult to use if you’d like to use different devices. I downloaded the app last night on my iPad Pro. I get it it’s supposed to be used on iPhone, but it worked fine. On my morning walk with my dog I downloaded the app on my phone and tried to pick up where I left off last night and because there was no syncing, I had to search the book and find the page again. After the walk, I decided to sit the back yard and read some articles on my iPad mini. I decided it would be a good time to download the app and try it on the iPad mini. I faced the same issue as my phone. I know these are supposed to be short and sweet but there should be a continue reading section synced on all my devices. Besides that feature, the content is okay. I’d like to spend more time reading with the week I have and I’ll update as I go. This is day 2 of my trial.

Great concept, but still needs some work. Lucid is honestly an outstanding concept. I sampled books I had previously read and some that I hadn't. The explanations are simple (maybe overly simplified), and many visuals are stunning. I even enjoyed the end-of-section quiz. The biggest issue with this app is the limited breadth of titles. Many of the books fall into the self-improvement and business genres. After a while, the theme becomes repetitive. It just wasn't for me, but I do highly recommend it to others. I will undoubtedly revisit this app in the future.

Painfully Bland. I’m stunned to see all the 4-5 star ratings here. This app wouldn’t be worth a download if it was free and didn’t carry an obnoxious $50/year price tag. Unbelievable. The “visuals” are entirely nonsensical - a perplexing assortment of shapes and arrows combined with a random word out of the one sentence blurb it is meant to illustrate. The only purpose served is to distract you from the juvenile verbal content. The *vast* array of less than 20 “books” (many of which I’ve read in full) to choose from effectively reduces the content down to a few dozen repetitive one-sentence blurbs knocked down to a first grade reading level. It’s one thing to seek more convenient means of benefiting from reading books, but if something needs to be abbreviated to this degree for you to read it you should frankly just stick to watching cartoons as there is really no hope for your level of laziness. I know this was harsh - but come on now.. spark-notes and Wikipedia are free and manage to summarize text without viciously assaulting your intelligence.

Incredible!!. Do yourself a favor and download this app - seriously! While the subscription is pricey (currently $99 annual or $15 monthly), it's absolutely worth it. With ADHD, learning is incredibly difficult. I love trying new ways to learn, and have never had as much success as I have with this app. And it was immediate success!! Its very engaging and the topics are interesting and valuable. One of my favorite parts is that it has accountability built in that will ACTUALLY WORK. You can sign up for courses (mine is 15 min a day for 7 days) and you have to schedule a time do it a day in advance and can auto add to your calendar. If you miss your scheduled time, you lose access to the course and get locked out. The only way back in is to contact the app support team. Talk about motivation!!! No more pushing learning on the back burner because I feel too busy when the reminder pops up - I love it!!

Great app, needs dark mode. Lucid is great for quickly learning about a lot of things and reading books I’ve always wanted to read. However the white screens could be straining on the eyes and a dark mode would help readers use it for longer👍🏼

Decent app with caveats. Great idea decently executed, but the cost is ridiculous. The end of chapter understanding checks are far too simple to be useful. UI is also lacking - why can’t I quit a learning path I have no interest in? It just keeps popping up with no way to get rid of it.

Great content but disappointing app. I really enjoyed the content but the app layout is SO frustrating. It's like the app is bigger than the screen area (using iPhone 7 but was the same when I tried on iPad). Text does not resize, so if there is more than a few lines it will go beyond the screen limit or disappear behind buttons or images. It also means I often can't complete quizzes because I can't see or select a response. My subscription lasts into next year but I've barely used it lately and won't be renewing. Shame that such a silly issue brings down a great concept, especially when it's not exactly cheap!

ADHD. Good for ppl with ADHD.

Not worth it.. SCAM! Plenty of useless poorly written and biased content. Many fake reviews. Forces you to accept trial period. Sure, it’s easy to use, but so is playdoh. Not worth the expensive price. Avoid!

Brilliant !. This app was created for minds like mine in mind.

The app of the year. This app is without a doubt great in every aspect. The ux is perfect..

My new favourite app. Visually appealing

Super Impressed. I’m super impressed and grateful for such a wonderful app ! Condenses information in a visual manner, super easy to understand. This app is shifting the education game. Super happy Thank You Lucid !

Can't do the free trial until you agree to be charged. I am NOT going to trial an app with the risk of being charged for a whole year after 7 days even with a scheduled reminder email. A true trial would allow you to see if you like the app without this rubbish. I'm out.

Increase your intelligence!. This app has a wonderful collection of very interesting facts. I throughly enjoy reading it in the morning (or anytime). I have learnt a lot from reading it.

Personal development Kaizen style. This little app is pure joy for any busy people sick of social media. Anytime you want just jump in a read something really interesting instead of just scrolling C R A P in your spare time.

Probably sells your data. Immediately after registering, even before paying I get leadership related emails. Unbelievable!

Deceptive advertising, poor customer service. An add that offered an intelligence test inspired me to sign up. The test doesn’t exist, just lies. Sent inquiry to Ludid support which was ignored. Trust these muppets with my hard earned? Yeah, NAH!!

Thank you. Many appreciation for the artists for their creativity in development of this app. the new way of learning

Very liberal. The library is very left leaning. I would keep the app if subjects weren’t so one sided. This app presents a great opportunity to learn about opinions from the other side of the aisle very simply. Could be a game changer. But I guess not.

Getting scam email since I downloaded. Getting multiple scam email since I downloaded it, beware

Learning made easy. This is hands down the best app I’ve ever bought. This is also the first time I’ve written a review but this app simplifies complicated ideas so you can understand them quickly, very handy if your a busy person. Much appreciated.

Really useful app. I love their visuals and very wide range of topics they have.

Absolutely Life-Changing. Imprint is a wonderful app and probably one of the best apps I’ve ever installed. Especially the self-improvement ones, the first two I read (about anxiety and productivity) were AMAZING and the app is already proving itself 5-star worthy. Highly recommend to anyone, as it is already improving my daily lifestyle and the way I look at the world. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL.

Effortless learning. I love learning but my ability to focus my attention is not my greatest asset. Lucid’s graphics and simple user interface is helping me tremendously. It just feels effortless.

Investing in yourselves. This is great app. It can’t be easier to read and remember a book. Absolutely worth it ! Thanks developer team 🍻🍻🍻🍻

It’s free for 7 days. No offence, but don’t compare this application to Instagram (which you did through a sponsored ad that enticed me to install the app). Now as a consequence of that you’re going to get a poor review because these two apps aren’t even comparable. A free platform such as Instagram you can get heaps of value from the people you follow etc for FREE. This application requires a subscription based service, a free trial for 7 days and then that’s it, I can’t use it anymore unless I pay $120 a year.

Education on the go. The perfect app to open when you want to entertain yourself, but need to have a break from the negativity of the news and social media. It’s helped me to say goodbye to “doom scrolling” and instead educate myself with incredibly easy written chapters of books I’d never thought to read!

Good content until the religious brainwashing comes in. The black swan. No one wants to be forced to listen to your religious subjective content. Additionally I was advertised that I could get your add with a 7 day trial, opting into monthly payment instead of annual negates the trial, even though it was not advertised that way. So I paid $22 AUD for 4 days of app usage.

$149.50 subscription per year. Let’s see now - why can’t Apple force developers into categorising their wares with transparent costs instead of allowing one to download / install / configure and then be asked for 150 bucks to use said app.

Be upfront. Great idea, however lack of transparency over subscription price makes me feel a bit tricked. Maybe be more upfront at the beginning. Customers don’t like feeling duped

Just a book app. Don’t try and over sell your product. It’s just a reading app that costs a lot of money. Don’t waste your time downloading.

I’m hooked. A very smart, useful and easy to use app.

They should display the price. I downloaded it , I thought it was free, but after the installation and customization the price came up , which is expensive, never shown on the ad , I will be charged in 5 or 7 days automatically. The price and the payment terms must be shown first otherwise it feels tricky and not trusty. That’s why I deleted it immediately.

Too expensive. Too expensive

All insights and saved favorite pages gone!. Just opened the app today and all my collected insights are gone! please help..I know its because your last update wiped out all insights data..your dev team deserves a medal for that

Lessons good, Quizes bad. Would give 5 stars for the content but the daily quizzes really kinda suck.. it’s always the same questions for one topic, thus missing out on other aspects of the topic that will be forgotten that way

Frozen. App has been frozen for the last week and nothing in it working. Tried restarting the phone also. Help!

Inauthentic Transparency. Imprint looks like a fantastic app. I was roaring keen to get started and improve my productivity, and possibly my mental well-being. Nothing made me more excited for this than the fact Imprint was advertised as a FREE app, that offered in-app purchases. Fantastic, I thought. The best education is free. Apps such as Duolingo exemplify this. Imagine my surprise then, when Imprint revealed itself as NOT free. They simply give you a free 7 day trial and then ask for $150/year. This is not a free app. It is false advertising, bordering on manipulative. A shame really, because the app looks amazing. I really just wish the marketing team / leadership would stand up straight behind their product, shoulders back - instead of attempting to clickbait people into subscribing. Apple: please categorise your apps better so that PAID apps cannot charade as FREE apps. Imprint: there are plenty of people out there with the financial resources to pay for your product. There’s no need to try and trick the rest of us.

Great way to learn fast and retain knowledge. If you haven’t got time or the inclination to read book after book but still want to learn, this is the app for you. Books are summarised to the main concepts and presented with visual cards for each concept which is ideal for visual learning. The quiz feature is very good for helping to retain the learning.

Subscription. Dear Lucid, I recently signed up for the free trial for your app. I want to cancel the subscription as I was not notified of the end of the free trial or asked permission for payment to be made!! The bill was $149.99! Please help me ASAP with a refund.

First impression. Lucid is simple to use, but I have reservations about the simplicity of the approach. My main concern on first reading it is the depth of intellectual rigour that is put into it by the application’s authors. Also depth that can be gleaned from it by the reader.

Amazing app. I love this app! I feel like I am learning so much all the time and it also encourages me to read more. The content is really good 😍 4 stars and not 5 because I find the suscription a bit too pricey and I wish I was quizzed on more than 5 questions a day. Lucid should also gamefy those books like duolingo and encourage the reader to read those books again to make sure that we stored those learnings in our long term memory storage. Looking forward to see how this app will evolve !

Readers digest on steroids. A little like reader’s digest in some respects… some subjects feel like just hitting the high points. For the deep and complex subjects it was great though. I was able to see these high points through a lot of the (previously experienced) noise and go back to the subjects to dive a little deeper. All in all, great. Concise, compact, time efficient and effective was of learning especially for visual learners. I rate it.

Incorrect charge. Cancelled my subscription and they still charged me.

Amazing App- great for visual learners. Incredible app!

Probably awesome - but hate bait and pay. Nothing mentioned about the ongoing cost, be upfront so I don’t waste 5 minutes setting up my personal preferences and then get the ‘last step’ where you are just another paid app

Misleading. Well, at least I learned about deception and lack of transparency before deleting the app less than 5 minutes after installing it.

Singed up for a trial and was charged full. Such a scam this app. They said I can try it for a week and they would send me a reminder in 5 days then I could decide if I want to pay 150$ a year for a subscription. I pressed ok thinking I may check it out and I was fully charged in seconds upon clicking it. Now trying to chase somebody to refund me. Of course no luck in getting there. Horrible scam

I love it but it’s too expensive. I love it but the two only subscription options are both too expensive!!! Please make it cheaper 🥺

iPad version?. Please make an iPad version of the app

Need landscape mode. This is great reading app but would be nice to have a landscape mode setting

Good but needs more pricing options. A really cool app - it distills complex or long topics effectively and interestingly. Everything works well and is stunningly beautiful. I just wish you had different subscription options: I am a broke university student so different tiers (I.e, a blend of paid and ads) could help more consumers like me!

SUGGESTION. I am never writing any reviews but let me say this, this app is AWESOME & helps a lot! Let me suggest you one thing and I hope you’ll read this, instead of clicking or even swiping to the right for the next page you should take advantage of the psychology behind swiping up and down. If you would use swiping up & down for the next page I guarantee you people will stay longer on the app. We are so conditioned and used to swiping up and down that clicking right and left almost feels like work 🙌

Love it. Pricing is a bit up there, but it make sense given all the work that goes into the content. Offers a great introduction to books. I think this kind of content will help people fall in love with learning again.

Fix it. The app is great but the pricing is crazy high. I’d gladly subscribe if it were adjusted reasonably down at least for students.

Bad marketing. Doesn’t let you know it’s a paid service (and very expensive) until you made all your choices and spent time on the app. I felt trapped

$130+ per year ?!. I’m willing to pay because I like the interactive content, but the price is too high to afford, there are other competitors also do it better. Still weighing my options 🥶

Good content, but overpriced. I love the app and the content, but it’s too expensive for the small amount of content offered, especially when you consider you can only read on an iPhone, not an iPad.

$$$. Think this is a great app idea, can’t justify the cost

Charged double. I was charged $51 CAD for a $19.99 monthly subscription purchase.. what’s going on here?

So beneficial to life. I almost can’t believe how handy this app is for learning important stuff. Great work!!!

The app that Saved me. This app is a great library of what ever I needed to stop my social network dumb habits and learn something useful for my own life. Such great books. I am really happy that I find this app.

Amazing stimulus. I find this wonderful ! So inspiring to see one’s head spinning over key issues of the day! Is vulnerability bad? Is courage inherent ? Is courage necessary for the next step to be taken in a success story?

Amazing tool for visual learning. If you’re a visual learner, this app is for you! It helps you learn to relax and live your best life!

Trop dispendieux!. Bien que le concept de résumer chapitre par chapitre le contenu de livres à succès, il n’en demeure pas moins que 125$ par an pour une appli qui débute est vraiment trop dispendieux.

A visual guide to knowledge. I was mesmerised with Imprint’s ease of you, colours & engaging graphics & condensed vital knowledge. I just hope to develop a habit to keep on the streaks. Try it out!

It’s what I needed. The perfect antidote to mindless scrolling. Interesting bit sized pieces of knowledge served up in a compelling digestible format.

Very good. Very interesting. I’m a visual learner. Also like how the book is condensed to key points and concepts.

Love the app. I would like to be able to take quizzes when I want and be able to set the amount of questions.

Great but too pricey. Far too few titles for such a hefty subscription. Even with more titles it’s not worth $21/month.

Gorgeous, but overpriced. Though this app is really well done, I just can’t abide by the astronomical price. I understand that creating individualized graphics for each book takes time and money, but there are only about 50 titles in the app right now (May 2021) and I can easily get through a full book in under half an hour. That doesn’t give me nearly enough content to justify the high subscription price. I used it for the trial and loved it, but sadly couldn’t see myself continuing when I know I’ll run through every title in the span of a few months. If they cut the price in half, I might consider it, but even that is asking a lot of customers for a low time-to-spend ratio value. Beautiful graphics and console summaries are amazing, but the value proposition just is t there at this time. Hopefully they can adjust this as I’m sure it’s keeping many people from actively subscribing.

More than great. First app that manipulate us to learn useful new things

Wow ok. I don’t know how they create this for every single book but they break up the essential main points into bite size chunks and explain it VISUALLY and graphically with ANIMATIONS. Like wow I love this so far

Great concept but limited books and too expensive. Love the idea and honestly would have considered paying for a membership, but the pricing is way too high to make sense.

What a joke!. This is not free at all. It forces you to create an account free for one week; but only after you have spent a free minutes answering all the profiling questions. Should state upfront this behaviour. Because of this false advertising it’s getting the lowest rating. I wonder what else would have been false has I gone ahead. Definitely the intention was not right upfront.

My Imprint Review. I love this app- it’s really helped me become more productive. I think it’s great for visual learners and people who have trouble focusing. Keep it up!

Price. If people are willing to pay for this then keep your prices the same, honestly I think you’d have a higher return on investment by lowering subscription costs and having a larger customer base.

Worth every penny. I took a risk and subscribed and im using this app more than any other. Makes me look forward to my day and excited for my next read Excellent book selections , very well designed. Top marks.

Great app, but some bugs. I really enjoyed the content but program currently is freezing on load, not sure I will continue with paid if I can’t get it to open up. I restarted the device and closed all apps. Same issue. If a reinstall doesn’t work, I will have to move on from app

Helpful customer service. While I don’t use the app, the customer service team was really helpful when I accidentally purchased a one year subscription. Jeff really helped put my mind at ease. 👍🏼

yearly membership charged in error. I wanted to try the 7 day free trial, but I can see that instead, I have been charged for a yearly subscription. I’m not interested in a yearly subscription, and I would like to cancel it, as I was charged in error. Thanks

Very poor library. The concept is great but the library is too limited for the price you charge. Honestly CAD 125 per yr is too much for what you can offer.

So far so good. Just started trying it for 7 days; lots of content. Checking the mechanics of this app.

Captivating!. Extremely magnetic !

Great app just over priced. Been on the free trial for a couple days and have learned more about topics that i have been researching for weeks now. There is just not enough about specific topics to make it worth 130$ a year

👌🏽. It’s a cool app. Enjoyed using it.

Absolutely overpriced. The subscription price for this app is way too high for what you get.

I forgot to cancel TRIAL. Hi Lucid Admin. I forgot to cancel the TRIAL so it automatically charged me. I canceled the subscription but still charged me for $139.99. Please help me.

Been waiting for an app like this. Excellent for visual learners, great, detailed summaries. I get so much out of these summaries compared to Blinkist. Fully recommend this to anyone. Keep working on the app and keep adding titles! Thank you!

SCAM.. This app is supposed to be free and they charged me an annual subscription fee ($124.99!) without my consent. I don’t have an account within the app and I barely used it upon downloading it. This charge is being disputed but you can’t reach anyone on the phone. A total scam and the company knows it. I hope I get my money back or I will be disputing it with Apple. (646) 675-4242 Daniel the CEO denied being affiliated with Polywise and won’t direct me to a customer service phone line. Ridiculous.

Beautiful app, but…. Buggy and overpriced. The graphics are absolutely beautiful, no complaints there. However, I experienced a ton of bugs. After getting the latest update, all my reading/completed progress was wiped. Annoying, but I thought it would be a one time thing. There was a title that crashed the app for me when it reached a certain point. Sometimes the app would not recognize the free trial and only relaunching would work. Then, for seemingly no reason, my progress would be wiped every time the app was relaunched. The premium titles were still available but my saved cards/reading/completed would reset to nothing every time the app was closed. I tried deleting and reinstalling, but the only thing that did was cancel my trial altogether. This was all in the period of my free trial. I was thinking of getting the monthly subscription after the trial but I give up.

Best learning tool out there!!. If you’re looking to learn something new everyday I recommend this app. It’s a great learning tool with comprehensive lessons that only take minutes to read. Forget about all that useless information… Skip straight to the facts. Join Lucid!

Too expansive. Great content but just too crazy in pricing

Wow. Like blink it’s meets Robert munch.

Amazing App but overpriced. While the idea and execution is great the expensive pricing model and limited library needs work.

Values it. It took me 10 minutes to understand the work behind this app and it does value the asked price. One less restaurant trip per month?

Worth it.. This app is well worth the price. And I’m pretty much broke all the time.

Help. I can’t even sign in. But still got charged. Canceled but still got charged for a year. Also now I can’t even sign in.

Great app but very expensive.. The app is vey well done. Great summaries for books using visual cues. However, very expensive monthly and yearly prices. Will use it for trial period then will cancel. Will consider subscribing if current yearly price less than half.

Worth the money. With lack of time to read full books, this app make it easy to grasp concepts and ideas in just a few minutes

Really good but a couple of improvements. This app is amazing. It has paths for every single skill a person wants to excel in. Mental health, business, organization, whatever you need, this all probably has it. Plus the lessons are not only bit-sized and digestible, they come packed with fun little illustrations to keep you engaged. This app is amazing. A couple of issues though. One, the prices are REALLY high. I know there’s a lot of content, but it is like really high. Me personally though, I consider it worth the purchase. Secondly, I think it would be good if the developers added a “night mode.” I usually use this app at night, and the white glare really hurts my eyes. So I think it would be good if they added a night mode that could allow the user to change it from day to night manually or have it operate on a sunrise/sunset timer. Other than those two things, I love this app. Totally worth it.

Do NOT download. It automatically charges you for a yearly subscription without even having logged in the app. Do NOT even download.

Great way to learn with todays distractions. Simple and convenient. Choose your learning path and start right away. I stopped reading after a year of consistent growth and this is a really really cool way to get back into it.

Helpful and informative visual learning. I like the UI, and general user experience that Imprint has. It’s very good for learning up about something as opposed to having to read a whole book, and allows you to get deeper into the book when you have time. Wish they had more books!

I love this app!. I never write reviews but I had to for Lucid. I get bummed because I feel like I never have the time to read all the books I want to read. Lucid solves this problem for me! They convey the books main points and key messages so well. And I love the diagrams! I love that I can save a card for future reflection too. Thanks Lucid for helping this full time working mom explore so many different books! Keep up the great work!

From a book reader, surprisingly good. I read around a book every month or two, and have always been skeptical of services like cliff notes and even audio books. Stumbled on this app and was pleasantly surprised. While you won’t get the depth and detail of the full read, most ppl are unlikely to retain those details a month after reading anyways. This does a good job of conveying the points that you want to stick.

Desperately needs bug fixes DEVS TAKE NOTE. I used this app for the past month and really enjoyed it. I’d give it a 5 if I could but when I was going thru the book “4000 weeks” the last chapter keeps crashing the entire app. And this occurs every time I try to go thru it. Plus there are times where I have chapters say they’re incomplete when they ought to be. TLDR it’s a great wellspring of knowledge for my attention span, but some books aren’t curated enough for my liking.

Great app, limited audience. This app is really cool and I was excited to explore it. I knew without a subscription my experience would be limited however it’s impossible to not buy the subscription which is over $15 a month. You can read the first chapter (2 minutes worth) of any book. Super disappointing because there’s not much to absorb. I WISH they had a student plan because as a full time college student I can’t afford $15 a month just to read when a library is free.

This app is the best, so far. Though I’ve only read one chapter, I’ve never been so glued to a book in my life. The puctures help you s stay focused, and don’t give you the overwhelming page of words. The ideas are short and sweet, and you even get wuestions afterwards to make sure you understand. Downloading this was byfar one of the best decisions in my life

Pleasantly surprised. I am so tired of looking at my phone. It seems like a waste of time and energy…the two things you cannot afford to waste is time and energy. Time and energy is spent finding useful content, if the content is not useful or not what I wanted, it’s a waste. Lucid aggregates useful and meaningfully concepts and content into a space that is easy to navigate and digest. I feel like my time and energy in this app is worth the screen time.

Super fun way to get the main points from top nonfiction books. Really high quality, visual, fun way to get the main insights from good nonfiction books. There are short sections you can tap through in a few minutes that have great visual explanations of the key points from that chapter of the book. Really helpful and fun; you can learn a lot in a short amount of time.

The Knowledge actually stays with me. I have subscribed to Blinkist and other apps over the years and i am finding that with Imprint, the knowledge actually stays with me longer. I truly notice how the images help retain and understand the information. Also the art work is nice and makes reading easy and fun. Great app overall.

PLEASE HELP.. I paid for an annual subscription. Life got in the way and I didn’t use the app for a month or so. The app logged me out, my phone for some reason has not stored my login credentials, and when I put my email in the “forgot my password” prompt, it says the email is not on file. I have my app store receipt to prove my purchase. I love this app, I just need to log in! TL;DR: paid $100 for an app that I am now unable to use—please help!

I’m still waiting for the promised titles (and it’s been more than a year). The app is fun to skim through books and get a quick summary of what they are about… however, for the price tag, I would have assumed I’d have more to choose from. It’s more of a pop psychology, trending business book type of curation. The part that bugs me most is that I have been waiting for titles to finish being available (they release some books by chapter) for years now. So I guess I’ll never be able to fully read the history of philosophy.

NEEDS Dark Mode. For me it’s unusable at night because 90% of the screen is just pure white most of the time. It’s needs Dark mode and I understand the animations are in the way of this but all that needs to be done is have an optional dark mode where black colors in animations get replaced with white. I rather have some off looking animations than a pure white screen fatiguing my eyes. Other than this major issue, I really like the app.

Subpar.. Could be great in theory but in practice it’s just another money-hungry app that is almost useless in the free version. They don’t tell you what you can and can’t read so you have to click in and out until you find something for the free users. And I personally don’t think the things I have read were worth a $100 subscription fee, especially when they can just lock you out of a course whenever they deem appropriate. It could be so good though, it’s sad.

Options. I absolutely 👍 love the options especially for someone whom refuses to pay for apps this app caught my attention the moment I saw it on my suggestions it offers such a wide variety of help and I love how it doesn’t demand to much out of me just listen 🎧 and hear a different prospective on things I’m struggling with

Streaks or Logging Activity. I personally find the streaks a little disappointing because daily is really hard. But even showing it in a 2D calendar view would give me so much more motivation because it wouldn’t be so sensitive and constrained. Like I’m gonna miss a day or two, but having it show that I’ve done it for 15-20 days? That’d be so much better to the disheartening zero that feels like I made a mistake.

One of my faves!. I’m not an educated man. I didn’t finish high school. I own my own paint contracting business which is successful but I wanted to lean more. I don’t have a very big attention span nor do I have a lot of free time. This app has helped me to become a better leader and thinker. I look forward to the short stories each day. I can’t wait to dive into my next subjects.

Extremely engaging. I’m a content creator and would love to experience this app fully. Just not financially viable for me right now. But LOVED the sample I tried! So much potential here. This will lead the edge of app learning. Also, is there a full list of titles available? Need more information as to how much content is accessible. Also, if you need another team member, I’m an extremely creative and well-read Education/Content Creator! Well done with this idea.

4.5 stars , would give 5 if landscape on iPad were possible. My “need” for momentary distractions hasn’t changed but I’m really liking how my habits are shifting from opening news or social media apps to opening imprint instead. I always learn something in my areas of interest that leave me feeling glad for taking a quick pause in my day.

Saved cards crash the app every time. I LOVE this app and use it nearly every day - I also have the paid version - yet I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that the “Saved” cards function crashes the app every single time I want to refer to a previously read card. It’s been over 2 weeks of this feature not working at all. For an app of this scale and price of $100 I expect core features to be functional or at least fixed within a couple weeks!

Good concept, pricy and needs more content and dark mode. I like the concept. But the team definitely needs to add a LOT more content. Especially if they want to keep charging this high subscription price. also, I was trying to read at night with the lights off and realized that this app doesn’t have dark mode🙁 Doesn’t have a setting for it nor does it change the appearing based on the general iOS appearance setting. Please add this asap. Thank you.

Too expensive for the amount of content. I actually really like this app. The reason for only 2 stars is due to wanting to charge me $100/year for very little content compared to similar apps which I will not name here. And because those other apps with WAY more content are usually around half the price if not more cheaper. I’m all for supporting devs, but when your competitors deliver way more for less in an equally pleasing manner, I’m going to have to pass. Even at $40/year, it would be a hard decision. Not if there was considerable more content though. Also, need dark mode very badly!! Cheers 🥂

Download it now and enjoy. I have been using the app to refresh the learnings and content of books that I have already read. It does not eliminate the importance of reading the whole book however it reinforces key messages. It is a complimentary service. I strongly recommend downloading it.

Neat Idea/Concept. Free version could be better.. Very cool concept. It’s like visual ted talks. Looking for a replacement for doom scrolling. Would like to see the free version structured a little differently. Perhaps only giving access to a limited number of titles as opposed to just the first chapter. This is a rather pricey prescription and the set up of the free version does not give me enough of an experience to justify the price.

I never write a review.. This app is completely life changing. As a person that always loves reading but just doesn’t have that much time this app is perfect for me.. the daily quizzes makes sure you retain all the information you been learning. Honestly I wish the quizzes were longer or maybe a test feature can come out that is basically a longer quiz. All in one. It’s worth the subscription!!!

one of the best apps on earth. lucid is one of the best apps on earth right now (or at least one of my favs. ;) Easily browse a library of awesome books and/or topics (like NFTs!), add them to your list, and learn in bite sized nuggets whenever you have a few minutes. Just fantastic. And I’m excited because they seem to keep adding more awesome features haha! Would love to see this feature soon: Sort your reading list. Because I want to learn too many things 🤣

Content is great!. There’s a variety of different topics which would interest a wide audience. I’ve been mostly using Imprint for reading purposes and the way the little quizzes at the end keeps me on my toes a bit. I LOVE their visuals that go along each pages. One thing that bothers me though is that search bar is at the end of the explore page so it is quite annoying to scroll all the way to the bottom to search for a specific book/content.

App is great, have some suggested features. Would love to have a note taking section in the saved area. A place to type up reflections or personal conclusions etc. to be kept with the saved cards from each book. Would like to see description of each book in the home area to make browsing and selection more streamlined instead of having to click on each book then click description. And/or integrate categories. Love this app, it’s a fabulous idea !

Excellent Way to Learn Something New. Lucid has been a tremendous pleasure for gaining mew insights. It has led to new book discoveries as well as glean the critical information from books I am less interested in. The app is so intuitive and makes reading/learning very enjoyable. The combination of text, visuals, and interactivity will help cement the concepts in your mind. I could not recommend this enough!

App is amazing. This app is brilliant, and incredibly well executed. This is my first (and probably last) app review ever, but lucid warrants it. It’s illustrated, book-review-sized summaries of books! I love this app as is, but I am really excited to see where they’ll go. To kill a mockingbird? Children’s books? The possibilities are endless, and whoever is running this app is clearly up to the task. 5 stars, download now, you won’t regret it.

Politically biased. The idea is fantastic however I use it to see what book I’ll buy next and also as a reminder of the main points of the book. I don’t think that will replace the actual reading. One thing bothers me very much is the politically biased choice of the books, the app is very much charged with books on MRNA, lockdowns, “how not to be racist” but nothing from Jordan Peterson or Candace Owen. It doesn’t look like a bipartisan and eclectic choice where multiple opinions can be learned.

No Way to Cancel During 7-Day Trial. I didn’t receive an email when I signed up for the trial or a reminder email when the trial was about to end. I tried canceling 2 days into the trial. However, when I followed the instructions in the app for managing my subscription by going through my phone settings, the app wasn’t even listed under my subscriptions. In fact, it’s still not listed even though I was just charged $99 for an annual subscription that I had no way to avoid. Feel like I got scammed.

Awful Philosophy Information. I’m a graduate philosophy student, and this app has terrible information on philosophy. I’m not sure where they get their sources, but it reads like it was written by people that scanned the key takeaways section of a philosophy 101 textbook, didn’t understand a word, and butchered the language to make it more “accessible”. Key phrases are mistranslated or misleadingly defined. This app might get you interested in philosophy, and that’s great, but even Wikipedia is a more reliable source. For a good source of more accessible philosophy, try the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy.

Informative and Concise. This app broke down the book into meaningful sentences and it felt like I was being instructed by a teacher (versus watching a PowerPoint slide style summary). I’ve always wanted to read The Selfish Gene but could never be bothered reading the whole book. Now I feel like I could teach the concepts to someone else. The quiz at the end of the chapter was helpful and quick so it never got labored. Can’t wait to read more tiles. Five stars!

I love it…. Ok ok ok,It takes my heart!! This app is really surprised me and I try to find developers and company based guys to say them that they have awesome idea and product but I don’t why the site didn’t work:)perhaps in my country actually:) Anyway I love it and I hope a lot of people find this app and could use it…

Love the app but no search function????. I love this app but the user interface is awful. Titles are organized by broad category and listed only in order of when they were added to the app. It’s impossible to find a title without scrolling endlessly. I recommended this app to a friend because he wanted to read a specific book and he had to ask me how to find it. Developers please add a search function as well as other basic functions like listing the titles alphabetically. I will happily updated to 5 stars when that happens!

Imprint App. Currently, I am working on productivity. I find the short lessons really helpful in my personal life. Wish I had access to this prior to my retirement. As an ADHD person, somethings are quite challenging for me. As I get older, even though I am retired, things are still difficult for me as I get slower & everything is still fast paced. I've just begun, but I can see how I need to tweak my life in order to obtain some calm.

Wow this is only app that gets me excited to read!!. I’d try audio books, reading books, Now I know that I’m a visual learner because of this app. It’s a like a presentation with each paragraph when I look back at the text and pictures, it’s so much more understandable and engaging. Great app! More self development books please 🙏.

Great App. Don’t usually leave reviews but this is such a great app that I have to. But it’s not going to be some long drawn out review. It’s a great app. Yes it costs but I think those costs can be legitimized when you realize the functionality of the app and how effortlessly it operates. Anyway, the main reason I’m here is to hopefully provide a suggestion of allowing an option for a “night mode” as I like to read at night and the bright white display irritates my eyes. Thanks!

Well-done app but poor quality content. Good concept and well-done app but poor quality content. For example the Freudian Mind article introduces terms like preconscious and unconscious but never explains what they are. I’ve also seen blatant factual errors. For example the Blockchain and Bitcoin guide says that Bitcoin “bypasses” issues that exist in our current monetary system like money fluctuating value, money being stolen, or accounts being hacked. Really!? Bitcoin bypasses these issues!? It literally magnifies all of them. Makes me concerned about the reliability of other topics I’ve read about in the app.

Great app that makes it fun to learn. I love visuals. It helps me understand things better. Each page is concise and delivers a good but not lengthy message, by the time you’ve done a few pages, you’re nearly done with the chapter. I love how it incorporates multiple key points from books.

Illusion of Choice. They give you an illusion that you have a choice in books, but you don't. For you first book they give you a choice between two, so you pick one. In 8 days they give you a choice between two more and the book you didn't want to read is there again. By my 4th book my only choices were the same books I had no interest in. So I lost interest and cancelled my subscription. Still giving it 4 stars as the summaries are pretty good.

Great quality but needs more content. I find the summaries and animations great, it really helps with the understanding. I've used other apps for summaries but this one is by far better. Definitely need more books which I think will be added as time passes but make sure not to sacrifice quality for quantity. I still believe it's too expensive for the amount of books that it's available but I believe you guys are on the right path.

Absolutely Amazing!. I love learning new things but I struggle so much with keeping my attention on a book or even an audio book or podcast. You will not regret subscribing - it’s so easy to learn new things, there’s a mini quiz after chapters which is a good memory exercise... absolutely in love with this app! Highly recommended!

Fun way to stay engaged with a non-fiction book. I often get bogged down by all the evidence presented in non-fiction that I lose sight of the larger revelations. This app narrows down that focus, keeping you engaged so you can be sure you understand the big takeaways the author is getting at without getting lost. It’s like having a great professor guide you through a book. So glad I found this app!!

Great for visual learners though a bit pricey. Really enjoyed my trial and month. So easy to go through multiple books even if I have read the original. the search button at the bottom of the page was interesting choice and some books are in multiple categories. The selection was okay but limited but the visuals really helped drive home the learnings and main messages. It's better visually than blinkist but it takes awhile to add visuals and a summary. Very unique app overall.

Incredible Learning Experience. This app makes learning both efficient and entertaining. By including visuals and short intervals of new information, Imprint makes learning a new subject seem like an approachable challenge. Overall, this app is well worth the try, though the price might seem slightly high for some people.

Dumb for Dumberer. I can’t justify paying $100 for an app that is basically “suggesting” good books. This dumbed down “reading” bit sadly the people who really need it can’t afford it. I “read” the first chapter of Atomic Habits and bought the book, so Thanks Lucid! I’ll keep the app on my phone without subscribing and reviewing the books I’m interested in buying. Also the cute little animations and titles are so tiny I can’t see them clearly and there is no way to pinch zoom so I can actually read the tiny font.

Wow. Just wow. I usually don’t write reviews but today I made an exception. This app has thought me many things such as better mental health, historical and scientific knowledge among other things. Another thing to add is that I haven’t even have this app for 24 hrs yet. I recommend this app to those who hate reading because this app will make you so interested in reading like it has for me already. I say it’s worth the money if not more.

May be too early to review but so far…. …so good. I just finished my first book, so not much to go by and I will finish the free trial but I am concerned by the online reviews that say there is a very limited selection of books available that can be easily read through within the year of the $100 subscription. If that’s true that would be a waste of money.

Favorite App. This is my new favorite app. Last favorite app was BitLife. That’s been my favorite app, since 2015. It’s now 2020. I mean business, for every one of those 5 stars I gave. I am the queen of app purging. I’ll have an idea of an app I’d like. I download 10 apps that do that thing. Through a process of elimination, I go from none to one app. Most of the time, I decide I don’t need an app for that thing, after all. Guys! This app is not like all the other Cliff Notes style apps. This app is the absolute best thing ever!!!! The visuals are super duper helpful. I’m a program director of two social service programs in Chicago. I’m giving subscriptions to this app to all of my employees. Out of my pocket. This app is game changing!
