Stopped working. This was an absolute god send of an app. I could turn off, and turn on my Xbox from my phone. One day I turned my Xbox on and none of the buttons work except for the power buttons. It was working flawlessly for 2 weeks before that. I’m really disappointed that it doesn’t work all the sudden. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling

Works well when I’m just feeling lazy.. Must use with WiFi to connect. I noticed after I paid for the ads to be removed; I can turn my Xbox on and off using this application. Prior to this; I could only turn it off. No complaints here. I’m happy to support the developer here. Rather than support an app like candy crush for constant bombardment ad walls. Thank you Oz.

My opinion on the app entirely. App works well no complaints does the job but, I have suggestions to make it better such as the power button to also turn on the console instead of only being able to turn it off that would be a very good feature.

PLEASE READ/ APP IS DATA FARMING. If you have anything copied (passwords, random info, etc) when the app opens, you will get a notification at the top of your screen saying (Xbox remote pasted from *insert app here*). just a friendly reminder to clear you copy/ paste history from passwords or important info before launching the app. And yes, I will still use the app because I’m lazy and dumb but still, CAUTION!!

Worked For Awhile & Then Stopped. I had this app for a little over a year and it worked great aside from the constant ads popping up every two or three button presses. I opened the app one day and suddenly it wouldn’t work. It’ll connect to the Xbox but as soon as it does the app closes. I’ve deleted, redownloaded & repreated the process along with manually connecting to my WiFi and it continues to do the same thing. I loved this app at first but now it just doesn’t work. Please fix this bug!

Works for me & is free...pleasantly surprised. I’m lazy and don’t like having to get up and grab my controller just to navigate to a streaming service (not to mention I hate using up good controller battery for these non-gaming tasks) & we all know Microsoft’s voice control doesn’t work well. The only thing that’s always within arm’s reach is my iPhone, so I was looking up ways to control my Xbox with a smartphone and learned about “SmartGlass.” I was looking for that app and found this one instead. The other reviews say it didn’t work for them but mine is working great so give it a try before writing it off. I’m only using it for non-gaming tasks like navigating to apps and controlling playback etc. If I wanna actually game I don’t mind getting my real controllers.

Doesn’t work anymore.. I have tried to download this app multiple times and at the beginning it worked fine but now it just keeps kicking me off. It won’t connect or anything I have downloaded literally over 20 times and it does the same thing. So only one star from me

Great when it works. This is a very useful so, but only half the time it connects to my Xbox. And then nothing i will make it reconnect until it's ready to. So, it's extracting right when it works and I need to resort to the ordinal hand held service when it doesn't

Please fix. Idk what’s going on but it’s not letting me connect the controller to my Xbox….it pulls up my Xbox in the list of things to connect to but keeps saying error….mind you I’ve been using this off and on for a month…so I’m assuming it’s a bug problem!! Please update 😋

Hasn’t worked for me for months now. App used to work ok (wasn’t always reliable but I could get it to connect and it would be fine) but it has not worked once for the last six months. Shame. I really loved having this option because my controller batteries die so quickly.

Works well but needs a lot of work. The app works and does what its supposed to. It can connect to my xbox and roku tv but has a lot of ads that pop up when you tap a button more than once which opens up scam ads and porn occasionally it gets old very fast so be careful with how fast you click. The layout is also overly complicated were on a phone we dont need to see a remote on our phone that we need to scroll to see other buttons. Make big buttons that are easy to click and are simple. If you got rid of the large pop up ads or at least make sure they dont send you somewhere youll get a virus.

Buggy and laggy. Have to reconnect sometimes, 5ish second delay when switching back from another app or waking from auto lock, Lags sometimes as well. More annoying than it’s worth as it seems like there is always at least one issue that occurs every time I use it, but it does work.

This is the one !. I didn’t think this would actually work but in all honesty it works great! Highly Recommend

Freezes console. This app will freeze my Xbox console after I have connected it Via WiFi every time. This freezes so bad that my Xbox controller won’t even respond with the console. Then, I go into this app and disconnect and then y am able to continue watching my movie on my streaming service. Yes, I am watching movies when this happens. I never really use this because of the extra steps and hassle. Thanks though.

I Hate this Nil thing. If I use the remote for like one time then they keep saying nil after the first time I use it which makes me delete and download back DO SOMETHING

WOW!!!!. I can’t believe it! How can this thing actually connect to your Xbox. But it can somehow. I wasn’t allowed to have my controller during the week but this thing saved me! Thank you for making this app!!! ❤️👍🏼😂😁

Doesn’t work anymore. It used to work awesome so I payed to have the ads removed to support he developer. Contacted them 3 times for support with no reply what so over. I can only assume it was a short stint of success that he/she has long given up on or never had plans to support their customer base that payed to remove the ads. Sad because it was an amazing little app.

Good app but, having trouble.. It is helpful, but after a day it stopped working. I followed all instructions and it still won’t connect, I don’t know what to do. And the bad thing is my controller won’t work either, that was why I got this app.

App does not work. In the very beginning it worked great but after I moved my Xbox to my room it hasn’t been able to connect. All I get now is this message at the bottom when attempting to connect ( trying to connect with engine 1 ) and then ( nil ) My wifi is connected, when I turn on my Xbox it shows connection to my wifi so I don’t understand why it’s not working anymore. I have removed the app and downloaded it again and it’s the same. Please fix this because when it does work it’s a great app. It saved me for a while cause my actual remote controller stopped working. When imputing manually it still shows same comments. Please Please Please fix this.

Broke.. They need an update or a patch. It’s broken. Steer clear. Stay away. If it fixes I’ll update. Connection on my end is perfect. Xbox smartglass app connects and works great. My internet shows up. It recognizes my network and IP address. Click to connect.... “Nil” as is “Nothing” as in “Broke” as in “Ha wasted your time and phone memory Bish”. Thanks for nothing. This was an exciting app if it worked. Please don’t buy until after you’ve tried to connect. You will “regert” it.

Stopped working >:(. While I loved this app, all of a sudden, it stopped working for me. Every time I tried opening up the app, a few months after I downloaded, it it just wouldn’t open at all. Even if it did it wouldn’t work for my xbox(xbox one) sometimes my xbox wouldn’t show up at all( might be on my part for that one). When I downloaded this app it also went onto my iPad. This app still for some reason worked on my iPad but not my phone? Can anyone help me with this.

Works well. I use this for streaming on my Xbox. Play, pause, movies, tv. That way I don’t drain my controller battery just to pause or change channels every few minutes. I use the white remote option. Thanks to app developer 👍🏼

Remote won’t connect. Absolutely love because one of my controllers will not work. Worked fine then all of a sudden it won’t connect.

Great for annoying siblings. The other day my brother was pestering me so I downloaded this app while he was playing and turned the Xbox off😂. Use at your own risk for pranks though😂! Highly recommended.

Could be better just needs some work. It works great sometimes and it’s really use-full when i can’t find my controller however it likes to stop working on me and i have to delete the app and reinstall it for it to work again.

Works sometimes. It’ll work sometimes then other times it won’t at all I’ll have to delete the app then reinstall and then it will work it’s kinda a pain but if your desperate to have a Xbox remote on your phone then you’ll use it. It would be amazing if it would connect every time then I’d probably even pay for it. But it doesn’t soooooo

It’s ok. I have no idea who thought it was a good idea to add ads to an app where your constantly touching the screen and if you accidentally tap the ad your not able to use the app on your again unless you restart the app, it works great there’s just no reason for some things on there such as buttons that do nothing and constant ads every 20 seconds if you are using this for console and you have money laying around I’d say just buy a controller it says you a lot of time

Great solution, but doesn’t seem to connect all the time.. Fails to connect 25% of the time. When it works its great. Also, the interface could use a facelift. Love it otherwise. Keeps me from needing another clunky remote lying around.

It works!!!!. It’s a great app, really and it actually works which is shocking. The only problem is the poor design which you don’t really care about if you’re having problems with your remote and all you want is to turn on a show to watch. The only reason why it doesn’t have five stars is because I don’t like the number five.

Worked for awhile. This app just lost all its credibility for me. I’ve used this for a little while and out of nowhere it starts crashing when I open it. And when I say crashing I mean 2 seconds after I open it. I’d recommend just investing your money in a Xbox controller or remote when you get the chance. This is not a permanent solution. Major bugs even when it is working due to the ads popping up every 20-30 seconds. Makes the remote stop working then you have to close the app and re open it. Also it rarely connects the first time, you have to close and reopen the app over and over till it works. It’s a garbage app

Used to work, now it crashes. At first it just worked then it started saying nil when connecting until you relaunch it and then it would work. Now it just crashes on opening. I tried reinstalling it but no luck.

Great app!!!. A few days ago I broke the sync button on my Xbox and I couldn’t use it anymore and then I found this app and it worked great I’ll definitely give this app a 5-STAR review!!!!!!!

Nice!. This works great!! I mainly use it if my controller doesn’t have batteries or I’m to lazy to get it. How ever my only complaint is ads come up at random times while I’m using the app and it’s a bit lagy but other than that I’m loving this app!!!

Uhm??. I’ve used this app in the past and it’s actually been super helpful up and easy, now it’s acting up? I need to update my Xbox and because I don’t have my controller, I came to this app and it won’t connect. It just says nil. A little help here?

Awesome app but. It’s a little buggy, I have to open and close a few times for it to connect but then sometimes it can fire the Xbox up first try. I paid for this app because of the work I saw that went into it. And still believe I got a good deal even with the bugs. As a dad this app has made my life so much easier at bedtime with my new born. We watch tv with the Xbox and as any parent knows it’s hard to get up and grad a controller while holding a sleeping baby. It’s great once it’s connected there’s no issues until the app is closed. But even then 5/5 good job dev

Amazing!. This app is awesome and when I’m in my bed in Netflix or something and my batteries are charging I can turn my phone on and just put something else on or turn my Xbox on at any time but the xbox turn on takes a while.

Perfect and smooth!. Ran out of batteries for my controller like a dingdong and didn’t feel like bringing my lazy self to the store. This app saved my life. You can’t use it to play games obviously, but it’s great for general navigation and switching apps, all that good stuff.

It works fine for me. You have to make sure your Xbox accepts connections from any device. At first it would just buffer for ever without a notification that won’t connect but once I figured to change the setting it connected immediately.

Adblock highly recommended but optional. Awesome app and if your device crashes it means your device is either super clogged or your storage is full but if you link your Xbox to your tv you can turn off and on both of them. Awesome

THE XBOX APP ALREADY HAS A BUILT IN CONTROLER. UPDATE: I emailed the app developers and they never got back to me. HOWEVER I DISCOVERED ANOTHER WAY!! IF YOU DOWNLOAD THE XBOX APP, LINK YOU XBOX, AND CLICK THE XBOX CONNECT ICON AT THE TOP TWORDS THE RIGHT SIDE IT ALREADY HAS A REMOTE CONTROL BUILT INTO THE APP!!! (ps both decides must be on the same network to work!) ORIGINAL REVIEW: Everytime i connect to my xbox the app crashes, it was working well for about a year but a good while ago this app just stopped working and wont connect to my xbox anymore. everything is up to date and everything, the app just keeps crashing. i even tried connecting to a different xbox to make sure that the console wasn’t the problem and the app crashed again. what can we do to fix this? i have also uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my xbox, reset all my network settings, reset my router- im not sure how we can fix this issue.

Pretty decent!. Sometimes it disconnects for long periods of time and won’t reconnect, but overall it works really great. It’s pretty intuitive and the best remote app I’ve tried. Ads can be a bit tedious but they actually pop up less frequently than the remote option I tried before so they don’t bother me.

Sometimes it works.... Sometimes it works... and sometimes it doesn’t 🤬 Really frustrating at those times. It literally shows me my console in the list of devices that I can connect to and when I select it, tells me it was not found. In other words, it literally FINDS it and when you select it as an option, it tells you it’s NOT FOUND.

Works fine until it doesn’t. Worked great for using apps. Until it randomly doesn’t connect. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Didn’t fix it. It shows my Xbox on the options and then said “nil” after trying to connect. WiFi’s working great on phone and Xbox. Does this often but usually starts working after trying enough. Now it’s not connecting at all.

I don’t like this!!!!!. I downloaded the app so that I could watch movies on my Xbox and it made me put in my credit card information. I have to put it in my information. It automatically signed me up for a gaming site that charges me and I cannot find out how to unsubscribe from it so I’m going to my bank!!!!!!!!! do not download this app!!!!!!!!!!

Lots to be desired.. Massive connections issues, don’t expect this to work 24/7. Extremely intrusive ads that are programmed to take over your screen after a dozen or so button clicks. The developers clearly think the app is worth more than it is based on what they’re charging for the ad-free version.

No connection to Xbox. The app does not connect to my Xbox1, I thought it could possibly be a problem with my Xbox so I tried this app on my other xbox1 and no connection there either, all devices were connected to the same wifi so it makes no sense as to why the app wouldn’t connect to either xbox. Long story short this app doesn’t work and don’t waste your time.

Complete Crapp. Half the buttons don’t work and they one that do like the home button (turns off Xbox doesn’t even go home) have completely different functionality.

For me. The app was completely useless. It didn’t allow me to connect to my Xbox even when I put in the manual connection. Maybe it’s my phone or maybe it’s the Xbox but I’ve used this phone to connect with other Xbox’s and it went really easily.

Controller is terrible. Using this app was very difficult. The touchscreen was very jerky and I had difficulty scrolling to precise locations making it impossible to click on buttons/links etc.

Only one negative.... This app works great, my controller stopped working and this was an awesome alternative as I only needed it for Netflix. However, I have to continuously go back and re-connect to my Xbox. It never shows the first time, so I always have to refresh twice - and then it cuts out after every couple of actions.

“Can you hear me now?” - “Not good”. 40% of the time, works all the time. Seriously though, it only works less than half the time. Good luck trying to get it connected to your xbox. Sometimes it works on the first try, sometimes on the 15th try and even some never at all.

Connection. When it does work it’s great. But 9/10 it has a hard time connecting to the Xbox. It’ll be loading for a while and then close out by itself. On a good day I’ll click on it about 4 times for it to finally stay on the app and connect.

Doesn’t work, crashes. Works long enough for an ad to pop up, you say “this is really useful, I’ll just pay the $3 for no ads” then right after you pay the app will never work again 🥲

Disconnects often. I loved this app when I first got it... and it’s great when it works... but it disconnects from my Xbox occasionally and sometimes I can restart it and it works but other times it won’t work for days at a time, frustrating.

Remote won’t show on my phone. I just downloaded this app it works great but there’s an issue with the remote, when I click my device that I’m going to control from my phone the remote won’t even show up.

It like Rome it was one great. It worked for years and on every other phone but now with the iPhone 14 pro max it just crashes so I had to delete it

Rarely Every Works. I downloaded this app with high hopes of it working, but when I tried to connect to my Xbox it said nil (non existent). So after trying a few more times I hard reset my Xbox, and it worked on the first attempt to connect. It’s not a really reliable app, but it most certainly works.

Paying for ad free doesn’t work and the devs ignore the issue. I paid for ad free on this app and all that happened was they took my money. When I reached out to the devs my issue was ignored. Don’t waste your money.

Okay so I download the app and when it showed me all the devices to pair too I set my phone on the same Wi-Fi as my Xbox and when I click Xbox on the list of devices it just closes the app on me every time it says connecting for like a half a second then it closes itself out and never connects

Amazing. The app immediately found both of my consoles, and even works to power it on once connected! Super simple, amazing app.

Keeps crashing. My controller has stick drift do i love this app.. but When i open the app it just crashes immediately, worked perfectly before. Just needs an update ill change the review when the priblem is fixed

Doesn’t work. Pulls up both of my systems (XBox360 & XBox 1S) on WiFi - won’t connect to either. Tried to add manually with their IP addresses - still won’t connect. Each time: “Trying to connect with engine 1” then “nil” - and nothing happens. Tried on another of my WiFi networks - same issue. Don’t waste your time.

Not working even with everything what its supposed to be. I was happy to find a new remote option for 360 since smartglass is discontinued but the thing simply isnt working. All network connections are on point but when it tries to connect i get “null” at the bottom of the interface. What gives?🤷🏽‍♂️

Doesn’t work anymore. I had used the app for a while and it worked fine but now every time I try to connect to my Xbox the app closes out

Waste of time and money. I saw some decent reviews at the top and decided to give this a go. I bought the ad free version expecting it to work pretty well but it won’t connect to anything and every device I try to connect to just says “null” this was an extreme letdown and I would like to know how I can get a refund

Don’t waste your time.. Everytime I try to connect this app to my Xbox it just says nil and will not connect. Either through selecting my Xbox to trying to connect manually. No explanation or additional help. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling and still nothing.

Not working. It’s currently not working,!!!!! Needs to be fixed

Works about half the time. Yes it works but, every time I actually need for it to work it just tries to connect to my Xbox forever and it won’t do anything. Very annoying actually. It’s like do I spend 30 minutes trying to figure out what when wrong to get it to work or do I just get up and use my controller. Not a hard decision.

Amazing. So it’s amazing but one thing I would recommend is that you make it so you can play on your phone

USE XBOX APP. This was glitchy and slow would not recommend but if you need a remote for Xbox I suggest downloading the Xbox app and using the remote features there is so much better and actual Xbox brand

Can’t change the volume with it.. Just wanted to change the volume on the XBox but my girlfriend is sleeping in the remote. Thought this would help but you can only scroll with it.

It worked then it didn’t. It worked fine for awhile. Only thing it wouldn’t do is control the volume on my TV. Like the actual Xbox remote does. Now it doesn’t even connect to my Xbox.

App is alright. Often times I will lose connection, and the only way to reconnect to my Xbox is to uninstall the app and reinstall. It’s awful to do it but it gets the job done after I reinstall.

Markita James. I love it because it have Touch screen and a remote on a phone screen and a tablet screen

Ehh. The app works good for the first half but when you disconnect and try to connect again it won't work sometimes so I would have to delete the app then re download it.

It actually works!. This app, unlike others actually works! It does sometimes lag me out but other than that it’s perfect!

Life saver. Love this when I’m stuck on the couch holding a sleeping baby, pumping or nursing. Haven’t had any issues!

Stopped Working Suddenly. This app came in handy when one of my controllers stopped charging and I didn’t have batteries for the other one. After using it for a few months it stopped working completely and won’t connect to my console.

Terrible App. Won’t connect and have to try at least 5 times before it recognizes the XBox. Also the adds pop up while you are trying to use it and have to close them just to get back to the remote.

It is ok. I like it. It allows you to use your Xbox from your phone. The only I don’t like is that it has ad’s and it sometimes glitches so don’t get your hopes up. But still it works
