A unique and special game!. When I first downloaded Grayland i was a bit confused on what the storyline was. While at first it appears to be a minimalistic game it really is worth it in the end. Wonderful job 1der. Thank you so much for providing such an amazing experience. I do not know why but I feel like the story of Grayland and the little bird you control can be continued, with an even more immersive story. I would love to see Grayland 2. There’s still so much to discover.

Completely distracting ads. The ad banner appears after a couple minutes of game play and does not time out. It is there as long as you continue game play which is distracting and totally ruins the dark, moody theme of the game. Seems like a game I would have liked. I even would have paid a few bucks to have it without ads. Now I plan on deleting it and avoiding other titles by this developer.

One of the best games ever!. This game is amazing! I don’t regret any part of downloading this, the storyline is very good and Fun to play.. altho this game is hard, And it needs a lot of patience and time to beat, at first i thought the shadow pointy guys were the bad guys but i was wrong Xd this review is kinda short, and theres some bugs that i forgot to mention, theres a bug that makes it where you cant enter the next level and have to die, its like theres an invisible barrier, and the second bug is that the bird cant fly anymore, its weird, you have to exit out of the app and close it.. And if you don’t want to buy the full game you can always just watch an add in between levels and you can still play! But if you want to buy the full game it’s only like 4 dollars! Great game. This game is phenomenal. The only problem is simply the way that the bird moves can cause issues. The plot is fun to try and follow . It’s so gripping that you won’t realize when you finish the game .

Things you need to know. I think Grayland is a wonderful game, but there are some things you need to know. The game starts out a well oiled game but, then a soon as it gets good it says you need to pay $3.99. Now there is also the age restrictions. Being a kid I've tangled with a lot of unnecessary age restrictions and you may think 9+ doesn't make sense, but the guns violent cats and nuclear chickens (I know this sounds weird but just roll with it) but dude you this is really an intense game. Grayland has beautiful graphics beautiful music and active complex and unique gameplay.

This was really fun!. Honesty, I wish this game was longer! I understand it was a story and it had to come to an end, but I played through the whole thing in like, a couple hours and it made me sad when it was over. But the gameplay was fun, the levels were just challenging enough, and dang it if I don’t like birds and aliens and all that fun stuff.

So addicting and superb. This game is so addicting, and so cool. It was also very challenging. some levels took me a couple of days, sometimes weeks, and that’s what I loved about it. Great game

Only one problem. I LOVE this game I do not know a better game then this because it is KILLER. just great. The only thing I hate is the ad at the bottom it’s annoying and it blocked the blue bird so then I didn’t know it was there but that’s the only thing everything else is just great. The story, the action, and I love how you become the alien it just awesome. If there is every another part or something else so much like this then pls tell me. Other than that yup it great nothing better. SEE YA!

Impressed and Accessible. For such a detailed game, similar to Playdead’s INSIDE, It is surprisingly free. Most games like this will allow a free play through up to x amount of chapters and then ask for a fee to continue playing. While each chapter requires an add to open, it’s free. Absolutely worth the play through and ads.

Noice. Really fun and challenging (but no one likes a game without one 😉), ya don’t HAVE to pay, watch and ad for each level instead but hey, it’s really good. Overall 10/10

An actual artwork. At first I was skeptical, a minimalistic game with less than 700 reviews? A little sketchy. But to be honest, I am so glad I downloaded this. At first, the game was a bit easy, but the graphics were amazing. Then as the levels went on, it gradually got harder. You do have to either pay a small premium thing for cheap or watch ads to get to the next level, but I didn’t mind watching the ads anyway. I didn’t expect for there to be a storyline in the first place but as I saw bits and pieces of the plot I realized just how amazing this game is. I will say, there are a few bugs, like if you come across a scene and you accidentally skip, you can’t rewatch it by going back to the level, and for one particular scene, it let you go out of the map from that point. Other than that, it’s an amazing game, and deserves so much more attention and support.

Short but fun. It’s a very well designed game with beautiful graphics and a sweet story. I found the mechanics very fun and interesting. I did pay the 3 dollars for the full game, and I’d say it was worth it. (P.S: if you’re having trouble with the color changing level, try matching the color of the device and pooping on it)

Looks great. I’ve only played a bit of the game (only 3-4 levels so far and I’ve noticed that it has some similarities with gibbon: beyond the trees. The animation of everything is very smooth and looks very nice. The animated background is nice while not being too intrusive. The foreground is a good feature that helps the game feel more 3D (while being 2D), and not many games have it. Fun and nice looking game overall

Great game. I went into this game expecting it to be a low quality time waster. But I enjoyed every second of this well made adventure. The controls are incredibly simple, and yet the gameplay is still fun. I finished the game in a little over an hour, so it is a bit short. However, I highly recommend it for an hour of fun if you’re bored.

Ow…. A simple yet Interesting game concept. However the controls are TERRIBLE and ruin a lot of the gameplay and makes simple tasks difficult. The way the joystick is placed makes it impossible to use my dominate hand to control the bird and so my left hand is constantly cramping. There is no way to move the joystick in the settings. Not to mention the ads start off reasonable but only get longer and longer. Then there are glitches, got shot once and the game crashed…

Unexpected but wonderful. I found this game randomly when I was bored and thought “art style looks nice, I’ll try it.” I’m glad I did. This game is great, from game mechanics and story, to art style and sound design. You can expect nothing more really from a free game, and I really appreciate that you could choose to watch videos between levels instead of paying to unlock it. The bottom banner ad wasn’t that much of a nuisance, other than maybe once blocking a little colored orb or two. I just wished they removed the bottom banner for the last cutscene/end credits because I couldn’t see some of it. Otherwise, very very well done from a seemingly small developer (based on the credits), I was quite impressed. This really renews my faith in the quality of mobile games out there.

I like it but it!. I got to a point where I could either watch a video or pay, so I paid since I do like the game. Now it just keeps taking me back to the screen where I can watch a commercial or pay and i can't continue. I tried to restore purchases but that doesn’t work either. Changed the rating, restarting everything fixed it.

Awesome game. The storyline kept you in awe while there was multiple challenges to face, I love the amount of detail and how it adds up as you continue to play this is truly an amazing game that deserves a reward, you should definitely play this!

Too bossy and some levels can’t be passed. Now I love the game and all, but on the level in the factory of colors I can’t pass it, I don’t know how to disable the toxic on the roofs, and no matter what the door won’t open, it also tells you to pay 3 dollars just for colors and being able to unlock levels, I got sad that I couldn’t beat the level, and I got super angry, please make hint bulbs so things won’t be impossible. Also maybe level creating? After you finish the game you can create your own levels, other people would create their own and post them. I thought it would be cool.

Outstanding. Totally worth $3.99!!! It’s not the longest game but I had a blast playing it. Great/chill music, fantastic graphics, and a nice touching story. Aliens, birds, cats, coyotes, and horrible humans. All in all I’ve never paid more than a dollar for a iOS game. On a whim I bought this one during the quarantine and don’t regret it one bit. I look forward to seeing what these developers come up with next.

Amazing Atmosphere. Great short game but definitely worth the play through. Controls are good even for touch screen, obstacles and challenges were challenging but fun. But above all the great thing about this game is the style and atmosphere it establishes.

Nearly perfect!. This was a really fun game, although pretty difficult and angering sometimes but overall it’s amazing. There’s very few things that bother me in the game, but I think it’s just that the game is hard and your gonna need lots of patience. I really like the plot of the story too. Beauty in simplicity. It took me a little over an hour to finish the game. The entire thing is free, it’s not just a demo- that being said, you can either pay a super small amount one time ($2 I think) or watch one 30-sec ad to advance to the next level each time. So the whole game is entirely free, if you’re willing to watch some ads here and there (and the ads only happen between levels so they don’t interrupt the gameplay). And honestly, there are still less ads than any other free game I’ve played. The beginning felt a little slow but the more I played, I thought “….ohhhhhh!” It’s so worth it. I love the little details, the mechanics are super easy (literally just a joystick on the left and tap on the right), the story is beautiful and simple at the same time, and it isn’t too difficult - the levels get a little harder as you progress but it only took a few retries to complete them. I love the development of the story and characters (even though there’s only two, being a bird and a spike-alien but they’re both interesting nonetheless) and I felt engaged in the story. I definitely recommend this game, and I hope for more from this developer in the future!

Incredible, beautiful, stunning. I don’t ever really write reviews but this game deserves it. The storyline is wonderful and the graphics incredible. I have been looking for a game like this for a long time and it came out of the blue. And my favorite part is that you don’t need premium. You can watch ads to continue on in levels. And I love how there is also action. That at times you are fighting. I will definitely play this again. Please give it a chance.

Adorable!. The style of the game reminds me of others like Limbo, Odd Planet, and Typoman! I always love these, as they always have a touching story that needs little to no dialogue to tell it!

The vibe and adventure is meaningful. Interesting that the bird is the only color in the whole grayland universe, with the rest having no color, no purity. The whole story gives a true meaning to understand the story and enjoy its music and vibe. The next good thing is how the player will love to continue the story and go on. What makes it challenging is that there are only little options to do but each moves you toward something. And also, nothing's that much hard; only with a little focus everything will go on. But the only thing bad is why the rest of the levels has to be paid by money. I Just wished all the levels were free, so any players that have some problems caused by region or technology payment problems could continue the story to its end.

Price for such a simple game. Beat game in single sitting, felt like it could hace had more puzzles and pushed it to a few hours. Otherwise, very good game. Similar to inside and their style, simple & complicated. Thank you for the time.

Decent, needs improvement.. I can tell this game was well thought out. I also don’t mind the age restrictions or payment, We all need to make our money somehow. The age restrictions, which many people seem upset about are made to provide a safe online environment for kids. If you are angry about that well then you’re most likely a kid. Age restrictions are set to protect children from danger online. (I think I’d know best when it comes to this because I wasn’t watched on the internet as a kid and made a lot of dumb mistakes that could’ve been seriously harmful) I do understand it can be annoying at times but if you’re young you really shouldn’t be on the internet 24/7, And I promise I’m not some mid 30 year old mom trying to spit all this in you’re face haha, I’m only 14. But back to the topic, I love this game, it’s beautiful in every which way and the art style is spectacular! Just wish it wasn’t so difficult.

Amazing and challenging game. This game was fantastic and a real joy especially for one that is completely free. People are complaining about the amount of adds, this blows my mind because you only have to watch ONE add per level. I’ve played plenty of free games which throw adds at you repeatedly and multiple ones at a time. The amount of adds for the free version is very reasonable and there is no point in paying for it. The game itself is great, very challenging and rewarding. Interesting story as well. I really enjoy the shadow games and have always been a big fan of Limbo so after seeing the same style of this game I had to try it. The last half of the game is the best. It can be hard, but there are tricks to win and it takes determination and rewards you as you go along by adding something towards the end I didn’t expect. 5 stars if you are a Limbo fan!

Very depressing. Really good but also like super depressing, the ad at the bottom was way more annoying then anything else in the game and I think there should be more then 17 levels. Extremely good game!

It’s cool but... Good game and good graphics. Happy I didn’t pay for an hours worth of game play before the game was finished and complete and roughed it through the adds (1 per level and make sure you watch one before closing down or you have to start level over). Reason for 3 stars is because game was so short and paying for a game this short is senseless and it would have gotten more if the game play would last a lot longer.

One of the best games I’ve played. Honestly, Grayland is an amazing game. It has an amazing story line, it’s artwork is incredible and the mechanics are beautiful and very impressive. I’ve read a few reviews and a lot of people were complaining about the ads but the ads come after every level, and the levels are quite long and most definitely worth the ads. Must try!!. This was a fun and very enjoyable game. Reminded me a little of Limbo. If your looking for something not to complicated but mildly challenging this is it, I finished it in a couple hours and enjoyed myself the whole time!

To go along with the pick your own color could you add special abilities and maybe more bird species to unlock? Also I was thinking after you beat one chapter/storyline say the one we play right now we can play a different perspective say the other bird or an army man/alien? It's made quite well than I thought👏🏼. Finally i was cleared all stages!! (the last one was a little annoying because i didn't know what to do with colors) Anyway, It feels like i’m melting into it because it's unique and the art style and music according to the story are well harmonized. Moreover, it is a pity that these games, which can be enjoyed for free without severe interference, are stopped. Please bring it back to life as soon as possible and update it !

Quite speechless. This game has many great features, challenges, levels and very fun puzzles and play through. The challenges are difficult but also keep your interest throughout the game. The story is like a hole different review if I could rate this game a 6 or 7 it would be even better. Easley the best game I’ve played in a really long time and am hoping for another and hopefully similar game.

Amazing!. The soundtrack really fits the atmosphere of the game at first and it remained that way, I got stuck on a few parts but I got past them after a while. The final fight was amazing I very much enjoyed the part where you became the alien, the best part of this game was when you freed the other bird. When the credits scene came I knew I had to give this game a 5 star review because I loved the storyline! I didn’t really like the part where you had to watch an ad to get to the next level, but it was worth watching all the ads!

Good game.. I liked it.... BUT the whole either watch an ad every level or pay to upgrade is stupid. And the rockets. In earlier levels it was fine but later on it was stupidly hard to get past. And the extreme quantity. The quantity would be fine if they didn’t track you.

One of the best mobile games I’ve played. Genuinely a truly enjoyable game. I came in without many expectations, hoping for something to pass a few hours of time that’d I’d be able to pass a little time with. It blew my expectations; I wasn’t expecting to have as much fun with this game as I did, and honestly it’s going to definitely be one I consider as a favorite game. Reading further will contain minor ending spoilers, so read at your own risk. The gameplay: Very simple and easy to learn, but hard to master. Surprisingly challenging midway through the game; not unbeatable, but it definitely took trial and error. Very rewarding once you figured it out. There were only two areas I got frustrated on; the hitboxes for ‘protected areas’ from the shooters were unforgiving, and occasionally confusing as they would blend in a bit too much with the other gray objects. The second area being the ending segment with the alien having few checkpoints, leaving it a bit frustrating to complete. Overall, this did not detract from the experience significantly at all. The rest of the gameplay was so good that it definitely outweighs these issues. The visuals: Really pretty art style. I don’t know what much to say. The style was simple, but made good use with its limited colors and was easily recognizable. The game also made good use of shape language and motifs in its designs. The plot: This was probably my favorite part of the game. It did not have a complicated plot, but what it had was emotional and sweet. The ending was unexpected but tied the game together well and was overall very rewarding. I will not go into detail (to avoid spoilers) but I truly did enjoy it. Advertisements were only needed at the end of levels past the first few to unlock more; due to levels being long and these being the only advertisements it did not bother or disrupt gameplay in any way. In summary, this was a visually pleasing, sweet game with simple but challenging, fun gameplay. There aren’t many non-simulator games with animal protagonists, but out of all of them, this is probably my favorite. Good work on all of the people who worked on this game, and I recommend getting this game and supporting the developers to all who’ve read this far.
