Twobird Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

A revival and revamp of Google Inbox. Fans of the late Google Inbox will be pleased to use Twobirds. The simplistic and artistic design is callback, as also is the bundling feature packed in here. It is feature rich and intuitive. And while it is similar to Google Inbox, I hardly think it is defined by or a copycat; it just happens to be a good approach to email. It is original enough. That said, it’s still pretty new and the bundles are both spot on and...lacking, lol. For example, Twobirds quickly sorted my low priority emails right away - brilliant, and quite discerning. Then, it made two email chains for a conversation that it couldn’t tell was actually one and the same. I’m sure the developers will be working out these finer details as time ushers things on.

Conceptually cool but actions don’t last. I’ve been looking for a task-based inbox and I think I found it with Twobird! Except it’s not working for me. When I mark an email as done it disappears, as intended, but it will reappear in my inbox a few seconds later, usually after I’ve read another email and returned to the inbox. Also, in the action bar at the bottom of emails the icons for Create a Task and Mark as Done flicker back and forth. At first I thought the Mark as Done only showed when I scrolled to the bottom of the page (which conceptually could make sense) but then it would flicker back to Create a Task. So to mark it as done, I need to go back to the inbox and swipe? I’ll wait for a bug fix and try again because I like what I see beyond these issues!

Great looking and very fast email client. i’ve gotta say i’m impressed, the design of the app is amazing, granted i’m not a fan of the low priority mail option as i prefer a standard inbox with all my mail in one place and not sorted but i love that there’s an option to have it that way, great job

Makes email more manageable. If you’re like me your inbox is overwhelming. I open it, and want to close it right back up again. Right now the little red dot on my old mail app reads 322. This app helps me quickly get to the messages that matter most. I just wish I could connect it to my work Outlook account. But that’s a me-problem, not an issue for the app. Great work! But I do wonder, how are the developer monetizing the app? Selling out email data for ads? Feeding it into an LLM?

PLEASE DON’T SELL OUT TO SLACK!!. This app is everything I could ask for from really any app in general, super powerful yet easy to use. That being said, this is the third email app I’ve written this for because the rest have been bought up by slack, and all I ask is that you don’t sell out and keep adding features. Hell, I’ll pay for a subscription if that’s what it takes. But please don’t sell out, I really don’t ever want to lay eyes on the stock Gmail client again if I don’t have to.

So far so good. So far, I’m liking this app for managing a ridiculous number of emails that pop up everyday for work. The one bug that is going to force me to look elsewhere is this: it is nearly impossible to insert the cursor where you want it when writing an email. If you scroll up and see an error, then try to go that error, the app will keep sending you back to the end of the email. It is maddening. I also think the reply box needs to be bigger. If you write long responses, you can get lost. You can only see a few lines of writing at a time. This app, on the positive side, has a beautifully clear interface. It also has had no problem linking up to my outlook account. I think more setting options should be forthcoming, but I get that this app is still in its infancy. For now, I plan on using it and sticking with the developers to see where they take it. I recommend it with the one caveat I mentioned above. It’s isn’t a dealbreaker, unless you write emails constantly like I do and just don’t have the patience to keep chasing the cursor around the screen. For Everyday emailing it’s pretty much perfect.

Looking forward to version 2. Twobird does a lot of things right. Has good speed performance in iPad and iOS. It’s filtering of low-priority emails generally meets my targets for accuracy, simplicity, and efficiency. However, there are some features it doesn’t have that I would need to make it an everyday email client. In particular, it doesn’t display nested gmail labels with ‘subfolder’ structure.

Could it be… the One?. This approach to email and tasks is refreshing - something hard to do in such a cluttered field of email apps. I’d give this one a try - currently just turned off notifications from Outlook and Airmail for this. (Yes I’ve tried Spark and Newton and even experienced the robbery of Superhuman) 5/5: Will check email again. Awesome job guys, rooting for this one.

Meh. Lots of room for improvement. Navigation is a mess and I often have to restart the app to get to the main navigation window. Only one swipe directions and there is only one option that can be specified. No way to delete a message accessed via the recent list. Overall I like the concept but this is a really really beta app. I’m glad it’s free because if I had paid for this I would have asked for a refund. Having the calendar and to do list plus notes available in one interface is great. But having a different markup language for formatting is annoying and something I’ll end up never taking advantage of because I won’t remember it.

This is the email client I needed.. I am an inbox-zero person. It’s the only organizational method that has ever stuck for me throughout my life. Having a To-Do that lets me snooze so intuitively AND puts my email in the same place…?! *chefs kiss* It is NOT for everyone. If you are not an inbox-zero person it will still be a great client, but might not blow your mind as much as mine. (No, I didn’t get anything for free for writing this. But ……..if they now *want* to throw me a test drive of premium features for free I would happily accept 🙂) Either way, I’ve tried MANY and this is my favorite email client. Thanks, Twobird!

Very Promising Email Client. I have been using the app for a little bit now and I have to say that it has been a good experience so far. Simplistic, conversational design which works because emails can be a mess. I will like to see the service able to connect to other email clients outside of Gmail which I would imagine is going to come. Also if there is a way to have a section that offers a team style message place where you can invite someone you been emailing with to a secondary workspace to share files and conversation within the app. I think that would be cool and with the app’s clean look it would work well. This is almost already there with the notes feature. Wishful thinking I think the devs on this are off to a great start. There are a lot of email clients that are out there that don’t deliver on making email simple and easy in terms of use. Looking forward to see upcoming features and how the app grows. Also please keep the app add free. Even if there is a one-time payment which is always the best or even subscription model so that the devs are funded and supported and we don’t get ads.

Best email app in a decade. Remember Mailbox, that one that convinced me to archive my whole inbox and start from inbox zero? I sure do. It was scary, but I clicked that button to mark as read and archive thousands of new emails in my Gmail inbox. And minutes later when it had finished processing that gargantuan purgation, I breathed a sigh of relief like I’d been told that the tumor was not at all benign, but it had disappeared completely. Twobird feels kinda like that, but even better. Now that I’ve been dutifully fighting off the regrowth of that tumor for several years, along comes Twobird chirping and cawing (not tweeting) about how we can just toss almost all those pesky relentless emails that I can’t quite unsubscribe from but rarely want to notice, we can just toss them into the Low Priority pile. Then I can glance over that list of metastatic quasi-garbage every week or two and archive the lot. Bingo-bango, batch archive. Inbox zero just got that much easier.

This app has pontential to do great. Overall great app to use, however I wish you can create contacts for work, school, etc in this app. I also wish there widgets for calender, as well email. Another great idea is able create folders for notes. As well for checking on weather. This app is has a lot pontential, Over all the uvp should one system app to have your contacts, calender, to-do, weather, email, and more, which I never seen other competitors have created one system application like that before. Also please seperate to-do and notes

I wanted to love it, but it’s not ready. I used the app with my work Gmail and work Office accounts (two companies merged),and while I could see the promise, there were way too many gotchas to be productive. Drafts disappeared. Calendar items simply didn’t show up in the Twobird view of my calendars. (Sometimes they did if I closed the app and restarted.) But most frustrating was their attempt to force me to change my workflow. I’m not going to change my notes app. I’m not going to change my reminders. Frankly, the Twobird interface was cluttered with their vision of how they wanted me to work, and I couldn’t figure out how fo get rid of their stuff.

So much potential but still skeletal. So much potential but missing important touches that would actually make it a valuable and differentiated email app. For example, you can neatly organize emails with labels e.g. to manage projects, but still after 2 years you can’t add a note or task into that label so you have everything in one place for the project. Total facepalm how could they not think of this.. Also tasks and notes should be more differentiated and it would be nice to have a few more tools tailored to tasks like repeating and a calendar view or timeline view to visualize what’s coming due soon. Seems like development has stallled. I had high hopes but still leaves a lot to be desired.

Promising But Not Quite There. The UI and concept are fantastic, allowing users to truly manage their e-mails with schedule sends and the whole idea of e-mail as a “to-do list.” But some things are not quite production-ready, like e-mail organization. For Microsoft accounts, Twobird cannot discover subfolders. For Google accounts, Twobird finds subfolders but they turn into awful path strings that users can’t really read. For now, I’ll have to pass on Twobird because subfolders are important to me. But I’ll be back after the developers refine it a little more.

‘Ginger’ cures everything .... Thank you Ginger Labs for creating Twobird and Notability. Twobirds is an uncomplicated email app and I appreciate its ease of use, especially as far as setting up and viewing accounts, gestures and straightforward options. Right now Google and Microsoft accounts are supported but there are rumors of additional accounts support in the future. I use the app for easy back-and-forth messages, notes (you can create notes in the app) and reminders and enjoy not feeling overwhelmed or overly-frustrated with to many or not enough options. Twobirds is what I need right now and the improvements and additions made since it was introduced keep me hopeful that that statement will improve to ‘in-future.’

LOVE THE APP. This app seriously has helped me get all my priorities in order. Between moving states, stating a new position & having added expenses - the app has truly made my responsibilities go smoothly. Would definitely recommend if you are a 'to-do' list person and need a special platform to help you stay organized! 5 STARS!!!

Good App…but. Nice email program with good features but I don’t know why developers don’t make it easy to eliminate the hundreds or thousands of spam emails invading our email programs.. would be very useful and easy to program a feature to search email program and sort by numbers of emails sent by sender in descending order.. for instance if you see a sender has sent 150 emails to you it would be nice to click once and have all of those senders emails deleted and blocked along with unsubscribing. Seems really simple.

Really wanted it to work. The app does everything it says—when it works. I installed it about a month ago and it worked brilliantly for the first week. Then the latest iOS update rolled out & twobird has been glitching ever since. At first it was usable, mainly had to refresh my priority inbox. The latest iOS patch caused the app to not even stay open & active. I need to completely close the app from background, then navigate to the App Library & scroll through to open it from there, and even then it doesn’t load my latest emails, just the cached priority ones. Gave 3 stars because there’s serious potential for the developers to turn this around. Also because I did not actually reach out to them outside of this review, which is on me & not the app or dev’s. Please fix the app!!!! I want to keep it as my email app but need to find a replacement for now.

Worked great for a few months….. I liked this app a lot, then in recent months I stopped getting notifications on my phone, which are important for my job. I tried reaching out to support and they don’t even respond. Probably going to have to move to a new app. Update: after a month or so of back and fourth emails trying to solve the issue, Ginger Lab support just stopped responding. Guess the notification issue is something they don’t care to fix. I think previous reviews are right, this app is promising: however, it’s been promising for 2 years and at this point it just doesn’t work. Moving my rating to 1 star.

This may just be the email client I've been looking for.. I've downloaded every email client available on the app store. Spike was close but was too expensive for me. TwoBird is simple and intuitive. Built-in notes work great and are in realtime. I've made a decent amount of feature suggestions and I'm excited to see what's released next. If they continue this path, I've found my email client. I'm curious about the monetization model, but I'm willing to pay if the price is right.

Promising start. I installed this app because I am a huge fan of Ginger Labs Notability app. I like how the app filters my email into an active inbox and a separate low priority. I haven’t used the not taking features yet. Some suggestions: Long emails open in the middle of the email instead of the top. This needs to be fixed. Pinch to zoom doesn’t work when viewing emails. Hopefully the app will link to Notability in the future.

So Much Promise. So Much Missing.. I would like to start by saying that I would recommend anyone at least give this app a download and a try. That said, there are still plenty of missing features I would hope to see in an app that is so mature. For instance, Microsoft Outlook signatures don’t port over despite the promise of the feature coming in the summer of last year. For this reason, I can’t really use this as a replacement to outlook in the way I might like. The strongest thing that this app has going for it, in my opinion is the UI. It resembles Things in its layout and simplicity. I like but don’t love the “make my inbox a to-do list” function for the simple fact that done doesn’t seem to archive the messages, and I would love the ability to mark something as read or done and archive while still keeping the “hide read emails” options. If I don’t go with the to-do list layout format for my mail box, then I can’t sort out only unread mail which should honestly be a day one feature. This app has the potential to be my very favorite email app, but there is such an emphasis placed on making the user triage their email the way that this app thinks you should and very little room to adjust.

Great email client! Just need to add one more feature. Twobird is a great email client! I love how minimal and sleek it is, and I love how I can write my own to-do lists and set my own reminders into this app. The built-in calendar is also a nice touch. The only feature missing from this app is widgets. I think by adding widgets, it would boost productivity exponentially. Just imagine having a Twobird To-do widget in the Home Screen on the iPad, for example. I think that would really help me get a lot of things done without having to open the Twobird app just to look at my To-do lists. Other than widgets, I think this is a great email client!

The ONLY Productivity App You Need!. This is the first App Review I’ve left since 2014. I’m obsessive about organization and efficiency on my devices. I constantly read reviews of the top iOS email apps and task managers, always looking for the simplest, yet most robust solution available. Microsoft’s Outlook was almost perfect for me, except it missed such a simple yet powerful feature, allowing email aliases. Oh well. Then enters TwoBird…. TwoBird was actually something I stumbled upon by chance, it looked compelling for my use case—and I haven’t looked back since! It has a gorgeous minimal design, no clutter. Very contemporary design aesthetic. And it appears to finally be the company that has understood my pains with fully integrating email, calendar, and tasks/notes. Everything is streamlined beautifully! If I could make one suggestion: Create a setting where users can change the view of their inbox. More specifically, allow the inbox to be sorted by 1) People mode, where it’s sorted by contact, one line per contact, or 2) Subject mode, where the inbox is sorted by subject line, and 3) Inbox mode, which would be traditional sorting. Either way—this is a STELLAR app! Keep up the great work you’re doing! I can’t wait to see what rolls out next!

Functional and beautifully simple. This app looks great, and is a great break from the stock gmail, that I don’t like very much. I love how easy it is to use as well. There are lots of things that are beautiful in their simplicity, just like in Notability. That said, I do have a few problems with it. During the 30 minutes or so I spent poking around, I had a crash when using the Unsubscribe feature. There was also no support for the iPad Pro Smart Keyboard Command keys, even though there were prompts in the settings that said they would work. It must have been just referring to Macs. Since a lot of people are going to migrate to this app because of Notability, I think it’s important to cater a little more to people using iPads. I think that a cool idea that would work great for me is having support for copying over a to-do list or schedule that I wrote in Notability, and converting it into text, then using that to make a reminder for those times, because I love physically writing up my schedule, but there’s no way to add a reminder through Notability. This would help me a lot and would be a great way to create a way for these apps to work together which would be so cool. Overall though, this is a great app that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a new email app.

Excellent Email Client Minus a few Features. I have found Twobird to be an excellent email client for gmail. I really love that notes, reminders, and calendar are all built into one place. I also love the true black dark-mode that TwoBird provides over gmails dark-mode which is more of a dark brown mixed with a little grey than an actual true black. I also like the unsubscribe button built right into the app that will either immediately unsubscribe you from emails or will take you straight to the unsubscribe page for what ever website your you are trying to unsubscribe from. The one basic feature that I still switch back to the regular gmail app for is the ability to select multiple emails at the same time and move them to their respective folders. If this basic feature would come to this app, it would become my default email client of choice.

Great app, needs a little more customization options.. Love the app, just needs ability to make your multiple accounts a specific color so when it’s in the “All Inbox” view you can see messages spectated by specific colors.

Great start. Maybe a few updates will help. Easy to add Gmail accounts. Labels all show up and are accessible. I like the differentiation between high and low priority emails. As others have said, it will be helpful when non-gmail accounts can be added. A couple of suggestions or questions. I do not see a way to delete all trash. Instead, so far I have had to delete each item separately - waste of time. Also, I did not find Gmail’s option to delay sending an email until a future time and date. I use this feature frequently and its lack is a problem. Maybe I just haven't found it yet. Finally, additional swipe options would be helpful. Most apps allow for several to be used. I only saw the option to use one, and that one was limited. In all though, very good beginning.

Has potential but falls short hard. I like the additional options this app says it offers however it is lacking in clearly identifying where things are going. I tried to delete a bunch of emails and it says it archived them. You can filter emails but cannot select all filtered emails to delete them. I used the ‘unsubscribe’ feature but it doesn’t really unsubscribe you- it moves them to a folder for unsubscribed emails and bypasses your inbox. This app promises a lot with smoke and mirrors but it fails to deliver. I will be uninstalling and not recommending this.

Good execution of a great concept. I’m a huge fan of the workflow of Twobird. I like the separation of priority and low-priority emails and the conversational nature of the editor. I do have concerns about privacy and the security of my Gmail account, and of course I’m curious about the monetization of the app. I’d prefer to pay for this and have a more honest relationship. Thus far I’m really enjoying the app and looking forward to seeing it develop.

Incredibly Powerful Email App. I downloaded this app looking for an alternative to Shift and I found it. The issue I was having was needing real time access to all of my Google Workspace accounts. I have found no app better than Two Bird for this use case. The interface is minimalistic, clean, but powerful and functional. I just hope this app is truly supported by Ginger Labs which it doesn’t appear to be if I’m being honest. This also has me looking for an alternate multi device solution because I’m just getting the feeling that this app will not be supported over the long term. Got burned by Newton too many times I’m seeing the signs. The app does have bugs but nothing worth complaining about here. But while I have the Two Bird app and for how it functions now I will gladly rate it a five star! The only app that I wish I could pay for to know the team is incentivized to keep it running. PGP key ring integration would be dopey has well :)

Simple design, poor functionality. I love the design of the app. Simple, clean, modern. However the functionality is poor. Can’t even handle basic receiving of messages. I didn’t get notifications for 50%+ of my emails, and didn’t even see them in my inbox. It has a super aggressive “not important” filter that you can’t change. So just doesn’t tell you about most of your emails. It’s also starts creating all these Labels in Gmail automatically that you can’t turn off. Imagine having “twobird/not important” on every single one of you emails in your inbox. I tried to delete the label then it just keeps adding it back.

Just get Hey instead! Thank me later!. Pointless app! The inbox glitches and jitters as I scroll, making the experience less pleasant than even the base gmail experience 🙄. The unsubscribe feature seems to hang with no feedback to the user. It also litters your emails with several tags. I’ll be sticking to the Gmail app and Hey, as this app brings nothing to the table that those don’t already do better. This app just fell short in so many ways! 👎🏻 Hey has tracking pixel blocking, innovative features that separate it from other email clients, and overall just a better user experience!

Very very good. Much better than Apple Mail. Most things are better; the look, the feel, the push is light years better, in that it actually works, threads are less confusing. Probably means it won't be free soon 😂

Best Mail app I’ve used. Twobird is by far the best mail app I’ve used. My biggest problem with other mail apps is that they end up being too complicated to use, and as a result my email slowly gets overwhelmed. By turning the inbox into a to-do list, Twobird makes it incredibly easy to stay on top of email - and to do so quickly. Really hope they keep the minimal, focused aesthetic going, and continue to support the app well into the future.

The best cross-platform email app. I love that emails and notes can be assigned a date and show up on the calendar. The low-priority filtering is great and the unsubscribe feature is fantastic. What I want: 1. There is a bug right now where the main menu fails to open and I have to re-launch the app. 2. A calendar widget so I can stop using fantastical and use this as my primary calendar! Let me see those scheduled notes, emails and events is one glorious summary on my Home Screen! 3. A better markdown viewing and editing experience on mobile. It would be nice to just see a link as a link, without all the []() etc, you know?

Very impressed. I got this program on Friday. Monday I downloaded the desktop app. I've deleted my old management app, and given up on the Gmail adjustments I made to try and work with it. I love the TwoBird way. I can look at my email again. Just managing my mail took too much of my time, and this has been multiplied by the firehose of messages companies send out these days. This simple approach mixes emails with a reminder and to do list. I find it flexible and easy to navigate. So impressed that I'm hoping the desktop app lets me do some fun things the Gmail interface has. But even if it doesn't, I can still go back to Gmail and have that feature. Turns email from a necessary nuisance into a productivity tool.

Can’t really review it when the app doesn’t work. They’ve implemented the ability to login via Microsoft Outlook yet every time I try to log on (meaning I press the button when you first open the app to add your Microsoft account) it comes up with an error message saying to contact TwoBird support. No matter how much I update the app or reinstall this will happen, and I have reached out to support via email and they’ve yet to really solve my issue (they finally got back to me and asked me if I would update the app to see if that fixed it, it didn’t and I told them that and they have yet to respond). Would love to be able to use this app but it’s basic functionality is broken from the get-go for me.

Gmail only. Why would anyone bother with an email app that only serves google users. Some of us have no interest in giving away every bit of our highly monetizable and intensely private personal information to Google (aka The Borg). I like the dev’s app Notability, despite its cursive recognition not being built in (pay for upgrade) and not being automated (nebo converts as I write) and the magnifier being difficult to access (goodnotes moves the magnifying field along with my writing). But twobirds’ inability to add paid -private- email providers, or any provider except gmail, is a swift deal breaker. Google is the biggest player in the surveillance economy. I don’t get why they yoked themselves to the worst major “free” email provider in existence today.

Visually pleasing and accessible. I LOVE it. Significant visual impairment makes many apps that I need for work + productivity hard to use. This app is easy to look at (design) and visually comfortable with Dark Mode. In fact I just cleaned out my inbox and responded to several overdue messages. Thank you so much!!

Actually feels simple. I was surprised at how easily I was able to get through my important emails in this app. All the little tweaks - the one line reply bar, unsubscribing, merged accounts, beautifully integrated notes - really add up to a nice experience. The only feature that feels missing to me is the ability to quickly make a calendar event and see a 1 day calendar overview. Also if the notes ever support latex markdown (eg $\alpha$) that would be amazing...

A Must Have. The low priority feature is a game changer and keeps my inbox nice and tidy. The notes feature is intuitive and designed nicely to easily share with others, making collaboration on notes a breeze. TwoBird truly integrates my to-do lists and inbox so it is in one place and organized.

Needs other providers. Update: Added Microsoft support, but still no general IMAP or even iCloud support. For that reason I’ve dropped my score from 4 to 3 stars. This is a wonderful app with lots of promise. However, it needs support for providers other than Google to be useable—at minimum iCloud but ideally a general IMAP/CalDAV/CardDAV option. I trust this app but I’d rather not trust Google. If you only use Google products, this is perfect for you.

You have to deactivate account to remove from list. As a test I setup two gmail account that I’ve been using for years. Just to play with the app. I then wanted to remove one account from being tracked in the app. When I try to remove it says account will be quote “deactivated”. I interpret this to mean the account will be deactivated as in turned off , not simply removed from Two Bird. I want to continue to use the account, I just don’t want to view it with TwoBird. If it really does deactivate that is HORRIBLE!!! If it doesn’t and really means just take off the TB list then what a terrible choice of a word!! I’m now stuck with this app accessing that account and scared to remove if it really does deactivate the account. So instead I just removed the entire app. Goodbye.

Seems good, keep working on it!. I am an avid user of this developer’s other app, notability, and I love the approach they have taken and the unorthodox look of the inbox. Just a few things I would like to be changed: I hope there can be more customization options for how the inbox is structured, and more control over simple functions such as swipes (maybe a left swipe as well as a right swipe, have the same swipe function for notes and emails), and there seems to be a bug with the calendar as well, where part of the mini calendar that shows the days of the month is partly off screen, and even if I rotate my device it still is partly off screen. Hopefully you can fix these things!

Nice and Simple. So far I’ve really enjoyed this app. There are some really great/easy features. Love the UI, pinned section, reminders, and super intuitive note creation. My main issues are 1) No account level notification preferences. 2) No scheduled send of emails 3) The unsubscribe functionality appears to be totally non-functional right now. Even with those few small annoyances I really like the current features and potential. Thanks!

Pretty good so far. I was looking for an alternative to the stock email app and I think I found it in Twobird. There are a few additions I would like to see added. I would like it to be able to utilize Push email so I know if there’s an important email without having to open the app to get emails. Also if notifications can be utilized as well. All in all, a great email app.

Perfect and simple way to keep a clean inbox. I’m so happy I found this app. It has the perfect balance of features and simplicity. I love the notes feature and it’s been so handy to quickly save notes and have them accessible on all my devices across different operating systems. Having the app clean old emails has been a real relief and it’s so nice to see such a tidy inbox. I never feel comfortable archiving or deleting many of my emails but one Twobird takes care of them, I don’t miss them. One thing I would love to see is the option for links to open inside an in-app browser. Most of the time I tap a link it’s to unsubscribe. And sometimes using the unsubscribe option in Twobird opens a new tab in Safari to finish the process. I would really prefer not to have to manually close those tabs in Safari. Otherwise, keep up the great work!

Only supports google accounts. This app has a lot of potential, shame that it only supports google accounts. I have non google email accounts I would like to add

What disappointing piece of software. Don’t waste your time! Tried responding as suggested via your support email address, that didn’t work either, besides, I have had extensive discussions at the time I was trying TB with “someone” who failed to replicate the issues I just gave up trying to assist.

Inbox Zero. Got to inbox zero in less than 5 minutes in the app. And it does it in a smart way that is not just “select all, archive”. I think this is exactly what I need right now.

Must sign in with Google. There is only the option to sign in with Google. :(

Not too bad for v1. Good, clean, but... Would love to be able to - further customise Swipe - open PDFs with iOS native markup - open .pkpass files - option to disable notes, to-dos, mail conversations independently - see all attachments by-contact - have user account icons downloaded for me - work with accounts other than google

Two Birds makes email fun again. Delightful user experience makes me actually WANT to clear my inbox. I can’t wait to see where this goes in the future.

Simple & stylish. I was tired of Apple mail so tried a few different apps. This was by far the most easy to read & simple. The low priority feature is great & the fact it doesn’t add to the unread notification is excellent 👍

2 Star Rating. I found the app quite confusing to navigate. The instructions were a little advanced (for someone who can speak fluent English), and it was overall kind of overwhelming? Great app idea though!

Makes life easier. This just makes life much easier! Everything in a single place.

They abandoned it. Excellent idea, well executed, but no update since >1 year. No customer service, written twice to them without any returns. No update, no security patch, no development. What a shame from this team really. An excellent product completely left for dead. Make a basic free app and please add subscription for those who want more

Beautiful app. Really love the look, dark mode is beautiful , both modes are actually, and the practicality of it. One of my favourite email apps out there. Question, Can you, or how can you, delete multiple emails, such as spam at once. ? Is it possible and if not this is a request for that functionality. Great app, keep up the great work, James

For Gmail, not email. The marketing for this product is misleading. This product is only for Google’s “Gmail” product, not for email in general.

Nice. I like the features. It integrates really well with gmail (signatures, contacts, calendar, labels, etc). Smart ideas with respect to notes and to-dos. Looking forward to using it a bit more!

Interesting app. I am just starting with it. It is interesting concept, has great potential. Notability is my favourite note taking app and Spark is my favourite email app. Twobird seems to be combination of both, plus more. 4 stars so far only because it is still in beta, will update my review when other email accounts are support and when I master it. Thanks GingerLabs for trying something new. Can’t wait for future updates.

Sooo much potential. I really want to love this app. With the recent Catalyst update for notability I hope Twobird can come to Mac. I really wish it supported Office 365 or other account types. This would make it perfect and I could switch over to using Twobird daily.

An interesting direction. There’s a lot I love about Twobird. How they approach unsubscribing and auto archiving is amazing. Threaded conversations with text like replies is really nice. 4-stars because it still feels early. They have all the differentiating features I’ve craved or not even thought about, but some of the basics and more native iOS features are missing. But I’m very hopeful, and if it’s anywhere as good as Notability (with the added visual polish they have here), it will be really amazing. My top feature wishlist: - iOS widgets - Configurable notification quick actions - Keyboard shortcuts on iPad - A way to share or integrate with my existing to-do apps

Not too shabby but.... Why can’t I select and copy/paste text from an email body?

Look CLOSELY. Yeah, uh, this can’t be a good thing: “Grant Twobird permission to see, edit, download, and PERMANENTLY DELETE YOUR CONTACTS” Eh... I don’t think so. Deleted.

I really like it’s approach to email. It feels way easier for me to look through and reply to all my important messages. As well having the best smart inbox!

There’s a lot to like. There is LOT to like here. The pixel tracker blocking, and privacy focus is amazing. The seamless way the app knows what’s important and what isn’t is great. But once you start using the app deeply you do start to notice some rough edges. I get weird “ghost” draft messages that show up, sometimes days after a message was sent. If you rely heavily on sorting your mail to labels/folders this app is NOT oriented for that, but rather for simple archiving of messages. I’m going to give it a chance and see if the rough edges are improved. I am an email power user, and while the rough edges can get frustrating, the way the app silences unimportant notifications is way more valuable to me. The app just got a big update, so hopefully more improvements are on the way.

Needs to support outlook/office signatures and then it’s usable. Great app over all. It seems to be able to use my gmail signatures but not anything from an office365/outlook account.

Love this but. I’m finding that my emails do not always go through ... I don’t know if this is because I’m emailing from account #1 to account #2 both of which are in Twobirds or if there some kind of (longish) delay But very very excited to see this app!!!

Awful customer service. I attempted to delete my email from the platform. I kept getting an error message from their customer service. Their customer service has been ignoring my request for weeks and weeks now.

DOES NOT WORK WITH IPAD. After sending an email on my iPad with this app, this app completely falls apart — the screen goes blank. Now, when I open the app, the sidebar is gone; I can’t access sent mail or any folders. These are just a few of the issues. Very disappointing!!!

No support for apple mail? Or Outlook?. First I'd like to say this developer is amazing! I have been using Notability forever. Have to say I'm a bit disappointed that it only supports Google/GMAIL right now. Nothing for Apple Mail or Outlook? Until that's added I think this will be a pass for a lot of people.

FANTASTIC! Now add other email services...please. Twobird is really, really great. I just wish it worked with other email services beyond Microsoft and Gmail.

Good foundation but missing key feature. There is no option to change what the swipes do, so right now when I swipe an email left it marks it as “to do” when I would like it to archive. You also can’t customize keyboard shortcuts on the desktop version of the app. If I could customize the actions it would move my rating to about 4 stars. The last star would come from a simple UI change. Right now when you archive an email a banner pops up at the bottom of the screen, covering all of the buttons. This severely slows down my workflow.

LOVE THIS!. I’ve been looking for a new email application ever since Astro went away last year. I’m really loving this one so far and hope it continues to grow.

Has potential. This is limited to Google and Microsoft emails which makes it not very efficient for a lot of users. It leaves out those that use icloud, yahoo, and aol. Tried it for a bit but missing to much stuff. Will come back to it when it updates the platform.

Amazing Email App that Actually Encourages me to Read my Emails. This email app is the best one yet. But, it would be nice if you would include iCloud emails.

Thoroughly impressed with 1.0. Super clean UI, dark mode support, easy to set up and use. There’s clearly a lot missing for now, but that can be forgiven considering it’s a new release. I’m looking forward to future updates of this app and potentially making it my default mail client.

Lightweight and amazing. As someone who deeply misses google Inbox, this comes close to being as feature packed and adds a couple pleasing tweaks. Can’t wait to see how this evolves! Stumbled upon this one from notability and so happy I did.

Worthy replacement for Gmail app, but.... I like this app. It is well designed and seems solid and addresses some of my complaints about the Gmail iOS app. There is a bug however where it cuts off the digest emails I get from the Washington Post. I'm hoping this will be fixed soon.

I love the philosophy of inbox as todo list. I tried to use many email apps and this one is the best for me. Its simplicity in the way how it handles inbox is the winner for me! Oh and support rocks! :)

Too early to say. Right now this only send to work with Gmail and I'm not even sure it works well enough with that either. Deleted it for now, but I do use Ginger Labs Notability app, so I am interested where they take this over the next few months.

You need this app.. Twobird is absolutely fantastic. When it comes to an iOS email client, I haven’t found one that has stuck with me as much as Twobird has. It’s the perfect mixture of productivity and simplicity, and I seriously commend adding it to your workflow, or at least trying it out. 👍

Very cool email app. The notes is a nice feature but I’m more impressed with the layout of the email conversations.

Great application. Simple.. I have been using Notability and I like the simplistic design. Two birds is great application from Ginger Labs and I hope it continues to grow. I would appreciate if you can add the feature to see snoozed emails on the left side bar and an option to remove the Notes tab. Thank you!

Keyboard Shortcuts!?. Hi Thank you guys so much for adding the send later feature! If this app had keyboard shortcuts for the IPad, then it would literally be perfect!

Best email app ever. Ive used them all. This is by far the only app that has allowed me to destress and de clutter my email. Highly recommend.

# love it. I have tested many of the email applications on the market and always come back to two birds

So far passable. With most recent update my swipe to delete was removed and it defaulted to archive. I cannot find any setting to change back.

Getting notifications twice for every email. Not a good notification set up; getting the banner & sound twice for each email. Also the notifications don’t automatically group in the Notification Centre.

Rudest customer service I’ve ever seen. Not only is the app not worth your time, if you have the audacity to kindly message them to ask a question, you will receive a rude response and be harassed in email. Yes, I have proof. Yes, it’s been reported to Apple. Thankfully THEY take customer service seriously. Seriously though...they plagiarized this app from another company.

More than e-mail!!. I love this app! It’s email but much more! Also has calendar support! It’s powerful but way less bloated than all e-mail platforms. I know because I’ve tried them all.

Updates. Provide as many updates as possible for customers to enjoy the experience of this email app.

So pretty and so functional. I don’t know how I ended up finding this app but it is the perfect mix of usability and aesthetics. First off it brings low priority to the gmail environment and incorporates a notes system internally...an additional I didn’t even know I needed.

Push notifications not working. I loved this app for email. Has all the features I look for and performs well. However, I stopped getting push notifications out of nowhere and can’t find a way to get them to work again.

Great, fast email. I love this app. It’s fast, it’s clean, and it has great dark mode support for various email content. Plus, wonderful web and Mac apps. Let me pay you to keep this going strong.

Great with one caveat. Love the look and feel of the app. Much better than the gmail app. Only issue I have is with push notifications. I don’t get notified with new emails without opening and refreshing. Am I missing a setting?

Pretty good but has quirks. Good concept and minimalist design. Fairly often I archive low priority items and they’re back in an hour or so. Usually go away the second time. ??

Trouble on iPad. I have two bird on my PC along with my idevices. On The iPad if I go to a link from an email, when I return to two bird I just see a blank screen. All is fine on the PC. Two emails to support have not resulted in a solution. I use the iPad as my primary reader for emails so this is a big issue for me.

Good, some bugs along the way. With the newest iOS updates 13.2.2 and 13.2.3, Twobird has been running in the background even though the app is closed and background refresh is turned off. Same thing with other apps, not sure if iOS problem or app bugs. Great inbox tool and great to declutter your busy life inbox

Labor intensive. I'm sorry, but unless I'm doing it wrong, there are too many steps to simply delete an email. And there are no settings to adjust the swipe options, so all we have is archive. Those things are a dealbreaker for me.

So much potential. I hope they continue to develop this … this could be an outstanding email option. The lack of Outlook/360 support is a deal breaker for my full time use - so I hope they add this. But the Gmail integration, the design, and functionality looks incredibly promising.

Notifications. Are notifications missing from the app or are mine not working? I do not receive a banner I. My phone or a sound that a email has been received. It is enabled in the settings in the device to receive notifications but I am not.

Great App. This is a great email app period and a wonderful gmail app. It is fun to sue and I look forward to using it when I can. However most of my email activity is outside of gmail. If it covered exchange/365 and others it would be the only email app I use.

Love it - but y u has no yahoo?. This is my favorite email app in a long time. I really do love that I don’t have to have the Gmail app, the Gmail calendar, and a separate notepad and that it’s all contained but I really do wish that I could add my Yahoo accounts onto it too so that I don’t have to use another app for that.

Gorgeous promising app that just misses the mark. Wow, I wish I could leave Spark for this but I have more than just a gmail email address that I need to manage. This alone is enough to make it a nonstarter for me. This app doesn’t even support iCloud email.... on iOS.

Let me know when there is support for more accounts. It takes a lot for me to invest time into a new email/calendar app to try. This one looked good enough to try and then I could only use gmail accounts. I deleted it after 30 seconds. Let me know when more accounts are coming and I will re download

Love it, but please...!?. Oh my gosh. ALMOST Perfect email app. Been looking for all these features and ease of use and look!! Seriously. Have downloaded so many I’ve lost track. Please!!! Add ability to use other services like iCloud and Yahoo! This would be most amazing.

Great app to use, although only allows connection to Gmail. TwoBird has been pleasant to use, although I have multiple emails and am only able to connect my gmail account. My school email is through Outlook, so I still have to use a separate app. Would be nice to have everything in one place!

my FAVORITE email client. extremely easy to understand and very clean! I find myself opening twobird so much more often than any other email app on my devices. Love it!

Best email app I’ve ever used. I’ve been looking for an app like this for a long time. Using email as a to do list is what I’ve been missing. Can’t believe it’s free!

How do I print an email?. Love this app but sometimes need to print out an email. Cant find out how to do this. Generally though very impressed

Off to a really great start!. Finally an email app that checks all boxes for my needs. Just needs cleaned up a bit. Have a few emails that are significantly sized that crash and won’t load, and it’s not terribly difficult to cause the app to stop responding. So close to being perfect though! Any plans to integrate notes captured in the email client with Notability??

Totally abandoned. I've been using this app for the last 3 years but in the last 2 weeks push notifications stopped working. Their Twitter account have no interactions and support won't give an answer. I don't care a lot about updates since I think the app performs well, but right now it seems stranded.

Awesome app, one request. Please support archiving from the notification. Otherwise it’s super awesome, the sorting between inbox and low priority is very useful. So is pinning and recent list.

Love it!. This email app checks off all the right boxes for me. The low priority filter is exactly what I was looking for. Everything is much better laid out and functional without being over the top compared to many other email apps I’ve tried out. Thanks devs!!

Just started trying it out. Maybe change my rating as I learn the system. I do wish it had a setting to go to the next unread email after archiving or finishing an email! The other features are good so far, very clean and easy to navigate.

Very strong app, like it so far. I like the layout and functions. But, really want left and right swipe options. Need to sometimes ‘trash’ and sometimes archive. Thanks for a new and better app!
