Crashes all the time. It keeps crashing Tried to open but immediately crashes. Used to be that it would open on the second or third try but after accepting the update I can’t open it at all

App Keeps Crashing. I picked the AFL Tipping app as I wanted to go with the official app developed for tips. I hate writing anything negative, but I have a group of 30 people complaining to me because the app keeps crashing. I wish I could tell them they are wrong, but mine keeps crashing too. Every time I haven’t opened it for a little while or close my phone, if I open the app it immediately crashes. Then if I click it again right after it crashed it loads up fine. This is extremely frustrating. Also, I totally understand Sportsbet being associated with the application, but it is extremely misleading to have an entire multi-bet at the bottom of your tips that is auto selected based on your choices. You have some great foundations, but you are failing in some major areas right now. It makes me feel like I need to move to ESPN Footy tips and I would much rather use your app than theirs if both were fully functioning. At the very least - please fix the crashes.

Round winner. Please bring back the ability to sort the Round X Column so we can tell instantly who is ahead in each round after each game. Thanks

Keeps crashing. Every year half way through the season, it’s asking you to update the app and when you do, it crashes even worse, now won’t even open!!! Surely this isn’t that hard to improve! Frustrating and pointless

Works. Logged in to v2.3. Appears to work as expected. I can see the comp I joined at the start of the year. Tips were easy to enter. Hopefully notifications work as expected, time will tell.

Great App. I recommend this app because it shows you all the games and the time there playing at and it gives you something to believe in lol😭

Frustrating. Trying to set up a family comp but app won’t let me sign in, keeps telling me I need to update but no update is available. Sorry but it seems we are off to ESPN! Even when I have managed to log in it absolutely will not let me create comp. I push then link and it sends me to a pre-register page and won’t go anywhere else. Absolute rubbish!

Good but could be better. It’s lots of fun having a tipping comp with your family and friends, and with work, however, I do feel that it could be a bit more exciting. Seeing user fav percentages sways people too much as they then only choose user favs. It’d be better if you couldn’t see these percentages until after the game started and tips are locked in. That would make it a bit more exciting overall rather than being a tad predictable. Just a thought :)

Fantastic. This is such a great app to have so much fun with your mates and a friendly competition, highly recommend

Works fine but keeps crashing. The app is good it and does what it’s meant to do But it could use with a redesign and the crashing needs to be fixed.

Frustrating. A few weeks ago this app was constantly crashing and wiped out all my tips which was annoying as I was leading my comps. I complained but got no response. App came good but today after receiving a message to update now it will not open at all! Absolute shambles!!!

2022 ver crashing heaps. Something very wrong with the app this year. Crashes every time you open and every few minutes. Annoying 🤯. Please fix. Advertisers won’t be getting their money worth with crashes every few mins.

App constantly crashes. Would be great if the app didn’t crash 2 or 3 times before it will stay open. I thought it was just me but everyone in my league has the same issue. It did the same thing last season, would have thought the developers had plenty of time to sort out bugs by now. Pretty disappointing.

Great app!. Well done, an app with an easy to tip feature. Slightly complicated to join the league, but it sends me emails and gives me good information. The app could do with a league table as well.

Free tipping comp. Great to set up free tipping comp with friends or work colleagues to see who can guess the winning teams each week. Not sure if people are widely aware that there are no funds associated with this, it is fun and free.

Update the App. Like a previous review from years ago, the app still isn’t current. Still showing as “we are taking a break” footy starts in a few weeks! This should be available much earlier!

C’mon guys. This app is bad. I used it for about 2 weeks of tipping in 2022. The app crashing every time I open it aside, the app logged me out after round 2 and won’t accept my login details anymore as it has reverted to the 2021 season where I didn’t have an account yet. I have deleted the app and downloaded a heap of times, to no avail. I just use the website now. For an app that is supposed to service the fans of the biggest sport in the nation, it is incredibly bad. C’mon guys, just put an add up on airtasker and get a first year software engineer to fix it for 50 bucks.

Convenient. Easy to use and much preferred to the website as you don’t need to constantly login. Only thing that’s missing is the percentage chance for the teams that to, and only the bets are shown.

The only reason why we have a new one. The most important part of the game is that you can play with the player in your own mind thing about this game

Needs to be updated. Less than 1 week until the 2022 season begins, and the app is still saying “thanks for playing in 2021, we’ll be back for 2022” and then directing me to the website Set up the app so that we can use it to make tips for the 2022 season that starts in 6 days… Apart from that, the app has worked pretty well for me during the past seasons I have used it

New season issues for app. Great app used it since 2019 but this season it allows me to access afl tipping on safari but not on the app as it keeps directing me to the 2025 period. Can we please fix it cause I’ve got a lot of family members trying to join my league but only want to use the app.

Yeah good but needs a few updated. A bit delayed it doesn’t give you the tip until an hour after the game finished and it still says “live”

Private comp. We have a family private comp and after you have registered it won’t let you go into your comp, only way you can see your comp is to go into google first and do it that way, as the app is not working

Need confirmation of tip change. Tip changes too easily when scrolling through app, resulting in a loss. Needs to request confirmation of tip changes

App won’t stop crashing. Every time I go into the tipping app it crashes straight away and then when I go into it right after it’s fine for a minute then crashes again. This is extremely frustrating and needs to be fixed as everyone I have talked to has had the same issue.

Getting worse. - app had the holding page right up to the first game of the season. Had to tip on the web - app crashes every time I open it, and won’t let me update it - a couple of times last season the app changed my tips

Crash test dummy. This app crashes. I appreciate there would be lots of people that use this app (perhaps the volume of concurrent users is a problem), but I think you need to deploy a new release of your app that can cater for this and doesn’t crash….as discussed in many other reviews.

Not perfect. Had no issues apart from not being able to choose the Gauntlet team. Had to log in via the website. Please fix!

Constantly drops out. Not bad to use when it does work… but has content server connection issues, not just myself having the issue but plenty of other people I’m in tipping contest with.

Crash City. I thought the off-season would’ve seen some much needed upgrades but alas, the crashes have worsened. It is literally unusable! I can only enter the tips through the webpage and can’t check who’s tipped what until after the game has finished. Pretty frustrating.

App keeps crashing. Every time I go into the app it crashes in 5 seconds. It’s annoying as when you go to check your tips or comps your in - it crashes every time and I’m close to deleting the app.

Dissatisfied. I got the app in the 2022 AFL Season and for all the rounds up until round 10 it was great worked smoothly and nothing was lagging or glitching but round 11 it randomly started glitching and now I can’t join the app. Please fix the bugs as I can see that many other people have this problem. On the same note the app is very overdue for a update and that could could fix many of these problems. Great App Mostly…. Only problem was that about a month before the season it says something like come back for 2024, so you have to use the web.

App Keeps Crashing. Functionally, the app is fine. But ever since the start of this season, it crashes immediately the first time you open it and you have to open it again right after. This week it’s increased to crashing two or three times before it finally opens, and even then, if you switch to another app for even a second, it crashes all over again. Really thought an update would have come out by now to fix the issue, so to see it getting worse instead is incredibly disappointing.

good way to bet with mates but lots of bugs. the overall concept of the app is great. like the competitions between mates and stuff. but my app is really glitchy and just recently it logged me out and i had to log back in. today i tried opening the app to check how my tips were going for saturday night footy ykyk and the app won’t open, not even from the app store. disappointed aha fix this bug pls.

Useless. Keeps logging me out and then I have real difficulty logging back in. I’m just trying to play the office footy tipping but this app is truly hopeless. Also makes it really difficult to work out where you are placed in the office footy tipping. The layout of this app is just awful. We previously used a non official footy tipping app which was 100 times better than this nonsense. Can’t believe the AFL puts their name to this.

Worked better in afl App. Absolutely bungled this app everytime you try to open the app I get a could not connect to server message I have missed my first game tips too many times as I haven’t been able to place tips for 3 days sort it out

Can’t manage comp. I can see the competition that I created on my laptop on the app but cannot access it even after I’ve signed in. Also when you click on “my account” it asks you to sign in again, only problem is you can’t because you aren’t able to click the submit button because the screen won’t condense.

Would be great if it didn’t crash. I hope the developers of this app are flat out right now. The app crashes the second it opens, you always have to open it twice before you can look at anything. Then once you are in there is anywhere between 1-4 minutes before it crashes again. Considering how many people tip on this app - please fix the crashing!!!!!!

Very poor app - Almost useless for tipping. For an organisation that has annual revenue well in excess of $500M, you would think if you go down the in-house tipping app, make it at least half decent. This app is naff. It rakes multiple attempts to even sign up and then register (it brings you to another website to do that). Then each time you open the app it never remembers you and you have to sign in again every time. Interface is sloppy, feels like your back in late 2000s early days of apps. Everything about it is half-baked. You end up just going to the AFL website and tipping through that route. It makes no sense because the AFL main app is a very good one. Yet they obviously sourced to a different app developer for this tipping app. And on a tight low budget too my the looks and feel of this sloppy app.

My Comp view tips game table order. The view tips function is a good way to see who pick what once the game as started. But after the last est update the games no longer appear in order in the table. I.e round 13 1st game appears in game 6 position

Great App. No issues to date - easy to follow year after year. It brings our competitive family who are spread Australia wide together. Easy to tip - great for both oldies and busy younger ones ! Thank you. Go Blues.

Easy to change pick. It’s happened to me three times now, once last year and twice this round. Each time it’s resulted in a loss because I’ve accidentally nudged the opposite team whilst scrolling through the app. Honestly it is a good app, however, I feel there needs to be a confirmation button when switching tips, because it’s happened to me three times now and I only just realise after the match has started. version just crashes. How is this app allowed on the App Store? Trying to add my tips before the game and it forced me to update.. updated version will not load it just crashes … horrible horrible app. Last version only crashed every other time..

Why all the problems??. Have to update, fair enough…. But then the app will not open. Have to delete from phone then reinstall. It’s 2022, this sort of thing should be a thing of the past. Telstra, please put some time, money and your better skilled app developers into this app.

Update crashes. Tried to enter my tips but had to update app first before continuing to fix bugs. Now the app crashes before I can even get into it. If it’s not fixed within the next couple of hours then my tipping goes down the drain for the year.

App keeps crashing. As the straightforwardcritic says, the app crashes every time you open it. So the process seems to be open then crash then open again. I also note that in the app, you can’t do the favourite picks so you have to go to the desktop and do that. Personally I find that a good option as it then allows me to tweak a lot quicker and put in all my tips for the season and adjust each round. Version. 5.1 has certainly improved the bugs. It no longer opens at all.

Tipping. I like it because you can go up &down very quickly 9/10

App keeps crashing. I have an IPhone 12 and ever since I downloaded the app to be in a tipping comp with my work it keeps crashing on me. It’s so frustrating after this tipping unless the developers can improve the bug, I won’t be downloading it in the future.
