Poor Attempt for an Apple App. There are a number of sport score apps out there and this is not a very good attempt to compete with any of them, especially for an app made by Apple. First, it doesn’t include the not-so-new Dynamic Island or widget features. This seems like a major miss for live sports and seems very odd for an Apple app to not use these for an app it seems like a no brainer. Additionally, it doesn’t include some major sports and leagues, such as the Champions League, Formula 1, or tennis, which makes it nearly pointless for me. If you think this app is interesting but lacking in features or missing something you want, check out Sports Alerts.

Feels Unfinished. Not sure why the app was released in its current state. I was excited for an Apple Sports app that could replace the ESPN app for me to keep track of the teams I care about. But the app currently available feels incomplete. It’s missing NCAA Football, and NFL among others. It lacks any real stats or easy ways to explore other teams outside of your chosen teams. It also doesn’t include rankings for college basketball which is a huge part of the sport. The app just doesn’t seem to offer much in its current state that wouldn’t be better served through the ESPN app. It looks a little nicer and doesn’t have the extra annoyances that come with the ESPN app, but the missing features and information make it an easy pass right now unless things are improved.

Missing a few things. 1. The app doesn’t tell you where you can watch the games without launching Apple TV, which sometimes is connected to an app I can watch it on but sometimes not. The ESPN app for example tells you where the game is streaming without even having to select the game, great feature. 2. In order to see league standings you have to select a game then scroll down past the details of that specific game. Doesn’t make sense. It’s nice to see the standings so easily when you’ve already selected a game but it’s weird that there is no other way to view league standings. Otherwise a pretty smooth app, interface is very on brand with Apple

Promising but needs work. The UI is this app’s saving grace, and with the right improvements it could maybe be a go-to scores app in the future given it’s part of Apple’s ecosystem. But there’s no semblance of organization to the home page, it’s just a mix of all the different leagues you follow jumbled together. The biggest flaw is it doesn’t list the channels anywhere… probably a top 3 most crucial feature to any sports app is telling you where to watch the game, so the lack of this makes it unusable in its current state. Also, where is the NFL??? The largest sports league in Apple’s home country doesn’t even have its existence acknowledged. Granted the season just ended, but it doesn’t entice most average Americans who love football most to keep the app. A smaller personal annoyance is they use the outdated Twins logo from two years ago.. How does Apple not have access to the latest official branding of MLB? Just add a few important things, allow people to sort by league and scroll all on one screen and it could be a nice app eventually. Hope to come back when that happens.

Has potential. It is obvious this is not a finished product quite yet. There are minimal features compared to competitors, and even those features are limited. For example, you cannot select NCAAB or NCAAWB as a league to follow. You can only select a specific conference. There is also no way to get more details about a team other than their schedule. This means we cannot view team rosters. The design is very “Apple” which is great. But it also feels like this was released too soon. I’ll eagerly be awaiting updates to it as I am sure once Apple invests more into it, it could easily blow past the competition.

Apple Flair, lacking features. As a typical Cishet white man I love sports. I keep track of my chosen teams religiously, and I will defend them to the death. Naturally, when I saw this app on my page I immediately downloaded it. The premise was illustrious: a single place to keep track of all my teams. I opened the app and found my favorite Hockey and Baseball teams already set. Alas, crushing disappointment ensued. The NBA, the NHL, MLS, The Premiere League, MLB. All American,* all the best leagues in their sport. Yet one of the biggest names is missing. Where, oh Apple gods on high, where is the NFL? The National Football League is the single biggest sport in America. Yet still there is no way to track or watch her games in Apple’s apps. Should the NFL be added to this app’s repertoire of leagues, then this app will be 5 stars. Until then, i must leave it with only 3.

This app could be perfect !!. As I see it’s an apple app , this is THE reason to make this review. This app has ,a very pleasant interface for sure and great potential too ..! The first time I installed it I was truly amazed and excited to use it , however what I was searching for in particular … I didn’t find it . I was After an international app that can relate most of the leagues out there, better than other app like sofa score ,also with an amazing speed and precision . I was totally disappointed when I found that it has only few leagues and details about the matches . ! As it is a little bit new I can say , I think apple can work to make a wonderful app for sport 🏀 ⚽️ and keep it free please !!!!!!!!! We know apple can pull off this !

This has lots of potential.. Apple Sports is pretty darn good. Right around the time the NBA Playoffs kicked in this became my goto app for keeping up with games. It’s certainly a better experience than ad-ridden alternatives. Everything is uncluttered and to the point. There is obviously room for improvement though. For one, there are times when the “upcoming” section is fairly inaccurate. For example, the NBA semi-finals are just about to start but it’s showing wins and losses for a series that hasn’t even started as 4-2, instead of 0-0, as if already complete. Or it will show game dates or matches that are inaccurate. Hopefully these issues are just growing pangs. Also, while this isn’t really a criticism but rather a wish. I’d like to see deeper team and player stats. Game stats are great, that’s what we’re here for, but it seems like the next logical step would be to provide stats for at least the season for individual players and teams. Right now you can see game stats, play-by-plays and even betting odds but we can’t click a player’s name in the “Box Scores” to see how this game compares to their season averages or game to game? Or even a team’s season stats? Seems odd to have to leave the app to go find that info elsewhere. Early days though.

Please consider adding UEFA🇪🇺Champions⚽️League. Hi Apple Sports staff👋 It would be nice to have more 🇪🇺European⚽️Leagues🏆 Such as: UEFA-Champions🏆League, UEFA-Europa🏆League, UEFA-Conference🏆League, UEFA Super🏆Cup & UEFA Nations🏆League⚽️ Maybe in the near future you guys could also add all of the Major European National Cups, such as: 🇬🇧FA CUP & EFL CUP, 🇪🇸COPA DEL REY & SUPERCOPA, 🇮🇹COPPA ITALIA, 🇫🇷COUPE DE FRANCE & COUPE LA LIGUE, 🇩🇪DFB POKAL✅ and perhaps even FIFA WORLD🌎CUP since the next one is going to be played in the US 🇺🇸 as well💡Bonus: FIFA CLUB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP🔥✌️😎 Now, about the iOS app:📍FIX Soccer Match Lineup, it needs the Soccer Field Graphic with the players on their positions.📍ADD Players Profiles(with Players photo).📍ADD Teams Profiles.📍ADD Leagues Profiles.📍FIX the -Standing- section(Its too JAMED), take out the Clubs name and leave just the Clubs Badges icons✅ 📍ADD UFC.📍ADD F1. Please consider adding Main WIDGETS and Todays view Widgets, like the app SOFASCORE🔍📝🍎have😉

Promising app. This app is off to a good start but has some issues. First, no iPad UI at launch? That seems very un-Apple. Works great on the iPhone though. One major issue is that I’ve added a few MLS teams to my favorite teams and the upcoming games for them this weekend aren’t showing. That’s a pretty big miss for its key value proposition and surprising given that MLS Season Pass is on Apple TV+ (and I’m a subscriber). It also would be great to see what channel/service games can be watched on, like Google does, with Apple TV app integration. Better yet, if it can also show what SiriusXM or local radio station the game can be found on that would be awesome.

No Premier League/Women’s Football League options. The app idea is great, but the execution is poor. You can pick your teams / leagues you want to follow. I chose to follow the Premier League and my supporting team, yet I’m unable to see past or upcoming matches for my supporting team or the Premier League teams. The option is there to select the Premier League and subsequent specific team, yet no data inputted to actually see the matches played or upcoming matches. ALSO, this app doesn’t support Barclays WSL which is the women’s equivalent of the Premier League. Women’s football is on the up and is watched globally, yet there’s not even an option to select this league? Only men’s football is able to be selected. This app has a great idea, just poor execution. I hope they’ll implement these necessary updates and make the effort to input the data for matches. If that were to happen, this would be a 5 star app easily. Sadly, it’s one that’s getting removed from my phone at this time due to reasons stated above.

Disappointed. The app looks great and I love the ad free experience. Putting standings on the scores pages is a great idea too. However, it takes many taps to get to filter on different leagues or teams; Apple should copy on theScore does it where there’s a top bar of your favorite teams and leagues to filter on in a single click. Or at least make a Quick Action to Haptic Press on the icon and go direct to “My Teams” vs “My Leagues” There should be a Team View with Previous Game, Current Game, Next Game, and Standings all on one page. Hopefully Apple makes some improvements. I’d love to use this clean, beautiful app.

Could Be A Lot Better. I want to love this app, there’s a lot to like so far. I love that the scores are updated basically in real time. It seems to be the fastest score app out there, but I wish there were game highlights and news within the app like ESPN. I find myself still going to the ESPN app for my scores because it offers way more. I also wish this app would separate the sports in the my leagues tab instead of bundling them all together. It’s too much to look at. I’m hopeful there will be plenty of updates in the future to this app.

Clean and solid. Vey nice and clean interface. Lots of good info such as records, spread, ranks, and others. If you click to open a particular entry you get more info on betting odds, conference records and standings, and physical game location. One thing I’d like to request is the addition of the TV network on each game entry. It would be great to scroll through a list of games and see quickly which networks they are on. I haven’t used this to track of a live game yet, but I’ll have plenty of opportunities for that this week with March Madness starting. If the scores keep up and are accurate, I’d say I’ve found a new favorite Sports app!

It’s a good start…. For Apple to finally release a dedicated app for all that’s sports is probably the best thing coming in the future for just how much they can do with this but.. as this is the beginning I’m not expecting for them to go crazy feature packed but there a bunch of missing leagues including NFL which is surprising why? And like this is very very barebones which could be a good thing in a sense but you don’t have to give up on all the features for simplicity. P.S if your going to be growing in leagues Apple I’m letting you know now if you could build with the esports scene it would be big there’s no dedicated app for esports and if they do have an app it’s only limited to one or two esports Apple could join all esports and make a big impact in the space

It’s….fine.. I love that the app is very stripped down and basic. It has great aesthetics. But it’s arrangements seem haphazard, and I wish I could have some control of it. Like, basically at this point in the year, I’m only following college basketball, and I follow a lot if leagues(rather than just a couple of teams. I wish I could group these games by league. Like all Big 10 games grouped, all SEC games grouped, etc. And have those groups collapsible. I understand that the default is that the games are arranged by start time(which would great for the post-season), but in the regular season games usually start in blocks, and this makes the arrangement something that users have to search and scroll through. Additionally, when looking at the box scores. Advanced stats like ‘Player +/-‘ are fine, but it’s probably only worthwhile for fantasy basketball fans(and fantasy college basketball is pretty rare). Instead, tracking ‘Personal Fouls’ would be better and more informative.

Promising start, but I hope they read this for the next update. This is great for an MVP sports app. Extremely clean and fast. Most sports score apps take a long time to load. I also love the standings connected to the games. It’s missing some of the obvious features that would make me delete my other score apps. 1) Notifications 2) Live scores in the Dynamic Island 3) Home Screen widgets I’m sure those are coming. A few minor enhancements I’d love to see. 1) Be able to jump from “yesterday” “today” “upcoming” with a swipe left and right instead of having to hit the words. 2) play by play having just the scoring plays. I want to be able to quickly see goals and who scored them. 3) In the upcoming section some of the far out games are hidden behind a click when there is plenty of room. If you’re showing games through next Wednesday, show all the games even if it means scrolling. Good start, can’t wait for the updates.

Looks nice, but NCAA basketball is very incomplete. The app looks great but severely lacking in information. I’m sure more will be added down the road leading up to iOS 18, but right now it seems more geared towards casual fans only interested in seeing what games are in progress and upcoming matchups. Missing: team schedules and season results by game. Would be made even better by: adding historical schedules for each team by year, or even an option to see a series history between the two teams. Also missing: AP top 25 rankings next to the teams in the scores view, it’s harder to tell what the high impact games are for the day unless you’re a hardcore fan who just happens to know the info off-hand. Would be made even better by: allowing us to change the visibility of these rankings in the scores view, for example, a toggle that allows us to change between the AP Top 25 to something like the NET ranking (or even Kenpom!) — too many teams just barely outside the Top 25 lose out on recognition just because they don’t place within the top 25 out of 300+ Div 1 teams.

Terrible App. Pales in comparison to similar sports apps (CBS Sports). Unless I’m using it wrong, the options for choosing your favorite teams are limited to the specific season. In other words, the app does not show NFL or college football until those seasons start. That’s ridiculous. I might like to keep up with NFL/college football news during the off-season for example. I don’t even recognize some of the sports that are listed (Bundesliga, LaLiga, Liga MX, Serie A????). Realize there are more sports than baseball, football and basketball, but how many people are going to download this app just to keep tabs on NWSL? If you’re looking for a comprehensive sports app, download CBS Sports. It’s easy to set up and allows you to stay informed about your favorite sports all year.

A good start. The UI is beautiful. You can select your favorite leagues and teams, and their games for today or upcoming will appear on a main dashboard conveniently for you. Stats are also shown for the game you select. For soccer specific, I like that it shows me the current team standings, the play-by-play, and lineups for a game. I’ll add more stars to my review once I see, and like, a section for stats on professional players, news specific to a league, and media. I would assume media right now would be exclusive to MLS since Apple holds the rights, but that will likely expand into other sports / leagues. Apple, you have my attention. What’s next?

Shoehorned into Apples UX. Apple does a lot of amazing things, but this sports app isn’t one of them. A lot of the reviews on here rave about the UI/UX. but I honestly think that’s one of the worst aspects of it. They’ve tried to flatten the sports genera to something synonymous with their weather app. Unfortunately sports are not that simplistic. There’s a TON of data and content that needs to be communicated to the user, and this current construct feels overbearing… and this is without the addition of additional critical features that are missing. The product is already super heavy. It’ll surely collapse in on itself when they introduce new features. The mistake they’re making is trying up leverage existing Apple paradigms for a product that needs new paradigms.

Over advertised for an underwhelming app. The app is pretty basic, and doesn’t have features like live activities or information on where a game is airing. It also lacks visibility into a teams season schedule, only showing 3 days worth of upcoming games. Nice design, but a surprisingly lackluster app in its initial iteration, feels like it launched early. The score is more a rating on the advertising of this app. I have it installed and use it. But Apple feels the need to pop up a full screen ad for it when opening the News app, even as a subscriber. Raising the rates for these services while also using them to advertise other apps feels like a greedy move. Cut back on the marketing and fund some more development on this app.

Hide Odds Option = 5 Stars!. Thank you for providing the option to hide betting odds. I’m a fan of the games themselves and the recent years trends towards an obsession with placing bets on games has been frustrating for fans like me (and perhaps those with gambling addictions too). Having a place to check scores without all the fantasy and gambling noise is so refreshing. For future updates, would love to also see league standings and perhaps some motorsports categories (IMSA, FIAWEC, and NASCAR in particular!) but this is a wonderful start.

Very much a rough draft. Doesn’t have many features yet, interface feels unpolished but I am hoping this is the worst it ever is and that they keep working on it. Would love to see not just scores and schedule but standings, news and more. Also, any sports app requires the NFL, which I will assume is coming but as of this review is not here. Also, Motorsport’s coverage, specifically NASCAR and F1 would be great for those of us that enjoy it. In the end, I would very much love a great sports app that didn’t constantly bombard me with either advertisements or an attempt to get me to use their Sportsbook or daily fantasy, so I am pretty hopeful for this.

Getting There. I don’t have anything much different from what the consensus seems to be with this app. Great idea, on the right track, but another half-baked execution from Apple. Unfortunately, this seems to be their trend lately. I’d be willing to bet it was related to deadlines and/or MLS. I like how simple and clean the interface is. Easy to manage. Strange that an app, FROM Apple, doesn’t have a widget option. Especially a sport-related one. It is a step in the right direction, and I hope they continue to improve it. Will be nice to have a native alternative to the rest of the bloated feeling main sport apps out there.

It’s an Ok app it’s just lacking in some areas. I’ve been using this app everyday to regularly keep up with my favorite teams and leagues. Initially I realized that there was leagues missing from the app. For instance at the time I started using it I was unable to follow teams or games from the NFL. Now I can follow the NFL but other leagues and associations are still missing notably the UEFA champions league or UFC and MMA. With the teams and info that is available , the app works really well in organizing it in a modern interface allowing to choose to have the home page be organized by the teams or leagues you follow. I do wish that the upcoming games tab is easier to see your teams schedule. If you follow more than one team and you attempt to look at their upcoming schedule it will stack the games kind of like how they stack notifications in notifications center. If you don’t click on the team you wouldn’t realize that your other team necessarily played that day. The app displays odds for betting and what not but they don’t actually show what networks or apps to go to to watch these games . You would have to go to the Apple TV app to then see what networks are hosting the game. I also would like to see them just incorporated into the sports app directly.

Decent start, but needs some refining and extra features. I like the simple approach to the app, much less congested feeling than ESPN and other sports apps. You don’t have to scroll by half a dozen stories you don’t care about to see the scores. However, I would like to see some basic features added. The main thing I’d like to see is a tab to look at standings in each league without having to click into a game and then scrolling to the bottom of that score - it’s a little counterintuitive to hide the standings there. I’d also like to see it expanded so you can view overall standings and wild card standings for sports that use that system. The Apple TV feature could be slightly improved as well by just including all the stations that a game is on. I don’t have Sling, but could watch the game on my RSN however when you open the tab the only option shown for a particular game is Sling. If I also see the station listed I have others ways to watch the game that I’d miss out on if I just closed it after realizing I don’t have Sling. Sorting upcoming by sport would be helpful as well instead of just sorting by start time.

Lame. There’s so few leagues listed, and nowhere near the options of other sports apps that have been around for years, including no tennis coverage. Another limitation: it only shows Premier League matches, and not other events in which those teams play - like FA Cup, Champions League, etc.; so it’s not really following the team’s total activity, just the team within the one league. Also, since we live in one time zone but follow global sports, we want an app that can show schedules - without scores - so we can choose which to replays to stream when we have time to watch. I have yet to find an app with that feature - they only hide scores for games in progress, but not ones that are completed.

Add International Soccer and Cup competitions. Great app. Give me just the scores and basic information without ads and a bunch of opinion pieces dressed up as “news”. I can’t believe how many reviewers are completely missing the point with this app. It’s not trying to compete with ESPN but rather offer basic in-game scores and info without all the other distractions. If you want more than scores use a different app. I get that Apple will add more sports as those league begin play but where’s the international soccer and cup competitions? We’re heading into an international break from club soccer and we’ve got nothing. Same thing for Champions league and Europa league. Not to mention CONCACAF Nations league and the Copa - both completions the US is playing in. Given how basic the app is, I can’t imagine it’s that hard or resource intensive to add new sports and competitions.

Thought it was okay, I was wrong, it’s bad. Disappointed that the soccer lineups are just a list. I don’t care to see the betting odds and would like to turn that off. Looking forward to rapid improvements. Lol yah right. Edit: Apple sports app doesn’t appear to have enabled Apple sports widgets?! Really?! Infinite resources and it seem you all didn’t even scan the best sports apps on the App Store and copy their best features. Edit: you can turn off the betting odds in settings, which didn’t appear immediately after installing the app. Also, where are the push notifications?! Edit2: this app is not good, going to drop to one star. Please Apple - get you developers to download any other sports app. Take some hints from what they offer. Also add more leagues and push notifications and widgets and … OMG

Good Start; needs tweaks/other features. Looks great. Missing key data and desired features. For instance in any NHL game there is no easy way to see who scored a goal, the time of the goal, the assist or any penalties. The app should also show when a team is on a power play. A countdown to the next period would be a good addition as well. The standings do not show wild card standings and who is in /out of the playoffs. There should be a way to select a league to see standings, upcoming games and stats. There should also be a way to see stats for favorite teams and the upcoming schedule. I get not having news/articles but these are all things you would want to see at a glance. Also having the ability to turn on a life activity in the app would be great. NHL is currently missing live activity capability.

Great Start - but needs more. First off, this is a great start and addition to library of Apple developed apps. I initially used this to follow a few soccer matches, and then I started following the NCAA tournament (both men and women). The match view screen is clean, sleek, and just downright looks good! The app can be difficult to commit to in the sense it is missing probably the most basic feature it could have, LIVE ACTIVITIES. You’d think an Apple developed app would take advantage of a cool feature of iOS. Scores and times already update on the app in real time, so hopefully Apple is working on integrating Live Activities in a hopefully soon update. Good start Apple, keep building on it!

What Sports?. • I was excited to see Apple publish a Sports App, but I guess I didn’t read the fine print before downloading the. I suppose that my taste in sports doesn’t match with the taste of Apple and it’s young developers. • Yes there’s coverage of College Basketball, men’s and women’s, and including a Tournaments. There seems to be coverage of College Football. The NFL professional football league, and the the professional baseball league - MLB. • I would have thought that the App would cover College Baseball, professional golf, other college sports - Women’s Softball, Track & Field, Gymnastics, Swimming, etc. These sports are all covered on television/cable/streaming, and not on your App. • What is covered is soccer! Leagues from the USA to the end of the earth show up. I have no interest whatsoever with soccer (and I understand that it’s referred to as “football” by it’s arrogant fans). • Despite my comments above, I’m open. Go ahead and show all the soccer you’d like, but how about some respect for American college sports, and especially baseball and softball. • Keep working on it. I have confidence that Apple can do it right!

Good start, excited to see it progress. The app overall is a great start. Fresh, clean UI, smooth movement, and stats galore. There are a bunch of features missing, but other than that, solid. First off, life activities. It would be amazing if we could follow any game within the app to show as a live activity. To increase the UX of the app, I would like to see the ability to swipe between “Yesterday,” “Today,” and “Upcoming” on the main screen for a sports league. It would be much easier to navigate, removing the need for excessive tapping. I would assume that NFL is coming soon, but I would also like to see stats for that, as well as NFL for live activities. Another feature that would be cool to see is possibly a little box on the game page that says “Ways to watch” or something, possibly then expanding full screen into a list of radio channels as well as TV channels that you can watch the game with. Finally, the last thing I would love to see would be a widget for the app. That widget would be great to use for standby mode, etc!! For me, at the time, this feels somewhat bare bones compared to the competition, but I’m curious to see how the app develops, & I will definitely keep it installed :)

Premature launch. Barely usable, the lack of gesture support to switch tabs combined with the fact they are at the top of the interface means this app requires 2 hands to navigate. : / Audit the design against your own HIG and set a better example for other developers on your platforms. Instead you’ve create a great reference of what not to do. This app has lots of potential, and I trust the team behind it is capable of improving the experience. But why this app is both fundamentally misaligned with Apple’s own interaction and component guidance AND was not given even a few more weeks of time to receive polish ahead of launch—that remains beyond me : /

Needs a little more….. I love the fact that the sports scores are front and center, but I would love to have everything in 1 app. Right now you need to jump between 3 different apps to follow your favorite teams. You need the News app to follow highlights, recaps and news about your favorite teams and also the Apple TV app to be able to follow your team for live activities and see what channel or app the game can be viewed in. There should be a better way to integrate all this into the Sports app. Also please add an Apple Watch, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV version of this app.

Double off the top of the wall!. Close but not quite there. This app nails the design and UX of what I would expect from an apple designed sports app. But, like many others have said, it lacks a lot of key features that I believe are natural additions. First, I feel there should be integration/consolidation between the tv app and sports section of news. I don’t want to deal with 3 different apps to satisfy all of my sports news. I should get live notifications for sports from the ‘sports’ app like I currently get from the tv app. I would like deep integration so I can one tap and start watching games. I should also be able to get news about my teams and leagues I follow. Second, I would like more customization of the look and feel of the app. Highlights from social media, or maybe ai generated. Access to third party news and analytics. Lastly, I would like age verified odds.

Love the layout. I love the look and layout of the app. It is easy to read, even in Box Score when other apps you have to scroll through the screen to get it all. The only thing from keeping it a 5 stars is in College Basketball. You need to add the option to look at all Top 25 scores and All Div 1 scores like what you’ve done for the March Madness tournament. I don’t want to add every conference into “My League” just to see the scores for other teams/conferences that I don’t “follow”. Because of that I’m stuck using the other apps until this option is added.

Great but needs some things. This app is great to keep up with your favorite teams and players. The only things that make this app hard to like is the absence of teams there isn’t collage hockey. Two things I would like to see added to this app are for you to be able to select a game to have live scores box on the side of your screen so no matter what app you are in you can have the scores there, like on Disney Plus when you are watching a show and leave the app you just have it playing in small screen on the side. I would also like to have a widget that show live scores of a stared team when the are playing.

So Much Potential. This app can be a really great thing. However, it needs a lot of work. More options other than the schedule would be a start. We need to be able to click on the teams, search players, check their stats with analytics from the last 10 games. Should also be able to view injury updates and news on and off the field/court/rink. The design is really great as simplicity is key when it comes to Apple. I’ll wait and see what Apple does to this app before I update my rating for this app. This app definitely has 5-star potential.

Missing a lot & It could be better!. NO Champions League, Europa League, Conference league , World Cup, World Cup qualifications and much more not gonna name all I believe the message has been received. For the development team need to look at FotMob app that I have been using for so many years and make apple sport app same idea and better. Add widgets and Dynamic Island support, live notifications for favorites team scores. If I’m gonna continue name all the things it needs I won’t be done writing for few hours It just need a lot of things to be added. But good start. Thanks!

Good ideas from a smart human who you should consider hiring for his great ideas. It’s a good idea. Looks cool and all but there’s some changes that need to be made. 1. Needs more leagues; I should not have to add every single college basketball conference to see every game. I should just be able to follow the league itself. Also add college hockey, college lacrosse, the champions league, Europa league, etc. basically add every sport that exists. 2. Stats; I should be able to click on a teams logo and view their roster, player stats, team stats, standings, and other news about the team. There’s are some big changes that need to happen immediately to improve the app.

In the early adopter stage. The app in its current form shows a lot of promise. Sleek, modern, simple fits right into the Apple brand seamlessly. Please devs, as soon as possible though, can we get LOCKscreen widget support for select games. The synergy with Apple Watch is great out the box. It just leaves more to be desired which is a great thing, the app is young. I just feel like the next impactful low hanging fruit would be that lock screen support the Apple way. Great job so far devs, for users don't except too much at this time and you'll be okay to possibly happy with the results. This isn't replacing your ESPN app on day one though. Bluntly.

Effortlessly Engaging: A Gem in the App Store. Revolutionized my sports-following experience with its stellar UI and UX design. Its intuitive navigation and seamless transition from minimalistic pre-game summaries to detailed in-game statistics are simply unmatched. The ad-free, clean layout ensures that my focus remains on the game, enhancing the enjoyment. Every visit feels rewarding, even on days without games, making it a must-have on my Home Screen. I’m eagerly hoping for cricket inclusion to this already impressive lineup. A true masterpiece in design and functionality!

Has potential but is lacking in information. Using current NCAA Men’s Basketball, for my example, all it shows is scores. No info as to ranking (USA, AP, Coaches, power rating), the conference the team is in, conference tourney match-ups, no bracketology, no conference power rating, no player roster & player status (active, injured, suspended, arrested, dismissed), home vs. away win-loss, line chart showing team ranking across the season (was team ranked #1 at start of season and across time dropped to #15?). For supposedly living in the age of information, all this shows is scores (and for some reason the betting line). This product comes real close to what used to be referred to as shovelware: just throw something out there to make it look like we’re working hard when we’re just collecting a paycheck and benefits. And I don’t really blame the grunts but some managers and their bosses heads should get chopped PUBLICLY as a warning to other managerial types just sliding by. Steve Jobs would be ashamed (and Tim Cook should be) that this was put out by Apple.

Conference standings do not make sense. When you open a matchup and look at the matchup odds and details, below you see standings. Instead of seeing the overall standings of both teams within their respective conference (both could be within conference), you see the standings of every team under the same conference type. For example, under Charlotte/Memphis matchup, you see the standings of every single western conference rather than the two teams in the matchup you are viewing. American conference has a west and east division. And instead of showing both or even the overall standings across the conference l, I am seeing the western division standings of every conference.

Ok, but odd and no NFL. Great to have a sports app that just gives you scores and game information, without larding it with ads and videos, which make most sports apps terrible. But the design of this app is quite odd. You have to pick your leagues rather than there being a menu and you just tap a league and see what happened that day. Then, the scores from the leagues that you have selected are jumbled together. It’s as though a software engineer who was not a sports fan designed the app: in someways clever, and aesthetically pleasing, but not all that useful to a sports fan who wants to browse and see scores organized by league. Not sure that I will use the app very much. Of course, the big dog, the NFL, is not included for reasons we can only imagine — fees. Finally, the betting odds are ugly and should be off by default until toggled on.

Good idea, still slightly limited. I was very excited when I heard about this app. I love the simplicity of it and how it shows the information up front without bogging things down and making it hard to find what I am looking for. I am not sure if this app will offer live activities or play by play abilities within. However, it is still limited with the number of teams available to follow. I know things such as the NFL isn’t available yet, but I wish it had even more teams (or leagues) such as the Champions League or US Men’s Soccer Team etc.

Why?. I rarely if ever write a review but this app seems like nothing but an engagement grab. Apple debuts a new sports app, of course I’ll check it out! Although it offers no value add whatsoever. Maybe if you’re into the sports they have contacts with with the MLS it would, but for the others, it’s just basic box scores and annoying alerts you probably already get from ESPN. ESPN isn’t perfect but at least they have news articles and post game features. This seems like purely an effort to get data on users, and is not what I expect from a Apple as a company. Some half-baked at best app with no purpose to get data. I deleted it and then am still stuck with the alerts. So have to redownload and delete my teams from it to stop it. How did a room full of people decide this was worth it? Wild.

This app is what I was hoping for from Apple.. If there’s one thing that I love about about Apple, is they care about aesthetics. I was looking forward to Apple creating their very own sports app. I knew it would be aesthetically pleasing with minimal clutter (which I’m a sucker for). This is like the beginning stages of the “Maps” app. It doesn’t quite hit the mark right off the bat, but it’s a start. There is a ton more that needs to be improved, as when the app is open some of my other apps crash; no live playback; no NFL/College football or baseball (yet) which is why I have it only at 3 stars. Another reviewer mentioned it, but it’s a great start to the app, and has endless possibilities and can’t wait to ditch ESPN’s cluttered app and this be my main domain.

Many missing features. I like the design but this app misses many features, leagues and teams. - Canadian Football League - Canadian Premier League - CONCACAF Champions Cup - UEFA Champions League and etc

Great Start.. The app is very nicely laid out but since it is new; there are a few leagues that are noticeably absent: CFL, PGA, PWHL, NLL. Looking forward to those additions.

Notifications. I love the simplicity of this app, it’s great for a quick view of my favorite teams. However it would be nice to have notifications for updated scores, who scored and trade alerts etc. basically anything for your favorite teams.

PWHL Womens’ Hockey. Not included - missing out on a huge segment of the market, especially given PWHL season & single-game tickets are sold out through 2025-26. Downloaded only to follow pro womens’ soccer & hockey. Will prob delete

Very much a work in progress. Limited available leagues. Clunky UI to switch to different league. Doesn’t show spring training MLB scores or details like other apps. Assume like Apple Maps it’ll improve overtime, but a very underwhelming first impression.

Needs more leagues. Missing several good leagues. The NLL and the CFL make this a big fail for me.

Okay, but missing major sports. The following leagues are not available: CFL (no excuse this is established league), PWHL (last year was inaugural season, but again no excuse not to cover starting this season) or NSL (coming 2025, to stay with the times this should be covered).

Incomplete. App is extremely basic and seems like an afterthought. No notifications, no widget, no swiping gestures to change days…

Terrible app. It looks like this app is curated by someone who doesn’t know anything about world football. Apart from top 4-5 European football leagues, it doesn’t track anything else. It doesn’t even have Champions League, FA Cup or Europa. In fact, it doesn’t even have ongoing Euros. Doesn’t have calendar selector to see matches for a particular date. UI is drab. Seems like it was designed by a student for his graduation project.

Sports. Missing the CFL. Add it in asap please. 🧐

CFL World Soccer all seem to be missing. Why is the CFL not listed or Euro and other world soccer competitions.

Not Bad but …. Like the app. Have been watching NHL playoffs. Like that the app shows scores in real time. But, and it is a big but… where are the CFL football teams. The world is not just American football!!!

Solid Foundation. There is a solid foundation for great sports app here but there are a lot of key features missing. Things like more detailed views of leagues and standings, more supported leagues, and domestic + European cups for football competitions. Critically, Apple will also need to implement live activities to set this app apart from the rest.

Missing EUAFA Europeans championships. Missing regular league & championships and the CFL YOU GUYS ARE REALLY LACKING

Dynamic Island.. This app would be amazing if it’s compatible with Dynamic Island. It’s not. It’s just proof that the Dynamic Island is just a fancy name for notch. Useless.

A good start. Great app that’s missing a few key features, mainly - live updates - smoother animations - more leagues are needed (CFL, Euro 2024 for example)

This app is missing so much. I want one place for everything that is nicely integrated, but this is missing racing, CFL, tournaments etc. It needs to really get everything in there before I consider using it.

Best sports app but have two suggestions. Please add support for both the UFC and CFL, also, please add support for live activities :)

CFL is still missing… 😤. Half way through season. Where is CFL? Now the latest update brings NFL. But where’s the CFL?

No CFL. why no cfl?

iPad & CFL. There should be an iPad version and the CFL (Canadian Football League) teams should be available! Live updates for teams I follow

Good. Really good app. But needs to add more options and more sports. P by P is kinda delayed. But overall best sports app for nba and mlb. Hope nfl tracking to be good too.

Missing football in Canada. Very disappointed that it does not have the CFL.

Missing many sports!!. The app is missing almost all Canadian sports teams. Also missing soccer teams. You should cross-reference with the Apple News app on what sports to have on here. Right now, there's a whole lot of nothing useful!

No live updates? Seriously Apple. How could Apple not support live updates on their own sports app? What the?

Great idea from Apple!. Love this app, but it would be great if you could see the games for more than just yesterday like all the games since the season started or at least maybe till the last games

Doubleheaders MLB. should be easy enough, but Apple prob pulling from Google; that is in beta, forever. I prefer this simple app, but hope it improves the basics.

No widgets, no tennis, missing so many features. Get on with it devs

Add more sports. The app seems pretty good hut I am more of a cricket and snooker fan and I would love to se the info about those sports. Is there an expected date for adding more sports in there??

Il manque des ligues. Il manque des ligues et des sports au Canada comme la LCF, la LPHF, La LECB, la CPL et les ligues de hockey AHL, ECHL et CHL.

Not a sports app replacement. App is desperately missing notifications, live activities, and goal/scoring summaries. I’ll stick with Sports Alerts for now.

Missing a league. They haven’t added the CFL so I can’t see the tiger cats

CFL is still missing. Update: It’s June 6, 2024. The CFL season has officially started, and it’s still missing from this app even though it’s in Apple News. Do we have to wait until next season? Original review below: My understanding is that my favourite leagues and teams sync from Apple News, which has the CFL (Canadian Football League) and its teams, but it’s not syncing over to here.

No CFL Canadian Football League. It’s missing my favourite CFL teams.

Missing many features. It's missing a lot of features. Line ups for football (Soccer) like the formation 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 something like that National teams, Champions League,Europa League and many other competitions are missing in football Notification alert …

Pretty Good but missing a few things. I agree that it needs live activities and notifications but I mainly follow mlb so the Apple TV app gives me live actives, and if on occasion I’m following a different sport like hockey, the Google app works for live activities in a pinch. What it’s really missing is the ability to see previous games past just yesterday. For example you can see all upcoming games for the next 1-2 weeks, however the previous tab only shows yesterdays game. I don’t remember what happened in previous games and it would be nice to see the scores from the last 2 weeks.

Z. Hi

Needs lots of work. Although it’s new, it’s missing a lot of features. - Line ups for football (soccer) - National teams, Champions League and many other competitions are missing in football - Football teams are shown the same as NBA or NFL, in football they don’t use W-D-L stats, only on standings table - Notification alerts - Turning of betting odds

Missing league. Add CFL football league and teams before beginning season!!! And add live game on Lock Screen your late about that!!!

Missing something. This app is missing CFL (Canadian Football League). I want to see how the Montreal Alouettes are doing. Also not all Italian soccer teams are listed such as Bari.

No widget ???!. Common @Apple no widget ??! Seriously ????

App feels unfinished. Please add live notification and Dynamic Island support.

A consolidated sports app.. It’s great with the following note. Add CHL, AHL and college hockey leagues

CFL is missing!. Agree that there is important leagues and teams missing.

Why no Dynamic Island support. This could be a great app if they supported their own Dynamic Island that they are pushing for in third parties but don’t do it in their own app?

Virtually pointless. Not only missing major sports leagues, really weak content, just scores and schedule. Anyone who follows sports already has an app that is better. I’m sure it will improve, but I do t know why they released it with so little to offer. Lost all my leagues and favourite teams! Really can’t get much worse.

Needs CFL!. Missing CFL teams.

Great but missing something. Great app! If I could add few things, it would be the lineups of teams, and notification system that allows you to know when you favourite teams are playing ( about an 1 before). Add those and it’s a 5 star for me!

CFL missing. I’m more interested in the Canadian Football League and NHL (which is in the app). Would really like to see the CFL in the app. Would be awesome if Formula 1 (F1) and UFC was in the app. Those three would complete the app for me. 5 stars if had at least CFL.

Very limiting. Things this shouldn’t have: betting odds. Things missing: WTA, ATP, the Euro, Tour de France. We can seen priorities aren’t sport.

Nice start - but limited. This is a very clean and easy to follow schedule for the teams and leagues allowed. Apple and Apple TV have invested incredibly in MLS soccer the last two years, with mostly good results. I love that I can easily see what MLS games are being played today. What I don’t love is that there is no following of MLS teams outside of the league schedule, such as the CONCACAF Champions League. Also noticed that I cannot follow MLB spring training. What about other divisions of US Soccer such as the USL. I do like that this is schedules only, I don’t have to wade through news stories. I see a lot of promise in this.

Stick With ESPN…For Now. I can’t say that this app is ready for launch. First off, you shouldn’t HAVE to pick leagues or teams. Just display the most popular games for the day. If you want to pick leagues/teams, then show those. The fact that you have to pick specific college conferences is not a good route to go either. Give us the AP25 or the whole NCAA. Lastly, I know it’s out of season, but why in the world is there no American football on there? NFL and College is non existent. That should be a priority from here! I would take this off and do a complete redesign. This is not ready at all.

Could use more useful information and tools. All through the design is beautiful it does lack what FotMob offers like details on Players and their career and information about where you can watch the game and what place and to look in the future games to know what too expect from your favorite teams as well as team info about their winnings and matches and players but I know this app was just made their will always be room for improvements.

No notifications?. Good start. Where’s the notifications? I have most other apps notifications turned off (social media, news, etc.). The ONE app that I actually want notifications turned on is my sports score app. And yet, a wise person at Apple made the decision to not include notifications for a sports score app?! Apple obviously doesn’t understand the sports fan. Get with it Apple, this is like Apple Maps rollout. By the time you fix it, people would have lost faith and moved on. You have a year to get nfl, so I’ll hold off on mentioning that until then.

Bare bones but promising. First off the UI is wonderful. Typical Apple quality. There are other positives with the app but I want to offer some improvements. 1. As a college sports fan, Id love to see the AP rankings of top 25 teams integrated. 2. Id also like to sort college teams by Division 1 as Id like to see all the division one teams in one place. 3. There are so many more leagues to add. The Championship in English football for example. Also racing leagues and how about esports like the Call of Duty League? 4. Id also like each team to have a team page. If like to be able to see past and future games, league statistical rankings etc. These are what I can think of off the top of my head. Im excited to use the app as it improves.

Also add more leagues and push notifications and widgets and … OMG Edit3: no European Soccer tournament? No Copa America? What are you doing Apple? Nearly infinite resources, no direction. Edit4: the most recent update (June 17, 2024) wiped out all of my favorite leagues and teams. Hahahahaha. Such a trash effort from the fruit team.

Great for iPhone, needs a Watch equivalent. This is a nice simple app for when I just want to see scores quickly and easily without navigating the video and junk that comes with league or network apps. That said, I would like an Apple Watch equivalent where I could see all the scores just the same. Some apps just give me scores on my favorites, but come NBA and NHL playoff time, I’m interested in all the scores. Same for the NFL - I want all the scores every week, regular season and playoffs.

Hopeful. The app is great for providing current scores for games happening today or tomorrow. But it stops there. There is not a way to look at your favorite teams upcoming schedule or view stats for players. Another nice feature would be to have news available. For example, it is April and I would like to see what’s going on in the NFL or with the Colts. It simply says “NFL returns next season” and has nothing else to see. There is potential here and I hope Apple continues to support it.

What’s the point of this app when Apple News Sports already exists???. Seriously, why did Apple make this basic, stale, empty app, when the sports section of Apple News already functions perfectly AND integrates perfectly with Apple TV WHICH ACTUALLY GIVES (LIVE) NOTIFICATIONS. Not to mention Apple News Sports covers more than just season games, I like this app. I could go on and on with what Apple Sports is missing but use it for a minute and you’ll see quite immediately. Also pretty buggy and is designed pretty badly. Expect much more from Apple.

Clean experience, needs more features. I’ve been looking for a sports app that isn’t full of ads and bloat and this definitely fits the bill. Pleasant aesthetics and following my most important games is easy. However, I need a few more features in order for it to be my sole sports app. Examples: need to be able to see a team’s full schedule, seasons stats for players, and where games are streaming. I hope you all keep building this app out!!

Clean and Simple. This provides exactly what I desire to monitor sports scores and related information. Easy to access what I want without clutter. Setting up favorite teams was simple. Not all leagues are present yet but I’d imagine those would be added as those seasons start. I’ve used other apps in the past which have been decent but I think this is already my favorite.

Very basic. Scores and stats of individual games only.. The app is very basic. It only shows the teams that are either scheduled to play next or have already played. It has play by play data, box scores and other stats but no info past that. You can seem to select a team and go to a page of info just about the team. So if I wanted to find out who played on a particular team and their stats, I can’t or it’s incredibly difficult to figure out. I’m sure as time goes on it’ll get better. Right now there’s no reason to use it over any other major sports app.

So far so good. Honestly love it but I kinda wish it was just a bit… more! Hoping that Apple does something like buy Sirius radio or start a competitor satellite radio. Something that will work with Apple Car Play that will allow me to listen to Primer League live with the app while I am on a road trip. Would have to be a bit more than your average cell data plan as there are dead zones. Maybe expanded partnership with T-Mobile and Space X?

Where’s the notifications option?. We need notifications for alerts and more features. Also if we can see past yesterday for previous games. It would be cool to add the apps on how you can watch these games on specific sports just like on Apple TV shows you where you can watch certain movies. Overall good app it just needs some improvements.

Concept good, long ways to go.. The sports App is great concept with a sleek design and user-friendly interface. However, it lacks several key features. Need to see coverage for Formula 1 racing and other major leagues and sports. The addition of widgets for quick access to live scores and upcoming events, as well as real-time notifications for updates and alerts, is essential. I also see potential for live activities and a better integration with Apple TV. While promising, the app requires these enhancements to fully meet the needs of sports fans.

Good access to information during a game. Used this app last night while watching the flyers game. It had a lot of information and stats during the game. The user interface is nice and information is displayed well. One feature that would be nice is team statistics. If you select a team it shows their upcoming and past games as well as standings but it would be nice to see overall team statistics for the season.

Lack of Place to Report Bugs. Neither within the app, or within the App Store does there appear to be a way to contact the developer to report a bug. So, unfortunately, I am left to write a public review, when all I really want to do is tell the developer that the app is missing this week’s game of one of the teams I follow (an NWSL team). It would also be great if the app covered more leagues, including more international soccer/football leagues, but at the very least I expect the app to accurately list games for leagues (like the NWSL) that it does purport to cover. Until then, it cannot be considered a go-to place for sports scores.

Ok but needs more. The app works fine for what it is, but if Apple is looking to take market space from the ESPN app or other sport score aggregate apps then they need to dramatically expand the amount of sports/leagues/teams available to follow. I don’t live in state that has AAA professional teams, but we do have a slew minor league sports and keeping up with them is important to me. I can do that on competitor apps, but not this one. Correct this oversight and I’ll improve the rating and try the app again.

Great for fast scores. Simple, fast, detailed. No clutter, no adds, no tracking. Two asks that many many have commented on. 1. Show the network carrying the game right on the score summary card. Not everyone subscribes to everything nor do they watch everything on their phone. 2. CFL anyone? I realize it takes infrastructure to support the speed and accuracy that Apple achieves here. They are the fastest and most accurate. But please add this to the list?

Very well designed and easy to use but lacks functionality of other popular sports apps.. Classic apple in that it’s amazingly well designed and the information is presented clearly. The downside is it’s lacking a lot of details about the games, stats etc provided by other apps. Try it, if you’re just trying to keep up with your teams score and some basic information it works great. If you’re someone who keeps up with the details of deals your teams are making and detailed stats stick with the regular ESPN and yahoo.

Good Start. In many ways this is a good start for a sports app., but certainly still bare bones. Once you have it set up it provides simple lists of your teams match dates and times. It does however need improvements. Building out the teams and leagues could be easier. It’s a little counterintuitive. Some of the leagues and teams are not available. I do not know why this is. Also, no dedicated iPad app. Other native Apple apps also have corresponding dedicated iPad apps. It would be nice if the Sports app did as well. I look forward to future improvements.

Missing So Many Features That Make It Useless. Apple Sports app is a huge disappointment for me as a sports fan. Here are some of the issues I have with this app: - It has a very limited selection of sports and leagues, For instance, there is no coverage of hockey, basketball, baseball, or MMA. Even for soccer, it only has the major leagues from Europe and North America, and nothing from the rest of the world, not even champions league. - It lacks any depth or detail about the sports, players, and teams that it covers. No history, achievements, records, and backgrounds. I also want to see the latest news and rumors about the transfer market, the injuries, the suspensions, and the controversies. In summary, I think Apple Sports app is a terrible app for sports fans at the moment. It does not offer anything that I cannot get from other apps or websites that are better and more complete. I do not recommend this app to anyone who loves sports. I give it one star out of five, and I hope Apple will fix it. Not sure why they release it so incomplete.

Hire me!. While the app’s design looks amazing and very simple, it’s still lacking a lot. I rarely ever leave a review on apps, but I feel so passionate about football ( soccer ) and Apple. Firstly, a lot of major tournaments aren’t even added to the app, most notably the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. Statistics, player profiles.. I understand that this is 1.0 version, but come on these things should have been added from the get go. The app is clearly targeting football enthusiasts, it will not succeed unless the whole philosophy changes. You guys need to hire someone who breathes football (soccer ) to assist vision and future of the application. Good luck. Looking forward to the future updates.

It’s solid but could use more features and an extra league.. Well let me be honest this indeed does look great. It’s nicely designed where it’s easy to find the leagues, teams, schedules, and games. Though I would maybe like that it included video highlights from a specific play during a game that makes it look exciting or more intense, too could maybe add like the pregame and postgame interviews. Though a missing league that I can’t find is the NFL, wouldn’t it be better if this was added too?

Not ready for prime time. This isn’t a bad idea, other sports apps lack the live features that iPhone supports. This seems like this is a beta product. There is no widget, which seem like a glaring omission. The way the menu works, having to select favorite leagues and favorite teams and not just seeing it all together is odd. Not filling the screen with other information leaves a lot of empty space. Limited number of leagues and sports is disappointing. Has potential to be great but needs a lot of work.

Please add UEAFA champions league and articles. It’s a good app overall however if you guys want to compete with ESPN and CBS sports, you need to generate articles about the games, or maybe a daily sports letter that could be about all events that day or personalized to your favorites teams/ leagues. Also please add the UEAFA Champions League and have the 2024 Euros and the 2026 World Cup. I love the way the app is made but it would become my primary sports app if said things are added.

Could be better…could be worse. It definitely achieves the “simple” description listed in the App Store. It has a ton of potential, especially the clean and quick interface but doesn’t really have the features that would make it the “go to” app against established sports apps. Not having a “news” tab isn’t the end of the world. It’s actually refreshing to not see a Bronny James headline or some other random clickbait topic pop up at every corner of the app. But come on, nothing is clickable when it comes to stats for players or teams??

Needs some upgrades for soccer leagues but what it does have works great.. Does not show formation lineups. Even the yahoo sports app has that. Would also be great to see the calendar further out than just the previous day, current day, and next match day. The season schedules are out well before the seasons even start. Last I don’t see the option to add European tournament competitions to my leagues, only the domestic leagues. The Champions League and Europa are a basic requirement. I’m hoping this isn’t an issue when the Euro comes around this summer.

Needs features. I like it but I don’t like it nagging me about this or that sporting event starting…. I can’t find a way to manage ( turn off) notifications from the app. Not every one is a super sports fan. Tell it to be quiet. Local network channel/network listings would be nice. UPDATE: I am looking at an annoying baseball score at the top of my screen that I did not ask for. Couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so I deleted the app and rebooted the phone. Guess what, the score is still there. WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU THINKING APPLE? I LIKE SPORTS BUT IT DOES NOT OCCUPY EVERY WAKING MINUTE OF MY DAY! GET THIS TRASH OFF OF MY PHONE! I PAID WAY TOO MUCH FOR THIS PHONE TO HAVE APPLE TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO SEE AND WHEN. TAKE IT DOWN!!!! If I don’t have control, don’t offer it to me.

Great idea! Weak start. Was so excited to see this app. I am always very frustrated with the other sports apps. However, this app is ridiculously limited. The most glaring omission is that no TV information is provided for games. That is the biggest thing I need from a Sports app, what time is the game and how can I watch it. The display of conference standings is great but I do not understand why you can’t click other teams in the standings to get more information. Also, statistics from an individual game are shown clearly and well but there is no way to look at season averages or totals. For anyone that is even casually interested in sports this app will not provide a fraction of what they’re looking for.

Missing key features. The app looks nice but the information isn’t laid out in a intuitive way. When you first click on a game the league standings are on the first screen of information rather than details about the game. Why isn’t a summary who scored the goals for an NHL game included in the first screen (or at all) for example. If you hide the betting odds then there isn’t any game specific information prior to the game given other than a tiny date, time and location box at the very bottom. There is also no widget or notification option making this one of the least useful sports apps available.

Buggy. Tried using the app during the first MLS weekend this season and encountered a number of bugs. The biggest bug being that all the games in progress disappeared while they were at halftime. I tried checking the other scores while at DC United’s game when we hit halftime at around 8:40 PM EST. All the other games that were in progress and at halftime (the games that started at 7:30 PM EST) had completely vanished from the app including the New England/DC game I was attending. The games reappeared when their clocks started ticking again in the second half. App needs lots of work.

Great app, but underwhelming for apple. I love how minimal this app feels, however for apple it feels super underwhelming. This really come from the lack of a live activities feature. There are several other sports apps that have the ability to keep your favorite teams score on the Dynamic Island or pinned to the Home Screen, so why is it absent here? This would be passable for a smaller dev but apple makes the kit for developers to integrate these features so how are they missing a core feature like that. I have no doubt they’ll add it later but until then I don’t know how much I will really be using this app.

Potential.... I like most of the app layout. The game day information schedule is a little bit overlapping on my iPhone 11. I like having the standings underneath the game statistics. It's a simple yet useful feature. Only gripe I have is MLB spring training games start today and the app shows no games scheduled for the next 7 days. You can buy a ticket and it's on TV. It's a game. It should be listed. Love it's simplicity and functionality without a lot of unnecessary bloat.

So no live activity?. I am not sure what the point of this app is if there is no live activity for a game. I have my favorite college team set up. I open the app and was looking to set up live activities. But apparently this doesn’t do that. if it does, I have no idea how to get it started. If all this is is a scoreboard for your favorite teams, then I can get that through theScore or Sports Alerts. And Sports Alerts will allow you to set up a live activity on your phone. So I’m hoping somebody can explain what’s going on with this.

Good content, but some accessibility issues. I like the ability to look at all my available leagues scores in one view. However, as a voiceover user, it’s impossible to access the dismiss button when viewing game details after you’ve started swiping through the statistics. I literally have to completely close the app to get back to the main list of scores. Additionally, for games in progress, it doesn’t list the timestamp of the game, what quarter they’re in, how much time is left etc. Not sure if that’s an accessibility issue or just a general issue.

Great idea, mild execution. Interface looks great. It’s intuitive. It lacks key features that will prevent you from deleting ESPN or B/R. It basically acts as a scoreboard terminal with nothing else to offer. Apple TV integration is nice but honestly how I would use it for now is - download and sign up, select your favorite teams, hide the app from your Home Screen forget about it. Other than score updates (which all other apps do albeit not as aesthetically pleasing) there is no reason to use this app over competitors.

It’s Basic…and It’s Perfect. Sometimes I just want to see scores and box scores…in and out and that’s what this app gives me. Most other sports apps are news and breakdowns and the scores and stats are buried 3 screens down. I love this app for what it is. I’d like to see Live Activities added but right now it’s great for checking scores and stats quick. Reminds me of opening the USA Today and getting the info I needed. Love it

Potential is there! But still needs a lot of work.. I think well the idea is there and the design is nice, it’s still missing a lot of vital features that make an app like a score tracker important. Things like player ratings, being able to view a teams past games and such, look at individual players etc. It’s also missing quite a few leagues including many women’s soccer leagues. Although I do think the app has a lot of potential, without added features I don’t think it stands a chance against any score tracking app (especially any current football/soccer tracking app).

Needs Features. I am highly interested in being a super user of this app. The overuse of data downloads and size of the app of the competitors make me want to drop them and stick to this one that also takes consideration of my data privacy. BUT, I have to still use the competitors because of lacking features such as following and displaying the AP Top 25 ranked teams for NCAA or showing a widget/live tracker for ongoing or recently finished games. I’ve got my fingers crossed that updates in the near future make me reevaluate this review to five stars.

Good start. Time to build on solid foundation. Huge soccer fan here. The UI for soccer is fantastic! Great interface and I love that I can filter to just see my clubs or I can look across all leagues that I follow. Support for live activities and live standings in the app would be beneficial, but not make or break for me. Now they just need to add support for the rest of the world of soccer. More leagues, domestic cups, and continental competitions. Especially for MLS, there’s currently no good place/app to follow Concacaf Champions Cup or US Open Cup, so adding support for those competitions would really help set this app apart.

Great sports app. I love everything about this app, has everything a sports fan needs. What about player stats for each individual team? That is the only thing missing. Team stats are on the app, no player stats. And I’m not talking about the box scores. It would be great to view each team’s season stats for each player just like the other sports apps do.

Time clock missing for college football on some games?. Just started using the app today. I’m watching a football game and following along with the app to get the hang of it. I haven’t yet found a time clock. Update: just opened to follow along with a later game, the clock was exactly where you would expect. Not sure why it wasn’t there for the first game, but am excited that Apple did a great job.
