Format not great. Often, a notification from WWL regarding breaking news turns into a frustrating experience. After clicking on the notification, one is taken to a page where an ad interrupts the breaking story, snd after the ad plays, it doesn’t return to the story, instead going to a list of other (not breaking) news.

Weather and news. Very professional and friendly service! Great articles, informative and fast! Thank you for your thoughtful messages throughout this major challenge with Covid-19. Please stay safe and wishing you all the best. You’re families as well. 👍😷💕

WWL. Having moved away, I realized WWL 4 was the best Louisiana stations to listen to the news. This is one of the most professional and iconic stations around, The staff who present the news are professional and make you feel like you are being informed. They are the best.

Keeping up from Sarasota Florida. I’m from New Orleans but currently live Sarasota Florida away from my family. This App gives me great information to stay up to date on what’s going on with Covid-19. It helps ease my worry for them from miles away. It also makes me feel like I’m still at home. 😀

New and Unimproved. New update is horrible! The new traffic map is impossible to read! Doesn’t tell how bad traffic is! Also, the radar is hard to see. Don’t like how it is hard to zoom in. Hopefully they fix it soon or will delete. Added an extra star couple days later after writing original review because they fixed traffic map.

Thank you. I’m a Terrytown owner, now in New York. My brother is living in my home and stayed for Ida. With you being on air with your app. I was able to get information to my brother after cellular service was restore. Would not have been able to help if not for all your dedication to New Orleans for so many years.

Bring back the old app!!. I rely on this news app to be user friendly and flow easily to gather the information I seek. This app does none of that in comparison to the older more intuitive WWL news app we are used to using. The sections you mark as favorites don’t always stayed marked so you have to dig to find what you want to see. I also really liked the design of the old Traffic & Hurricane sections. This new app has ruined the functionality we depended on.

Very good, but still room to improve. Have made many improvements since the beginning. Still have need to improve. The Good Morning and Good Evening seems lame for these times. Just state from the beginning when the information was last updated. PLEASE take a thorough look at the WAFB NEWS SITE. It would be a good learning tool to improve WWL’s. WWL is always our go to station with wonderful, friendly professionals giving us the information we need when we need it. We thank each and everyone who works as a team to put together great news and information out to the public multiple times per day, seven days a week.

Great app to get my weather and news. It is user friendly. I like the weather videos they do every morning and now I’m reading the news articles as well.

New & improved is not improved. Do not like this update. A bunch of issues keep it NOT user friendly. More difficult to maneuver through topics. Less choices on radar. No interactive Hurricane map. After reading story & tapping back arrow, starts at top of all articles again. Makes you constantly have to scroll down to where you were. Not my favorite news app anymore. Bring back the easier & more user friendly version.

Chris Franklin WWL-TV weather. Chris Franklin is the BEST WEATHER MAN OF ALL TIME ..... I am so glad that I finally got to see an hear a weather man who states the facts an gives up to date weather changes WITHOUT ALL OF THE HYPE EMOTIONALLY SPEAKING ...The public is nervous enough without having the weather announcer getting all emotionally in talking about the weather conditions ....Chris Franklin is the Best of ALL Time an I’m in my 70’s Chris states the Facts THANK YOU CHRIS FRANKLIN FOR YOUR REPORTS KEEP UP THE GREAT INFORMATIVE WORK !!!!

Great!!!. WWL Channel 4 is very informative. From the anchor desk to the weather and sports. I love the “on the spot” news all day, every day. Thank you for keeping greater New Orleans informed with stories we fail to see on other local stations. Great Job Y’all!!

Best news. I like the streaming ability to look at older news reports that I missed. It gives notifications faster than other news sources and channels. It’s accurate and fast.

Content. I do like the format of the page. My other comment is more to the stories. I used to be a loyal viewer for years, but I have started watching Fox 8. I found that their news was more balanced, and WWL followed the tone of the National News which is biased. I occasionally view to look for changes.

Sidney Garaudy. I find that the weather information is far superior to WVUE weather, which I used to follow. Chris Franklin gives a more descriptive weather picture for day to day information. Rain predictions are in variable percentages, not in the rounded off predictions of say “20% to 80%”. 11% or 33% are more believable to me. Please feel free to use my review in anyway you choose.

Horrible. Bring back the old app.. I understand the newness of something new but this app and this new update is just horrible. No organization,everything is all over the place just a mess. The radar set up is so hard to fine and very limited. The hurricane section is just not very well set up. This app is not user-friendly at all can’t find anything. There is so much going on that the phone lags on everything. This used to be my favorite weather app my go to every day every couple hours but now I’m gonna have to find something else because I just can’t deal with this cluster of a mess. The old app was perfect. But no everybody always has to mess with something that’s working perfectly. Like they always say if it’s not broken don’t mess with it. Ugh 🤬

WWL The Star of NOLA TV!. Great app with timely updates! I used this during the time I worked in Austin for a few years, because their news didn’t matter! 😂Best broadcasters, and news reports are available! Hail to WWL! P.S. I still miss Nash!

Great update to the app!. I’m really enjoying the app update. It’s wonderful to be able to have your favorites all in one place with a push of the star. I suffer from allergies & I’m really enjoying being able to check the pollen & mold daily. Keep up the great work!

Totally ruined by advertising incompetence. It goes like this: 1. Notification comes in of important live press conference (hurricane, Covid, etc.); 2. Click and app opens up, showing a second of the video; then 3. An ad interrupts it for 30-sec, causing you to miss important info that they just urgently alerted you about. It’s horrible. Other media orgs have figured out how to balance ads and content, but WWL is clueless. Used to be the best news station locally, but it never did adapt to the digital age.

Awesomeness. I’m thankful for The WWL-TV app. It’s my go to for NEWS and especially traffic. I’ve been using this app since been. It’s awesome. The TRAFFIC link is always spot on and it even works for travel. The breaking news notifications are excellent. I’m a BIG FAN of the app and the Channel 4 News group. Your News Anchors and Reporters have the best relationships and always seem to have a good time. Love 💕 Love 💕 Love 💕

Profits over People. Aside from the bugs, which appear frequently but are forgivable, my main qualm is with the decision to run ads (sometimes longer than the videos they precede) on videos of other people’s suffering. There is no reason anyone needs to endure an ad on a video about a murdered teacher. It’s tasteless and any stakeholders reading this should know better. Downloaded this app for the hurricane coverage but can’t support any app that so blatantly profits off others’ misery. Do better people.

Most professional team. Best brief, direct fact based headlines. Best delivery of story. Best investigative reports. Best health news. Best sports of all kinds local and national. Great camaraderie among staff that shows. Great to give credit to other stations when due. Great partnerships with other stations, news sources, etc. Smart to bring back in Thaun Truong. Miss Mike Hoss. Wish him well.

Years of broadcast excellence!. As a kid in the late 40’s I thought that 50,000 watts of clear channel power was really cool. Now in my late 80’s I still think WWL is one of the best. No matter how far away I moved, at night WWL rolled in clear as ever.

Informative coverage. Thibodaux is our hometown but we now live in North Carolina. You have provided us with numerous updates during our constant panic about our loved ones , especially since we had no outlet for communication. Job well done

Best station on air WWL is Real New Orleans .. I’ve bn watch ing WWL since I was old enough too see tv my parents believed in the station not only because Phil Johnson was our neighbor but because they believed in the people that was bringing the news too u back then it was don westbrook Al duck worth , and when my wife came down with leukemia bill capo was there to get her story out to try to find a bone marrow donor well my wife didn’t make it but the people that showed up to give blood and be tested without WWL we would have never been able to help others with the blood drive and testing so thanks WWL for being a Part of my family 😀

Someone should be reprimanded!. Not sure who they gave the key to the WWL app city to redo their what once was a very good app??? Hummmm, what an epic miss! Before the latest update the information in all categories was very well laid out, intuitive, and much more informative especially if you look at the new portion for weather. Thank you for reminding us that for some reason all good things must come to an end. The great thing is now I get to practice app delete for the first time in a long time. To put it in to perspective think of it like this. You have a great reliable vehicle that you and everybody likes but you just have to get something “better” and on purpose you go as fast as you can and smash it into the largest object you see. You then get out, somehow, and say everybody is going to like this so much better.

The Locals. This is and has been since I first moved in the New Orleans area 45 years ago my as they say my “Go to Station ! “ And now I enjoy looking at all the friendly news casters on my laptop. Always keeping up with the latest news happening!

Good App, painfully too many Ads. The app and news reporting have been good and I am enjoying it. But the sheer number of ads to watch to do anything in the app are almost unbearable. And not just watch a few seconds and skip the ads, no it’s a whole 30secs for everything you do. It’s extremely bad. Please consider altering the amount of ads. Otherwise, it is a good news app.

Worst I have ever had. You get a notification that they are giving a live report. You click on the notification and it brings you to the page but you can’t hear anything. You press the screen and they send you to a 30 second commercial message. You want to hear the news flash that is going on but you have to wait through this commercial. App is the worst news app I have ever seen. Deleted app today. Don’t bother.

Steve’s review. Your app is very informative and is my go to news app. I’ve been a loyal WWL viewer all my adult life. And I’m 70! One question. Occasionally I’ll tap the app and it will load and load but never come on so I have to delete the app and reinstall. Anybody else have this problem? While your people are terrific, I miss Angela!

The worst grammar of any news outlet. Now I hate to leave a negative review because they just feel gross, but I’d like to challenge any one of you to find one (1) news article by whomever is in charge of the WWL news app that is not littered with grammatical errors. This is a company whose very profession is print journalism and they do not possess basic grammar skills we should’ve all learned in middle school. After years of following WWL, I suspect it’s time to find a different news outlet who takes a little more pride in their work.

Love but wish for something. I love the morning news, but am a late sleeper. When I could afford cable, I loved channel 15 to see the replay around 9:00. I love the app to get a replay of the recent news. My problem is at 9:00 all I can get is Good Morning New Orleans. Can you add a choice?

App updated and has become a white screen. I am traveling in Europe and enjoyed following the news at home while away, but with the latest update, the app opens to a blank white page. I also cannot pull up the site on a browser— permission denied. Do you have a problem with New Orleanians keeping up with the news while out of town? I guess I will try your competitors.

I Like the Change. Change, Change, Change Like all things new, it takes time to adjust to change. I love the three new categories (home, weather, & watch). It is now easier to navigate & it simplifies the search. I am excited about all the Saints news coverage. The pictures are vivid & beautiful. Someone really did their homework on this one. NewsTeam. I’ve watched channel 4 For 20 years no it’s is a news program. I am impressed by the quality and CARE they give to the stories The only thing I would say is on Fridays they give Alford Richards a little more time to do his segment

Great news and weather channel!. Always receive the most recent and timely updates on the latest news and weather as it happens to keep us safe!

App reviews. Like new app. Wish it had a traffic button at the bottom like weather. I use the traffic feature everyday since I commute from LaPlace to downtown. I’m sure I’m not alone & ppm would appreciate being able to see traffic map quickly rather than scroll through the home page to get there. For me, the time it takes to find the map could mean the diff between whether I take another route or I’m an hour late.

Mr & Ms Austin. We watch channel 4 all the time , only thing wrong we live on the north shore it is very hard to watch when you get no signal almost every day, we have to change to streaming to get it all the time , because we get no signal all the time on regular tv, we have go to streaming almost 98 percent of the time .

Only news show I watch!. News is thorough, on point, and professionally packaged. It’s so obvious that all the news casters personalities mix well. It comes through in both morning and evening shows. Love the investigative reporting, sad that it’s so much needed. But happy we have a great team with WWL-TV. Kiddos to the reporters and camera men and women in the field, they’re fantastic!!

4WWL. I just love 4WWL. I moved back to my home in 2018, following Katrina. The 13 years I lived in MS, I had 4WWL on my phone and was made aware of everything going on in NOLA. 4WWL leaves no stone unturned, they cover everything, and I just love the live broadcast, they are always on the scene. ❤️

News coverage good but lousy site. I have always liked WWL’s coverage. However this site is cumbersome. Whenever you return to the news headlines from an article you have to start all over with the headline options. There’s also repetition of the headlines. I wish WWL would revamp this awkward site.

WWL TV like a reliable extend family member. I am 55 years old and I grew up on watching WWL TV. That station is my family’s first go to. I love their family oriented spirit. They make things lighter in these hard times and like some family the have love, argue, help, eat together, feel the pain,, but keep things real. So sugar coat. That’s the news I want and need to hear.

The Best News Source. WWL (now WWL Louisiana) has been my go to news source for over 40 years. It’s been such a joy to invite your news teams into my home. You continually bring the best and most relevant, factual, inspiring and fun stories to our viewing area. It’s been an awesome adventure following all of the awe- inspiring people that makes up your WWL families. I feel as though I know them personally. I watch daily with much love and admiration. What were you thinking. This is an upgrade??? This is horrible! You miss part of interview so I go to the app & lookup Krewe of Kings and what does it give me?? Way back to 2019 for crying out loud, who gives a fig about 2019! Was trying to find out where to park & when to leave, absolutely no help here. And up to date weather & what’s happened over night apparently app is resting because everything is -(2)-(3) days ago. Think WWL needs to check their app not good at all anymore, so very disappointed 😞

WWL for out of towners. We live in Oregon but the whole family lives in New Orleans so I like to know what is going on right away - ty for the great app WWL is really on top of things better then CNN or any news outlet- I get WWL telling me first on my phone! Love to you and all you in New Orleans- I am in a National Forest and 3 miles from my home is a large fire right now. I am on level 1 evacuation- who knows this may push me to my hometown of New Orleans with family.

Great way to keep up. WWL has an updated app that is quick & to the point with headlines from the GNO area & beyond. As always, their coverage of the news is comprehensive and timely. I enjoy getting notifications throughout the day on breaking news. Keep up the great work WWL!

Informative articles and videos. Summaries that are at the right length. During power outage, after Hurricane Ida, we were able to get bits of relevant news while trying to conserve phone batteries. Small comfort during a tough time, but comfort nevertheless

WWL TV News. It’s good for local news but yall are real late with national news. I have to go on Twitter for breaking news and national news.

Most trusted hurricane coverage.. WWL sets the standard for hurricane coverage and trust. It started as far back as Nash Roberts. Keep up the great work and keep us safe.

WWLTV Application. Extremely poor application. Tried to watch the recent debate. Never could find it in its entirety. What I did find was single questions that mostly were incomplete. General can’t find most content except sports which seems to be the default content.

Love it. I love channel 4 for news but please Spellcheck your stories! Also please proof them so that correct grammar is used!!!

New is not always better!. I used to use the WWL app to keep me updated on local news; however, this new WWL app is not user friendly at all. It drains the battery, clicks on items when I’m just scrolling and wastes time having to back up and reload the previous page. Then once the page reloads you are forced to watch the add again and wastes time yet again. Just watched a video that had nothing to do with the title listed another waste of time. Timing is important to the reason I used the app in the first place. Looks like I will need to check out apps for other news outlets.

Love the station hate the app. The app is garbage. All the actual content has disappeared. I have to go to the website to see everything from National, local, and weather. The app provides maybe 10 stories and most are just headlines with no content. The previous app was way better. I’ll be delete this one. They should be ashamed to promote this junk.

Love WWL. My “go to “ app to keep up with the weather. Best weather map displays to see in coming weather.

Traffic Section No Longer Works. This app was so not ready to be rolled out when the old app was retired. There have been a few gradual improvements. However, the traffic map and traffic updates no longer work. It’s going in the wrong direction.

Awful. Downloaded it last week now there are no headlines and the app keeps telling me to download it which I already did. Definitely needs some major work!

Battery Drainer. The only issue I used to have was the amount of ads. Now...it KILLS your battery. I only used the app for 6 minutes and there’s 8 1/2 hours of background activity that tanked the battery even after turning off background app refresh. Also, what do you need running in the background that long? Deleted the app after having it for years.

WWLTVFAN. Absolutely favorite news cast. Always up with the latest that is going on. Although I live in Lafourche Parish, our local news is always covered along with Orleans, Jefferson, etc. #1newsteam #WWLTVCH4

What the hell?. I understand there’s a process to getting used to something new. But the old app’s tiles (while is was frustrating that they moved of their own accord) made it easy to find things. This is all scroll, scroll, scroll. The letters are all small, too, with no way to adjust them. I could at least use a drop-down menu to to straight to the area I’m interested in.

Mobile cam terrific. The new mobile cam that drives through neighborhoods is fantastic. Nothing better than eyes on the ground in real time!

Enjoying WWL-TV. The best station in town. It never freezes up when watching a show.

Randallfishlaw. The old app was much more user friendly. Scanning the various sites required less browse time because you had more information available on your initial page. Headline news, weather, including radar, and sports were all accessible at first glance and required much less navigating. I would prefer reverting to the original format.

Review. Would very much prefer this app if I could get it without commercials. Each time I click on the app I miss 30 plus seconds of the report which at times was important.

For the wwltv app. I like everything about the new app it took me a little while to catch on I still don’t know anything about it yet

Timely Updates. Perfect for local news updates

Keeping my Louisiana Connection. Love this app and the updates. I live in another state now but my family is in Louisiana and Ms and it keeps me updated on my home state.

From 4 stars to 1. The new UI/UX is absolutely terrible with this new version. There is no way to meaningfully navigate your way through different sections of news. Too many graphics and ads in poorly designed interface lends to the confusion. Roll back to previous version. I’ll be uninstalling this app until your developers improve this app with the user in mind first.

WWL-TV. I absolutely love the WWL-TV app to keep up with my local news and weather. Very user friendly and easy to use.

Harder to use. Harder to navigate for quick updates. Still haven’t found the national or international news. Needs considerable tweaking.

Best Weather Station. The weather forecast are the most accurate. Love all the extras like Verify, the Medical Report, and investigative reporting.

Regressive improvement. The title is an oxymoron and so is your new look app. It is not better than the previous version. There is no organization, no easy way to navigate, no traffic map, no sections, and worst of all, after reading a story you return to the top of the page instead of where you left off. It’s frustrating to the point that I will use Fox 8 now as my main local news app. See ya!

Videos. Everyone that is giving this app 5* must not watch videos. They often don’t play. They start and get immediately interrupted by an ad and then don’t start up again. But that ad always plays - no hitch in that giddy up.

Too many adds. Add prior to each video is very inconvenient. Also, type of add space being sold needs to be changed up

Cannot watch channel 4 cause all we have is att. Miss the news and other shows on channel 4

Opinion. I get more out of reading the material instead of listening to it. So in my opinion, this app is the best thing since sliced bread.
