Purchase not recognized. The subscription is through Apple but will not be recognized in the app. I’ve tried numerous variations to troubleshoot, including contacting both Apple and the app developer. The app developer gave up and did not look into this deeper, despite me pointing out there are numerous people in the reviews experiencing the same issue. I am extremely disappointed in this app.

Meh. I like some of the layouts but my favorite collection from Ashley Robertson (sp?) has been removed. When I contacted customer service about this the guy said, “Oh yeah, that was a limited collection but you can find some of those templates still by browsing through the categories tab.” This takes a significant amount more time which makes it not worth it for me. I have three kids so I’m looking for efficiency. And I noticed some of the templates from that collection are gone. Only a few remain. It would be one thing if we could favorite some that we use more often, but that isn’t even an available feature. Also, why can’t we change the coloring on some of the templates? Some of the layouts are cute but the coloring doesn’t match my brand. Stick to StoryLuxe, friends!

App has serious glitches !. It won’t let me export any of my templates to any platform even Planoly. I can’t add text, I can only modify the text that is in the template if there are any. I can’t do anything but make a pretty story that’s half done but no one can ever see it because the app refuses to let me export or use any of my templates.

Great options. I love that the possibilities are endless for creating content that is more current and eye catching.

Glitchy. I have been using this for a while, but lately I keep getting error messages that won’t let me export to Instagram. Everything is updated, cleared out, still the same message.

Paying For Pro With No Access To Pro. Apparently I’ve been paying for the Pro version of this app for years without knowing bc when I’m using the app and try to use the pro templates it doesn’t allow me to use them. Today I decided to just purchase the pro version bc I’m bored with the current templates. I paid for the year and have no access to the Pro templates it just prompts me to the purchase page again. When I investigate further and to report the issue I see I’ve actually been paying for it for years and haven’t had access to the pro content the entire time. Cool.

I love Stories Edit. I’m often using the app as a fashion blogger. The templates are chic and fit my aesthetic. I would l love to have the ability for my creations to stay in the app, currently you’re only able to save and once you start on another project everything else disappears, you have to start all over. I appreciate there being a minimum amount of editing options, it doesn’t get too busy.

Great but limited. I love this app and how it links to Planoly. But I would like there’s to be more options for manly designs. The current ones are nice, but not many are my style.

You should use it.. I like the app. You can do things they say you can and show in preview but not too many free fonts… any other typical money hungry app.

Has Potential but Bugs are Persistent. I received a trial use of the app through my website hosting platform. The trial came with a set of templates to match my website theme. So I was really looking forward to cohesive Story templates that match my brand. The templates are great but I’m experiencing two persistent bugs. 1. half the time that I export my designs to my device or Instagram, a text box or the entire image is missing. 2. Only 15 seconds of video will export. Whereas IG stories AND competitor apps will automatically cut the entire video into 15 seconds segments (for free). For this reason I’m going to move back to using Unfold app.

Lost Most Worth After Dropping Browser Option. Was amazing using Stories Edit on my browser with much faster and easier access to my whole library of images. Editing text on mobile app is extremely frustrating since you cannot see the text you are editing if it is on the lower portion of the screen (hidden by the keyboard as you’re typing). Only using now until I find an option that is available for browser/iOS on MacBook.

Needs some improvement but looks promising. I like a lot of the layout options - I wish there were a few more options for multiple photos. I would also like the ability to change the color of all the elements on the layout. Right now it seems I can only change the background, which often leaves the other elements the original color and not coordinated. Font options are nice and I like that I have a wide variety of colors to to choose from. Looking forward to more updates to make this really user friendly.

Nothing will load. So I used this app for about week and was trying to get the hang of it. But I opened it today and nothing will load. I keep getting an error message that says “failed to load collection. Please try again.” But nothing happens when you hit retry. This is annoying and I cant use the app.

THEY MAKE SOCIAL SIMPLE. Love love love Stories Edit! I use this a few times a week to share new blog content and can easily create graphics for any announcements. The customizable templates are so fun and I always get compliments when I use them. Would recommend for small biz who doesn’t have a ton of time to create graphics.

Won’t Restore Purchase. The app is good for what you are able to use but I have purchased the yearly subscription and yet every time I try and use the pro version it says I haven’t subscribed. I have clicked restore purchase and I have even canceled and resubscribed and yet it still says I am not on the pro version.

Unable to load. Every time I go to open the app I get a “failed to load gallery” message. There is no content for me to use or manipulate. Absolutely nothing. Just the three tabs at the top but nothing under any of the tabs. I even started a subscription to see if that helped but nothing. Waste.

Horrible support. I paid for this subscription last year- I haven’t been able to use it all. The app keep saying I need to buy the subscription , tries to reach out to the support - no response !

The concept is great but too many bugs. I love the options you can choose, but I’ve already encountered quite a few bugs that make the app almost unusable. For one, I was able to upload photos when I originally logged on. But now it doesn’t allow me to upload any new ones so I’m stuck with the original 3 options I posted which doesn’t help much past this point.

I Really Want to Like This. But unfortunately it’s just super buggy and unreliable. I spent the past hour trying to get a story together and it just keeps freezing every time I try to add the photos. Plus the fact that I think elements of the interface (changing colors, adding and repositioning text) are just cumbersome. It’s a really good idea and I really hope that this app gets up to speed because I’m a Planoly user but for right now it’s just been very very frustrating.

NOT ALLOWING SUBSCRIPTION TO PRO ACCESS. I’ve been trying to subscribe for weeks now with no luck. I’ve tried the monthly and yearly subscription but neither are working. I’ve deleted and reinstalled app, reset phone, and tried restoring purchase multiple times. This should literally be the most fluent part of the app. Please fix if you expect anyone to actually pay money for this.

Should be able to edit colors.. So excited to try this and the templates are beautiful. Unfortunately, it seems to only let you change the color of the background, so the taupes and browns of shapes are stuck. Also, it seems laggy when you try to add/enter text. Gorgeous, but not customizable enough for me yet.

Great app to get organized but hard to navigate. The app is great but it’s a little difficult to navigate. Still haven’t figured out how to easily get to the calendar of schedules post without going to a new story post.

I want to love it but am struggling. I read the comments and 100% agree with them, I love the fonts, the layout options, everything; however, the app itself seems to be so slow!! It’s hard to do anything it takes so long and I feel like it’s buggy. I really hope it gets an update soon fixing these bugs and making it a bit easier to use because I truly want to use it!! I use Planoly and I got to say I had high hopes for this app :/ its great to play with and great for some ideas but unless you’re willing to invest a lot of time into a few slides, you may just want to find another app 🤷🏽‍♀️

Love designing with StoriesEdit!. I’ve really enjoyed using StoriesEdit to design simple, quick graphics to use for my side hustle business that I promote on Instagram. The designs are always beautiful and I love that I can resize them to fit my grid, too!

If you can’t edit the colors, what is even the point?. This app is not for people who aren’t fans of nude colors. You can’t edit any of the elements colors and you’re just better off downloading a competitor’s app for the most basic of customization instead

It’s pretty but.... I wanted to like this app because I am a Planoly app user but upon first use I already noticed a couple flaws: 1. I still can’t change the colors of patterns & thick lines in existing templates even with recent update. Only able to change colors of background/square frames which can not match with colors of existing patterns. 2. Would be great if we are able to attach videos to the templates. Hope to get updates to above (at least point 1.) soon!

Limited Customization Options. I love the concept of the app. The layouts are eye catching and appealing. BUT if your branding or color scheme does not include pinks and browns then you are out of luck. You can change the color of SOME of the background elements but not all of them. It’s really annoying.

Not able to click on my photos to add them. It opens my albums but I’m not able to click on any photos to add them. Hope this is just a glitch that will be easily fixed. Also hope to be able to change colors of more than just the background or change the text of the words that are already there ( I like the font on some of the templates).

Video lengths. App is good just need to update the videos inserted into the layouts to be able to play LONGER than 15-seconds. IG now allows stories up to 60 seconds long. Any vid I insert into a layout gets cut at 15 seconds. Please kindly update, thanks!

Great!. Easy to use and I’m always happy with the look. I wishes they refreshed with more templates more often or added more fonts in the free version

Cute but... This app is adorable, reminds me of unfold except you can’t put videos in! That’s what I downloaded it for, so I’ll probably just use it for photos and keep paying for unfold. Also can’t figure out how to change the colors of some elements

App doesn’t recognize paid users. I have reached out to the developers about this issue and have received no response. I was paying monthly for this app and it worked just fine up until December. The app did not recognize that I had a paid plan and prevented me access to the pro plan features even after clicking “restore purchase” I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling, updating my phone, even cancelling and renewing for a brand new subscription. I still have no access to the pro plan. If the developers will continue to steal people’s money without fixing the problem this app needs to be removed from the App Store.

Would pay for the pro but.... I wanted to love this so bad but have constant glitches with the app. It randomly freezes which forces me to close and reopen the app. Not up to speed yet but hopefully that will change?

Rip off. No customer care, links to webinars and tutorials are bogus and broken. Total rip off. I want a refund. I am so sick of apps like this where you pay and then you have to do all the work yourself, deceptive. I will look for something better where I can actually speak to a real person who can guide me. That will be money worth spending. Apps will be gone in the future due to no human interaction.

Lots of options for a free app. This has the most free options out of all the story apps I’ve tried. Lots of cute patterns and templates and ways to customize. Excited to see what else is to come.

New User. I just uploaded this app on Saturday. I created two stories but couldn’t upload/save them to my Planoly account. This was the only reason I got the app in the first place. I’m going to give this another chance, but I’m not impressed so far.

Thank you! Amazing edits. I love the layouts, ability to edit colors, elements and fonts. I like that I can type in my color selection as well. An improvement idea would be the ability to animate the slide. Thanks!

Has potential. Needs so much work though.. I LOVE the templates and fonts/colors that come with the app but the functionality and user interface is horrible. I want to be able to rotate objects..have the option to build stories from a blank page...and have basic design functions. Needs a lot of work in the functionality department..

Extremely Challenging to Use. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because some of the layouts I like to use. Just don’t try to change any colors, move things, type or try to select anything from the menu... it won’t do anything or you’ll create a huge mess because the app itself is not very intuitive or pick up touch up. Definitely wouldn’t pay for pro. Not worth it.

Not worth the $$$. Even with the free editing it is so difficult to use and glitchy. It’s not intuitive or user friendly for mobile editing. Also, I made some drafts and saved them to a folder which has disappeared. There is no easy way to navigate to your folders. Very disappointed.

Hard to edit and some things are locked.. Can’t edit half of the images. The words are set and it won’t allow you to change the current text. Such a bummer. It’s also confusing and not user friendly. Was hopeful this would be a great addition but it’s creating more of a headache. I’ll stick with canva.

Templates are great but too many bugs. The templates are great and easy to edit but I’ve run into constant issues making it not worth using. From saving or uploading images to Instagram or even just to my phone, nothing seems to work.

Really wanna love it but I don’t. This app has so much potential but utterly fails in functionality. It takes WAY too long to do anything on the app because it’s difficult to change colors and add elements. Also what’s the point of me being able to add my own color codes if there’s no way for me to save them? Then I have to manually add it each time and there isn’t even a copy and paste. After wasting 30 minutes trying to change the color of a border on this app I’m sad to say I’m over it. Hope it improves soon.

Needs work. In general I love this app but there are quite a few bugs that unfortunately don’t seem to have been resolved with this most recent update. Almost everytime I save something I’ve made to my phone or even send over to Planoly to schedule, the image comes out with some type of glitch. Whether a sticker I added is missing. The font is incorrect or the picture I added is completely blank. Also it’s too difficult to tap certain elements in some templates to change the colors. Please please please work on these things because I truly love this app and see how much potential it has.

Good app but.... Among all the IG story apps, this one provides the most elegant free templates. But there are so many bugs. Now it doesn't work at all. The main page shows ” response could not be serialized, input data was nil or zeno length.” refresh won't help at all. What a pity.

Upload. I’m extremely disappointed I purchased the year subscription and it does not work! I keep receiving an error that my stories can not be exported to my phone or any of my social media platforms it doesn’t even explain why! Just says “error it cannot be exported please try again” I’ve tried multiple times. It’s extremely frustrating to waste time creating stories to not be able to upload. I really regret wasting $20 on this app definitely threw my money away here.

Cannot access my Pro templates. Hi. I have tried every day for the past month to access my pro templates. It shows that I have already paid for a year of pro. However, it gives me an error message every time and won’t let me access the template. There’s no place on the app for support or help for this question. So the only place I can find to leave. This is on the review. Please let me know what is wrong. I have also deleted the app and reinstalled it, which did not help either. Help!

I paid, can't access pro features, no one is helping me. I paid 3 time for this app. And I am absolutely unable to access any of the pro features that I paid for. I deleted the app, reinstalled it, several time. I reached out to customer support several time. And no one, no one at Planoly was contacting me back. I was so desperate that I contacted their social media. Finally, somebody got back to me and said "oh sorry you have bought this app on the Apple store so you have to contact Apple for this issue. We cannot do anything on our end. " And then guess what if I try to contact Apple about it, they say "here is the contact for the app support at Planoly." So it's basically nobody's fault. I paid, I cannot access anything. And no one is helping me out. It's an absolute rip off.

Cant save or post story images. Nice concept but there is a major issues, even with paid subscription, there is errors in every save i try, to images, to planoly, to Instagram... nothing works

Ok but not enough option. It’s not bad and if you want a simple way to make your stories look nicer then this works. However I wish it was more customisable and easier to use. Small things would greatly improve the app like being about to change the angle of text instead of it only being horizontal, being able to change the opacity of shapes, greater sticker and shape options, the ability to add extra photos etc.... okay but not amazing

Terrible. This app was way better when you could do it on the desktop - which they’ve now stopped for some reason. Super clunky so many things you can’t change and you often can’t find the template you’ve been working with just days after. Use CANVA so much better than these guys

The Free Trial was great, now that I paid app not working. I’m frustrated and annoyed that the app won’t load the design templates. I even deleted and reinstalled the app and still nothing but Failed to Load error message. If this issue is not resolved within a timely manner I just want a refund. Thanks

Pretty useless for established brands. Or those who have consistent brand colours, fonts, etc. Better to go with Canva (mobile/web) or PicMonkey (web).

Le sigh.. A good try, but I expected a lot more. The typefaces are lacking, colors can’t be fully customized, and it’s just kind of an Unfold ripoff. Keep pushing, Planoly team; it’s a good start, but I know you can do better!

will there be more highlight covers?. this app is everything! except one thing: there are barely any highlight covers. and the ones that are there are pretty repetitive: shoes and glasses are pretty much the same thing right? would love to see more in terms of that

Good start. Love that this will integrate with Planoly, but needs more exciting, simple backgrounds that we can add text, sticker, etc too. Not just images.

Trial for a week. Edit 05/22/2020 Ugh! My trial ended today. Unfortunately, I forgot to cancel the subscription and it automatically switched me to the yearly subscription. I don’t mind paying it because It’s only $20 for the whole year, but I tried using it again today to give it another shot and it’s so frustrating! I seriously feel it’s not even worth that money. I tried editing a text caption and you can’t even see the area that you’re editing, it’s being covered by the edit option screen that slides up. Seriously whoever is handling this app needs to either fix all these bugs or just close this app because it’s so bad that you guys are charging for something that doesn’t even work. I’ve purchased many apps and this by far is the only one that I am unhappy with my purchase. Too bad you can’t leave 0 star. My yearly subscription started today, but I already canceled my subscription for next year. Too bad I can’t get my money back, total waste. ——————————————————————— I signed up for the one week trial and so far I am finding that the capabilities to edit is very limited. Like I want to edit the colors of one layout to match my pink and black theme. I was able to change the background color to pink, but the border around the picture won’t let me change it so it stayed as beige. Although all the collections are designed well, it won’t work for me as I won’t be able to use them on my page as they won’t match my theme. I also tried adding a round shape and it won’t let me resize it. There were also some designs with “@storiesedit” or “@planoly” on them although I don’t mind using them, but I want to have the ability to remove them. I’ve tried other apps that you can design stories from scratch and this is what I was expecting from this app, but I’m not getting and it’s pretty disappointing.
