Easy to use. Easy to use and easy to categorize business vs personal. I can put a note on what the business purpose was. Have been using for a little over a year and will continue. Tried several apps this one worked best and runs in the background.

Attention Developers. I love that there’s a free mileage tracker now. One small request though? The app keeps trying to force me to categorize trips (in detail beyond personal/business). It’s an extra effort I don’t need. I’ll give 5 stars if this change is made.

Great app and perfect for tracking mileage!. Thanks for creating a simple to use app that just works. Great to have reminders instantly so you can take care of categorizing instantly.

Worth trying out. First off I’m sick and tired of people wanting everything for free. How are these programmers supposed to support their families with food? It’s not “bait & switch” for goodness sake, it’s “try before you buy.” This app worked great for me I think the other good reviews say it all. You get enough free trips to find out if this is what you need. Honestly five dollars a month is not that big a deal for a great app that will save you on your taxes.

Not sure if I should upgrade..?. I like this app. Love the 40 free drives - almost want to upgrade for some of the perks, however in the free version it will “detect” a new drive multiple times in one trip. If I stop at a stop sign and start again - a “New trip” is detected. So my free 40 drives are used before mid month (it’s only the 10th and my free drives are used up).

Wow. So far I’ve use this app for a few days and is amazing I pray and hope it continues to do great for 2019 I’ve started a new job and I am in my car and use anymore than ever! Please please do not give up on this app it is a must I just hope and pray again that it never fails

Awesome that it’s free, but. It’s free. The tracker doesn’t track when I start driving. It has about a mile lag. So makes this app irreverent in my opinion. I have tried launching the app then driving didn’t pick up for a mile and a half. So you never have an accurate starting point. Poorly executed app. I’d recommend paying for an app that works like MileIQ or quick books self employed.

False advertising. You did not say anything about an in app purchase. All of a sudden I went from unlimited calculations to only 40. Not sure why the deception but don’t do business with people like this. I don’t understand what changed. NO communication at all. WOW what company. I will delete the app. It did not work properly half the time anyway. No regular updates to keep the app stable. I didn’t think you know how to maintain the app. When I have notified you in the past about the app, your response is sarcastic and demeaning. Nile1941

I’m in love. Notifies me after every drive I do to select whether it’s for working or personal it’s always more working than it is personal best app ever!!!!

This is the real deal!. I am ride share driver and I was just about ready to spring $60 annually for a paid service when I ran across this app. This is easy to use and does every thing that I had hoped it would. Another redeeming feature is that it is free.

How is this paid for??. If the developer isn’t collecting money from you then how are they paying for development, ongoing updates, and security? And we are expected to hand over real time location to them at all times? How do we know your not reselling location data? I’m sticking with MileIQ. At least they collect up front.

Great App. Great App to keep track of work mileage, personal mileage and a lot of other places.

Low maintenance. Straightforward app that is pleasantly easier to use and separate business from personal use. It also tracks when walking if you allow it to continue tracking you.

Yes it is simple.. I have been using this app to keep track of the miles I drive Uber and I love it. It’s free and easy to use. There is also a categorize feature that I haven’t gotten into but it’s useful in case I decide to do other things (ie postmates, EasyShift, etc)

Used to be good. I used to really enjoy this app, even though I find it to be a little pricey. Unfortunately, there have been many bugs for the last few months. It often makes me classify trips two or even three different times. Also, a trip will flag as completed while I’m driving 75 mph down the interstate.

Nice that it's free but.... The app drains a ton of my battery as it acts in the background. I don't know how other (paid) milage tracker apps do the same thing but only use 4% of my battery per day rather than 38% of my battery? I use both apps exactly the same, but simple uses almost 10 times more battery in the background.

Misses Trips - Not IRS Ready. Unfortunately, the main purpose of this app is to track mileage automatically and it does so about 80% of the time. The 20% missed logs will take you more time to find and adjust manually, that you are better off just writing them all down old school. Also, when the developer says the app is running in the background, they do not mean it in the terms people are used to. You actually have to have the app open on your phone... yet it may or may not record your trips. Good luck if the IRS audits you and you use this service.

App changed with no notice. Trying to extort money from loyal customers.. I loved this app. You would too. It’s functional, and simple. Here’s the deal. They changed from free to $40 a month with no notice. It’s ok that they wanted to change. The app is worth it. And they were going to be 2/3rds the cost of similar apps. All other mileage apps charge. They should too. However doing it with no notice, and doing it in the middle of the month to panic loyal users and try and extort them for money is wrong. I had a busy driving day, and the tracker stopped tracking because it said I was out of drives. I lost a lot of mileage. I lost a lot of money. When I wrote to the app customer service to tell them how upset I was, here was their response: “Gary, To be honest, if a user who is not willing to pay in the middle of month with the risk of losing trip is the not the user who will pay. --Jianming” Jianming you are wrong. I would have paid. I am paying now. At your largest competitor. Thank you, Good luck. -Gary

Poor customer service. Nobody reply to your questions or concerns even though it says will reply in 3 minutes… Been waiting for several days. I have trouble with my miles tracking and nobody responsible enough care for the customers

Best app for mileage tracking. Simple is simple almost too simple but I found the others unusable and intrusive. I wish I could flip the order of my trips though and start my categories at THE BEGINNING OF THE DAY and NOT work backwards

Icon badge not displayed when turned on in app settings. I really like the app, I think it’s laid out nicely for easy use and accuracy. The only problems I have are the setting for the icon badge is stuck on but badge is not showing on icon home screen icon. It would also be nice to have a simple toggle switch in the app or even in widget allowing you to turn mileage tracker on/off easily.

Very nice. I tried all the mileage tracking apps. This one, in my opinion, is best for Rideshare. Fast and accurate - reports via email are nicely formatted with pdf and another file that can be imported into excel. Thanks

AN EXTREME DISAPPOINTMENT.. This app just became like all the other millions like it. It was initially what I thought a COMPLETELY FREE app with UNLIMITED drives with NO SUBSCRIPTION. Without any warning like an email or a “terms have changed” notification, they have decided to limit you to ONLY 40 DRIVES. It doesn’t even now specify here within the App Store that in app purchases are available. If you track mileage for a job, WHO ONLY DOES 40 DRIVES IN A DAY? Might as well shop somewhere else if you’re going to have to pay for this type of app. Really disappointing. I would rather that this app have ads to keep it free or to pay just a one time purchase to have a an extremely simple version of it. Purely just to track business mileage and be able to send a monthly summary in an email.

Mileage. It has really helped me keep track of everything but it does drain the battery awfully fast that’s why I only gave it four stars

No customer care. Have been waiting for a response for questions for 2 months. Tried to email a yearly summary and have not received now for 2 months. App does not break down information as to report of each car. Multiple cars used but no evidence of that in monthly or annual summary. Tried chat and email and still get no response. This app is a joke.

Great mileage app. Just started using! I took one star off because i saw that it didn’t track one of my trips. Hope it doesn’t happen again ☺️

Poolplayer7. Just started using the app. First time out it did not track all my miles, only captured about half of them. I will keep using for a little while to see how it does.

5 Stars. Best app I have used to track mileage. Works perfect and details are always very accurate I pay for a hardware mileage tracker that is not as accurate and simple as this app

Good. Good app works great. Really needs the ability to save or remember frequent places that you travel would be easier when you go to big places and the gps address is a few blocks off when you park

Love it but..... Absolutely love how simple this app is and how well it tracks my mileage. Love the swiping of business versus personal and being able to categorize my business trips. Seriously a simple yet awesome app. But...... I totally dislike how if I want to give my phone a rest and turn the app off. All my data/ past drives are lost and I start all over again. So dang frustrating! Maybe I’m a dumb dumb and there is a way around that?... Either way this is a sweet and simple app besides that one flaw.

Simple but functional. Great app for simple tracking and easy classification. Just wish you could break it down into weekly info instead of just monthly. Overall great app.

Bait and switch. Been using this app since early 2019 as it worked pretty well and especially it was free. The Devs snuck in an update that now requires $5/month for over 40 drives. NO THANKS! QBO recently launched this feature included with their fees that I pay for booking. I will give the developers some credit (and two stars instead of one) for now holding hostage my drives prior to September. I still think of principle I’d rather eat my October mileage than pay them $5 to unlock my drives this month since they gave no warning to existing customers that basically tested their app until they were ready to charge like the gagillion other mileage apps... 🙄

Doesn't work. It captured my first drive and since then this app has not detected any other drive I have done. Was excited to use this app but now it's useless...

Love this App, but……... App is great and having the ability to send monthly reports in Excel is exactly what I need. Unfortunately, I have not received any responses from Support through chat or email in over a month. Trying to change my email address but there is no way to do it through the app.

Suspended option please. I wish this app has suspended option so we can add to the list and do claim tax return end of the year

Decent but could be better. Please add the ability to 3D Touch on trip end notifications to categorize the trip right within the notification. Everlance has this feature and it makes it much easier to get it done without having to open the app. Lastly, I find that if you have a lot of drives from the months prior to the usage of this app, it’s really inconvenient to add them, like the interface for it sometimes acts like it saves the trips but then when you refresh the page they’re all gone. I had this happen to me after adding over two and a half months worth of trips manually. Otherwise the app does a good job of tracking mileage.

Mile Tracking. Started having issues with another app for this purpose. This one has nice and easy interface and devs fast to respond to questions.

Simple is what is needed. I’ve tried a few other mileage trackers over the years and this one does what it says. Works almost 100% of the time and is priced right. If you don’t need all the bells and whistles and just want one that works look no farther.

The Best So far.!!!!. This app is amazing....if you are a rideshare driver or a person who needs to deduct or track mileages....it doesn’t need to be in the background.

Loving the simplicity. they removed all the superflus and left the essentials, im enjoying the non taxing interface. ive used this one more than any others for these reasons.

Good app, great customer support. Simple is a good, basic, no frills mileage app. And it is free. Can’t beat that, right? A quick note: if you are like me and conserve battery by periodically swiping up on all your apps running in the “background”, think twice about closing Simple. It will NOT auto track if the app is not running. If you’ve ever used QuickBooks Self Employed, you probably got used to — as I have — the app tracking absolutely every trip, no matter what. Simple will not do this. When I inquired as to why, Jianming from customer support said that it technically violates user privacy to track when the app is closed; which I can respect, even if a bit inconvenient for my needs. Lastly, if you do have any issues, contact customer support. They will respond in a timely fashion and they are there to help.

Awesome. This app is the best out there hands down, as a TSS who travels all the time and have to keep track of mileage , this app does it all . I don’t even have to waste time by entering my mileage , I can wait til the end of the night to do so . Give it a try

Help never available.. The app works ok. But if you ever need help the customer service is practically non existent. I’ve been trying to update my email on my account. You would think that would be an easy task. A simple task, if you will. But after sending multiple emails, live chat questions, and even scouring the web to find an actual phone number…I’ve still yet to here back from them. Sad. Because a little customer service goes a long way.

So far so good!. This App seems to be working well. Tracks all my drives and easily lets me separate into business and personal! As I just got started using it, I will have to wait until next tax season to integrate into my return.

Simple but Could be Simpler. I like the app. It makes mileage tracking simple indeed however I wish it had an Apple Watch component so I could swipe the entries on my watch.

Background Activity killing my battery.. The app is great. It tracks my driving and the interface is clean and easy. On its use and function I have no problems. It’s seriously great. My only issue is that it just eats my battery. The battery app lists background activity and closing the app doesn’t help. In fact, I’ve closed it, gotten the pop up notification that it won’t track again until I open it, yet I then go someplace and it has tracked the drive. So it appears to still be running in the background even after closing it. I’m still using it but have bought a battery case as I’m not always able to plug into a charger. So one star off for that.

Seriously?. No iPad/landscape version so pointless

Non existent tech support. I changed my e mail address. Tried several times to get hold of Simple tech support to change my e mail address on the app. No luck at all. Buyer beware

Clunky. Not great for outside USA. It won’t remember frequent addresses when adding manually. Keeps trying to take me to similar addresses in the USA (from Melbourne Australia) have to constantly enter a full address and scroll down through 10-12 similar addresses in the USA to find the Australian address. I even put Australia in the address. As I’m adding the same 8-9 addresses 25-30 times a week it becomes quite frustrating.

Functional Design. The app looks great and I would like to use it. Unable to customize the Milage rate so I won’t be using the app due to this. This is a pretty important feature to have. Not sure how things work in the US but in Canada, businesses can set whatever rate they want.

Simple is exactly what I needed.. As a photographer I wanted something to simply track my miles and be able to get a report out at year end. Works like a charm and is simple. Works better than the paid app I had been using for a couple of years. Does what it’s supposed to without all the fluff that other apps I tried had. And you can’t beat free.

Cumbersome. This app try’s to be too automated and difficult to navigate and use manual odometer readings. Won’t allow me to just input start and finished for one days total mileage. Don’t need to log 10 small trips during my travel. I will not continue with this app!

Not as a great as I thought.. So after using a paid mileage tracker app for a year of business I decided to find a free solution. I found this app. However after only one week of using it, I went back to a paid mileage tracking app. Put simply, I was missing 40% of my trips. Which is unacceptable. My other issues are poor battery life. With this app my phone is almost dead by mid-day. The icing on the cake is you can’t even put your phone in low power mode because it’s accuracy is even worse. Another minor issue is that you have to leave the app open all the time. If your like me and regularly clear up memory and close old running apps, you will accidentally close this one too and miss out on any tracking. As a free app, maybe these caveats are to be expected but I’ll let you make that decision.

Poor Service. I have requested reports from this app and have yet to receive them. I have tried contacting them on 4 separate occasions and yet to get a response. DO NOT buy/download this app!

Don’t bother. This app is the worst in tracking your trips. Have if them are missed and the other halve do not start nor end where they we’re supposed to! What a waste of money!!!!!

Junk. Just drove back home over 60 miles on a round trip visit and it never started the route back. I want my money back!

Doesn’t work. It was constantly not working and I paid for the yearly membership! I lost a lot of miles and kept trying to reset it. No response from anyone there and lost my money. Don’t get

Not working properly.. Not letting me categorize between personnel and business. Didn’t track from the beginning of the drive correctly.

Trips. Not keeping up with all my trips missed 5 last night doing trips now while my app is off

No Support. I do not recommend this app. I started with the app in early June and on July 8th, my June drives disappeared. I submitted a help ticket and have got zero help. Just a bunch of responses saying what I can do even though it’s all been done. I feel like they are just auto responses that offer no results. So, I’m out hundreds of dollars!

Okay thus far. Great once you figure out how to use the app properly!

Bogus Promotion. This app is bogus. They claim that it’s free and unlimited, until you install it and they then inform you that’s it’s limited to 40 tracked drives per month, and you have to pay $5 per month for unlimited. Deceptive.

I don’t get it!. I don’t find this app that simple... It’s actually kind of complicated and they make finding answers to how to make it work seem like it’s a mystery... Simple should change its name to Simple, not so much!

Bad Trick. Was completely free and then suddenly out of the blue I see a lock that I am over the free amount without warning. When I originally got this app it wasn’t this way. Do not like how they shadily hooked and changed. Many better apps out there if need to pay. I will be discontinuing this shady company.

Not free. They want $5.50 a month if you drive more than 40 trips . I’d rather pay for Netflix

NOT FREE. THIS IS NOT FREE! They said it was free and always would be. Then I go into the app, and it said I have exceeded my maximum free trips (only 40!) and I better pay to unlock the rest of my trips.

Difficult to set up; battery killer. I really wanted to like this app, but struggled getting it to work. Battery life was decimated.

Real Person. I’ve been using this app for a few days now and I have to say it’s really good. Easy to use and it helps me a lot with my Lyft rides.

Latest update changes this app to a freemium model without telling you. A recent update takes away the “free” part of this app. You now have 40 drives per month and after that you need to pay $4.99/month to use the app with unlimited drives/logging or pay a discounted annual fee. The best part about this is that the update didn’t mention it would change this app to a freemium model. If you look at the version history, it’s not mentioned ANYWHERE. The devs aren’t even honest enough to tell us they are changing it until you open the app and see the prompts regarding the new 40 drive limit. I’ve been using this all year and now I either pay monthly or have an incomplete mileage log for the rest of the year. Edit 2: The original developer response has been replaced with a new and much kinder response. While I appreciate the words, the initial move to a premium model was done in the middle of the month without notice in an update to cause panic so everyone upgraded. It’s dishonest. Along with the now deleted original response that was very rude, I have switched to MileIQ now and am not going to switch again. Good luck to SherpaShare and getting rid of the guy who was rudely responding to all negative reviews. But you’ve lost my business. Too little, too late. Edit: Developer is responding rudely to people leaving a negative review. What upsets me is that the new pay model was added without mentioning it anywhere. The update mentioned bug fixes and we got switched to a freemium model without any warning at all. It’s dishonest and that’s what upsets people like me. Seeing the dev respond to our reviews as rudely as he/she is further cements my decision to switch to another app in which honesty and respect are at the forefront of the service. Avoid this dev (SherpaShare) at all costs! Try out MileIQ. They’re honest and worth the money!

Works great most of the time.. Very occasionally it misses a trip. Overall a great free app!

Complicated to use. It won’t allow me to categorize each drive. I think this app is so buggy.

Junk. I was trying to use it to track my golf cart that will go 35mph and could not get it to work.

Poor design. I accidentally put the wrong email address in and I am unable to edit it I want to add my distance myself but I can not with this app !

Ride detection. The ride detection does not work well. Very annoying
