Bad Choice for Content Creators. I write this review as both an artist and professional content creator. If you’re either of these, or if you simply have. A lot of images you want to share, this app is a bad choice. (1) the app occasionally simply fails to recognize an image in the photo library. E.g. you’ve exported 5 images that you want to put into a story, and Made will only recognize 4 of those 5. I recorded a video of this and shared it with support and support didn’t care and did not think this warranted a refund for the subscription. (2) the story creation app only allows you to select photos from the photo library and not from folders. If you’re an artist, a social media manager, or any kind of content creator, or even if you just take a lot of photos, this workflow is simply too tedious. I think the templates on Made are marginally better than the templates on Unfold. However, Unfold is priced comparably, doesn’t fail to recognize images, and allows you to select images from folders, and so it’s the better option.

Glitchy. Really liked this app but it started glitching a lot recently which is a bummer because I paid for it. Issues with text not showing up that I typed or not being able to delete the sample text from the template. Really irritating and hard to work with.

Not Good. I just have my iPhone updated and I had this exact app but it was called StoryArt and I pay the lifetime membership of $39. Now the app is not in the app store so I can’t use it. Then I downloaded this one to find out that is exactly the same app same layouts. This is a scam? StoryArt app and this one are the same, are you going to change the app name again? I don’t get it...

I’m disappointed.... I absolutely loved this app! Especially because it gives the opportunity to get the templates for free if you shared to 5 people. BUT Little did I know that that would only buy me a short lived trial. The app advertises itself as free if you share, but then sells you short. Pretty disappointed. Without that issue this would be the best template app out on the App Store.

Better than the rest. Way more interesting templates, and an abundance of editing options.

Original. This is the best collage app I’ve come across in a long time! The finished products are so beautiful 😍😍

Super ugly water mark on every template. I used to really like using this app. Any time someone asked I always told them to use made. In the latest update, they went and added “made on made” water mark in all the templates. We pay to use this app and they still put a watermark on every template. It’s not small it’s huge and ugly

Instagram Post Size Templates. I’d much rather prefer a pay per template ($1.99) than an annual subscription. (Example: Unfold) Please make Instagram post templates versus only Instagram stories size. I’d rather put time into beautiful posts that are going to last on my feed versus stories that will disappear after 24 hours.

Greedy. I hate when i find a good app that isn’t just in it for the money for it then to turn into a money grab. I despise capitalism for this very reason bc this app was free, as in all the templates were free and it didn’t have the logo watermark front and center. Now it’s just like every other app.

Was dope until it became a subscription. I was using Made and loving it until I opened the app and was unable to use any of the templates without starting a “free trial”. Just about every app is moving towards this model and I’m over it. Instagram isn’t my job, there’s no reason for me to pay for something that I typically spend 30 seconds using. Bye!

Color Won’t Work. This app was working really well for a few weeks and now all of a sudden I can no longer change the color of the text which is very annoying. I need consistency and that effects my business. Please fix this or I have to find a different app. My phone and apps are all up to date. So it’s on y’all.

Help??. I accidentally made a purchase today to use all the features and I wanted to know how do I cancel it before it charges my credit card??

Why can’t I use premium when I’m paying for it. Why isn’t the app letting me use the premium features when I am paying for it. It says restore purchase but y’all been charging my account every month…… I have the 4.99 monthly what’s the difference between then the 20, 30, and 40 dollar one?

Perfect for Instagram Influencers ♥️. I have been using made for the last week and It’s made a huge difference in my followings engagement. I have also gained almost 2,000 new followers.

Cool design, not super user friendly. Love the different layouts however when editing the text it’s super difficult. There’s glitches, you can’t see your actual text when typing, select just a word to edit/correct, and fixing small mistakes is hard. If they’d fix some of the editing tools it be much better.

Weird parts of this don’t work. I’d really like this but there is something really broken with the way you edit typed text. Its frustrating enough that I stop using it out of frustration. I’m hoping they fix this bug so that this can be a pretty decent app.

Downloaded on a whim, love it.. I take ~okay~ pics for Instagram, nothing super curated or professional, but I wanted to make a nice Highlights reel for a recent trip. This really helped curate and elevate my photos to a new level!

Fix the App. When you cannot save the work you made without chunks of text being somehow omitted from the final design, the app becomes useless and annoying. Fix the issues with exporting designs so that ALL of the work is actually saved.

“Made” Review. it’s great, wish more “collages” were free but overall my favorite🖤 photo app for vision boards or creative photo backgrounds

Could use some improvements. Hello, I’ve only had this for all of two days, and the fact that some templates you cannot full customize is somewhat frustrating. I suppose long gone are the days of fully customizing your own content. While I appreciate the time the developers have taken with keeping up with current social trends, and making beautiful templates. The fact still remains that it is for the mindless creator. Only interested in using other people’s works instead of creating something of their own. I think the definition template should be customizable. I don’t want to use the 5 terms you have listed, I want to bring awareness to the other thousands of words that are in the dictionary.

Please Do Better, Still A Long Way To Go. I downloaded the Made app and was excited about using it until I came across so many dysfunctions I was incredibly disappointed and stopped using the app altogether and will be cancelling my subscription. Here are my major issues with the app, and I’m sure that I’ll find more if I have the patience to use it again: 1) The MADE watermark on some of the templates is just too much. Make it smaller please. It really effects the quality of the story page. 2) It is IMPOSSIBLE to type and update captions!!! When I click to update a caption the area gets really dark and I can’t even see the words I’m typing. Then I make typos and when I go to fix them, the cursor jumps to the end of the paragraph over and over again, not allowing me to edit. It is SO ANNOYING, I honestly haven’t used your templates because of this. I get incredibly frustrated and close your app and use another one. 3) It’s impossible to make the text box bigger or smaller. We need to be able to change the size of the text box. As it is right now, we can’t make it bigger or smaller to fit our formatting needs. Another reason I shut down your app and use another one. Honestly makes me wonder if you all did any user testing at all?! Because surely they would have said something about these things!!

Getting worse - Find something else. I was in the middle of using some of the filters to create my stories and they were free. There was a lag so I decided to update. When I opened the app all of the templates that were free, were no longer free and only available with premium. Made is an absolute JOKE. Not only that but because the templates that I was using were no longer free. My story area where they should be saved were all gone. The free templates they now have available are crap.

Remove branding!. I like this app, it’s probably the only one that meshes the best with my companies feed.... but I really cannot stand the branding plastered all over the templates. I could have put my own company logo and name there. I don’t mind paying to remove the branding but I really don’t think that’s an option... I wouldn’t mind having the subscription! The unfortunate part is that I’m still going to use the templates but photoshop/replicate the branding out, it’s just more time consuming. I’d rather pay!

This app is a rip off. I decided to give this app a try and forgot to cancel the free trial before I got charge for 20 dollar subscription, for $20 dollars a year this app lacks a lot of functions. There’s such a limited amount of templates and they ones they have there’s very minimal editing you can do to them besides adding your photo adding a text and changing your background color! Most of the templates come with background which limits the amount of color you are able to add to the background. I think for 20 dollars the least they can do is let you design your own templates or at least let you change the text in some of the pre-existing template with the word/ “made” logos on them. Extremely disappointed in this app would not recommend !!

Would be great but lacking critical feature. This app seems like it would be fantastic. I love the designs. However, when I go to select photos, it starts with my oldest (so circa 2012?) and does not allow me to select an album, jump to a different point in time or anything. I don’t want to layout photos from that long ago, and this makes it just too hard to use the app at all.

Amazing. This app is my absolute favorite way to create eye-catching graphics for my social media marketing. I’ve tried many others and this is my top choice, with out a doubt. Very easy to navigate, great add on options, and runs seamlessly! 10/10 would recommend

Too many bugs, watermarks. What’s the point in getting the premium version if I’m still stuck with “made” watermarks on a majority of the templates. I’ll be asking for a refund as I literally got zero upgrades from my free account. No additional templates were unlocked after I made the purchase either.

Best Collage App. Hands down, the most versatile collage app I’ve ever used. Would say this is the best one within the App Store.

collage options. They need to let you include videos in their collages, because right now that is not a option.

Amazing. This app allows me to expand my creativity in creating a photo that exemplifies how I imagine it in my head, not many apps can do that

Made is Well-Made. I really like this app and hope they will allow people like me to offer feedback which will take it further and help them compete with other, well known Story-Apps. I see great potential and would love to talk with whoever it is with creativity input because they obviously think outside the box. One feature that is not available in any story app is the ability to time movement and the problem is Screen changes that don’t allow time to read them. I have lots of creative ideas, but no programming skill, so I hope we can exchange ideas. Made is currently a great app, but it can leap to the top.

Great templates, bad save quality.. I have the paid version of this app, and while I love the templates, large selection of backgrounds and font options, I’ve been having a lot of freezing lately, glitches where my template doesn’t save after I save it (and have to completely recreate it). Aside from that, I have noticed that the save quality isn’t very good. When I upload my saved page, the colors are muted and not as vibrant (especially with text), and slightly blurry/softened instead of how crisp they appear in-app. I looked in the settings to see if there was an option for the image quality at which a page is saved and found nothing. This probably bothers me the most and I’m considering whether I’ll want to renew at this point since I want clear, crisp stories.

Glitching after I just subscribed. I really like the variety of the app and the different styles of stories you can make! Except, I was really disappointed and upset when I bought the paid version and right after that it started glitching. When I would write out something on one of the templates and went to save it, it only showed half of what I wrote! It would leave out like the most important part of what I wanted to say. I tried using a different template, closing the app and starting over, and I even tuned my phone off and on again. If they could fix this problem, I would definitely use the app because I really like what is offered on the paid version.

Frozen and glitchy. I really love the templates and other options and was excited to use this! However, there seem to be so many glitches. Twice I deleted my project and couldn’t find an option to undo my work. It completely froze and I couldn’t get back in. I really wanted this app to work and am disappointed it didn’t.

SMH... Awesome app but everytime I try to save anything I create it freezes and doesn’t allow me to save.. Which makes this app pretty pointless cuz I want to be able to use what I create not just stare at it in the app.. “Error saving” “Unable to save” very annoying.

Best backgrounds. Everything I want an editing app that’s free to be Amazing!! Downloaded not really expecting it to be much but was very surprise to the variety of things to choose from. Definitely makes all my pictures more exciting plus you can upload the photo straight to Instagram from the app!!

No option to cancel subscription. The app seems to be poorly made. Most of the buttons dont work and there is no way to opt out or cancel subscription. Kindly help me cancel my subscription

Obsessed with this app. This makes a “less artsy” person feel creative! The up to date templates help me create and design my own stories with my own photos easily and simply! Love it so much

Recent changes 👎🏾👎🏾. I’ve been using Made for a while more and really enjoyed it until the developers simply removed 80% of the free templates you used to get and now made them part of the subscription. I get the fact everyone wants to make money but why offer something for free for so long and then take it away. If you have new templates that cost, that’s fine. However moving templates that were once free (even if it was just the first two of a set that used to be free) but moving these under the subscription model and forcing folks to pay makes for a bad user experience with the app. I used this app for its variety and the fact they at least offered a decent selection of free templates. Not anymore. And hey I’m just one user out of thousands but I’ll say my piece anyway. New users won’t know the difference but long time users will. Previous app rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Current rating ⭐️⭐️

Don’t waste your time or money. Once you create your story or photo when you click on it to save the whole app closes and you have no access to the work you created. I paid for the premium monthly subscription and the app still has this glitch and the support offered no help. I had to call to tell them I paid for premium even when you click that you’re already premium and paid the app doesn’t recognize this either. So I made my stories and can’t even save or have access to them, waste of time. This app needs all these glitches to be addressed and stop taking people’s money in the meantime.

LIMITED OPTIONS FOR NON PAYERS. I think this app is great . However , there aren’t enough FREE options compared to other quality content creation /photography apps. I don’t want to bother people by sending invites . I may end up deleting 🤷🏾‍♀️ Please consider more FREE options too

Cool templates, terrible user control. There’s not an intuitive “settings” or “user profile” tab which would allow for better control over the purchase tier/ cancellation. It would be nicer if, when adding a text box, the orientation could be adjusted (horizontal to vertical).

Not many free options anymore. I used to really like Made when they had a couple of free templates from each collection. However, they made most of them only available to subscribers now, so as a free user you basically have around 3 collections of templates to choose from, which, given the rest of the choices available, is pretty limited. I’m very disappointed and might have to find a new app if they don’t change things to serve the free users better...

Best template options by far.. I love these story templates!!! It has the trendier variations that most stories templates apps tend to have (film, torn paper, etc.) but it also has some really unique ones (I love the gold frames 🤩) and best of all they’re ALL COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZABLE as you can add your own backgrounds (colors, patterns, and images) and text elements! I’m super excited to see what other template packs they have up their sleeves.

Takes your money. I purchased the year pass to use this app however every time i attempt to use it the app wants me to sign up for a free trial. I spend half of my time trying to restore my purchase so that i can use the templates I already spent good money on. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Skipped Opportunity. Disappointed.. I’m a photographer and a creative enthusiast and I always like to be as creative as I can with sharing because presentation is important to me. This app popped up as a suggestion to me, and I loved the instant black and white, the fun typography that could be use with this app so I downloaded it. I can’t even use this app without being forced into a membership. I HATE forced memberships for anything, and don’t believe that one has to have a membership just to enjoy an app. I can understand if there was a one time purchase of this app or even paying extra to upgrade to a premium version but a forced membership? Nope. Not for me. I’ll have to remove this app since I can’t use it, and I’m not interested in the free trial either.

I would love this app if.... I would love this app if it was proportioned correctly to fit in the instagram feed. It cuts off the top and bottom so no matter how pretty the design is I can’t use it. Will have to stick to photoshop.

Don’t use unless you want to pay. The app used to clearly mark which frames were free and which required a paid subscription, but now you have to click each frame and see if it’s included. 95% percent of them require that you upgrade and pay monthly. It took me 10 minutes to find a free frame that would work for 3 photos. I’m sure if you’re willing to subscribe then you’ll probably like it, but there are free apps that offer a much better result, and it doesn’t take 10 minutes just to find a frame. I recommend not wasting time like I did. Lol

Will not add videos. I like the app and have paid for subscription. However, whenever I try to create and attach videos they never appear. It’s very frustrating and I wish this glitch was fixed.

Love this app .... But! it becomes extremely glitchy the longer you use it. Reinstall fixes it for a while, but you loose any templates you created which is the whole reason I love it in the first place. If the glitches can’t be fixed, maybe a backup of personal templates that restores when you reinstall is the answer. Doesn’t save me time when I constantly have to start from scratch.

False advertising. They ask you to invite 5 friends to the app and you get a month of premium. I had to send invites twice & nothing

Premium vs Free. I can’t find any free templates, all are premium. It seems as you can only get a template if you buy premium. Templates are nice however there should be free ones.

Great app but doesn’t work 100%. I really use this app a lot but it really works 100% It’s super glitchy and when I try to export and save an image it only works around 50% of the time.

Blurry images!. Should be 0 stars. First it says trial, I clicked purchase and you charged me for a year! Now that I’ve been conned into keeping this, when I share images made from the app, it’s blurry!!!! Rip off and I want a refund!

Can’t upload photos. For some reason it doesn’t find certain images on my phone and I therefore can’t upload those images.

Great design but Limited scope. Great app for creating stories using video. One of the few without too many bugs or issues. The design is great but there are too few templates and very little scope to edit the templates.

Great app until it stops working. I was loving this app until it randomly just refused to work. I would put my photos into a template and it just wouldn’t load and I would be stuck on this same screen for hours.

Great templates. The app gives a variety of templates to chose from. All the templates have themes which is great and it’s so easy to use!

Not consistent. I like the app but every time I add or edit text, the settings change. One day I can alter the size of the text and then the next day I can’t. I was able to have a background for the text that filled the whole text box and now the background is only behind the words themselves.

Premium for inviting friends not working. There was an option to get premium for free if you invited 5 people but once I did I still wasn’t able to use any premium templates.

Keeps crashing when I edit text on Classic II. The app is unusable when I try to edit text and I can’t save anything and have to start over. I’m in Classic II and when I tap to add text it disappears then the whole app crashes. I’m on a 30 day free trial now and can’t even use it Please fix and I’ll update my rating when it’s working but right now I can’t use it. Thanks

Great idea but can’t edit text. Is it a glitch or are you not able to edit the pre-written text such as “Special Value”, “$3.99”, or even the Made template that says “made” numerous times? Seems kinda like a useless app if you can’t

Rip off. I had the free trial and cancelled before 7 days, I’m still getting charged every month by this company. I’ve sent several emails already and no one has contacted me back, just an automated reply. Don’t waste your time and your mine with this app.

Stuck on free trial mode after purchasing premium. Don’t pay for this app. I paid for a year subscription and it never updated to premium options. The email support isn’t very helpful.

Great but 1 flaw. Lots of free templates which is great! However I find it compresses the quality of your image - not significant but enough for me to notice. Especially when compared using same images in other apps with almost identical template, export from both app and you can visibility tell the difference in image quality. Other that than so far I am happy as a free user.

Too much money for the app that is nice but CRASHES. I would of love it (it is well designed and all) but it expect $5 a month (a lot) but crashes constantly. It would of been ok for a beta version, but it is unacceptable for this price.

Free?. There doesn’t seem to be any templates available without Made premium. If there are, then they are impossible to find and this app is incredibly hard to use. If there aren’t, why even make the app free in the first place?

Best templates ever.. I used to use Unfold but I’m definitely switching over to Made, the templates are so much better.

Cancelation option!. I’ve tried to cancel this app several times with no luck. There are only renew options and no cancelation option. I am being charged monthly and I no longer want to be charged.

User friendly. Anyone can take this app and create visual pleasing stories under 5 min. Simple love it.

Thieves. Beware, I purchased this app for less than 15 minutes and attempted to use the free trial which was supposed to last one week, I used it for less than 5 minues and the money was still taken from my account . Do not get scammed like i did.

Cool but buggy. I keep getting stories queued up and then the app freezes not allowing me to do anything and I end up having to quit losing all the work. How do you not auto save drafts if it crashes this often?

I love this app. I love that sharing this app gets you a 30 day free trial instead of having to pay

Great app. Designing is yuck and simple. Very easy to navigate and definitely a good value for what you pay for 👍🏼

Not user friendly. Getting fonts and pics to fit to the page correctly is difficult

Waste of money. Doesn’t work.. I was billed for a premium subscription but the app still says I have a trial and will not let me access any premium features. There is no way to contact support. Huge waste of money.

Invite Friends Scam. Used the Invite friends for Unlocking MADE as mentioned but it was only for a month which wasn’t mentioned prior. Then the trial got over in week’s time! Scam to get email addresses it seems! As an App it is very good but you shouldn’t cheat the user like this.

Amazing. I know the people who worked on this app, and they are amazing! So it makes sense that the app is amazing too.

Terrible!. Downloaded this app and couldn’t get passéd the “ Get Started” page. Lame! I’m deleting immediately and looking for something else.

Total rip-off. This does nothing what it shows in the screenshot! I can do this with free apps without having to pay for anything what a waste of time

Needs an update. Currently crashes every time I try to download a finished photo collage. Hasn’t been updated in a month. In prior months it’s been great. Love it!

Gone downhill. Have been a long time subscriber and just canceled my subscription. Why would I pay to have your dumb watermark all over the templates? Whoever made that decision should NOT be a decision maker in the future.

Lovely!. Nice templates, easy to use. If you need to step up your stories, this is a great place to start (and finish).

It’s just ok. It really didn’t do what I needed it to do, you can only collage 3 photos at a time, but if your only looking to do something like that it’s just what you need

Worst app.. This is the worst app I’ve used for creating anything. It crashes constantly, the templates all have “MADE IN MADE” plastered across them, and it’s extremely buggy. It freezes after adding 1 photo. The templates are tacky and the app is impossible to use.

Not user friendly. I’ve purchased different templates only to not be able to use them anymore. They try to make you purchase new ones instead of the ones you purchased. What happen to all the layouts I bought?

3 stars. Nice templates but doesn’t allow you to express your own creativity. Some things on the template are unchangeable which is annoying. I prefer Canva
