So Good and So Short.. Beautiful story, but dear GOD!! Five dollars for the shortest game of my life. If the storyline was more spaced out and the days were longer to focus on growing the farm, this game would be a 5/5, no problem. But before I knew it, it was night time as soon as I got up.. and everything on my farm was dead, even though the game does give you opportunity to guard it, the opportunities fell through. I understand why the days grew shorter, and yes it added to the storyline, but there is absolutely no being at least somewhat successful in this game. There isn’t any “winning”, which I understand (the storyline is the main focal point, and once again, it's beautiful). Unfortunately at the same time, I’m completely upset I spent this much for such a short game. I loved that I was able to support the artists, in a way they did an amazing job of creating the feeling of wanting more. But I feel in the end I spent way too much money for such an abrupt stop. It was an excellent game, I just wish that it was either a lower price for the amount of gameplay, or a greater amount of gameplay for the higher price.

idk what im doing. i just kind of impulsively bought this game. it is a REALLY good and detailed game but i have no idea what im supposed to be doing. i know i get milk to make cheese and seeds and the letters and the eggs and all that but like.. what iS this game exactly?

Love the game but the control and way too short of days!. I get stuck in the cheese maker barn all the time. She just won’t move! Then I want to drop a bucket to greet the mail guy but can’t sometimes and he goes away even though I’m chasing him like a foot behind! I have two goats but don’t have time to milk both and finish one cheese till the mailman gets there and then it’s like 1 minute till dark. No time to water the crops much less get eggs. Explore? How? I can make one time around the property before the day is 3/4ths over. One trip to the well, water 5 crops plus get some eggs equated to a day. Forget milking the goats of making cheese which is what you trade for. Don’t grow flowers.. waste of my energy. You move at the pace of an old lady and I get she’s the point but I just don’t see how I could ever save anything throughout to make the game seem like I’m getting anywhere. I had 3 shotgun shells and I hit both wolves but in the morning one of my goats was still gone. I just get no where.. oh and where the hell os the phone? It rings.. I look all around and bap at the telephone pole.. nothing for me.

Beautiful game, crashes destroy it.. Beautiful game, however I can’t get past 5 minutes before it crashes. I can’t play the game. I wish I could give a more in depth review, but after spending five dollars I know little more than advertised. This game completely resets at every crash and, without fail, crashes every few minutes. With that said, beautiful idea beautiful game and I hope to be able to play it soon.

Fun but didn’t last. I started playing this game and it’s been fun so far, I like the graphics and it’s simple and cute but it keeps glitching out and turning dark in the morning and then my phone turns off it’s very confusing and I’m not exactly sure what’s going on? Also I don’t like how short the days are and I’m really not sure if there’s a challenge in the game other than just getting food for the goats.

Way too slow, glitchy. I wanted to love this game - and did, despite the slowness - but I feel like at the pace it is, the merchant could be a LITTLE more affordable. I traded over half my stuff for a dumb billy goat only for it to disappear. I shot the wolf so I know it didn’t die. Then the merchant shows up with a billy goat! Some say he stole it! I feel like the game should have a trade off - either expensive, thieving merchant and FASTER or keep the pace and fix the issues. My hands hurt from tapping and waiting. And you can only water 4 crops then have to walk all the way back!!! At least give the merchant a bigger can to give us... then steal back. Sorry but overall it’s just TOO “zen” for me. Lovely minimalist graphics tho and I wanted to see more letters & dreams but it isn’t worth waiting for another goat or some miracle.

Can’t really give a full review. I want to give this game a good review but every time I try to do much with it the game crashes and I have to start all over from the beginning. Watching for an update to fix issues.

Love. I loved this game; it was the perfect combination of a farming simulation and beautifully tragic story. I played on iOS and did not experience the bugs that others describe here.

Good but.... It’s a very charming game and I really like the art style and simplicity of it, but those darn wolves are so annoying! I used many bullets on them and nothing even happened, and that really made me lose my goats fast. Also, a reset progress option would be nice just in case you just want to start over.

Beautiful, Heartfelt, Soothing, and Imaginative. This game had everything I hoped it would have. The world was very imaginative, despite you only experiencing it through letters and books. The graphics were beautiful. The story was warm and sad. The movements and actions are very slow, which at first is frustrating. However, after you play for a bit you adjust to this slower pace and it gives the game a calming effect. Very anti-anxiety. Perfect for a quarantine. The only downside of the game would be a few glitches that the creators are working on fixing. I didn’t encounter these until the end of the game, so they didn’t inhibit my experience much. My basket went missing and my pail was stuck in the fence. The only other downside is how short it is. It was so beautiful and imaginative I didn’t want to stop playing.

Basically unplayable. The app won’t load on my iPhone 10, and completely crashes on my iPad Mini after the title screen. Waste of $5. Will contact Apple for a refund.

Beautiful!. The graphics of this game are absolutely stunning! Beautiful colors, beautiful movements, and a beautiful style. It’s just a little challenging at first to understand as there is no tutorial. Definitely worth the $5 even though it might seem like a lot for an app store game. One thing though is that if you’re me, sometimes you drop an object in the wrong place and it gets stuck in a wall. It doesn’t register so I’ve been stuck having to delete and redownload multiple times. This is kind of annoying, but I haven’t made it far enough for it to really be the end-all-be-all. But I do wish to make it farther into the game than what I have been.

Mostly great game. The game is honestly really great and quite fun. It’s kind of confusing at first though as it doesn’t quite state how to do things like gardening and such. One problem I have though is the wolf’s. While I understand they are there to provide some challenge they become quite annoying. For example I had 9 chickens and in a matter of like 2 in game days I was down to two. It’s honestly really frustrating trying to get the wolf’s to leave. I will use the shotgun yet they will still kill my animals

Beautiful but glitchy. This game is lovely, what with the story and characters. However, it must not be far along in development or something. There are glitches all the way through, and while I paid for this game because I thought it would be peaceful and relaxing, the glitches lead it to be very stressful and frustrating. I am hoping these are fixed in an update very soon. Some glitches include: getting stuck in the “wind”; dropping my basket and not be able to pick it back up (she shakes her head “no”); game not saving after going to sleep, and instead, waking up to some gloomy looking stormy, blotchy, gray scene where I cannot move the character. I am very sad because I truly like this game and am excited for its potential, but having paid for it, I am disappointed that it is not a better quality.

Beautiful but.... I love this game so far even though I have just begun and have not made much progress. The graphics and sounds are outstanding and everything seems to be working just fine for me. I have a question that may or may not add on to my review. How do you trade with the merchant??? Having no tutorial is fine but leaving little hints is ok too. I’m still new to the game and this might not be the place to ask such questions but I think some small hints to help and guide the player would be helpful. I’m playing this on iPad Pro btw 😄

not worth it at all. i got this game because the graphics looked beautiful and i was intrigued by the idea of creating a routine for her virtual farm. the graphics didn’t disappoint but the game itself really did. i understand that it follows a storyline and the farm life isn’t the main focus, but that’s really all that i enjoyed. the letters were pointless and the family members weren’t intriguing. talma would receive an ominous letter yet would continue around daily life- as long as the sunlight would allow. on that, the days are way too short. she moves so slow, it’s hard to finish all the tasks once the days start getting shorter. also, the wolves?? it was so disappointing and frustrating to find my animals dead and not be able to protect them or her. i finished this game in about three hours because i had NOTHING else to do. now i’m playing it through again to see if i can play with a better strategy in mind and maybe get a more gratifying gameplay experience, but i highly doubt it. this game is worth a dollar or two, tops. don’t waste five on it.

Boring. I bought this game several months back when it was first released. It was buggy and crashed in the opening scene. I haven’t thought much about it again until this weekend. I played through twice and have deleted this app. Super boring and pointless game. It has beautiful graphics and would have a lot of potential if it wasn’t for the extremely disappointing ending every time. The story line itself is boring. Zero action, don’t waste your time.

?. It was a beautiful scenic game. But I had no clue what the story line was, what i was surviving for or why it costed so much to just walk around a farm and to be blacked out just because i wasn't inside at night. Way to much money for this.

Minimize then restore and starts over iPad Air. So, the game looks awesome and you could get lost in the story, but in the milk barn, twice, it just minimizes the game, then I restore. The game starts from the beginning. iPad Air 1. Please fix. Thanks

Beautiful but depressing. This game is really beautifully done, but I found it extremely depressing. Perhaps some find comfort in the solitude and quiet routine of it, but I found it a bit creepy, and the letters from family get disturbing and depressing. I dunnoooo, it’s just a sad experience. The only interaction is with a traveling salesman, and those interactions aren’t very interesting. Would be so cool if it had some more story to it...something....

Broken?. The game is slow but interesting to start. However after about 30min of gameplay I have NOTHING to do. You play a farmer and, 30min in some storm/plague came in and killed all plants and there is no water left. I have left the game on in hopes it will pass but even after a long time it hasnt.

Beautiful but buggy. I love this game, it’s gorgeous, I like the story. I love the concept, however there are so many bugs I have reached an unplayable spot in the game. Even quitting the app and re starting leads to the same bugs. Phantom of loves that pile up and then the game lags to the point of not being able to move Talma. If the developers fix the bugs, I would have given this at least 4 stars. 5 if they made Talma move just a *little* bit faster.

Unique storytelling experience, but buggy. On a brand new iPad on the latest iOS I constantly experience control bugs. Stuck in the cheese barn, unable to move all directions walking in the desert, unable to get water, and even some visual issues where items get stuck to me. A reset in the options would remove them, only to see them floating a distance away, following my moves. All that said the content and design is great, albeit slow. Once these issues are resolved they will have a game worth recommending.

Sincere, beautiful, Touching. I loved this so much I immediately played it twice. It’s relaxing to play, has multidimensional characters and deals with nostalgia, grief, innocence, and mortality in purposefully crafted and heartfelt ways. It’s also pretty unnerving at times and gets a little scary! I honestly feel like I’ll have to play it a for a while before I’m satisfied that I’ve seen everything there is to find in this. It’s beautiful.

Some bugs. Dropped the bucket next to the goat she'd and now it won't let me pick it up again! How do I make cheese with no milk bucket!?

Would be a nice game.... Honestly, I can see how this game would be very sweet and emotional BUT when I downloaded the game (and tried reinstalling the app twice more) the music will NOT play. It completely detracts from the game and leaves you incredibly bored with how slow this game is paced. With the music, possibly better.

Great game but those darn wolves. Great game but I don’t know why cannot kill the wolves. I spent about 15 shotgun shells on 3 wolves, the get stunned but don’t die and they keep coming back. Can’t go to sleeep... wolves in an endless nightmare. Just kill my goats already geez lol

Beautiful game!. I love the game and everything about it. You have to survive in a desert with few others around! Its an anxiety relieving game for sure. I have just found one problem, when you close the app your progress just deletes when you go back into the game.

Great story, but too short.. Loved the story and the depth of the feeling in this game, however, it was really short. Played through the whole thing in less than a day, and was mildly disappointed, especially since I spent $5 on it. Honestly, the length of the game was definitely not worth the money, but the story was. However, this has certainly has reconfirmed why I seldom ever pay for a game: you often get short changed. Wouldn’t recommend paying for this.

Cute but problematic. I love how cute and simplistic the game is. Really great for just passing time. Although I am having issues. My milk bucket disappeared making it impossible to milk goats, so no cheese making and lack of items to sell so not able to trade much. My goats and chickens all got killed by wolves so I have no real means to provide for myself anymore and I feel like the days go by so quick in the game that I can’t accomplish much at all. I am now attempting to redownload the game to see if the glitch is gone, but it’s making it impossible to fully enjoy the game with it like that.

Beautiful game, very sad, just one ending?. This is a beautiful game, both and it’s look at it storytelling. There seem to be some sporadic bugs in the game that do affect gameplay. In my last game my watering cans disappeared halfway through, and I couldn’t tell whether this was a bug or part of the storyline. So far all my games have ended the same way, although they took different amounts of time to get to that ending. I wonder whether the developer can speak to whether it is possible to achieve different endings in the game?

Beautiful!. I’ve really been enjoying this game. The ambient sound and simple graphics are very charming and really make the game its own. The letters are a nice touch. One thing I think that could be improved is the day length. Daily activities either take too long, or the day is too short for me to finish everything I need to do. The short days often lead me to miss the postman, or waste some milk that I was about to make into cheese. I understand that Talma is supposed to move slowly, so instead of increasing her speed, I would lengthen the day a little bit.

Crashes. I love the game but after I get to the Billy goat part all the color disappears and I’m not able to do anything. Other than that it’s great.

Help!. Big problem. Just started this game ....potentially will 5 star it but my basket is STUCK! It’s halfway In the wall of my house and outside. She will not pick it up outside and it’s not visible inside. Without a basket my play is limited. I’ve shut down the game and cleared it twice. Two days have gone by in game and it’s still stuck! What can I do other than delete the game and start all over? And will that even work? 😥 :(

Love it, wish there was more. Beautiful game, relaxing but compelling at the same time. The story is vaguely spooky. I wish it went further and the family members arrived. It’s an interesting story line but it feels like a preview. The game play is relaxing and it’s nice to get your daily rhythm down. The days are very short so you can’t really waste time. Overall, loved it, wish there was more. A sequel, or an extension of the game would be great.

Amazing I Love It. This game isn’t just a game it is an experience and a heart rendering one at that. It gives the lesson of time, of prioritizing and your daily ritual is something to consider what is most important. I feel it has replay value simply for how calm and peaceful the game is. Bravo!

Amazing but the wolves. This game is truly beautiful. The story, the graphics, the gameplay is all unique and very interesting. I love this game and have been playing for a few weeks but there is a fairly big problem; the wolves. You can shoot them as much as you want yet they never die. And due to this they don’t leave until they kill a chicken or goat and those cost a lot of time. Please I love this game it’s just very difficult since the wolves keep killing my animals.

I loved it. Although it made me cry when my goat died, I loved it. I died next to my goat and I spent a good time making cheese and growing tomatoes and onions. Although my chickens disappeared and I had no food towards the end, it was pretty great.

I would love to love this game. Every time I open the app, I get to play for about 2 minutes before it inevitably crashes. It doesn’t seem to matter what I’m doing, and it has crashed even when I wasn’t interacting with anything. Since the game saves every night, I’m not able to progress at all. I’m really disappointed that I wasted my money on what could have been a beautiful and enjoyable experience. I played its predecessor Where the Goats Are, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and I’m sure this game is just as lovely and harrowing, but I’m worried I’ll never be able to play it. I’m hoping for a patch soon, and I did spend actual money, so I’ll keep it for now and be on the watch for future updates.

Heartrending and Lovely. I found the gameplay a refreshing contrast to games where the objective is to collect, and quickly complete increasingly complicated tasks. The character and ending drew me back to play a second time. In round two, I appreciated more of the surreal and symbolic themes of the game. It is masterfully illustrated, and the experience as a whole more than made up for the few bugs I ran into.

Should have listened.... About 30 minutes into playing the game and now I see why others said to hold off because of bugs. She dropped the basket close to rocks and will not pick it up anymore. My water bucket has completely vanished. I can’t find it anywhere. So now I can’t really do anything.

So FRUSTRATING!!!. OMG. I just bought this game 4 FIVE DOLLARS. Here are my reasons not 2 but this: 1. SOOOOO FUZZY. The screen is SUPER fuzzy. 2.The character is too slow! It takes me 30 seconds to walk from the goat pen to the house. 3: EVERY 5 MINUTES WHEN I DO SOMETHING LIKE SIT DOWN IT CRASHES AND I NEED TO START OVER THE WHOLE GAME 😡😡😡😡

3/5 will play again. After running through the game several times I think there should be a way to replace firewood, even if it’s an extra action from the tree stump out back or from purchasing from the vendor. There is no way to replace water either once the well runs dry, which varies as to how long you have access to it. One play I had access to the well 3 times before it was dry. 😕 But I like the idea of the game and will likely play it a few more times since I purchased it.

Boring, glitchy and slow. Don’t recommend paying for this game. It’s repetitive and slow, with not much to do. There’s no adventure and just found myself waiting for it to be over.

What’s worse? The slowness or the depression?. This was unbearable. I love Indi titles and I even love dark moody stuff but this was pointlessly sad and meaninglessly slow. So disappointed.

It’d be good if wasn’t so buggy. The game is an interesting concept but it crashes a lot. Progress is constantly being lost because of it, and considering how long it takes to get anything done in this game, it’s incredibly frustrating and makes it almost unplayable for fear of losing all your work. It’s quite meditative and the story is intriguing but I would not recommend this game to anyone until these issues have been resolved as they ruin the play experience. And considering I payed money for this app I fully expect them to be resolved! Thanks!

Keep crashing and cannot pass the first day. This game keeps crashing and will not go beyond the first day. A waste of time and money. It is supposed to be a relaxing game but instead it is a frustrating game.

Very fun but.... I recently started playing this game and I am quite far into it, but a problem early on happened where I sold my goats right away, and throughout the entire game I have had none. Please add the option to buy goats and if there is I don’t have it

Not enough gameplay for the money.. Very disappointed in the length of the game. Vast areas with little reward for exploration. Doesn’t matter how well you manage your farm, all food and hay becomes ruined at some point. Visually pleasing but at completion there is no sense of fulfillment, and no point in replaying since you cannot do any better. Buyers Remorse.

Ol’ gal moves painfully slow. There’s a bug where she keeps getting stuck in the cheese building at night. Looks like she’s stuck on the bucket, nothing you can do except reset, which leads me to the other thing I dislike: Cutscenes that zoom in slowly and no skip button are rage inducing. I like this game, the storyline is interesting and I like the game mechanics, but it’s pretty much unplayable at the stage it’s in, and there hasn’t been any bug fixes in two weeks... :/

Unstable. This game crashes before the end of the first day, every time. I’m not interested in paying for a game I have to constantly start over. Fix the issue and I will change my rating.

Current bug makes the game feel unplayable!!. Pro - game concept is just like harvest moon but simplified into a zen like feeling to the game. Artwork is appreciative. Con - the main character moves super slow. There is a bug when you are low on stamina, and when they give u an option to make cheese, you refuse(cancel) then the game freezes. The map scales bigger.. but wish there were camera controls to zoom in and out. Also would like to add a joypad and button option because this became an issue that was addressed by customers with stardew valley!

Crashes on title screen. Apple won’t refund the game for me even though it doesn’t work. It’s been close to 2 weeks and still there has been no update to correct the crashing issues a lot of people are experiencing. This is just poor salesmanship. I’ve officially lost interest. What a waste of money.
