Looks awesome on my iPhone and iPad. No noticeable lag or frame drops. Works better than streaming Xbox to windows 10.
It works great, i have my xbox on wifi and still works great. So far i love this app.
The Xbox has to be connected via wire, it will not let you stream otherwise. In the description they say you "should" use LAN but, when you open the app you realize it won't stream through Wi-Fi. The developers are being purposely misleading and they basically stole my money. This app is useless to me now. Edit to Respond to developer: It is most certainly true, sir, and I thank you for your prompt response. However, that is the situation I'm in with this app. I'll keep deleting and reinstalling and making sure my wifi and router are updated and working properly but, I'm certainly not the only reviewer claiming this. So far it is not working as advertised.
I was playing gta v all night and today but the down side is you need WiFi but this is the best app I ever use thank you overcast your the best 👍👍🤝🤝✋📱🎮 🥇🏆🎖
So first off the app runs well , my only negative comment is that realistically no one could play a shooter or a fast paced game with the on app controls because with a controller you have thumbs for sticks and buttons and index fingers for the triggers and bumpers , but with the app your dependent on just two thumbs to click buttons that normally 4 to 6 fingers do.
Major connection issue, disconnects every 3-5 mins. Running a $300 nighthawk, no traffic and everything hardwired. The app will freeze and cause you to reboot it. Not worth the money yet,
The app actually runs very good. I like it a lot, I wish they put a VR mode. But, it worth the price.
Love that I can stream the my xbox on my iPad while watching Netflix. I haven’t encountered any issues on my end.
There's a lot of things to say but I think the first person said enough. I just want to be able to play when I'm not at home. Other than that it's dope.
I bought this wanting to play my Xbox from anywhere on the go, preferably with a WiFi connection. Unfortunately, I have to be on the same WiFi network— which in my opinion, is relatively pointless since I can only play within 100 ft of where my Xbox is anyways... may as well play it on my TV. Not exactly “the convenience of the Switch”. I will say this app was very fluid when I played Skyrim in my house, and it’s good at what it is. But I won’t be using it, upset I spent money on this.
After owning the app on my MacBook Pro I thought I’d give this a go. Can confirm: works perfectly. My Xbox is plugged into my router with a network cable, as recommended by the developer of the app. I’ve got the newer Bluetooth controller which seems to give a bit more range. I had issues with previous controllers losing connectivity at no fault of the app, I was simply too far away from the console. Highly recommended, but make sure you follow the instructions and have your console plugged in directly to your router and connect your iDevice to 5GHz WiFi for the best possible results.
Onecast is really good but I think you should make that you can play at other places without your Xbox on
Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because can’t change Y axis Other wise I’ve had no problems with the app works great with Xbox one X and controller has no lag
Got followed the instructions, I have a fantastic internet connection and still drops. Can’t play on mobile as so unstable. Also put this app on my iPad again wouldn’t work for longer than a few minutes. As soon as I input a command the connection fails. Waste of money. Do not buy.
Hi sorry it still lags could you do an update on the same features
One problem I have is that I have to turn on my tv first before it will connect properly and half the time it won’t connect to my xbox.
The controller seems to work fine navigating the Xbox menus, but as soon as I load up forza, it seems to lock up, I can get out of the game using the Xbox button on the controller, but nothing else in game works. Support said make sure the controller is connected before firing up OneCast, no luck there. Tried with a charge and play adapter (basically a wired controller), still go go. Going to try with some other games and request a refund if I have the same results. I feel two stars is being generous when the purpose is to play games without a tv, only so much joy to be had going through the Xbox menus.
I love this a lot just wish it wasn’t so laggy
Really super neat app, once set up works like a charm. A couple notes: Make sure you have a 5GHz router and your xbox is connected by cable to the LAN. Try using an MFi controller for ultimate in house portability. And if you need tweak your xbox resolution setting and the in app setting to get the performance you want.
When I first looked at this app I was quite anxious of losing $18 dollars on an app that might not even work. But I took the risk and it was well worth it! I had no TV for the night but wanted to play with my mates so I downloaded onecast on my iPad with hope I could still play my Xbox without a tv, it works great. The display is smooth and game play runs perfectly fine. Very good purchase, great job guys!
There are some problems with lag every now and then but nothing worth even worrying over, having wired connection definitely helps rather than wireless. For some games like Apex, fortnite or elder scrolls online, you will need a strong connection to have good nonlagging experience. Overall great, easy to use and fair price.
This has been life-changing stuff. I love the flexibility of being able to play wherever I want in the house. My Xbox is wired and I can play on my iPad or iPhone (AC Wireless) on high/very high. The app is extremely stable as well. Great job to the devs!
It is amazing and I love it!!!!!
Even on low video quality this app has frame lag it’s horrible. This is a good concept but poorly executed.
I wish u can take any but this ok
No words needed
For me the app simply doesn’t work with my new Xbox One X. Getting connected took several tries and kept giving me random error numbers. When I finally did get connected, it was so laggy that it was unplayable. I have a pretty typical home network on cable internet and excellent Wi-Fi signal throughout me house, so I was really surprised and disappointed in the lack of functionality given the great reviews. The on screen controls are pretty bad as well. I was hoping it would actually be playable on my iPad from my bedroom downstairs, but I think you just need an Xbox controller and have to be in range of the console. I’m sad.
This app is amazing! When it works...unfortunately it very rarely works. I have everything set up how they recommend it. I have great internet. But it still almost never works. I get about 10 minutes into any game and the connection drops and won’t reconnect. I was so excited for this app, what a let down..
this is the best ever. There is no lag at all . Just wow
This app actually works extremely well. But unfortunately, as usual there is always some useless restriction that hinders me from leaving anything over a 2 star rating. The on screen controller works great, but for some odd reason the devs decided you can only edit very specific clusters of controls in very specific ways. Example: Do you want your right and left trigger on the right side of the screen? too bad, you can only move the left trigger within a small area on the left side of the screen. Want to move RB but not LT? too bad, they are clustered together. Want to change the size of a specific button? Once again, tough luck. You're stuck changing the size of every single on screen button as if they are one entity. This is ridiculous, why in the world would you guys limit such an extremely important aspect of this application? Will change rating when they fix this.
I’m delighted by OneCast, it does exactly what it claims to, is simple to set up, and has wonderful support.
