UPDATED Unfinished. Excellent! All apparent issues resolved and more great features added! Using this to create live drum, multilayer, sample sets for use in other apps. Quick and easy! ————- I ran into a problem not yet resolved but this is a tight, fast, app to create sample sets with. I think my source file contains markers or other information that is confusing Samplist. The problem files were previously edited in BeatMaker 3 and originated in GarageBand. You’ll find this developer very, very, kind and courteous. (I sent you a GDrive link.)

Excellent start and more to come.... ....this guy is doing what iOS still allows; seeing a spot for something that someone wants themselves and then that someone saying ‘dammit’ and going out and making it. A good machine that’s evolving quickly. Worth enjoying the app and supporting the developer.

Need to fix bugs. When you open the app it works perfectly, but when you open another app and return to SAMPLIST it freezes and closes by itself.

Best sampler app I’ve crossed 🔥. All pros Good app i love it only downside it should be an AuV3 app as well

Solid Sampler. The interface for editing sounds is good and the non-chromatic mode is the most useful at this point. It’s nice to be able to evenly split a sample into however many slices you want. Works well in IAA, Audiobus 3, and standalone. The area where I’d like to have more flexibility would be being able to manage files and slices more easily. If you create a slice manually and then delete it, your slices can get out of order. It’d be very nice to be able to name individual slices, and to put them in the order you want using drop and drag. The last slice in a sample can be problematic as the app frequently will prevent you from turning the last part of the sample into a playable slice. It would be nice to be able to combine samples together and to be able to create marker tagged AIFF output files for use in apps like GaragageBand and Beatmaker 3 in addition to the current export of individual slice files.

Inter audio with GarageBand. This app is the bomb sampler but in GarageBand it doesn’t work. Name shows up as Sender with the icon. Please fix this because I love the layout. Love how we can change location of the sample section to accommodate button sequences, sweet. Quality sounds better in your app imo so can you fix the GB issue.

Issue with files. For some reason, I can’t import my own downloads. I downloaded a sample from my computer, sent it to my phone, and now I can’t import it into the app. It’s the same thing for every audio file except splice samples

Doesn’t work. I have an iPhone SE 2020 running iOS 14… This app does not work, don’t buy it.

Crashes. Can’t use with my Bluetooth headphones. Crashes as soon as I open the Bluetooth menu.

Crash. Bluetooth option in settings shuts down the app on iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Rubbish. Very limited sample player. Does not have the ability to: ~cut ~reposition slices ~glue ~no graphical representation of amp envelope or filters over sample ~no reverse sample This is a $0.50 toy, at best. Absolutely rubbish, don't waste your money.

Fun but useful. So easy to use without being cheesy. Feels like a real piece of equipment to come up with legitimate ideas and when I get home feed them into my daw on the pc. Because I use a daw on the pc. This iPad needs to be QUICK, EASY and EFFECTIVE . This app makes it so.

Mic record crash. On my iPhone iOS 10.3 iPhone 5 mic record crashes app every time

Doesn’t work. Try to use a wired midi controller and it won’t work. The only menu options are for Bluetooth settings, which just crashes. And the midi mapping option has nothing about finding the keyboard.

Exactly what I was looking for. Standalone devices that do exactly this are rare and expensive. For the couple bucks this app costs, it’s unbelievable how powerful it is. I’ve been looking for a good solution to recording samples and quickly being able to turn them into playable melodies via onscreen keyboard interface. This can do exactly that and more. Now I don’t have to spend $600 on a used Korg Microsampler. THANK YOU!

An excellent start. Samplist has a clean and (mostly) intuitive interface that’s straightforward about sampling. It may be one of the best standalone sampling apps you’re going to find. All that said, there are just a few things that would make it a five-star app: 1. Most noticeable: setting slice boundaries is clumsy. Based on my experience with other apps, I expected to move the slice start time, not the length of the whole slice. 2. You can only play one sample on the keyboard at a time. If you want multisampled instruments, you’ll have to go with something like Beatmaker 3. 3. There’s no “save as” option — or if there’s a way to do it, I’m not finding it. 4. No filter ADSR or looping, so … you get what you get.

Can’t sample songs I own. Thought this app was for sampling your music not cheesy samples

Decent sampler. Won’t work in inter app audio mode on any of my devices, pretty big let down

No Dropbox. No Dropbox importing.

Great app to create chops on the go!. Great app to quickly create chop packages to export to drum machine!

Great chops. But. Changing a duplicated pads chromatic sound is unknown. Recording appears to be unavailable. How do I record a melody of slices, with a record button that has no function. I imagine if the record button would record, it would record through the iPads microphone instead of an option to record the internal apps audio that was playing (for clarity). And that would not be original or ideal. Overall, great attempt so far.

I like the app just have some questions. The app performs as advertised, it's just not as user friendly as I would have hoped. For example I cannot for the life of me figure out how to switch from the virtual pads to the keyboard. There is no such anywhere I've looked and I can't find a useful tutorial online. Developer, could you help me figure that out in exchange for this 5 star rating? I want to use my wired midi keyboard with the app.

Cool but not functioning. After tapping “all slices” it says “no slices” also when trying to do what I bought the app for (export slices) it does absolutely nothing. Depending on the app I try to export to it MIGHT save the entire sample, pretty much exporting an exact copy of the entire sample I had JUST imported into Samplist?

Update. Thanks for the update on IOS 14 this is one of the best Sampling apps. Slice, chop, BMP time stretch, zoom in on the sample. Its own folder plus inter app. You be poping samples in an out like a old school pizza man in a bizzy pizzeria. If I could I’d give it 10 stars hands Down Nice.........

Needs work. Concept is good, sound is terrible, SampleWiz or slicer. would be a much better choice for the price. ADSR needs work, chromatic playback probably sound better if able to turn off speed pitch correction, only monophonic. Wants like this app but needs work,

Off to a good start. This a decent sampler and easy to use.I haven’t come across any problems.Well done!

Super good!. Flawless! Only gets better.

I Like. Should’ve gotten this app a long time ago. My favorite part is exporting slices that you chop up into a zip file. This is gonna be a musically creative game changer for me! A simple sampler made for 2020! 🤍🙌

Very useful app. I got to play with this app and I find it very useful. Keep the updates coming. ;)

Doesn’t work with AUM.. Non-starter for me.

Looks good but can't use it. This App doesnt work inside AUM as an interapp Audio. There is no contact information for support on their website. I can't say anything good or bad about the app itself as i cant use it inside my project untill they sort this out.

Good start. Keep going!. Finally tried this after buying ages ago. Here’s some observations: • It doesn’t seem to have a built-in looper/hold button. • Each pad can only have a subsample of a single larger sample. • The ADSR controls don’t seem to be able to stop clicks from occurring. I hope you can work out how to make this an AUv3 version someday.

Great start to an MPC-style sampler. Editing waveforms is finicky.. More samplers are always welcome and this definitely has some unique ideas around implementing an MPC-style sampler. I know the developer has expressed lots of intention to improve this which is why I jumped on it so early. Things I’d like to see (I submitted this last week but Apple never posted so in the meantime the dev has already addressed a couple of these below): - editing waveforms are frustrating. If they overlap or you’re trying to zoom in/out instead, you far too easily pick up the wrong slices (usually the ones to the right) and undo all the fine tuning you might have just done. If you could either: lock a slice in place after you’re happy with it for now that might solve it. In addition either an Edit button to jump in and out of Editing slices or zoom/panning around OR separate the zoom/pan actions to above or below the waveform area. - RESOLVED. sample recording directly in app (I would have expected this as de rigueur in a sampler these days) - AUv3 support. Maybe its not the intention of this app to play samples in a DAW rather just chop them up and export. If not then best to just focus on it being a solid editing app. it would be a mixing/mastering nightmare to have all these processed audio samples, so as a user I’d recommend ignoring all the filtering and only exporting raw samples. - Share menu support from other apps that can output audio directly rather than having to go the extra step of saving it to a document provider first. - SOLVED. Polyphonic support the dev has already promised and that will be fantastic too. Looking forward to it thanks!

control. Slice lenght control is not good, not responsive. Latency is poor. Otherwise, pretty cool. 😎

iOS 14 broke it—- fixed. Doesn’t work since updating just crashes when trying to open...it works now...awesome sampler! Only complaint is no auv3 but still a dope sampler!
