Multiuser Support - Pfft!. Overall, the app works pretty well. Had a few glitches with it when I initially installed it on my phone but after working with it a little it made more sense. That said, I found the “multiuser functionality” a bit of a joke. We bought the scale because it would allow me to track my weight automatically through my fitness apps and allow my wife to do the same. What they don’t tell you is that you can only have one account per scale, meaning my wife and I can’t have separate personal accounts so that we don’t get any crossover through the fitness tracking apps AND you can only have one person logged into the account at one time. So if the wife weighs herself after I go to work I have to manually log out of the app on my phone so she can login on her phone. If there is a reason for it I don’t know but seems a bit ridiculous.

Loving it so far!. I don’t expect the measurements to be very accurate. However, the measurement differences should be. So I’m looking forward to tracking over time with this scale. It’s super nice that the scale tracks all 13 measurements and shows trends. Now I can ditch my spread sheet. What is frustrating is there is no where to include body measurements. The scale came with a tape measure to track the differences in body part diameter. But the app doesn’t have anywhere to log and track those numbers. I will happily bump my review to 5 stars if they add a way to record and track body size changes with manually input measurements.

Works Great. The app has been working flawlessly. It’s helped me recognize that I’m just about 5 pounds off from a healthy level. It’s great tracking my progress so far having been (6’4”) 242.6 just under 2 months ago to 209.2 today.

Excellent body tracker. This app calculates all your body measures automatically if you buy the great and affordable scale Etkcity model that allows the app user. You can set calls, all your measures once you check on the scale goes to your mobile. All my family is using.

The app needs tweaking. I like this scale and the app however the app needs some edits. You can’t see what’s on the bottom of the page because the bottom menu is in the way. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to look at your trends because you don’t know which trend you’re looking at.

Useless for tracking trends over time.. Suddenly, something is wrong with the scale or the app. Scale is less than a year old. Now, when syncing, it will only update the app with the latest stats of each day. You could weigh in the morning and evening and it will only push the evening weight to the app. If you wait multiple days to sync, it will only update with the last weight each day. If you are trying to track morning weight trends you are no longer able to. It didn’t used to be this way. You could weigh multiple times per day and it would update with all of them on the calendar.

Multi User functionality dismal. I LOVE the concept of this ap, but as other users have pointed out-over a year ago-it does not work well for multi users. Seems as if the company does not care at all. Which makes me look for a new brand when I replace.

Has some challenges, but pretty good. Will sync the information of multiple people to every device which causes confusion when updating information. If a random user steps on the scale it will take that information and sync it with the next paired device. Overall, love the ease of the scale and detailed information, but some issues.

Pretty good app. I’ve been using this app for around 4 months now and I’m very impressed by it. I recommend this if only one person wants to see the trends. The app isn’t the best when it comes to the “multiuser” function. However, it gets the job done. I like it.

Horrible!! Don’t waste your time or money. Horrible app. Actually considering returning scale at this point because APP is worthless. Not user friendly at all, glitches everywhere. Can’t even go to the FAQ without getting stuck literally have to restart phone to get out. Doesn’t let you adjust readings. App doesn’t seem to really know what to do with info. The design of this APP is terrible. I’m so disappointed.

Inconsistent at best. The scale for this works great but the app doesn’t seem to know what to do with the data. It doesn’t have any kind of trend tracking outside of keeping a rough count of how much you’ve changed since your starting point. The app is close to worthless for anything outside of tracking your weight. It has you enter your biometric data so it can calculate other stats like BMI and body fat percent but it’s woefully inaccurate. It also started treating my weigh ins as inaccurate measurements because apparently it was impossible for my body fat percent to go down as I lost weight. Several of the measurements on the app didn’t even match the weight shown on the scale. All in all I recommend the scale but I can’t recommend the app. There’s much more useful and accurate resources online if you’re willing to enter your stats manually, or you could just write it down on a piece of paper cause that’s still better than the app

Awful upgrade. They combined their fitness app with all their other products, somehow making everything way worse. None of the features work properly, it can’t connect to your devices, it’s about 50/50 if the app will actually log something, if the app does log something it’s probably I correct, but there’s no way to take something out of your history any more. Truly do not get this or their products, there’s way better brands with better products out there.

App Unreadable. After the latest update for this app, I can’t seem to read any of the labels for the Trends section. Can’t tell what the graphs mean etc. some stats never seem to change. Ideal if your looking to track weight changes but beyond that, not sure was the level of accuracy for subcutaneous fat etc measurements are. Use a trust ol measuring tape and do the maths online for an accurate bmi.

Glitches kill the app. I’ve had this for 2 month. I’m a scale hawk so I’m alway in it. Trying to edit false weights that aren’t mine is impossible. It tells me I have to select what I’ve already selected. Very annoying. I just want my Bluetooth scale to work

Love it!. I am really impressed with how well this app and scale work together. I feel like the two working together are really helping me achieve my weight loss goals. I am able to easily see my progress in several areas besides just weight - BMI, Body Fat, Fat-free Body Weight, Subcutaneous Fat, Visceral Fat, Body Water and others. I can clearly see the trends which helps with motivation. There are graphs and numerical data that can be exported. The app has run flawlessly on my 6S+. Open the app, step on and off the scale to allow for calibration and then step back on the scale for about 15-20 seconds. It automatically records and calculates the data. Well done!

Works well. I got the app and the scale a month back. Have had ZERO issues so I have no idea wheee all the negative reviews are coming from. The weight seems accurate. The body fat is not correct, but I expected that (the only way to get it accurate is an INBODY assessment). I would buy the scale and download the app!

Good for me. I’ve used this app with the etekcity scale for over a year now. I’ve enjoyed the output system marking trends in my results. For me I’ve had no issue, but I’m a single user. I have never had another user so I can’t speak to the issue people are complaining about. I think it may just be a lot of user error not selecting the right profile BEFORE stepping on the scale. Idk though. It’s been great for me never had a problem.

Weird calculus. The app appears to be off by 10% on body fat, and a great deal more on skeletal muscle. It appears to consider BMI in its equation, which uses the insurance industry’s health standard. I can’t say for sure what my visceral fat is, so I’m assuming that reading is correct, but skeletal muscle and body fat don’t come close to correct.

So far the scale is great, app UI doesn’t seem to fit. Like the title says, so far I’ve really liked the scale, and the app looks nice, but it’s not very intuitive. Things get cut off on the bottom and edges of the screens and it just doesn’t seem like the app is very optimized to fit on an iPhone screen.

Scale works fine but that app has some glaring issues. First off I want to say that I absolutely hate the fact that if the app thinks you gained weight or made negative progress, it plays this sound effect like you’re a failure. That’s an awful way to motivate people to use the scale and track their data, and there is no way to turn it off or change the sound or anything. Also, the app seems to have difficulty registering the data coming from the scale. The first time I used it, it told me I had lost 20 pounds, then I weighed myself the next day and I had only lost roughly ten pounds but the app didn’t seem to like that so I had to mess around with it to get the right data in. The scale is nice and works the way it should, but the app is next to useless. Would definitely recommend to buy a different scale with a better app, if you really want the data kept on your phone/mobile device.

Registration required. All I want to do is sync the data to Apple health app. Don’t feel comfortable having to create account with email address. Don’t feel comfortable sharing all the data you collect and send to third parties. Just read the privacy policy and it’s very embarrassing. Glad I checked this out before making a final decision to purchase the scale. This is a deal breaker for me.

((IDEA)) for the author 😃. I think the app works perfectly but not all people have the same goals. Not everyone wants to just loose weight. As a bodybuilder my goal is to gain muscle mass gain wait and loose fat. If we could set multiple goals for specific needs like Muscle mass and body fat percentage instead of just weight the app would be perfect

No multi user options. App is garbage. You can add additional users, but when one person records a weight it puts it in for all the users and there’s no way to delete a weigh in either. You also cannot have more than 1 person logged in at a time. Very inconvenient. You get what you pay for...

Really great for tracking progress until it deleted everything. I love the app and the scale. But recently out of nowhere it logged me out of my account to on the app and I lost everything. All my history and progress is just gone

Love the app, but hard to see. I love this app and the detail it gives. That said, I’m having a super hard time reading the lime green (which is most for me) against the white background. I thought when I changed the app colors, those might change too, no such luck. From a pure design perspective, this is a terrible flaw in an otherwise flawless app.

Crashes All the Time. This app continually says my network isn’t working even when I have full bars for wifi. It continually crashes and won’t sync my data. And today was the final straw when it deleted all of my past data without warning and I can’t get any of it back. Stupid app that isn’t worth the time.

FitBit Integration Doesn’t Work. I bought the scale specifically so I could use it with my FitBit, unfortunately their browser implementation to log in to the Fitbit account doesn’t work, the form fields cannot be selected so the only way to log in is if you originally set up your fitbit account through Facebook. Really shoddy dev work there.

Major design flaws. The app teases you like you can select the date you want to compare your weight with but when you go to select it nothing happens so basically you have to compare your weight with the very first day that you weighed yourself years ago. Also no way to delete past data or erroneous measurements that you don’t want to keep.

Please don’t delete this app. The new app that we were told to use isn’t working yet. Please keep this one working until the bugs are worked out of the new one. Thanks!

Multiple user support and delete. The application worked ok but seems like it will sync data even if it is not the your( in my case my brother stepped on the scaled and his data synced to my profile and there is no option to delete. I should able to delete/edit.

Works... OK. Works ok just not blown away by it. The colors really bother me, it lets you select a color but they’re all too bright and elementary. I’d like a dark mode or at least be able to select a grey or darker color. Anyway... Sometimes it forgets the data it Bluetooth’s over. Kinda annoying.

You CAN delete, it DOES track trends. I almost wrote a much more negative review, but after fiddling around with it some more I was able to find out that individual measurements can be deleted. Unfortunately, it was not super intuitive so I ended up deleting a whole month’s worth of data. I would much prefer that when doing “select current data” it doesn’t default to the whole month. An undo button there would be great. I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying it doesn’t track your trends, but it does. You just click trends at the bottom. Overall, the app could use some work on user friendliness but the functionality is great. I love being able to see all these stats over time.

Discontinued.. Upon opening the app, I’m prompted to sign in or create an account. I tap create account. The next page says this app is about to be discontinued and to download and sign up for their whole connected home app instead. I don’t want a whole connected home, nor do I want my email address out there with this company. It needs to have Apple Login.

Easy to use; good HealthKit integration. I like how it works with the Health app, and the large number of measurements it tracks. My biggest complaint is the very tiny font on some of the screens.

Terrible App. It keeps telling me there is a huge difference in measurements when there really is not. It keeps saving random data that is not even my weight. The numbers it gives you apart from your weight (which is really the only good thing about this combo) are completely off. The scale is pretty good, but i might of gotten a different a scale that has a better app.

Been broken and now worse with iOS 16. I share the scale with my roommate. He’s 115ish and I’m 165ish. Sometimes it will pop up and let me assign the recent weigh in’s to one or the other, but now his 116 is in my profile and before there was a trash icon you could barely hit in the bottom right to at least remove weigh in’s, since you couldn’t move it, but with iOS 16 I can’t see the icon anymore. My history and trend is now screwed up with this 116 weigh in. Fix this please!!!

Change font color. Please change the green font. Its too bright and difficult to read.

Terrible. It records your numbers just fine but when you want to select a different date to compare against then you better set one you’ll always want because good luck selecting another. Right now mine is stuck on a date back in February (it’s May now) and I can’t do anything to switch it.

Sync issues following latest update. App originally worked like a charm. Now following the latest update (end of November 2018) it cannot sync the data. Every morning after weighing, it asks me to select the correct user. Same thing the next day and the next day, etc. It’s maddening. If it helps, iPhone XR.

Please change the color of the text. The light green text in the app is nearly impossible to read! It should be a very simple css change...why won’t they listen to this feedback and just change it?

Not good. I looked at the scale, which received positive reviews, but the app simply is not working. Rather than sync, it keeps telling me to check go see if my Bluetooth is on, but doesn’t go any further than that even though I’m ready to connect. I might be sending this back, but I’m still giving it some hope before I do.

Old reviews. A lot of the bad reviews seem to be from a couple years ago but I got it today and it works well, is intuitive, and looks clean. I’d recommend getting it and now worrying about these old negative reviews

Annoyed. When I started using the scale it did not require log in information. Now randomly it asks for info I didn’t set up and I can’t retrieve my info. It does this every week. Then it pulls up my profile with no info required

Awesome!. Setup was easy and the range of data was something I have always wanted to keep track of my health at home. The app connected almost immediately after I made a profile. I wasn’t even aware it had biometric scanners until it told me to step on the scale with bare feet. It even came with batteries, Energizer even!

No network??. I keep trying to delete my profile, and all i get is that it cant detect a network, which is the same message i get when i try to set any goals, sync the health app or sync my current weight with the app. It doesn’t matter the network WiFi or Mobile. All i want is to delete my profile.

Scale Great, App is Horrible. So i got the scale yesterday. it’s confusing how to sync to the app. App isn’t intuitive at all. At least my kids decided the scale is a toy. which is fine, but i accidentally associated all their weights and measurements to my profile. GUESS WHAT! you can’t delete the weight once it’s linked to your profile. If you can, neither me or my wife can figure out how. So now i have a 250 weight with a drop to 64 lbs. the averages are all messed up. So i have to delete my entire profile and start over. At least it’s on Day 2. If you’re going to have a scale used by multiple people, we humans are going to make accidents when linking daily measurements to profiles.

App works. The app seems to be working fine. My only problem is trying to sync my data with Fitbit. Not showing my updated weight info on Fitbit app.

Sync with other apps. Scale is great. Easy set up. App has instantly linked with app each time. Just wished it would sync with other workout apps like MyFitnessPal, Sworkit, etc.

Pretty cool. I've only had it less than a week. I love it so far. The only thing I would like to request is to be able to remove log entries. Another family member weighed and when I went to weigh, it downloaded her stats onto my phone and I accidentally saved them. There should be a way to go to the history and swipe to delete them. I was able to swipe and delete the data from my Fitbit and Apple Health apps that it's synced to.

Completely inconsistent and unreliable Bluetooth connection to your phone after you weigh in. This girl Vesync is terrible. It never has the right day and it doesn’t update daily like it says it supposed to be at the Bluetooth. It’s very random and unpredictable and it’s frustrating when you’re trying to do better. Fix your app or take it down.

Doesn’t connect to scale, iPhone shows health scale. It doesn’t connect to the scale, iPhone shows health scale in the Bluetooth settings, but this app cannot connect to its own devices. What a shame

Please include an athletic profile for more accurate data!. I’ve used this for a year and enjoy it for benchmarking my data over time. However, there isn’t an option to identify as athletic in my profile set up. This skews the results and shows my body fat as obese when in fact, I am muscular and lean. It’s frustrating to have so much data and and still be so off-base. Please add this feature.

Frustrating. “The network is not working, please try again later” So I pressed help button to send an email, same response.

Network Problems. “The network is not working” is the constant refrain from this app. This renders the smart scale essentially useless (save for displaying weight on the scale itself - like a “dumb” scale).

Not syncing. Does not sync with the iphone. I tried with 2 diffent iphone and nothing.

Colors!!. I like the scale but the app is confusing. There is a dashboard that shows 13 figures about your body in different colors but they are not consistent. You should have a common color theme. For example dark green is the best and light green for average, orange below average and red for bad. So when I look at dashboard I can immediately tell what’s good and what’s needed to be worked on

Delete data that is not your own. It’s kinda ridicules that you can not delete data when a friend comes over and uses your scale.

Unable to enter basic user info. Unbelievably bad. So broken you cannot enter more than your name. Birthday or height, forget it. The form is hopelessly broken. And do you want to venture a guess what your BMI calculation requires? Height.

Horrible.. After an update the app crashes when attempting to open!

Stopped syncing with my phone. I have an iPhone and the scale will not connect to Bluetooth anymore, and doesn’t give me the option in my settings to “give permission” for the app to connect to Bluetooth. Still connecting to my fiancé’s Samsung just fine.

Wrong weight.. My weight and the weight i got from the scale isn’t right. I know my weight but when i step on the scale it gives me the weight that i’m not.

App Stopped Working. This app is useless. It stopped working after a week and no longer adjusted my weight changes. I reinstalled it twice to see if that would work. It did not. Now I have a fancy scale that only tells me my weight.

Unable to read!. Print is so small and with little contrast between the white text and green background makes it very hard to read. Virtually useless.

Overreach. I wanted a scale and app that would work together for my health, but the first thing the app did was to tell me to make an account. I don’t want to give up personal information, I just want to record my scale readings on my phone.

Questions about the stats. The stats I got like BMI is very different from my report from InBody. I don’t know which one is more accurate

Terrible. App is horrible. Can’t even get started using it! Scroll weeks for height birthday don’t appear! Can’t pair my scale with it! There is no support! Do not buy these products!!! Absolutely trash!

So disappointing. The old app worked so well. Then they forced a migration and the scale never connects. Just a disaster

Does not update weight. The new update has a problem syncing with the weighting machine. Readings are not always read and may show up only after a few hours and after I close the app and restart it!

App doesn’t work at all. Just purchased a scale and downloaded the app, however, the app won’t even let me create an account, keeps saying there is a network errors. What a disappointment.

Do NOT Recommend. Worked great! Until the new app. Now it’s crap. Have to run the Bluetooth anomaly every time I weigh. Time for a better scale.

App Unable to Record Biometrics. The scale works fine and connects to blue tooth but the biometrics have stopped registering and recording on the app. It says “unable to” and “try again with feet in a different position, etc” but then never works.

Couldn’t connect to my scale!!. This app failed to connect to the scale and they changed the app as well. The older version worked well.

Garbage. Used to be a great app. Connected to my scale no problem. Now it just tells me to login on the VeSync app, and then freezes when I try. As I said, garbage.

Bloated app coercion. VeSync is now floating a bloated 380 MegaByte app to replace this 28 MegaByte app just to download weigh scale data. Major dissatisfaction.

Wasted Money. It works great as a scale. They really should have spent more resources on app development for multi users. App is consistent on losing previous data causing log in over and over. Makes tracking trends impossible. But hey it looks nice on the floor. Do your research of other brand reviews before purchasing the esf28..

Doesn’t work at all. I could give it less than 1 star if I could. It doesn’t at all update your weight.

Not Accurate. The body fat percentage is way off by taking the BMI into the calculation. I've been around 10% consistently and it says I'm at 24% which is not even close. This is just another scale... Nothing smart about it.

Network not working. Would love to be able to use this but I can’t even create an account because the app isn’t working. Pleaseeee fix

What’s the point. My scale no longer connects to the app to log my weight. I can’t figure it out. It worked perfectly before. I’ve tried un linking it and re adding it with Bluetooth. Nothing.

More often than not, it doesn’t work.. I have no clue how to get it to sync regularly. Like daily. Sometimes it does and more times it does not. Any suggestions? I have an iPhone XS MAX By the way, when it does sync, it catches up, but why does it not sync every time? Like the scale. The App no.

Scale will not connect. I have the model EB4887S scale and it will not connect to the app. I keep getting an error that the scale cannot be detected. Looking at the scale it clearly has bluetooth connectivity hence the symbol displaying on the screen. Is there a trick to connecting it? Or is it even compatible?

It’s a pretty scale. If you want to know your weight and trend it works great. If you are trying to understand muscle growth, body fat and other things there is no way this works. It’s actually works to demotivate you and certainly doesn’t get muscle mass correct.

Does not keep track. Been using an etekcity scale for half a year now and have been weighing myself just about everyday but i guess the app only decided to keep track of about 6 days total. Thanks app.

Won’t connect to scale anymore. App worked great and then all of a sudden stopped working. Changed the batteries, reinstalled app, etc. Tried everything and the scale will not pair to app. iPhone 6s Plus

Flat out doesn’t work.. Got a 2018 version etekcity scale and it never updates your weight or measurements but once in a blue moon. Poor app which makes the scale useless for your body fat and other measurements. Developer needs to fix ASAP.

Inconsistent and inaccurate. This app doesn’t calculate correctly and it doesn’t track your weight it’s completely pointless .

Unable to add new user.. Cannot successfully add a new member/user. Unable to scroll to pick age, height, etc.

Functional scale, dis functional app. Simply won’t pair with the scale. Followed all diagnostic steps and the app simply won’t find the scale. What’s the point in a Bluetooth scale when it can’t pair with any devices?

Does its job!. This app works well with our scale and is as accurate as a scale can be!!!

Does not work. Downloaded this app, however the Confirm button during the verification process does not work (page where you add Name, Photo, Age etc) neither does it give any error message. - iPhone XS Max

Does not work with speech. The application works fairly well it gives me the numbers however I use voiceover on the iPhone and it is not compatible with voiceover

Scale is good; app is wanting. The app is unintuitive and awkward to use. Easy review and editing of data is frustrating, bordering on difficult.

NOT FUNCTIONAL. You can’t even login, just keep getting “network is not working” errors. I’ve never even been able to open the app! It’s BEYOND frustrating and the developers need to fix this ASAP. My extra features on my Etekcity scale are useless because this app will not work at ALL.

Shocking incompetence. The apps fails the user from the instant a new user tries to register. Password entry produces constant “format”’errors. Only simple password works. Then, the user is stuck when entering, name, height and dob. Nothing works past that, making the device completely a dumb device.

Really buggy app needs updates. It worked the first time I used it. Since then it won’t record the new weight. Annoying!

Can’t even open the app. The app crashes a few seconds after I open it. Cannot even use it. Will update if fixed but this is unacceptable. I have an iPhone 7 Plus.

Doesn’t work. I downloaded app and when trying to create a log in profile it just says network unavailable
