Absolutely Ridiculous. You download to have quick access, but the app doesn’t give you access. Then you call member services and the person has absolutely no clue how to help. You then ask for technical support and she tells you they have no direct number to call. Then proceeds to tell you that you have access online (which I know because I told her!). I ask her what app I was supposed to download because this one says California. She says that this is it. I am officially annoyed. So member services: No clue. Tech support: Non-existent. Application: Non-functioning. I never write reviews, but this took the cake! 😡
I wish I could give negative stars. Worst app I’ve ever downloaded. I just had to switch over to Ambetter and their app doesn’t give me much confidence in their ability to provide help when needed. Hopefully their in-house management is better than their technical services. Not only does the app have SEVERAL glitches but it also requires you to sign in every single time you open it. It’s basically a glorified shortcut to their website.
😩. I don’t know how I feel about this at first before I downloaded the app it let me on I looked at everything but then I went to download it and I logged in an everything and then the app blocked me I wasn’t even on the app for 5 mins when I downloaded it when it had blocked me!! After all this I’m kind of scared to go and use this insurance at the doctors!!
Totally nonfunctional. This app won't even open--on any device. Never has. Useless and incredibly frustrating waste of my time and energy trying to make it work. Shame on you, HealthNet. You should be doing better.
Rubbish app. If I can give negative star, I would give -5 stars. They changed my subscriber ID since 2018 but never informed me until I went to a hospital and they told me my account was inactive. I called CS and they told me my new ID. But when I finally logged in this new rubbish app and got my I D card, it’s still my old ID. How stupid it is.
Worst app ever award?. Literally the worst app I have ever encountered. It would be 0/5 stars if possible. Basically every useful function is formatted as a desktop browser window. There is exactly one usable page, which is viewing what your primary care doctor’s name. That’s it. Seriously considering changing my insurance based on the app alone.
Worst. Can login on the desktop with no issues but unfortunately any combo I use for verification on the app tells me there is no match found. Not sure how I can see a whole dashboard of options on the desktop and nothing on the app. Totally worthless. Will be deleting this app immediately.
Ridiculous. Like others said already, this app is a joke. In fact, the whole company is a joke. You wait A MONTH to get a piece of plastic with four numbers you could easily get electronically in an instant. The website is a complete junkyard of ill-built databases. The customer service is a monument to sheer incompetence. Your employer might list this as a “benefit”, but it’s actually a malus and one should keep that in mind. Now, the app. Opens up in Spanish — no option to change it. It prompts you to create an account: for that you either provide last four of SSN (ahah, no sorry) or your Member ID that THEY provide. Well, the ID contains letters but the app only accepts numbers. So, completely useless. Like the company. Just hope not to get ill or sick.
Picking. This App is a nightmare,I wasn’t able to make my payment on time,before it was so easy to make a payment on line,doesn’t recognize my account number or date of birth,can’t recover my account because doesn’t recognize my email either,very frustrating!
Completely worthless. Supposedly updated just a couple days ago but yet, no change in the fact it doesn’t work and hasn’t worked for years. Can’t wait to get this year of crap coverage behind me. Happy for those who get good coverage elsewhere for a fraction of what I pay but for almost $1700 a month for 2 healthy people, you’d think that at least the app would function.
Can never log in nor speak clear English. This is the worst app for healthcare, not to mention the worst health care insurance company. They’re located in the Philippines they have no understanding of how medicine works in the United States. They’re constantly apologizing for the inconvenience. The funny thing is I can access my payment portion in the app but I cannot access my provider or benefits. It’s very frustrating to talk to someone and have them constantly apologize for the inconvenience and they cannot speak fluent English.
Useless. Only for California??. If I could post a picture here it would be the screen snapshot of the app showing a ‘please wait’ spinning wheel that comes up and never goes away when I launch the app from this pathetic excuse of a company. All 1 star reviews, I wonder why. About time to Lookup the C -Level staff and listing of the Board members and start making their lives as difficult as they make ours!!! Where’s the app for states other than California??? What a terrible excuse of a company.
App never works. I have tried to open my account on my laptop and my phone. Neither one works. I called the number on the app and that customer service doesn’t handle our coverage. Why would you put the wrong customer service number on your app??? And the insurance card customer service info is incorrect also. This app is horrible. So sad that this is our only choice.
No technical support. Repeated calls to any number I can find on the Ambetter website never results in finding someone who knows anything about the app. The last person I contacted said it clearly “didn’t even know we had an app”. The most basic function, logging in, does not work.
Very Bad App 👎🏼. Please, You guys do a better job with this app is not working at all. This is app does not have anything I don’t even know why they created a app like this because this not help in nothing al user like me. Or choose to recreate this app so the user can have a better understanding about the health insurance with the app.
Still not fixed.. Unable to log in, continue to have issues. I can’t believe in this time and age they haven’t resolved the problems with this app. It’s useless just taking up space on my phone. Something as simple as logging in to get basic information is giving me a headache, unacceptable please do better. I pay for a service that you expect me to pay for on time and you should be held accountable for providing an application that works.
The app doesn’t open.. This is a terrible app and looking at reviews it seems the company isn’t doing anything to fix the issue. It opens only to a white screen. I close it out and reopen to nothing. Very unprofessional. This issue has apparently been going on for a long time and the company has been complained to. I am not happy about this and hope they can fix the problem. SOON
Useless app. Frustrating, useless, not helpful, hanging Cant find right information cannot do payments and many times cant log into my profile and keep saying my data doesn’t match. they need to work hard on updating it.
Fairly useless app. You really can’t do anything in this app. can we at least get the ability to download our insurance card into our Apple wallet??? Oh bonus point for showing us who our primary care physician is
The App and website is useless. I am so disappointed. I have been a memeber sunce 2017 and they changed all my id information but never updated the website or the app with that information. I had to find out from my pharmcy and when I called healthnet. They told me to take a pen and write it down. My New id card was never mailed to me and I had to request it through the phone call. The app and new website still have the invalid old data which is useless. They charge me so much and their service is terrible.
I wish giving minus 5 stars. The app quality it reflects the health plan: garbage! The network provider on their website is outdated. I was hoping in the app would be updated but its worse. Its not possible even search for it, seriously?! Based on the reviews seems anybody cares...
Cfalori. HealthNet Health care in California is an outright joke and this app is the epitome of one of THE worst jokes a service company can play on its customer. I’m in complete agreement with the previous reviewer in that not only have they not migrated their customers login info from the 2017 system into their “new systems”, the new app doesn’t even open on any of our familie’s devices. We’ve gone so far as to uninstall and reinstall the new app three times since the new year in hopes there would be improvement updates and it still just does not work. The web portal is just as backward. The new group ID’s HN issued to our family for 2018 have caused nothing but confusion to not only our physicians, dentists and pharmacists, HN’s customer service ( and I use that term loosely) people are acting like keystone cops to try to navigate this quagmire. It is nothing short of chaos when contacting them for answers. Without exaggeration I can get as many different answers as calls put in to the system for the same exact question. I would like to see the top tier executives brought to DC to answer for their incompetence. They have to be aware of the problem, don’t they? If you have been experiencing the same difficulties please, please write a review. Let them know how you feel about the service. Thanks
Doesn’t work. Just tried to create a login and it doesn’t even pull the record. It only lets you add member ID with specific digits that do not match your card OR last 6 digits of your social. Neither worked for me. App is useless if it can’t even connect to your record.
Atrocious app. This is a horrible app that the company should be ashamed of. It has not been updated in several months. Successfully logging in is a real challenge and only very basic actions are available. I’m at a loss as to why the company would this is acceptable in any way.
Ambetter. You Guys started off ok at first! Now suddenly your pages are coming up blank! Whenever i gonin to tey to make a payment to pay my bill I CAN’T!! Not showing me where the option is for payment, and when YOU SLIDE TO CERTAIN PAGES IT’S Blank!! Fix all Bugs IV’E INSTALLED and UN-INSTALLED 3 TIMES! Still NO CHANGE!! Please FIX IMMEDIATELY!!
Does Not Work. You can’t log into your account. Just one of many problems with this insurance company. They’re websites and, now, this app has not worked at all. We may wonder if this company is even in business anymore. All they’re doing now is just robbing their clients’ money every month, let alone their health.
What did I expect. Says it updated minor glitches 6 days ago. Guess accessing the app wasn't one of them. Guess you get what you pay for. They also upped my monthly premium without notifying me. Good thing I prepaid and there was extra in my acct. hoping NOT to need this ins. group in the near future!!
Seriously?. This app is NOT working! We live in an age where everything we do is basically on some sort of mobile device. To NOT be able to navigate my health care info on my phone is just plain Stone Age! Where are all the tech savvy IT ppl who can put together a simple app that’s easy to navigate? I’m a little worried now that I switched from Sharp health care to HealthNet. I hope this doesn’t say anything about the health care Health Net provides!
Not working. This app does not work and neither in the browser. This app is untrustworthy because it makes me feel as if it collects data and my personal medical information. Please do something about this. No one at ambetter is replying to anything
Useless. Just signed on with Health Net and their letter says to use an online system of the computer. Of course, I go to the App Store to see if they have something for the iPhone. Had two objectives: 1. Sign up for Autopay and 2. Find my doctor. I’m clicking on find my doctor a tiny little dialog box pops up. I type in the city and my doctors name and nothing comes up and then I decided to have no filters except the city and still no doctors come up. So I give up and move onto auto pay, and the menus just have you go in a loop that goes nowhere. Complete fail HealthNet!
Bring the bulldozer out!. What a mess this app is! If I could I would give it negative starts! Who made this ?? First fire them then hire a new group to re-invent this app! Look at the competition they are miles ahead… its just sad a company this size and the app is so terrible smh
Doesn’t Work. I had the app downloaded for a month. I have tried to log in and it just won’t allow me to. However, this past week I’ve noticed the app just will not load. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app to cross out any reasons for it not working. I can confirm that the app still refuses to load.
Joke of an app. Lol I don’t know why I even tried to download after seeing its one star review and the stretched out logo as it opens up. After putting in my log-in info all I got was the loading circle. I actually put my phone down to wait and finished a whole 20 minute episode of Seinfeld. Still same loading circle. I’m deleting this app immediately.
Horrible. This app is by far one of the worst I have seen. It seems like no tested to see if it can actually be used. On an iPhone, the contents don’t fit the screen, the buttons are outside of the screen boundary, and the content moves around as it’s continually loading and unloading. I don’t know how this app was approved to be placed on the App Store. This app doesn’t even deserve a single star. We chose a HealthNet PPO plan thinking that the service will be better. Unfortunately, the service, choice of doctors, and most everything else has been equivalent to an HMO, or perhaps a bit worse.
Useless app. This system is so outdated. I was a part of a different health insurance that is a small company and they had a better app with a face ID login. To find providers with this app it takes you to a different page and its so annoying because it loads for every filter you put on and it takes forever to load. My other health insurances app was quick to the point. They really need to update their system. Also lately i have been having problems with looking for providers. The page is always blank. The only good thing that i like about their provider search system is their map view. Thats about it, besides that their whole system is trash.
Use Website Instead. This app is literally worthless. I thought it might have some value, but I was wrong and should have listened to other reviews. The website allowed me to save my insurance card to Apple Wallet when the app wouldn’t. Dev team: I’m sure this isn’t your fault, but try to get the business to let you add at least the same functionality as the website.
Stealing money and lying about it. I’ve check my bank account of September and it showed that I’ve paid for the month. Now there saying that I owe money still for October and again I’ve checked my bank account again it shows I’ve already paid for October . Ambetter do you what your doing is fraud and theft. Fraud is a federal law and theft is state law . Both carry’s 50 to life in prison.
Worst app EVER. Seriously, two years ago someone said this app is a joke and doesn’t open on anything.... and still 24 months later it isn’t resolved. That says how much they really care about customer service. Complete joke and to call them about it is even worse - dropped calls, I donate hold times... when I signed up they were extremely accommodating and helpful, now that I am locked in and paying money monthly (way over charging too for the crap silver “obummer marketplace plan”) they could care less about providing service. Plan for this app to sort of function correctly about 2% of the time and after that 98% it’s a blank white screen with their logo and then nothing more..... DON’T BOTHER DOWNLOADING IT. Log in online instead and pray that works..... And Health Net, how about you get some tech department on fixing this app to actually do what it was intended to do - for all the money you are taking in from your customers......
Great. I really love this healthcare. If it wasn’t for this healthcare I don’t know what my husband and I would have done. He was in hospitals good last two months with a pancreatic pseudo cyst that was big as two new born baby heads they had to do surgery. I tell you the only bills we receive was the small one like 20 dollars and one large one for 7000 ambulance ride☹️
Does not work. I can’t even get past the log in screen. That is IF and when the app decides to get past the splash screen which it seems to get stuck on most of the time. How a company can’t even get the most of basic functions to work is beyond me.
Worst App in Healthcare (Maybe the World). Why would a company launch an app this terrible? Absolutely bad for branding but even worse for the costumer. I hope all C-Level leadership has had their bonuses pulled for the last 5 years and ongoing until fixed. Shameful.
Piece of crap app. This app is 100% useless. Everytime I try to login I get error messages even after I reset the password. No matter what doesn’t work. Then you try to call customer support and I think a glass of lemonade was smarter than this person who had no idea about the app. If I could give them a zero I would. Been trying to login for hours now.
So many bugs. I downloaded this app to help me with my health care needs instead of going to the site to pay my bill or see who my doctor is. First, it kept giving me issues logging in and would undo any typing I did. By the time I got that to work, all I got was a greyed out loading screen. Years ago, I called customer service about the app and they did not even know there was an app. That just goes to show how much of a waste of time it is if the people that work there have no clue about it.
Completely Useless. So should have read the reviews before I downloaded. At least it’s free. The only thing I am able to view on the app is my name. THAT’S IT. Not my PCP, not my insurance card, not appointments… just my name. Why even bother having an app?
App doesn’t work, just like my coverage.. Just got my card finally 4 months after having coverage. Can’t even make changes to my account because app doesn’t launch. It shows the logo and then hangs at that point until I force quit it.
Not Useful At All. How do you take one of the most complicated most complicated items in any US citizens life like health insurance and make it worse? Give them this app. It is completely useless an absolute joke as any type of assistance. Even the payment function is not working properly which is the one thing I thing they would get right
Useless. Useless….as expected. But no surprises here, because basically all of Healthnet’s online infrastructure seems like it was created in 2005. This app basically shows your name and member id, and that’s it…nothing about coverages, nothing about usage, and the option to pay your bill says “blocked”. I was hoping the app would be slightly less cumbersome than their online portal that always makes me login and “email verify” myself twice. Covered CA should really have stricter scrutiny for health providers when it comes to their online/app access and usability.
Might literally be the death of me. As others have noted, the app doesn’t even open. With such a long stream of complaints about this issue, you would think the company would take some action to resolve this. Or at least respond. But this is what we should expect from a health insurance provider which routinely denies necessary coverage and often will inform doctor’s that coverage has been cancelled even when it hasn’t. I have been trying to address a possible cancerous growth for over a year and I only just last week was able to get it biopsied. A disease in which early detection and fast action are literally life or death issues - and I have had to call multiple times to get each one of the doctor referred tests and procedures approved. This app is essentially kicking all Health Net CA customers while we’re already down.
App Does Not Function. After I entered my credentials to login the app just continues to load but never makes it past the loading screen. The loading circle just continues to spin with no response. There are countless 1 start reviews here stating the same issue yet the app still doesn’t function properly. Fix the app or remove it from the App Store.
Disappointing and Irrelevant. This is a huge corporation with big budgets and you can’t get IT to put together a decent app for members? Please! Our member services calls get answered by people who don’t understand insurance and we’re better off doing things on our own. In today’s world, being mobile is crucial. Step it up already! How can you have such a bare bones joke of an app?! It’s absolutely useless.

Can’t open app. I’ve tried several times to open the app on my iPad and iPhone (both running iOS 13), to no avail. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Nothing works. HealthNet, take note: you need to fix this!
Can’t even log in. Did anyone managed to log in? Now I am serious worried about other service after the reviews.

Junk app. The app does not even let me log in, I keep getting an error message. This app is junk! How are we supposed to see our health insurance cards?!
Embarrassing. It would be less embarrassing if Healthnet had no app at all rather than put out an app that doesn’t work and for years do nothing to fix it. How can any company like that ever claim to care about its customers?

GARBAGE. Cant login with same account as online! Im sure this is all be design though. You have to try to make something this awful. I know because I'm a developer. I would rate it zero stars if i could.

What a joke!. I have no words for the person who designed it, programmed it and approved it!! How did they all achieved this worthless app and apple store approved it. Any developers even looking at all these comments?
App doesn’t work. I have been trying to pay my bill online. The app won’t open. When I enter my name birthdate, even iD member number on website it does not recognize me as a member. I have to jump thru hoops just to pay my bill. Awful.

Unsatisfied app.. I am really mad about service provider of this app. There is no fare to waste the time trying to log in, to manage te previous account, and work for nothing. If there is no other way to work in, better to remove the app or be apgrade asap.

This app is terrible. I just logged on and was looking for a doctor in my area. I was told that the “action you have taken is not allowed” and was blocked. Like what the actual F!!
Ridiculous. What kind of a company have their app down over 3 days for maintenance and counting. Useless to me so far. Hope their health coverage is better than their app
2025 and this is it???. Almost no functionality, it doesn’t let you see claims, benefits, or provide id cards for Apple wallet. It’s literally the worst app i have used in the last 5 years. The people who made this should be ashamed.
Horrible!. Horrible app! What’s the point of having an app that won’t even open? I’ve deleted and redownloaded multiple times-still nothing. I get a message saying to report the error but HOW if the app never even opens!?!
Not worth a star. When going in the app it gives me a white screen with nothing. Can’t get into my account for anything. This app should be taken down so no one waste their time
Stuck after login, spinning wheel. I tried multiple times, the app after enter the credentials fall in a loop with the spinning wheel. The application needs to be reviewed, is not possible you release a mediocre mobile app.
Ummmmm. Read a review from 4 years ago and it doesn’t seem like anything has changed with the app. Just downloaded it and it launches to a frozen screen. Nothing works. Lol. Good job team! Solid work! Hahahaha
Newest update the app doesn’t open at all. Previously for the past eight months, the app has been at least usable not great but OK. But now it won’t open at all.
When log in. When log in , its keep loading , what is this.? professional app does not even work
Worse App. This App doesn't work at all with all the money we pay and they can't have a decent Application for iPhone its a waste hopefully the developer's can do major updates so we can use this worthless application. I will give it a ZERO STARTS for sure.
Doesn’t work on iPhone or iPad. Downloaded app to iPhone and iPad. When I open app on iPhone it is blank. When i open app on iPad it provides a sign in area but says cant log in although i have no problem on my computer.
One star for a reason. Believe all the other reviews. This app has been out for four years and has yet to even load the Home Screen.
Won’t log in. Deleted the app after 5 minutes because it wouldn’t log me in. What even is the purpose of the app then if you cannot log in lol?
iTunes should take this app down. This app doesn’t work and I just realized that the app developer isn’t even the actual company of the insurance provider. There is another app that is made by the insurance provider and that one works.
APP Fails to Open. New Ambetter customer for 2023. I’ve downloaded the app on my iPhone and iPad. With both devices, the app never opens; it just continues to show the downloading circle, actively moving, but times out. As it is, I cannot use the app.
Still useless. Will not even load. Give an exception error to report, but then just never opens. Remove, delete and remove again just for good measure.
Stay Away. Downloading this app made me realize that I should switch providers. The app will not load and it seems like this has been the case for years.
Can’t log in. The app says to use the same account as your website account. I tried that. Won’t let me in. Then I spent ten minutes double checking on the website. All good. Tried again in the app. Won’t let me log in. #broke
Can’t login. I have tried several times but my login that works on the website doesn’t get me into the mobile app. I will delete it.
Unusable. The app won’t allow me go even put in my credentials before denying access. Takes the challenges of comprehending my insurance to another level.
Mother loads of jokes. This is so bad that you can’t even believe how incompetent this app is. I was never ever able to login to the app regardless of the device, platform, or operating systems. Enough said.
