Used to work until…. When adding my first series of numbers, the program worked fine. When I started to add a second series, the program crashed. I followed the instructions and still got the error. Eventually I was able to add the second series. Worked fine until today. One of the calls slipped through so I tried to update the blocked numbers and the program crashed. Now I can’t get to load any numbers. I’ll be happy to upgrade my rating if I can get this app to work properly. Until then, here come the unwanted calls (sigh)

I love this app. I've been having a great experience with this app. I have been getting spam calls from similar numbers with the same first part and only the last two digits varying. I can block all numbers in this range with the app, which has reduced spam calls from 10/day to 1 or 2. I currently have 100,200 numbers blocked. Thank you for this app!

Frustrated with Spammers. This app is a game changer, I purchased one other app but it had only 4 last wild card so still 999 possibilities. After installing this and with 7 wild card I no longer received any calls. I am so grateful because I was receiving 20+ calls in 8 hours

Works but buggy. It does what it is supposed to do but it does not allow to enter international numbers started with 011 which is about 20 to 30 % of all international numbers. When you try it insert +1 in front of number. I contact suppprt and response: probably bug ... and that’s it.

FINALLY. A simple app to effectively block area codes with no ads, changes to my carrier settings, no subscriptions or features I don’t need! It JUST WORKS! I’m so glad I found the developer’s reddit post. It’s a shame this amazing app is being buried by all these scam apps that sell your data to scammers instead of simply protecting you from spam calls. Please promote this app, in any way you can!

This app is awesome!! Truly incredible value. I have been getting harassed by spam calls non stop. I didn’t want to go with robokiller because it requires a monthly subscription. Number shield is a buy once and you’re done. You can block entire number ranges, entire area codes. It can even read your contacts (if you let it) so if you have contacts within the blocked range, those contacts won’t be blocked. Awesome app!

Truely works!. I was skeptical at first thinking this would be another app with bloated features that made claims of fixing a problem but didn’t. I gave this app a week and to my surprise; it ACTUALLY WORKS! Not only is it simple to use, it isn’t filled with garbage features. My thanks to the developer for this app, best $0.99 I’ve ever spent! The best. This application for me is the best. I get on an average 50-80 scam calls a day. To be able to use #### at the end blocks all calls from the scammers 100+ phone numbers they use to call from. Thank you for this awesome app.

Works great!. It works pretty good so far although one call did get through which I’m not exactly sure how that happened. Would be very cool if they could make it so that you can cancel a number pattern part way through the app’s blocking process. This way, if I change my mind, I can cancel and redo and not wait for the app to complete the process.

This app saved me from going insane!. I got a new phone # and immediately started getting multiple text messages daily for “Joseph”, after years of dealing with the late night texts waking me up to tell me if I “take a spoon full of this to have the best sleep ever”, I got this app! At some point I realized most of the text messages came from 1 certain state I’ve never been too and I know nobody in… with this app I blocked the entire state, I got a few other text after from other area codes, but I just clicked “report as junk” and now I almost never get spam text! Thank you so much!

Seems to have stopped the robocalls. Robocalls from a range (with the number increasing each call) stopped the day after I got this app. Seems pretty effective. Lots of FAQs in the app. The limitations people complain about are set by iOS, not the app. It’s Apple’s fault that there aren’t any better spam blocking apps on iPhones.

Revising my earlier review. The developer did contact me today and appears to care about his customers. I am hoping this app does the trick. There are way too many spammers and scammers out there trying to steal from us. Give this app a try. It does much more than similar apps that I have tried, and if it works as advertised, it will really fill a need.

Works but doesn’t help. I’m torn here. Ever since upgrading my phone I’ve gotten 5+ spam calls every single day. On the one hand, this app works for blocking numbers in certain formats. However, it doesn’t matter. It’s like the spammers know what I’ve already blocked and just use a different area code+first three. If we had enough “blocks” to be able to block a ton of area codes I think it would look better, but unfortunately with the limit there are just too many remaining options. As someone with a phone number from a state I haven’t lived in in over a decade, I would love to just block ALL numbers from that state that aren’t in my contacts. I think that’s the only thing that would really work and I would pay extra for that.

Effective and simple to use. This is the only app I’ve found that actually blocks spoofed numbers without me having to look at the phone and silence it. Other apps tell you the number is spoofed but the phone still rings. I put several variations of spoofed calls I’ve received into the app and it has virtually eliminated unwanted calls. I highly recommend this app!!

Weak support. I ran up against the Apple limit of 5 million numbers, and decided to delete one of the area codes and replace it with another. Once I tried that the app error out, and I have not been able to recover it since not withstanding having reached out to Support 24 hours ago with no response. There are some automated instructions to deleted and reinstall it, which I have done several times, with zero results I will say that up until the time that I tried to make the change, it was working

Gradually stops being effective. Worked well at first, but now it lets text messages through. Takes a long time to rebuild the block databases when you open the app. Don’t recommend purchasing this app. I submitted support ticket but never hear back.

Great app - get your settings right & you'll have no issues!. I've been using this for well over a year now... I was getting a bunch of calls that were not for my phone and a couple that I know I've told to not call my phone, but of course they'll still do it. The regular block function did ok but blocked people could still leave messages which defeats the point of blocking them. I don't want them calling my phone AT ALL. Enter Number Shield. Talk about 'you might as well give up and report the number as inactive' because you cannot get through NOR leave any messages. PERFECTION. Once you've got your settings lined up properly for the app to identify contacts within the app it works like a charm. I no longer receive a bunch of random calls & if one does magically get through, I just block it & reload my block list. This may happen once a month if that. Usually it's a random number but once you activate block and or blocking a similar sting of number patterns it's "SILAAAAANNNNNCCCEEEE PUNK!" Like Dragon Fly Jones, especially if they're using auto dialers. Get the app!

Great App!. This is a really great app. Spam calls have been significantly reduced. However, you can only block a maximum of 5 area codes completely. In my case, spammers have been using 7 different area codes. Wish I could block those 2 others as well. But Number Shield is still definitely worth it!

Gracie 222. This app just saved my sanity! A week ago I started receiving 25 spam calls per day. Of course, I tried the most popular and expensive robo killers which didn’t even work! One of them offered the neighborhood scam feature but continued to let calls through. I found this one in an Apple forum. It does exactly what it says. I’ve had peace and quiet since I installed it yesterday. Thank you!

Best app ever. I was overwhelmed with spam calls. I would ignore them as best I could but they still constantly interrupted me. Got this app and after a few weeks the calls have pretty much stopped completely. Not sure if they gave up or are just getting blocked but it really doesn't matter. Best $.99 I ever spent.

Great. I normally don’t do reviews on apps but I have to say this is a great. I think it’s better than robocaller. I love its simplicity when adding numbers. I was getting 15 robots a day. This app has reduce it to none. It actually blocks the number so it doesn’t come thru and this is what I was looking for. I don’t know who created this app but thank you so much

Good job and a question. This app works as it described, it will block phone calls by the number pattern. Just want ask, does it work with the other spam block app (e.g. Hiya) together ? does it matter in which order I place them in "call blocking and identification"? Thanks

Must Reload Constantly?!. This is a great solution for most spam. However, it is limited to 50 million entries. This is a limitation of the system and not the software. My gripe is it must reload after making any changes to contacts. Every time I open this App it wants to reload and therefore disabling my phone for about 25 minutes. Still worth the money (99 cents LOL), but you would think incremental selective rewrite would be better.

Easy to use and effective. The robo calls and sales calls have dwindled to a call every 6-7 weeks. This thing is almost miraculous in how it keeps my phone quiet now days. Love it. Easy to use and effective.

Well WORTH THE MONEY!!!. This app us worthy of 10 stars! Was getting up to 17 robo calls per day. Tried other (free) apps with little success blocking. This app looks for patterns. Down to almost none, mainly because local patterns I cannot block-Don't want block customers or potential customers.

Mostly Good, Somethings Not Good. Starting with the good: Blocks numbers of my choosing rather than a community database. Blocks up to 5 entire area codes (goodby DC). Blocks neighborhood spam numbers. And my favorite- Adds allowed numbers by wildcard (adds all numbers from a PBX, like my healthcare provider). Have not seen that anywhere else. And more - simple clean interface, no ads, no nagging to upgrade, etc. The not so good: Very slow updating when the list is large. Just adding or removing a single number takes too much time. I get the feeling that updates are done by “starting over”.

Works Great!. Had an annoying lending spammer calling many times a day from many different area codes. After buying and setting up number shield, haven’t received any more calls like this! Works great! Completely worth it. Buy it, you won’t regret it.

Great App…until it has to be reinstalled.. It will work for a week or two at a time and then ask you to uninstall and reinstall because it stops working. Then, you lose the complete list of numbers blocked and don’t have a chance to export the numbers before deleting the app. Add a cloud backup feature at least so if it needs to be reinstalled a backup can be restored.

Simple, powerful. This beautiful little app is so powerful. I have blocked two full area codes, in two easy steps, which have reduced my spam calls by 80%. I wish I had found this wonderful app a long time ago!

Great App. This is still one of the best cures for robocalls. I’m surprised it doesn’t get mentioned more in the press. However, I don’t get so many calls that I mind manually blocking these calls. What drives me nuts, however, are the calls from a range of numbers that are probably coming from the same entity. This app is perfect for this situation. I have been trying to keep the ranges down to a few thousand numbers because I think the developer said that Apple will only allow one million blocked numbers. No problem—this should do the trick. Did notice one glitch when setting up my iPhone X. The second number entered will keep the app loading. To fix this I just force quit the app, and all subsequent numbers entered fine.

Like the wildcards. First app I have found that lets me use wildcards to block numbers. Love it. Update: Developer is very responsive when you have issues. I was advised what to do to resolve the issue and it worked! My main concern was spoofed calls from 3 area codes that was ongoing for over two years. This is the only app I found to really fix this.

Best I’ve Found to Date. I have scoured the App Store for a call blocker that actually works. This is the best one I’ve found so far. You are able to block arrays of numbers based on the spam calls you receive while still letting contacts through. My spam calls have dropped to maybe 1 or 2 every 2-3 weeks. As I add more number ranges, calls continue to lessen. Blocked calls go to voicemail, so you are able to catch wanted calls that may not be in your contacts yet. Definitely recommend over any other apps currently out there.

Great concept but needs work. The app is a great idea but I don't see it doing anything additional for iPhone users than the default iPhone "Block Unknown Callers" does.. even when a number range is blocked, calls occasionally come through and it doesn't truly "block" the call.. it just prevents your phone from ringing and the spam callers get sent to voicemail, so VMs fill up fast. Lastly, adding number ranges can take a LONG time. It takes my app 6 minutes to block a 4-digit (i.e. last 4 numbers) number range now (brand new phone, no other issues on it) and you CANNOT use your phone while the numbers are being blocked. You have to sit there and wait for the spinning circle to go away. If you close the app / do anything else on your phone in the middle of it blocking numbers, it will restart the blocking all over when you open the app again. So just some UI issues and functionality that could be improved

Excellent app without the add on nonsense of other apps.. Edit: thanks that helps for adding numbers. Overall great app! I love that this is straightforward and simple. I tried robokiller and it’s embarrassing when a real call gets a response bot. I don’t need a subscription either. I love the focused effort here. In iOS 12 you can swipe on a recent call to add to spam list. I’d love that for this app.

It works. It blocks the calls that you tell it to block. Needs an option to cancel the “blocking numbers” process. It requires the phone to be on and the app to be open. Takes at least 15 minutes. I typed in a wrong number and now have to wait until the numbers have been blocked, then wait again to have the number unblocked, then wait again to have the correct numbers blocked. Ugh.

Worth Every Penny!. By far the best solution to block unwanted callers, robot calls, spoofed calls, and unsolicited sales calls. No other app I have tried actually works, not even the Hiya app. Thank you so much for this app! First day of use I was able to block an annoying call I get every morning from the same prefixed number at 8:30am with the last four digits always changing—no more!

Works and respects your privacy. Very easy to use. It helped reduce the bogus calls I get (or at least it reduced the distraction of getting bogus calls because they go straight to voicemail, and most are not leaving messages so less work for me). Adding new spam callers from the phone's Recent "missed calls" list via the app's "share" feature is great. Finally, I'm glad to see this app's privacy policy is clear: "Number Shield does not collect any personal information." and "Your contacts are never transmitted or collected."

Blocks area codes!. This is the only app that promises to block entire area codes. It’s the one thing that has been driving me crazy. Luckily I kept a phone number from an old area so now nobody should be calling me from there who’s not in my contacts. All other apps I know block only area + prefix, so all sorts of random prefixes still go through. Thank you! Please keep updating the app!

No notifications on Apple Watch some times. Overall like the app. Wished it would legit block all the numbers instead of just not allowing it to ring through. Anybody else have an Apple Watch and not get all the notifications. I’ve had apple mess with it, gotten a new watch, changed settings… so I’m wondering if it’s maybe this app

No more spam calls!. I was getting spam calls from numbers in specific area codes every day, multiple times a day. I have not received a single call since setting up this app. I also love that it is a one time purchase. Too many apps try forcing a subscription. I highly recommend this app!

The app works if you configure it properly.. UPDATE: This app all of a sudden stopped working. I’m getting this full screen error: “A problem occurred with your phone’s call blocking system. Try waiting a few minutes and then tap Retry”. I followed the instructions from the app to fix the problem, including removing the app and installing it again, but still no luck. I need to find a new app that gets the job done. Spammers everywhere. === The app works as advertised by the developer, but you have to first configure couple things in your iPhone Settings to make it work. Inside the Messages setting go to “Unknown & Spam” and turn on the toggle ‘Filter Unknown Senders’. Then tap on the Number Shield in order to select this app to filter your messages, otherwise the app won’t be able to block matching number patterns. Make sure to tap on “Enable” when Apple ask you to confirm your selection in a popup. That’s it. Good bye notifications from spam texts! You will find the spam messages inside the Junk folder, and from there you can block and report the numbers as Junk to Apple and your phone carrier.

Great for blocking area codes. Does exactly what it says it does. I like the ability to use wildcards, as it easily allows me to block entire area codes that I know I won’t ever be getting any legitimate calls from. Option to always allow contacts is great too.

Best Call Blocker for Neighborhood Spoofing. Best $0.99 I have ever spent. No more neighborhood spoofing calls. I was part of the equifax data breach so all my information including my phone number was leaked. I was getting 15 spam calls a day, most of the neighborhood spoofing (first 6 digits of your phone number). I was at my wits end until I read about this app. When you put your phone on do not disturb you can see missed calls from numbers you have blocked using this app. I am a night shift worker so whenever I wake up from sleeping I always see at least 1 neighborhood spoofing call in my call history which reminds me how well this app is working.

Fantastic. I don't usually write app reviews, but had to for this one. I was suddenly getting 15+ spam calls a day from numbers with the same first six digits. I would block one number, then continue to get more spam calls from different numbers with the same first six digits. With this app, I was able to block all numbers with this same six digit prefix, and FINALLY peace at last. $0.99 to block pesky spam callers for good? Yes please.

Limit on how many numbers you can block. I got this app a couple of months ago and it has worked great at blocking numbers from area codes outside my state. The app is slow while adding new numbers to block but it does work. My biggest issue is that the app only lets you block a large but finite amount of phone numbers. I think it was something like 5 million numbers that you can add but I really wish there weren’t a limit on this. Please update the app so there is no limit on the amount of phone numbers that we can add the blocked lists.

Simple and Perfect!. I have multiple phone numbers that route to my iPhone, and every number has the neighborhood spoof calls that were driving me crazy! This app is so simple and perfect, no more annoying spoof calls! Thank you for such a simple and great app!

Life Saver. I have never reviewed an app before, but Number Shield has been a life saver for me. I was getting non-stop solicitation calls from numbers from the same prefix (same as my phone number). It was getting insanely frustrating. This app has completely blocked those calls. Thank you!

Best blocker. Updated 2024: still working. I never even know it’s there. It just does its job! Original review: I’ve been using this app for several years and it works great. You have to pay attention to setting it up but afterwards it just does its thing. I’ve tried several of the big-name blocker apps but this one is better. The developer is responsive if you have an issue or question. I wish I were more of an influencer so I could help it get more recognition! Thanks to the developer!!

Best Robocall App I've Used!. I've tried various robocall apps. Most of them require you entire omen number at a time. The problem is, as I have discovered, you can enter a number, but the software the robocalled use, will quickly use another similar number to avoid your blocked number and they'll call you again and again and again. In particular, I've had a lot of trouble with robocalls that originated with Texas or Washing DC phone numbers (I'm in CA). Using Number Shield's wild cards, I was able to quickly block all calls originating from these areas. I no longer have to deal with those annoying spam calls!

WOW. Spam has dropped a lot. So this may sound bad, but I have only had 23 spam calls for the first 20 days of May, but that is down from over 60 a month. I usually get 2-3 a day from similar exchanges. Now I block them and my spam calls are a third of what they used to be. International spam has completely stopped. Great program.

Doesn’t work. I’ve followed all the steps and numbers that i have blocked still get through instead of being blocked.

Best App to eliminate scam calls. I was getting so many scam calls everyday with spoofed numbers. This App stops them all and I never have to stress about scam calls. It's the best, and support is just amazing. Thanks Alan.

Blocking not working. Keep getting a call from blocked number range. Obviously app doesn’t work to block those spam calls.

Works in Australia. Seems to be working so far. Initially I still received the calls when I entered the numbers directly. But sharing the contacts with the app after receiving a scam call seems to work.

works well in AU. possibly the most useful app… works well - extends blocking through use of wildcard on both sms & calls, contacts excluded. A must for all - get this one not the paid ones. Extremely highly recommended - fight back against scammers

Just works!. I was at the point of changing my phone number after being relentlessly bombarded by scam phone calls... then I found Number Shield. It works perfectly to block number patterns that scammers use to bypass your phones call blocking defences. Customer support is also excellent and my teething problems were resolved with a smile.... and yes.. it does work in Australia. Highly recommended.

Doesn’t block enough scammers. I constantly get calls from uk in Australia. The number of scammer numbers far exceeds what this app can block, rendering it useless... have had 100s of calls per day for last 3 days from different uk numbers On the hunt for an app that works!

Reload. Great app but man those scammers are persistent. I’m still having to reload the same numbers most days. ### ### doesn’t seem to be working as well as I’d hoped.

IT DOES NOT WORK PLUS BAD SUPPORT. Informed the app support the block numbers can come through still. But there is no support provided even screenshots were sent when they requested. DO NOT BUY!!

Great apps. I received so much overseas spam calls everyday for couple weeks. Although I block and decline them all, their still keep coming in until I installed this app which stop the hassle and troubles . Thank you! Much appreciated and grateful.

Not working. The app is not moving blocked numbers to voicemail any quicker than the system will anyway if a number rings without being picked up. I expect blocked numbers to go to VM by at least the second ring but failing that by say 5 rings. I’ve tried reloading the blocked numbers as the instructions say but still not working. I’m feeling like I have wasted my money on this. It’s a shame as would be a great app if it worked.

Edit: fixed!. I get about 5 calls a day from an ever changing number besides the first digits. So I’ve blocked every number starting with those first 4 digits and they still get through? Am I supposed to include the area code or something? Edit: went to the number shield settings inside my phone setting. Problem solved! Thanks guys for an affordable solution

Waiting for a call to test.... I received 6 spoofed calls from the Melbourne 03 8XXX XXXX area in the past 2 hours, single ring then hang up. Different number each time. Still waiting for a call to test, but bought this after seeing the developer’s mention of it on a StackExchange thread about wildcard blocking. 10,000,000 potential numbers blocked is impressive, and the wildcard function is fantastic. Only problems I had - the UI is too tall for an iPhone 5/SE - the keypad to enter a number overlaps half the text field of the non-scrolling page where you enter the number, so you can’t tell if there’s anything below the text field, and you can’t dismiss / recall the keypad to see. Also, my phone ran out of storage during generating the block list, which the app said required resetting the entire phone. Deleting the app, clearing some space, then reinstalling the app was a less catastrophic solution.

It works in Australia!. I have a work issued phone that was getting hammered by scammers ringing from overseas at all hours of the day. They’d ring for 3-10 seconds then hang up. The scam is you call them back and charge your phone account like an adult service call even though there’s no one on the other end. Tried everything else and many call blocker apps simply wouldn’t work on Australian networks. When I asked, the network provider said sorry, can’t do that because it’s on a corporate plan! That sound you heard at that moment was my head exploding in anger and frustration. But this one works and allows you to block large volumes of numbers. I have over 5 million international numbers blocked. I also haven’t had a dodgy call since. Well worth the money and my sanity.

App frozen. I live in Australia where phone numbers are configured with a two digit state or area code, followed by eight digits of the phone number. All landline numbers fit this pattern. I wanted to block all calls from the 03 area code. The app only allows me to put in seven wild cards, not eight, so I put in 03 9### #### 03 8### #### I was going to work my way down, so I then entered 03 7### #### and half way through saving this sequence, the app quits and closes. Any time I open the app now, it tries to complete that save, and at about 25% done, it closes. So it’s now in a loop that won’t allow me to do anything other than open the app. I’m disappointed as this app seemed like it had good potential. Any advice or fix from the developers welcome. I messaged them via their site but no response. 😟

This ain’t it :(. So, these calls are all still coming through. You just don’t see the missed calls or notifications for them. They are able to leave a blank voicemail and while I’m at work they’re filling up my vm inbox to max capacity with blank vms which means 1. I can’t receive any legit vms because inbox is full, and 2. I still have to call into my vm inbox and delete all of the spam voicemails! All this is doing is hiding the calls so you don’t actually have to see the missed call notification. That is literally all it does. These calls still get through to your phone, they can leave a voicemail, they can still call you! Meh. Misleading and not much help.

Crying with happiness. I’ve had this app a total of 3 hours and I want to cry from pure joy. I’ve been getting relentless calls from a 499 number for the past couple of months and it’s driving me crazy. Not today satan!

Just what I needed !. Started getting a Lot of 'ping call' scam calls from one international country - 11 digits including the country code - the first 7 digits were always the same but the last 4 digits were different on every call. So, blocking each number individually wouldn't stop them. Being able to block the range of all last 4 digits with this App stopped the calls. Thanks !

Customer. This app works better for what I had expected. It will block a lot of numbers. On occasion you may need to reload your blocked list but that’s just a push of a button and for the price you can’t go wrong. Thank you!

There is a limit to the amount of numbers you can block. Bought the app. Tried to add 5 area codes that normally i receive lots of spoofed scam calls from but the app told me there was a limit to the amount of numbers i can block. The limit did not seem to be anywhere in the documentation i could find. Will be requesting a refund.

Works but limited. Works as advertised. Only problem is it’s limited in how many people can be blocked. While 50 million numbers seems like a lot, in reality that’s a whole 5 area codes. I have no need to be contacted by people in most provinces so I’d like to block all their area codes. But some provinces have multiple area codes. Some cities have multiple area codes. I saw the developer mention it’s an iOS restriction. I was unable to find the restriction in the developer portal? Further there are similar apps I won’t name that allow wildcard blocking. However unlike numbershield those apps don’t support sms blocking which is where a lot of my issues are coming from (spam texts)

100% good app. I bought the app three days ago, I’m waiting to see if It can black spam call, if it really work I’ll give 5 star, if not working I’ll give one star. After three days test, it really worked for blacking area code numbers. I tried many different spam call block apps and it didn’t work, but this one is 100% worth of money. I would recommend to my friend even if this app is $10. Is still worth to buy. Is one time payment, no in app purchases. Thank you for app developers.

Straightforward and Flexible. For a one time nominal fee I am now able to block patterns of numbers (scammers seem to call me from my own area code and exchange in an attempt to fool me into believing I know them). It works like a charm and even allows me to whitelist my contacts so I don’t block people I know via a range. I use this in combination with another similar app that comes preloaded with known bad numbers. The other app wants a subscription to add ranges of blocked numbers… No thanks, I will stick with this app as it is very reasonably priced!

Phone block. Attempted to block Dallas Texas 3 times but they still come through. Don’t know anyone in Texas.

Five Stars. Fabulous app that gets the job done! I have no complaints, I used to get unbelievable amounts of spam calls from all around the world and being able to block entire ranges easily has fixed most of that problem. Thanks!

An error occurred everytime.. Tried to contact support and never get back. Wasted money. Don’t get. Everytime when I add numbers they will take forever to get to 80-90% ish and then tells me there’s an error try again. Tried so many times doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money.

Need more wild cards. Been getting a lot of scammer calls from China and this app does not have enough wild cards to match their patterns. Can you please add more? Thank you!

Can't block area or country codes. Realized after buying this that it only supports 7 wildcards. I've been getting spammed by 8 digit phone numbers with an additional 3 digit country code. Sadly can't just block the whole country with this app.

It Really Works!. I thought it was a gimmick, but we were getting really desperate since we've been getting hammered by spam callers. It was especially bad for my daughter who was getting about 22 to 25 spoofed calls a day. Since we installed this app. My daughter got one spoofed call from another area code that she had not entered into the app, and I have not received any calls at all. This thing really works, get it!

Does not work. App only blocks 7 wildcards and will not let be block all numbers from the UK. I have tried contacting support to ask for help and I never get a response. Waste of money.

Blocks spam calls by pattern. This is just what I needed! Most spam calls spoof my number prefix. Too bad Apple did not add this filtering so this app does the job perfectly

Impressive. Actually delivers!. I’ve tried a number of call blocking apps because of spam calls from autodialers. My expectations were low at the start, but it ended up actually working. Totally worth the cost of the app. Well done, would recommend.

Freezes saying blocking numbers. Tried making a rule to block an area code and now it just hangs saying ‘blocking numbers’

It works!. Successfully blocks all my robocalls since I use the app to block entire area codes.

Is It Working. The blocking of these unwanted calls and texts are needed. We have several examples of numbers still being delivered. Exact numbers and full area codes which are previously blocked have come through. Many texts and numbers are blocked so we continue to use the App.

Slow to load, doesn’t block area codes. I still get silenced calls from area codes I’ve blocked and the app takes several minutes to load before I can add a number to the block list.

Perfect. Simpler and more intuitive than competitors. Other apps also use a subscription model. Love that this is a one time, reasonable price. Perfect, single purpose app that simply does what its meant to.

Very annoying to add numbers to block. The application automatically begins reinstalling all blocked numbers when you add a new one. It gets really, really bad when you have millions of blocked numbers. This is stupid, you should be able to add as many new numbers as you want at one time and trigger a rebuild only when you’re done.

A beautiful day!. Finally I can block all the scum that has been calling me on spoofed numbers on my local exchange. Why can’t AT&T prevent spoofed calls in the first place?

Great spam call blocker. I love this app. It allows you to block individual numbers or entire exchanges. It has dramatically reduced the number of annoying spam and robo calls on my cell phone.

Effectively blocks ranges of numbers. But still allows call from your contact list.

It stop calls but text still get through. Very annoying!. I am willing to pay for an app if it works. Why do text still get through?

My blocked numbers still come through. I have blocked entire series of numbers such as 1+(346) ### #### and 1+ (646) ### #### and they still come through in my texts (and my blocked texts button is on). Still getting spam texts especially. My ATT phone automatically blocks spam calls… Not sure if this app does what it claims

Slow to download blocked numbers. Also I am not sure that it is working as there is no feedback when something is blocked. Even if it is only a monthly report on the number of calls blocked would be nice.

Got it now. Amending my earlier review below. Now I get what the purpose of the app is and it accomplishes that. Thanks for your response. Doesn’t really “block” numbers it just doesn’t let them ring. I still get voicemails from the spam numbers. If I’m doing something wrong I’d be happy to amend my rating.

More spam calls after download. I think it would be a bit insane to have a app on the market that is sold as an ad/spam/bot blocker but is actually a company who collects your phone number and sells it… but after downloading this app I started getting 2-3 times the amount of calls/text as I was… call me crazy but there is nothing saying otherwise in this situation. Beware buyers… I’d like a refund

Blocks. Sometimes a blocked number gets through, but not too often.

Constantly getting error messages. This app is very frustrating to use. First I got error messages and followed the instructions without luck. Tried deleting the app and it happened again. Tried reinstalling the app and resetting my phone and now there’s a new error. Impossible to use and not worth it.

Perfect!. Simple... Allows blocking of any combinations, allows voicemails to still come thru in case it's a real call. Well done developer! Highly recommend

Works like a charm.. My spam call frequency has dropped by probably 3/4 since I started using the app. Most of the spam calls I get now are 800 numbers and I’m loathe to do a blanket block on those.

i never write reviews. this app is truly worth the price and is a lifesaver. i got calls daily from a few different area codes and i would block each new spoofed number every time. i was irritated and didn’t want to keep doing that, and i found this app— since then, literally no calls at all.

Stopped working after two weeks. Worked great for the first two weeks and then completely stopped blocking all of the numbers on my block list. I have doubled checked that Do Not Disturb is not on, enabled expanded blocking, and reloaded the block list several times. Nothing works. It’s basically useless now. Very disappointed.

Deceptive. Gave them the benefit of a second then third try. I followed ALL their instructions and showed them screenshots. They don’t bother to respond. This product DOES NOT WORK. Not at all. I get the exact same amount of spam texts from the exact same area codes as before, even though Number Shield says they’re blocked. Big waste of time and reasonable hopes. Boo Boo Boo

It works. I have been getting relentlessly robo called for weeks. This app put a stop to it.

Stopped working after a week. The app worked like it was meant to for about a week. Then the app glitched and it stopped blocking calls all together. Customer support told me it’s a glitch between the app and iOS. Only solution was to factory reset my phone. Not what you want from a paid app. Looking for another one.

Works some of the time. This app works about 90% of the time. Blocked calls still get through even when expanded is activated

It works!. This is like the 5th or 6th call blocking app I’ve tried and the first one that actually works. Sure it sends spam calls to voicemail but that’s ok. The phone doesn’t ring and that’s what I wanted. Awesome!!

It’s ok but should be free. While this app works great at stopping the calls from coming through to your phone. They’re still allowed to leave voicemail messages so now you’re just going through your voicemail and deleting 10-12 spam voicemails a day.

Not supported. App worked flawlessly for about 3 months. After that, it just showed an error which was impossible to fix. Support recorded I should update my phone followed by deleting and reinstalling the app. I did that, which didn't work. Next recommendation I received was buying a new phone. App would be 5/5 if it worked.

Requires Full Reset of Phone and Hijacks your phone. This app “hijacks” your phone when you add in a range of numbers to block, taking sometimes up to 30 minutes to finish. During that time, you aren’t supposed to do anything with your phone or the screen. You have to leave the app up. Also, I still get spam texts from numbers I’ve blocked. And WORST, the app just told me it has an error and the only way to resolve the error is to do a FULL RESET on my phone. No thanks. This was a waste of my money and I think they are scammers just like the ones we are trying to block.

Waste of money... doesn’t block calls. Not only do you have to manually enter the numbers to be blocked... it doesn’t actually block the numbers, it sends callers to voicemail... and in turn they keep calling. As well, says it will block neighbors and doesn’t do that either. Several calls with the neighbor preset fixed get through as a normal call.

Blocked 12 million spam numbers but their still coming through. I have blocked over 12 million numbers but I’m still getting calls. I have blocked the numbers 877-xxx-0000 through 877-xxx-9999 but I’m still getting their calls. I bought this thinking this would solve my problem but it’s not doing anything it says it would do. I have this and I also bought Hiya Premium.

Wow.. Best dollar I’ve ever spent. Really works. The dozens of calls I would get each week from numbers with variations on the same first six digits...suddenly gone! This app needs more publicity.

Not ready for primetime. The product was modified after I purchased it to limit the numbers one can block. The app uses an inordinate amount of resources and takes almost an hour to update if one changes ANY contact. Deleted but unfortunately too late to get a refund.

Working for some time. Developer is trying fix my issue after i remove it and tryed re-install it . The database of 1.5 gigabytes was in my iCloud space. So, after I clean my iCloud space I am unable to add and number to block. I have no idea if those number that I add before was active or not

Blocks calls but not text messages. We still get hundreds of text messages from 675 and 676 area codes

Selection range. Wondering if this app literally saves all numbers in the blocked range, or rather uses intelligence similar to refer query based on given criteria. Not sure why the app takes so long to set a range of numbers in that “Blocking Numbers” screen. Wish it was well designed.

Blocks whole ranges of numbers!. Once i enabled text filtering in settings, messages, unknown and spam and selected number shield. all number ranges i added were permanently blocked.

Doesn’t block spam callers from leaving voicemails. So it doesn’t do essentially half of what it needs to do. But, at least this specific spam caller company doesn’t interfere with my music while I’m driving 6 times a day anymore.

Wow!. I’m not sure why this app hasn’t gotten more recognition. Absolutely works! My ‘missed call list’ from unwanted callers has easily been reduced by >75%. If the phone companies can’t stop robo-dials, this app sure can!

App takes forever to add. Every time I try to block a number, I have to wait for the system to complete blocking numbers. It takes minutes for the system to complete. So bad, I’m going to delete the app and look for something else. Even as I write this review the program is about 25% complete!

No longer supported?. The last update to this app was over a year ago. It used to work great; I could put in partial numbers with wild cards and it would ockyhe entire series, which is important! But just recently I tried to block a new number series and I got an error saying in order to update the block list, I would need to reset my iPhone! No go….

App is not working. The app is not working it’s giving me an error I emailed support with no response I paid money for this ??
