Well made but no content. All of the mechanics of this game are well made, and I like the idea of having an upgrade system in this genre. However, after you’ve played your first 2-3 minute game you’ve pretty much seen all of the content there is. The upgrades allow you to play longer, and the planets allow you to go deeper, but there is never an inkling of variety or new content, it’s just more of the same with slightly different colors. It’s still kind of fun because the mechanics are well done, but not really worth the money.

Charming, simple, well worth it. The game has some charm, the sound effects and music are very good. There’s a real satisfaction when you get those balls bouncing around and the upgrade mechanics keep it fresh for a bit longer. Not without its quirks and flaws here and there, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Quite fun but the endgame could use a bit more.. The journey up to beating the game is addictive fun. Once you reach the end though it peters out. An Idea, once you’ve spent all the crystals you can maybe swap them out for temporary power ups. Chain lightning, multiball, drillball, etc.

Fun experience!. As many have said, yes, it’s short. It’s a very fun game while on the go or if you’re craving a game that can completed in a few hours. I found it challenging at times, especially once I first started playing but once I maxed out all my upgrades, it was pretty easy. That being said, the game is beautiful, the sound effects are very pleasing, and the music is good. I’d highly recommend this amongst all your others games on iPhone! Hope more levels/gameplay changes are on the way!

Great fun!. I didn’t love it at first, but after a long flight it really grew on me and I was hooked. Has a great balance of strategy and random chance. Figuring out the angles reminded me a lot of playing pool. It’s a mix of pinball, pool at Tetris. My only negative is that it (ironically) lacks a bit of depth. You are pretty much doing the same thing the entire game (but with more balls). I would have loved to have seen a few more mechanics introduced as I progressed like combos, power ups, etc.

Very enjoyable, but a little short for the price. Holedown is very fun to play. The controls are simple, the art is simple (yet beautiful), and the sound is pretty good; however, this game took me very little time to complete. The worlds are cool and all, but they all feel the same. This would only be 3 stars if there wasn’t an endless mode included. GREAT BUT SHORT

Nearly perfect. This is an amazing game, it’s incredibly simple, yet incredibly complex, I only have 3 problems, price is a little steep, 4 dollars is a lot for this kind of game, 2 dollars is more reasonable, you can only mute the music, you can’t mute the sound, and lastly, this is more of a bug, I lost my progress and had to start over, still fun tho

No Restar Button. Yes, the game is kind of addictive, but there isn’t a restart button, which means that you have to finish the current game your playing, so if by accident you select a planet, star, planetoid or whatever you have to finish the current game or lose on purpose. If you want more balls, more moves or another level, again, you need to finish the current game or lose on purpose. But the worst happens when your current game freezes, kind of. Everything is still working but the ball freeze; so you can change the settings turn off the music, the sound, the language but you cannot restart the game, no matter if you close the game, even if you turn off your device, the game is unplayable. Your only option is to reset the game, which means that you will lose all your progress and achievements, you have to start all over again.

Super fun and addictive. This game is perfect for short spurts, but I find myself wanting to play “just one more” (which turns into 10 more, LOL). It’s optimized for large phones, the file size is small, the graphics are awesome, the controls intuitive. It’s perfect for when you want something fun and lightly challenging and not mind-bending. You do have to think, but it’s light strategy with some luck involved. It strikes a great balance. No ads. No crazy IAPs. I heartily support developers like this, there aren’t enough out there. Thanks for a great game! This will be staying on my phone!

Agree with the reviewer chakvoo. Great game and a great idea and theme for a game, but it’s way too short and has no replay value and incredibly lazy and boring level design. If you’ve never played the new style of aim and shoot brick breakers like the millions of free ones on the App Store, you will probably think this game is a blast to play, but if you played those kind of games a bunch, you might be pretty disappointed.

Good but losing progress for no reason is terrible. Fun until you lose all progress for no reason. Played for three days then it reset on it’s own. If you don’t mind paying for a game that erases your progress then this game is for you. It’s a shame since the free games give you limited turns/lives unless you pay the iron price for more. Sometimes I feel like we can’t win

Addicted. I’ve played a whole ton of this game. I love it. I do wish there was another level to it though. I’m at the end and have nothing else to do but aim for high scores. Perhaps a challenge mode? Anyway, great stuff.

Great game, still has room to grow. I love the game, it’s a game I find myself playing “just because”. I just wish as others have said...power ups!! Also I have 9347 crystals hahaha. I need something to spend it on

Love it but needs more features added.. Needs ability to start at deeper starting depth on Black hole. Takes forever to challenge high scores over 1,000 depth. More planet worlds need to be added to keep continued play interesting and challenging. Acquired items also do not sync when going from one machine to another (e.g. iPhone to iPad)

Great Game- Too Short. It’s a sad thing, when I finally find a fun mobile game that’s not gouging me for micro transactions but it’s about as long as a movie. This game is maybe two hours long at most, if you get into he hang of how it’s made. After that, there’s no end reward or anything. Just a final ‘infinite mode’ to waste time on. Disappointing.

Great Game- could use a little more content.. Found this because of NorthernLion and bought it right away. Pretty fun and addicting. I would love to see more content out of it. (Higher levels, different solar system, perks, idk)

Better than Ballz. I love this charming indie spin on the “ballz” formula. Familiar enough to scratch the dame itch but unique and different enough to be well worth the price of admission. The unlockables, upgrades and high replay value make this a hard one to put down! Get it!

Enjoyable but meh, not worth the price. The play style of Holedown is solid! I love to aim the line at different angles and watch the onslaught of balls Ricochet off of everything, it’s satisfying! What’s not satisfying though is the 3 hours I spent going through the games worlds. They have an endless world however there is no sense to play because there is no variety in the abilities you purchase. Plus the boss battles at the end of each world are just the exact same boss but with a higher number to bring down to defeat it. Ugh! That’s lazy. You guys could’ve made them different shapes, or have them move around or SOMETHING! Rather than the same circle of doom at the end of every level. This is definitely NOT worth $4 you all got greedy, this is a $.99 cent game up and down the board unless you have new worlds and abilities planned for the future. Shame really, because it feels really great to play, oh well.

Fun. This is a great game and my go-to when I have a few minutes. However, on the endless mode, the difficulty really needs to change. Start easy then get harder. I don’t know why I can have up to 99 balls because it’s impossible to get far enough in endless to use that many. More levels would be great but I would really like to see the endless mode just get progressively more difficult rather than have blocks with 300 hits right off jump street.

Fun but Too Few Levels. Really liked this game! Graphics are nice and music/sounds are pleasing. My only complaint is that I was able to finish all the levels too quickly and now only have the black hole level, which isn’t as fun.

Needs more content and a restart option. Pretty fun little arkanoid clone. There definitely should have been more levels, the game is way too short (gas planet, comet, dwarf star, plenty of potential level names). Also needs a restart level option. Yes I saw the dev response with the gimmicky workaround. If you know people want it and it’s an easy fix, just add it in properly already.

Simple little game. Simplistic, charming graphics, a cute worm (?) in the bottom corner of your screen and fun music and sound effects makes this a very enjoyable game. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long to beat it and once you’re finished there isn’t much to do except for the endless level at the end which gets boring pretty fast.

Yes please!. I've never written a review before. Thought I'd finally do one. This is a solid little game. Mechanics are easy enough for even my 3 year old to use. Game play is very satisfying. Only compliant is the price tag. If I hadn't read a review for the game online that boast about this gem, I probably would've past it by. Only hopes for Holedown in the future-More updates. Once you've beaten it-Not much replay value. Few more planets, upgrades, etc. would make the coin worth it. Keep up the great work!

Needs more diverse gameplay. This game is pretty fun the campaign took me about 4 hours to beat but after that there isn’t much to keep the player engaged. Sure there’s an endless mode but it’s just the same concept but without an end goal. The game price, I would say, is a little greedy (you are practically paying for a premium version of many free brick breaker games that are already out there) and I think there needs to be more worlds that introduce in game power ups, currently the only in game power up is the purple currency used to buy upgrades. I think there should be more upgrades in the blocks that you break that give you advantages while playing. Although I almost guarantee this game won’t be updated to add more content I think it desperately needs it to make the game more worthy of its price. I also understand that the developers think that they have a $4 price point standard for each of there games but even though these games look well polished they need more content to justify this “standard” This whole review was poorly put together and probably sounds like a poorly thought out rant but oh well 🤪

The best thing since Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts. Wow! This is the most sweetly addictive game I’ve played this year. I was skeptical of trying it at first. It just didn’t look like something I’d love. After seeing so many rave reviews, I decided to give it a try. So glad I did. I’ve finished the main game, but still can’t stop playing. The physics — and surprising amount of strategy — have got me hooked. I only hope the devs will create more add-on levels. Brilliant stuff. ❤️

Good gameplay, poor planning. If you like bouncers, you’ll like this. The gameplay is great and I loved the idea of buying your power ups as you go to unlock new worlds. But after an hour or so of play you’ve unlocked everything there is to unlock and the endless “black hole” level is basically pointless because the blocks start off too high to get very far and you can’t continue to buy the Starting Balls power up even though you’re still earning crystals. What’s the point of earning crystals forever if there is nothing left to buy to help you?

Not worth 3.99(or however much). This game is fun and definitely one of the better ballz type games. It sorely lacks in different game mechanics and is not worth 3.99. The only mechanic is aiming the balls and upgrading them, nothing else. For 3.99 it should have interesting concepts as you level. There is also not enough content. For the price there are about five worlds,(and one endless world) each taking about 30-35 minutes to complete. I did find it enjoyable, but at most this game should cost 1.00.

Addictive, short play. I can’t stop playing. Amazingly simple concept, done well. Great sounds. Immediate gratification for a well placed shot. You can play for 30 seconds, put it down, and come back whenever you like for more.

One niggle at end. I really like this game. However, I’m at the endgame now, with everything unlocked, and having to sit through it counting every gem I get when there’s no longer any reason even to keep track is frustrating. When I die I just want to plunge back in.

Great game. Not optimized for current screens.. Holedown is a satisfying combination of peggle, pachinko, and strategy. But it is simply unacceptable to release a fully paid premium game in 2020 that is still not optimized for, now three year old, screen standards. Having a small usable play area, with a third of my screen completely unused with empty brown borders, is constantly frustrating; Especially given the aspect ratio of this game. The bordered areas are not even touch activated to start controls. Causing the game to not only be visually small, but also requiring you to control using the middle of the screen making it unnecessarily difficult and uncomfortable to play.

2 hour 5 Star. This is hands down a 5 Star game for the first 2 hours or so. After that, you’ve essentially beaten it. The final level is an endless blackhole....which is fun and all, but by the time you get to it, you can no longer upgrade your starting shots to actually compete. Eventually you’ll just run across a puzzle piece that is numerically impossible to defeat. For the full price of this game there needs to be more levels, more shapes, more Upgrades....more something.

With depth, but not enough.. With the recent rise of ball bouncers on mobile (thanks in no small part to an absolute onslaught of advertising for these sorts of games), when I read Holedown’s description of “A ball bouncer but with some depth”, I was intrigued. And indeed it does have more depth compared to many ball bouncers! It felt less like I was just trying to make the same ideal shots over and over and that I had some strategy in my gameplay choices, but alas; the feeling does not last. Pretty quickly you’ll get to the “end” of the game which is an endless level, and very few upgrades left to purchase. The game should have had so much more than it did, and it’s a shame that the devs appear to have abandoned this game.

Great fun if you want some mental exercise!. Holedown is a simple puzzle game that balances your own strategic thinking skills against run-based roguelite progression systems to create a casual, yet very fun and fulfilling experience. The gameplay, which is best described as a hybrid between Breakout and Tetris, allows you to dominate the game the more you use your brain, while also making things easier via upgrades between runs if/when you find yourself struggling. It’s a very smooth and addicting game loop that never grows stale for the duration of the game. It’s worth far more than it’s minuscule asking price, and easy to recommend.

Really fun!. This game is fantastic! My wife and I are really enjoying it. I downloaded it last night and have been playing for hours today. This is an incredibly high quality game, from the gameplay to the art, animations, sound effects, and music. I’m really impressed that a small team can build something so beautiful, fun, and addictive. Also the fact that you just pay once, and there are no ads or in-app purchases. I’ll be buying every game this developer has released, and all the games in the future!

Bouncy. Update: 1.0.3 version broke in-game music playback. It started playing, then stopped as soon as I selected an arena. Since then I can’t get the music to play at all. Oddly, sound effects work just fine. Great mechanic, great music, and so much potential. Different shapes, teleports, hazards, etc., would be fun enhancements down the road. The most mystifying thing is that you can’t quit a game and “return to the surface” once you’ve started it. The only two buttons are Resume and Options. This odd oversight is worth a star.

No Replayability. This game has a few well constructed levels, which are fun enough. Once you beat them, though, the game unlocks an "endless" mode, which is presumably meant to be the primary method of play. This mode is essentially broken, and was pretty clearly added as a hasty afterthought. The randomly generated blocks will frequently put you in unwinnable situations, which can be frustrating if you don't like being penalized for things out of your control. Maybe the developer will address this flawed mode in the future. But as of this writing, I cannot recommend playing this game for more than the brief introductory levels.

Really good game but SHUT UP!!. I’d give this five stars except that you can’t turn the sounds effects off. I feel badly giving it even three, because this makes the game unplayable in some contexts. And it is the only game I’ve seen without the ability to turn off all sounds. With that easy fix, this is a five star game

Love the game, all my game data was lost.. I had just beaten the third planet. So close to making out my upgrades. Then the next time I opened my game I was “out of shots” on the first planet with no upgrades. Warning your game might erase itself somehow.

Great concept. Great simple concept that can be very addicting and endearing. I still play it even though there has been no development in a couple years. They totally could monetize this game with just some tweaks to gameplay and development of challenges, achievements and levels. Please jump back in on this game!

I want to enjoy the game, but I can’t.. I find the game to be enjoyable, with a basic progression system. You can “beat” the game within a few hours, bringing a question to the $4 price tag. The game has the bizarre design choice of having NO WAY to disable sounds which are incredibly annoying. With an iPhone, the sound will play through Bluetooth or analog connected speakers or headphones so this game isn’t playable if im listening to music or an audiobook. Such an enormous design flaw that I’d say this game isn’t worth it, especially not at the ridiculous price point.

The Honeymoon is Over. Once you take it to the deep space “infinity” stage (obviously because they couldn’t come up with anymore planets) you get to enjoy 4-ball games because 90% of the time the game was over when it started. Not sure why they’re doing that. Obviously if you stuff the gap solid there won’t be many long games. My chief gripe at this point is that they need to give you an “end game” button to hurry the inevitable a little. Disappointing. This game had so much potential. Don’t even bother with the “infinity” stage. There are no more achievements forthcoming.

Infinite replayability. I have never reviewed an app before but I give this one five stars because I genuinely feel proud to own and play it. It’s so simple, satisfying and tricky to master that it makes for a perfect timewaster. I’ve logged many hours, reset my progress many times, and always keep coming back. I’m hopeful for a sequel with added features but for now this is a rock solid ball blaster that is easy to play and fun to master.

Would be worth the price, if there were content updates. Genuinely fun game mechanic! As it stands, you’re paying about $1 per hour of content, after which you’re stuck with one procedurally generated level. If that’s cool with you, check this out!

Love it. Perfectly polished. Addicting gameplay that helps pass the time. Love that it’s pay up front (which guarantees that gameplay isn’t arbitrarily grindy/crippled to make you watch ads or fork over more cash). Paced well and getting 99 balls was challenging. Well worth the price of admission. Review written by an indie game dev with love and appreciation for these types of honest games, Amir - creator of A Dark Room

A satisfying, but short experience.. Really satisfying feel to the gameplay. Could use more upgrades, more levels, more something. Maybe a challenge mode with blocks that have their own characteristics (flipping blocks on/off so the player has to time shots), or with balls that behave differently (arching maybe), or the board acts differently (moves up with time, not moves), or with a time limit. Not sure why I can continue to catch crystals when I’m playing the endless level and have all the upgrades, wish there was something to still put those toward. Really fun, was worth $4 to me, but I’d understand if someone were to say it was too much money for the experience.

On my third play-through. I truly enjoy this game so much that I’m playing it for the third time. It’s simple in concept and gameplay, the animation is pleasing, and the experience is a delight. It relaxes me, and serves as both a gaming snack when waiting in line at the bank, and something to enjoy when you have time for a longer play session. I sincerely wouldn’t change a thing.

Could’ve been endless fun. Starts off strong but after maybe 30 minutes to an hour the fun ends. With the levels being Procedurally Generated I’m really surprised at how few levels there are. At the start you have limited balls and shots but with a few upgrades you get unlimited shots which really kills the challenge. Then you get to a point where the crystals you collect to buy upgrades become pointless because you maxed out everything. I would like to see more block shapes that cause the balls to bounce differently or black holes or gravity spots that pull or push the balls different directions (goes with space theme) adding to the difficulty.

These balls are the best balls. This game is the best of all the Ballz-like games I've played. At first I was little concerned about the price for such a game, but I went for it and I am not disappointed. I played so much since downloading it last night that I’ve already finished it and have been focusing on getting better shot records. Very few games grab me like this and I really appreciate it when one does. The only issue I’ve had is the cloud save doesn’t allow me to transfer between devices so I had to play only on my iPad. Thanks for such a great gaming experience.

Perfect challenge:fun ratio!. I’ll admit, I didn’t love this game at first. I had to try it a few times, reluctantly. After beating the first level, I couldn’t put it down. I picked up some techniques like shooting at specific spots on the rounded edge and paying attention to the numbers to think about my strategy. At first I was shooting randomly and crashing often. I beat all the levels and was happily surprised by the black hole level. Brilliant! Got my whole family hooked on this game. I’m excited for future updates and improvements. The simplicity is a major draw, but it could be fun to have power-ups and other types of blocks, like maybe squared corners to make it more challenging or diamond shapes. Anyway, this is a SUPER fun game and I highly recommend it!!!

Fun game, lots of potential. Love the overall mechanics and sense of progression. Binged it like most people’s reviews I’ve read. Biggest downside is the campaign length. If I had to approximate it probably took 4-5 hours to complete, with not much replay incentive. I certainly hope for some updates/additional levels in the future. As well as some different mechanics to spice it up (moving/regenerating blocks, hazardous blocks/gas pockets, buffs/debuffs and maybe a more flushed out/challenging core/boss battle) That said, cool idea and execution! Great work

❤️. Unbelievably great.

Very polished but built for grind. Very petty game with nice animations, sounds etc but no matter how skilled you are you’re going to have grind to progress. That annoys me.

Great way to pass time. Love it, but i do hope there’s more update coming? Sometime there’s also a glitch where the blocks that was supposed to drop did not drop when the locked block was destroyed...

an extremely nice game. i like it heaps

A Perfect Pocket Game. Responsive, Innovated, Endlessly Fun. The perfect game to pick-up and play, even if you only have a minute to spare.

Great game but. Great but I want to be able to turn off the sound effects so I can listen to music or podcast without the constant ball noises. Would be 5 stars with this addition.

Don't use the "New Game" Button 😰. I used the "New Game" button, and it reset all my progress. I just wanted to get out of the level I was in. 😱

When you get that perfect angle.... Lovely game... Simple and short. Occasionally frustrating but when you get that perfect angle and see the little lights burst furiously between blocks, smashing the numbers down faster and faster, you realise it's all worth it and you know that there is good on the world, and that you have seen it.

Great but short. Great game and concept and really addictive but only 5 levels? For the price I think there should be more upgrades... I got through the whole thing in two days - well the last level is infinite so obviously still going on that.. I now have s bunch of stars with nothing to do with them. I assume there will be more updates added?

Way too short. $8AU for a game you’ll complete in less than a few hours is pretty rich. It could definitely do with a few more levels, but since the last update was a half year ago, I’m not holding my breath.

Great game with one issue. Truly great game, I love playing any chance I get. The inability to turn off sound effects when I’m listening to podcasts, music or even phone calls is baffling. The only option I can find is to switch my phone to silent but this is not optimal.

Too short. Good game. Needs more levels not much replay ability as there is nothing to work towards.

Fun, but Too Short. A really fun take on a familiar mechanic, but way too short. Needs more levels added.

Super fun and challenging puzzle game. I haven’t had this much fun with a mobile game in a while. Its puzzles are good, the game has nice progression so you never feel bored, and it’s SO POLISHED! Very pretty and bouncy ✨

Fantastic game!. I’ve been playing this game for months now and I still love it. Honestly, I’m pretty sure I’ve put more time into this game than any app... ever? I love it so much! Give it a try!

Really cool but.... It would be cool to add : More upgrades ; More levels ; Stats ; Customization like different ball Colors and themes. Anyway, it’s a really cool game 🙃🔥

Great game!. Just the right difficulty balance. Addictive. Haven’t love a mobile game that much for a while.

I'm hooked!. Haven't had this much fun since Peggle. The price is really easy to justify and I love that there are no annoying ads or microtransactions. The game is really cute and difficulty scales really nicely to whatever I'm in the mood for. Pick this one up!!

Simply fun. Very solid game from a very solid developer ;) You should try it!

Great game over quickly. Great, fun game love watching all the balls go crazy with the right shot. However it needs more levels.

Lost all progress. So, while I appreciate the irony of losing all my progress to the update that was supposed to fix this.... lost all progress. Thanks for the sfx off button I guess? :(

Love it! 😍. The aiming and bouncing is smooth and enjoyable, and the progression system makes for an addictive “just-one-more-game” experience. No microtransactions or ads, just fine-tuned, quality gameplay. 👍👍

Holedown - Simple but Seriously Fun. I purchased this title on a whim about a month ago. I enjoy ‘physics puzzler/platformers’, but this game didn’t initially scream “buy me”! I took a chance and purchased it, and from the get-go I could feel that every aspect of the gameplay is satisfying and challenging in a way that is fair and will kill as much time that you have to spare. I would like more levels - or planets - (only 5 or 6) and then an ‘infinite’ mode. Also, I maxed out the upgrades fairly quickly so I’m hoping that a content update is in the works. Highly recommended!

Fun, but I continually lose my progress. This has happened four times now. I will get all the way up to the final level. I will make some serious progress (we’re talking up to 800m). I will go away. I will come back with no gems, on the first level with 2/3 balls. I will have blocks coming at me from the final level (200+ hits required). Of course, I lose. I lose all my progress. This game is engaging but I cannot recommend this to anybody with the constant save losses. I have had the game less than three weeks and lost my progress four times. From the last level! Heartbreaking.

Best Game Ever. The perfect game that I keep playing over and over again. I’d love to buy a version 2!

Good but need more levels !. I love this game but I wish there were more levels and that we could do multiplayer. It’s a good game but it’s lacking in other areas. Not sure we get our moneys worth.

Please add some more complexity to endless mode. Something like an ability to use crystals as bombs, so that the later endless modes are more interactive/complex I know there is basically no financial incentive for something like this, but it’d be cool if you did some more support c:

Absolutely Stellar. Pay once, play for hours, simple, yet deep (hurrrr). Can’t recommend it enough! Just such a satisfying and polished little thing.

Really fun ball bouncer!. Guys ive had this since day one, deleted and maxed everything new again several times its a great game and an excellent job by all of you! But are we ever going to see new planets? New upgrades? Anything more to the game? Even as iap I would grab extra content no problem! Thanks again!

Addictive but needs more levels. Was able to complete all the upgrades within a couple of days. After that the game is still fun to play, but not that challenging.

So close!. I enjoyed the game but once you reach the final stage it gets boring. Maybe some achievements or additional things to buy would help with longevity?

Needs more. Ya’ll are getting greedy. I beat this is like 3 hours. Now there is no place to go but infinite. Fully upgraded everything. Add more levels or abilities or something for that price. Also, please keep the time and service indicators visible while using the app. I hate when games take that away and don’t even use the space for anything.

Not bad. Definitely needs more levels or upgrades. If I can get all the upgrades after 3 hours of playing I don’t see where the money I paid for this app went. Maybe a 99 cent game. It’s very fun, but not enough levels/content before you hit the unlimited level. Bored already.

Best Mobile game I ever played. It took me 3.5 hours after purchase before I could take a break from playing. The gameplay and progression are perfectly designed.

Great Idea and Execution. This game is good, almost great. It’s execution is near flawless. The game moves brilliantly. The sounds effects are fabulous. The idea is pretty original. I just need more. It was over way too early. And I realize it doesn’t ever really end, there’s just isn’t much to bring me back to the blackhole. Maybe an update with a few more maps? Please?

Super Fun but Too Short!. Loved playing this game and don't regret spending the money but it's already over. I can't believe there's only six levels! Please make more!

Games great but has some technical issues. I really do love this game but there are some things I’ve noted that aren’t great 1. I couldn’t find a way to exit a level once it started. 2. I beat the asteroid and have a core breached notification, but the same doesn’t happen after I beat the moon 3. Sometimes the “tutorial” with the ghost talking restarts after I open the game again Fix these things and you’ve got 5 stars easy

Might we have more?!. Might we have more levels please. A lot more!

Great game. Fun gameplay. There should be a way to bypass or speed up the crystal counting screen at the end of a game, though, and also a way to end a game that’s obviously going nowhere faster than just waiting to use all your turns.

Addicting Strategy. There is some subtle ways to master this game. Learning just exactly what to do and watch as the blocks fall away, is very rewarding . The, uh, white noodle ghost is fun too.

Good game please sync between devices. In this age if iCloud syncing it would be nice to play the same levels on my phone and iPad. It has been over a year since any updates so if this is not abandonware, please sync progress via iCloud to all my devices.

Beautiful, but progress loss bug. Was really enjoying the game and put about two hours into it earning upgrades and new planets. Then I went to play a day later and my progress was reset. It’s a shame because the game is fun and it’s really well designed and beautiful.

New colors are trash. I used to love this game. It’s a great time waster without being too addicting and requires low commitment. However, they just updated the colors of the blocks and they are terrible. I wish there was a way to change back.

4 stars b/c it needs more levels. I have beaten this game twice and am restarting for a third time. Would have been 5 stars if it had more levels. Infinity mode loses appeal quickly.

Enjoyable small game. Overall: enjoyable. // request: could the coins be used for temporary boosts in the endless mode?

Not Worth the Price. I had a lot of fun in the beginning levels but once you reach the black hole there’s nothing left to do. The whole thing only took me a few hours to complete. I hope they add more planets or another feature to make it enjoyable again.

Almost perfect!. A tiny bit more content in the way of upgrades/levels would make this game perfect! It’s truly the perfect mobile game, really hoping for a follow up!

Great game!!. Beautiful design! Perfect balance of fun and challenging. So much attention to detail. PLEASE make more levels!! One of my all time faves.

Five star game knocked to three for lost progress!. This game is an absolute joy to play. The developers should be lauded for their take on the classic brick breaking game. The only reason my review is 3/5 is because recently the game decided to erase all of my progress and i can’t seem to get it back! Otherwise, truly, truly phenomenal game.

BBTAN with depth (ha). As a huge huge fan of BBTAN, Holedown has absolutely delivered on the promise of balls flying everywhere. Awesome audio design. Only miff is that screen real estate on the iPhone X is underutilized. Hoping this gets improved in an update!

Not worth the price. For $3.99 I was expecting a good challenge or stellar ongoing levels. Sadly that wasn’t the case. You can beat this game and upgrade everything in an hour. Yes it was addicting and fun but once it was over......if there was more levels then yes it was worth $4. Where’s my refund.

NEED MORE LEVELS!!!. My addiction with this game is unhealthy; I should actually give it one star because I am now spending less time with my family. Please, for the love of all things holy...ADD MORE LEVELS!! Thank you.

Game reset after hours of play. I was enjoying it... played for a few hours before (with cell signal) and during a flight. Opened later when I had cell signal and all my progress was lost... very annoying

DEVELOPERS PLEASE READ. I love this game to pieces, and i am disappointed by how short it is. Please make an update with more levels, modes, etc. and you’ll have an amazing game.

Is that all? Seriously?. Way overpriced for what you get. The physics are fine and it’s polished, but there’s very very little advancement or upgrades; before you know it you’re on an endless, pointless level gaining gems to spend on nothing. I certainly hope they throw down a substantial update because 4 bucks for this...c’mon man. BBTAN was a much better value and way more entertaining

GIVE US MORE LEVELS. The game ends too soon with the “infinite” level, and while I do still play it the game just lost a lot of appeal. I really hope they update the game in some way for more playability, otherwise it’s pretty disappointing.

No option to mute sound. I don’t know if there’s an issue with my phone but there’s no way to turn off the sound effects. The music can be switched off but not the effects it’s incredibly annoying when trying to listen to a podcast while playing.

Great design, very fun action-puzzler!. If you like the classic indie game Gimme Friction Baby, you’ll love this gem. The sound of the balls bouncing around is strangely calming. Gotta break those bricks!!!

Fun game. Fun game with simple but captivating gameplay. Rather short game, could use more levels or maybe an unlimited mode for each planet. Also needs a quit game or reset game option. But I like the game and recommend it.

Needs more. Love the game but you’ve left me wanting more. More levels please. I’d gladly pay for an in-app purchase of a few more levels beyond the black hole endless run.

Warning: Save Reset resets entire game without confirmation!. The game is entertaining enough, but two major issues: 1. The toggle that says “Save reset”? It deletes all of your progress without any warning! 2. The reason I tried toggling that was because I was looking for a way to quit out of a current round; turns out that there’s no way to do that.

Too short. Like everyone else, I think this is a great game, but it’s much too short. Once you get to the black hole, it gets very unsatisfying as the block numbers are so high, you can’t get very far before they overwhelm you. I hope they add more content in an update, otherwise the price is a bit high.

Easily the best game of it’s kind. This game has a price tag but it is far superior to all of the other games that are similar to it.

Annoying reviews. Y'all spend $12 for a single ticket to crappy 90 minute film but complain when a $4 game only lasts 4 or 5 hours. This game is challenging and crazy fun and it lasts much longer than a $4 burger so I consider that a deal.

The white finger needs cat ears. I wish the white finger thingy on the bottom right had the option for kitty ears and says things like “Meew Mreew meow” when you tap it c^. ,.^n

Fun until the last planet. His game is really fun for about 5 hours then it suddenly stops being fun at the last level. No more upgrades and an endless unbeatable level left me disappointed.

Was fun, but a bug killed my progress. I had a good time playing this game, and unlocked every upgrade and the “Black Hole” level. Unfortunately, one day I launched the app and all of my progress was lost. The game started like I had never played it before. Pretty big bummer.

great fun, very short. Very fun, well made game. But short, very short. Too short for a $3.99 price tag. There is an endless mode once you beat the 6 short levels, but that just lazy game design.

Great Try. Physics and GamePlay is a darn blast! However with only a few levels to play and then an ‘infinity’ level this should really be a 99 cent game. Also the boss is just the same easy ball in every level. Ugh.

A small, polished gem. Simple, charming gameplay with tons of careful finish and polish. I really enjoy playing even though “finishing” it might actually be impossible :)

Fun and worth the money. Jerks who say this is a 99 cent game are the reason the App Store is free of free games that gouge you with in app purchases and dumb subscriptions. This is a SOLID game that will give you 4+ hours of entertainment. That is worth the price to me. Ball bouncer game, but with unlocks and some minor upgrades through game play. Zero ads. Zero upgrades with money. This game s the type of game I try to support.

Great Game. This is a great game and is totally worth it. The only improvement I can suggest is to allow sound to be turned off.

Best game ever (for me). I’m hopelessly addicted. But I don’t know where to see a list of best depths on black hole. I’m currently at 1320 m. Is there a way to compete against other players?

Delightful Fun. Downright delightful and well crafted. Don’t hesitate, get this game. Lovely animations and funky soundtrack highlight a fun game that you won’t want to put down.

Fun but limited. Really fun game, but once you’ve beaten the handful of worlds there are available, and maxed out the power-ups, there isn’t much reason to come back. After a week or two of play, there’s no reason to revisit this.

Lost progress. I got the game yesterday and played it for at least an hour then came back to it today and my progress was gone. Not motivated to start it over but it was fun while it lasted I guess.

This game is insanely awesome.. Simple to learn, difficult to master. Super addicting and the sounds are superb. Skip your starbucks today and buy this instead.

A Real Gem. It's another masterpiece from Martin! The ratings speak for themselves. I haven't seen a perfect 5 game other than this.

Waaaaayyy too short..!. This is a wonderful and addictive game. Kudos to the developers for that. Problem is for $4, there should be way more levels. You can finish this in a day..

Fun but short. Really fun game but once you reach the last level it’s basically over without much incentive to keep playing. My install also lost all my progress and I don’t really feel like playing it all again.
