Worth the $20. I enjoyed this game on my PS4 and playing it with friends was even better! The only thing is the points don’t really matter but it was fun messing around and trying to screw the story.

Really cool idea. I really like how the game adds the interactive aspect with your phone and the ability to play with multiple friends. The app is cool for this type of game because it acts like a note pad for each person. We also enjoyed the hidden agendas in multiplayer mode.

Fine working app, horrible game. App works great but i feel sorry for anyone who spent the money for the game. This review is gonna focus more on the game. It is really really bad. Its a super cheesy dialogue crime film where not much happens. Every single moment is overdramatic right from the top. The decisions you make are usually very pointless and feel like an afterthought to the nonexistent plot. The characters show no emotions because their cheekbones do not move so they have that kind of playstation 2 plastic face look. their dialogue is laughable and badly written. If you like lifetime this is the story for u. I dont understand how this studio manages to get money to make more games. Ive tried to make the worst decisions and nothing much changes, it doesnt feel like ur really in control of anything. And u cant use ur phone to do anything else while playing or the game pauses so ur forced to watch every second of this long slow boring story game.

Can’t play due to app. I literally can’t play the game that I just spent money on because the app opens to the Sony logo and will not load past that. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app but still can’t get it to work. I’m now stuck with a game that I purchased that I was very excited for but have zero ability to play. I’m clearly not the only person having this issue as well. If this issue can’t be fixed then I will be contacting Sony/ the PlayStation Network for a complete refund. How can you sell a game to people and provide a controller that doesn’t work and is the ONLY way you can play the game. Super bummed and disappointed with this release.

Can’t understand why it’s so low rated. This is an awesome app. I’ve played this game several times for about two hours a piece with a group of 6 adults each time and we can’t get enough of it.

It was good at first.... I played for over 2 hours with my husband, but then I somehow disconnected from the game. The app was still opened and the internet connection wasn’t interrupted or anything, yet my phone disconnected from the game and my husband’s didn’t. When trying to continue the game, it will only allow my husband to play. I have no idea how to fix this issue as even closing both the game and app and then trying to reconnect several times has not worked. Even if I’m the only person connected it states that I’m not the correct player to continue the game. I guess the only option is to restart the entire game and hope it doesn’t disconnect again.

Please release a new update?. I can connect my iPhone but I can’t connect my brothers Samsung phone. I can choose a color and everything and go to set the game up but he can’t connect at all. It just says searching for games endlessly. We are on the same WiFi network and we’ve tried all the fixes. We really want to play this game and I don’t want to play it alone. I won’t give a super low review because I’m sure it will be fixed eventually. I’ll come back to raise it when we can play.

Not loving it. I would be much happier if this game just used a controller. I spend way too much time trying to get reconnected when it drops out for no reason. The game and story has me engaged, but I hate using my phone. It’s way too glitchy to be enjoyable and a royal pain to deal with the constant errors. I like the game but this technology is repulsive.

Excellent. The first time I could get my wife to sit down with me and play the PlayStation in a long time! We both loved it and had a great time. I had almost 0 problems with the software and both of our iPhones always stayed connected except for on one occasion, it pick right back up to where it was. It is a short game but very enjoyable ! PlayStation please make more of these

Crashing/freezing issue update. Started having the same issue others seem to have been encountering a couple days ago. No amount of un/reinstalling, restarting, or updating my phone fixed it. Then tried again just now and it it magically booted up just fine. There was never an update within the app store so no idea what did it but just happy to see it running again and hope it stays that way. Definitely nervous and wary of its reliability now.

App Not Working. I purchased the game yesterday and was really excited to play it. I downloaded everything and attempted to play but app kept crashing. It wouldn’t open or get past the Sony Interactive Entertainment Presents screen. So disappointed and hoping you push an update soon. I was really looking forward to playing!

App won’t connect. Game looks like fun, but the app won’t connect to my PS4. Opens, goes through the developer screens, sits there, then flashes back to my home screen but the app hasn’t shut itself down. Re-installs don’t work, and it looks like I’m not the only one with these issues. Hopefully the issue gets resolved and I didn’t waste my money. Such a shame, it’s the only PlayLink app I’ve had trouble with.

App never opens. When I open the app it freezes at “Sony Entertainment Presents.” Not just my phone by the three other people playing with me. Then it crashed. All four of us. How do you expect to play a game when it’s controller doesn’t even work? Paid money for it and it doesn’t work. Doubt I’ll ever get a refund for a faulty product. Or even be heard. Way to go Sony. Giving quality products. You should team up with EA.

Good Game so far. The game is has wonderful graphics and story but its the app that doesn’t work. After a day I wanted to play again but the app keeps crashing. It’ll say Hidden Agenda then the Sony Entertaining logo and the stays there. After that it crashes...... i need help. I tried reinstalling it and all!!

Not sure what the issue is. It may be because I just started playing the game so late after its release, but if you set up your PS4 as the hotspot for your phone to connect to everything works great. I haven’t had issues when playing by myself or with multiple people.

Works fine (most of the time). I’m mostly putting a 5 star review to combat lower reviews because it definitely deserves a higher rating than two stars. That said, it’s more of a 3.5 star app. It works fine, and when it crashes it’s usually when you decide to pause the game with your phone. And if it crashes it’s simple enough to reboot without damaging your progress. The only qualm I have is when you’re scrolling through the logbook it becomes slightly pixelated, which may be a design choice but I don’t think it’s a good one. As someone who plays lots of PS4 games I think the play link feature is great and hidden agenda is a wonderful way to spend a Houseparty or a Friday night with friends

App won’t open. I got it to open once, but it force closed and I can’t get it to open again. I’ve closed it, reinstalled it...nothing works. It’s b.s. to buy a game and not be able to use it because the app is “required”. Why isn’t this optional? I have a game I can’t even try with my husband because your app is crap.

Does not work at all. Bought the game on the ps4 and downloaded the app only to find nothing will load properly. It does not advance past the “pick your color” screen or sometimes it just says “waiting” or “connect to game.” Horrible disappointment.

Terrible Support for a Once Great App. When this game first came out, the app worked flawlessly and I had a ton of fun with this game! However, with the latest updates, this app is more useless than a brick. I have tried installing the app and playing the game on 3 different devices, but every single time it gets stuck on the “Sony Computer Entertainment America Presents” screen. This is absolutely unacceptable considering that the consumer has to pay for the game itself, and that the only way to play it VIA the app is completely and utterly broken. A fix is needed quick so the app can actually be accessed, otherwise I feel like a lot of people won’t be buying these gimmicky ‘Playlink’ games anymore. Come on Sony, you can do better than this.

Waste of 20 dollars. Shouldn’t force you to use play link if you bought the game. There should be an option for single player. The game forces you to use your phone even if you don’t have one or don’t have WiFi. I️t allows your PS4 to be a hotspot but surprise surprise that doesn’t work either.

Idk if I got an updated version or something. My version must be the latest and greatest version Becuase I see nothing but bad reviews and I can’t find one bad thing about this game if I tried. I’m only now starting part 2 so I don’t want to speak too soon but the game is super dope to me

Great game horrible app. They definitely need to fix the bug that crashes the app. Sometimes it will allow you to reconnect but it takes forever especially if you’re playing with multiple people. Sometimes it won’t recognize your device as a previous player and you have to start a whole new game. Very frustrating.

Glitchy App. This app from the moment I installed it has been Very glitchy. There is literal coding and numbers and colors that flash on the screen every time I’m swiping through anything. I don’t have this problem with other apps. And I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app and I feel that an update is needed for this issue! Thanks!

Drains battery to quickly!!. Let me start off by saying the game is really good. The only part that I find really deficient is this app. The game doesn’t let you use the controller which is fine but the app literally drains my phones battery instantly. I would say 1 percent every couple of minutes. Im currently using the iPhone X so I know its not my phone causing the problem . Can you somehow optimized the app more efficiently so it stops draining.

Okay game, terrible way to play it. It was a decent game, of course, not living up to Supermassive’s other MASSIVE project Until Dawn. I hated the fact you have to use your phone to play the game instead of the ps4 controller. They do realize the controller has a touchpad... right?

Sony Entertainment Presents.... An extremely disappointing experience. Went to play this with friends, but we couldn’t even get this app to work. Two of us had iPhones, two of us had Samsung Galaxys. The Samsung’s had no issues. The iPhone users couldn’t even progress past the initial loading screens without the app crashing and reopening itself. Very disappointed that I spent money on this game and instead was rewarded with a headache.

*Big Problem*. The game is a waste of time. App is only good for crashing. Attempted to connect through PlayLink many times and failed every single time. Deleted and reinstalled the app over and over again only to fail terribly . Not worth the time and the effort. No solution on how to fix the problem.

So frustrated. I actually love this game so far, but the app is constantly and randomly loading especially during quick time events which makes the game pretty unplayable at the moment, it takes forever to just connect to a game and even the text on the main menu glitches. It’s like five year olds created this app.

Does not deserve only 2 stars. This game is a great game. It has an amazing story line the graphics are great on the tv/ ps4. The app does get a little pixelated when you scroll through but the app does not crash on me. I only have a iPhone 6s and a poor WiFi connection. I love this game I wish there was more like it!

Doesn’t work. App simply doesn’t work. It starts to load but almost immediately crashes. (iPhone 7, very good WiFi which both the phone and PS4 are connected to) Spoke with chat support, who insisted it was a problem with the game, not the app. Without listening to me, support insisted I reboot in safe mode and rebuild the database. Useless as expected. For argument’s sake, I also deleted and redownloaded the game. Nope. Deleted and reinstalled app. Nope. Update: heard from someone of the forums that the developer is the one who has to support it, which is not PlayStation, and basically the only solution is desperately to try every device possible to find one that works. 😑 Dude, if the game came out only a few months ago, after the latest iOS upgrade, and it isn’t compatible with the latest iOS, something is very wrong. I would like a refund for my game, please.

Cool story line but... It’s ridiculous that if not everyone gets their dot on the correct spot in time you basically lose. Like oh no you didn’t get your dot there so the end. It’s awful I get that there needs to be a time limit but there is not enough time, by the time you can even move your dot it’s over.

Terrible cursor. The game made me so stressed out. You can barely move the pointer at quick time events (QTEs) when you’re required to use your finger on the phone screen. Then this wastes two hours of the game and hard work for nothing when you aren’t given the chances to explore different endings because of the faulty pointer that is barely fast. Restarting the whole game from the beginning is the only way to undo your “mistakes” from QTEs without being able to go back to the previous scene which is really unfair. This game is for PlayStation so a real controller should be used for QTEs instead of a phone screen. A phone screen as a controller is absolutely ridiculous and silly.

App doesn’t work at all!. 1. Downloaded game to PS4 and paid $20 (that I want back). 2. Downloaded app to iPhone. 3. App won’t make it past the initial load screens an crashes. 4. Installed latest iOS 5. Rebooted again 6. The phone (two actually mine and my girlfriends iPhone) is on the same WiFi network as the PS4. 7. Tried turning on and connecting to PS4 hotspot. Still the app won’t load. 8. I have tried to delete and reinstall the app. I have closed the app all the way and tried again. 9. Have rebooted the PS4. Doesn’t seem related since the app just doesn’t load at all it tried it since I wasted so much time anyway. I am in IT. I have done all possible troubleshooting. Garbage. Seriously disappointing and a huge waste of time.

Didn’t even get to play the game.. My boyfriend and I bought the game really excited to play and the app successfully started EXCEPT we can’t get past the choose a color screen. Every time we select a color it says “connecting” then goes right back to the choose a color screen. This is really disappointing especially being we PAID for the game. Don’t waste your money.

SO DISAPPOINTED. I should have researched more about the issues on this game before buying. What COULD have been a 5 Star game is completely ruined by making it only playable through their HORRIBLE app. Half the time, my phone screen says “PLEASE WAIT” while loading at the most inconvenient times (the quick time reaction events, and search scenes), which makes multiple endings COMPLETELY impossible. Worked like a charm in the beginning tutorial areas, afterwards was all downhill from there. My WiFi works fine, so that can’t be the issue. And while my screens says PLEASE WAIT, the game should at least pause or SOMETHING until my phone is ready for me to make a selection or do anything. Terrible, terrible. One painful play-through is enough for me. Expected much more from this company. Only touching this again if they happen to update the game to make it playable by controller (like playstation 4 games were actually intended for). Until then, deleting it completely off my phone & PlayStation.

Can barely get my answers in.... I have played several play link games and have had no problem with my iPhone 6s...but downloaded this tonight and it’s just a mess. The game looks nice (although a messy story but I’m an avid crime fan anyhow...)but when it comes down to it the app for me is super slow. It takes 5 swipes or more for me to pick my option. And since the other player can see my options they just wait to see what I pick. Not fun.

Player had to redownload app- now cant continue. We love the game in competitive mode, however, as said before, once a player misses any part or has to redownload the app, we cant continue with them, and have to restart the entire story. Maybe add in the option to take over a “previous player” for this issue. Otherwise any app corruption or even if someone clicks out of the app and the others move on for a short moment, you’re out forever on that story line. If not for this issue I would give 5 stars for the originality and innovation that this game has. Thanks for reading!

Great game.. Me and my girlfriend played the entire game and we were addicted to it. We had a couple of problems connecting to the game at first but eventually we got it working. Definitely recommend this to everyone.

So far so good. I believe if you play at night you will have a better experience, it doesn’t lag is simple and interesting

awful, very disappointed. as a lover for Sony, supermassive games and games created by these titles I was very excited to play this game so I downloaded it on my PS4 only to get the app and it be awful. when I first tried it, it was so delayed. I missed every quicktime because the screen didn’t allow me to click on it, it always showed “please wait”. some choices took me 10 minutes to make a decision because the app wouldn’t allow me to. I updated my phone and went to retry it and now the app won’t even launch. Very disappointed and surprised that Sony would think a third party device such as a smart phone would work as a controller on the PlayStation.

GARBAGE. Characterization was bad, plot was vague, and the graphics were horrible. Only about 1 hour of gameplay and when I was playing with my friends and the game ended because we missed one quick time. Don’t waste your $20 on this game and if you are looking for a similar game with about 8 times the amount of gameplay, with some good jump scares, with characters that are simple but relatable,with a very in depth plot, check out “Until Dawn” which i got on the playstation store for free.

Why is this game going unnoticed ?!. This is 1 of the coolest games to have ever be made, I love the cinematic feel it gave me, and this company who also made “Until Dawn” really mastered the butterfly effect choices, every time I pick this game up I’m immediately glued until I finish that part of the story, thank you for making this game I hope a sequel is to come of it.

Works well for my family. I don’t know why the reviews are so low for this app, when it’s pretty decent! To each their own ig, but the app and the game work perfectly for us. There’s no lagging, freezing, or really any disruptions during our play throughs. I’ve had this app for about 2 years (on and off), and it’s still been working like a charm for me.

I don't care! It's amazing!. Don't listen to any of those bad 1 star reviews... Their trying to bring your hype down so that you don't play it. This game is definitely a must buy for a interactive multiplayer game. So do not listen to anyone who say this game is bad. Worth the twenty dollars.

Waste of money. Was able to run the app the first time but only me and another person were able to connect to the game. So ended up not playing that day, next time I run the app no one can connect and mine crashes every time. Haven’t even been able to play the game. Such a shame that all the other playlink titles work but this pile or trash doesn’t.

Disappointed with the app. I was totally loving this game, the story had me so intrigued and I was really enjoying it. However, When I turned on the PS4 to continue playing it, I noticed that the app wasn’t working, and even though I tried deleting and installing again, there was no way to make it work, I was expecting much more from this developers.

App version 1.2 is broken for iOS. I have version 1.2 and it won’t load past the Sony Entertainment Presents screen. My other phone has auto-updates turned off, so it has version 1.1 and that still works fine. The problem is absolutely with this latest app update. Please fix ASAP so I can change this 1-star rating.

Really great until.... We were in part 3 and building to the climax when it said we were disconnected, even though the app was open on both our phones, and the internet connection was undisturbed. It will not let us back in. We have wasted hours of our time and money to not be able to finish the game. Very disappointed.

App is working again ... Game is Amazing!. Update: Hidden Agenda has so many different endings and avenues you can literally replay the game several times and get a different outcome. I’ve had people come over for a party and we’ve played together which sounds lame but was one of the best get together I’ve had! The App is easy to use and means more people can play and you don’t have to fork out money for controllers. The game is fantastic, the app is functioning again and it’s definitely worth the money! The App has issues at one point but the developers have obviously fixed this and that’s all that matters... they listened. Previously: Loved this game but after their “minor bug fix update” the app no longer loads and the game is unusable. I’ll update my review when and if things change.

Frustrating app/game. The app just doesn’t work properly at all. We had 2 iPhones ready to play and one wouldn’t connect to the game. So we played with the 1 phone. But even then the app is terrible. The touch screen does not function properly. We missed many things throughout the game due to this. Would not recommend.

Rubbish. Another useless gimmick that only works in theory but in reality is terrible. Why can’t we just use a regular while playing alone? I’ve made so many mistakes because I’ve got sweaty palms and using a touchscreen of anything is a no-go with me. Made the whole experience one to forget for me, which is a shame because I really wanted to like this game. But not with this awful gimmick of an app.

Laggy. This app is so laggy and even non-responsive at times. I’ve not been able to respond to questions with timers and lost the game because of the non-responsiveness of the app. Really disappointed and a waste of money buying the game.

Game is ok... now keeps crashing.. Got to play this once, the game was pretty interesting and fun though very glitchy. Now I’m trying to play it again and we can’t even open the app.

Updated. Thanks to the latest update the App now works fine. I managed to do a couple of games.

App doesn’t work. I’m hooked up to the same WiFi and I checked the connections on both ends. But it still doesn’t work, and I can’t play it now cuz I NEED the app to play it....if you guys update the app so it does work, that’d be great. Great Game but.... When this game works, it is amazing! Such a great idea to allow everyone to use their phones and influence the story!! I do wish it was a little longer but I love the game overall. However, while it does work most of the time, a few times our phones would not get past the initial “Sony Entertainment” screen even after reinstalling the app, resetting the phone and re connecting to the ps4 wifi hotspot multiple times. Once the bugs are worked out it will be great!

Very Glitchy. App glitches a lot. Especially when it’s time to vote. There are times when I can’t vote for a player because their name card won’t appear, several times I’ve tried to lock in my vote by swiping up, but my voting cards will just reappearing on screen and this sometimes keeps repeating until I change my voting choice. The app does at least provide each player with useful information and biographies of characters, which is useful because I sometimes had a hard time remembering some characters names and how they relate to the story. If the app was more stable I would rank it much higher.

App won’t work. My wifi connection is fine, but the app won’t connect with my PS4 and because of this, I can’t play the game, even though they’re both on the same wifi connection. The app itself also glitches, but i’m not sure if it’s intentional or not.

100% crash on boot. Not a single person on a variety of devices could get the app to work. Every single one of us played the other PS4 app called "That's you!" no problem. Nice for a $30 game with a 30gb download to be totally non-functional. This is literally theft.

Great story and fun to play with friends!. Its much shorter than Supermassive Games other titles, but that's expected because it's not their traditional style being a mobile game. Took about 2 to 2 1/2 hours to finish. it's not the most thrilling, but it's still good and really fun to play with your friends and allows you to work together to make decisions and aunlock different avenues and endings. Hidden Agenda. App takes a long time to load between sequences and I have missed quick times and choices because of it. Why can’t you just make an option to use to pad on the PS4 controller?

App crashing. App won’t get past logo screen. Love this game and have been trying to beat it but unfortunately can’t even open it. So disappointing. If this app is fixed I will leave a better review but just upsetting that we can’t even play.

New update keep crashing. It was great until this update, causing the app to crash every time I open on iPhone7 and iPhone 5s. It was really disappointing that this update did not even work. How would this even get passed through QA? Now the game time with my friends has ruined!!

So poorly written. This game is obnoxious, particularly in how cheesy the storyline is and how poor the voice acting is. The game mechanics are also annoying. I would go into greater detail but I've already wasted enough of my life on this game.

App is totally jacked on new versions of iOS. Title. Mad flickering and visual artifacts. It still mostly works for playing the game as long as you don’t have epilepsy...

Game doesn’t work. Tried to connect the app to the game running on PS4 and it doesn’t connect at all. Have tried to use the local WiFi hotspot and it made no difference. App is garbage and will ask for a refund

Disappointment. This app will not let me choose the color in order to play the game and the app is poorly made and you can tell they did not even try I’m trying to get my money back for buying this STUPID game but still no answer!

This app and game does NOT work.. The developers on this project need to be re-hired to fix all the problems that exist. We waited an hour for this game to download and half of our apps won’t sync and the rest glitch to and fro from different pages. Failure.

Garbage. My girlfriend bought the game and we finally sat down to play it. The app works on neither of our phones, can’t even get passed Sony Interactive screen. Complete garbage and waste of money and time.

Won’t launch. Every time I open the app it just stays stuck on the loading screen then shuts down. It doesn’t get past the Sony entertainment loading screen. pathetic

Waste of money. I’ll be calling PlayStation on Monday to get my $20. It does not work on my iPhone 7. Shows the first screen, sometimes the second, and then just closes out of the app. Don’t buy it.

Has potential but terrible app. Don’t waste your money. The game could have been really cool but the app is ATROCIOUS. You literally cannot play the game without it pausing for ages every couple minutes.

Does not work. I’ve tried every suggestion and workaround I can find. Everything is on the same, and only, WiFi Network. The app never fully loads and the game on the PS4 never sees it. I’ve tried an iPhone 7 Plus, 6s, and an iPad Air 2. Thanks for helping yourself to my $20! 😡😡😡
