Very helpful!. I know some people would like to see this app display how much current the battery is receiving during the charging operation, but that is not possible at this time, as Apple doesn’t make that data available. So, given that limitation, I found this app to be highly useful in showing me the relative charging rates of various cables and power sources. I’ve found the app to be consistent in the results it reports, having tried the same cables multiple times using the same power source, then trying them with a different source. Nicely done....thanks!

Doesn’t work. When ever I start the test, five minutes later, it says the test was canceled because of disconnection. I tried running it more but it still said it no matter what I did

Free version is useless. Full page banner ads appear automatically at a regular interval of 30-60 seconds or so. Keep in mind that according to the dev, tests take 3-10+ min& you can not switch apps during the test or it will fail. Banner ad pops up, causing the current test to abort as the app switches over to view the ad. If the free version of an app is supposed to allow users to test drive the program at no cost, one would assume that basic functionality would be included. How do you expect someone to buy your app if this is their initial impression of the UX?

Good app. Nice simple app, that can help with measuring the battery charging speeds.

Does what it says it does. Like the title says, the app is good at measuring and helping you figuring out what cables are good and bad. Not much else to say.

Very slow app! Very fast Ads.. Ads are faster. Works sometimes. Deleting!

Irratic results. Wireless charging. I place it on the charger and it runs and shows 509mamp and 205sec to achieve 1%. Then I immediately start the app again and it shows 5220mamp and 20sec to achieve 1%. How is this possible? Can't say I trust this app at all after seeing this.

Digging it so far. Got the app to determine which wireless charger is best. I bought 5 different wireless chargers, so we’ll see how it goes. So far, I’ve only used the shorter test, which apparently tests for 2% increase in charge to calculate the average. I have yet to use the longer test, which should yield a more accurate result. Not sure how many % it’ll look at to calculate the average. We’ll have to find out.

Been using this app for years. I’m a bit obsessive about battery charging for some reason. For years I’ve had this app installed on multiple iPhones I’ve owned, and I’ve also tested it against external USB amp meters/readers/trackers. I’ve compared different cables/chargers and usb plugs using this app, android phones, android apps, and my external USB amp meter. I’ve read through a few dozen reviews here, along with the developers responses, and I understand the app enough to know that the developer has solid truthful positions in every response. Occasionally I’ve experienced some inaccuracies but normally there’s a reason for whatever error might have occurred, and usually another test will show a more accurate result. Overall I do recommend this app and I will continue to use it obsessively!!

Doesn’t work for iPhone 6. I push test and nothing happens

wors. I have used this app on both android and iPhones And it’s awesome. That’s exactly what it supposed to do. Of course android was less secretive but it will still tell you which of your iPhone power sources works best.

Great information!. My charging time was sooo slow at some locations in my home. I did a check of different chargers and different cords and optimized my charging time with my best equipment/cord. Went from a charging speed of 722 seconds/1% of battery life to 1687 —more than twice as fast! Thanks!!!

Does little but it works. Would like to be able to see real measurements like the amps or voltage. It just gives some score that is only relevant within to the app when compared with other charges.

Ads ads ads ads ads ads ads….. This is an ad app with a little bit of battery function test built in. I promptly deleted because of nonstop ads. Terrible.

Test Results iPhone X. These scores were on an iPhone X: Okay, so I decided to purchase the USB-C to Thunderbolt cable & block. I immediately compared to my 3 different charging blocks and 2 charging cables. First of all The USB-C to Thunderbolt charger fast charge mode worked exactly as advertised. After it reached 80% I decided to see how the power was being pulled between the different blocks and cables after 80% QC mode was disabled: USB-C on 29 Watt Block: 1629 Stock block 5 Watt and cable: 611 iPad 12 Watt Block: 814 I will update this with results with battery around 30% and update later, but earlier in the week I did try a 29 Watt USB A with stock cable and it gave me just above 1200. This score could have been skewed, because the battery was almost dead at the time. I will add those results as well, but this should give you an idea of what to expect, and whether upgrading to USB-C to Thunderbolt and buying the Block is worth the ~$80 it's going to cost you to do so... Once again, I’ll retest with the power at a lower level, but right now I would say having a good third party 29 Watt USB-A Block with stock cable should be suffice for most people. I will also try my father's USB-C 27 Watt block from Essential Phone, and use the USB-C cable to see how those vary. Edit: So after bringing the phone down to 35% I did some more tests. All results were the same EXCEPT, the USB-C to 29 Watt charging block and Essential 27 Watt Block. Once in quick charge mode the score went up dramatically to USB-C to Lightning 29 Watt Block: 2444 USB-C to Lightning Essential Black: 2359 So when in QC mode it goes up almost 800 points and then after 80% goes down to 1629! Still well above the other blocks and cables! So if you want to quickly charge your device definitely go with the USB-C lightning cables to begin with. I also tried on a 27 Watt Essential Phone charging block and the results were TOO similar, so you do DO NOT need an IPhone 29 Watt charging block, but you do need the cable! In fact I’ll be returning my 29 Watt Block and buying a generic Amazon counterpart that I know now will do a similar, if not better job, than Apples 29 Watt Block...(I went to Amazon and bought a 30 Watt Anker Block). Too slow. I have an app on my other phone called Ampere by Braintrapp that measures amperes of the battery within seconds. This takes over 10 minutes! It seems that far superior app is only available on Android devices. Now I’m starting to realize just how pathetic iOS apps can be. I guess I’ll have to use the iPhone I have just for making videos and taking pictures. The apps for their operating system is just getting worse and worse. Deleted this app immediately.

Doesn’t give the A or V number. Maybe I don’t know how to use this app and I’m ready to correct the ratings if someone point it out to me but the test only gives a number useful for relative comparison. I get a score of 977. What does it mean? There is not even a scale explanation. I’d like to measure if the new chargers I bought perform according to specs like most of the people that downloaded this app and I find it hard to see a good use for this app without having scores expressed in A or V. I do like the UI. Please help me understand if this is a user error or a real shortcoming of this app.

Wrong information. Charge using USB-C 20W with the battery guage increasing pretty fast as fast-charging but the software show wattage at less than 5W (less than 1A), if it’s only calculate base on 5V input then the developer need some adjustment.

Doesn’t actually measure current or power. This app estimates current/power from the charger by measuring the time it takes to increase your battery by 1%, and uses that information, combined with the rated battery capacity to estimate the input power. This is very inaccurate as the % rate of change of the battery is not directly proportional to the charge current, and is effected by the state of charge, temperature and condition of the battery.

Cool application. I don't know how that work. But my score is 1050- original charger. Throw my China chargers out))

Nice tool with kind of old UI. I like this app. It works good for all my wires and charger tests, but UI is kind of old. Would love to see some fresh and nice interface there.

Does not work. iPhone 12 Pro Max. iOS 15.1.1. After 5 mins, this app is still running and no results. No progress indicator. Tried it twice. Deleting this garbage app.

Says my iPhone 12p max is charging fast. Said my score was 6500 and charging at 35w , how is that possible ?

Not sure of accuracy for iPhone 13 pro max fast charging. When I tested my 65 watt PD charger on my iPhone 13 Pro Max it gave me a test result of 48.9 watts. The phone was at 48% when I tested. Seems too high since the phone is only supposed to max out at 27 watts. Results from wireless charging seem to be ok. MagSafe showed 15.48 watts. Other wireless chargers showed 7.5-10 watts.

Scam. They want to make you watch videos. No results! Don’t download.

Perfect App!. Thank You Andrew, this app is perfect for my needs. I have the new iPhone Xs Max with fast charge capability. I purchased several adapters, (usb-c & usb-a) & wireless in both formats. I’m testing various cables by different manufacturers. With your app I am able to test all combinations so I can use the accessories with the best results! Also the ability to label the tests helps me keep my results organized! Great app! Keep up the good work! Update:This was for the full app as far as labeling goes.

Trash app.. This app is essentially a Chinese ad delivery machine. Do not buy. Don't download the free version. Delete it if you have it.

Very Useful Tool. Whenever a particular app shows itself to be exceptional, I am compelled to give it a positive review. I am aware of the difficulties that can arise when a developer submits an app to Apple for distribution on the App Store and I’m also aware of exactly how valuable a positive review by a consumer can be. This app is easy to use, user friendly and very accurate if one follows the instructions provided. I had the opportunity to check test results with an outside charger testing tool and the accuracy of the results performed on the Amperes Lite app were surprisingly precise. I also had the pleasure of dealing directly with the app’s customer support. My inquiries were met with prompt and courteous responses and I was impressed by the thorough nature of those responses. Customer support was very friendly but also professional and knowledgeable. 5 stars.

My phone is not charging a 30W. Standard charger is 5v 1A= 5W Quick charge Samsung 9v 1.8= 16.2 Q3 is 15W So does this include the rate of discharge. What is this app Update: through limitations of iOS and not the dev make sure you measure with standard charging rectifier at 5v

Lots of ads and not instant result. Every time you run a test you get an ad and the test takes forever. And you only get 8 free test. Crap

Tits on a bull-level useless. Terrible interface, does nothing, gives meaningless info. I don’t know what they were thinking when they designed this.

v 2.05 now has limits to number of free tests. Edit, in response to developer’s reply: You were able to sustain the previous version with ads which I didn’t mind. I suppose the revenue you generated then wasn’t enough. There are a number of completely free apps out there which provide stellar service and never charged a cent in one way or another. I have also purchased apps which were well worth the price I paid. If I had another job to support myself, I would do it for the passion of developing apps. If this was your sole income, then...good luck. Perhaps sell it for whatever price you wish as a one-time fee. If the user really loves your app, then they’ll pay for it. To me, it wasn’t worth the hassle of viewing ads. This is all a moot point since I’m deleting the app. Thanks for reminding me to do so, given your sarcastic reply. •••••••••• Beware, version 2.05 now has a limit to the number of free tests. You’ll have to watch ads to earn more free tests. Time to delete the app. Lesson learned: Stay with the older version as much as you can.
