I like...BUT. I like this game a lot but they give you these Quests in order to earn power ups and one of the Quests is to chat with opponents. However, the chat interface is REALLY REALLY BAD! And you can no longer see your typed words beyond about 6 words which leads to lots of errors in an already horrible interface. ANOTHER THING ABOUT THE CHAT...lots of guys just want to chat and not play. A simple Hello (to meet your Quest quota) is understandable. But beyond that, I don’t want to get into deep conversations with strange men. Seeing how the interface is so bad, chatting is really just a chore! Wish I could turn that feature off and earn power ups in a different way, in the place of chatting.

Crashes NONSTOP. I have played this game for the last 6+ months, and I have loooooved it….and have sadly spent too much money on coins lol… HOWEVER… you can also earn coins and get them from other people. I have watched ads before to be able to “restart” collecting more… but there have been at least 20 times in the last month that the app just crashes and closes out… losing those coins. That is 20 “swaps” - a lottttt. It crashes randomly even when you’re just playing. When I’ve been trying to buy coins, it shows it was successful, gives me the coins sometimes, the crashes and I coke back to no coins. Yet I’m charged??? I pay monthly to skip ads as well but this game has gotten so ridiculous with not working that I’ll be switching back to words w friends. They did sent a msg the other day about it being reported and being fixed now… it is not. No change whatsoever and a complete waste of the money I’ve spent playing. *eta I have only gotten a generic/auto response from them when I notified. So. I guess I have just bought a bunch of coins I don’t get.

Many coins nowhere to spend. I have never written a review for a game but felt the need to do so this time! I use to play this game daily, I like this game but there are several issues that make it problematic to continue playing. 1. I have over 10K coins and nowhere to spend them!! The store use to have an option to buy power ups but has disappeared. Now I have plenty coins and no use for them whatsoever. There are many options to continue to get coins but what for I can’t spend them! I would be extremely angry if I chose to buy coins and had nowhere to spend them! 2. The ridiculous amount of ads on this game is crazy! After every play you have to watch an ad, every time you make any move there’s an ad it’s crazy! Some of the ads are redundant! I shouldn’t have to watch ads for games I already have! 3. The game glitches way too often! I’ll try to open the game it shuts down! I try to play a move it shuts down! The letters sometimes are hidden under other letters! Sometimes you are watching an ad for a power up and you never received the power up so you’ve wasted time doing that! People wait forever to play their turn like days then they play one move in order to not time out! There should be an option to stop the game without penalty for these players! It wastes peoples time! I could go on and on about the problems but I would end up writing a book! The many issues need to be fixed then it would make this a great game!

Great game but too many technical issues. I loved the game itself but had to delete it. Instead of glitches being fixed it became increasingly frustrating to try to play. The game crashes, doesn’t function properly (you can’t move letters onto the board AND the ads are ridiculously frequent, long and problematic- you can’t close them or the screen goes black or white so you have to continuously shut down the game and restart it. Ads are needed to keep the game free, I get it, but these ads are over the top. Maybe if the price for ad free were more reasonable I’d consider it but I’d be afraid the functionality would still be problematic. I definitely wouldn’t pay nearly $50 for one game. Too bad it doesn’t work right. It’s a great game and I’ll miss playing it but won’t miss the aggravation.

Game continues to crash. UPDATE. I got a message from the developer to write to them from inside the game so they can “fix” it . I can’t do that because the game crashes before I can even start. If I could give this game 0 stars I would. I have enjoyed playing this game for several years. It’s a lot of fun when the game works properly. They have made “improvements under the hood”….Not from my point of view. The game has become unplayable. It crashes and closes after every move. Sometimes you don’t even get to make a move before it crashes and you have to restart only to have it crash again. Something is wrong with this game. Not the first game from this developer that has done this. I deleted another “word” game by this developer for the same reason. If you can’t play why keep it? DONT BOTHER WITH THIS APP! Up

A 5 star game with issues!. I love this app but the issues drive me nuts! I invited a friend to play using the invite but I can’t see the game he played and he can’t see mine! 😡🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ll be in the middle of playing the daily word challenge and it will kick me out and say I lost my play streak (when I just played last night!) 😡 I’ll be in the middle of creating a word and an ad will start! 😡 I be playing and the screen will disappear as if I swiped it away! 😡 There are also many times when the opponent has played a word but the game does not show up in the my turn to play section- but instead stays in the “ Their move” section! 😡 THESE ARE ALL FRUSTRATING AND I WISH THEY WOULD FIX THEM!!

Glitchy and cluttered. Not as relaxing as it could be because there is so much clutter accompanying this game. There are too many potential games and players presented at once and in multiple ways, too many options at once, too many random purchases and many more ads than other games. The worst glitches though are in the most important feature: your random letters. Sometimes the value of the letters is off, changes in the game. Even worse, on multiple occasions I’ve noticed letters just disappearing from sight, leaving me one short when my turn comes around. For instance, I planned the word “gravy” but when the board switched to my turn the V was gone! Sometimes shuffling fixes the problem; mostly not. This time the letter did not reappear until after I played a different word.😩Not relaxing! I still play because I love scrabble games.

Has potential but…. First off, most of the ads are 30 seconds (some you can fast forward through) BUT they come ALL THE TIME. Your opponent makes a move, go to ad. You look up a word in dictionary and up pops an ad. I understand that you have to have ads, but if you are doing them as often a you are, they either need to be shorter or more should be able to be skipped after 5 seconds or so. The other really annoying thing is being from the U.S. I am used to scrabble rules and I can’t believe what qualifies as word in this game! Especially when you play a bot and they are throwing out Japanese, Latin, archaic, and all kinds of words I have never heard of. This makes for a HUGE disadvantage and I can’t seem to find a way to “turn off” playing with all the wierd words and other languages. For that reason, I will be uninstalling this game.

Ad abuse... I like this game but like so many other apps they bombard you with ads and what’s worse they show you games that have NO ads.. I get that they want you to pay for a paid version of this app but this is totally over the top. If you play your turn you are immediately forced to watch an ad - every single time you put a word down you’re going to be forced to watch an ad. It distracts from game play and the constant interruptions extend the game and sometimes have you put your phone down. I’ve actually forgotten to take my turn because I have put my phone down and waited to get through the entire ad and then had something take me away from the game. I can see an Ad playing every 5 or 6 turns but this is really outrageous. I have never written a review complaining but this has gotten so annoying just thinking about it as I am writing this has me thinking I should just delete the app and move on. What is wrong with all of these companies charging so much for an app, a game, on a phone? This is pure greed!

It is fun.... With that being said, I do have some complaints: (1) The ads play with the volume on. It’s very jarring and annoying and kind of a violation tbh. We know you’re a free game which means you need ads, but it’s truly infuriating that they randomly play with the sound on even if your phone’s on silent. Plus, often, you’re not given the option to mute it once it’s already playing. (2) While the feature to play with all sorts of people is fun, there should be a limit to how long you have to wait for your opponent to take their turn. Sure people are living in different time zones, but if you start a game you should be responsible to finish it. I have games that have sat idle for two days and I can’t just quit them or it’ll count as a loss. Also, it seems like some people are holding people hostage, if you will, not playing their turn so they can try to talk to you, whatever their motives might be.

Great App. I love this app so much! I am encountering some issues that are not being fixed in the updates. They have to do with the advertisements after submitting a word...many adds have no volume button to turn off sound. The ad plays loudly despite having my ringer off and sound all the way down. Also, some ads never go away or don’t ever have a “close” icon “X.” The only way for me to continue playing is by closing out the app and restarting. It happens all the time with one ad in particular (football scratch off). Other times I have no choice but to click on the ad and it takes me to the App Store, then I have to close out again and reopen. It’s getting old. Please fix these issues in updates!

Game glitch issues, and no customer support icon. I installed Word Wars in January and then uninstalled the app so I could reinstall it later. Big mistake. i’m like other iPhone games, reinstalling WordWars does, in fact, cause all data to be lost. I lost my friends, coins, everything. Then I couldn’t locate my friends to re-invite them. So that was problem number one. Problem number two was a big one. That began about three weeks ago. My game started glitching badly. First I stopped receiving invitations to new games, and only found out that someone else had started game when I received a “you timed out” notice. Then I had to start manually checking each game to find out if it was my turn to play. The game did not automatically register that the other person had played his or her turn. That is a huge issue. Two days ago I found out that people are not receiving my game invitations. Another big problem. Finally, the game does not appear to have any way to contact in-game customer support. Not that customer support is always helpful in other games, but at least there is a customer support icon to click. Not in Word Wars. Bottom line is that a decently, enjoyable game developed big problems. Hopefully, the developers will see this review, and get to work. Also, having a customer support icon, and an actual customer support team, is crucial.

Here is the deal…. First of all I love this game, I could totally get used to the ungodly amount of ads if the other issue was not so bad. To the developers!!!!!!!…..give us a no chat option. There are so many predators on this game that want to know every single thing about you and if you don’t answer them they leave your score hanging….also they ask for money from you and they actually get mad at you if you tell them to shove off. You telling people to be respectful does not work. Nor do any of the scammers listen to your rules. The game would be more enjoyable if we could just turn off chat. Not to mention it would be a better place for those of us who actually want to play the game. If you let your daughters play…….good luck!

Best and worse game !. This is the first review I have ever written! If I could give this game a 10+ stars, I would! It ranks as one of the top 3 games I have ever found here! And if I could give this game a -10 stars, it would get that rating too!!! And the reason is because it has the most ads I have ever encountered in a game. Yes,I know ads are needed,but, this is overkill! After you play your first game of the day you get not just one, but two or even three ads! And then after almost every other game it starts that many ads again! It breaks concentration and really takes any fun away from playing. And to make it even worse, a lot of the ads are repetitive…and they are sexy, misogyny filled ads, with terrible pics of women wearing or doing bizarre things! There are reasons some of us don’t play certain games like those, or even war games…terrible! I haven’t played this game in several days now which is unusual for me…and I think I will have to delete this game…and that is sad, since it could be so great! Thanks for listening !

A just-okay experience. This is a good game. It does what is asked of it, to have online scrabble games. It’s fun. Overall, the gameplay is good. But I’m here to complain about my experience. This game has a pretty awful experience. What do I mean by that? I’m talking about the AMOUNT OF ADS. I know I sound really generic complaining about ads, but this game has way too many, to put it simply! Every couple moves, there is an ad! That doesn’t sound too bad, but it’s awful! Especially when you have multiple games going at once! I found out that it’s faster to just close the game and restart it rather than to watch a full ad. That is abosutely awful. Nobody wants to do that. This DRASTICALLY makes the game less fun because I constantly have to be closing the app. And let me tell you, NOBODY is going to pay MONTHLY subscription so they can play this game uninterrupted. This would have been a four, or five star review if it weren’t for this awfulness, but now it’s a two star review.

Taxigirl. I like this game because it gives you the option to exchange your tiles and not loose your turn or have to buy them. But one of the things among a few other things that really bugs me, is that they pester you to death to invite your friends and family to play. But when you do, you can’t find them for some reason. They evidently keep no competent records of people who have registered, that you can access and look up people you know and want to play. Forget about that stupid web address they send you, because it doesn’t work. Maybe one day they will wise up and correct that problem. If they do, more people would probably play this word game instead of the other popular word game 🤔.

Very glitchy .. game stop lot. Really fun game! (Played 2 days so far) Game does abruptly stops way too often. First I thought it was my Internet and then I noticed it only happens when I play this game. Lots of glitches with score and percentage too. It’s not a smooth running program. One other disappointment is the extremely often advertisements breaks IN the game .. not after or before game. (I like playing Scrabble with speed) that will not happen with this game. Every word you play advertisement follows… and don’t accidentally hit the very top or bottom of your screen you have more advertisements. Seconds turns into many minutes of advertisement. Don’t get me wrong, I’m OK with the advertisement because I have purchased quite a few games that away but, to offer $9.99 to be advertisement free is a little steep. I just read past reviews.. issues have been going on for years..no developers change/update .. not gonna get hooked on this game so I’m deleting today!

Be Aware of Fake Profiles. I enjoy the up, but people need to be aware of fake accounts. They pretend to be players, but their interest is to engage in a false online relationship to eventually, asks for money!! They’re very street smart, so be careful!! Always look at their profiles and check their scores. They typically, have way more losses than winnings!! There’re fake men as well as fake women… they look very pretty, but most of their pictures are stolen!! I’d wish there was a way to prevent these people to access the app. This review is mostly about this issue. I’ve played with women who have told me of falling into these men! It breaks my heart when innocent people deal with this situation!! Other than that, it’s a great way to spend time and work out brains!! There’re glitches here and there , so update the app often!!

Good game but……….. Reading other reviews I see others complain about the men who want to chat and if you don’t they generally resign. I don’t believe they are trying to use this as a dating app, more that they are trying to get information to rip people off, asking where you are can they call you will you give them a phone number all while using fake flattery, it is annoying I don’t believe any of the profiles are real. If the creators could somehow see these guys that resign all the time maybe they could be blocked. For other players I recommend not chatting and definitely don’t give them any personal information! Other than that I really like the game.

Like the Game But Improvements Suggested. I am in agreement with many others that I don’t like men trying to connect with me during this game. I am here to play it not to find a mate. I have one. I don’t dislike the chat feature totally just that part of it. Secondly since the last update my iPhone 11 has been very temperamental about moving the letters around when I’m attempting to find a good fit. Maybe you can look into that. Lastly I’ve had words that were actually words but weren’t accepted, how or where can we submit those for consideration? I do think there should be a limit on how many days the game is left open maybe three at most. Right now I’m seeing about five.

Like this but . . .. Timing out takes too long. After 2 days of no moves from someone should be long enough. I have several games going and no one wants to play. I understand there are other things to do. And we may be in different time zones. I understand that, but after a couple of days, they should time out. Now it takes 7 days. People don’t want to quit a game because it counts as a loss. It’s very frustrating! You can only earn three tickets to play the fast track short game. Meanwhile, players are waiting for a new short game to start and are losing out on tickets while they are playing the main game. I don’t think there should be a limit or either up it to 5 or 10.

Word Wars. Loved the game , someone needs to tell the scammers typing from the Exact same script .. who are all “ independent contractors “… who live in a specific Capital of a state .,but work overseas .Who are all divorced, or widowed , have custody of 1-2 children , they all ,because of their job need to Chat privately because they can’t always play the game . Duh chatting to a phone App is the same as chatting in the game .The question of … How is the weather over there ? When you don’t know where over here is , and no matter what you say …. It’s always a nice place .Most people after the second chat know you are scammers …… go somewhere else and aggravate people who actually play the game ….. And for heaven sake … stop saying Brilliant move , when a person makes a 3 point move .

Great word puzzle. Feb. 16, 2020. I do have a problem. You have ads and I accept this but there’s one in particular I’d like you to check. It’s for Pyramid Solitaire. When the ad is finished I’m not able to get back to the game. The ad won’t disappear. I’ve even downloaded it the game but there’s still no fixing the problem. Please check into this. WordWhiz is great. I especially love that when I got further into the map there are tournaments. The lengths of time varies. Some go for a few days. TRY WORD WHIZ. YOU’LL LOVE IT! Ok, now I’ve got another problem. You just changed the icon for Super Swap and when you did I lost 20 that I’d saved up. Where are they? I want them back!

Fun game spoiled by ads. I love playing this game, but there are some glitches. First of all, there are lots of ads and often times you cannot turn off the audio or volume during the ad. There are ads for other games that say there are no ads whatsoever in that game like royal match but I already have the game and don’t want to watch the annoying ads. I paid the $9.99 for one month and although I didn’t get ads while I was playing against opponents, there were ads popping up frequently during the daily showdown games. I canceled my subscription quickly after I realized they were indeed ads even though I paid. There are also glitches during the daily show down. It is hard to keep track of when your points are used (this is also true for the regular games against opponents other than the computer) and the letters often change when you go to play them and not as they appeared in the tray. I like to play this game to relax, but not to meet or chat with other people.

Crashes and kicks me off frequently. I love the game but it simply kicks me off the board in the middle of a play. Also when I buy the power ups they have been disappearing . Just so many tech issues . It’s not a very smooth playing game either . The tiles stick and sometimes they even change the letter as I’m placing them on the board. Somebody get to work on these bugs. It could look a bit nicer too. Kinda dull. I still enjoy the play tho. So after several days of this game crashing and then not even opening so you can play .. I’ve decided to delete it . It’s just too risky to have this kind of app in my phone .others on the game are messaging me about the same issue . I guess it’s ok for the IT people to just ignore the issues . Words with friends is a good option. I’ll be playing there from now on.

100% the best game ever, you’re crazy not to download and play this fun game!. I think it’s a great game. I like how many games you can play at a time, you don’t have to finish a game right away, just play when you have time. It’s super relaxing, I do like the feature that you can tap on a word and figure out the meaning. Something that found really interesting is you can challenge a player if you believe that their word isn’t valid. I’m a big lover of the game scrabble but I never play on the board cause I lose all the pieces, I enjoy not having to worry about that with an online game like this. There’s also another thing that I truly appreciate about this game, you don’t need to spend real money to enjoy this game, “prices” so to speak for hints, or other game bonuses are reasonable and it isn’t really difficult to earn money in this game. I love it! I highly recommend this game! No complaints what so ever. So much fun! Would recommend to literally anyone, you could be 6 years old to like 90+ years old and love this game. I’m addicted to this game, and have already recommended this amazing game to many of my coworkers and friends. Download it! So much fun, no pressure, easy to play, self explanatory, and just overall an anxiety free and relaxing game.

Great fun BUT …. The main issue I have with this game is that there’s this list of challengers at the top which supposedly you have started games with BUT you didn’t. Sometimes they’re just there and sometimes you accidentally touched the screen going though to find the people that you really are in games with - and then the people who you aren’t playing with but the game says you are start sending you rude messages: “ play your move already “ etc. and I’m not even playing them ! I don’t know why they’re in such a hurry for me to beat them anyway and I always do. Do these people do nothing but play the game all day and night? What’s the point of them putting you in games that you didn’t start? I don’t know. The game encourages chat, I don’t know why. They should just put the games/opponents that you are playing and have chosen on the top and all the other options underneath. Drop the messaging. Otherwise it’s a great game.

frustrated. I absolutely love this game the concept all the elements to it make it fun for me if there was a spin on being able to switch up letters by buying power ups. However this is the only game I have on my phone it freezes every couple of turns the pop-up to come up each time and when it gets to the pump up it freezes and stays there I have to repeatedly close the app and start all over again it’s bad enough to deal with the pop-ups but I understand it’s a revenue for the creators, but it crashing and freezing really stinks I have the updated version. End it does this to me on two separate phones I don’t know if it doesn’t like me or is it good you guys can fix I hope it gets better cause I’m on the verge of quitting even though I love it

Great Game!. This is my favorite game for sure! There are a lot of ads but I love the strategy required offensively and defensively. Unfortunately, fairly often the game uses my boosts when I did not intend to use them because in dragging the letters onto screen, it comes close to the option. Oh well, I guess I can always use them later even though it was not my intent. Also, the boost that looks like a light bulb that will reveal a word that can be played is almost always much fewer points than words I can find. I guess it is meant for use only if you have no options whatsoever. If I’m using points, I’d like it to benefit me and at least reveal a reasonable word with reasonable points. I also wish players would keep chat focused primarily on the game being played and not ask personal questions. All of this said, it is LOTS of fun, most players are challenging and respectful. It’s a great way to unwind and keep your brain sharp. 😊👍👍

Like a dating site? Lots of creeps. The game is fun. BUT after just about every word play is an ad to watch. It allows you to chat with other players. I get a lot of chat requests from men who ask me where I live, what the weather is like, what I am wearing right now, and if I will give them my google chat app information so I can chat with them. It’s more like a dating site for creeps. And if you don’t want to talk to them on another app, don’t want to tell them what you’re wearing right now - they won’t continue playing the game. The game will just time out and it ends up being a waste of your time. There’s no way of reporting a player or their conversations, you only have a way to mute them. So again, they won’t continue playing the game and it’s a waste of time. So obviously I stopped accepting play requests from men because there are SO MANY creeps on here. But then the women do the same thing. I’m sure the chat feature was put on to make the game fun but it’s really just a way for weird creepy men trying to chat.

Suggested Tweaks. My #1 issue with the app is: The CHAT WINDOW- Only allowing you to see ONE LINE as you type, but allows you to continue typing BLINDLY. This only creates the necessity to send corrections, often multiple times........because the keyboard is very outdated too! Speech to text would be very expedient! Also, using SOME emojis can totally lock-up the app causing me to come very close to deleting my otherwise favorite place to spend hours. The rest of these suggestions are more or less me venting: Would be nice to have: single tap remove previously placed letters in reverse order and hold the remove button to pull them all off. Also, would be nice to have chat open for a few moments following each game..... for congratulations and to discuss continuing or meeting back later, etc. I have always, even with Scrabble, thought the game would be better with another row of “plain” squares bordering the entire board.......as it is, there just isn’t enough room for very many longer words. Of course, the ads are always there... but after a person has seen the same ones twenty+ times, or more, it seems, they could make more sales elsewhere!

Mama. I have had this game for quite awhile and have always enjoyed it. Unfortunately there have been recent changes that took the fun out of playing. Coins are offered to purchase and you can play different games and challenges to receive more coins but there is no longer a place to exchange your coins for ANYTHING! You previously could collect enough coins to use to purchase power ups as exchanging tiles, or receiving optional plays. Now you can have thousands of coins but absolutely nothing to do with them. It makes no sense and took the thrill of getting coins away. Probably going to have to find another similar game that stays on top of glitches such as this. I have sent several messages to tech support to no avail.☹️

Old timer. The game is awesome, its the people who come on here to chat that mess things up. You can choose to ignore them, and when you do they just do not play with you anymore they do not finish the game and so you are automatically the winner. There are a-lot of players that are amazing, that challenge you and some that are not that good, but in the end, the game is addicting. Just ignore those players that want to chat and you will be just fine. I only wish that the games in which the chatter leaves because you do not want to chat, that those players are penalized somehow, like if they do that 3 or more times they are blocked from the game. This is not an online dating site, its a game. A darn good one too. Don't mess it up.

Deleting but sad about it. I love this game and got so addicted to it. It’s been fun playing with strangers who don’t know each others skill. I like that you can hold on the word and the definition will pop up. You can start small games with people or long ones. And you can play with a robot if you’re waiting on other players. It was pretty great. The ads got to be waaaay too much. Sometimes you could close out if it early and other times you’d have to watch the whole thing. They started popping up after every play of a word. It glitches and slows down my phone. Worst of all it heats up my phone INSTANTLY. I will open the game and not even be 5 minutes in before I have to take off my phone case to cool down my phone. It seems too ridiculous to be taking my case off every time I want to play. So I’m deleting it. So sad 💔💔💔

Overwhelming at times. I actually love playing this game but the number of invites I get to play gets overwhelming so I stop playing altogether. I cannot possibly play 10 or more games at once. While I do know I have the option to decline, I don’t like doing that. I like accepting invites. I just wish sometimes I could turn accepting invites off or set a limit. The moment I get all the games cleared out here comes 10 more invites. I don’t know if they are making me player of the day and that’s why I get so many at once. Maybe there should be an option to opt in or out of being player of the day, I don’t know. There are glitches and a ton of ads that I live through but other than that, good game.

Enjoy it but problems need addressing. Can’t say how much I’ve enjoyed this game! Totally didn’t expect it. There are PROBLEMS though. The boost icons are in the way and are unintentionally used. People you are actively playing a game with are listed with people requesting matches. Problem here is your scrolling through people’s requests to find active games and accidentally starting tons of games with others! Very frustrating! There is no way to cancel the game without forfeiting and counting those unintentional games as a loss😡. The active games need to stay at the top of the lists but we should be given a cancel option if nothing is played. These games hang out in for days before being timed out! A lot of time the games seem to bog down with ads freezing up with no options to exit. This happens a lot. Also there’s a offensive sexual ad that’s unbelievable! Can’t skip it. Beware if your letting kids on here!!! Really hope they make some refining changes soon bc I love the game.

Word wars game completely stopped working.. I play this game every day and it suddenly stopped working. I’ve tried everything possible even getting a new phone. I was do. You can hit the icon it try’s to open but immediately shuts down. Sometimes it it lets the k ing for friend but doesn’t circle and shuts Don. Sometime the game will omen by as soon as I start to play it shuts down. There is a small blur on the game screen and I’ve seen it before and it will shut down but starts right up. I hope you can fix it. I tried a factory reset but it did nothing. It’s been going on for 15 hours. I love this game and play over 50 regular players. I hope it starts working. Thank you, Amanda. C

Missing Tiles. I really enjoyed playing the game until I started noticing that occasionally it was absolutely impossible to beat some opponents because of the letter tiles I was getting. So at the start of each new game I would look at the letter tiles I received. To my surprise the letters Q and X were missing. Some times it would be the Z or J. My point is those are high scoring letters. You can’t make too many high scoring words using 1 , 2 and 3 point words. I don’t like playing when the playing isn’t fair for both sides. I’ve noticed people I’m playing have the same problem. So is this a glitch or is the game rigged so it makes one side win or loose?

A fun game, but …. There are some glitches, such as people you are actually playing being listed among those requesting. Also, there are an inordinate number of men who use the chat either as a pick-up forum or information mining, or both; I’m not sure which. I just know that they all say about the same things, in bad English that doesn’t seem to match their skill in the game, and they all “want to be my good friend” and “get to know [me] better.” They invariably end up asking for my personal email so they can “chat” without having to worry about playing the game. Needless to say, I do not oblige. It is a pain. I wish the game had an easy way to report them.

Confusing. I like Scrabble, and I enjoyed the ONE game of WordWars I just played. However, I’m totally confused. You don’t provide enough information for new players. I was down to my last two letters and it was the other player’s turn. He didn’t play. After a while I tried to play, and the game told me to wait my turn. So I waited, and the other player didn’t play. Again I tried to play, and got told it was not my turn. Eventually I gave up. I have no idea if I won or lost. I don’t believe the other player is actually a person, so I can’t imagine why the “other person/computer” didn’t play. It would have been a lot more helpful to give me some real information instead of telling me repeatedly that it wasn’t my turn.

Too Many Ads! Too Many Glitches!. This game is very addicting. I liked both the daily challenges that play fast and the challenges against other players. I actually lost myself in the play for the weekend. However, I just deleted the game because of too many ads and too many glitches. You have to watch a long ad every other play. I don’t mind some ads. I don’t mind watching them if I earn something for them. But to have to watch an add every other play is ridiculous. It does not start out that way. Your first few games don’t have so many ads. Once you have won a few games, the ads are everywhere. Also, the ads glitch. You watch a thirty second ad and then you have to watch it 5 more seconds. And then you have to go to the App Store screen so they can force you to look at it. Often, the ads glitch. You have to shut down and restart and then watch another ad. Also, the game glitches. It freezes up. When you shut down and start over, your game disappears. I just had a great game going where I had 143 points on a triple word score and the game froze. When I started over, my game was gone. If you want to pay money to play ad free, you can do so for $50 a year, but you would still have to deal with all the glitches. So not worth it.

Caution !!. The reason I say caution is the amount of people that you play with that are just there to try to hook up with someone. You can not trust these people. First they want to know where you are playing from. Then are married or single. Then what is your profession. Then if you answer, USA, single, good occupation they want you to talk to them on let’s say google chat. I have never gotten beyond that point. You cannot believe anything they say. Look at their profile. If they resign or lose at a high rate you know that they are not there to play the game. There should be a way to filter out people who show that they are doing this. The developers of this game must know this is going on and do not even warn people not to share personal info. Sad.

Game won’t work anymore. For a week I haven’t been able to play. The game partially loads and then cuts off. I restarted, deleted everything else, updated and did everything I could. I made sure my device has plenty of room, the game just won’t load. I’d hate to have to delete this game altogether. I noticed there were problems before this crash happened. It used to take a mi Ute just to move one tile. Then the definitions would pop up and I ne er requested the definition. The ads take such a long time which would make one turn last very long. But I was willing to overlook that. Now it doesn’t play at all. So disappointing. Update: I’ve had to delete the game at least once a day and download again. It was the only way it would work. This has been going on now for a week. So tonight I had to delete it again and I tried several times to download and play. The game crashes immediately. It was frustrating trying to place letters and definitions would pop up. I haven’t heard from any of the creators of the game. Nobody has reached out with any explanation or tried to help solve this problem. I will be giving it a final delete and look for a different game to play.

Fun game but…. UPDATE THE DICTIONARY!! Several words I’ve tried to use aren’t recognized. It has LOTS of problems, is confusing to navigate and has a ridiculous amount of ads. The ads you may want to watch (i.e. to reset gifting) are frequently “not available”, so I have to sit there and continually tap until one finally pops up. Their obviously limited dictionary often doesn’t recognize words that are actual true words in every other standardized dictionary. Any theme other than Default doesn’t stay applied when I exit the app even for a couple minutes; it reverts back to Default every single time. I spent mucho coins on the new xmas theme, too, and it would be nice for it to remain applied until I choose something else. Oh, and there is ZERO app support! No email, phone or online contact form.

Site shuts down; computer players. After playing the ad for Candy Crush, the app totally goes black for at least four minutes! Something is wrong here! This occurs even when watching the ad through. Also, several folks constantly use the computer to fight vs their opponents simply to score a win. This should not be allowed! Free competition is great, but if one wants to play with the computer doing all, if not most of the moves, what’s the point- to show brilliance where there is none simply because they can afford to purchase coins in order to constantly win? Such actions take away from the joy of the game! I enjoy Scrabble very much, play vs the bots every day to keep sharp, but do not enjoy a constant deluge of opponents using the computer simply to fill the board with unheard of words and higher than earned scores simply to “win” a game they, themselves, did not truly play.

Too many ads, robot players and glitches. This game plays an ad with every turn, (ridiculous) and no other games do this! It’s maddening. Also they want to charge some crazy monthly fee to get rid of ads. This is the way to bully you into paying (driving you nuts with ads). Also there are too many robot players. Most of the time you are not playing real people. You can be in the middle of a game with someone and they are requesting another game. I would say no to 3 requests and constantly get 3 more requests. (Over and over again). Some people (robots) are available to play constantly. The boosts are located in such a way that you inadvertently use them when you don’t want to, which spends your coins. I am quitting this game because the creators apparently have no idea what they’re doing. This is NOT what people want. You can’t creat a fun game then harass people.

A a really Fun Game…but. I’ve been playing this game for a few months. I like the chat and the fast pace and I can have 30 games going at once. There are functional glitches, but most games have some. I would like to be able to find specific players, especially ones I have played before. In the past month there have been audio ads in addition to the audio/visual regular ads. I hate them! They are loud and pop up randomly while you are thinking or playing, interrupting the play and the pace. As soon as one starts, I exit that screen and avoid it. If I could not avoid the audio ads, I would quit this game. They are that annoying. Overall it is easy to navigate and fun.

I enjoy the game but. I really enjoy this game. It really helps me with my anxiety and depression. But the app is CONSTANTLY GLITCHING, the app is force closing itself as soon as I go to play a person, it doesn’t load correctly, it shows words the other person didn’t even play, etc. Also when i click the X button to leave an advertisement it always opens the dang thing so it takes me out of the game!!! I HATE THAT. Please fix these bugs and issues so we can have a much more seamless experience! It shouldn’t be so hard to just play the game for a little while to de-stress. It makes it worse when we get annoyed by the issues. I would rate the game 5 stars if you just fix the messes.

Purpose of winning coins. I have been playing this game for more than a year and I truly like it. I liked that on occasion I would buy the word reveal wor whatever it's called using the light bulb. For 150 coins you could buy 3 chances. But just recently the game changed without explanation. Apparently now you have to pay real money. Then what's the purpose of winning any coins. At least have the courtesy to let us know of changes made. Very disappointed with the changes made. Or let us know how any new changes affect our playing. We could also buy other items using our coins. But those too have disappeared. Cause it clearly doesn't give us an option. Except not playing anymore.

No time for whining. A real good time with a spin off of the board scrabble game but on a great mobile format which matches you up with opponents from all over the world. They have incentives which I enjoy as personal goal challenges. You can see your achievements on your personal profile page which others see only a limited portion of if they are playing you. They do have a chat window which I use only to chat about the game at hand. I love the game and really want to improve my English diction but some players use the chat window for their own reasons and you soon learn how to find the players who love the game as much as you do so you both can enjoy the game the way it was developed to be. Just wish the chat window hat a controllable spell check feature. A bug-free environment for my iPad and iPhone is a reasonably priced game for its in-app purchases so that you may use the word radar and super swap feature. You do not have to spend a penny if you do not want to because the game really is free. The only thing I can strongly advise is parental control with young children. They do offer a profanity filter, but for young children, I feel from my experiences, the filter alone is not enough.

Annoyed!. This game is so rigged. Numerous times when I’m in a match that has come to the end it will let the opponent play their turn then say there’s no more possible moves before ending the game when I know my remaining tiles could have been placed and won me the game but instead I end up losing. And another thing that desperately needs fixing is the dictionary. What’s good for one player should be good for the rest. “invalid” words can’t then be used successfully by another person. Extremely frustrating!

So disappointed!. I have been playing and enjoying this game since the beginning of the year. Two weeks ago I and I haven’t been able to get into the game. It’s there but it closes every time I open it. I have tried everything I can to get back in. I haven’t had any trouble with any other games on my iPad.

Game glitches. I have several issues with this game, in fact it has been crashing for two days now and I only receive a generic message to my complaint. The game is littered with fake players who play much better than their average scores suggest. Furthermore they are frequently at the top of the leaderboard despite me winning against them every time. Very disappointing, I guess I’ll delete the app if these issues aren’t rectified

Slowing. I play all the time, however just today the game has started dropping out and app closes. Have to reopen app. It’s annoying as playing different games all at once , then you have to work which one you were playing last . Please fix

Word wars glitchy and freezes often. Keeps freezing on bot play. I watch the video. Play freezes then when I go out of the so and go back in it wants me to spend coins to continue a play that should have continued after I watched the ad. I’m not long from pulling the pin and deleting the ap.

Stars are for the actual game not in game problems. Lots of freezing and crashing .still had no feedback from you after I told you there were problems with my coin being stolen and my power ups disappearing. Scarf banner.. Can you please remove the aqua Scarf banner that tells me I’ve reached 50%. The banner comes up you press the x to remove it and it covers the top part of the board.

Drop outs. Love your game BUT...... I’ve had to reload your game and lost all my coin which was 3000 😡 because your game keeps dropping out , your game is the only one that does this and it’s very annoying..... fix your glitches, it’s happened to many times ,can’t get passed the main frame it doesn’t load properly and I’m not loosing more coin in reloading ,which I shouldn’t have to do every few days .

Too many ads. Really like playing this game but the ads have driven me nuts, repetitive, long and they seem to be increasing in frequency, so I’m deleting the game altogether. Shame because it’s a good game. Some ads run for 30 & 45 seconds and that happens after every second or third move. Also the dictionaries need updating and to be consistent, sometimes a word is acceptable and others it isn’t.

Love this game. This is a great game and helps keep your mind active and healthy although it can become very addictive. The adds aren’t really a bother being quite short so I’m happy with them being there. Keep up the great work.

Too many bugs!!!. As much as I love this game, the bugs are driving me crazy!!! There are blank ads that come up you can’t get out of. When collecting coins from ads, if someone has a turn it stops you getting the coins. The last few days it just continually drops out. Stupid me reloaded the game yesterday and lost everything except for when I started playing the game. Tonight it’s dropped out 6 times in a row not stupid enough to reload again. Worst game for bugs ever!!!

Was loving it. I started playing this game 6 months ago and loved it. I played it all the time until two days ago, when every time I go to play it crashes! Disappointing and frustrating!

Great game. This game is fun and challenging. You can challenge easy players or test yourself and play against stronger opponents. Some players are chatty and message you about your life , which I don’t like but it’s easy to turn chat off. I play every day

Way too many bots!. Fantastic alternative to the well known word making board game. HOWEVER, the zoom view as the default when placing tiles and not offer the option to disable this feature is close to a deal breaker for me. This zoom view feature frustrates my concentration and enjoyment of the app. I contacted the developer and await a response. Provide an option to disable the zoom view feature and I will probably never play the original trademarked app again.

Love this game. I love playing this game... Some of the stats don’t show up for me... Head to Head count shows up only for a few players but don’t show up for a few, though I have played a lot of games with them. I really want to see head to head count... Also don’t like the fact that there are so many accounts that have photos of real people but it’s actually a computer playing against you... they are online all the time and take quick turns and you always win the game against them.

Okay game but don’t use msgs. Games good. Addictive. But the msgs ruin the game. People (mainly men) msg asking the exact same questions in the exact same order. hey how are you? Where are you from? What’s the weather like there? Are you married with kids? Can we get to know each other better? Where do you work? Can we talk on omegal? Can you send me your email so we can contact each other outside of game? Once you kindly decline they stop playing there turn, if you don’t reply they stop playing there turn. Which is infuriating especially if there is 4-5 of them a day sometime up to 10.

Frustrating. Love playing this game but suddenly I can no longer play it on my iPhone as the app just won’t open. I’ve tried soft rebooting phone, turning phone on and off. Everything except deleting the app (as I don’t want to lose all the data and all my stats) I play it on my iPad but all statistics are different to my iPhone. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this. Getting very frustrated that I haven’t been able to play it for days.

Fun Game if you ignore the msgs & drop outs. I actually really enjoy playing this game up until it continuously kept shutting down every time I opened it. Couldn’t even get past the Home Screen which is annoying. I get that most good games are played against bots. I have experienced the same thing as other people have reported…having someone messaging (mostly stating they are men from the US), asking if you’re married, wanting to take the conversation to another chat platform to get to know me better & after you say no, they immediately end the game. Still happens regardless if it’s a photo of you or a random pic of nothing. I just like playing word games, I’m not playing this game to feel like I’m online dating!

Yeh nah. way to many adds that glitch. Keeps stalling and exiting itself from the game. Tried all rebooting methods mentioned and nothing works. Game will NOT open now - HELP. I loved the game but for over a week it freezes and refuses to open past the “finding online players” screen. Dictionary. Love the game however the dictionary needs updating, lots of words are not allowed however they are used every day and are in the Oxford dictionary. Example Oz. Also a lot of the men playing are asking a lot of personal questions. I don’t participate in conversations anymore because it was getting creepy.

Having to Reload. Love the game. Very annoying when it bombs out and won’t open so have to delete and reload. Takes up a fair bit of memory and battery

Needs some work. I have only been playing for 24 hours but already removed it from my screen. A new opponent played the word owners as an opening word on the board. But the game registered that she had played the word peter. Every word I played was not allowed as I was trying to match up with what I saw on the board, not what the App had wrongly registered as peter. Too frustrating to be enjoyable

This game has potential.. But, and it’s a big but for me. The app is confusing and hard to navigate. I enjoy playing a game in real time which works sometimes. There are invitations to play games but as soon as you click on an invitation you’re playing and there’s no option to decline. I find myself timed out of games I never started, or unable to find games that are underway. Also, some days there is a ‘game of the day’ and others there isn’t. Until it’s easier to navigate I’ll stick with Words with Friends thanks.

Great game. The only problem is too many adds, I do understand that you need adds to make the game free. Just too many and some are so hard to get rid of!

Ruined by the ads. I normally don’t review but the ads here are a joke. I don’t want to pay to remove them so I put up with losing 30 seconds to watch an ad every 2 or 3 moves. Now ads are taking 1 minute. also, Now I have a banner ad right on top of the button you need to press to play your turn making the game unplayable. Don’t waste your time. The app is also unstable and often crashes. Now searching for another scrabble app.

Freezing. Love the game but please fix the ‘freezing’ Last time this happened I re installed- this fixed the problem but meant I lost more than 3,000 coins and 100 Super Swaps …

Remove chat. I, like other women, are sick of being hit on in the chat. Remove this function or allow us to mute it for more than 48 hours. I had two parents with dementia … I only play this game to exercise my mind and hopefully prevent dementia not to get harassed. Also inconsistent as what words are allowed and what isn’t.

Problem no.2. I am still having problems with the ads freezing my game, 2 in particular a lightning link and an army recruiting ad, now this happens every time I play so I am having to delete the ap and reinstall — not much fun at all, and is most frustrating — is anyone else having the same problem? I do not have this problem with other games I play. I really like the game and chatting with my opponents, however am getting tired of this problem. Fun game. Fun game only negative is the ridiculous amount of ads. If the owner wasn’t as greedy as they are and just charge a once of no ad cost that would be good but to charge people monthly etc is a rip off. Will continue to play until I get fed up then go to a similar game that doesn’t charge constant fees

Ads are beyond infuriating. Game itself is fine and fun to play. But the ads take up about 40% of the game play - after almost every turn, there is a loud ad that is hard to skip - some run for nearly 30 seconds. The ads are bad enough but the fact that the volume can’t be altered on some of them has made me rage quit on so many occasions. I will delete this app soon - reluctantly as I play with a friend online, but the ads are driving me mad.

Great Game. Love playing this game. Great way to test your word skill, although some of the words played by opponents would not be found in any dictionary I know of. Also frustrating that I currently have over 40 unfinished games where I am ahead and the opponent will not finish the game.

Love it... ‘Bot’😂.... Love the game itself, very addictive... but sometimes gets frustrating if you play ‘smartbot’ games, it makes up words to suit its letters!!... when you ask for a definition, it states’ this is a ‘wordwars’ word (but no definition available)... or it uses the middle name of an artist... or disused Latin words!!! Smartbot words should be kept to Oxford English Dictionary words... to be fair!!😉

Scammers go unpunished. Game was good but the fact that they let scammers play and keep scamming makes me regret ever installing this game. Support says sorry good luck and let’s them be on their merry way to scam others. How about get rid of reported scammers? Crashes constantly. I absolutely loved this game and even purchased a yearly subscription. But for the last 3 weeks, the game has crashed every time I load it. It stays open for 30 seconds max before shutting down. I’ve emailed in to support, and they just say they’re working on an update. I’ve asked for a refund and get no response. Not impressed.

I could give this a better rating, however. OMG😡 what is with all the ads? you can’t even get into the game without an ad you can’t even play a full round let alone half around without an ad and the ads on top of that are super long. 😠🤯

Crashes. Good game but the app keeps crashing when I load it.

Fraud Alert. The game it self is fun enough, but not only are the ads annoying, but they allow anyone, including know scammers, to purchase ads. Current get the free $75 Tim Hortons gift card scam appearing with no X to close (you have to click the link which my fraud blocker will not allow, so I have to close the ap and restart to get around it. In addition to this blatant scammer ad, they also allow advertisers of offensive apps (ie: the make over app) and other advertisers that put a fake X on the ad to get you to click the ad (the real X usually appears a few seconds later over too the fake one). The fact Word Wars allows this is enough to not ever pay for the app nor recommend it to ANYONE (well, maybe to people I do not like).

Could be so great!. If not for the ads and often it drops/blocks me out. Lots of games dropped out in the middle. Very frustrating because this couldbe a really fun game if not for the glitches.

Times you out and last update. Last update is awful. All of a sudden I’m timed out of most of my games. The timer on your games is so inaccurate. I won’t play for two days and it will say it’s been 6 days. Your games aren’t in the right order anymore of who’s timing out next. Could be a great game if all the glitches are fixed. Lowering my rate as the game seems to be getting worse instead of better.

Ads are misogynist and offensive. The game is fine however I find the ads are very derogatory towards women. I’m not sure if word wars reviews the ads they show on their platform but they really should. All of the ads I have been seeing lately are about some poor woman who is rejected by a man who has been cheating on her and how she needs to make herself better to get him back. Its 2022 you need to do better.

Can’t get power ups. Used to be my favourite game but since the last update, I cannot use my word points to get power ups!

Forced website ads. The game was fun but in the last month all of their ads now forces your browser to the advertisers webpage every time. It’s acting like malware

Fun game. Too many ads…and too expensive to purchase.. Would easily purchase if there was a one time fee. $13.49/month or $67/year is ridiculously overpriced.

There was a recent update to my IPad and iPhone for this App/game and I hate what you’ve done ,I don’t like the update because of the introduction of coloured tiles ,sooooooo annoying please get rid of the coloured tiles and bring it back to the way it was with no different coloured tile 😡😡😡

Freezes. Love the game but last update causes freezing have to powered down to reset

Need fewer ads!. The amount (and especially the length) of the ads are unreasonable. Makes the app unenjoyable. Will be deleting.

Crash. Game crashes/freezes a lot, whenever I go to claim the coins that my game friends have sent me, the game crashes and when I reopen it, I find that I lost all the coins I was gifted, so I have to start to collect them all over again but the cycle continues;game keeps crashing.

Word wars. Love this game but the last week it keeps kicking out back to home page. What gives?

Annoying ads. Some of the ads are annoying and hard to get rid of. You try closing out the ads and it takes numerous attempts before it will close. One ad recently covered up the play button and the device had to be shut down to be able to continue playing. I cannot remember the name of the game the was for but it was Royal King or something like that,

Too Many ADS. I used to subscribe to the game but it’s too pricey. Came back to it a year later and the number and length of ads is unreal. I like the game but not enough to put up with the ads or shell out that amount of $$$

Word wars. I have tried for 3 consecutive days and cannot get in the play with my chosen partner. She has nudged me and there is nothing I can do about it. The game says loading but the soon as the next screen appears it clicks off not allowing me to play…

Best Scrabble Alternative. This is the best scrabble type game that I’ve come across so far. Easy to accumulate coins and I like the extra features. Cons: they allow words that aren’t recognized in the scrabble dictionary. This affects gameplay because often I will play a word and not anticipate someone playing off of that word, but they end up squeezing in some nonsense word anyway, sometimes scoring big points. Also the chat is ridiculous! So many men on there try to chat me up and often ask for my personal contact info and they are very persistent. Luckily I can mute them but I would like the option to just turn chat off completely.

Hard to open, crashes, ripped off my coins for power ups. I was actually enjoying the game in spite of the fact that it would regularly stall when trying to open it and would occasionally crash. Then it popped up a message asking me to rate it. I only gave it 3 stars, because it crashes so much. Then suddenly all the coins I had purchased disappeared, along with some of the functionality, including the power ups and even the option to buy more coins! I consider this THEFT and will certainly not play this game any more. I came back to post this detailed description of the risks you take with this game if you dare to give an honest rating/review.

How can I get it my app. I love this game but the last update you had had locked me out of the game. When I open the app it just goes back to the main screen or it might open the app but then freezes. Is there anything that can be done or do I have to take the chance of deleting the game and reinstalling with the chance that I could lose everything I have earned? Otherwise this game is awesome!

Crashes constantly. This game is fun. However, it crashes constantly… i mean every time i use it, several times during a play session a few minutes long. And like others mentioned, it’s been a fee days since i can’t even play. The app starts opening up and then crashes. Without this crashing issue, this would be a 5-star game… but today alone i have had to delete the app and re-install multiple times… and i lost all my games when i logged back in. Extremely frustrating. Advertisers will start leaving if the developers don’t fixe the issue, as people will stop playing. There are many other word game apps, the developers should address the crashing issue.

Game is great but no help area. I have been trying to play this game for several weeks. It is a great game, very similar to scrabble. The problem is I keep getting shut out of the app. This has happened twice already and although I am going to try to play again, I am afraid it will happen again. There is no support team to contact which is a shame as I would have given this game 5 stars if there had been a way to get in touch with a help center. Be forewarned; this game will get you hooked but if you have problems there is no way to get help.

Force closing and ads not completing. I love this game, however, it force closes a lot or will simply stop working. This game has a lot of bugs that should be removed to make the game play smoother. Also, when I watch the ads to play the bot it stops after I press the X and goes black. Then I have to close the app and watch the ad again what he is really annoying. Once those problems are fixed I have no issue making is a 5 star game. I love the fact that I can buy everything I need with the coins in the game and it's easy to gain coins as well.

Again I win Leadership and NO COINS GIVEN!!. After having this app a few weeks, dealing with slow servers constantly black screening on ads or freezing, zombie moving letter tiles into place or screen freezes, I play through it all getting to the top of leadership board- poof the next day a totally new board and no wins for me (5,000 ahead of the pack. If someone had beaten me, I still would have won something. We have a screenshot I’m going to share on Snapchat and Twitter. Absolutely crazy to treat the people this way! To what end? I was at 14k+ with 10 hours to go. Had a feeling they’d do this again.

No chat Brazilian. I really love this game , since English is my second language , I enjoy learning new words and improving , my vocabulary . Just one thing I don’t care for , the chat . I want to enjoy the game and do not care to chat . I’m married and have no desire to be chatting with men I don’t know . Funny thing is most women want to play , but most men want to chat I had guys calling me sweetie , and dear . If you ignore them they simply resign. So at this point as soon as they start chatting , I know they’re not interested in playing but chatting. Very few guys are there just to play the game . Aside from that, it’s my favorite game at the moment. Excellent game and great pastime !

Bug in my game. I paid the fee to have ads removed for a year so now have a financial investment in this app. The problem is the app shuts down all the time; sometimes as soon as I see the logo Playsimple, othertimes as I see “looking for players” and yet other times as I am playing a word. I am now uninstalling and reinstalling this app multiple times a day and shutting my iPad completely off and rebooting. No difference. I have other apps on this iPad with no problem at all. I have never seen an upgrade to this app. Love the game and the people but highly do not recording the app until this is remedied. Plus I’d love my money back.

Ads Causing App to Crash, but Great Game!. For the past week, this wonderful “free” word app game crashes and/or will not load once certain ads appear between matches (at least during SmartBot matches). I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but the crashing is so regular that it’s almost not worth reinstalling. Please advise! Otherwise, this app is SUPERB, especially being able to play against SmartBot, and not being forced to play “online with friends.” Is there something I should try in order to prevent app crashes between every other round?!?!

Lost Coins Just Paid For. I love this game, it’s so much fun. Tonight, however, I paid $4.99 for 650 coins to buy boosters. They showed up on my screen for about 15 seconds then disappeared. I see the place to restore purchases but when I click on that nothing happens. Developer, if you are reading this, can you please restore those 650 coins! I couldn’t find anywhere in the game to contact help so asking here. My game ID is 15v0bc8y, Thank you for making such a great and fun game. 😊

Word wars. This is a fun game, but it constantly loads then turns off. My daughter also had this problem and finally deleted and then reloaded (losing all coins and friends of course). I’m about ready to do so because I haven’t been able to get play at all today. This fox’s the problem for my daughter (so far), but I’ve read where people have deleted and reloaded only to have it crash consistently again. It’s my favorite word game so far, I just wish this crashing problem would get resolved!

Problems. I’ve enjoyed this game for two years now. But you need to fix the problems. As soon as I try to take my turn, the game goes back to my Home Screen. I can’t even get to see the board. I have been trying to take my turn, but the board disappears. Also, why is my opponent showing up in the list of challengers? I liked it when the games I am playing appeared below. Less chance to start a game by accident.

Watch out. This app is a cover for shady international game developers. Watch out. App has you create an account. Which is fine, except for if you want to delete it. For some reason their support team refuses to delete accounts. Why is this? After asking them to delete my account they took me in circles, and after 6 emails, flat out just stopped responding. Horrible service, and makes me wonder about their intentions. In their replies they listed stats they knew about my phone like the battery level, the make and model of my phone, and some other things I don’t understand. I NEVER gave them permission to access system information like this. All I can say is watch out for this company.

Like scrabble. No complaints- other than the gazillion ads (not paying for ad free because I only use these games as nightly “wind downs” after a stressful work day or some killer of time if I’m waiting in a long line somewhere) If you’re opponents are LIVE playing the games are fast paced. If they take a few hours to make a move, you have the ability to start as many games with other opponents of greater or lesser skill set. For now it’s a sufficient enough game, I’m sure anyone with a decent knowledge of words in a dictionary or thesaurus will enjoy.

Ridiculously packed w ads!. I like this game a lot, but I would love this game if there wasn’t an ad before, during AND after the game. Usually the SAME FRIGGING AD! Over and over, until I have to quit playing before I smash my phone. Soon it will become too hard to put up with and I uninstall the game. Like I have with dozens of others. Please, give us an ad free day a week, or hour a day. Does greed really rule the world?

Yes and no. This is a Scrabble-type game. Mostly, it functions well, but it gets glitchy often. The ads seem to take over all the Ram on my tablet, and then some! They get stalled out, and the game also gets stalled out. It sends notifications to meet an opponent, and then when you open the app, the opponent is gone. Especially if it is one of the computer opponents. Another problem I have seen, is that when tiles get low, sometimes a letter will hide! You have to drag the letters back and forth to see it in your tray.

The game is good….but. I live the game, I live the format BUT I couldn’t tell you how many times the game freezes and I have to clean my ipad and start all over….waiting for it to slowly open, followed by ads, ads, ads and more ads, at their own pace, slowly going through each ad. Sometimes it gets so frustrating, I just leave the game or play one game on my phone and the other on my ipad so while one is going through the ads, I’m on the other electronic playing the game

Fun game, but ads after every play are a bit much. I enjoy the challenge of playing this game against others. The only downside is way too many ads, that go on forever. They intentionally force you to watch 1-2 minute ads, after almost every play. It’s getting old. They do offer an ad free play option if you want to pay for it. It used to be 99$ a year and now they have cut that amount in half to 49$ a year. I don’t pay to remove ads. So I suffer through all the long ads.

My favorite game BUT having issues …. Love this game but having issues with being super slow to load. Continuously exiting the game when choosing a play. Letters lock up and will not move to the board. Have to exit the game and start over the slow loading process. Many adds that will not go away unless you exit the game and then the slow process all over again. Very frustrating so I’m not playing as much as I would like!

I like the concept but too many problems. There are too many issues with this game to continue to play. I like the concept, however, It has so many issues it’s not worth it. I have to delete the app twice and start over. Works fine for a day or two and then the issues come in. I love playing the word games and having people easy to find and play, however, it doesn’t score all your letters and you lose them, the game will freeze and sometimes just close itself, it allows help from friends, but when you accept it kicks you out and you never get the bonus coins to continue to play. Would be a great game, however the glitches are too much to deal with.

Love the game. HATE the ads. I love this game. I’ve been playing for a month now and really like it but the ads are out of control. In fact, I stopped playing just now to write a review because of my annoyance with the ads. I understand the game is free and the ads are necessary but it’s so bad lately that after EVERY move I make there’s an ad. I have 30 games going and need to watch an ad before or after playing my move. Sometimes an ad pops up during my move (like I’m in the middle of moving tiles and an ad takes over) 😡 I get you can pay to stop the ads but I refuse to do that. STOP the ads! Pleaseeeee.

Fonts. It’s very frustrating that when you go into your quests to see how you can help your self , you can not read the numbers in the yellow bar because your font is white and unreadable. Such a small thing to change it to black so you can see it. I hope you change this in an update!! Other than small glitches I will play this game for a long time!! Very fun and I love the challenge of the quests!!

Too Many Ads!. Addicting game and I enjoy learning so many new words, but having to watch an ad every time I play a word is getting tiresome. And if I have 4 or 5 games in progress at one time, there seem to be more ads than plays. Sure you have an option to do away with the ads for a year for $50, but I can’t afford that. Senior citizen in fixed income and I don’t have that kind of disposable income every year. If it was once and did away with ads forever, that would be more reasonable but still more than I could pay at one time. I’m still playing, but eventually I will get too frustrated with all the ads to continue!

Thanks. Best scrabble game! However it seems some of the ads are way too long! That’s why I took a star away. I don’t mind a few but it’s getting more than that now. When you’re playing a person that is online and you have to wait so long to even play and then when you play you have to wait again so long. Might be switching if it doesn’t get better. I know they have to have to have ads but when they keep playing the same ones over and over and you don’t want them in the first place then you have to watch the whole spiel again.

Fun word game but word of warning for women.... If you are just there to play the game and not getting chatted up by tons of men, be warned. I don’t mind a little casual banter but it always gets to the point of them wanting to just talk and not play the game. There is a block feature which I have used. But there is also a feature that occasionally pops up ‘encouraging chat’, when you haven’t chatted yet. I think some men mistake that for the female actually saying hi. It’s misleading and I would like it removed. If you are there for chat, have fun. Men, keep it casual. Not every woman has to have a man.

Another crasher here. I *love* this game and had quite a streak going, lots of badges and even a word worth over 130 points! I kept 30+ games going all the time. I could do without the guy messaging me multiple times to tell me to put my letters on the red squares cause I’d get more points that way, 🤦‍♀️ but it’s no biggie :-) But for the past week it’s been crashing, and now won’t even stay on a board long enough for me to even see what letters I have. Or it just sits with the purple screen and never opens. Developers - can you please fix this? I pinky promise I’ll come write a 5- star review if it gets running again. Pretty please?

Format. I love the new format. It has been set up perfectly. Only thing that needs to be changed is the color of the TW tile. Like before it was a pinkish red color but now it mixes in with all the other tile colors. I also love that it’s purple that is my favorite color. And the only other complaint that I have is all these men pretending to be someone who they are not. Not only that but they are scammers and con artists and they say they are these Rich men but then they ask for money. So isn’t there away you could filter out these losers?

Bots. This game is relatively fun, but if you reverse image search the “people” you frequently play w/, they are mostly bots. Or at least 2 or my 3 were... This is particularly lame because the bots are able to match both your playing style and your level of play, so you are basically playing yourself after a few moves. I was hoping to improve my play by learning from others!... The only trick I’ve learned so far to weed out bots is to use the chat function, as the bots don’t seem to be able to answer questions. (Yet. God forbid.) I’ll keep on using for now, but already looking for a different app.

Game crashes every time. I’ve been playing this game almost daily for over a year and starting a few days ago, the app crashes every single time I try to play. Never even get past the intro screen to my games. The app and my iOS are all up to date too. Really hope it’s fixed soon! Such a fun game but the ads are RIDICULOUS! I’ll start playing a word and…boom… a 30 second ad pops up right in the middle and I lose my train of thought. They are excessive, repetitive and often inappropriate. It’s a lot to put up with but I do love the game, when it works.

Dictionary too broad. I enjoy this game for the most part but the problems are: - WAY TOO MANY ADS - the dictionary of acceptable words is too broad. Just try a random arrangement of letters…it will probably work! When I click on the word for a definition, it often says it is Scottish or some archaic word. How about just using a modern day English dictionary? And I appreciate when word games do not allow vulgar words - too hard to see if I won a game. Sometimes I think they just disappear. - put match request at a different place then current games. Too easy to accidentally open and if you open it, it is counted as active

Good but has some big drawbacks. As far as I can find, there is no way to opt out of the constant barrage of invitations to games started by others. I must constantly decline and frankly don’t know how long I will keep the app if there is no remedy for this. I only want to play with my personal family members. I like the change in the board’s tw dw tl dL spaces from what we are all used to in Scrabble. I like the chance to swap tiles and not lose your turn. I like the way the app indicates immediately if your guess is a word or not- just streamlines that process. We were sad Scrabble had to end but glad we found this. Overall it’s great but the game invites may be a deal breaker unless this is changed to allow me to opt out.

Works great until it crashes.. I’ve had to download this twice now. Both times I’ve gotten to a certain point, (which I can’t tell you as I can’t get in to see), and then it seems as though it doesn’t load all the way, then throws me back to my home screen. I’ve restarted my phone, tried, and same thing. I’ve tried opening it many times in a row, same thing. There’s a glitch somewhere and I lose all my progress because I have to delete it and redone load. (Yes I’m aware that I can link it, but didn’t get there yet.)

Can’t access game. All day my game has crashed every time I launch it. I am unable to do any word play or report a problem within the game. My husband who also plays is experiencing the same problem. I updated my game to but it still crashed upon startup. We both love the game but have been unable to pla all day. My husband has experienced game crashes for days. Advice?

Need Changes. Great game but… there should be a cancel option if you start a game by mistake with being counted as a lost. Also there should be more options to obtaining tile swaps, another is the badges , really what are they used for ? Cause I haven’t found any use for them at all or how to use them! Lastly lower the price so it’s more affordable, it’s too much money and not enough optional entertainment for the app. Thank you and hope that a cancel option will be added without a penalty or having to wait for days to cancel out!

I absolutely love love love this game. Best game of its kind and the players are stellar players who improve over time. This game is an excellent learning experience for anyone who wants to increase their vocabulary and spelling skills. I have been playing for over five years and I have never been bored. Highly recommend. UPDATE: PLEASE FIX YOUR APP. It freezes and glitches more & more. As your app finds greater success your technology has to improve with the increases. Come on now!! Get it together, I can’t log in to compete.

Love to give it more stars. Really enjoy this game, but game has been crashing repeatedly of late. I go into it and start a game and it just shuts down. Also, the ads are quite inappropriate. Way to tell women that they’re only worth something when they’re attractive. There’s no way I’d let my kids play this, even if it would help with their spelling and vocabulary. Plus the ads for that Royal whatever are SO annoying. Clearly the king isn’t meant to rule in his game. Lastly, the fact that I have to pay a monthly fee to get rid of ads is still ridiculous. If it was possible to pay a one time, low price fee, I’d do it, but not monthly.

Why?. What’s up with this. It still is not working. It’s worse than before! You must have fixed whatever the problem was. Don’t even recall any longer. It is my favorite game that I play. It does have it situations once and a while that are a bit irritating but overall, so much fun! Thanks to all of my opponents that have played games with me. I would recommend to anyone that enjoys word games.

Frustrating. I really enjoy this game. I’m a writer, so I love words. Unfortunately, the app is very glitchy. It freezes up constantly. When it’s not completely frozen, it’s super laggy and as I am trying to move a letter, it moves slower than my finger so it pulls up definitions or uses a power up. It also must use a lot of power because it’s the only game I play that causes my phone to get hot. I really hope that you will update this app to fix the glitches because it’s so frustrating I may end up looking for a different similar game…

Enjoy playing. I have really enjoyed playing this game against others. I like how it will match you up with players that are at your level if you want or you can go and choose who you play. It is challenging and fun. If you like word games then I recommend this one. I do have to add in that if you don’t purchase a monthly subscription then there are ads in between every play pretty much, so that can be annoying if you weren’t expecting it. You get what you pay for ;)

They refunded my money!. I really love this game but it’s been a little glitchy as of late. The other day, I accidentally ended up buying some coins I didn’t want. I immediately contacted the iTunes Store and was told that I was allowed a one time mistake and my money would be refunded. It took a few days but I got my money back. I would recommend this game to anyone. If you like puzzle type word games, this is THE ONE I would give it five stars but they really need to work on the glitches.

Not the same game on each of 3 Apple devices. I have three Apple devices that are logged into the same account. Each one has a different game ID however, which causes inconsistencies in my game play. I have reached out, by email, and have gotten no response. I would really like to be able to use a different device, and have the same games available to play that I have on the others! Could it be a programming issue? I have other games that are able to do it, and I have enabled the proper settings to make it possible. Please fix this!

Game Structure Good; Stability Poor. When I can play the game it is enjoyable. No complaints. The power up tools are a nice benefit and earning coins is easy. But I only will get a day or two of play time then I cannot get logged in. I open the app, and then anywhere in the process from the first screen displayed after opening right up into and including playing letters in a puzzle, the screen suddenly freezes and then shuts down. This will typically go on for about 24 hours before whatever the software is doing in the background clears out and I can play once again. Fix this and my app rating changes from 3 to 5 stars.

Issues since update. Unable to obtain either free power ups or free coins. When you make your selection, the screen is black, you have to swipe up to see the ad. I’ve allowed the ad to play through up to minute and a half & it still says if you x-out you will not get the reward. so you select continue watching but you still don’t get the reward. It doesn’t matter how many different ways I try, it doesn’t give you the free items. This is enough to make me just delete the game. 🙄 there are other issues with freezing and crashing. This is a fun interactive game, hope you work out the bugs.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!. I am very disappointed with this last update!!! My leaderboard always starts me over back at 0 after I have been playing hours into the leaderboard!!!! My score was over 1500 points with me being #3 on the leaderboard!! Now I am back at 0!!!!!! This happens every time I play😡 very angry! It does not matter how many points I have It will start me over at 0 at 3 times before my points start adding up!!! I absolutely do not like this game anymore if this is the new update!!! By the time I’m back up to my points leaderboard is 5000 points ahead!!! Very angry with the way this is rigged!!! It is not fair to anyone to keep starting them over at 0!!!!

Good game, needs big improvements!!. Love the game. It is very very fun. But I hate how many ads there are, how long they are, and how much the game crashes. I have to exit it and Go back in every single day I play at least once. It is very annoying. Plus the “x” for the ads will be so small that you accidentally click the ad itself and it opens a whole new browser. The annoyances almost overrule the fun of it. Please get that fixed!! And make it a one time purchase for no ads because the pricing right now is a monthly one I think and it’s ridiculous!!

Obnoxious Ads. I know this is a free app so advertising is inevitable, but the way this app does it is absolutely obnoxious. There is an Ad after every play, as you enter every game, and even randomly out of nowhere while you’re in the middle of a play. Also, their Ads will stop the audio of whatever you may have playing, and you’ll have to exit the app to restart your audio. On some Ads the “x” will be so small when you click it, it will continuously take you to the advertisers website. It’s hard to enjoy and get a groove when you’re being interrupted every 30 seconds.

I don’t usually write reviews. Hey everyone, I just want to say this game actually brings joy to my life. My vernacular has gotten stronger and my ability to have in depth conversations have improved. Just try it for 1 month. I didn’t buy anything or used the power-ups. I just played with the best of my knowledge and I am still having fun. I am also not getting paid to say this, this is me being honest and true hahaha.

Not fun if you cannot play.. VERY, very frustrating. After you place your word on the board, you have to watch 5 minutes of full-screen ads for other Play Simple games, and there is no X on the screen to close the ads! You cannot get back to your game board until the videos have completely played out. By then, you no longer even want to play the game (and your opponent probably doesn’t either because it seems to take so long), but if you quit playing it counts as a loss. I gave it 1 star so no one would think I forgot to Rate the game when no stars appear. Go with Wordscapes, Wordbubbles or Lumosity.

Amazing Game. I am absolutely in love with this game…. But I think there are a few things that can be improved to make the game even more superb…. I think that once you start with an opponent you shouldn’t be able to leave and start another game or leave at all…I’ve been waiting on Steve to play for a day now 🤦🏽‍♀️😂And if I leave it counts as a loss to me…Not fair!!
