Great game/ but…. I don’t usually write reviews but in this case decided I should because the game is great. It’s really good for me because my brain is busy and it helps me to keep my mind clear. Only one complaint really, it asks you to download other games and invite players in return for coins and then once that is done it never gives you the coins. It only allows a certain number of videos to be watched in exchange for coins a day and then you have to wait hours, which I’m sure is a tactic to make you buy coins with your own money but watching ads is a form of currency for app makers so I don’t feel bad for not giving over my actual money. What I do instead is just stop playing for the night 😕. It’s whatever, but if those things were improved, cuz I’ll watch all the videos they can give me, I’d give it a five. Puzzles are fun, challenging but not impossible!

Daily crossword. Love a good crossword. DC is really stingy about the coins they award in comparison to what they charge you for the help buttons and extra puzzles that want you to pay to play them. The commands are really sketchy when trying to correct a word and jumps all over the place and changes correct answers while you're trying to correct a answer. My biggest complaint is the location of the help buttons are too easily to press by accident when typing. Nothing burns me more than wasting 20 coins on a mini puzzle that I'm about to complete when my thumbs graze the help button. The coins are too hard to earn to be wasted in such a manner when I suspect those buttons are placed there intentionally for that very reason. I understand that the programmers need to make money but this doesn't make me want to buy anything from this app since I keep feeling cheated out of my coins. Also get a bigger vocabulary, tired of all the puzzles having most of the same words. Thank you for all your hard work, but there is room for improvement. JURKILLA

The ads don’t work?. Been playing on this app for 4-ish yrs. Now the past month or so I am forced to watch an ad, or I watch an ad to play a “free” game (as long as you watch ad).. problem is lately many times I watch the dang ad then after it’s completed the ad is frozen, and I have to swipe completely out of the game then bring it back up to unfreeze, then I try to play the “free” game and it states no ads available do you want to purchase. So I decline then go back again, it gives me another (sometimes over minute long) ad and then same thing happens. Many times these frozen ads happen 4-6 times in one group of daily games offered. (They happen different times, sometimes to play free game, sometimes after I complete a game etc etc). It is becoming increasingly irritating to say the least. I have updated and I check for bug fixes updates often and especially when these glitches happen. I really enjoy playing, but I’m tempted to see if there’s a better crossword app available. If I notice an improvement and the ads stop freezing/glitching so many times I’ll update my rating/review. An occasional glitch can happen but I’ve played 2 crosswords today and it’s happened 4 times already. Really frustrating.

Fun but loaded with bugs. I enjoy the daily puzzles and the different subjects on each day. It’s fun while you’re in a waiting room, bored, have extra free time, etc. But, be prepared - no matter how many times you update the app, it’s loaded with bugs. You’ll finish a puzzle but at some point, it shows you didn’t. The countdown of days you’re playing in a row seems to reset itself. Normally, I wouldn’t care but you’re supposed to get free coins for playing so many days in a row. After two years of playing, I can never seem to get to the 180 consecutive days for the 100 coin bonus. Maybe it’s because the puzzles aren’t counted as completed, even when you do finish them. It’s a decent app but if you’re a perfectionist or you like keeping score, find a different app.

Did love this app- no more. Loved this app until recently. Used to be able to watch quite a few ads in order to receive coins. This was great because when I got stumped this enabled me to choose the option for answers or letters to help solve. I would rather watch ads than go to “cheating” websites that have answers for free. Unfortunately, things have changed and I am only able to watch one ad which gives 5 coins. You need 10 coins for most help clues. When I go to watch another ad for 5 more coins, I am now told I have to wait well over an hour before I can watch an ad to receive 5 more coins. Ridiculous! If the point behind offering the coins is to make people watch ads, why would they make you wait well over an hour now? I have actually watched ads and downloaded games from them. Oh well. I am now deleting this app off my screen and have found other crossword games that do not do what this has chosen to do. Lost a customer that has purchased off this app in the past and downloaded from the ads.

Ok for the most part. I’ve been using this app for the past few months and I have really been enjoying it. As of late however (the last month or so) the “see wrong” button keeps turning on by itself and each time my total stars drop by 20 when I hadn’t even asked for this. I had lost over 100 stars when I finally looked into the settings and realized that by some mysterious ways the option to confirm hint use was unchecked when I knew I had checked it initially when I downloaded the app. I checked it again and things were fine for a few days until again “see wrong” started turning on by itself each time I started a new puzzle. I went to the settings immediately and confirmed it was in fact checked. I’m not sure if this is on purpose or if there is a glitch in this app, but either way the experience became frustrating enough that I just uninstalled the app, and I’ll be looking for another crossword puzzle app in the App Store.

Improvements needed!!. The app itself is ok. I have had only a few puzzles that have had an issue. (Letters I type not showing leaving box blank) I’ve played for a few weeks now and majority of the puzzles have had the same clues/words. (I have had the word era in nearly every puzzle! Several other ones as well) Otherwise the game itself is ok. Let’s talk about coins....watch a video you get 5 coins but then have to wait 2 hrs before you can watch another one. Daily gift...so far all I have gotten is 1 coin in my box. Letters and see wrong options cost 10-20 coins. See the problem!?!? Cost of “helpers” needs to be less or rewards need to be higher and there needs to be more ways to quickly earn coins. I plan to give this app a little longer and see if there are any improvements worth continuing with this app.. if so, I’ll come back and update my review. If not, well, I’ll have to delete this app and look for a new crossword app.

Love this app….but. I love playing this game but the ads, especially the one featuring the King character, (as you can see, I always look away because it is so long and annoying) is impossible to close on my iPad unless I actually shut my iPad down. Please correct this. I don’t even look at any other ads due to this very annoying glitch. You should be able to let an ad play, then click it off and continue playing without shutting down your computer. If the intent of the game developer is to entice you to download their game, I’ll never download a game that causes me to shut down my computer in order to be able to return to my original game. If you’re allowing a developer to place ads like this on your game, I will then be forced to stop playing your game, even though I really enjoy it. That’s the only reason I gave this game 1 star, otherwise I would be rating it 5 stars.

Not For Me. I liked this app but I don’t like the mini crosswords they have and that’s basically ALL they have. Some of the stuff that’s supposed to help you figure it out was really stupid, for example mine said “because”. Like how is that supposed to help me figure out a word that’s 8 letters down?! Because. That’s it. There were no other hints. Plus, getting from across to down was annoying! They don’t have it where you can just flip to one or the other, you had to hit the arrow until it changed from across to down (or vice versa) by itself. Lastly, I had it where it was supposed to show me when I words wrong but after doing one puzzle that stopped working even though I had it turned on still. I only had this app installed like 30 minutes before uninstalling it because all of that happened that fast. This app isn't for me. If you like “mini” crosswords and being timed while doing crosswords then you might enjoy this app. I didn’t and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Ads cause crashing. The puzzles are great, the variety each day keeps your interest, I’ve accepted that you will watch a 30-second ad pretty much before and after everything you do, but lately, those apps have stopped allowing me to return to the puzzle. The exit buttons either don’t appear, the screen might go blank, but either way, it just sits there. Restarting the puzzle app usually erases the bonus you were trying to get by watching the ad in the first place, but since you’re starting again, you have to watch another ad. Some ads seem to cause this more than others. It’s kind of frustrating. On those times, I just skip this and move onto a different game.

Loved this app! And then….. I’ve been playing this app for several years. Love it because it can be a quick little puzzle to pass some time while waiting. I love to challenge myself on the time it takes me to complete a puzzle and try to shave a second off the last personal recored. HOWEVER, about 6 or so months ago it just stopped working. Like one day it was fine and then it just came up with a black screen. I tried closing it and waiting a bit before opening again. I deleted it from my phone and downloaded it again. I accidentally deleted from my home screen and didn’t know how to get it back so just left it. Just reset it on my home screen and still nada. Highly disappointed as this was really helpful to me during a difficult time in my life.

I just wanted a crossword.. This came up as a possibility for a crossword app, which I’ve been wanting. I opened the first one, typed in a word... and letters were spat across the rest of the puzzle. It told me I could turn it off in the menu, so I exited... and it wanted me to open the free “mini” puzzle for the day. I had to do that before going to the menu. I went back, typed, and when I made a mistake, it popped up something telling me I could see all my mistakes. No. And then it popped something up telling me I could skip a word for free if I was stuck. I wasn’t stuck, I had just typed the wrong letter a couple of times. Halfway through a word, it popped up a box saying I could get “coins” if I let the app send me notifications. Then I finished the puzzle, and it told me that I could finish a puzzle every day for a streak and get something or other. I just wanted to do a crossword puzzle. Nothing fancy, just fill in the words with my wits. The puzzle was pretty easy, and there was just too much in the way.

Maybe a Little TOO Easy?. I’ve been playing with this app a LOT during the pandemic and am grateful for the distraction it has provided me. It works well on my iPad, and dealing with the ads has taught me patience, especially since the game is free. I like the combination of thematic and mini-puzzles, and I especially enjoy the competitions between players and the chance to earn points through these inter-player matches. It’s just one more weird way of bringing people “together” during these difficult times. My only issue is with the puzzles themselves. They are seldom challenging; rather, the constant re-use of the same words (I will NEVER eat an Oreo cookie again!) and the blatant ease of some clues - “_____ the door (rhymes with ‘hut’)” - can make the game rather dull, especially when competing and doing many puzzles at once. I realize this is a family game and that I wasn’t promised the Sunday Times crossword! Still, we are blessed with millions of words and names, and I feel like only the tiniest percentage of them are being used and constantly rearranged to give the puzzle-makers a break. Sorry about the quibble (hey, THAT’S a word you could use!!!)

Quest cost exceed reward & repetitive. The cost of quests is absolutely ridiculous compared to the rewards for completing it. I kept track of the most recent quest. It cost 225 coins to complete the 60 levels. The total rewards for completing it.....45 coins. That’s 20% of what it costs to complete it. Nice way to reward people. The first 8 levels cost 50 coins. There is a reward between levels 8 and 9. The reward was 2 coins. Why would anyone want to complete a quest when you don’t actually get rewarded? I’m still out 180 coins after completing a quest. I will no longer be completing any quests. Rewards in general are very low compared to cost. It cost 20 coins to see wrong letters. The daily reward is typically 1 coin. If you’re lucky you might get 2 coins. There are a few other issues. Several of the clues/words are repetitive. Oreo is one of the most frequently used words. There are several others. They frequently misspell words. The final issue is a minor annoyance. The show wrong and help buttons are on the bottom making it easy to unintentionally slide your finger across them. They should either move them or have a secondary confirmation process so you can cancel it. I hope they fix theses issues but for now I won’t be playing as often. I will only be doing the free daily puzzles. It’s not worth the cost to play.

Ads. I totally understand their need for ads, as nearly every app has them, but I get s long ad at the start and finish of every single puzzle. Also, considering you only receive one coin for completing a puzzle you end up having to watch many more ads if you want or need boosters complete a game. if you can’t seem to figure out which answer you got incorrect, you’re stuck watching more ads or buying coins to reveal which letters are incorrect. To my knowledge there’s not a way to pay to remove at least the ads at the beginning and end of each puzzle, which I would happily pay to do so as I love this game. Anyway, this is just basically a long way of saying there’s too many ads. It’s a great game and I love it otherwise.

A fun game when you’re stuck in the house. I’ve been playing g this for a while and I enjoy it, but it reuses the same clues over and over, so it’s not like you get all new puzzles each day. A lot of the words just keep appearing in every other crossword. I have an issue with the amount of coins it costs to get a hint or see a mistake, especially since you are only awarded one coin for each completed puzzle. The worst part is, they will randomly deduct coins , even when I don’t use any hints. I understand deducting them when you use a hint, but the creators of the App will randomly deduct 10 coins for no reason. There’s a place within the App to reach out if you have questions or issues, which I did, but I never heard back. My advise is to accumulate as many coins as you can by watching the annoying ads. It’s the only way to ensure you keep a stockpile for when you need them.

More annoying than it’s worth. 90% of this game is just annoying ads and pop ups. The game basically forces you to watch a fifteen second ad after any action. The pop ups are ultra annoying because they’ll pop up whenever you just tap on a row to edit it. Sometimes three pop ups will appear back to back. The gameplay itself is also pretty limited. You get one daily crossword and one mini one. If you want any more puzzles you either have to watch ads or spend coins, which are unnecessarily difficult to get. The clues are also super repetitive, to the point that I have many of them memorized. Basically you’re having to sit through absurd amounts of ads for very little actual gameplay. And the gameplay itself is repetitive to the point of it being boring. Don’t waste your time on this.

ONLY 5 STAR GAME OUT THERE!. Hmm, thought I wrote a review for THIS app, Lost my phone so they started me from taking “lessons” and a new account. A lot of new things since I started playing a long time ago. ANYWAY, my Mike did the crossword puzzle in his paper every single day! Though he didn’t always get every single one, he said he did them so his brain wouldn’t die before he did! THIS IS THE BEST CROSSWORD GAME of this type. No match 3 or other things that don’t apply and I like it. The puzzles are mostly great. Occasionally, I find myself (cursing to myself) because I don’t know an answer. Generally speaking, the puzzles will challenge some and others will think it’s too easy. Then the other word games that are like bonus play. Word search is great. The flipping letter game I don’t care for. The third option is 6 letters and you make as many words as possible in 50 seconds. That’s my FAVORITE WORD GAME EVER! I know it’s a small thing but when I got my new phone- that’s the reason I frantically searched for THIS ONE!! I installed several, 3 or 4 at least the first time I switched phones. I had never paid attention to the name of the company/game, etc! I found it pretty quickly and tried them all. Hands down, this is the best one!( It’s downloaded, as of yesterday, on everything I touch. (‘Cept PC) I think everything about this app is just right!

Ads cover the keyboard!. Fine game, puzzles are so-so on a challenge level, entirely too many “mini games” mixed into challenges for me and not a great interface. The Home Screen is quite cluttered and there are some odd choices with button placement and behavior versus typical patterns you see in other apps and games. All that was fine and I tolerated it until a recent chnage: My big problem is recently they started placing non-closable banner ads that cover the entire bottom row of my keyboard. Literally can’t play without clicking the ad or closing the app and reopening it because the keyboard is covered and it’s super annoying. Even that doesn’t always get rid of the ad so I can start typing again. I also agree with another person’s review that hints are too expensive given the rate at which you can earn coins to buy hints. Gonna go look for another crossword app.

Would be more stars, but.... I really enjoy the daily puzzles, but I used to be able to earn additional coins by watching videos, sometimes up to 10 videos per day were available, earning me an additional 50 coins, but they have since discontinued this practice, and now I can only watch 1 video per day for only 5 coins. When each puzzle could potentially cost you 20+ coins, if you want to see the wrong letters or buy a word, you use up those coins very quickly. I know they did this to make you purchase additional coins, but I feel they should have kept the option to view several videos to earn free coins rather than make you buy them. Chances are when I run out of coins I’ll stop playing the game and will look for another crossword puzzle app.

Waste of time. Game is too slow.. This game takes foreeeeever to load. When it does, I repeatedly click the X to close out “connect to Facebook”. I don’t want to connect to Facebook, stop popping up. When the game finally gets to the home page, it takes too long for me to be able to select the daily game. The puzzle opens up and you think you are ready to play, but no. You need to wait some more while the next screen loads to ask you if you want to show errors. Finally you are playing the crossword puzzle. You type in your answer and the letters don’t show up. You wait and the answer finally appears. You go to the next word and type in a letter. It doesn’t show up so you press it again. Now that letter shows up in the next word too. I have a newer iPad with all the updates. No game should run this slooooooow. I detest ads that take you to the App Store. Show me an ad and let me click X. I would gladly pay for this game if it would load quickly and not have any delays when playing. Waiting 5-10 seconds for a letter to appear is ridiculous. I refuse to spend my money and get the disappointment of having the same slow game.

Ads are intrusive, clues repetitive. I’ve done many crossword puzzles, and I know there are somewhat “standard” clues for a given answer, but when “ale,” “Oreo,” “HBO” “Els” to name a few are in every other puzzle...then it’s not a fun challenge anymore, it’s a grind. The ads. The. ADS. I understand they’re necessary, particularly on free apps, in order for the devs to make money. But there’s no discretion as to quality, bugs, etc. There isn’t even variety. I played for 10 minutes the other day and got the same diet pill ad five times in a row. I won’t even get into why these types of ads are harmful to people recovering from eating disorders, or that dubious health claims shouldn’t be promoted in any space. Why the same ad so many times in a row? I didn’t click the first time, I won’t click the second time, I’m still not curious the third time. By the fifth time, I’m annoyed. My phone’s storage is full. Guess it’s time to let some apps go...

Would’ve been 4* but.... I used this app every night as my chill out from a long day of workin at a prison. I absolutely love it. Some words are challenging. Some are easy. It’s a good balance. Also some people on here complain about coins. But compared to other apps, you get more for your efforts. But I had a Situation where I accidentally made a purchase. Therein is where this app gets 2*. I had used the help button options a few times. It sends you to your email app to send an email. Then you’ll get an automatic response saying someone will get back you (typically within 24 hours) and within less than 2 hours I got a personal response with the next steps to help my situation. Well this time I didn’t get that second response. It has been 3 days and I don’t dare play the app. I was able to resolve the situation, but not through this app, through Apple iTunes or something like that.

Ads With Premium. For what it is, it’s a good little game. You’ll see a lot of the same clues, so it’s not overly complicated or challenging. Every now and then you’ll see a new one that makes you think, but then it’ll be familiar like everything else. This could probably be because I put a LOT of time in here, challenging everyone on the leaderboard and advancing in rank because of you’re not first, last. I put so much time in to this that I decided to spring for the Premium because I was getting ads every other puzzle. It may not sound bad, but when you’re completing puzzles in 3-4 minutes then it feels kind of excessive. It reduced the amount of ads I get, but I still have to watch ads before I can play a puzzle. While I did only have to watch one instead of two, it’s enough an inconvenience for me that I’m cancelling the Premium and uninstalling this app. Take care, everyone!

Are you going to stop the Vita Mahjong For Seniors LONG ADS?. Vita Mahjong For Seniors is another ad takes over the game and the only option I have is to kill the app and reload it to continue to the next crossword puzzle! - Recently, you have been running more, long-running ads between games than ever before. Do you even look at the ad contents and length before you inject in during and between puzzles? At the halfway point in the small matrix puzzles the Zen Color ad always comes up and doesn’t stop running! I timed it this morning and gave up after three minutes of the same screen and stopped my DTC app, the reloaded it to finish the last two small puzzles. THEN….before I could start the Daily Puzzle, the SAME AD started again and wouldn’t end! So, i had to kill your App again and restart it to complete the next daily puzzle!

Ok Game. It’s a good, fun game to play and I really enjoy the theme days and stuff but the reason I only gave 2 stars is because the game doesn’t give out nearly enough stars for winning or watching videos. You only get 5 stars per video that you watch and everything in the game is between 10-20 stars, so at minimum you have to watch 2 videos just to get a small hint or 4 videos to get a bigger hint. So to me that makes it not worth playing because you spend more time watching ads than you do actually playing the crosswords. And for me it’s all usually over only a few letters if not just one that I got wrong/couldn’t guess. I enjoy the challenge and being able to learn things that I hadn’t known before but I can’t do that unless I buy more stars which isn’t in the budget for me right now unfortunately.

It’s Fun, but…. There is far too much going on. Tournaments, dailies, rewards, packs, quests, goals, calendars, etc… and tons of pop ups for each of them. Like at least me personally, idc, I just want to do crosswords, not turn it into some crazy competition. My other gripe is the greed. No one time payment here for turning ads off. It’s a … (drum roll please) SUBSCRIPTION!!! In case you can’t tell, I don’t like those. Especially for a mobile game. Mobile devs are crazy if they think I’m gonna pay another expensive subscription in this economy, especially just to remove ads and gain … bonuses? Again, who cares, I’m playing to do crosswords, not compete. So anyways, aside from that, the crosswords themselves are fun, and the ads are relatively non-intrusive. Not awful.

Not terrible, but not precise enough for me. 1. There are too many clues and/or answers that are vague, incorrect, or culturally specific (Britain, India, America?). (e.g. One clue asked for a 5-letter words that was “part of a cowboy’s boots.” The answer was “spurs.” Except spurs aren’t part of a boot, they are a separate device affixed TO a boot.) (e.g. Another clue asked for the leading car in a race. The answer was “polecar”... which I assume is the term in England, but in the U.S. we call it a “pacecar”, neither word is right or wrong, but shouldn’t the clue allow for only one answer? 2. The misspellings! Holy moly! Almost one per game. ‘Ema’ Stone wouldn’t be happy about that. 3. The repetition of clues and answers from one puzzle to the next is too high. 4. The game has way too many ads. There’s one after every. single. game. And they’re all the same. 5. The amount of coins earned compared to how much a booster or clue costs is a little ridiculous. One booster would require me to watch an additional four (4) ads, which aren’t even always available.

Great app, tons of fun-only one complaint. I used to avoid crosswords and similar games because I always felt like I didn’t have the vocab knowledge to make it any fun - this game has totally brought me around to truly enjoying this game. There are mini puzzles which are small and quick which definitely boost your confidence if you’re intimidated by the big puzzles. For the medium-larger puzzles I have had to do some google searches and such, but it’s fun to learn new things and also to work on beating my time so I can get a 2-3 star rating. Yes, there are ads and I don’t mind watching them (which can give you coins to use towards helpful features) and I’ve even found a couple other games to enjoy due to them - HOWEVER if I have turned off the volume feature and even have my phone on vibrate that means I shouldn’t have to worry about ads! So far, all the ads are “mute-able” except for one, but this still annoys the crap out of me. TL/DR: Game has different sized puzzles for all levels and is a lot of fun. Only complaint is noisy ads (even with volume off feature).

Fun but wish there was a multiplayer mode :(. I love this app and have had it for a few months now, however, i wish one of the new updates would include a multiplayer mode instead of just bug fixes :/. My boyfriend and I play it together, but only if we are visiting one another, and it’s harder to do over the phone, so I wish there was a way we could do them together instead of having to complete two separate puzzles, both individually on our phones instead of completing one puzzle together. This is one big factor that makes me consider other crossword apps, because we kept doing them together when we got to see each other in person but we spend more months apart then together, so it’s a fun way to stay connected even if we are hundreds of miles apart. please consider adding this option on one of the next updates! I think it would make the app more popular as well :):)

Too many ads get stuck. I get it that I have to suffer through ads if I want to use the app for free (I do). However, too often an ad gets stuck and I have to close out the app and restart. When that happens, I lose whatever points or tickets I’m due. This is beyond annoying. I’ve also completed every possible free/available crossword puzzle including the mini puzzles and all packs. I have to wait until new packs come out and the new puzzles each day. It would be great if packs come out more often than what appears to be once per month. Generally about all I can do are the two daily puzzles. I enjoy the crossword puzzles but just two is disappointing. The ads are annoying and stupid and the ones that don’t accept my pushing tge X to exit drive ne crazy. I’m looking forward to hitting 365 days because then I’ll stop using the app so I can have a bunch of puzzles to do.

Could be better. Ah, the joys of modern technology, giving us delightful apps that promise hours of fun and entertainment. Just when you're getting into the groove, mastering every twist and turn, what pops up? An ad. Not just one or two, but after every single level! It's like being on a thrilling rollercoaster ride only to have it stop midway for a brief commercial about socks. It feels somewhat out of place, doesn’t it? Of course, developers need to earn their keep, and advertising plays a role in that. But one has to wonder if there's a balance to be struck. Instead of an onslaught of ads at every level's end, maybe sprinkle them in here and there like surprise confetti? A bit of unpredictability to keep us on our toes! After all, we're here for the fun, and while a sock ad can be entertaining in its own right, we don’t necessarily need a reminder after every triumphant moment.

Easy puzzles, annoying ads. I enjoyed their puzzles and depending on the day, they can range in difficulty but are great for beginners or advanced users. At first, I didn’t mind the ads too much, but after a few more plays, I noticed that sometimes, I’d HAVE to play a mini (ad) game in order to continue on to play or exit my current puzzle. There was also a little counter in the bottom-left corner, which starts ticking backwards from 30 seconds, so although I never waited for it, I assumed this was the amount of time you had to wait to hit the “X” and close the ad. In addition, many of the ads (disguised as mini games) had graphics very similar to this app’s overall theme. This was probably done intentionally, so younger users and new players would confuse it for the game itself. This sort of behavior is unacceptable, and was 100% the deal breaker reason I decided to immediately stop playing and delete from my iPhone. NOT worth it!

Amazing Game With One Flaw. I really like this game! It tests my knowledge of facts and trivia. However, I hate, HATE, the fact that the game keeps asking me if I want to see any hints after I press on random rows and columns just to see what other questions are being asked. Keep in mind, I’m just curious what other questions are being asked and if I can solve them but no, the game takes it as if I’m stupid and unable to solve ANY. Then, a message appears asking me if I’d like a hint. It’s not a big issue, I know, but I’m tired of seeing that message EVERY SINGLE TIME. “Would you like a hint?” NO, I would not, no matter how many times you ask. I wish that there’s a way for the game to stop asking me about the hints (like tap here to no longer receive this message, kind of thing). Again, good game, but that one feature REALLY annoys me every single time I play the game!

Updated review. The latest annoying thing is I have 2 games in progress from several months ago. If I click one it takes me to the correct puzzle but then freezes. The puzzle is shown with no clues anyway. No matter how many times I’ve tried going back to those 2 specific dates the game freezes or there’s a black screen. Please fix! Could’ve been 5 starts but...I agree with most reviews that the coin system is severely lacking. Overall a great game but 2 things I have a real problem with: one is the volume when doing the bonus packs for instance. I have the sound turned off in the controls but when an ad plays the volume is ON which is not great if you’re sitting in a waiting room for example, plus it’s just downright annoying in the first place. Second is the small ads at the bottom of puzzles. I have epilepsy and the ads blinked and flashed so rapidly I thought I was going to have a seizure. If it happens again I will uninstall the game.

Absolutely love but few problems…. I absolutely love crosswords and this is what I turn to, to play some fun and relaxing crosswords. But the ads keep getting in my way, I know I should just buy the supreme package or whatever but that’s wicked expensive for a crossword app! If the ads were not ever second i would not mind one bit since ya know the people who make this game also need a little cash. But that isn’t my biggest problem my biggest problem is with coins and the game itself. I have a few friends who play this as well (I invited them) and there screens look completely different then mine. They have a classic crossword that I don’t keep and daily rewards? I didn’t even know that was a thing until I saw their screens. Then with the coins. I don’t exactly have problem with coins it is just I am terrible and I mean terrible at crosswords but I still love to play them. I am a person who needs multiple hints every single time I play because if the frenzy didn’t exist I’d be screwed. But the problem I have is the hints are quite expensive for what 5 letters for a tiny one and 10 for a big one which costs ten coins! I only get 1 coin per crossword I complete. Nonetheless I still really enjoy this game and think people who like crosswords should play the game anyway.

Was good, but.... I loved this app, even bought the yearly subscription. Then when it renewed, it stopped giving me access to the Mini Puzzles Archive...which is one of the main reasons that I subscribe! So I decided to resubscribe, thinking something went wrong. Nope, I still have a subscription, the app tells me! So I ask for help, got an email saying I’d get a personal response, NEVER DID. So I tried again. STILL NO RESPONSE! This is my third time trying. WASTE OF $50!!! UPDATE: After posting this review and reaching out again, I did get a response and my subscription is now up to date and working. I do love this app, but the customer service part was frustrating. I appreciate their quick response in the last time through, though.

Not a real puzzle. I have been playing with DTC for awhile now and you know what? I thought I was smart to finish every level. But did you know that most of the answers on all the level so far that I’ve played are practically I mean literally all the same answers but with different questions. I don’ even have to finish looking at the questions I already know the answer. Even with the mini crossword have almost the same question as the main crosswords. All the theme days are practically the same answer but on a different days. Sample: Movie Mondays and next week Movie Thursday have almost the same answer but different questions. However I still play with it for memorization and to fall asleep at night. I think DTC’s data base have only 200 main answers but with 1000 different questions. 😜

This apps pricing model is broken. The game is great. It’s Fun, Challenging and the word discovery adds a very fun element to solving. But, the pricing model is broken. The ad model which works for some games is too frequent and the ads run too long. The ad model doesn’t work IMO. It could be easily fixed by slightly shorter or less frequent ads. Personally, I would go to a subscription because I enjoy it but its difficult to find. There are references in the FAQs. There’s one banner for it. And only premium which seems to have limits on it. The write up in the app marketplace and what’s in the game are different - different prices, different terms which seems shady to me. The purchase coins option also makes no sense for player retention. Perhaps give free coins for playing consecutive days or solving puzzles. As it is, this is a try and uninstall. Low on net promoter because you’ll just waste your time. Now looking for a paid alternative.

Changes to the game. I’ve been playing daily well over a year now and I play for free. I play for free and because of that do I really have the right to complain? Probably not but I’m going to anyway. I came to see what the last update included but all it had list was your normal debugging. There wasn’t anything about no longer revue if a gift when you complete the first or three daily puzzles which was a goal. There wasn’t anything there about no longer having goals 2 and 3, all the daily goals just vanished without saying a thing. It would of been nice if you gave players a heads up about the changes imho they were kids big. Not sure if I’ll keep playing no skin off your nose though since I only play for free except the part where I watch the very long ads your required to play.

No longer works as used too. Don’t play. Update: STILL no response to my question about accessing the Quest puzzles. I believe it is a language issue. English is my native language. I wish the developers would add someone who reads and speaks English to their team. Still can’t get a straight answer as to why I can no longer play any of the Quest puzzles. Have emailed and sent detailed email. All the developers will say is something about the ads. I didn’t ask about the ads. I asked about the Quest puzzles. Doesn’t anyone comprehend or understand English? Emailed Twice to support link and NO RESPONSE. No support AT ALL. HAVE GIVEN UP. GAME IS BROKEN AND DEVELOPERS COULD CARE LESS. DONT YOU DARE TELL ME TO CINTACT YOU AS YOU NEVER NEVER RESPOND BACK. Don’t waste your time on this game Extremely disappointed. As of March I can no longer access any of the extra puzzles like the quest. The in app help is broken so you can’t contact the developers. I tried emailing but got no response. Fun…but the latest bugs are huge!. I’ve been playing DTC for a year or so, with very few complaints or problems. BUT—there’s always a but, right?—the last couple months have been horrendous. Certain ads will lock it into a black screen and the only way I’ve figured out how to clear it is to delete the app and reload. Pain in the rear when you’re in the middle of a tournament or within grasp of an achievement that you’ve been working towards. I’ve deleted and reloaded 4 or 5 times lately and I am seriously tired of having to rework puzzles that I completed a month or so ago. Only plus so far is that I’m fast as h*ll and have won the tournaments, etc. for the last 90 days or so (helps tremendously when you’ve just completed the puzzle recently). You guys want some serious cash for a game of this caliber. I’ve thought about it, but with my current bug issue, I can’t see dropping that much on an app that has as many bugs, syntax errors and language-translation issues that I’ve seen in the year or so that I’ve used it. Guess I’m just going to have to keep slogging through the other crossword apps until I find one that suits me and doesn’t have such an issue with my iPhone.

Fun Crosswords But……. I love crossword puzzles and this one is definitely fun and addictive. However, do not buy any coins because there is a definite leak somewhere. My coins just magically disappear. I can have 100 coins and as I’m playing, I look up and there are 95 or 81 and I haven’t bought anything. A few minutes ago I had 35 coins. I could not find my wrong answer to save my life so I bought the answer for 20 coins. That should have left me with 15 coins, right? It left me with 1 coin. I can have 110 coins when I turn it off to eat dinner. When I return and turn it back on, I’ll have 85. Since I get free coins for watching videos, it’s irritating but not costly. If I had paid for the coins and they kept disappearing, then I’d be angry. So if you buy coins, be sure to pay attention because they will disappear. The developers need to fix this issue. Otherwise it’s a fun game.

Sunsuzq. I just starting doing crosswords on your app and so far really like it!!! I get more double the daily puzzles and different types of crosswords. I think I’m getting more points for my wins here too. I started doing Crosswords With Friends and just had too many problems with them, not enough new puzzles and not receiving any points I should get for playing the games. I had played all of their games, most of them twice. I would be playing in a weekly tournament and play a game and not get any points towards the tournament. Their answer was they were trying to work out the problems. I was paying them for coins to play and they didn’t offer me anything for their problems that were costing me winning the tournaments and getting coins to continue playing games. I’m really enjoying all the different puzzles on here!!!

Major discovery. This game cheats by changing letters you typed in correctly so that you’ll spend coins to see which ones are incorrect. Several times I have noticed that despite being absolutely sure I put in correct letters by checking both as I type and after I type, that by the end of the puzzle it will say “one or more letters is wrong” with the option to pay 20 coins to see which. Each time, when I go back and recheck all the clues for spelling I notice a word with a letter changed that I know I had spelled right. For example ice gets changed to icw to make unsuspecting folks think they hit the letter next to the correct one while typing. After it happening so often, I discovered it wasn’t me.... this game makes its own rules.

So ADDICTING & SATISFYING!. I never really cared for crossword puzzles because I wasn’t good at them due to the various topics I wasn’t interested in or had no clue about. However, this game is much different. There are hundreds of puzzles with lots of different themes that I guarantee you can answer. If not, just filling squares with other known answers will help you to complete the others that you miss. Before you know it, you’ve solved the entire puzzle. So fun. I make sure to log in everyday & play as well as watch ads to earn lots of free coins to purchase perks to assist with puzzle solving. I like to challenge myself to complete a puzzle before a certain time to get my coins as well! I love this game!

Don’t Buy Coins. I really enjoy doing the puzzles, but get really frustrated when I finish a puzzle and random amounts of my coins have been used without me even knowing it was happening or why. I never play a puzzle when it says I have to use coins to play - in other words I only play when it claims the puzzle is “free” or “free with viewing an ad video”, but I’ll get done with the puzzle and sometimes upward of 30 coins will have been used without my knowledge - and this is without using any of the “help” items at the bottom of the puzzle which use coins. I wouldn’t care as much if I only ever used coins I earned just by playing puzzles, but sometimes I buy the coins so it is really irritating. It would be nice if something would pop up warning you that something you’re about to do is going to cost you and list the cost.

Fabulous game!. Great exercise for the mind, and free. I thank you very much. I can’t get away from it, and now I have time; it’s addictive and keeps my mind sharp. However, I assume that these are glitches. I had already gained a few points which I have been losing very easily. Whenever I get the window o flap announcing “wrong answers”. I began to watch carefully, and on my last one I finished a few minutes back, (Sports Tuesdays) clue 59a and 45d clash. Partly with those letters are awarded and go wherever they want and apparently cannot be changed unless you turn points in. Is that supposed to happen or is it part of your strategy? But none the less, it’s a great game! Thank you.

Bad Puzzles, Annoying Bugs. Crossword fans look elsewhere. Repetitive clues game after game, every game has Mika Kunis, Ale, Ooh, Aah, IPA, Game of Thrones clues, sci-fi clues, people and abbreviations you’ve never heard of. Tons and tons of clues are abbreviations or stupid phrases like “I see” or “is at” or “at no”. Sometimes half the puzzle is like this. Not true crossword puzzles. Very badly done. The bugs are almost all associated with ads. You have to watch a 30 second ad before AND after each puzzle! They get stuck, volume blares even if you have volume off, and they are for very weird apps where pleasant games have been paired with drowning bears or women about to be attacked by viscious dogs - it’s like a single teenager obsessed with his Mika Kunis/Sci-fi world had to come up with 300 tiny crossword puzzles and he gave up trying to think up new clues, or exhausted his vocab. and started looking things up. Really bad. Don’t waste your time.

Cool. The app is addictive and I often fall asleep playing it. My only pet peeve is that the “Royal Match” ads play soooo much that I’ve grown a hatred for it. I wish I could block it. When I try to exit away from the ad, App Store keeps popping up 6-10 times to download Royal Match before I can continue playing the crosswords, and I KNOW I’m hitting the “x” button. It’s so repetitive that I’ve considered uninstalling this app. I’ve even had to shut down this app completely and reopen it just to get that ad off my screen. Now, I play crosswords with my volume down so I won’t have to keep hearing, “Help meee” from that king, or whatever he is. It’s almost like a virus smh. I’m certain that at some point I may uninstall this and install another crossword game to run from those repetitive Royal Match ads. It’s as if I’m almost being harassed to download it—as comical and unrealistic as that sounds. I see it during regular ad air-times, when opting to watch a video for extra letters, AND when opting to watch a video for coins. Can’t get away from it. Pleeeeease turn it offffffff. It’s unbearably annoying and overplayed. Even the real-life human promoting it in different ads. Can’t even fully enjoy this app. It’s a relief just to see a different ad the very rare times that I do.

Good game. I enjoy crosswords and this game is something I play every morning. I have to really use my brain with the American knowledge and spelling but I look upon it as another challenge to get my head around.

Needs improvement. Puzzles are a little on the easy side but fun to play. No easy way to win a lot of coins, unless you pay for them. Rewards need to be more substantial for the time put in!

Brain power. Wow my brain has had a workout these past few days. I’m loving having two free puzzles a day, one bigger and one small.

I have to pay an ongoing subscription just to get rid of ads?. The game has potential to be great, however the developers are just plain greedy. An ad after every game, no option to make a one time payment for an ad-free version like everyone else offers, instead I have to pay some extortionately expensive ongoing monthly or yearly subscription payment in order to keep the ads off it! Therefore, unfortunately it makes this app complete garbage.

Good, but American-centric. Many questions are American knowledge, which of course is very hard to answer if you’re not American (of course, to some people the rest of the world does not exist). Takes ages to earn enough coins if you are stuck. Otherwise a great game...I installed it a day or two ago and have played for hours 😂

Frustrating. It’s a good app, except for the fact it freezes when I watch an ad to get extra points. It also has a delay when entering letters!

Painful. Is fun doing the crossword of course, but very annoying you when the game makes spelling mistakes nearly every time, completed a bigger one the other day and could clearly see about 2 non existent words in there, so that makes it frustrating.

Ready to delete. Ever since I have updated my phone I have had nothing but trouble with videos not working correctly and when I have tried to write to the app it self it won’t allow it. Yes the app has been updated. I use to love playing this game every day but I’m ready to delete it as it’s a hassle when the videos freeze and you have to shut down the game completely and you don’t receive the coins or letter that you just watched the videos for.

Hard if you are not American. I totally agree that these puzzles are impossible because I don’t know about American sports. I like crosswords because I have little or no interest in TV shows or movies so no way I can answer most of the clues that aren’t about sport.

Not too bad. Not a bad game, alot of American answers and everytime you earn coins they disappear before you can use them on hints which is very frustrating, it’s hard enough already trying to earn those coins and then when they disappear is even more of a pain

Too much Americanism. Love doing the crosswords but there is way too much stuff to do with America!! Should be world famous not just American Famous! If you know what I mean, I’m in Australia, was brought up in England, so know lots of world related knowledge, just find its not an even balance. Don’t even get me started on the spellings!! To many American questions. Ads are getting worse and way to many questions that are American based, such as places and sports teams etc. Way to many ads and they are way to long! More time spent watching ads now than playing the game! Used to be such an awesome app.

Getting frustrated with the game.. In all this is a great app. Very American themed, the contestant lagging and freezing of the game is becoming very frustrating. (Yes I have updated game and phone and running current versions) Another issue I have is lack of support. 5 days now with no reply. Coins from referring friends haven’t been credited neither have coins for downloading a game. If all above is fixed I’d be happy to give a 5 star review.

Just ok, the proliferation of ads makes the experience unpleasant. The crosswords are very relevant and challenging but the ads are way too many for even small crosswords and the subscription fee to remove them is too expensive. It’s line ball whether to keep playing or delete the app !

Good game but ... I love doing crosswords but this I find is very much Americanised .. therefore it takes a lot of coins to eventually get to an answer .. I love America but it’s not the only country in the world😊

Used to be good. I used to play this game all the time and then stopped for a while. I’ve started to get back into it but it’s been super super laggy, to the point where I’ve spent triple coins for one hint and shuts itself off so much I’m getting sick of trying to play it. I miss the old version so much. Hopefully it clears up soon, don’t want to have to delete it.

Don’t get this whatever you do.. It is so add ridden that you’d be lucky to even play once ever, I mean it’s crossword for gods sake does it really need to be jam packed with cheap adds that NO ONE will fall for? And don’t even get me started on the micro-transaction pop ups that are 100% made for you to miss click and accidentally buy. Seriously it’s not worth downloading at all.

Daily. Try to play every day. Some others have commented on repetition and it being Americanised, both are true, but I guess it’s pretty difficult coming up with something fresh over such a long period, also it’s Americanised because it is an American app, go figure.

I like it BUT…!!!. I agree with several other players that it’s an excellent game BUT basically uses a lot of Americanisms. For an Aussie this is difficult to use and to stomach. I would also prefer an Australian version that doesn’t use so many American spellings, abbreviations and terms.

Very American. Not a bad app but be warned that if you come from a country that speaks real English, you’ll have to put up with bad American spelling and grammar (they think the plural of roof is roofs! and lots of other things). Also lots of references to US culture and abbreviations- not a bad thing if you’re from the US but the rest of us wouldn’t know a lot of this stuff. Overall a goodish app for US based people but maybe the rest of us should look elsewhere.

Pretty good game. It’s great but I find it annoying when it automatically clicks to show errors and I lose 20 coins when they’re so hard to get in the first place.

This game would be better if more questions were suited to the country you live in rather than all US questions...also the ratio games to coins could be improved & more fairer ..20 coins to get help in a game & only one when you solve a puzzle...5 when you watch a repetitive game app video!!

Frustrating ads. Insanely expensive.. I’ve had this app for a long time and enjoy the crosswords and new games section but FAR OUT I feel like every week the ads get longer and longer and more frequent. Before you used to be able to skip after a few seconds after two or three games (but not before having to tap, be redirected to App Store and come back to game) Now the ads are 10+ seconds. I legitimately will NOT buy any game via the ads simply because they’re so freaking annoying. I don’t need additional coins but also don’t like ANY game enough to pay, what works out to be nearly $280 Australian dollars a year, for a weekly subscription. I’ll be looking around for a new crossword app with a more reasonable amount of ads or cheaper, once off subscription and suggest who ever is reading this, does too.

Frustrated. I have enjoyed this app for a very long time, BUT, the addition of even more ads is so annoying, and then when you do watch them and you can’t tap on the cross to close it really peeves me off. To have to shut down the app, reopen it and lose time when trying to compete with others is making me contemplate removing the app altogether. I do hope you can fix the ads issue and stop being so greedy by more in.

Love the crosswords. I love the crosswords I’m not American but it is great to get the brain thinking about other countries, but there are too many malicious ads coming through please make sure that your ads are safe for people

Great game. Great game, most of the questions are written with reference to America. Which is fine. The coins to check you answers are hard to get and I’m watching a lot of ads( 4 in a row sometimes ) just to check my answers to solve the puzzle.

Awesome but needs to be less Americanised. A great crossword but as another user said, needs more references worldwide. Not just America. Lucky I've been there many times & know some clues. Other than that it is an awesome time wasting game.

Not enough coins. Not enough opportunity to get coins, you’re made to wait over an hour to watch videos for coins. I have finished all the mini puzzle packs so I can’t earn anymore coins that way.

Buyer BEWARE!!!!. I like the App HOWEVER when purchasing coin packs I am constantly being charged DOUBLE packs every time. I have reported the issue at least 5 times but to no avail. Each time it has happened I report it and receive a refund BUT how many other thousands of users are being SCAMMED as they may not notice the double charges

Keeps the brain healthy. Very good mix of crossword topics and not too hard to get in game currency. Can sometimes be a little AD heavy, just to exit when you finish a puzzle is a little rough I think but all in all a great app that I play daily.

Brain busy. Keeps my mind working, try to play every day. But agree it would be great to have an Australian version and in this you could include general international questions cause let’s face it we are well educated about the world here in Australia.

Fun Crossword Game. Fun crossword game with a lot of variety in the topics and a good mix of short and long ones. The mini-quests are fun too. It’d be good to earn more coins after completing crosswords, as otherwise you have to watch a lot of ads to earn coins.

Too easy and repetitive. I like the app. The problem with it is… well actually there’s a few problems. Firstly, it’s American based knowledge. I’m not particularly knowledgeable in US government departments and their abbreviations, for instance. Secondly, to reveal a word or reveal which letters are incorrect, I have to spend 20 coins, or 10 to show a word or get some letters. Which is annoying because I only ever have maybe 1 letter that’s incorrect, and that’s because it’s some American question. Thirdly, you only get 1 coin when you complete a puzzle. Fourthly, it’s repetitive. The same questions and answers over and over, except for the few themed questions and answers. But the rest are always the same. It needs some more thought put into it in that way. I seem to be subscribed to the app, which is fine, but so far the only thing I’m getting out of the subscription is no ads? I still have to use my coins to unlock packs. I have to use my coins for heaps of things. If I’m getting low in coins, I have to buy more… with real money. So what exactly am I getting out of the subscription? I like the app. I play it all the time. Every day. It’s just those issues above that need to be looked into. ALSO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP MAKING THE CROSSWORDS SO REPETITIVE. IT IS THE SAME ANSWER OVER AND OVER AND OVER WITH THE CLUE JUST WORDED DIFFERENTLY.

Good App BUT Too many ads!. I love passwords, but this has you waiting all the time while you HAVE to watch another app. I so wish I could pay a bit and pass on the ads.

Fun, but buggy. Love the game, but it drains my iPhone XR battery quite quickly and heats up the phone after about 30 mins of play. Phone performance degrades over time. Restarting the app frequently seems to prevent both problems, so my guess is a memory leak of some sort.

Recent Changes. I’m fine with ads on a free game, of course. However they have made changes recently so that some ads play through, then the “X” appears in the top corner where you should be able to tap and move onto the next level, but the X doesn’t work. Even if you wait a long time it’s stuck on the ad and you have to shut down the game and restart in order to get the next puzzle to load.

Fun but way to many adds. Way to many adds, and they are long!!! Some you can’t even « x » out off. Have to close the app completely and re-start!!

Too many freezing ads. Too many of the ads shown are freezing so when I get rid of your app on my phone and reopen the app, I am not credited for extra letters, etc. please check all your ads and remove the ones that freeze up. That is why I gave you a one-star rating.

Length of ads and freezes very frequently. Don’t waste your time with this game. You spend more time watching ads than playing the game. Some ads are two minutes in duration and when you try to close them, it takes you to another page. The game freezes very often during ads which is so frustrating.

Used to be a fun app, but over time, updates have made the app less responsive and ads have gotten longer and un-closeable (you sit through the full ad, an x appears to close it, but tapping it does nothing). It’s so burdensome, I can only surmise it’s intentional by the app publisher to force users to pay to avoid ads. Used to be fun with reasonable advertising.

Good games but ads block keyboard. The crossword daily themes are fun, but this app has too many ads. I can’t click on the keyboard and type the letters because ads block it.

Freezes. This game would be fun, except for it freezes on all the odds after the ex pops up and you try to close it it doesn’t respond you end up having to swipe out of the game and then you lose your points for watching an ad! Super annoying!

Not worth the trouble.. This app opens sometimes, but then other times it will freeze up and you can’t finish the game you’re playing. I have removed it from my tablet.

Apps always bugging on my IPhone x last ios version. When i open the apps, i have the title page then it switch to a black screen with what is like a commercial banner but with nothing in it except colors. Very annoying!!

Deleted all my coins - WASTE OF MONEY. Made the mistake of updating app, when it opened it was just a black screen. No matter how many times I closed and reopened it, same thing. Restarted phone, same thing. Deleted app and re-downloaded and all my coins were gone, so just deleted it again permanently. What a waste of money.

Very annoying bug. This app is fun when I can actually play. More than half the time I open it though it’s an entirely black screen with a rectangular box (an orange gradient color) with a green rectangle inside that. Force closing and opening it again doesn’t fix it. Super annoying.

Fix the Ad issues!. Like many other users are commenting… ads have become a real nuisance. There are WAY TOO MANY and they won’t “x” out when they are done playing. Have to exit the game, swipe it closed and then restart the app to get to the next puzzle. Always enjoyed this game but I’m prepared to delete it if you don’t fix the issue.

I like this game and really wanted to give it a great review however in the middle of a puzzle after solving a clue a pornographic ad appeared for about 15 seconds with now way to close it. I often play this game with my 9 yo son watching. VERY INAPPROPRIATE. Will be removing this app. If you’re a parent then maybe look at a different crossword app.

Can’t turn off sound. I’m going to take this app off my phone. The crossword puzzles are fairly simple, although some can present a challenge or two with unique words. The worst part is that in the last week, it has become impossible to turn the ad sounds off. I want to be able to be alerted to important information on my phone and ads aren’t that. They are jarring and annoying. Stop blasting me with noise!

Play everyday. Love the puzzles. Just enough challenge to make me think but not be too frustrating. Only critisism is I wish some of the clues and answers weren’t repeated so often. Otherwise I enjoy it.

Terrible for ads. The ads in this were absolutely dreadful, couldn’t play one puzzle for two minutes without something popping up, never even got a chance to see if I actually enjoyed it, it also gave bonus letters and ended up filling half the letters before I even got a chance to do it myself, no option I could find to turn this off, stupid deleted after 10 minutes

Do NOT download. This game used to be fun but now the ads are excruciating. You sit for a minute to support the game and then you're stuck in the ad and have to restart. The developers seriously need to reach out to the ad producers for more user friendly ads. I support the use of ads but not in this manner. We are Uninstalling this game from all of our devices and also now telling people to avoid this game.

Black screen on opening. Would be a great crossword app but 3/4 of the time the app opens up to a black screen and there’s nothing to do but quit and try to open it at a later time because if you try to reopen it right away, it’s just a black screen again

DTC. Update- so I’ve decided to delete this app because of the ads always having Norton popping up. I don’t want malware and virus so sadly this app goes - until they get proper safe ads. Not scams. I like the game as it helps my old brain. But my Norton Anti Virus keeps popping up with “unsafe we recommend you do not visit this site” for every ad that comes up. You need to find some legitimate ad sponsors. The Keto ones are so fake. Not the same people from fat to skinny. Nor have the Celebrities ever endorsed them. It’s just so wrong. For that you lose stars.

Ok but the ads are too much. The crosswords are ok but not very challenging. The ads ruin the game though and it’s the monthly subscription fee to turn ads off are bizarrely high.

Very Disappointed after 3 or 4 months!. I’ve enjoyed completing the puzzles on this app! They weren’t unsolvable but kept my mind involved. I loved the clues that led to LSU or Baton Rouge answers! However, tonight I started a new mini puzzle group (1-15). I did not look at the icon associated with the puzzle set! When I started the 2nd or 3rd puzzle, the clue was “what does the L in LGBQ (whatever) stands for!!!! The next clue asked what the G stands for! I’m going to tell anyone interested what they stand for!!! EVIL, SATANIC LIFESTYLES, and completely against God’s laws! Whoever “you” are, you have allowed Satan to control “you”!!! I WILL NOT!!! 😪😪😪😪

I Play Everyday!. To me, this is the best Crossword game I’ve tried. I do the “Daily” and the “Mini” puzzles for free. I can even play past months’ (days) at no cost! I do pay a few bucks here and there to use the “Show Wrong” answers -which to me, is worth it. The puzzles are fun because some answers are easy; others- more difficult. The only problem I have is that once in awhile I accidentally hit the key to “Show 10 Letters” which uses paid coins. That’s because it’s on the bottom of the game and my phone. Later, I might try their other puzzle offers. For now would like to say “Thanks” for making a great game! Joy B.

Great app way to many ads. I love this app for everything but the ads. I have done these puzzles for years and I feel like recently there has been a huge increase in the amount of ads and it’s gotten to the point where I just can’t play this app anymore. There are ads before puzzles, ads for the game during puzzles and then after the puzzle there is an ad. I enjoy this app so much I would have just paid to remove ads but I think there price is unreasonable compared to other apps that offer a one time price of $1-$5 this is like a $7 monthly fee which is ridiculous. Ultimately I think I am going to have to just try a new app for crosswords.

Super fun game but….. This is truly a super fun game and I’d give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for all the dang ads! Ads before play a puzzle and ads after you play a puzzle and ads to get coins. It’s just a bit too much. Also, they are really stingy with the coins. They barely give any coins for wins and then only 5 coins per video. That’s just too stingy. Mist games give enough coins to enjoy the game and make it worth all the ad watching….which makes someone less likely to be irritated with ads and less likely to down rate the game as a whole. Just sayin. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄

I was loving. It...... I installed this game while looking for a new time waster. At first I really enjoyed it, though some puzzles were ridiculously easy and some were very strange. After playing a while, the hints become redundant, being used game after game. I didn’t even mind all the ads; in fact I’d play the ad to get “free” coins every once in a while. However, I don’t know why or when it changed, but now, in the most recent “quest” it costs coins to play every game after the 25th level or so. It used to cost once in a while on the quests and that was fine. But charging for every game is a no-go for me. I’m not interested in paying real money to waste time and watch ads. Thanks for the memories. Guess I’ll go back to reading books. 😎

Not challenging and constantly freezes. As I play more puzzles on this game, I notice how many words are repeated in so many of the puzzles. I also dislike the clues that involve anagrams as it seems like a lazy way to make the puzzles. With both anagrams and repeated words being in all of the puzzles it seems, I think I am finished using this app. Now, the freezing is terrible with this app. It’s not my wifi nor is it my cellular data as freezing only occurs when I use this app. When I play, the game will constantly freeze or lag severely, causing letters to be placed where I didn’t want them. It also messes with the timer as once it is done freezing, the timer changes to an increased time which I find it unfair as I’m unable to play when the game freezes. I am more than willing to pay premium for an app that’s good, but this app is so stale and freezes so much. I do not find these lazy puzzles worth the premium as well. Either focus on quality of puzzles rather than quantity or change your subscription price to $0. I will find another puzzle app and just buy puzzle books at my local bookstore.

Political ad/petition is no bueno!. I didn’t mind the ads at all and was enjoying the game until... there was a constant ad asking me to sign a petition to stop illegal immigration! Um, nope! I’m playing this game to escape from all of this crap! If you are shoving your politics on me then I am not playing your game and I do not care how much revenue you received by running this ad for a petition. Frankly no one wants to play these games and think about politics. I am more than fine to watch as many ads about other games as you want to throw at me but do not ask me to be signing petitions that is where I delete your game without batting an eye ! Has no one learned anything after Jeffrey Epstein and the cost of doing business with Beelzebub?? Also why do the developers PlaySimple, which is an Indian-based company owned by Preeti Reddy, put immigration ads from judicial watch on their game apps???

There are major problems. Sometimes when I start an archived puzzle the game will decide that I need “show wrong answers” turned on all by itself and use up my coins without asking. It will then KEEP IT ON and keep using my coins for subsequent games. Most of the time I don’t even need this feature, but when I do need it I want the coins I’ve saved up to be there, not to have been used without my permission!!! I also don’t like the constant pop ups that try to trick you into using your coins for showing wrong answers, or that insist you should watch a video to get more coins. If the stupid thing wouldn’t steal my coins (I have lost probably 200 coins in this way!) I would have plenty and not need to watch videos!

Just Ok. I love crosswords, but find it annoying that you have to pay to see errors. Watching ads gives you so few coins, it would take all day to earn enough to correct the crossword, because 20 only SHOWS you the errors. It’s gonna cost you another 10 to see the word if you honestly don’t know the answer. And btw, it would be helpful if the letters you type in could highlight within the word. Any number of times I’ve looked to find that a letter has gone astray & went to a different area of the puzzle, or worse yet, I don’t see it until I’m done when the message goes “Almost done, see wrong”! When I know I have the correct answer to each clue. Very frustrating game.

Love the Crossword Itself But. The crossword itself is phenomenal. Love playing it. I play it almost every day and it’s kept my really sharp and I’ve learned new things. But what I dislike is that you have to get coins to see what you played wrong. Maybe some people would disagree but it’s just annoying to me. And I’m aware you have to have ads on the game to monetize it but I swear, sometimes I’ll get like 10 videos back to back and it’s very irritating. If they could at least be more sporadic and not in clusters that would be great. Other than that I’m very happy with the game.

Ads sounds.... I have been greatly enjoying this game. However, the latest update has ads that play sound that cannot be turned off. No sound icon. Some puzzles are gated behind these ads, not just puzzle aids. I was dealing with words that were similar across many puzzles and other small annoyances just fine. But sound that pops up when I have the sound of both the app and the phone off, is completely and utterly unacceptable. There are times when I play this when sound is a detriment, not just annoying. Also, if I’m listening to music or an audiobook, once the ad is finished the sound does not go back to it because the app has completely taken over the phone. I’m completely frustrated by this new ‘feature’ and hope it gets fixed soon.

Fun but repetitive. I don’t expect much from a free word game, but after about a week I finally had to uninstall. The ads actually weren’t terrible overall, I get that that’s how they monetize… but I would never pay the premium for ad-free with how repetitive the puzzles were. After a few days I could fill out 3/4 of the puzzles from a pool of 3-4 letter words that were used over and over again. The clues differed slightly, but the words were mostly the same. I have lots of ways to mindlessly spend time, but a crossword shouldn’t be one of them. I’m sure this is engaging for younger players (and the mini events are a cool feature), but it doesn’t keep my attention now that I know the word pool.

Helped me during depression. While in a severe depression where everyone hates me and i’m ignored on a daily basis, i do crosswords. It takes my mind off wanting to kill myself. I do want to commit suicide but i’m too chicken. I wish there was a pill you could take when you decide it’s time to end your life. I want my life back, the one where i was happy and smart and enjoyed eating and could sleep like a baby everynight. Where i could see my daughters smiling at me in admiration opposed to the faceless frowns they give me now. Please God, take my life and end this tortuous misery. I want to die.

Wont load anymore. I have been on this app for 2 years and have enjoyed doing my daily puzzles, recently I have been competing in the points earning where the number 1 person gets the additional 50 coins, but sadly for the last 2 days I cannot load the app…I click the icon and the app comes up and then doesnt load kicing my back to the icon..there are no updates for this app on my phone and Ive tried shutting down and restarting my phone a few times to no avail…would appreciate some sound advise other than deleting and reloading the app and losing my status within the game

Daily Crossword. Its a fun game but it can get VERY annoying when you need coins, i was playing and I got stuck somewhere because I finished a mini crossword but it said that one or more letters were wrong. So I watched an ad to get five coins and then I had to watch another one because when I watched one I only had 12 coins and then I watch another one because I was trying to get to 20 coins but after the 3rd add it said that I needed to wait another hour to watch anymore. And that was really annoying that’s one of my only complaints though.

Adds with bugs - iOS. The app has a nice gaming / crosswords solving experience. It’s easy to use, and it’s easy to move between levels. My issue is with the videos / adds. To move to access some or at the end of certain crosswords, you need to watch a “video” / add. The issue is that these adds get frozen and I end up having to restart the app as this becomes unresponsive. This makes the app not to register that the “video “ has been watched and therefore you have to try to watch it again or have to “pay” a coin penalty to skip it.

I’d like to keep playing but screen goes black. I really like this game. The crosswords are just challenging enough but not too hard. However, after playing for a bit, my screen goes black. I had worked my way up to the diamond level when it first happened. I tried what I could to get it back but nothing worked. I had to delete the app and download it again. Of course, I lost all data and had to start all over again. This has continued to happen, where my screen just goes black. So you’ve lost me as a player—can’t continue with this game. It’s unfortunate because I really liked this game. Going to a different app.

Love it. Let’s just say: my screen time has risen..... A. LOT! Since downloading this game!!!!! I’ve always been the word search kid of my family, finally giving crosswords a go, and I’m really happy I chose this App!!! I just wish you were given more coins for completing boards to use towards hints etc. I don’t mind watching videos for some extra coins, just the payout for receiving coins could be better. It would also be nice if you didn’t need to spend coins to play archived puzzles. I play a lot of other somewhat similar puzzle games where they have months of archived puzzles, and you get to play them for free.

Laggy!. My main complaint is that this app is so LAGGY! The more I play, the laggier it gets. Sometimes I press a letter and the app completely freezes for 10+ seconds. And the worst part is that the timer still counts while it’s frozen! I’ve lost out on many stars for very easy mini crosswords because it artificially inflated the time. Every couple months I have to delete the app and start over just to make it functional again, but then of course I lose my progress. Everything else is great, I just wish you’d finally fix this. This has been consistent through multiple iPhones, so I know it’s not me.

Ad Issue. The reason I gave this app one star is due to the problem with watching ads and 1.) Never receiving the coins promised and 2.) After watching the ad (that the coins are never deposited into account) there is no way to exit out of ad once completed. There is no way to get back to the crossword puzzles. To add insult to injury, the only option available when you find yourself in this position is to exit out of the app. When I have had to do this I have found that the “stuck” ad remains for 5+ hours which that in itself is ridiculous. When this happens to you forget accessing any crossword puzzles until the next day. Furthermore, this problem is happening more frequently. I have had it happen to me on a daily basis over the past week. Unacceptable.

Decent but with obvious shortcomings. DTC is a decent app but it definitely has issues. First off some of the clues/answers are ridiculously repetitive. Don’t know who Mel Ott or Ernie Els are? Well you’re in luck because if you spend even ten minutes playing you’ll have answered it a half dozen times. Which leads me to my second issue which is that some answers are outright misspelled. I can’t count how many times I’ve been stuck with a borderline completed puzzle only to find out the answer was spelled incorrectly. But both of these pale in comparison to the biggest issue with this app. The ads. There are so many ads in this. Banner ads on the top of every puzzle. Ads to unlock the next puzzle in the weekly events after you literally just watched an ad after the last one. Worst of all ads that completely ignore your volume settings and just randomly start blaring. I get it. Nothing good is ever free and ads are a necessary evil but cmon. If you’re going to shove a billion ads down my throat the least you could do is show more than the same three over and over. I actually liked this app a lot in the early stages but it’s just too repetitive to recommend anymore.

Ads started freezing. The ads that I sit thru to get hints or coins justed started freezing RIGHT BEFORE THE END. Sit thru the whole thing and get nothing. I have to close the app. Did you recently do an update? I’m guessing that I am going to have to delete the app and reinstall and lose all the progress. I would like to hear from you. Or, I’ll just find another app. The ads come whether I want them to or not and its not worth it I get nothing in return One more thing I would like to caution users. If a pop up appears in the middle of your game asking for a rating, it will ask for your e-mail address. Don’t rate it unless your doing it through apple where you’re not giving out personal information. Trust me - I made that mistake (should have known better.

Misspellings. Not a bad crossword app...BUT I’ve come across a couple of misspelled words. One could be easily corrected by updating the clue. For example, there is a significant difference between “valance” and “valence.” Sorry to sound like the word police, but I couldn’t find a way to let you know about those kinds of errors. Frustrating as all get out to work on a puzzle and you built it with errors. Also, I was stuck forever trying to get the clues on the puzzle about “Game of Thrones.” I never watched that show, ever. I couldn’t even Google the answers. I called 2 people who were addicted to the show and even they were stumped. Phooey on that puzzle.

Would be perfect. This app would be perfect if it would tell you when you mess up a word without having to spend money. It takes 20 coins to see your mistakes. Also it SAYS it will give you coins for installing other apps but it NEVER gives you the dang coins. This has happened to me at least 3 times. I spent $10 to get coins and they were gone in no time. Now that I am out, I am stuck on a puzzle and can’t watch another ad for an hour. It would be a different story if you got more than ONE coin per completion. Oh and don’t even waste your time on the challenges, they promise “gifts” but after wasting half my coins to get a bonus it didn’t even give me one. I think I am done with this app which stinks cause I really enjoy it but I don’t really feel like spending $20 a month to play.

Lags so bad!!. I used to like playing this game all the time. I liked that you could earn rewards if you did all the weekly puzzles and you get more stars the quicker you complete each puzzle. I used to be able to complete a regular puzzle in 4mins or less, not anymore. This game lags so hard when it’s loading and even during game play that it takes me 10mins or longer to complete a puzzle because I’m sitting there waiting for the game to finally register the letter(s) I just typed so I can move on to the next clue! I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this but it’s very annoying. If it’s not fixed soon, I’m going to delete the app.

Still Waiting. I play this game everyday and really like it. However, several weeks ago I attempted to buy some coins and still have not received them. Nor can I buy anything now since I keep getting the message that this has already been paid for and will be restored for free. I sent a message to you and got one in return stating that it would take several business days to get the problem corrected!! It’s still not corrected and I’m starting to get angry. If you can’t fix it I guess I’ll have to delete the game ! A reply would be appreciated!

eh. i play this game alot but the main thing i dont like about it are the coins. it costs 20 coins to see what letters you have wrong, imo thats a very inportant feture so you can figure it out. even if you complete the crosswords (big or small) in under 5 minutes, you only get at most 3 coins. that makes no sense because of how expensive the things in game are. it would take perfectly doing 7 entire crosswords to get to 20 coins. even if you just wanna show word or use the letter blast or wtv its called its still like 10 coins. i feel like we should be rewarded more coins for finishing crosswords, or they should make it so the powerups use less coins. - other then that the other annoying thing is kinda smaller but like half the time the themes dont match what the puzzle is about. it could be music monday, but only 1 question out of like 47? i think? is actually about music. theres no point to add themes into the crosswords if they arent going to be followed.

Good but sometimes the ads stick. Love the puzzles. It’s free and I’m good with patronizing the advertisers - most ads are only 30 seconds and some are shorter. My complaint is that there are a couple of words that are reused so frequently that even the clues themselves are starting to acknowledge it. Also, more recently, a lot of the ads have faulty or fake icons for x’ing out. You have to close and reopen the app, and then rewatch an ad to get to your puzzle, or you watch an ad for coins and then can’t collect because it’s stuck at the end. I suppose that’s just a small annoyance for a freebie that’s otherwise engaging and fun.

A Daily Entertainment. This reminds me of similar crossword that is printed on newspapers. My grandmother always had me try them with her but I always was confused on the answers. Now that I am older I can answer more than before . I like that there is advertising for free coins to gain hints. It can get a bit challenging but it keeps me sharp at new words, new actors I never knew the name of; & new challenges on a daily. I like how there is ranking & competition against others. I also like how you can pick and choose between different days on the calendar to finish if you did not complete it.

Great…But. I enjoy playing the daily puzzles. And I even put up with watching the constant ads. But the Royal Match ads are constantly freezing up the game. At the end of the 30 seconds, there’s no way to get out of the ad. No “X” comes up, you hit anything it brings you back to download game. I have to restart the device in order to get out of it. Also at the end of solving the crossword, it’s pretty lame to have to watch another ad to get credit for solving puzzle. Noticed that when I kept seeing open dates on the calendar and find I have to redo puzzle in order to get credit for the day. LAME

Too many ads, too easy.. I like the ideas here. The tournaments, the events, the aspects like that are not bad ideas, but man there are too many ads. Play a crossword, get an ad. Exit a crossword, get an ad. Finish a crossword, get an ad. Every single interaction seems to have a 75% chance to make you watch an ad, and I feel like I’m watching more ads than I’m even playing the crosswords, with how easy they are. I mean seriously, most crosswords feel about half new, half taken from the previous puzzles. It’s boring, and not engaging, and then after you finish this easy crossword you have to watch some sketchy ad where someone wins thousands for winning a game of bingo. The ads and lack of difficulty make it unfun to play.

Love this app but new update makes me want to quit. Yes I agree with other reviewers that the crosswords are a little too easy and repetitive. I’m ok with that, just need something to pass the time However the new update made the “upgrades” icons so much bigger and in the way so that the keyboard it tiny. I keep hitting the wrong letter or button and it’s frustrating having to go back and fix things. I don’t have big fingers where this would be an issue normally. Idk if the upgrade was so that people use the upgrades more (and thus using coins and spending money) but it’s making me want to give up on the app. It’s not as enjoyable anymore since the ease of typing in clues is gone.

It was great - now ruined. I’ve been playing this game for MONTHS at this point, probably close to a year. I had completed all of the achievements. I had well over 1800 coins. I was logged in with my Facebook account. I had completed both daily puzzles every single day. All of a sudden yesterday it was ALL DELETED! When I opened the app it had reset me as if I had NEVER played. Now every time I open the app, it does the same thing. Resets me to day one. The entire game is ruined. I’m going to delete the app if I have to start from scratch with tutorials on how to play EVERY SINGLE TIME I open the app. This is incredibly frustrating. I loved this game. It was one of my favorites, but no more. I can’t even send a message to the maker thru the app. Every time I try, it fails and says invalid message.

Your advertisers. Please pay attention to the ads you allow on this app. I realize they’re giving you money but COME ON!! This is supposed to be a family friendly app and there are ads for games about “desperate, bereft single moms” who were “tossed aside” for another, prettier woman (oh no!!!) - I believe that is for garden scapes or some trashy app. And now I just saw one saying someone lost 50 lbs in 2 weeks. Really?! PAY ATTENTION..IT MATTERS. You sent me an email asking for examples which I inadvertently deleted. I now have snapshots of these ridiculous ads so please send another email so I can forward them to you.

Good game, a few issues. I like the game, the puzzles work for someone who likes crosswords but can’t do the Sunday NYT. My one issue is that a few times a month the app has trouble loading and will freeze the screen for a few seconds which doesn’t help on a timed incentive puzzle. On the day I’m writing this review the app has not opened for a whole 24 hours, I open the app but it stays on the logo screen and then closes itself, not helpful for an app that gives you coins when you do daily puzzles and get a big coin reward if you play daily puzzles for 100+ days. It’s the first time it’s happened but it’s not the first issue I’ve had with the app.

too easy!!. It’s a fun app, and I enjoy it for its purpose, but most of the full puzzles are way too easy (I’ve been finishing them in less than five minutes) I downloaded this app because I was frustrated and didn’t want to buy some of the puzzles that New York Times Crossword had, but I need a challenge. It might be beneficial to include easy, medium, and hard puzzles for different people. (Similar to how the New York Times has easy puzzles on Monday and hard puzzles on Sunday). I still enjoy the app for when the NY Times fall short- it has a nice format without too many black squares in the puzzles and some of the clues are clever. I would download this app if you are a beginner at crosswords or if the NY Times crosswords are too difficult.

Need help.. I like the app, but the one thing I don’t like is that once you fill in the word one way and go to the next way everything is fine. But if you go back and forth from across to down and back again. The boxes that you filled in don’t get skipped, you have to fill them in again. Which makes it longer to finish the game and harder to beat your time. And if you try to fill in a word with some letters missing, trying to guess the blank letter, you have to keep hitting the blank box with every guess. That takes way to long to guess the word. Hope you can fix this issue the next time without changing the good things you had before.

Glitches Ruin The Game. I’ve been playing this game for a while now. Daily games are listed as being “free” if played on the day they are released while older, archived puzzles cost coins to access. I have noticed that I am being charged coins whether I am playing the daily “free” game or not; in other words, “free” is a misnomer. Additionally, a user is supposed to be able to access two ads to view for 5 coins apiece every two hours (“Watch for free $”). However, I have to repeatedly tap the ad button and go through multiple “no ad is available right now” messages before one will play. These issues make this game less fun for me to play and I am rethinking whether it is even worth it.

Screen freezes and annoying music is irritating but otherwise I enjoy it. Let me start by saying I love the crossword puzzles themselves even though as a US conservative, I can tell the creators, if from the US, are liberals... I therefore roll my eyes at some of the questions. That is all I have to say about that... The screen will often freeze during ads, which I cannot fix unless either I do a hard reboot of the iPad or I exit the app and get into three other apps before getting back into this one. In Windows machines, that is often caused by a memory leak where old memory does not get flushed out, but I have no idea if it is the same cause in an iPad app. Then there is the annoying music which I believe is a more recent addition. I place a mute in settings but the annoying music seems immune to my request for silence. I ultimately have to mute the sound on the iPad itself to get rid of it. I use the app every day when I have the time, so the bad things are not too bad. I will continue to use it and enjoy it. Thank you.

Ads. Since I like playing this game along with crossword explore but I’ve about had it with some of the ads locking up the game so I can’t play it. I have to back out and wait a few hours for the ad to clear, it’s not every ad just a couple of them. I can’t even write to the help support from the game because it locks up. Their support people keep telling me their working on it, but it’s been also a month since I first wrote to them with this problem, but nothing seems to be happening. The ads that lock up these games work fine on other apps that I use so I know it not on my end. Also so sick of the royal match ads they run every few minutes, which is one of the ads that locks up the game.

LOVE THIS CROSSWORD APP!. I look forward to doing these crosswords on the daily! My only complaint is when I run out of coins, sometimes I can’t get the videos to play to earn more. I enjoy the 5 second advertisements but, the 30 second ones are a little lengthy and time consuming. OH, and some of these can be very challenging.. most of the time I have to cheat and look up the answers or collect more coins!! I really do love this app though! All of the different categories and games you can play is great.

Ads will give you anxiety!!. You are forced to look at an ad after every puzzle you complete which consists of forcing you to stare at scary health related articles. It forces you to look at two articles for 15-20 seconds per article before allowing you to return to the game. If you have anxiety, especially health anxiety, I wouldn’t recommend downloading this game. It will only make your anxiety worse. If you don’t have anxiety, then this game will probably give you anxiety with all it’s horrible scary health ads. On top of that, you will also get full page pop up ads right in the middle of working on a puzzle. So you are getting ads DURING each puzzle AND AFTER!! If they fixed the ad problem in this game I’d rate 5 stars but the ads ruin the experience. I don’t mind ads as I know they support developers but in this case, the ads are just extremely stressful and we already have enough stress in our daily lives. We don’t need to be stressed out more when we are just trying to relax with a game! Very highly not recommended. There are lots of other crossword puzzles to choose from. I’ll be searching for a new one. I’d love to give this one another try in the future if the ads are fixed.

Love this app!!. This app is challenging without being frustrating. I’m not a huge crossword puzzle fan but I like this app. It keeps my mind active but helps me to relax. I sometimes wish you wouldn’t charge for added puzzles. But I do understand why you do that. My late mother is watching over me as I do her favorite pastime-crossword puzzles. I feel like she is with me & whispering the answers. I’ll look at some of the clues and answers just pop into my head. It’s funny because it is usually something I’m not familiar with. Keep up the good work!

Great crosswords, but too many ads.. I love crosswords and a good challenge! For the most part, this app has been great - love the crosswords, the ability to challenge yourself with using/not using hints, and the bit of competition. However, there are a LOT of ads… there’s an ad after every completed crossword which is getting quite annoying considering I complete the minis in 1-2 mins and the others in like 5-8 mins. I get it’s the “free version” and you can pay to have no ads, but there are other free crossword apps with no ads or maybe 1 ad every few crosswords.

Games. I’ve tried contacting you through the questions area available on the game regarding the number of puzzles I’m seeing. I was previously seeing the two daily puzzles and sometimes an extra one. I was also seeing the quest and the special packs of minis. Then one day everything stopped except for the two daily puzzles and periodically the special pack of minis. I get notices regarding the quest but the puzzles never show up. I’m just curious if this is now part of the subscription only. Also I’ve noticed the ads seem to hang up more frequently and you lose the free letters. I enjoy doing the puzzles as it exercises my mind. Thanks

Love the app, but now I have to wonder…. Is this a long term scam? I just got an in-game pop-up reading that my storage was full and I should click to fix it. This is bottom of the barrel scam and click bait of the most nefarious order. They do this, what else will they do? Considering just deleting the app as it seems to be run by less than scrupulous “people”. BEWARE the ads!!! Sadly there’s no ad free version. And sadly there’s no Millenial-free version that you can turn off all the help functions and “reward” badges… ribbons… whatever. It’s a phone game. Why do you need ribbons and such. It’s moronic and childish. I just want to play the crossword. And now a new low! The pop up ads come up on the keyboard! So as your typing a letter you’re almost forced to click on the ad. Wow!

Loved at first.. I have played this game almost nonstop since I discovered it. I do love the crosswords and tournaments. But I have gotten way too frustrated with the short lifespan of any rewards that I earn. To play a ton of crosswords, only to have any rewards last maybe two hours? No thank you. It’s not worth all of the time, but in only to have those rewards force you to keep playing for a couple more hours to use them? This is the only game I seem to have played that has such a short time span to use rewards earned. Will be deleting the app and finding a different crossword app I think.

The game. I usually don’t write reviews but thought I would this time. I love the puzzles, the only thing is , I have done things for coins, and don’t get the coins! That’s a good way to make some people just quit playing the game, I did my part, u should do yours. The only other nay, I personally think 20 coins for showing wrong letters is to much! Everyone I’ve talked to about this agrees. We should get a break on that! Other than that I love the game! Puzzles aren’t to hard where u just give up! Keeps me happy! FUN, FUN, FUN! Great Game!. DAILY CROSSWORD is fun and great game for anyone that enjoys working a crossword? What I specifically like about DAILY CROSSWORD is that each day the theme of the puzzles change. I also find it fun that each day you are challenged with a new crossword puzzle; but, you can go back over the puzzles that have been completed and challenge yourself to achieve a better score. Another keen element of DAILY CROSSWORD is that I get to decide on which puzzles I want to work. If I don’t want to do a Mini Crossword Puzzle I simply skip it and only choose the puzzles that I want. Overall, I find DAILY CROSSWORDS to be loads of fun!

Good Crosswords. It’s nice to do crosswords online rather than paper. Easier to backspace than erase. Covers all types of subjects. Only complaint - I used the “see wrong” button once. It turned it on for each game I was playing. I could see it was on, on it the front page when it tells you about your puzzle for the day. It wouldn’t let me turn it off. I kept trying with each game. It stayed on till I ran out of useable points and automatically turned off. Overall, really enjoy the app. Play everyday.
