Excellent!. So simple a concept, so well executed! They got the incremental difficulty just right. Once you start to master it, it gets a little harder so that you never get bored. And you feel satisfaction at beating a level. It is very relaxing at the same time, a great distraction when you need it. Highly recommended.

Ads. Dear game developers, It’s a clever little game, but... Depending on how they’re implemented, ads will either be perceived as a path to reward or as a punishment for playing. When they’re implemented as punishments, after a while playing your game feels like a series of punishments. So... we delete. This is simple psychology. Surely you can take some of that creative intelligence and come up with a way of monetizing with ads that doesn’t make playing your game a consistently negative experience. Also, you could ramp up the difficulty level a little more quickly.

Instrusive Ads. How are you getting away with overriding the silent setting on an iPhone and making the ad commercials play automatically on its speaker? Not cool.

Splashy Dots. This is a really good game nonetheless, but can you please add a feature in the game where you can create levels and put them online for others to try. I know this is a lot to ask for :/

Ad-free possible?. I see an option for ad free hints, but does that remove ads between levels? They really upset the zen-like flow of this game, which is its best feature. I like the repetitiveness of the puzzles, because it trains you to solve on instinct and reflex. 5 stars if i can get rid of the ads. Hints mean nothing to me.

Ok. Entertaining enough for a bit, deleted after seeing so many ads.

No instructions. The tutorial doesn’t even bother to have any written instructions. Delete.

Kinda boring. This game looks really fun at first, and I suppose for a while it may be. But then you advance until the game, and you realize that you've done the same puzzle, just rotated or with a dot moving a space or two, five times in a row. Some of the in-game animations look a little choppy and they can slow down the game. If I want to get to these so called hard levels, I've gotta bore my way through unoriginal levels and freezy animations. It's kinda slow, kinda boring, has the potential to be fabulous and snazzy but didn't really use it, but great music.

Good for a while. A good concept, nice art style. Doesn't seem to deviate at all from its core mechanic or require you to adapt a new approach to solving the puzzles at any point. I guess you could make the argument that Sudoku doesn't either, the boards just get bigger, but even still, I find myself getting bored instead of being excited to keep going.

A Great Game!. This game is amazing and fun to play on your free time. There are so many levels to play and figure out, each one being a unique design. This game is also very peaceful in a way that I like. It kind of helps me relax and let's me have fun at the same time. This is a great game and you should get it!

data collection. There is no way to opt out of this game collecting your data, which I refuse to allow, so I don’t even get to play the game. I get it’s a free game, but I’d rather it give me one day to play to see if I like it and then even just to be able to pay to opt out if data collection.

Love it. I really enjoy this game so far, just finished all of the easy levels. Each puzzle (so far) is short but interesting. My favorite thing is how forgiving the game is if you make a mistake; no need to restart the level.

Its a good game.. I personally think that this game is fantastic. It really makes you think. But there's one problem that bugs me a lot, and the problem is the sound the retry button makes if you do something wrong. It annoys me a lot. But other than that its great.

Great, but no way to just get rid of the ads. Game is fun. Is there no way to get rid of the ads without buying hints too? If I buy the minimum hint package, does that get rid of the ads forever? I don’t really need the hints.

I want to rate this higher, but.... Some of the puzzles feel unintuitive after a while. Why? Because all they do is rotate it and offer it to you the same way as before. Once you learn a puzzle, all you have to do is memorize it and wait for the next to show up, then put in the same rotation. Heck, sometimes I even ran into the same puzzle twice in a row, no rotations. If it wasn’t for the reward of a hint, I wouldn’t feel motivated to finish the same puzzle after level 8 or so.

Good game, when the ads aren’t playing.. This is a good puzzle game - nice challenge, but the ads...oh my! I see an ad at game startup, and another ad after each puzzle. Sometimes the puzzle takes 10 seconds, but the ad for the next puzzle takes 30 seconds! Removed after a few sessions because the ads take longer than the puzzles - just not worth the wait.

Paid for premium levels that don’t work! 😡. Changed my rating from 5 stars to 1. After playing through the original levels, I had enjoyed the game enough that I bought one of the premium levels for $10. IT DOES NOT WORK!! I complete a puzzle, but the game doesn't register that it is completed, so I can't move on to the next level. I contacted the company but got no reply. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME!!!!

Fantastic!!!. I don't do many game reviews but for this I have to! It's such a beautiful designed and relaxing puzzle game. I love puzzle games and I test a lot of games from the app store. This game is wonderful to play, beautiful interface, relaxing music and lots of levels. Please keep up the wonderful work - I love it! Looking forward for many more levels and challenges!

Levels are all the same. The ads are much less invasive than they must have been, based on other reviews. The problem is that after 5 minutes of play, you’ve seen basically all the levels, then they just repeat—different colors, or flipped left-to-right, but there’s not much to it. The aesthetics are nicer than many other puzzle games, though, so that’s a plus.

Really like it but.... I love this game. I have done a lot of the puzzles so far and still love it. My only problem is I bought the hint every level with no ads. Which is cool. I don't even use the hints I just wanted to no ads. Then I see their is another $10 purchase to play more levels. So I feel a little jiped that I spent $3 thinking I had the whole game and was just getting no ads but come to find out if I want the full game I have to pay more. So I think once I beat all the levels I have I will be done with this game. But all and all I love this game and highly suggest it to any one who loves puzzles games just don't pay for the no ads.

Not a challenge. I will admit, this game has a fun concept, but it’s extremely easy. After the “tutorial” where it tells you nothing and you just cluelessly play levels, it told me it was going to give me harder levels but I still complete them in maybe 10 seconds each. The ads, for once, come at a good pace and they aren’t annoying as you play. It’s seriously not that hard and I wouldn’t reccomend.

Wow. I downloaded this app and I played for about 3 months before I beat the free version which is amazing for just a free version and you have to pay for the rest of the levels for $30 which isn’t bad at all! I would totally buy the rest of the levels but I’m busy saving up for other things that it wouldn’t be worth it at the moment but it was an amazing game and I recommended it to all my friends and got them to play it for at least a week each. On top of that there are hardly any ads at which I loved and when one did come up it was only 5 seconds long. Another amazing thing about this game is that I never ran out of hints! When I ended the game I had about 75 hints left! If you ever feel like you’re ever going to run out of hints you really won’t (unless you use them ALL THE TIME) plus you get a hint every day which is a good feature. Love this game and whoever is reading through this whole review better go download it right now

Super boring. Very boring very fast. Got to 30 and didnt get any new mechanic of any sort. No “cant cross colors” or anything like that just do the same kinds of puzzles that can be completed in less than 5 seconds after looking at it for 1.

Ads.... I paid $3 to not get ads on this game, but sometimes when I open the game ads still pop up. I don't get ads every 5 puzzles now but I still should not be getting any ads... Still a decent game to waste time but 2 stars for lying and making money off of me by me paying to remove ads, then still making money off ads, and not any ads, but ads for games by the same developers of the same game, so you can make money off of me there too, I just find it a little scummy...

Fun game til! (Update!). It's a fun game that till it starts opening your App Store as an ad display! Then tries to get you to add stuff you don't want! Strangely enough after uninstalling and reinstalling the game is working fine! Having fun testing my brain and eye sight to find the route as quickly as possible! Might see about adding some challenge mode or something. Great game for time slaying or just want something to do!

amazing puzzle. Not only is this puzzle game not too easy and not too hard, but it is also a unique form of puzzle I have never seen before.

It's okay. There are too many puzzles, but that isn't the problem. It feels like I'm solving the same puzzle over and over. Also, I think that everything should be faster. The aesthetic is alright but when the mechanic is so simple (especially when the puzzles are a bit same-y), I want to go faster. But I can't because it takes time to make a move and it takes time to undo a move, it takes time to move onto the next puzzle. I feel like a dog at the end of a leash. I can go faster, but the game won't let me finish quickly. This next point is a bit pretentious. The art theme is a bit obnoxious especially the music after 5 minutes. I don't think you were trying to make an artistic statement, I think this game was made solely for the pursuit of wealth, which is fine. But the use of the art studio theme is a bit much for such a simple game.

Could be better.. Good: 1. Well designed UI and UX 2. Wonderful colors Bad: 1. Some times the judgement of operation is not reasonable. 2. Why design the main menu in such an ugly way... 3 and the most important one: most puzzles are just simply rotating or reusing part of previous ones. Seems 60% puzzles are generated by algorithms using micro-part of several puzzles. This makes whole game boring. I can figure out most puzzles without 5 sec with minimum steps. You should have designed it better.

Not a good game!. Not a good game. Many puzzles require one to pass between two dots more than once. What kind of good game would require or even allow such a thing?

Reinstallation DID HELP. For those who had problems with the App Store auto-opening -- this problem can be easily solved with an app reinstall. I guess futur updates of the app will solve it anyway. I really love the concept and actually my whole family is enjoying this game a lot. Great job an waiting for the future updates soon!!!!! 5*

Pretty, but.... This is a very pretty game and fun. The frequency of the ads though, diminishes the enjoyment. With no option to pay for removing the ads, I will be deleting it.

Ads ads ads ads ads... and more ads. Unplayable - it’s basically a stream of ads occasionally interrupted by a game, instead of the other way around.

Nice Game, Good Support. I wrote an earlier critical review that did not appear when I came to update it. I was put off by the seller's stated promise to remove ads with any purchase of hint packs Apparently, he/she did not intend for that to apply to the minimal 99¢ pack. The seller came through like a champ, however, and retroactively did remove the ads. Apparently, it was an honest oversight and all was made good. And the game does deserve 4 stars...for now. There are so many puzzles at each level, that I haven't had time to try the more difficult ones. The MEDIUM level is proving a little trickier and really showing the game's promise. Fully expect to update this review to 5 stars. ***RECOMMENDED***

Great game. I love this puzzler! The ad system actually isn't as annoying as most other games because you get a warning before the ad plays and they reward you with hints for watching. The main thing I don't like is how it lowers the volume of background audio even if the game music is turned off so I can't listen to my own music while playing :(

Ads galore. I can’t play the game for more than five minutes without having to watch 1-2 minutes of ads. There is literally a 1-2 minute ad after everyone 1-2 levels. I can’t see an option to buy the game and it is practically unplayable with all of the ads.

I don’t mind the ads, except that many don’t respect my sound settings (when muted by the wide switch and with all sounds and music off in the app), thus playing sound or music in ads embarrassingly in public places. If you like ads, you’ll love this game.. Because the game isn’t much fun, or challenging at all. And it plays preset fast and loose with its own rules. Sometimes a “cross over” looks a lot like a double back. Overall, I give it an emphatic meh. I’m gonna get rid of it to make some more room for other stuff

Great game ruined by obnoxious ads. The game itself is challenging and addictively playable, but you often spend more time watching ads than playing the game. Many of the ads can't be dismissed, forcing you to quit the game to resume playing. Deleted.

Amazing. Love the game. My only problem is the ads but that’s to be expected in a free game, just turn on airplane mode if it really bothers you that much. It’s very satisfying to play. What I like most about it is that instead of adding dumb new things that make the game more complicated and trial and error based like portals and blockades and things, it just sticks with the same premise but gets more challenging. I love it it’s so relaxing and the sounds and visual aspect of the game is great. 5 stars

Bad. Very bad game hate how you have to watch the adds 5 times for 1!! Hint. It is relaxing but you need to pay $4.50 to complete a purchase and it is boring.

Fix your add system and spam pop ups. Great game but the constant "Buy this package for no ads!" Message is worse than the actual ads themselves. Please fix this spam won't both this message and the Costa the ads but the game mechanics are great themselves. Some levels look like masterpieces and it's a very good brain game and quite challenging but good fun

A brief overview. Gameplay: basic puzzle which has been around for longer than phones. No massive new ideas brought other than smearing paint around (which does make it more satisfying). Sound: music is very relaxing. I actually turned off the other game sounds because I felt they took away from the atmosphere the background music and general game style were clearly aiming for. Puzzle Design: as I said before, it's a basic concept with some paint added. If you have a reasonable eye for patterns you will see multiples of the same puzzle, but rotated 90 degrees. Ad Density: ads do take away from the atmosphere and make the game less relaxing overall, but there aren't so many that I would say the atmosphere is ruined all together. Overall, a nice relaxed game with a simple core puzzle style. Pretty and reasonably challenging, even if the puzzles are recycled multiple times.

Concept is ok, been done before. The game mechanics are simple, it needs more depth in terms or power-ups. A game like this shouldn't have adds and nor asking for $ to remove them ...I mean you guys put them there in the first place and they're the worst kind (data wasting videos) $9 is way too much for the expansions that I presume are just more of the same thing but with an image behind it.

Inappropriate adevertising. I was watching my friend play this game when she was playing she got an add about a game that is definitely not 4+, while splashy dots is fun it is an annoyance that there are so many adds that are not good for younger kids.

Fun but looong and frequent ads. I enjoy this game, but the ads are not only random and frequent, they are all a minimum of 30 seconds. Hard to find it worthwhile enough to wait through the endless ads.

Way too many levels and ads for no reward. 36 puzzles to complete in one section? For what? One hint, and a completion tick. And a dozen ads to get there. This is a reasonable concept that could be nice, but is far too drawn out... instead making it boring.

Incorrect pricing. I accidentally clicked on the 'purchase 20 hints and remove ads' button which says it cost $2,99 but $4,50 when asked to confirm purchase, I went to screenshot in order to send to the developers to explain there is an error and instead of screenshotting my phone simply scanned my finger and confirmed purchase. I would send this through email but I can't seem to find one for you so I hope this review is seen. Your game is however very relaxing and interesting, it was simply inconvenient that I was charged when I wasn't intending to purchase.

Superb Game. Installed it following a suggestion by the AppStore. Thank you developers for investing efforts not only in creating a beautiful UI and using soothing music but also in the game logic as well. Absence of any kind of power-ups makes this game more enjoyable. It is a complete package for me. I've been playing this game for two weeks for now and play with whenever I need small breaks. The number of levels per difficulty provide sufficient experience to move on too another level. I will try to play all the levels. Yes ,the frequency of ads is annoying at times but I use them as signals to end my breaks :p (and developers have got to make money too!)

long unexitable ads every 2 minutes. honestly i would've enjoyed this game if it weren't for all the ads. similar type of game to the game flow, but i don't need to stop every 2 minutes to watch an unexitable video on a random game i don't intend on buying

Advertisements are ridiculous!. Besides the frustrating number of advertisements that one is plagued with in trying to enjoy this game, the colours on the palate are quite muted and become mundane after the fourth or fifth panel. Keep trying!

And I love how the levels have the feel like it’s an art gallery or something! Some levels I can get right away, other’s I have to try repeatedly. I love the challenge!

Need better control over ad content. Loved this simple puzzle app... but it immediately got deleted after it auto-played a video ad with full sound on (phone was on silent mode.) I don't mind an occasional ad but quality control is important.

Incomplete. Never finishes the last 2 minutes or the last two blocks of directions. Incomplete directions. Says you have arrived prematurely.

Doesn't show up in settings area. The app doesn't show up in the settings for cellular data usage. I erased the game because I was unable to control whether or not the game used cellular data. Since I pay for my data I should be able to control which apps use it.

Easy levels are repetitive and a waste of time. 99% of the easy levels are exactly alike ... making a 9, 6, or G symbol over and over ... needs a little more creativity in that department. Otherwise, I'm just doing the same thing hundreds of times. Not fun.

Snoozefest. This is a dull game. It is connect the dots only less rewarding: no real picture, just geometric lines.

Fun puzzle game, very small issue. I have unlimited hints purchased and I still see the 20 hints prompt in the level selection screen. Pretty fun to play and waste some time on.

Popup spam during game. Would continuously generate ad pages that would spam you with "reward" ads and open up App Store to try to get you to download stuff.

Bad Ad. First ad that appeared in game was a quite violent and (cartoon) bloody ad for "Despicable Bear". The ad's tone doesn't seem to match the tone/family friendliness of your game...

Always reliable. I can always count on to get me where I need to go. It is also super convenient that I can look up the ratings/reviews of restaurants and other attractions directly in the app.

Gets old pretty quick. For the first set of levels it was fun but then every set is the same, and doesn't really change difficulty. It's very repetitive and tedious.

Need Verbal Instructions. The game is a nice concept, but the tutorials offer no verbal instructions, likely on purpose to get the player to burn through the free hints and be pressured into buying more. The half minute ads between levels with no early exit are also a major turnoff.

Ummm. Good concept, great aesthetic. But the puzzles seem to go from really easy to really hard, and the ads are REALLY frequent. And WARNING: some of the ads are... not kid friendly. There was one for a game that's all about violently hurting a cartoon bear that showed blood gushing and him taking a hammer to the eye. I don't care, but I imagine parents letting Their kids play this won't be happy.

Had such high hopes, but.... Well, the copywriter did a great job, anyway. So good, in fact that I'm beyond frustrated that the sound effects weren't calming (beware, misophonics), the music wasn't soothing, and I wasn't able to feel the splashes with my hands. I'd had high hopes because Quell is one of my favourite games, and I love art. If I'd not read the blurb before trying this game, I'd not be as annoyed now. (Or maybe I would... It's been one of Those Days...) Anyway. Maybe you won't hate it as much!
