6 months in. Not horrible ….. but I struggle to keep it connected locally. No problem with remote connection so long as my hotspot stays charged. But unfortunately you cannot operate slides and awnings remotely….. make sense but if it doesn’t connect locally you cannot stand out side and watch for interference when the slides come out. In fairness I have not contacted tech support as I was hoping the new update would correct…. No such luck.

Nice when it works . . . frustrating when it doesn't. When working this app connects locally or remotely. But several times I have had the local setup get into a loop where it connects (Bluetooth) and then disconnects every couple seconds. Really frustrating. I have tried resetting the phone, deleting and reinstalling the app, etc. Eventually something works and it restarts. But in the meantime it is unusable. When working, however, it is a nice way to monitor status. On another note, now I am getting the same Temperature Sensor Error “ that they show in the images on the app store! It should show the cabin temp.

I wish it worked like it is supposed to. Intermittent at best. I also often get the continuous boot loop. Only reads the front grey and black tanks. Even while controlling locally, there is quite a delay when you push a button and expect a light to change or awning to move. I was told an update was coming out on Thursday to fix this issue. They didn’t specify which Thursday; three have passed without it being fixed yet. I have been able to remotely connect a few times. It would be nice if I could rely on it to work all the time without me having to reset, reboot, and reinstall. I paid about 900 bucks to upgrade to this unit so I could have remote access. After doing so and upgrading the firmware per manufacturers instructions, one of the switches quit working, and I have way less use of the app (locally and remote). I called and emailed for support. They were very nice and briefly tried to help but they seem to have lost interest. I will update the review if they ever get it working.

Doesn't work do not buy any RV with this system.. My app connected and said an update was needed now just says the update failed and will not connect. I have called tech support and they just said Eclipse hasn't been released. I find it hard to believe it did connect then went to update and now it's due to Eclipse not being released. This is a brand new 2023 Coachman Nova. Do yourself a favor and buy nothing with the Firefly system until they get it fixed or tech support will help. So sad how they advertise it working and the remote connection now nothing works and it's like oh well. I purchased this unit for the remote features for my dogs. We will see if they care enough to fix it for the hundreds of people on the forums that can’t connect either.

Sleazy money grab. Terrible reliability.. First.. the app and RV module are extremely unreliable.. barely beta quality. Every update basically kills the pairing. Constantly having to reboot the module to gain any functionality. Now.. they have the nerve to try and make existing customers start paying monthly to use the garbage service they provide. Won’t use this in my next RV.

This app is terrible. I am going to subscribe to the service and start requesting refunds for every month it doesn’t perform as described and perhaps they will finally fix the issues. The thing is so unreliable it barely ever connects. The WiFi in the van is not the issue as my Victron CerboGX has no issue maintaining a connection to VRM on my tri-modem bandwidth bonded speedfusion network. The app is poorly designed and responds slow. I see no effort to add new features like Alexa/HomeKit/Google Home integration either. It’s amazing they were even able to get this through App Store Review without using In App Purchases so I expect the app will be pulled eventually and you’ll lose access to updates which it so greatly needs. Further, the entire system is super insecure. It uses SocketIO over an HTTP connection. Again, something Apple should have never approved (access to insecure transports). I tried to solve some of the many issues myself by building my own client but their backend socket server is crap and unreliable which is likely what leads the app to be crap and unreliable. Open source this awful app and I’ll happily contribute to make it not utter garbage.

Incredibly disappointed. Incredibly inconsistent reliability. They clearly put this on the market without properly debugging it. My frustration dates back to December 2020. I’ve been through three modules. Cloud connection reliability even worse than in person Bluetooth. If you knew how much I paid for this you would cry.

Works well. Don’t believe the haters!. This app and module have gone through many revisions. Currently if you have stable internet it works wonderfully. We suffered not knowing our park internet was spotty and it wreaked havoc on our connection to the panel and controls. Currently it works perfectly on our own mifi.

Works maybe 50% of the time. The potential is there but it only works about half the time, local or remote. When it does work, some tank levels don't match the actual Firefly screen in my van. The app design needs help. Some important controls are at the very top of the screen and they run into iOS controls. You have to wonder if the designers actually try to use this app outside of their emulators. I would never release this version.

Brand New American Tradition Coach - Terrible App. We just purchased a 45-FT American Tradition RV with a VegaTouch System. I have updated them firmware twice, contacted technical support, updated mywifiranger, installed the VegaTouch eclipse on 2 iPhones and 1 iPad, and I’m having the same errors others are describing. The APP does not work and this is not my first rodeo with iPhone APPS that interface with my RV. I will be taking up the matter with American Coach, because the system is interlinked with everything! I’m very disappointed this system made it into a 2022 coach without thorough vetting.

No Longer Connects. this app doesn’t work. All it does is loop in circles trying to pair after entering the pin. not recommended.

I am about done with VegaTouch and firefly!. I have had my 2022 coach since October of 22 and the VegaTouch module and App have not worked correctly for more than a day or 2 since.. Did the the first Firmware update in October and ever since have had a rear Temp Sensor error that will correct itself after several weeks for 2/3 hrs then back to error…. Today I did another Firmware update… once completed the system and coach’s power was cycled off, disconnect switches turned off chassis and house batteries off and disconnected from shore power.. when I powered back up, the Temp Sensor error was still there, and now the app keeps cycling trying to connect. I deleted and reinstalled the app… now when I press scan to locate the network it begins the scan for 4-5 seconds then stops.. and yes Bluetooth is enabled for VegaTouch.. this is so frustrating!

Not stable. Not useable. Used to work but now just keeps resetting or trying to connect over and over. IOS 16. Deleted and reinstalled and re-paired, etc, etc.

Terrible. Nothing but problems. App now says too many devices connected. Not true but it will not work.

Not worth the money. The only good thing is that you MIGHT be able to connect remotely to check the status. We switched to this system over a year ago and the grey and black tanks still don’t register on my device, so I have to go in and out of the coach to check the status of those tanks while I’m draining or filling. I was told over a year ago that they were aware of this problem and they were working on it…. I’m still waiting for that update. Very expensive, zero customer service, no motivation from anyone in that company, just don’t waste your money or time. The young man who installed our new system appeared lazy, non-caring, and unmotivated. If I had known the entire company was that way, I would never have purchased the “upgrade.”

Have to turn off main power to reset every few days. When working, this app and the system are very handy. Unfortunately the connection between the phone app and device stops working every few day (2-4) and tech support said to turn off 12 volt power to the coach to reset it, which does the trick. Right now it’s 4:00 am and I want to use the app to turn up the furnace heat and No go. Very frustrating in a new $300k RV. I’ve updated the firmware on the device and the app whenever there’re available. I always hope that will do the trick but not so far.

Do they have a QA department?. Reading other reviews and seeing that the problems I experience with this app are universal. It will randomly do the continuous loop of trying to connect and then that temp sensor error. If it connects then it’s useful but it’s a crapshoot on whether it will connect or not. I truly do not understand how they cannot fix these issues that have gone on for so long. It also would be nice to see an updated UI, but please fix this app!

Works Well But Only On One Device. In our experience, we could only use the software on one device. We downloaded the software for both IOS and Android devices and only one would work at a time. It appears that the system will only allow one authentication. If it worked on an IPad, it would not authenticate on an Android phone and vice versa. . We got the system to monitor our motorhome remotely and we can do that albeit only on one device.

Great concept-completely unreliable app. Won’t connect. No temp control option when it worked for a minute…..This app needs an overhaul

Works 95% of The Time. The app works pretty well but still has a few bugs in the latest release. I haven’t tested everything yet but I’ve discovered a couple of things that don’t work. You can’t control the electric part of the Aquahot system locally or remotely. Also some of the accent lights won’t turn off with the app when initiated by the main control panel. I reported this to the support team and hopefully this will get fixed with the next release. I’m using the Eclipse app on a 22 Tiffin Allegro Bus.

Synergy. Doesn’t seem to work with WiFi-based Firefly. My version does not have Bluetooth. Do not waste your money.

Bluetooth connection issues. Bluetooth connection most of the time is unstable. Also, if you have zoom enabled with large font settings on your phone the layout of the app does not fit the screen. It’s too expensive of a device to have any connection issue!

Works Amazingly Well. This app is working perfectly in my Galleria 24Q!! I’ve tried every single option and every one of them worked flawlessly! So pleased!!!

I had hi hopes. I spent the money got the upgraded module so I could control my coach remotely when needed. Nope bad idea. Don’t waste your money, the module crashes every day at least once and the app is perhaps the most unstable iPhone app I have ever had.

Do not buy. Don’t buy this system. The Bluetooth will work 80% of the time and remote will never work.

Old version worked once or twice. New version refuses to connect at all. Bug filled mess. Works once or twice, then goes into endless pairing loop. Have to depower and reboot firefly to get it to work (which means either hpulling firefly panel off wall, unplugging or depowering whole RV (which is actually easier). This bug has been present for well over a year and a number of “upgrades”. If there were an alternative I would be overjoyed switch.

Sad. It had potential to be a great tool. Can’t open the app on my IPhone at all, and can’t get it to sync with my IPad. Too bad.

So so Bad.. This app is so bad. I can’t believe this company has done nothing to try to improve log in experience. I was given a couple sessions free trials so far it’s been over a year of dealing with this horrible app. With absolutely no improvements on connectivity ? The app takes unbelievable long wait times to log in if it logs in at all ? I have to do daily resets to even get it to somewhat log in. And thats for local log in. Forget about trying to log in remotely. It’s non-existent most of the time. Don’t waste your money or time in this crap, Because this company has invested little time in trying to improve the customer experience
