crashes Roku, no support. I’ve been trying to reach out to OutsideTV via multiple avenues regarding a problem but have so far received no response. After about 30 minutes of watching any program, the app crashes my Roku to the point that I have to turn off the TV and unplug the Roku. I’ve attempted to reach someone on social media, app support, etc and get no response. Probably have no choice but to cancel my subscription.

Awesome Outdoor TV. The best videos and format for outdoor adventure sports. Gotta find a way to watch it on my big screen😁👍

App is unfriendly. It is difficult to find what you want to watch. I was not able to use the app on my tv with Roku or Apple TV because I could not login to my account without errors. Had to use iPad.

Modernize your streaming. I don’t want content live this on my phone. Please add the option to stream to Google ChromeCast. The stream to Apple TV seams like the old controls. Connecting can be spotty and the stream stutters. I have a fast home connection. Fiber with 300 up and down. This should play smooth. Please fix it.

Favorite Channel. I love Outside TV+. I used to have sling and I would only watch Outside TV. Once I found out Outside TV+ was on Samsung TV I canceled my Sling subscription. Keep up the great work.

MTV - Mikaela TV. I’m here to watch stories about Mikaela Shiffrin but I’m sure I will enjoy the other fine programming on Outside TV too eventually.

A lot of content. One can spend hours looking at all of the content. I’m not what goes where however. Also is there also digital magazine material?

Finding content and managing playback the worst. I was trying to do something simple like replay the Killington World Cup GS races. Search function does not work. Categories do not work in that they limit the last 10 or some random number of events. Finally found it through a randomly appearing “World Cup Replay” icon… who knows how or why that appeared. Not sure who Outside+ outsourced this to, but the poor user interface and search function is something that might have been acceptable 20 years ago… If they didn’t have exclusive content I would have given up ever watching Outsiude+

No chromecast. Chromecast is unavailable on my device. I don’t want to have to hold my phone to watch videos. There’s probably a solution that involves the purchase of something else, but if I can chromecast redbulltv and gcn, I’d think outsidetv could find a way to include that feature.

Too many bugs and hard to navigate content. Far too many bugs in the app (installed on Apple TV) and very difficult to navigate content. Screen tends to go fully black often while audio continues normally. Hard to reverse this. Many essential features need to be enhanced for a better overall user experience.

Why confuse FIS with aces with a new streamer?. They finally started dialing in streaming for FIS Nordic and downhill races and then outside decided to jump in on the mix. Great, could be awesome except the best announcers stayed with peacock and now you can only live stream. For die hard fans who follow the circuit all season, so disappointing to have it totally changed just for the US races. And why no on demand right after the race has finished?! Instead we have to wait for an undetermined amount of days at which time we’ve already found out the results. SO DISAPPOINTED with the Loppet Cup coverage. Huge races for the Americans yet we in America can’t even watch on demand on peacock bc outside jumped in and took the streaming and ALSO won’t put it on demand. Awful all around

Poor video quality for event playback. I just tried to watch the replay of run 1 of the World Cup Giant Slalom ski race from Killington on November 25th. The video quality is terrible, switching continuously back and forth between normal quality and highly pixelated. Complete amateur hour. It’s 2023. Streaming video has been a solved problem for at least a decade. How is this even possible. Your customers, and also the US Ski Association who sold you the broadcast rights for their races deserve better than this. Whoever in your organization thinks this is acceptable should be ashamed .

Poorly designed. One of the worst streaming experiences I have found. From a poorly designed interface, user unfriendly navigation, to lacking basic streaming features. No watchlist, no blurbs on what each movie or series is about, some don’t even have trailers. So basically if I find a title interesting, I have to exit the app and google the title to research it myself just to find out what the movie is about. When I subscribed to Outside Plus this “bonus” feature of the membership is listed as being an $80 Value. No way this streaming service is worth $80 a year. I am a longtime reader of Outside Magazine and love the quality of their stories and the design and layout of the magazine and website. I was looking forward to experiencing Outside TV, but this app is obviously not up to the Outside brand standards and I can’t believe that they would put their name on something so awful. Extremely disappointed.

Sweet App with Sweet Videos!. Killer action and adventure videos. Have a great collection of films and shows too. Definetly worth the it!

Terrible. Worst app experience ever. Once you start watching something (which is is likely to be something you did not even want to watch in the first place) you cannot navigate away without closing the app and starting over. I signed up, and paid, to watch World Cup skiing at Killington. Total fail.

Invalid app, email or password. VERY frustrating. I tried installing this on my TV and kept getting “ invalid details… invalid app, email or password”. This is an extremely vague and ambiguous message. I decided to try and install this app on my iPhone and create the account there instead. I received the exact same message. The app is the app, how can that be invalid? My email address is my email address, it is not invalid. it gives you no guidance as far as password requirements, but I tried a password using uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and that didn’t work so I added a special character and it still didn’t work. What a waste of time.

Two stars only, maybe 1 star content is good. Only option is airplay on the app and website. Watching movie on my phone and try to go away from the app to message and the movie stops?! App always has to be on to keep watching?! Can’t even lock my phone to save battery cause? You guessed it, movie stops streaming! Update this app! Not going to resubscribe for sure as it stands.

Forgotten Password?. Please add a “forgot password” button to the log in/I already have an account page.

Beware - very difficult to unsubscribe. You will continue to get charged repeatedly. No response from app support. $4.99 will continue to get charged to your card. After 3 months I am now having to cancel my credit card because I can not get Outside to stop charging me. So many other ways to get great outdoor content without having to worry about repeat charges.

Pls consider. Most apps nowadays are free and most are very good. So If I decide to pay extra on a monthly basis for your upgrade I do NOT expect to see commercials, and dont wish to be interrupted literally every three minutes with your request for reviews, and likes, and again commercials. Not all of us have an attention span of a mosquito. And I think most of us hate commercials. If We are willing to pay extra for your programming don’t show me another commercial

Oof. I don’t think I can take listening to the Defender commercials again. Nothing like listening to someone talk about vibes driving $120k car with a bunch of people and they’re $120k car

Clunky interface. Perhaps we are spoiled with the slick interface of all the streaming platforms out there. But this one just feels a little bit rough. A few missing points: My list Video descriptions Comments/reviews on the positive side, it is an incredible collection of adventure video. One stop shop!

Fave app. Love the app. Super smooth and easy to use. Constantly being updated with great new content. Even worth the premium subscription .

Poor App. I really want to love this app but the live tv goes out too much. I also find it really hard to find the content I’m looking for or even the content they have. There should be a way to save videos you want to watch to your playlist so we dont have to search around each time. The app could then learn your interest and make suggestions accordingly.

Good content poor app. This app freezes anytime you try to fast forward. The smart TV app is even worse and makes it unusable. Very frustrated I subscribed to watch a frozen screen. Don’t waste your money on the +

Outside+ is a terrible piece of software. I signed up for Outside + so I could stream the Killington World Cup races. I almost never watch live so if I can’t stream replays this app is useless to me. The navigation tools in the app are non-existent. There was no menu options for replays. The app would only let me watch the live event which was run 2. When I did find something that said USS Event Replays buried in the menus it only showed me a 30 second promo then stops, no option to watch it. I also did a search for Killington and this event didn’t even show up. In addition, if you select Live TV from the home menu it takes over the screen with no options to back out or close it. You have to close the app and restart it to get out of the Live TV. Seems this software never made it out of alpha test.

Unstable. The app appears to have a nice library of movies however the app (both iPhone and Fire TV) are unstable. The app doesn’t app on FireTV. On the iPhone I can log into the app but then will boot me out only to prompt me to sign in again. Trying to sign in again I am notified I do not have an account. Not much attention has been given to this aspect of the Outside Media Empire. Guess the private equity group fired all the developers when they fired all the magazine staff.

No access to content. It is a website of commercials. You cannot actually watch any of the episodes even if you pay the monthly fee. They never miss auto billing you, but you will never have access to any of the content.

User-unfriendly. After paying for the subscription it’s like pulling teeth to be recognized as a subscriber so you can access full length of the films rather than just the previews. Also, if you have different types of devices say a google-fi phone, apple tablet and windows laptop, it will not recognize your account, not even allow you to login without paying for a subscription again. It doesn’t recognize series you’ve started watching, so you have to look them up each time. There are some great cinematography work on here. It’s just not user friendly enough to keep paying for it.

Ignoring content, app is very unfriendly. Outside content and ecosystem is great, and the reason I’m here. But the app itself is rather unfriendly. There are no features like “continue watching” for a series I’m interested in. Playing the same episode doesn’t even resume where I left off. The kicker was Outside TV... somehow, clicking into that tab removes all controls and doesn’t bring them back with any gestures, so the only way to stop is to force quit. Love the idea and intention but the execution needs a lot of work to make this enjoyable.

The content is fine but the apps are lacking. I’m using the AppleTV version which tends to crash. The content is not that well organized, and and is lacking descriptions, length, sometimes series and episode information. The back button does not necessarily take you back to where you came from. It can be better integrated with the Apple TV so your content shows up in the AppleTV catalog and what to watch areas as it would drive more subscribers. The app also crashes easily.

Greatest Adventure App. This is a great adventure app that lets me check out my favorite activities like surfing, skateboarding, BMX, Motocross, and more! It definitely motivates me to get out there and try new things.

Great content, terrible app. Outside has tons of excellent content but the app makes it incredibly inconvenient to access it. The interfaces for searching, sorting, saving, fast forwarding/rewinding, turning on closed captioning, and browsing are all fighting for last place in terms of usability (or simply don't exist). I've only used it to watch a few things because I constantly have to delete and re-install it because the app crashes so frequently that using it becomes a chore. If Outside could implement some basic functionality this library would be awesome.

No chromecast. There’s a useless icon to enable chromecast but it never connects limiting a user to only watch on phone. For the cost of a subscription they should able to make an app that actually works. The only work around is using apple connect to a apple connect device. I gave it one star because a feature should be able to do what it is intended for.

Can’t access content and difficult to use.. Whoever programmed this app definitely doesn’t use it. Just another waisted trap subscription that doesn’t work when I want it to. Nothing but issues with this app and site. I want to watch St George 70.3 Mens Championship on my IPad and it is only available for the women. I can watch it on my desktop but not here.

Shiffrin documentary. I actually like the channel but one of my big reasons in getting it was this documentary. There are only two 10 minute episodes and none have been added since it started. Probably shouldn’t have used that as the advertising piece.

Discovery. Wish I had discovered this channel earlier! Outstanding content and presentation, thanks for being there.

Awesome content, awful interface. Some of the best content, but they really need to sort out the app! Impossible to navigate, no way to create a watchlist, not user friendly at all. Can never find what I’m looking for, or even stumble upon similar stuff. Really awful app all around

Good videos on a poor app. Outside has a great libraries of videos however they are hard to navigate and feel like they were just dumped into this app. With my outside + membership content there is so much potential but they keep all of that on the website and this is just a teasers to watch some of the videos on your phone only. There is no chrome cast support in the app so you have minimal streaming options from your phone and once again it pushes you back to using the website

Horribly designed app. This app makes it incredibly hard to find movies to watch. You can only view one movie at a time when scrolling and there are no text descriptions.

Great content if only the app worked. There’s so much great content, it’s a bummer it’s on such a terrible app. I can’t recommend you pay for Outside +, unfortunately. Whenever I try to watch something, I get sound but no video, just a black screen.

Very simple interface - lacks content. After downloading app realized it was a very simple, yet somewhat clunky app to navigate content. A lot of the content I had already scene and found thru two other app providers which left very little original programming to watch. The app could use a new face lift and some updates.

Worst website I have ever encountered by far. Everything I have. Punched up is available with a subscription. But I already have an outside + subscription. It’s so bad I suggest you fire the whole management staff and start over. I notice in comments And reviews that I have plenty of company.

No response. It works okay on a mobile device but it appears to not play well with my laptop. No response from customer service, technical support, or anyone after multiple attempts and several days to resolve an ongoing streaming issue from my laptop. Not even an automated reply kindly stating that the response time may be delayed due to an overwhelming issue with their platform being very disappointing.

Very frustrated.. Lots of bugs and very hard to navigate the app Very frustrated. I paid for subscription but unable to play content “from the ground up”. It fails to play from the appleTV app. All my other apps work fine. I have tried multiple times and reset everything multiple times. I also tried to use airplay to stream it to Apple TV from the app on my my iPhone. However as soon as my iPhone screen turns off (after 30 secs) it stops playing. Very frustrating. It I can’t watch the content I want they I might as well cancel the sub. That’s a real shame as the content looks like it could be great if only I could watch it. Even the option to send feedback email in the app does not work.

Worst App I’ve Ever Used. Paid for an annual subscription to Outside+ so I could access Warren Miller content and guess what? You can’t access it despite being a paid member on either Apple TV or on iPhone. From the comments, this issue is at least 3 years old and they have not addressed it. That is beyond negligent. I want a full refund of my annual subscription and want it cancelled so I never have to experience this frustration again. Oh and good luck streaming via Air Play from your computer to your Apple TV, that doesn’t work either. Well done Outside+ management. Your App developer must really hate working for Outside Online to let this issue even exist much less for several years. Just, wow!

Gravel races. Love watching the gravel races from start to finish instead of seeing a 20 minute blurb thank you

Outside rocks!. In the middle of a Midwest summer, a good video can take you back to the most magical place on Earth. the Mountains!

Can’t recommend. There are too many issues with this app - both on AppleTV (4K) and the iPad app to recommend. Both these devices are less than six months old, so it’s not like it’s old hardware. I’ll be canceling after one month. First issue - I subscribed to be able to watch movies. Only about 1 in 3 films I’ve gone to watch actually works. The rest get an error saying they can’t load, or on the iPad app, they just result in a blank screen. Same movie. Different platforms. Same issue. Second issue - you can’t hit pause on the series or movies. For real. Actually, to be more specific, you *can* hit pause, but you can’t *unpause*. Your only choice then is to exit out of the film entirely.

70.3 Indian Wells. The ‘live’ broadcast is not working AT ALL. This app is garbage

Won’t even let me create an account. I downloaded the App and can’t even get it to accept my new account creation. Unable to use at all so deleted it.

Outside Watch… great content, terrible player. Really enjoy the content available on the App but the movie player platform is awful. It is really hard to navigate, pause, restart.

Garbage tvOS app. Can’t even log in. I get an Internal Server Error each time. But it does work on iOS… 🙄

Live stream crashes. I just want to watch some TV in the background while I’m cooking, and am trying to get off Youtube. But it’s hard when Youtube is the only app that works!

Ironman 70.3. While the content of the “commercials” is great — this app keeps crashing after each commercial break. I have to close, and reopen after each one to restart the livestream. It’s also glitchy while trying to cast it to the tv. This girl just wants to watch some triathlon!!!

Blocked by login screen. Cannot create an account. Gets stuck at “please check that you entered your information properly” Oh well I guess.

No streaming for other devices. The Live TV has no buttons to stream to an Apple TV or Chromecast. I’m not watching a full Ironman on my phone, that makes no sense to have no streaming option…

Impressed with this App. Definitely worth the download! Great interface, and plenty of content to choose from. As a lover of all things outdoors, this app keeps me busy all day when I'm stuck inside.

UPDATE ME!. This app is in desperate need of an update. Very buggy and lacking content.

Need to update AirPlay settings!. For a streaming service to not enable the phone or computer to time out and need to keep it “awake” or it stops airplay is just crazy. FIX THIS !!!

Sweet App!. I don't get Outside TV on DirecTV, but this app solves that problem.

Horrible app. Outside+ subscription specifically is a rip off with this app. App barely functions. Replays of races are often not the right ones. Using the app on Chromecaster often it just spins.

Cast. Why can’t I chrome cast off this app? Seriously?

Ads you can never get out of!. watch out where you tap, they launch you into an ad that never leaves your screen. and you can't get rid of it even when yelling at Siri
