No content. Very little content uploaded. Most is not that interesting

Great content. But…. Love outside and all of their content they offer. But…I wish the app had a way to sort the articles in chronological order by date they were published.

No fast forward on replay & poor search function. Great content but no good way to consume it easily

Small screen. How can you promote video and “30 publications” and yet make the decision not to support the ipad. What a bone headed decision. Either i view this content on my tiny phone screen while my ipad sits idly nearby or i run it on my ipad with the zoom function rendering everything looking really bad. I know Outside is struggling financially but this “saving” can only cost them. Insane.

Get a better app vendor. It’s useless.. for an organization that is moving into larger territory acquiring new assets etc to survive this is how we connect to you.. get it right. Stop just repeating that same we get in daily emails etc.. useless

Getting Better. Appreciate the ability to bookmark now. I had given 1 star. It’s up to a 3. Why only 3? Because I’ve gotten emails for years & get magazine through Apple. There’s very little difference. Still hanging in there, though.

Cannot subscribe. Hi, Was a previous gaia user. Cannot create an outside + account. Cannot contact support. Can no longer use gaia.

Rating too high. Doesn’t even load

Update from prior review re crashes. Thank you developers! App is working now and I’m able to log in and read articles from various Outside publications.

NOT user friendly. So difficult to use; unable to connect on any Tv devices, requires logging in again and charges for another subscription on every app I login! Incredible in this age of technology we can’t make this easier. No response from customer service.

Disappointed. I think the other 5 star ratings must be from employees. This app is technically functional, but way below the current standard. I love the Outside magazines, but this app looks like something from 10 years ago.

Cannot see any content.. Was able to login, but get a “oops, we crashed” every time I try to use the app.

Cannot Log-In even though I am Paying. I paid for a GAIA membership that came with 1 year of Outside+ membership and was unable to log in. So after a week or so waiting for response from their email help desk, I was told that I had two memberships with two different email addresses. They corrected the error with multiple email addresses and the very nice support ticket representative even refunded me for one of the subscriptions on an old email address. Well, turns out the problem is not fixed as my GAIA membership nor my Outside+ membership show up when I log into my account. When I try to log into this app, I get a message saying I am not a member. I know times are hard for magazines, but this is not going to help me recommend memberships and subscriptions.

Awesome but.. I love the app. I was hooked on their channel and their programs were inspiring and informative. My favorite recreational activities are cycling, hiking and kayaking. But all of the sudden they went of the air. So I tried desperately to find out about where could I watch my shows. So I downloaded this app which is filled with fascinating articles and blogs. But there’s nothing about kayaking. I also subscribed to the magazine. But again, nothing on kayaking. Other than that I love the app and that’s why I gave it five stars. _ Burtart1

Falls well below the mark. The app is a very poor option if you are an Outside+ subscriber in comparison to the ease of use of the website, even the mobile site. It would be nice to easily search articles or look up book marked articles while on the go from my account but there are nearly no useful features in the app. Please please improve the functionality and usefulness for subscribers. *I wasn’t aware when writing that the app is brand new. Really hoping for some updates soon

Good Content but Poorly Organized. Please improve how articles are organized. To access the category filter, I have to scroll through outdated content (some posts are more than a month old) and articles that aren’t relevant to my interests. The category buttons should be at the top, and the latest articles should appear first. The current format makes the app seem stagnant.

Great publication terrible app. Quality publication. Nothing to say. App is not very well thought out. There is no way to create a home page that only shows articles from the brand you want. I am aware that there is a carousel of activités and brands at the bottom of home, but it doesn’t actually do anything! All the different pages link to the same next page, albeit with a different header and logo. Furthermore, the articles infinite cycle instead of going deeper into history? And a majority of things are not findable. Would be great if it did what it was supposed to.

Was fine until the last month. The app worked well for me for the first 3 months or so, but last month it started saying I wasn’t connected to the internet, and so it won’t load anything. There have been 3 successive updates but it still won’t work, doesn’t matter if I am in wifi or cellular.

horrible app, horrible website - neither work - save your money!!!. app just flickers uncontrollably, same with their website 😡

Stop Spoiling The Tour De France. I like getting notified by Outside+ but could y’all quit ruining the Tour de France with your annoying push notifications?!?? For crying out loud include a link but just say “Catch up on todays tour” instead “man can you believe pogacar lost the tour today?”

Access to loads of articles but…. …the user interface when reading an article could use an update or two. Any chance you can include scroll bars so you can see how long an article is and track your progress? It would also be nice to be able to zoom in on pictures. Those seem like two basic interface elements to include in any reading app.

Great Magazine. Keeps me occupied on slow days. I look forward to a daily read from Yoga Journal. Tons of short and long articles, videos and information on a variety of topics. It’s like having a supportive friend. Thank you!

Daily destination for adventure. This app is my go to for a daily dose of inspiration and news in climbing, cycling, adventure and more. I check the news apps and get depressed, I check social media and get insecure, I check Outside+ and I get inspired to get outside and get after it. All the best outdoor and cycling publications in one place.

Crash, crash , crash. Crash crash crash. The app has not opened.

Poor quality app, not iPad specific. It’s useless trying to read this on my 12.9 inch iPad. Or any iPad. It’s a phone sized app. Nobody wants to use this on an iPad. It’s not that hard to make it work with an iPad so this is just laziness.

An iPad app should have been a no-brainer. Instead, although this is a magazine publishing conglomerate, we just get a chunky iPhone/iPod touch app. Completely missed the mark. I can't imagine writing a user story for media in the 2020s that only services small screens.

Weird Format. I like outside magazine when it’s in magazine form. The articles are edited in a way that allows me to digest easily and also read in a manner that an editor thought a lot about. Having some random articles in my feed really detracts from this and I feel like I’m missing out on all the different articles.

Text goes over edge. I can’t read the last couple words on the right side of the page for each line of every article in the iPad app. Before the most recent update everything was fine, now it isn’t readable.

How does this have any 5 star reviews?. So basic, yet so hard to use. Bye.

Formatting issue. I love the app use it before, tho on the iPad mini it cuts off half of the article’s consistently. It’s frustrating going back to reading on safari for now.

Can’t login - says “oops we crashed on the way”. Rinse, repeat. Can’t login. First time. Amateur hour.

Saving articles. I’d really like to be able to save articles for future reference.

Was ok not great now unusable. Was always an ok app. Some usabilities proposed by many have been brushed off in lieu of being considered and potentially implemented. An example is the feed not being relevant for the publication of interest. In lieu of letting the user either select publication upfront ( not down toward the end of the app) you have to scroll all the way down etc. The app could use two view: subscribe and for you for example, that way one doesn’t have to do multiple scroll and click to get to it content. That said, now the app is not working at all since last release and always says : we crashed. It is not the first time a release does that. It is sad that this is happening the week of Kona- woman only!!!!!

Been waiting for this!. Finally, all the content from the Outside network in one place. Congrats to the team that has worked so hard on this. **I’m an outside employee

Great content if the app ever worked. I pay for outside plus and yet I can never take advantage of the great content because the app constantly crashes whenever you attempt to play something. I can honestly say 90% of the time I try to watch something I give up.

Disappointing. Still unable to navigate to any videos or movies which is why I wanted this in the first place. WTH seriously no excuse for a difficult unwieldy app in this day and age

App doesn’t load. Got an email encouraging me to get the most out of my membership. Downloaded the app, logged in, and watched a white throbbing screen for 5 minutes until I closed the app. Guess that the most I can get out of membership. As a note, the Roku app is awful too…

Seriously, I pay for Outside + but can’t access the current issue?. Have looked online and on the app extensively. It states Outside + gets the subscribers access to “digital” magazines but I see no way to find current or past issues. If access is there, it isn’t user friendly.

It was a 5. I’ve really enjoyed reading and catching everything on the app. But this week, it’s decided to quit every time I attempt to open it. Yes, it’s up to date and yes, I’ve reloaded it.

You wimp!. Whenever I read about adventures in Outside it seems like unless it’s Patagonia or Denali it’s not worth writing about. Always OMG!! It’s EPIC!! I have to work so they’re just dreams that will probably never happen. I’d like a little more for us mortals.

Too many publications in one app. I subscribed to Outside+ for the Velo cycling coverage. The articles are in this app, but they’re scattered about with articles from other Outside publications. It’s cumbersome. I just want to see Velo articles. The app needs a Settings feature to let users see just what they want to see. A separate app for each publication would be far more user-friendly.

So excited, now so disappointed. I was so excited to purchase the all-access subscription, what with the Velo magazine, plethora of videos - especially gravel bike related - and Trailforks access. So it is very disappointing that the iOS apps running across my two iPhones, three iPads of various ages, all crash when the videos are more than trailer length.

Outside America. This app would be great if I lived in the USA. It’s useless in Australia.

Bad. Have to pay subscription

Only here for Velonews. But i makes me look at articles from all their publications? Wish there was a setting so i could choose what i want to see.

Content seems pretty good. —-Updating my review from 2 stars to 4— Received quick turn around from the developers, and the issue was quickly resolved. Great work from the Dev team! Developers need to fix a bug where the app doesn’t properly detect screen size, and half the article gets cut off
